Starting point is 00:01:27 It turned around and looked at me. Looked up and in this tree there was a monkey man. And the monkey man jumped down out of the tree and started running away. And suddenly they're right in front of the car. He slams on the brakes and manages to stop and you're skidding because it's not quite, you know, graveling. And literally for about a second and a half, they just stood there because they don't know where to go. And you tell them panicking, they're like, with nothing, their face is like twitching. Welcome back to Bigfoot Society, a podcast where we focus on cryptids, the strange and the unexplained of this world.

And if you'd like to support this show, head on over to patreon.com forward slash the Bigfoot Society. And now on with the show. This week's Bigfoot book review is not a book at all, but is the longest print Bigfoot-focused newsletter of its kind. That's right. I'm talking about the Bigfoot Times by Mr. Daniel Perez. first published in the year 1998.
Starting point is 00:03:06 That's right. This print newsletter that Mr. Perez puts out all himself in males, I would guess, around the world. I know it's all over the U.S. I'm a subscriber myself, so it's at least going out to Iowa. But I would assume that it is going out all over the world as well. We'll have to see if Daniel can confirm or deny that. As of January of 2023, the Bigfoot Times is now in its 25th year. Absolutely fantastic.
Starting point is 00:03:46 It is the best info that you can get about Bigfoot monthly is Daniel, he jumps into subjects so deep. And he brings up stuff that. no one else is bringing up. It is well, well worth the current cost as of February 11th, 2023 per the website, bigfoot times.net. And that's where you subscribe to it.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Membership rates right now, $21.75 for U.S. residents, rest of the world, 2475. You can also get back issues as well. Think about that for a minute. you are getting the best news and info about Bigfoot to your mailbox for 2175 a month. It is the best bargain you can ever get in your Bigfoot career. I'm not even kidding.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Let me go ahead and I'm going to peruse. I've got quite a stack now because I've been a member for a little over a year now. Here's write-ups that you've missed in the past if you weren't a subscriber. If any of these sound interesting, you can go to bigfoot times.net. You can see there's an extensive index and you can order back issues for 250 each minimum order of five issues. Let's see, June 22, there's an in-depth write-up about the Ohio Bigfoot conference. April 2022, John Montoya Write up about him
Starting point is 00:05:34 California reports He has Daniel will do Q&As with certain writers There is a Q&A with Dr. Gregory 4th From Between Apes and Human May 2022 He goes deep Into stuff every month
Starting point is 00:05:51 One month there was Michigan Bigfoot handprint evidence From October 2022 See what else He does follow-ups like crazy January 2020, there's a follow-up on the Fort Bragg handprint. He has letters to the editor, so you can write him a letter about a question. It might be put into that.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Daniel, of course, loves to talk about the Patterson Gimlin film. And there are some issues where it gets so deep into the Patterson Gimlin film and everything regarding it. I mean, if you take a subscription to the Bigfoot Times and you also are watching all the videos on Sasquatch Archives by Todd Prescott, you are going to have quite, quite the knowledge. Another issue, October 2021, Bob Titmus in the PG film, Patterson Gimlin film. The other thing I really appreciate about Daniel is that he will hit almost another mission he has is on his website, Bigfoottimes.net. You can go ahead and you can see the most extensive list catalog of Bigfoot focused books that there is on the internet. Hands down, it's the best list. But I especially loved his February 2020 issue of the Bigfoot Times where he talks about
Starting point is 00:07:27 the best Bigfoot books. It's an extensive list. I think you can access this on Bigfoottimes.net as well and why it's important to have each book. That alone was very cool. There's a great issue, September 2020,
Starting point is 00:07:44 about the London Trackway. Sometimes Daniel even publishes about his summer vacation. He did that in August 2022, about how he went. On this episode of Plant Killers, will explore one nation's most notorious fruit and vegetable killer. Bad dirt. What makes bad dirt so bad? The answer? The ingredients. But fear not true crime enthusiasts.
Starting point is 00:08:07 This story has a happy ending. Miracle Grow organic raised bed and garden soil. It's made with quality organic ingredients from upcycled green waste like compost and aged bark. Unlike the other guys who can't say the same. Looks like bad dirt's murdering days are over. Thanks to Miracle Grow. Join us next time on plant killers. All right, quick quiz for the hiring. managers out there. What's worse? Being understaffed or being poorly staffed? It said everything happens for a reason, but maybe everything happens for a recesses. Take noise-canceling headphones. Do they block hearing to height and taste? Hmm.
Starting point is 00:09:40 That sound seems to show. Everything happens for a recess. All these different Bigfoot places. I especially liked the January 2020-3 issue where he talked about, all the Bigfoot things he's been involved with over the years, going all the way back to the mid-70s. And it's just, that alone was a fantastic article.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Like Daniel, so good. Also, the other cool thing that Daniel does every year is he will come up with Bigfoot of the year by the Bigfoot times, which is really cool. you know, that's kind of a big thing. And big footing is you are, you're wondering, oh, who's going to be the big footer of the year this year?
Starting point is 00:10:37 Who are the runner-ups? It's very cool. This year is Shane Carpenter. That's public knowledge because once Daniel releases the info, everyone is talking about, you know, hey, who's the guy or gal this year? Well, this year, the guy is Shane Carpenter. from down in Missouri. But yeah, if you look at the list of the previous years of Bigfooter of the year from Daniel Perez, it's a who's who of people you need to know in Bigfooting for sure.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Here's another fun fact that a lot of people might not know about the Bigfoot Times is if you go to Bigfoottimes. And under newsletter covers, you can literally have the page. load up and you can look at the front page of each and every Bigfoot times going all the way back to January 1998 and that is fantastic and man you can read them you can read just enough to to to be like wow in June 2000 I would really I mean I like this issue because it has that that letter from Don Keating to Daniel Perez and then talks about Ivan Mark passing Ivan Mark's passing away. That sounds pretty cool. But the thing is, guys, you're not going to find this anywhere on the internet.
Starting point is 00:12:11 And if you do, yeah, shame on you. I don't think it even exists on the internet. You have to get the back issues from Daniel Perez. I don't know if someday he might come out with a book public. of the Bigfoot times. That would be pretty incredible. I mean, right now he's looking at how many issues. It would be 300 issues is what he's, if you're going by 25 years, 12 issues a year.
Starting point is 00:12:48 So yeah, it would be like, it'd be just over it. It'd be like 301 somewhere around there. But it's very cool. It's one of those things where literally, you know, it's one of my, it's one of my secret things as a podcaster because I don't know how he does it. But Daniel has these connections and almost every month he's putting out stuff where it's like, hey, this book is coming out or I just heard about this book or this publisher told me about this book about Bigfoot. And I'm like, I haven't heard anything about that or none of my buddies are talking about that on the internet. It's not in any of the groups. How does Daniel know this?
Starting point is 00:13:26 That's what I'm talking about. The Bigfoot Times has the info. If you're serious Bigfooter, you got to get it. You got to get it. Just pony up 2175 for U.S. residents. And this may sound like an infomercial for the Bigfoot Times. It's a review. And maybe it is because that's how good it is.
Starting point is 00:13:51 You need to get this, guys. let me do the math for you right now. Here we go, math break. You are literally paying a buck 82 each month to get this newsletter sent to your home. And you don't have to go digging up the Bigfoot info. Daniel Perez writes that out for you and he sends it to your home, which is fantastic. It's phenomenal. Guys, gals, if you're into bigfooting, get the Bigfoot Times.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Sign up this month. Sign up right now. You hear this episode? Immediately go to Bigfoot Times.net. Sign up. Say Daniel, Jeremiah from the Bigfoot Society said I should check this out for a year. And I'm glad I did. So let me know if you like it after you signed up.
Starting point is 00:14:50 And yeah, good free free. you, Daniel, for working on this the last 25 plus years. The community appreciates what you're doing and you're helping get the info out there and future generations are going to be
