Jefferson, describing the creature’s movements, its unusual behavior, and the detail he returned to measure the following day. He also recounts a nighttime tent collapse near Marion Lake and a rain-soaked hike from Bagby Hot Springs where calls grew louder behind him before another sound came from ahead.Other callers share a snowy Washington road crossing witnessed by four relatives, unexplained screams near Naselle, and reports from East Tennessee and Oregon’s Umpqua region.Join Jeremiah Byron for witness accounts that leave one question lingering: What else is happening beyond the trail?Get the free Bigfoot hotspots report: https://bit.ly/bfsreport📖 Follow Jeremiah's cancer health updates here:https://www.caringbridge.org/site/569ef3d3-68be-11f1-8790-97fdfd2bbc64🗣️ Share Your StoryHad a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience?Send it to bigfootsociety@gmail.com – your story might be featured on the show!🎥 Watch & Subscribe on YouTube🔴 Subscribe here → Bigfoot Society YouTube💬 Leave a comment & let us know your thoughts!📞 Leave a voicemail with your story → Speakpipe (Use multiple voicemails if needed)👥 Share this episode → Watch & Share🎧 More episodes → Podcast Playlist🌲 Recommended: New Jersey Bigfoot Encounters💥 Support the Show & Get Perks✅ Join the community on Supercast – Become a Member✅ Listen ad-free & early on YouTube – Join Here📱 Let’s ConnectInstagram: @bigfootsocietyTwitter: @bigfoot_societyTikTok: @bigfoot.society🧰 Tools & Partners I Use (Affiliate Links)These help support the show at no extra cost to you:Beam (Better Sleep): Try BeamWildgrain (Better Bread): Join HereSeed (Probiotics): Get SeedMedi-Share (Healthcare): Learn MoreLMNT (Electrolytes) Free Sample Pack with your first purchase! : Get LMNTOrganic and non-GMO groceries delivered for lesshttp://thrv.me/uarEhS🎙️ Podcasting Tools:Repurpose.io: Try ItDescript: Sign UpStreamyard: Start RecordingRiverside.fm: Try Riverside🎧 My Audio Interface: View on Amazon☕ Buy Me a Coffee – Support Here🛍️ Grab Some Merch – Shop on Etsy📬 Mailing Address:Bigfoot Society125 E 1st St. #233Earlham, IA 50072

You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible.
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer.
For more updates about his medical journey, please go to the Caring Bridge link in the show notes.
Thank you.
Hey, Courtney, this is Jeremiah.
Feel free to share what you experienced out there in New York.
Yeah, we were traveling up there for a car show.
We have a business trying to build up and head out there with the car,
just left Pine Bush, headed toward Albany, to go over to Great Barrington of Massachusetts.
And we were going through this wooded area and heard some trees breaking.
And I'll email you the coordinates because I have to look it back up.
It's been back in 2019 that it happened.
And we heard some trees breaking.
We stopped.
And we heard like something.
tear within our car.
And we look back and all the straps were broken off of our car.
And we heard a growling yell in a way.
And we immediately pulled over and looked at everything.
And I contacted a couple of people up there to see if it was normal.
And I had to email you the guy's name that I got hold of with his story.
and so to get a hold of that.
But I have more information through that,
and I'll email all that to you.
But yeah, it was not a grout,
because I'm southern Appalachra, I'm East Tennessee.
That's what we, you know,
if you go outside in the dark out here,
you hear your name, no, you didn't.
You know, that's what I always grew up and heard.
And that growl was not something that I ever,
really experienced before. And so it, um, it was odd, but it was also like everything gone
quiet at the same moment. And it's like, what, what happened, you know? And so it was not the
straight line kind of tear either on the shrubs. It was, you know, something tore it. And so it was just,
um, but yeah, it was wild. We were in that like Adirondack woods,
of New York, I guess. It was probably, yeah, up through there. And it was, everything went quiet.
We didn't know what were you were encountering. You know, it was, yeah, let's leave kind of thing.
But at the same time, yes, I'm reading the comments as well. It did shake my ribs.
You could feel it inside of how it wasn't too close, but it's, I don't get scared easily, but with animals,
like that. It is intense of how terrifying that was. But yeah. Have you heard anything else
that comes even close to that? Not recently of that close, but you could definitely hear
things off in the distance. That kind of sounds close to it. It kind of sounds like a bear
with a mountain lion kind of growl okay okay this is really so like a big roar with some kind of
scream at the end yes that's exactly what we're again it freaked me out I heard that in the woods
something like that in the woods of Oregon and it freaked me out dude oh yeah I'll tell you what
it was like it was like time to get out of there oh yeah and we it was I want to say about an
hour and a half south of Albany going through the back of
rose up there. And so it was, it's, you know, at first I thought it was a mountain lion,
but then it had that bear kind of growl in the scream of a witch. So it's like, yep, nope,
we're not dealing with, we're not going to be caught outside with us. But let's just fix the extra
straps and we need to go, you know. Wow. Well, thank you for sharing that. I will be
definitely looking through my email and hopefully
continuing that conversation with you.
Oh, yeah.
I'll have to go through my research and give you what I, all the research I have from that
in the area and the stories that I found from locals.
So.
Awesome.
Thank you, Courtney.
Thank you, big man.
Have a good one.
All right.
That was a great first call.
We had Courtney's sharing about Southern New York.
Hi, Marlene.
This is Jeremiah.
Hi.
It sounds like you had a really interesting thing happened back in 1978.
Would you mind sharing?
Yeah, me and my husband and my brother and sister-in-law were all going sledding way up in the logging road in Nassau.
That's along Highway 4 down by the coast, the bottom of the state.
And we were coming back down off the mountain, going home, and all of a sudden it was snowing real heavy.
And it was about to put a snow on the ground.
We had chains on all four tires so we could, you know, make it up there to go sledding.
And when we were driving down and all of a sudden, a big foot just walked across the road.
Just like you see, the Patterson thing, it turned his head, turned around and saw us coming.
I think we caught it off guard because you know how when you drive in the snow with chains and it's real quiet.
I don't think he expected us to be way up there at that time because of the snow or something.
But he walked right across the road and it was real steep there and my husband was driving and he said,
should we stop or what should we do?
No, no, no, just keep coming.
We don't know what that thing could do to us, you know.
And so by the time we got down, we couldn't really stop because it was so steep and there was so much snow on the road.
But we looked in the woods there in that area where he crossed and we didn't see him inside the woods there.
It took off so fast, I guess.
That's incredible.
Yeah, many people have seen Bigfoot in that same area.
Real, okay, so real quick.
Up until recently, you know, they, one guy said that he was out early in the morning,
getting ready to go hunting, and he was sitting in the car waiting for daylight
and drinking some coffee, and all of a sudden, it was still dark,
and something jumped up on the bumper, the back bumper of the car.
And they said it jumped up and down.
The front tires came off the ground.
Really?
Yeah.
And he said he went down to the downtown to the local pub that night,
and he had a bunch of his buddies get on the back of the car
and try to get the tires to come up, you know, and he couldn't do it.
Wow.
So he said it hadn't have been something like that.
But he got so scared, he said he just took off.
I'm sure.
He was out of there.
I don't blame him.
Yeah, he said he should have turned, flipped the car around.
It seemed to the lights what it was.
Right.
He said that was an afterthought.
Marlene, about your specific sighting, do you remember any details that you saw that kind of took you off guard?
No, just that it was, you know, just tall, dark figure walking, you know, upright.
and it was just dark hair all over, the basic Bigfoot siding, I guess.
Sure.
Did you remember anything about the color of the hair?
It was just brown, but it was heavy snow.
It was really heavy snow that day, snowing.
And my daughter told me that she saw a big foot one time,
but she was too scared to tell me when she was.
She was little.
Oh, wow.
We were going camping and we were driving up the logging roads and she said it was crouched
down behind, and she didn't tell me until just a couple of years ago.
It was crouched down behind the stump that was alongside the road.
And she said, it was looking like, you know, hiding behind that stump and she didn't
want to go camp and she just kept telling me and telling me she wanted to go home.
She wanted to go home because she was scared of sleep up there after she saw that.
Wow.
And did you say that was similar to the area where you had your original sighting?
Yeah, yeah.
In the same area.
And my niece and their friends were always horseback riding when they were younger and then same area also.
And she said they saw one one day when they were out in the woods riding horses.
So I think there's something living right there.
I would say so.
There's just a ton of sightings over the
years. Would you put what you saw that day, would you say it was more ape-like or human-like or
something that's not even either camp?
It was just, it was tall, you know, walk like, kind of like human-like, but it was just covered
in hair. I don't know. It was a distant, a little bit of distance off, maybe a couple hundred
feeds away from where we were.
So it was a little ways, but it started walking across the road and it just turned,
you know, looked at this kind of stopped for a second and then he just hightailed it out of there.
So many people see it there in that same area.
That's exactly what it sounds like.
What county is this again?
That's Pacific, um, Waukegon County.
It's right on the edge.
My house was, um, right there too, not too far.
probably a couple miles as the crow flies, my house was.
And, you know, when we were kids,
we used to always be looking up in the woods up that one.
We always played in the woods when we were kids there.
And one day when we were in the backyard,
mom was hanging clothes on the line and something through a rock pastor.
And she hollered out of the kids and go look out in the bushes
and see who was out there throwing rocks out of her.
And it was a big rock.
And then I found out years later that they were ruptu people to kind of startled them or whatever.
Absolutely.
Wow.
But that was in the same area also.
I'm sure you've heard many accounts over the years, Marlene.
Have they all been non-aggressive or have you heard any accounts where there's actually been an aggressive interaction from the Sasquatch?
I don't know, but I heard a story about a friend's brother.
brother had kind of a nervous breakdown, but he had shot one there in the area.
And that four or five other ones, he got scared and he said he shot it.
He was out hunting and he saw it and he shot it and then he freaked out because he shot it.
And I guess he said four or five other ones came and picked the thing up.
It didn't kill it or anything.
But he said four or five other ones and one of them was kind of gray-haired.
hair like an older one sure and they picked it up and took it off into the woods and I guess
the guy had actual nervous breakdown and he was hospitalized over it he was so traumatic to him
I don't know if you've ever heard about that happening have you ever heard of the siege at
Honubi in hoonubi Oklahoma um no I haven't okay so just just double checking so it's interesting
what you said in that account is very similar to what
happened in Oklahoma where some others came and then carried off the one that had been shot.
Yeah, yeah.
The similar situation, how also happened in southeast Oklahoma.
It's very, very interesting.
Thank you for sharing that, Marlene.
Yeah, yeah.
And there's been a lot of accounts there by my friends, too, they think they witnessed them
or whatever in that same area.
It's between Longview, Washington, and the coast.
Yep.
Highway forward.
Have you ever heard any accounts of people communicating with them in any way?
No, I haven't.
Okay.
Yeah, nothing in that area.
But, you know, Nacelle Washington used to have an Air Force base there.
And it's up on top the hill behind the school.
And it's no longer there.
They tore it down.
But that area, the Air Force Base was
put there after World War II in 1951.
It was built there.
And I didn't know until recently I was looking at it
in Wikipedia, but the Air Force Base there
was kind of guarding the coastline.
And after the war, watching so the Japanese didn't come over,
whatever.
And they had Operation Bigfoot there.
The mission was Operation Bigfoot.
And that's the same area where, you know, that I lived.
Really?
It wasn't, it's a crowfly, you know, and there's lots of timber in between there and where my house is.
It's full woods.
But, Operation Bigfoot.
That's extremely interesting.
That kind of thing makes you wonder, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wikipedia for Nica. There's more information about it up there. But I just like
boyfriend camping one time up there because they have my family had like three
lakes up there. They called the work of the lakes and their man-made lakes and they
have a boys school, the boys prison is located in that location now, but down the hill
from where the main base was up on top of the ridge. But the boys go up there.
and they fix up the camp and stuff.
So it's like free camping up there.
And I took my boyfriend up there to spend the night one night.
And I had recently had a broken leg, and so he set me all up, and I was walking with crutches and stuff.
And he set me up in the tent.
And after I got all set up on the air mattress and stuff, something started screaming.
It was just howling, just constant.
And he said, he's like, what is that?
I said, I don't know.
And dad used to say it was a hooping crane.
So my dad was a timber faller up in that area.
And he said, I don't think there's no hooping cranes up here.
As I didn't see anything in the water.
And it would not stop.
It was just screaming and screaming.
And it scared me and we couldn't see.
anything but it was like right after dark and it just kept going on and on and I got
scared and I said I don't get out of here and he said yeah I don't think whatever it
doesn't want us here and it was so odd because I live in Carson City Nevada I was
living in Carson City Nevada at the time and we drove all through the night just to get
home and in the morning when we got home we turned the TV on and National Geographic
was on and somebody who was camping in Washington had recorded
the sounds of the screaming, which they thought was the big foot.
And it was the same sound that we heard.
And it was just right when we walked in the door, and he said, I think we're meant to hear that.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's interesting.
Yeah.
I think whatever was up there, did not want this there and wouldn't shut up.
Marlene, you've got some really incredible stories.
Yeah, life time.
Life time stuff.
If you ever have any others that you remember or that, you know, you hear of anyone, my email is right there on the screen so you can reach out if you'd like.
Okay. Bigfoot Society at gmail.com.
Yeah, there's a lot of stories out of there.
I bet.
So, you know, and you hear more all the time whenever you talk to anyone about it, you hear more stuff.
And I just remembered another little one.
I guess the gay warden was camping somewhere up there in the mountains with his family one time.
And he'd wandered off to go urinate.
And when he was out, urinate, he saw a big foot in the woods, watching the campground.
Camp site.
And he took his family and got the heck better there.
So you hear all the things.
Oh, my goodness.
I can't imagine having you do that and then you see and you're like, that's it.
I'm never going in the woods again.
Wild.
Marlene,
thank you so much
for hanging out for a bit.
Yeah,
sure,
no problem.
I'm really interested
and all that kind of stuff,
too.
I'm always looking at up on stuff
and hearing and stories
and watching on YouTube.
Yes, ma'am.
Well,
I hope to talk to you again.
All right.
Thank you for coming up on stage.
Have a good day
and hope I didn't take up
too much of your time.
You're good.
All right.
Have a good one.
Love and night.
All right.
Awesome stories from Marlene.
over there in southwest Washington.
Hey Jimbo, this is Jeremiah.
What's going on, brother?
Hey, how's it going?
I live here in Roseburg, Oregon.
You have a lot of photos, a lot of crazy little funky stuff.
Photos I've encountered over the years.
My photos usually come here from the glide area,
and I got some from the Unqua National Forest.
And I have a few photos right here in our backyard
in the Callahound Mountains.
I have photos. I personally haven't seen nothing. I've seen some other stuff, but I haven't seen Bigfoot, but I've seen photos. I have footprints, you know, stuff I've taken photos of. A lot of stuff. I just never came out openly spoken with anybody to for the particular reason that we live in a small town. And, you know, I don't want, we own a business out here. My family does. I don't want to think everyone thinks we're lunatics. So I just kind of kept private about it. But, you know, I was like, I started to think I ran into it.
right now I say you know I come out and share it but I have a lot of photos my brothers
have stories wow we've seen a lot of stuff out here and this is a small town you know
no one really comes out and speaks about it but everybody knows their stuff around here going on
Jimbo I'll tell you what I have talked to more than a few people from Roseburg already
for my podcast there are there's a few people definitely in your town more than a few that
have had interactions and encounters that area is definitely very interesting
especially over by UMQA.
So you have photos where it's, you said, footprints and, like, what other things are in the photos that you've seen?
Like, what would you say, like, big old sticks?
Like, I would say, like, I don't know, you see, like, structures in the middle of nowhere.
So I would go on a hike, go on the razor, jump off on a hike in a particular area where you know it's very remote.
And these logs that are put up on the walls or whatever you want to call made structures.
Yeah.
They're like five, 400 poundage logs.
I mean, just the sure fact, someone lifting them is kind of insane.
And I just by looking, I'm, I don't think, no, it's possible, but I don't think no one's
out there.
Building random structures in the middle of nowhere.
I got photos of that.
Just random stuff.
My brother said he has a story where they went to Tocutti Falls and his sister, oh, his mother-in-law
saw a baby one running through the woods.
Oh, wow.
Ran him out.
They all freaked out, like during the evening.
he has a story about that he can tell photos i have a bunch of stuff you know i'll just love yeah yeah
please uh please reach out my my email is right up there it's bigfoot society gmail dot com and then i
would love to you know anyone who's had an encounter like that i would love to talk to them and
uh that's that's a very unique one there's not many i don't think i've ever talked to
anyone who has seen um a baby like that maybe one person over five years that's very rare
yeah it was small ones they freaked them out
Wow. Yeah, let's, uh, yeah, send an email for sure, Jimbo. Yeah.
Okay, brother. You guys have a good one.
Thank you, sir.
Hey, Tammy. This is Jeremiah. What's going on today, Tammy?
Well, I was just wanting to tell about a friend that I know is very trustworthy.
He owns some property in East Tennessee.
It's Buck Mountain property. I'm sorry, my child's yelling in the background.
Oh, you're good.
He has had two sightings on there.
He goes up there, let me move somewhere else.
Sure.
He goes up there periodically to check on his land because sometimes people go up there and camp out and stuff.
It's really rugged there.
A lot of undergrowth.
I've been up through there before, and I'd say the undergrowth in places is probably about 12 foot high,
and there's tunnels through that.
undergrowth and the tunnels are probably the really big tunnels I mean I could walk through those tunnels but anyway he has seen two up there
I've got a picture of one
It's walking up a hill. It's I don't know it's weird. He took it in the evening. He took it through his truck window
and it is drizzling. It's not one of those blobs or anything like that, but it kind of looks like an x-ray
But you can see eye sockets.
You can see where it's got teeth.
It's carrying something around its waist.
To me, it looks like a pig or a dog.
But you can see its muscle outlines, its thighs.
You can see its shoulder outlines, which are big,
looks kind of like a weightlifter.
But it is up there, and I do believe him.
He has invited us to come up there if we wanted to camp out and all that stuff.
but I'm too scared to even try to do that.
I may know a guy, if you had sent me an email,
I would love to continue a conversation with you.
I may know a guy who would take him up on that,
an area researcher in East Tennessee.
He's a good guy.
But you said, so you have that photo?
Yeah, I sure do.
I can send it to you.
I'm not really sure how to.
I don't know if you've been, I just now tuned into your little podcast, but I don't, you don't put them up here on the screen or anything, do you?
No, no.
So I, and we haven't even talked about this, but I would assume that this would be an off-record photo, probably not to share with anyone.
Okay.
Well, I mean, that's what I'm asking.
Is that something where you wouldn't want me to share with other people or?
Well, I don't care if you do, and I'm sure he wouldn't care, just as long as nobody would come on his property because those people in Bucking,
Mountain don't care to shoot you.
I'll just tell you that.
That's what I hear.
So, yeah, if you want to send me that photo to Bigfoot Society at gmail.com, I would love to take a look at that.
Okay, dear.
Thank you.
Great.
Thank you, Tammy.
Bye, bye.
Wow, that is very, very interesting.
I've heard of a few things happening in that Buck Mountain area of Tennessee.
It's right on the border, I believe, of North Carolina.
Hey, Ryan, this is your mind.
And it looks like you had a really interesting thing happen out there by Mount Jefferson.
Feel free and share.
Yeah, so I was camping my father up there at a Lally Lake.
It was just after the snow finally milton Alfa up there because it's up like 5,500 feet elevation.
And so, you know, we're up there for a camp trip fishing.
And so I went for a little walk and there's an old road up there.
It's the old Brightbush road that would go back along the border of the tribal lands and the Mount Chef Wilderness, and then it would loop around, and the Forest Service quit maintaining that road.
And so there's a bunch of little alpine lakes there that, you know, weren't fished a lot.
So I went back right along that road.
There was a couple of little alpine lakes I was scouting to do some fishing.
and when I went back, it was about the second lake back on that road, I saw something,
I was like, huh, this is kind of odd back there.
Like, my first thought was like, okay, what's a very tall man and this kind of pad golf
suit waiting this lake?
Because I just, that's just, you know, I'm looking for fishing.
Like, I would expect to see somebody fly fishing in the lake, you know, waiting.
I said, that's what I would expect.
I'm going, okay, this is going to odd because that's head to toe now and it's kind of a conical
head like, okay, wait a bit, no, that's not a man. And it was picking cattails out of the lake.
And then I look closer as I kind of kid myself behind a tree and kind of poke my head out.
And I got a really close look and it was hair head to toe. And it was actually grabbing
cat tails and throwing it up onto the bank repeatedly and I watch this thing for
about 15 minutes do that as the wind was coming to my face so I had that
advantage as it didn't didn't get my scent fortunately and but then as the wind
shifted and blew my wind back that direction towards it it got my scent
as I was poking my head out behind behind this large tree
it locked eyes with me and it was not like a scary deal or anything i was not didn't feel threatened
but then it turned around and got out of the lake picked up its cat-tails walked about 15 feet
up the hill to the top of the bank and then turned around put its hand up on this tree and
kind of ducked under this branch and just kind of looked at me for a second and then walked off into the
the woods and that was the end of the sighting I went back the next day with this
with this large like meter stick you know it goes those those those large and I was
like a meter stick you know measuring sick and I went back to kind of see about how large
that were that branch was and I kind of went up there and I'm like five foot eight so I'm not
that tall but reached way up there and I kind of
reached where I thought it would you know where it be and I kind of hit it and looked down
and that thing measured to be about eight feet tall so that's the end of the sighting I had and the
thing was kind of a more of a reddish color and being that time of year and a snow kind of melted off
you know I saw that thing come out of the lake it was kind of really lanky and skinny like it
was kind of you know mountain earnest about that time of year so that
Yeah, that's the end of my sighting.
That is, that's incredible.
Thank you for sharing that.
I mean, that's such a long time to have a sighting.
You've said about 15 minutes.
Yeah, I think I was, the only reason why I had that advantage
because the wind was blowing in my face and in my direction,
so my scent was blown in the other direction.
Right.
Were there any things that you noticed during that time
that were like, wow, this is different than what I've heard about these things?
things before or anything that really like took you back?
You know, the only thing is, is I didn't feel threatened.
It was, it was a calm and peaceful interaction.
There was no grunting.
There was no bluff charging.
There was no nothing.
It just as it after it, uh, smelled me and then we locked eyes and we,
and it noticed me and it got up the hill and it took a second look at me.
You know, it just, it was just kind of wanting to wander off and, you know, it was just kind of wanting to get away.
Absolutely.
Did you notice any emotions in the face as you were looking at it for that long?
It was totally emotionless.
Really?
You know, it was just kind of like, it didn't feel threatened by me.
I didn't have, you know, I just had fishing gear on me, you know, and I was, I was wanting to fish, you know.
And it wasn't like hunting cheese or anything.
things that I think it kind of knew I was not a threat so kind of like you know I've had
experiences this is kind of off off the big foot thing but I've had experiences off of
near season to where I've been able to approach those and be able to actually touch and pet them
you know as I don't have any weapons on me and I'm not a threat to them and once I do that
they kind of hop off and do their thing, you know, so I kind of feel maybe that's kind of the same
thing with them, you know.
That 15-minute interaction, did you have, do you have anything from that day that helps you
remember it or is just your memories that you kept from that day?
It's, you know, it's totally my memories.
Okay.
I mean, it was a clear day.
Like I said, it was, it was mid-July.
know, like I said, I remember the snow, it was just, we'd gone up like two weeks before,
and there was still two feet of snow on the ground.
So we went, we, we, we said, okay, we're not going to camp this weekend.
So we went back and that's where we went up to set up camp that weekend because the snow had finally melted.
You know, it was probably, I would say it was temperature-wise.
I remember being still only like in the mid-50s or so, but it was completely clear.
So how old were you again at that time?
I was 24.
Okay.
From what you saw, did it remind you more of something that was human or more did it have more ape-like features or was it something that could even be anything?
It would seem more like human but like I said with a conical head.
It was head to toe here and it was kind of more of a reddish brown, you know.
long long lanky arms it was really skinny that time look and like said I said I
think it was really skinny because it just could come out of the winter snow
so and like said I I'm I'm kind of like a survivalist prepper and I know like
per food cat tails the roots are the roots are food the socks are food
yeah you know and and and then the the the tops you can actually flare those out and
use those as bedding so the whole thing can be used for different things and I think it knows
it can we use that too so oh absolutely yeah we used to make uh pancakes out of out of uh cat tails growing up
my father was kind of a similar situation um did when it was taking them gathering them did it
look sorry did it look more like someone who was gathering them to use them or just someone who's like
getting them out there trying to clear a path oh it was differently gathering to be used
them they would grab them by a handful and then and then tossing them up on the bank in a pile
okay definitely for use and when it came back out of the lake it bent over and he grabbed them all
like in both hands and then walked up I mean effortlessly should walk up this 15-foot
bank with both of them both hands so
Have you ever looked, done any research to see if there had been other sightings in that same area?
I have looked like on the BFR site and there has been lots of sightings in that area.
So in my, what I think honestly is with the, since that is kind of the crook of Mount Jefferson Wilderness,
and in that area, the wilderness, not a lot of people go there.
The other part of it being a confederated tribes of warm springs, there's not a lot of natives that go in that part of their reservation.
It's almost an area where they can hide out.
And I know, I know personally there's a cave up in that area within a few miles called Boca Cave.
That's actually a very it's a shallow cave, but it's a very large cave where they can seek shelter up there in in
rain and snow and all that stuff and that's only just one that I know of there could be many other up there because of Mount Jefferson being a volcanic mountain and there could be other lava tubes up there and all that kind of stuff so oh wow what a what county is this in
that would be Mount Jefferson County in Oregon okay gotcha
That whole, that Warm Springs Reservation, that's an interesting spin to this report, being that it makes you really wonder, you know, why they're not going to that part of their reservation land.
If maybe there are stories like, don't go in this area, that's where they hang out.
You never know, right?
Yeah, well, see, also, it's so far up into the mountains.
I think they only use more the part that's towards civilization as well.
And it's so heavily forced and it is just thick with trees.
So I think there's that that's kind of two of the reasons.
And then maybe they in their in their in their history and in their legends that they say,
hey, maybe what they call stick Indians is the big foot.
I got a friend of mine.
this native that they say, hey, we have stick Indians and we don't, we don't, we're, hey,
we don't deal with these guys to stay away from this area.
That's where they are at.
And he's, he's up in a Calich tribe up there by Mount St. Helens.
That's like, you know, there.
And they've got these, these stories of, hey, we have stick Indians in this area and we don't,
we don't go there.
But that's a whole other, that's a whole other story from him.
Oh, absolutely.
They, uh, but they, it's just like I said, you know, um, you know, just another spin on that reservation.
My father was a, uh, surveyor and engineer for the force service.
And when he was doing all that stuff in the 1970s and early 80s, um, he said there were many times when he'd been out there, they had to pack in overnight and staying at
tent that they had heard they had heard wolves out there at the edge of the the
the Warren Springs wilderness out there when they were doing surveying and
officially they hadn't had wolves in Oregon for years out there wow yeah so
you know you can you got you get two different things kind of going out there
and you know then and where I could definitely see the Bigfoot thrive out there
at the edge of the warm springs area and then also in that upper end of the
Mount Jefferson Wilderness where I know there's got to be lots of caves
absolutely just random question have you heard of any accounts down in the
Willamette National Forest yes specifically by Oak Ridge or around that area
not down as far by Oak Ridge but I have another
possible Bigfoot story is kind of a weird event. Me and my friend were hiking more down
Marion Lake. It's more down kind of down by San Diego Pass. And we're down by a mountain called
Three Finger Jack further south than a Mount Jefferson Wilderness. And it's more of a swampy area
down there. And so it's camping overnight. And I had this like an A-frame tank called a Eureka
Timberline and it was a four person tent. And it's still a
want to have that time and I'm laying down sleeping and all of a sudden I feel the
bridge of that tent collapsed all the way down on my face middle of what I'm sleeping.
So I take this big old flashlight I have, I rip the front of the tent open and I come
out there and that tent springs right back up and I hear this big old crash and this black
object crashed right through the woods running away from me.
and it definitely wasn't a barrier.
It was something on two feet.
And it just happened so quick and I'd just woken up, you know,
it's just kind of like, huh, what was that?
Wow.
Yeah.
Oh, good on you for, I mean, not everyone would have rushed out of their tent after it, though.
That's incredible.
Man.
I've always been in, in the situation.
I've always been to something where I've always been able to make calmness and I've
been able to remain situation aware situationally aware even in really bad situations
like that you know or really scary situations because you know it's it's I don't
know just some some thing in me I were able to do that I've had another situation
you know where Bagby hot springs is there's a nice hot springs you hike about a mile
half into the woods in the bull of the woods wilderness and so anyways me and a
buddy we hiked in there and we'd soaked for about three or four hours a really nice
soaking these wood tubs in the middle of the wilderness and so anyways we got them with our
so because there was only a couple other people up there this time and but it was really raining heavy
and we were hiking about halfway back down the the the trail which is right next to the river and it was
like in springtime so the river was swollen and flowing and it was like a heavy spring rain and all
a sudden behind me uh i heard this whoo whoop who just really faintly and then it was
you know our our flash sites were kind of going on them and dim but we knew the trail really well so we're
kind of hiking a little fast and i hear this i'm all right well better a little just kind of pick it up a
little bit and i didn't tell my buddy but i kind of hiked a little faster and and about a minute later
i heard that whoop about twice as loud and you know consecutive threes and i like uh my buddy
stops and hey what was that i like yeah well i know what it is it's like what is it's a big foot dude
And I was like, no, I said, yeah, it is.
So, started hiking a little faster, and all of a sudden, it would, it did it again.
In the second, it was threes, but it was so loud, it reverberated through my chest.
And then all, and that was behind us.
And then all of a sudden in front of us, we heard this, ah, just like that.
It's like there was one right in front of us.
I had a feeling maybe there was a family group there and it was trying to scare us out of the area.
At that point, we were in a dead run out of there on that trail.
But like I said, we've been up there so many times.
We knew that trail, so we just did run out of there the last quarter mile that trail to the trail that had gotten in the car and left.
We didn't have an actual sighting because it was nighttime.
But, yeah, that's the hearing thing we had.
And that's the big three that I've had with Bigfoot in the,
and that whole area is, like I say, between O'alley Lake and that where three-fingerjack is,
where Baggmy's Oxygen is, that's all within a 15-mile area.
That is, those are some wild, wild accounts, Ryan.
Thank you for sharing that.
You're welcome.
Keep me in mind, you know, if you ever run into any,
