Bigfoot Society - Glowing-Eyed Skunk Ape Stuns Teenagers at Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge, Florida
Episode Date: August 11, 2026One summer evening in 1977, three teenagers walked toward the edge of Florida's Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge and came face-to-face with an eight-foot-tall Skunk Ape. Standing motionless just yards away..., the creature's glowing red eyes, powerful build, and unmistakable odor created a moment none of them would ever forget.Carol Stanhope joins Bigfoot Society to share her unforgettable encounter, along with the remarkable history of Skunk Ape reports throughout Palm Beach County during the 1970s—including accounts involving sheriff's deputies, farmers, and security guards.Later in the episode, the conversation expands across North America with firsthand experiences from Ontario, Northern Quebec, Oklahoma, Virginia, Iowa, and Oregon. You'll hear reports of tree knocks, mysterious rock throwing, tracks deep in remote forests, powwow encounters, possible gifting behavior, and a child's startling visual sighting during a family prayer.Every story comes directly from the people who experienced it. Listen all the way through and decide for yourself what may be living just beyond the tree line.Resources: https://fdc.com/blog/florida-skunk-ape-cryptids/https://www.westpalmbeach.com/the-skunk-ape/https://www.facebook.com/carol.stanhope.52/https://nonstatetorture.org

You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible.
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer.
For more updates about his medical journey, please go to the Caring Bridge link in the show notes.
Thank you.
All right, Bigfoot Society.
You've got the privilege of talking to Carol today.
Carol is a individual.
She's a human rights activist and author from the Palm Springs, Florida area.
But we are talking today about a very interesting experience she had back in the
1970s in Florida.
And so, Carol, welcome to the show.
How are you doing today?
Oh, thanks for having me.
How are you doing today?
You know, I'm doing all right.
We were talking a little bit before things started and still at the point that once this
releases, I'll be into treatment.
But right now, before treatment, I'm feeling pretty good physically.
We're just hoping and praying that that continues and not a lot of side effects
once treatment starts.
But hope and pray for the best.
You know, but Carol, this sounds like a very interesting thing you had happened back in the 1970s,
but you have some interesting information that even goes further back that you would like to share as well, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, we live on the edge of the northern Everglades here in Palm Beach County.
one of the well-known sites is called the Loxahatchie Wildlife Refuge,
and that's where many of the sightings in and around that area is.
There's a big park there.
There's actually scientists doing air, water, and soil samples there.
So it's kind of like Skunket Central.
So I guess I'll just go into the incidents that,
led up to the siding that my friends and I had up in the summer of 1977.
So we're starting out with two sheriff's deputies called Marvin Lewis and Ernie Milner.
And this was in the Lantana area in 1974.
And apparently they had come face to face with a rather large skunk ape.
I guess it was very aggressive towards them.
They took a shot at it.
I do believe they grazed it.
And then I think it ran off into the woods.
And then there was, it was like a spate of different encounters.
And then the second one is a gentleman by the name of Buddy Sterrett.
He was a farmer in Lantana, Florida.
And this was also, I think September.
of 1974 and he came face to face with a skunk ape in his barnyard, which proceeded to pick up one of his
hundred-pound hogs and run off into the woods with it. So that was very shocking for that,
for that poor gentleman. And then there was another incident right after that in Wellington, Florida,
which is the equestrian center, kind of like, well, I guess of the world, actually.
And it was a gentleman by the name of Carrie Cantor,
and I think he was a security guard in a wealthy neighborhood in the equestrian center.
And an aggressive skunk ape came out of the woods,
and I guess he came face to face with it.
And he took a shot at it and apparently wounded it.
And then I guess it just ran back off into the marsh.
So those were the, you know, those were the very credible sightings, you know, that led up to the sighting that my friends and I had,
which fast forwards to August of 1977.
We were just a bunch of hippies in Boynton Beach, Florida, which is where the Loxahatchew Wildlife Refuge is.
a very well-known place. And we had a rope swing out there. You know, just a bunch of kids,
you know, having fun, doing flips into the water. Sometimes there would be 50 to 100 of us, you know,
that would go out there and just hang out in the summertime. And in this balmy August day in
in 1977, we're just having a good time.
And it was getting to be around dusk.
And me and my two friends were packing up.
And my girlfriend, my girlfriend looks up to the tree line,
which is about, I don't know, maybe 12, maybe 12 or 14 yards away from where we were
standing, like the tree line was on the edge of the marsh.
and she looked up and she goes, y'all, what is that?
And there was a eight-foot Auburn-colored skunk ape that was staring at us.
And it was so, it was scary and it was comical at the same time because my two friends and I froze and the skunk ape froze.
And it was like a standoff.
We were just standing there staring at each other.
I mean, we were so incredibly, so incredibly scared.
And this thing had like, it was at dust.
This thing had glowing red eyes.
And I'll tell you, I've never been so scared in my life.
And I'll tell you also that ever since that siting in August of 1977,
I've had a lot of supernatural experiences, I believe, because of that.
That is absolutely fascinating, Carol.
I have a few questions for you.
First off, regarding the accounts you were sharing at the beginning, are those stories that you heard?
Are those from the newspaper articles you read?
Yes, yes.
And I did send you the links for those.
Gotcha.
Okay.
Very good.
Just wanted to double check on those.
So I will have those.
I believe, yeah, you sent a few links in the show notes so listeners can do some research.
on on those as well so you your citing is about 14 yards away and what was the what was the
do you remember like the muscular structure of what you were looking at was it lanky was it very
muscular what were we looking at he was he was lanky like he was lanky like a a basketball player
kind of like a maybe a larry bird or uh or michael jordan he wasn't he wasn't fat he was just tall he
It was like an oak tree.
It was very, very, it reminded me of that movie, scared stiff.
We just, we just stood there in suspended animation.
We were so, so scared.
And my girlfriend, my best friend is the one who spotted him standing in the tree line right at the edge of the marsh.
Okay, so just in the tree line, frozen, eight foot tall, Auburn with glowing red eyes.
That is quite a picture.
Yeah.
And very stinky, wet dog and sulfur, mostly sulfur.
Very sulfur.
And I still, and it's funny, Jeremiah, later on as an adult, I became a property manager,
and I ended up going and managing the properties where the scientists live out there now.
They're taking water or water and soil and air.
and air samples, which is going to help to facilitate the rebuilding of the Kissimmee River.
And so I ended up working for Dr. Eric Klein, who's running the Lila Project, which is the land
assessment thing, how they're trying to restore all of the ecosystem.
So it's funny.
Things kept drawing me back to that area.
It's really strange.
That is a really interesting way that you were able to.
to get back to that area.
So you mentioned it was at dusk.
So were you able to see details about it?
Maybe not 100% because it was dusk or what do you feel about that?
Yeah, he was very well defined and very well-cap, like not, I mean, it looks like he just came out
of the marsh because that section of the Everglades, which is called the Lockshead.
Hatchew Wildlife Refuge. I think that section that hooks up to the other million or so is around
40,000 acres. So he came out of like a 40,000 acre like sawgrass marsh, but he didn't look
like really messy. He looked like he was pretty well, pretty well kept, pretty well, you know,
kept himself, groomed himself well, but very, a lot of definition in the chest. And I just remember those
big,
glowing coal.
They were like glowing,
glowing coals, you know,
on a barbecue.
That's all I can remember.
It was very,
very scary.
And we went back to my girlfriend's house
that night, and we were so terrified.
We did, we closed the shades,
and we didn't want to see anybody or anything.
Just absolutely frozen with terror.
Wow.
How old would you, in your friends,
been around that time? I was 15 and my friends were 18 and 20. Okay, that's that's wild.
Some witnesses describe what they see as having facial features more human-like or sometimes more
ape-like. Would you describe what you saw towards either one of those or maybe something completely
different? I would say the stereotypical
of a picture of what a Neanderthal
looks like. Okay. A Neanderthal face is
what we saw and I will never forget it as long as I live
and my life has had a lot of supernatural and paranormal
experiences ever since then which it's going to be
50 years, you know, next, well, the following August,
in 2027.
And that's a conversation we wanted, I would like to get into in a few minutes.
For listeners who have not seen a picture of Neanderthal,
what are some features of that face that,
that jump out in your memory that would make you lean towards Neanderthal features?
Very pronounced eyebrow ridges.
Deep set eyes and pronounced eyebrow ridges.
Okay.
Interesting.
Were you able to...
Go ahead.
And a big, like, spread out, you know, like a flat kind of, well, not an ape nose,
but more of a flat spread out nose.
But those eyes and those, those, those.
Those deep-set eyes and those eyebrow ridges are really what grabs you.
Was it completely covered with hair?
Not the chest.
The head had a very long mane.
The chest was bare.
You could see the definition in the chest.
The arms had a lot of hair.
and the legs.
But the chest was very defined and no hair on it.
Okay.
And there was a very strong salty smell.
Gotcha.
How long was the main?
I would say maybe four to five inches long.
Okay.
Were you able to tell if it was a male or female in any way?
I did not see any genitalia.
I did I uh, maybe it was because it was obscured in the tree line and it was it was getting towards, you know, dark.
Absolutely.
But I did not, I did not.
And I didn't see any, I didn't see any pronounced mammary glands either.
So I can, I can venture, I guess it may have been a male.
Sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
Um, remind me again how the end of the encounter when, uh, you,
I remember there you guys were staring at each other.
Everyone was frozen.
It had glowing red eyes.
But how did it end again?
It seemed like an hour that we had this stare off.
But it was probably more like about five minutes.
And after we gained our composure and realized what we were looking at,
and I don't know if it was my girlfriend or her brother said,
that is an FNBF.
meaning a bigfoot and I don't know we still called it bigfoot here back then I don't know why but we
we jumped in his truck and we we burned rubber down the gravel road and we didn't I never went back
there again until I was an adult which was like probably starting about 15 years ago that's when
I started working for Dr. Eric Klein who runs the Lila project out there land assessment they
like water,
water, soil, and air samples, you know, for restoration of the Kissimmee River to restore the,
you know, to restore the habitat.
Fascinating.
Let's say after you burn rubber out of there, you guys are obviously talking amongst
yourselves.
Was there a time after that, then you told someone else that wasn't there about what had
happened, or did you wait a while to share that with anyone not?
present. Yeah, yeah, because we we figured everybody would think we were crazy. And, you know,
we did tell our immediate families about it, but they gave us the furled eyebrows. But, you know,
Palm Beach County has had a lot of sightings, even more so than what I told you in the
beginning of the interview. I mean, we're not, we're not skunk ape. This isn't a skunk ape
theory. This is a skunk ape fact. Many, many, many credible people, including
including, you know, cops, judges, lawyers, people from all walks of life have seen these things.
And, you know, I was sober and sane as a judge.
And so were my friends that day.
And we know what we saw.
And there wasn't anything else that could have been.
Fascinating.
I was actually just going to ask that if, so you were 100% sober from any substances that would have.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We were just out.
We were just out having fun doing flips on the rope swing.
There's like a little shell pit off to the side of the marsh.
And, you know, just having fun with our friends.
So you're 15 years old.
After that, you know, sometimes you talk to witnesses and their experience makes their life go in a certain way based on, you know,
focused on if they are into Bigfoot, they're trying to figure out what it is, or sometimes
they're like, I don't want anything to do with it. Did it affect your future life in any way
having that experience?
I seem to be more protected in my life, like, from danger.
You know, like near misses with car accidents and stuff. It was really strange. It seemed like,
it didn't seem like it had a negative effect on my life. It seemed. It seemed.
like it had a positive effect, almost like I was like protected from like near miss, you know,
car accidents, all kinds of things. It's really strange. I've seen a lot of, a lot of a
supernatural phenomenon. That is fascinating. I definitely want to get into that. So how,
how soon after that was that you started to notice supernatural or paranormal type of
things happening in your life?
It was probably when I got married a few years later.
I got married very young at 18, which was typical amongst the hippies, not only here in
Palm Beach County, but pretty much probably nationwide, if not worldwide.
And I just, I've even seen, people don't believe it, but I've seen manifestations of angels
too.
Like I've seen the angel Raphael.
I mean, I don't care who doesn't believe it, but I believe that angel Raphael is present in my life, and I believe he's my guardian angel, because I have seen him.
That's fascinating.
Did you ever have any, some individuals report having everything from dreams to messages in different ways?
Is that anything that you've experienced as well?
Um, yes, um, more like dreams of comfort, like, um, you know, after a divorce and everything,
I, I ended up in a very bad way, kind of like disenfranchised. And like I had, um, angelic, um,
what do you call it? Comfort, like comforting dreams, like it's going to be okay. And, um,
you know, and I, and I'm okay now. I mean, I'm, I'm an, I'm a published author. Um, I've been a human rights
activists, even on a UN level for 20 years.
So, I mean, I just feel like this encounter bestowed a lot of blessings on my life is the best way to sum it up.
That's awesome.
I love that.
You mentioned working with scientists down the same area, and I have a few questions about that.
in your discussion with the scientists, has it ever come up where, you know, back in the 70s,
I actually had something weird happen. Has that ever come up or you kind of just leave that off to the side?
No, we were, I worked for a property management company and we kept the quarters for Dr. Eric Klein,
who's run the Lila Land Assessment Project there in the Loxahatchie Wildlife Refuge.
I think that he's been out there for over 20 years.
And I do believe he originates at the University of Iowa as well.
Very nice guy.
And he's very focused, very focused on making sure that this restoration of the Kissimmee River is seen through to its completion.
So, no, you know, they said little things.
They said little things.
yeah, we've seen stuff because those boys go out on those airboats in the back 40,000 acres.
And of course, they've seen it.
But they're not going to tell the property managers, you know, outright what they've seen.
But we all have the knowing looks.
We know that they're out there.
But, you know, we all have our reputations to protect as well.
Oh, I totally, totally get it.
Have you had any other Bigfoot encounters yourself since that time in the 70s?
No, I have not. That was the only one, but I would love to see another one. I was in Northern California last year, and I wished I could have got up to, you know, Willow Creek or Bluff. What is it? The Bluffs over there. I wish I could have done that, but I want to go back or I'd even like to go to the Olympic Peninsula because I'm kind of, I kind of like laser focused on this. I've even got my T-shirt, my classic hide-and-seeing.
t-shirt on today because I just I love I love the cryptic genre so much it is a really I think it's
one of those and it's one of those genres and especially you know Bigfoot related where there's so
much information in our culture that's available online on the internet on computers and it's one of
those where we don't have the information so it's like one of those last great mysteries you know
and I think that really draws us in as humans we have to
figure it out and or experiencing it, you know, there's different ways to look at it.
But why is it that you would want to have another experience?
Is there a certain reason why you would want to have another sighting?
Yes, because it hasn't had a negative effect on my life.
I believe, I believe that some type of spiritual goodness was just bestowed upon my friends
an eye during that encounter. So, I mean, it was fearful looking. I mean, it was an imposing figure
to look at something eight feet tall with glowing red eyes, but it hasn't, it hasn't negatively
affected my life. I feel like it's, I feel like it's had a positive impact on my life. So I
want some more of that. Yeah, absolutely. No, I get that too. It's like you have these experiences,
and I've had some myself out in Oregon and in Iowa where I'm from.
And once you have a really awesome positive experience,
I've never had a visual yet,
but I've just had some really weird stuff happen.
It is very, you do want more of it.
Addictive has such a bad connotation,
but in a way it kind of is.
Now, since that time in the 70s,
Have you heard of any other experiences or encounters happening in that same area or same region?
No, and I believe the reason is, is because we haven't experienced such a dramatic drought.
And they, even the cops around here said that they believe that the spate of Bigfoot sightings that we had between, let's say, 72 and 78 were precipitated by the drought.
So the skunk apes came more into the rim canals, you know, to get water and food and whatever the case may be.
But that's the rationale that they give for why all that was happening in that like six-year period.
That's really, really interesting.
Okay, very, very cool.
It'd be interesting if there are listeners that have also had experiences in the same area or know of,
of more recent ones, feel free to send me an email at Bigfoot Society, gmail.com, or you can send me,
you can put it in the comments too. It's, you're definitely have a better chance of getting through
if you send me an email though, because the comments are pretty well. There's a lot of them to get
through. So now, just curious, in the same area down there, do you have to deal with other
strange things or is it just skunk ape in this area?
Yeah, I've seen after that, like I said, Jeremiah, after that encounter in 77, I've seen
I've seen floating orbs like I was at a barbecue one time. I think it was in the January
of 1980, which would have been, you know, almost three years later. We saw like orbs over my
friend's house and like glowing like glowing, glowing,
orbs. Some of them were green. Some of them were silver. Yeah,
just like supernatural like phenomenon and apparitions.
There's a lot of that. There's a lot of that around here. People are like,
well, that's swamp gas or that's Will of the Whisp. Well, some of it might be,
but I don't think all of it is. I mean, if I'm at my friend's house in the suburbs,
I don't think that's the will of the wist, you know?
No, absolutely.
How big were these orbs you were seeing in the 80s?
One was pretty big.
The green one was probably eight to 10 feet in diameter.
It was huge.
And me and my friends were just, we were just like, gaga, staring at this thing.
And everybody was like trying to rationalize, you know, what it was.
But like I said, Jeremiah, I link all of these other, you know, strange encounters
back to the original skunk ape siding in August of 1977.
And, you know, if I wouldn't have seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed all the other accounts.
But like I said, we've had cops, judges and lawyers in this county, and we know that they're here.
Oh, 100%.
How far away from you guys was that eight to ten?
foot diameter or the green one would you say oh it was uh i'd say it was hovering um maybe 20 feet above
above my friend's house oh okay and this was during it like a barbecue um did it just suddenly
float away or how is the ending of that encounter um yeah it hovered for several minutes and then it just
like it just like rose. It just like rose. I don't know if something like snatched it back up.
If there was something else in the clouds, it snatched it back up. But then it just rose quickly.
And it like dissipated. It was really strange. I haven't looked it up. But I understand that a lot of
these phenomenon happen on what's called laylines. So that's something that I have to look up.
I don't know if this section of South Florida, you know, is on a lay line. That would be
something interesting to check out. Laylines are so weird because it's a fascinating subject,
but it's not like there's like if you look up laylines map, you're going to see tons of them.
And it's not like they're, okay, this is the official laylines map. But when you look at the
map and you're like, okay, it goes through this area and this area and this area. You're like,
it kind of makes sense because these are weird areas, right? So I think it's something to consider
for sure. You mentioned that you also have had experiences with apparitions as well. Is that anything
that you could share about? Yeah, it was really strange. I think it was about four years ago
when my daughter was graduating from the University of Florida, and I decided to take the
Amtrak to and from my daughter's graduation because I just wanted to, you know, enjoy looking at the
scenery and have a couple of cocktails, you know, on the bar car and stuff. And so that was all good.
I went to my daughter's graduation. And then on the trip back, I was sitting, I was sitting outside,
waiting for the return train, you know, to come to take me back to Palm Beach from Gainesville.
And I took a selfie of myself smiling with a P sign to send to my daughter saying, okay, I made it to, I made it to the
train station and I'm okay and I'm on my way back to Palm Beach and Jeremiah, whenever I took
that selfie and then I blew it up and the background of the selfie was the tree line, the tree
line that was behind the train station. It was actually my backdrop of the selfie. There was like a
it was like a picture of the hell realm.
And my daughter still has that picture.
There was like all these like goofy distorted faces.
I mean, it wasn't like abstract.
You could make out that there's all these goofy devilish faces like sticking their tongues out,
doing bunny ears on each other.
I mean, I sent it to like a few of my friends and family and they're like, wow.
It's like you captured the hell realm.
and it was just by accident.
You know, I know people won't believe this,
but I've seen so many,
I've been through and seen so many things
that I know that there's a spiritual realm,
and I did capture the Howl realm
at the Gainesville Amtrak.
I think it was probably 20,
summer of 2022.
No, there's definitely a spiritual realm.
I'm with you on that for sure.
no matter if people don't like it or not,
there is more going on than we realize sometimes for sure.
Are there any other things that you would want to share
that you feel are connected to what happened back in the 70s
or that came about because of that?
I don't know.
I just felt like I don't mean to keep, you know,
keep repeating myself, but I just felt like my skunk ape encounter in August of 1977 put some
kind of an umbrella of protection on my life. I've had, you know, I've had problems like everybody's
had. I've had health issues and everything, but something just always snatches me out of the fire and I'm
always okay. And maybe there's different, maybe there's different factions of Bigfoot's and skunk.
apes and saskwatches, maybe, you know, maybe they're not of the, all of the same spiritual
orientation. But I just happen to think that the one that we saw, you know, in the Loxahatchie
Wildlife Refuge in 77, was a good one because I've had, I've had a lot of good experiences
because of it.
It's fascinating to think about, for sure, there could be good ones, there could be bad ones,
and there's many different ways to look at that.
But maybe one more question, Carolyn,
thank you so much for spending some time with us today.
Sure.
I'm sure, or most witnesses, you know, they have that one experience,
and then it's years and years and years,
and you're constantly replaying over in your mind.
Have you ever tried to think of what you feel a skunk ape is?
Some people are thinking they could be some undiscovered,
ape or it could be some ancestor of human or maybe something else completely. Do you have any thoughts
about what it is you may have encountered that day? Something in me tends to think that it's some
kind of human Neanderthal hybrid that cross the Bering Strait Lambridge, however many
millennia ago, you know, that's what I kind of lean towards.
It's a really good hypothesis. And I think, I think a lot of people, if you're thinking about,
you know, it's some kind of Neanderthal human cousin, just kind of makes sense it would come
over the land bridge as a lot of different things came over back then. But it's fascinating
conversation. We don't get a lot of things from Florida on the show. And I'm glad that you
reached out again to me, Carol. I know we had, I think we had talked through email maybe a year
or so ago, too, and I'm glad you reached out again. It's fascinating conversation.
Any other thoughts you had before we wrap up our time together today?
No, brother, I just want to say, I love your show. I love your content.
content, you know, keep on, keeping on. And, you know, and I wish you, I wish you health,
wealth, and success. Love your show. Thank you so much, Carol. And just to make sure,
you had mentioned you're an author, is there any, but you're also going by first name only.
Is there anything that you want to make sure people are aware of regarding your books,
or we'll just kind of cut that out and leave it at that? Well, no, you can find me, Carol
Stan Hope on S-T-A-N-H-O-P-E. I'm on Facebook and I'm also on X and I do educate the public on
child trafficking because I escaped child trafficking and then I became an activist about a little
over 20 years ago. I worked with a ladies group called Persons Against Non-State Torture.
And so, you know, you can educate yourselves, you know, about that. I'm very passionate about it.
and do support your local human trafficking shelter, either with donations or your time, because it really means a lot.
There's a big, there's a big shortage in that area.
So do support that, please.
100%.
It is a terrible thing that happens all over the world and in our country, and definitely more people need to know about it.
And they can thank you for sharing those specifically, people.
can check out and get more information about that. Thank you so much for coming on the show.
Carol, it's been a pleasure talking to you today. Yep, Godspeed, brother, love you.
How am I feeling? All right. The steroids have me a little bit amped up, actually a lot
amped up, but it is what it is. It could be worse. I have a lot of nausea, too. So,
we're just going to take some time this afternoon and see if we can chat for a bit
just had a really fun interview with an individual out from Columbia County, Oregon,
talking about a few things she experienced out in the Rainier area about 10 years ago
so that's going to be a fun episode that comes out in mid-August.
Well, let's see, the first thing, it really goes back to
I would say
there's actually a guy in the chat
Tate Hieronymus who is a Bigfoot researcher
and he
was like hey you should come out
researching with me one weekend
to an area in
Iowa and we had some stuff going on out there
I mean wood knocks
the first time you hear wood knocks and
I recorded a
zipper noise of a tent
on my audio and I didn't open up my tent
Same area.
Let's see, I've heard whoops.
I've heard, I had something walking around my tent early in the morning on two legs.
When I went out to Oregon, that's when it got really weird.
We went out to the Llamat National Forest.
We were roared and screamed at by something out in the woods about two years ago.
Really, really weird stuff out there.
Found 15, 16-inch tracks.
When you find the tracks, that really, that really, that,
really makes it real for you too because it's like we're like 30 40 miles out here um there's not
just someone out here making tracks um out in the middle of the woods it's a combination i've not
had a visual sighting yet but i've had pretty much everything that you can have besides that
hi there how are you hi can you hear me yeah just want to make sure you're coming up to share a
bigfoot experience you've had today oh definitely feel free to share what uh the
experience was. So I have this, my belief with Bigfoot is that he is a third dimension kind of guy. Like he goes thin and out. Like that's why we can't find him. And like he's kind of like a spirit. Like he comes and goes. So that's my belief. And my mom shared a story. And I live like kind of like in a family compound like where like, like,
My grandparents live here, I live here, and my parents live there.
And we're all really close.
We're on a big land, and we're near, like, bush, forests, whatever.
And my mom, like, during the day, this was during the day, like, close to the evening.
And she said that she was home alone, and we live next to a farm.
So there's cows and there's a fence and everything.
And she said she heard the fence like moving.
And she was like, oh, that's weird.
Like it's summer day and her windows are open.
And she heard a hoot, like a loud hoot.
Like, you know what Bigfoot does, like that big hoot.
And she heard it.
And she like instantly thought about.
about Bigfoot, but she's like, oh, I'm just going to like not acknowledge that. I'm just going to go about my day. And what was weird was that same evening, she, her bedroom is very high. Like her bedroom window is very high. And there was like rocks left on her bedroom window. And she instantly like came and talked to me because I'm all about Bigfoot. I'm.
I love Bigfoot, everything.
So she was just like, I seriously think I got visited by Bigfoot.
Like, have you ever had anyone come tell you stories of Bigfoot leaving gifts?
Oh my goodness.
Yeah.
I mean, all the time.
I mean, I think it actually happened to myself, to be honest.
the one time in Iowa when I had something walk around my tent the next day I get up and on the picnic table there's a plastic fork with a squirrel tail put through the times of it that's hard to explain away right but no all the time all the time you hear everything from you know sometimes crystals being left sometimes deer legs I had an individual I talked to in Maine where it was
the head of a bear, just really, really stuff that really doesn't make sense, right?
And yeah, that happens quite a bit, quite a bit.
So can I ask, and maybe not to get super specific, but did this happen in a certain region of the country?
So I'm in Ontario, Canada.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah. And I live on an island and the island is huge. It's very huge. It's big. I have so many stories of hearing of people like, you know, we live, there's like a small community or town. And then like the outskirts or like people have camps and there's so much stories that come out of it.
That's wild.
Ontario is a wild place for Bigfoot.
Have you ever heard anything around Snell Grove Lake?
Do you know that area?
No, I don't.
You should look it up.
See how big Ontario is?
I was born and raised in Ontario and there's so much of Ontario I haven't even known about or explored.
Absolutely.
Well, man, I appreciate you coming up and chatting and sharing what happened there.
And keep us in the loop if anything else happens.
to you or your relatives in the future.
Definitely.
Thank you.
Thank you.
All right, good stuff here.
Let's see.
We got.
Hey, how's it going?
Not bad.
How about yourself?
Hey, good.
First of all, Shawanda, thanks for sharing that story.
I'm in Ontario also, but I used to manage a fishing lodge in northern Quebec.
And I haven't seen one.
I'm a big believer, but I had myself and my dog.
and we went for a hike kind of across from a lodge that I was managing in the winter.
Now, keep in mind, I'm going to say this with a skeptical frame of mind.
Winter time when it's cold, trees do make sounds.
Yeah, yeah.
Sorry about something weird must have happened there.
So you were saying something about maybe trees making weird sounds or?
Yeah, so when it's minus 20 and colder, the trees do make popping sounds and things like that.
However, what I was hearing and I had my dog with me, one of the things that I have heard
throughout a lot of podcasts and Bigfoot encounters and even Les Stroud doing his current
documentary is about the silence that happens in the woods.
And it's bizarre when you're out in the woods.
Up in northern Quebec, northern Ontario, you still hear the Ravens.
You still hear the crows for a lot of the winter or even Blue Jays.
The woods went dead silent.
and I heard several distinct tree knocks.
They weren't far off,
and this part of Quebec is known for a lot of bigfoot activity.
Where I live now, I'm not far from the northern end of Algonquin,
and there's been a lot of reports around here.
So I'm a firm believer, but hearing the tree knocks,
that was something that it sent chills down my spine,
but it was my closest encounter.
And haven't seen one, but it was,
This wasn't the typical winter tree sounds.
That's wild.
Did you start to look around see if you could find other reports in that area then?
Yes, there's several for that area.
I've been researching that area and my current area quite a lot.
There's been quite a few, even in my area now, recordings of vocalizations.
And whether or not they're legit, I don't know.
Very interesting for sure.
So what is your, do you have a goal with trying to look more into the subject?
Yeah.
So I'm actually starting to do some of my own research in my area because I'm surrounded by
Crownland up here where it's basically unowned land.
And one of the latest vocalizations that I saw recording for was 20 minutes away from
my house.
So I definitely want to get it.
out there and do some research and I do a lot of solo camping because Crownland camping is completely
free in Ontario. So I am doing some of that this summer.
That is awesome. I have gotten things from Algonquin Provincial Park and I mean Sundridge and that
area. That's that's cool man yeah you'll if you ever have anything else happen you'll
have to keep us up to date but I appreciate you
you coming up and chatting about what you've experienced so far.
Absolutely.
And you mentioned Sundridge.
I'm in South River, which is 10 kilometers from Sundridge.
So I know the area.
Very good.
Well, thank you for hanging out, man.
No problem.
Hey, Buns.
How are you?
I'm good.
How are you?
Hey, doing great.
Feel free to share what your experiences were.
Well, see, I'm a Native American.
Shine Arapahoe tribes.
from Oklahoma and our reservation is at Concho
next to the arena Oklahoma.
And well, we have housing there and stuff, so I grew up there
when I was younger and they've always had stories,
there's been stories of people, my own tribal members, like feeding them,
leaving plates out for them and stuff like that.
And they don't think they're like,
or anything like that. They just leave them to them, but they see them a lot. But my counter was,
there's this old Indian school that is back there that burnt down long time ago. And you have to,
you have to walk away in the woods to get back there to where the old cement platform is at,
where the school was, and everybody goes there. If you're on the reservation, it's like a place to go.
So we went back there and there's a springs there.
It's called Cattle Springs.
And there's a bridge over it that they built.
So we were walking over it and there's like a steep hill.
And I've already been back there, you know, like 100 times and I was taking some people back there to check it out.
And I was like, y'all go ahead and go up front.
And then I'll just stay back here on the bridge and I'll wait for you guys.
So I was just standing there
And I was smoking a cigarette
Because you know
They teach us that whenever you
You feel something like a spirit or something uneasy
That tobacco
It kind of like blesses you off in protection
So I had that cigarette with me
And I was standing on that bridge
And
These trees, okay
We have cottonwoods here and they're tall
They're super, you know, super tall
and I was just standing there
and it got really, really quiet.
Like, you couldn't even hear
bugs. All the thing you could hear was
the water, the spring water.
Even the birds quit.
And all I could hear was just like the wind
or the rustling of the leaves, you know,
and branches and stuff.
And then I just started getting, I started getting hit
with little bitty, like, rocks, like pebbles.
Just, like, random, like,
I was like, just looking.
I was like, where are these, like, how's a rock falling?
Because there's no place like a mountain or nothing like that, you know, it's flat.
I was like, where's these?
And I looked up and I was looking up and I was like trying to see where, like, where this rock was falling from.
And something was throwing it so far over the trees and it was hitting me.
And it was like from a couple of directions, not just one.
and I got scared and so I called my friends and they came back
but that was the that's when I but the first time that was one instance and then we left
but and then I seen him we were at a we were having a powwow and they say they come
and listen to the music sure and we were we were inside of a building and you can't smoke in
there so you had to go outside. So we're stepping outside and we're just outside of the building and
we're smoking. And it's me and three other people and three people are like standing together and I'm on
the opposite of them just by myself. And then I have my back towards the like the woods and stuff,
like an open area. And they're like they just, they're about to light the cigarette. Then I was
looking at their face and they just put, they just like, don't move.
Don't move too fast.
Just turn around real slow and walk backwards towards us.
I was like, oh, I was like, you guys just made me really scared.
I was like, what's behind me?
What's behind me?
It was like, just calm down.
It's okay.
Just turn around.
So I turned around real slow.
And there was a big foot.
He was sitting down next to a tree, like kind of far from us, where you can't really,
you couldn't see his face because it was in dark time,
but you can see the silhouette of him.
We could see him in his eyes.
He was looking right at us.
And we didn't even know, if we walked a little bit further,
we would have walked upon him.
Like, he didn't expect us to come out there.
And we were standing there.
And we just stood there for a second because we were, like, stunned.
And we just stood there for, like, I think, like five, eight minutes,
just staring at it.
And he was just staring at us.
And we just stood there for a minute, kind of like,
We were in, like, a trance or kind of, like, stunned for a second.
Because he was, like, his eyes were red.
You could see his, like, beady eyes.
And, uh, it, I, me, me and my friends were, like, swore up and down.
It looked like he was wearing some kind of, like, cloth or something.
Like, some kind of, like, it looked like he was wearing clothes, but they got too little for him.
You know what I'm saying?
And then, like, like, you couldn't.
take them out or something, it looked like super, super small. I don't know what it was, but it looked
like he was wearing something. It was wearing something. And then we just turned, we turned around
and we went back into the, to the dance. Then we went and told my uncle, because they've been
trying to, like, trying to catch him or get pictures or, you know, trying to do anything
to try to get evidence of him. And my uncle came right back out and went to. And went to,
out there, tried to get him, try to look for him.
He went out there, try to chase him. But he was
gone. He was already gone that fast.
Okay.
I remember why I
know this area. Do you
so
since you're from the area
and first off,
thank you for sharing your account
from the powwow. I mean, it is fascinating
how those
dances seem to draw.
activity like that and I love hearing things like that.
I've also heard of there's a situation that happened that you're by the Lucky Star Casino right?
Yes.
Have you ever heard about how there was supposedly a security camera video recording of a Bigfoot that was captured?
Do you know any information about that?
They have it at Lucky Star. My tribe, they owned the casino.
Yeah, and they have that on there.
I think if I'm not mistaken, they put it on one of their, on the Facebook, Facebook pages.
I can look it up and find it because I'm a member on there on the CNA Tribe's Facebook page.
Yeah, that would be fantastic.
Yeah, I can share that to you.
Okay, yeah, yeah.
I just followed you.
If you could send me, if you take a look after this,
time later on and just send me a message. That would be great because I think it's a thing where we,
you know, not being in in that group, we wouldn't have access to it probably. So, and a lot of people
have looked for that. That would be interesting just to see if it's a real thing, you know, so.
Yeah, I've seen it. Oh, you have, you've seen the video? Yeah. Oh, wow. How would you describe it?
It looked, it looked like it.
I can say, honestly say it looked like it.
It looked, it looked abnormal, if I could say that.
It looked like it wasn't a person, like a normal person, you know.
It wasn't.
It looked, it was real.
It was real.
It looked real to me.
In your area, would you say most of the sightings happen around powwows or are there,
other sightings that happen outside of those?
Honestly, I think it is the music, you know, because it's not just powwows because we also have
Native American church, which is our sweat lodges.
We sing in those too.
And we also, and they come around there too.
When we have sweat lodgers, they come out there.
And we have them on the reservation.
We have them still there, like the sweat lodges and stuff, and they'll come out there.
Like, I thought my uncle was crazy at one point because they said he was out there feeding him every day.
Like, every day there's a place out there on the red everybody knows it.
They go out there and they set food out for him and stuff for them.
Wow.
What kind of things are they feeding them?
Like our traditional foods, like.
Like we have, you know, like meat, meat, bread, fruit, and like coffee and like a vegetable.
That's so cool.
That's really cool.
But Buns, thank you so much for coming up and sharing your experience at the Powai.
I greatly appreciate it.
Oh, no problem.
I got a couple of more and I got other people too that experience Bigfoot as well.
All right.
Well, you know, make sure you're following.
If you ever want to share those other experiences or share this with your friends there,
if they want to share, hopefully we'll see them.
Or they can send me an email, and you can send me an email at Bigfoot Society at gmail.com,
and we can always chat later that way too.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I got another story too, but I can tell it another time.
It made people scared not to come out to my house in the backyard,
because we've seen them out there too at my house I currently live at.
that they we were having a bond share now i can yeah okay yeah yeah feel free to share that and then yeah
that would be awesome appreciate it okay um my me my brother moved in with me so we were you know he's
anyway we were having a get together in the backyard so we're having a bonfire so um you know
so it was going down later on to the later in the night time so it's about to shut it down you know
So we're about to, you know, put the fire out.
So we're out there.
And we just come outside and we're about to smoke a cigarette.
And my brother's like, looking, he said, he just said, do you, do you see that?
I was like, what?
And we're at my house in the back of my house and the bonfires, you know, a few hundred, you know, in front of us.
And he's like, do you see that right there?
I said, what is that?
He's a look, been down, and we bent down, we crouched down.
like kind of, you know, crouched down.
And we were looking, looked towards the fire.
And there was two, two figures crouched down like us, kneeled down by the fire.
Oh, my goodness.
And we just came from there and me, my brother, we was looking, I was like,
we just looked at each other.
We automatically knew both in our heads that, you know, that was, that's Bigfoot.
There's somebody, there's somebody right there.
And nobody was just there.
and then they're right there.
And you, everybody knows, you know, the typical silhouette of what a, you know, what a big foot would look like.
And that's, that's what it was.
And they were crouched down like that.
It was two of them.
And then we just got so scared because it just gave us like, eerie, eerie feeling like,
we're supposed to be there and we just turned the right back around and we just came in the house
and we just sat here for a minute and didn't, you know, in case they tried to come up to the house.
trying to come up to the house or anything because they weren't that far away from my house.
That's wild.
It was so crazy.
We didn't go back out there.
We kept looking out and kept looking out, and they were still out there.
They were just around the fire.
And we were just waiting, waiting.
I was like, man, we got to go out there.
I don't know what we got to do.
We got to chase them off or something.
And then the time we go out there, I don't know if they heard us or anything like that,
but they were already gone but time we went out there.
How long do you think they were out there for?
They were at least out there for like at least maybe an hour.
Wow.
Oh, that's wild.
I bet people were not going to your place for a long time after that.
Oh, yeah, they still won't come out here at nighttime in the back.
My friends tried to come over here and they were like, hey, I don't believe you.
I don't believe you.
I said, okay, go ahead, go back there.
I let them go spend the night back there.
They didn't even last the night.
They came back and they was like, I'm never coming over here again.
I don't want to be out here.
There's something in your yard.
There's something in your backyard.
There's something out there.
Did they share what happened to him to make them leave?
They just said they were here and stuff like something was following them.
And it was, they just said they just felt like something was watching them.
Okay.
Oh, my goodness.
That's some creepy stuff.
Wow.
Oh, yeah, Bunce. We got to get you up here again someday. You are into some wild stuff out there in Concho. Thank you so much for hanging out with us. All right. Anytime, yeah. You got it. Talk to you later.
All right, bye.
There, how are you?
I'm good. How are you?
Doing well. Feel free to share your experience.
Okay, so I have always been. I'm 33 now, but since I was a kid, I've always been into conspiracies and all types of stuff.
So I've known about Bigfoot Sasquatch for years now.
But it wasn't until, I want to say like two years ago that I started really, really, really
diving into the topic of Bigfoot, Sasquatch, like the dog man, all that type of stuff.
And me personally, okay, researching this, I came to the conclusion, I am a Christian and I tend
to lean into like Bigfoot being a physical and like a spiritual being with like supernatural
powers, if that makes sense.
There's a, there's a YouTuber.
I forgot, you probably know who it is.
I forgot his name.
He died recently.
He was a Bigfoot researcher.
Oh, Scott Carpenter from Tennessee.
Yes.
So I started watching his videos during this time that I'm researching all this and I was just like, mind
going like I I realize that not only the Sasquatch but there's all types of creatures out there
that um like in the woods and stuff like that so one time we we for like the we stopped traveling
but for the past three years me my husband and my four kids were like nonstop traveling
mostly like the east coast for my husband's work going all over the place like
rural areas, city areas.
And like I said, during this time, I had been really invested in the whole Bigfoot stuff.
So I would always have that in the back of my mind.
Like Bigfoot could be anywhere at any time, right?
Well, I started kind of like, it's so crazy.
Look, listen to this.
Because Scott Carpenter also talks about how they know, like, when you're talking about them,
when you're thinking about them.
Really weird stuff.
Right.
Okay.
So I started like kind of sharing like my husband, my kids, certain things about
big food and this and that.
Well, one time we ended up staying at a property at an Airbnb, a property in Virginia that
was literally on the lake.
So it was the house and the backyard was a little bit of backyard and a big lake that you
could go kayaking and stuff.
And it was woods everywhere, everywhere, very remote.
Well, during this time, like my kids would go play outside a lot.
And I would always hear like specifically my son always, like you know how kids are.
He would always be talking about like the Sasquatch out loud, super loud outside, pretending to play with the Sasquatch games and I don't know what.
And for some reason, I told myself, like I would hear him from the inside of that.
house and I told myself like I'm not I probably need to stop talking about about
Bigfoot with the kids because I don't know why I got that feeling like it's not a good
idea for my son to be talking about Sasquatch outside I don't know why I got that
feeling it's like something told me that to stop well during these days that we
were staying at this house I actually did end up telling my son he is 10 years old
I had told him I was like hey let's let's not let's not let's not talking about
Sasquatch out loud. I don't know why, but that's, it was just something that I felt like a weird
feeling about house. And then during the same time, during these days, my husband had shared
with me that he, and my husband is a big dreamer. He had, and my husband does not care for anything.
He thinks Bigfoot is demonic. He said, he doesn't want to know anything about them. And he had
told me that he had a dream, that, a very vivid dream, that there was a Sasquatch outside in the
backyard of that house, right? So I was really creeped out. But again, nothing, nothing came out of it.
One night, we had two things happen. Well, yeah, two things happened at this house. Okay.
One day, we were, we had spent the day outside with the kids. I think my husband had been off
and we were cooking outside. They had like a little fire pit and we were making
food until it got really, really late. Mind you, this is like a really remote area. There's no street
lights. It gets really dark outside, and it's covered by the, like, surrounded by woods and the lake.
So we stay out all, like, until it gets really dark. And before we go in, we decide to have a
prayer. All of us, my whole family, outside. Mind you, it's pitch black outside, except for the
the light of the fire. So we're praying. And then everybody starts making their way inside.
Me and my son stay outside cleaning up like, you know, the plates and everything that we have left.
And my son is just like they're still and just like still. And I could just tell like he was just all
quiet. Like he didn't want to go inside. It's like it's as if he was waiting for everybody to go
inside so he could tell me something. Everybody makes their way inside and my son, like as soon as
everybody goes inside and I stay outside with my son cleaning up, my son is like, Mom, he's like,
I don't know if you're going to believe me or not, but, and I get so like, oh my gosh, I get
chill thinking about it because I know he's not lying. He said, I don't know if you're going to
believe me or not, but when we were praying, Mom, because I was praying, I was the one praying
out loud. He said, when we were praying, I looked up.
and I saw a big foot on the tree staring at you while you were praying.
And he said that the thing, yeah, he said that the thing, he said that when the big foot
noticed that my son was looking at him, he turned his head to look at my son.
And it's like he just like jumped off the tree and just like disappeared and into the woods.
And I believe my son, because my son is like, they, my kids don't, there's no way he, he,
He's going to, I know my kids.
They don't make up stuff like that.
And he was really like shaken up.
He was extremely shaking up.
He was like shaking and just like, he was scared out of his mind.
And I literally, I told him I was like, okay, well, I believed him, right?
And you know, you would think that I would go inside scared.
But because of Scott Carpenter's videos and everything that I had seen in because of our beliefs, I told myself,
I was like, okay. And I had to remember like my husband's dreams and everything. I ended up,
I was like, okay, well, we're going to go pray around the property. So this thing doesn't come back, right?
And my son was like, what do you mean? Like, I'm like, no, we're going to do it. Like, we have to do it.
So we just, we just prayed around the whole property. I literally said out loud. I was like,
you're not welcome here. You cannot come over here. And after that, I literally, I stopped like
entertaining so much the whole thing about Sasquatch and Bigfoot because it's so weird.
It was just too coincidental everything.
And that feeling that I got about, you know, my son and my kids playing Bigfoot outside,
it was just crazy.
Some wild stuff.
I think there is something to it that younger, you know, younger children have access to see things that we might not be,
readily noticing, right?
Yeah.
And just the way he described it, I asked my son, I was like, what did it look like?
And he said that it was just like the movies.
I mean, he literally said it was, there was the moon behind and the sky.
Then the tree, the Sasquatch in front of the moon, like he said that he couldn't really make out his face, but he could see like his hair.
And the color, he said that his hair was like orangey brown, like so weird.
And it was crazy that we didn't.
I didn't hear anything, but like I said, my son was super shaken up.
Well, that was the first thing that happened at that property.
Another thing happened.
Yeah, it was, I don't know, there was something, I guess because it was such in a remote area.
And you know how they say about the Sasatch and like the bodies of water and stuff like that?
Right.
One of those days we had gone kayaking, all of us around that, that lake.
And we were kayaking, we were singing worship songs, yada, yada.
Well, that night, we come back.
And that night, like, we go to bed and everything.
And I just have, like, a really eerie feeling for some reason that night.
And I just feel like there's something, like, there's like a presence.
I can't explain it.
Just like a really, like I'm being watched.
I'm trying to go to, everybody's sleeping.
I try to go to sleep.
And as soon as I fall asleep, I have a very extremely, extremely vivid.
I have a vision that I'm looking into like the dock of the property.
And under the dock, there was like a reptilian standing in the water with water up to his eyes, like just staring at the house.
It was just so weird.
There's some weird stuff going on on that property.
I don't know if I'd go back again.
Yeah, no, we're not going back.
But, yeah, so those two things happen.
Wow.
Yeah, that's as far as my big foot encounters.
Well, I appreciate you coming up.
Hopefully you've got things under control now,
but hopefully you also figure out what you're looking into as well.
So thank you for coming up, man.
Yeah, thank you.
All right, guys.
Wow, what a great group of conversations today here.
We've got a lot of people wanting to come up.
I need to go take a rest because I am fighting camp.
answer guys and I'm getting tired. If I don't paste myself, it's not going to be good. So do me a

So love you guys.
I'll see you next time.
E, good to see you.
Stay safe out there and have a good one guy.
Before we wrap this episode, I want to say something directly to a very specific group of listeners.
If you're in the military, any branch or forces, and if you've seen something that no one can explain,
or if you're a national park ranger or forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet,
if you're a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground or if you're with the FBI,
a federal agency, or working intelligence, and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed to talk about.
And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense,
if you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field or trucker with government contracts,
and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul,
and if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist, or a field researcher under contract,
who has found evidence you're not allowed to report,
if you're a pastor, a missionary, or someone on a spiritual retreat,
and you saw something that shook your faith,
or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA, or anything with clearance,
and you've seen what the public hasn't,
then I want to talk to you.
