So I played it and I heard whoops and tree knocks and all this like rustling around. Along a remote BLM road above Oregon, Salets River, Nick from Backwoods, Bigfoot played an unfamiliar song across the deep valley. Something appeared to respond from the surrounding timber. What brought him to that particular stretch of forest in the first place? I'm Jeremiah Byron and this is Bigfoot Society. All right, Bigfoot Society. you've got the privilege of talking to Nick from Backwoods, Bigfoot, out there in the great state of Oregon today. Nick has been on the show before. I'll have that episode linked in the show notes. But welcome back. Nick, how are you doing, man? I'm doing good, man. Thanks for having me. Absolutely. How are you doing? You know, we were talking a little bit before, and this is getting a little interesting.

But as the cycles of the treatment go, I get more and more tired, but I'm just having to be a little bit more, you know, just two things, a different way. And I think it's working out. But yeah, yeah, we're getting through. I'm recording just September, was this the 9th, 8th or 9th? So we're about halfway through and people will hear this Maybe a few days after that we'll see But yeah doing doing good for the most part Thank you so much for your for asking dude

Appreciate that Yeah yeah we're all thinking about you and worried about you And you know there's a lot of people that care So we're wishing you the best man Thank you thank you thank you man appreciate that. Before we get going, just in case, you know, listeners haven't heard the first one, which I really recommend that you go and listen to after this. What is Backwood's Bigfoot for the listener who has never been able to meet yet or hear about you before, Nick?

Yeah. Well, that's probably a good place to start. And since you brought it up, you guys can go check it out on YouTube or Instagram or TikTok or Facebook and it's backwoods bigfoot all one word instead of an S it's a Z so backwoods with a Z big foot all one word so I guess best way to describe it is just me going out in the woods I I guess the YouTube channel is the main focus. But it's just me going out in the woods, filming. And sometimes it's just random spots around where I live. I live on the Oregon coast, like the central coast.

So there's the coastal range mountains, and I'm in between Newport and Tillamook. And Tillamook has a lot of bigfoot action. actually you know I get reports or just talking to people in town and then I'll go go out there and film and look around but sometimes just me going out the woods pick a random day around a spot and go out and look but I've been doing it for a couple years and I wish I had more time to do it you know, like twice a week or something, but with life and family and kids and work, I work in vacation rentals, so like summer is super crazy, but it's fun and I enjoy it.

I enjoy it. I enjoy the out of the woods the most, and I actually went to one of the most prestigious I guess video production film schools in the world Portland Community College so maybe it's not prestigious but so I learned how to do a little video

and editing and graphics and stuff so that's fun so I get to put that to use and so yeah it's just me out in the woods sometimes I have people with me looking for Bigfoot basically. Which is awesome. So a few things talking about the Backwoods Bigfoot channel.

And a little bit of humor there about Portland Community College, which we probably lost to sponsor there. I'm just kidding. Yeah. But your stuff is solidly filmed and also it's just all around really good. the thing your area you mentioned you're out on the coast there's not a lot

of like unless I haven't found them but there's not a lot of people that film Bigfoot stuff out on the coast so that is that's very special as well I mean I guess maybe what's his name? Ben

do you know Ben? Yeah yeah he's actually he lives like 10 minutes away for me but he does like a lot of the bandus or cor. Yeah, his stuff is cool. I keep, we keep meaning to go out together.

So one of these days that will happen and that will be very cool. Yeah, there's not a lot. I mean, there's that group. I can't remember their name that does a lot, Telemuk stuff. I'll put it in the comments when I remember. Okay, that's solid. Do you remember what Ben's current name is?

But, yeah, there's not a lot, but what's weird is there's a lot of people and Bigfoot you know like that flash of beauty documentary with Jack who saw the

the yeah the big foot turn into a deer or the deer turned into a big foot he lives in this town Biko from Expedition Bigfoot lives in this town is this is a tiny town you know and then so it's kind of weird and Peter Byrne rest in peace live like 20 minutes north here on the coast so the coast has a lot of Bigfoot characters and history and you know like my town there's a bigfoot restaurant called Squatch Salmi that has some of the best fishing chips you ever had in your life there's bigfoot statues everywhere there's some music store called Sasquatch music something there's I mean

it's everywhere around the coast Depot Bay which is next town South has Bigfoot coffee shop with statues and yeah it's kind of weird that you also on your your Instagram

you're always every once in a while you're posting these pictures these incredible Bigfoot books you're finding out there oh yeah it's just like how in the world are you finding these books in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, I guess it's luck or something or I don't know, but right by my house, there's this huge used bookstore, Bob's books, and it's cool.

It should be in some 80s movie, you know, where just all these weird turns and books stacked to the ceiling and books on everything you ever thought of. and they get somehow some way get bigfoot books all the time donated and luckily i found them or find them um like i found a well at a thrift store right across the street i found a peter burn autograph book for two bucks sweet yeah it's weird yeah there's i guess you know Oregon probably has a lot in the northwest, just a lot of Bigfoot enthusiasts and researchers. And as time it goes on, people pass away and their books get donated or something. I don't know.

Exactly. So, and you also, I think the one that really blew me away was like you found a copy of Vance Orchard's book. Is that right? Oh, yeah. Which is like crazy to be able to find that super, super rare. And that was autographed too. Oh, my goodness. dude.

Yeah. It was like, my goodness. $25. That's a steal. Yeah. Good stuff. So,

Nick, I want, the main reason, well, there are a few reasons. The main reason I had your back on is we just need to catch up.

Second reason, though, is you were able to go to Saskatch Summerfest and this last year of 2026. And in 2025, we were able to

to hang out. And we had a good time, man. You were hanging out at the booth for a few hours. Dude, we had, dude, I don't remember. If you remember some of the conversations that we heard, we heard some, I mean, we met the guy who got backhanded by Bigfoot, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and actually he lives here in town too.

You were there, and he was like, dude, yeah, I'm going to when that got backhanded by Bigfoot, and I was like, dude, you totally did. It was wild. I'm actually going to go out with him to some point. I see him around town once in a while and he and his brother go out all the time, I guess. He's nice. He's a cool guy. Yeah, he was a nice guy.

He was good stuff. Yeah. So how was the festival this year for you, Nick? Um, Cecil was awesome, um, except the fact that you weren't there. That was not, uh, everybody was sad and not to, uh, make this about you, but I actually was think since you decided not to go. I was like, man, I don't know if I want to go because, you know, hanging out with you last time was most, you know, part of the fun and, and I got comfortable.

just hanging sitting by your tent eavesdropping on all your stories but I was like all right Jeremiah's not going like so I decided to go which I'm glad I did but just to say about about you not being able to make it that everybody was thinking about you and asking about you and you know sending their best wishes and vibes and prayers and healing and all that so it was it was really nice and um you probably would have been very humbled if you would have heard i mean i i heard it probably a hundred times not not joking so that's yeah that's hard to hear yeah but i the love was definitely yeah yeah the love was definitely there for you man and you were definitely missed

So hopefully next year we'll be back there and carry on. But so I ended up going and I had never gone. So I think you had Priscilla on recently, right? Yeah, yeah, I did. Yeah. Yeah. So for those who missed that Priscilla is the one that puts on the whole Sasquatch Summerfest in Oak Ridge.

And then she has that, what's it? called Area 58, right? Yeah, Area 58 Museum. So last year I didn't get to go to that because they're too busy putting on a festival to have that open. So I was like, I'm going to go the day before. And Priscilla, she's so nice.

She was like, yeah, just call me when you get to town. I'll run over there and open it for you. I'm like, OK. So I got there the day before. and drove by the park and as you know there was half the park was full of cyclist bicycle people right so because the year before I camped there right on the river on the limit and it was awesome because you can bring your tent and camp at this festival but with all those cyclists there they of course took my perfect spot right next to the river so I was like well and it's

It wasn't as hot as the year before, but it was still like 80s, you know. I think I'm just going to try the motel. So I got the blue wolf, I think it was called. Okay. It's the one when you first get into town on the left. Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah. Literally a blue wolf motel.

And for people that don't know, Oak Ridge is a tiny little mountain town in the cascade. mountain range um i don't even know why it's a i think there was like frontier people that got stranded there that made a town or something like that it also has a big history with the logging community oh yeah a logging from what i thought yeah yeah that's it's really a logging town yeah yeah but it's i think there's one light one grocery store you know it's a tiny town but um It has a lot of, as you know, and your listeners probably know, a lot of Bigfoot action over there. Oh, yeah. But so I get to town, get a room at the motel.

It's, you know, a mountain logging town motel. So it's got character for sure. And then I texted Priscilla, and she's like, oh, yeah, I'm out at Mazatlan eating dinner. but Don Monroe is there. You can go over there and I'm sure he would love to talk to you about Bigfoot. So I'm like, well, that's awesome. So I run over there, which is a couple blocks away, really, and go inside and lo and behold, the legendary Don Monroe is there

and M.K. Davis were there. Yeah, just hanging out. I was like, this is ridiculous, you know. And I had never met either of them. So I walked in and was like, hey, how's it going? And they're kind of like, oh, who's this guy, you know? And then Dawn was like, who are you? And I'm like, oh, I'm Nick.

You know, Priscilla said I could come by and check it out and talk to you guys. He shakes my hand and like, I think he's like 93 or something like that. He's got to be. He's far up there. Yeah. Yeah. But for those who don't know him, you should probably Google him, he's like literally Indiana Jones, you know, he's one of the last true mountain men explorer.

I don't even know how to describe him. Indiana Jones is probably the best description. Yeah, that's a great way to say. It's the same guy where I, so I recently talked to Ronnie Roseman. It's the same guy that took Ronnie Roseman out in the wilderness, and then Ronnie had the tooth infection, and Don was like, I'm going to pull it out. And he's like, no, don't do it. I believe it.

Yeah. So I go to shake his hand. He grabs my hand super tight, grabs my arm, pulls me in, and pretends, like, lifts up his knees that he's going to need. me in the in the family jewels you know and i of course went to block it but he he was literally just kind of testing me and he's testing out yeah yeah yeah seeing my reaction so that was i'll never forget that that was hilarious so um i proceeded to hang out there for probably like three hours with them because dawn was um he was one of the speakers this year

and so he he had a bunch of his photos and articles and stuff and he was making like poster board presentations for his booth while we were hanging out so he he's he's like got glue stick and he's gluing all these pictures so every time he's like see this this is what happened this is this you know no way yeah so he uh you know the love lock caves with the giant skulls. Oh, he was talking to you about going in there, probably with Moorhead, right? Yeah, and he was, so

I guess his original photos are the ones that everybody uses. I guess he's one that one of the originals that found some of the skulls or saw some of the skulls or besides

you know the way backstory about it, but but uh and you never quite know what's uh true i mean he's telling the truth but he likes to umbellish a little bit and they're incredible stories yeah yeah yeah yeah exactly hard to believe but somehow you believe them when they come from him and he's oh yeah he's literally like dressed the part i mean it was it was really neat to be there to meet him to meet him and And M.K. is, I got to hang out with him basically the whole time, too. And he is, M.K. Davis is literally a southern gentleman.

One of the nicest people you ever meet, you know. He is. 100%. Yeah. And him and Don have a nice relationship, and they've been out doing stuff. And, you know, they have a cool kind of teasing banter back and forth. Um, so that was really, really neat. And, you know, um, and Don found some paper that he wrote. And he's like, here, this is a, this is a gift for me to you.

And I'm like, will you sign it? And he licks his finger and writes an X on it. He's like, there you go. You know, just stuff like that. He ended up signing it for real, but. Dude. Oh my goodness. Yeah.

Here's my DNA. Yeah. Yeah, he's yeah, I do have with DNA. So, but he's a character and he was literally had, like Indiana Jones hat on, had a button that said crazy bastard on there. He had a booing knife that was, you know, hand sharpened from like, probably like a, I don't know, over sharpened to where it could slice anything. You know, he's literally Indiana Jones.

You just didn't have the whip, basically. So hung out with them there for hours and hours. And then Ronnie shows up, of course. Nice, nice. Yeah, so it got even better. Did when they were just talking, did they bring up any stuff about Bluff Creek when they used, because the two of them would go out of Bluff Creek a ton?

Yeah, so that was actually kind of weird. because I was like yeah they did and Don started showing me photos he's like don't don't let MK see this

you know that I'm showing you these I'm like okay he's right here dude yeah he was well MK was I think went to Dairy Queen at that time or something

oh yeah it was right next door for people yeah right next door yeah he wants some ice cream yeah so um i don't know what they were alluding to and it might be above my pay grade right i know mk spoke about it too at the at the conference um but from what i gathered because it is hard to understand don too because he kind of mumbles uh which i do you know my wife says Um, but, and this is just what I gathered, so don't quote me on it, or don't hold me to it, but that there was more going on at Bluff Creek than the official story.

Right. Yeah, that's, that's been a thing with MK for, for quite a while. Yeah. And yeah, people can get into that. There's a whole rabbit hole. Yeah. And I'd heard that before, but I never, you know, but it wouldn't surprise me. But M.K. is literally the guy for, you know, the Patterson footage.

As far as I know, you know, he's got all the breakdown of the videos and stuff. But yeah, he said basically they were alluding to that. There was more going on, more Sasquatches. more people and then I'll let anybody that wants to dive down that rabbit hole can Yeah, exactly.

There is a video clip. I don't know if you've ever seen this. It is there's on one of those Forget what channel it's on but there's all this old video that MK took over the years when going to Bluff Creek with those guys. And one clip is when

him and Don Monroe are walking around and this is years and years ago so they're younger and all of a sudden don monroe goes flying through the air 10 feet face first into the ground like something pushed him hard and they got it on the video do you know what i'm talking about yeah yeah it will make sense now because don't me about it oh he was okay yeah i never saw the video but he was telling me about i'm i was trying to to comprehend it, you know. And then, and I will say this in some of the pictures that they showed me, it literally looked like there was, like, federal agents or men in black type dudes there.

Like, it was, with weapons. I mean, they had, like, slacks in a white shirt and, like, ties. It was weird, man. I was like, yeah. maybe I don't want to know this I mean I do want to know it but should I know this you know is that when MK was away and Don's like

yeah oh geez I don't even know if I put that in here yeah he had him in his pocket like oh that's wild yeah he's like thumbing through him like holy crap dude yeah holy max yeah I mean just that just those three hours that was probably worth you traveling

all the way out there no it was it was I was like a If this is the first few hours, this is going to be incredible, you know? And then I will. Don did tell me the story that, well, I told me like four times. He likes to explore caves a lot. And he, I don't even know where it was. Might have been Montana or somewhere, because he's from Montana.

But he was with this. guy he calls him the giant but the guy's like six eight and I think he's like Norwegian or something and they're exploring this cave and Don always says

well one he won't go out with anybody that doesn't have a sharp knife so that they carry all the time and then he doesn't like to go out with dogs but I guess this guy had a dog that was super well trained so anyway they had to repel down this cliff into this cave and yeah I don't know all the details but the gist of it is the something happened in there where they the dog was alerted

and started going crazy and heard they heard sounds and stuff so they'd leave and dawn was the last one out and don one lifts up his flashlight and literally like five feet in front of him a huge Sasquatch is literally relieving itself in front of him as the the pee is coming coming down the rocks towards Don's location where he's standing oh my goodness yeah and then he ran out of there obviously dude I I've never heard that one. That is intense.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, no, he's totally Indiana Jones of the Bigfoot World. Like, there's no question about it. Yeah. Yeah. And, yeah, it was crazy. And he was, I mean, he was telling stories.

He likes to tell a story, so that's good. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He's good at too. Yeah. And he's super nice. And just, you know, the last of a dying breed. You know, he's a pioneer.

mountain man from Montana, you know. And of course, Ronnie was, Ronnie shows up, so he's telling all his stories. So it was quite the day, evening for sure. Yeah. And that's why I think it's important for people to go to events like Sasquatch Nutterfest. And there's others out there for sure. Yeah. Because a lot of, as you were saying, the last, the generation that is getting ready to unfortunately move on, those guys are not on like TikTok or like Instagram.

But if you can sit down with them at these festivals out in the middle of nowhere, Oregon, you will have conversations that you will remember for the rest of your life. And it would be totally, totally worth whatever you had to do to get there. It's awesome. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And that's why I do it. Yeah.

And like you said, actually MKate brought that up because he's, he was saying how there is a generation that is, we're losing in the Bigfoot world. He was saying that, you know, the torches need to be passed to and people need to be ready to accept it. And I think there is people that are ready, like yourself and others. but I think the generation that we are currently losing and will lose are probably

the best out of everybody, you know what I mean? It's going to be like Don Monroe, Ryan Roseman, I feel terrible saying all these names, because they're still here. Morehead. Morehead. Yeah, and what's the guy's name,

Frank that past couple. Frank Neester last year and that one hits the worst because I was able to spend just a few hours but no one really knew who he was. I mean, that's the one that hurts the worst is when no one

really knew about him. But so so that's wild. That's just you getting into town first day. Were you able to have any other fun conversations during the festival or meet anyone cool it only it only got crazier oh my goodness so and then speaking of the older generation

Joe Joe Beeler yeah he was there wow and he's doing a lot better and he signed my bigfoot highway book so i was happy with that but he was so nice and and such a gentleman too like he uh him and his wife were there and they were just super nice people so that was really cool to meet them um and someday i keep saying i'm going to go do a video on the big foot highway but just running out of time all the time um but yeah so the next day i go go back to the actual festival because that was just the night before and

kind of hung out in that same corner where we were at the year prior you know to the side of the stage and that corner had obviously had old tobe and his what's

from Olympic Strange case, thank you. Tob and Allie and. Yeah, Tobin and Allie were over there because Tobe was emceeing the thing and then Dr. Robert Alley, of course, and then M.K. And then Don Monroe had his little setup in that corner, too. Oh, and then Dr. Simeon Hine, of course.

he was over in that corner and he's he's such a nice guy too very very smart and got got some good theories so definitely look into him um so that was really cool so hanging out over there and having fun and listening to all kinds of all kinds of stories that's like you were alluding to it's the whole reason to go is to meet the people and like I don't know if this is like that at every festival but at least at this one almost everybody that goes has some kind of story or knows someone that has a story so it's literally just everybody going and swapping stories and And, you know, so it's really neat to just be there and listen. That's what I do.

I don't offer any stories unless people ask, but I just listen to all the incredible stories and meet the neat, nice people. And, you know, so it's definitely worth going. If people are thinking about it, I would definitely do it. A hundred percent. A hundred percent, dude. The type of conversations do happen to other places, But it's more like, I think it feels more prevalent at this particular festival because everyone is there with a good attitude.

At least the years I was there, I'd never had to worry about people messing around and trying to cause drama and stuff. Yeah. Everyone's got a good heart and just wanting to learn and share with each other. And the people you meet make for some really, really great. great relationships. I mean, no doubt about it. Yeah, and I feel like the Bigfoot community as a whole is divided and people are kind of cut throat

about, oh, this is mine, and I'm not telling you where this is and da-da-da-da, but at the festival, everybody's open and cool and nice, and it doesn't seem to be any animal or anything like that, you know. Yeah, I don't know. It's pretty solid. Yeah.

And I never experienced any of the negative Bigfoot community stuff, but I'm not, like, deeply immersed. You know, I have my toes in it, you know, not, I'm not waiting in it. You know what I mean? Right. Yeah. I know I get it. If you go on deep enough, you'll find it. Yeah, I'm sure.

I mean, I get crazy comments all the time. Yeah. I think they're hilarious. Oh, on YouTube, for sure. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no doubt about it. Another guy that was there, Michael Beavers. Did you meet him?

He's more a UFO guy, but. Michael's a guy I know of Michael. I've never gotten to meet him or talk to him, but I know he's really into UFOs in the area, which is interesting. Yeah, yeah. He's there, and he actually is one of the speakers. He's super nice. and

just great reference to have for UFOs though because there is as you know there's

some sort of weird crossover between the two that is yet to be explained I think oh 100%

especially in that area it's great and the whirbs everyone goodness there's some weird stuff

going on on in that town, dude. Oh, yeah. Definitely. No. There's dwarves, and people have told me there's, like, they've seen fairies in the woods, they've seen dwarves, they've seen a 12-foot salamander cross the road by Hills Street. Like a dragon.

Really weird stuff, dude. Yeah. That is really weird. I love it. background that's the fun the fun part about all this is just you know all the weirdness and strange strangeness and the weird part about it though is that it it correlates with fairy tales and stories from hundreds and hundreds of years ago you know so it's like it sounds outlandish and ridiculous but it's it's an age old story that keeps popping up

You know, I don't know. It's pretty weird, but amazing. It is amazing. So, man, so it sounds like that you had, it was definitely worth going out. You had a wild time just talking to people, meeting people. That sounds fantastic. You're going out in the woods over on the coast of Oregon, and you might be going other places as well,

but have you had any interesting things happen out there while you've been, you know, researching or filming for Backwoods, Bigfoot, that have, that really stick out in your mind? Not a lot recently. Well, there is one thing I got to tell you. So, have you heard online? It's, it's like the song of Mamuna. It's like this tribe in like South Papua New Guinea or somewhere like that. They sing this incredible, beautiful, enchanting song as they walk through the forest. You got to YouTube it and listen to it. Sometimes I just turn it on when I want to feel happy.

You know, it's really weird, beautiful song that they sing. and they're actually great singers. So I was like, this song is, so I'm gonna play this out up in the mountains, you know? So I have like a little DeWalt speaker, you know? And I went up there like kind of close to my house, but up in the mountains along the Salets River,

where there's been, I've personally talked to people that have seen them out there, because there's a Native American, good size Native American population here, and there's a couple reservations, Grand RON, it's, so I've heard probably five different stories of Sasquatch up, there in the sluts river area so i went up there um with my speaker and played this song

as loud as i could and it was like over this valley you know i was up on a cliff basically so it was like super echoly and perfect spot to play anything and i usually don't try to do like whoops and sounds and stuff because i don't know what i'm saying type thing, you know? Right. I don't, you know, what if I'm, you know, seeing the wrong thing or making fun of anybody or I don't know, just a weird feeling I get.

But I was like, I got to try this because the song is that cool. And, of course, I filmed it, but of course, the speaker was so loud that you can't pick up any of it. So I'm going to redo it but try to put the speaker one spot and then go

100 yards to the side and try to record and maybe get a shotgun mic or something hooked up so I can actually see if I can get a response that way

but it was really weird man you got to listen to that song and then you'll be like, oh yeah, that makes total sense. So you were getting responses to that song, you're saying? Yeah. Oh, man. Did this sound similar? Did the responses sound similar to anything else you'd heard?

Yeah, it was like the normal weird tree knocks, and then, like, the, you know, like on the, um, Sierra sounds, those whoop, whoop, whoop sounds. Yeah. And it was coming from more than one spot. So, yeah, that was really cool and really weird and a little spooky. So when you're out in this area, like how far out are you? So if you look at a map and you go up the Salets River, By the Slets Bay, there's, what highway is that?

Well, not Highway 101 is the, but it's 229, so that's highway. Drive, probably like, probably like 10 miles up that BLM road, give or take, to the middle of nowhere, basically. that the reason I picked that spot one is close to my house and two I have a video on YouTube but there was a guy texted me or emailed in and said that he saw one like this was probably a couple weeks ago there's a little that BLM road goes on forever but there's like a little bridge and he drove over it and he looks over at the creek and there was one just standing there,

and then he was like, went to roll down his window, and it took off into the, like slowly walked, I guess, off into the bushes. So I was like, oh, I got to go check that out. So I went down there. Oh, my goodness.

So this guy contacted you directly? Yeah, yeah. Wow, because of your YouTube channel probably? Yeah, yeah. And I'm local, I think. I think it might have been, he's supposed no it was YouTube guy he emailed me off my YouTube channel um and so I went out there course and looked and um it's like thick thick trying to get down to that

creek I got down to it but I don't know which side of the bank he was on and you know it was I couldn't find anything any clues but um It was definitely super squatchy looking area and a couple weird things did happen. One, when I went up from the creek just probably like 50 yards, all these crows and birds just started going crazy. Like I've had that happen all the time, but this was like weird, like over-exaggerated. So that was kind of spooky. And then I hear a weird, You know the missing 401 tales from Dave, how sometimes people hear like a mechanical sound? Well, I heard something just like that.

And it sounded like if you had a giant chain link fence like made into a box and you would close the lid that was chain link and bars and stuff it would make that ching that's what it sounded like and it kind of moved through the forest I didn't see anything but then I looked up and there was a white craft I think it was a plane but it was literally the exact time like a second after that sound I look up and all I can see is a white dot it could have been a playing, but it was really weird. It's all in the video, too, the birds and the sound. I had to turn the volume up.

You can kind of hear it, but yeah, I was like, this is spooky. That's why, because you're out there by yourself about 10 and 15 miles out, right? Yeah, yep. Wow. Yeah, that actually scared me. Usually I don't get scared, but that was, like, you know, scary, just the timing of it, you know. so what would that have put the approximate date or I guess specific date doesn't matter but like so when would that guy have had that sighting up there do you think um so it's probably uh three weeks ago or oh this is three weeks ago or maybe a month ago yeah it was recent oh man yeah

Wow. No way. Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. Yeah, you've got to keep going up there. Yeah, and so that's where I went up to do the sound thing, or the playing of that song, and then heard that response. So I was actually going to, because today's my day off,

So I was actually going to try to go up there today because it's super nice out. So, yeah, it's a good area. And then another cool spot, and I made a video of the area, is Munson Creek Falls. It's in Tillamook, which is probably like an hour north of where I live.

But Tillamook, as you know, has a lot of all the way from Vernonia to the coast is just stories and you've had people on your thing that have had encounters in Tillamook and that's where three of my encounters or stories come from so real quick I was I went to the Munnese Creek Falls and I went to the Kilches River and shot video and Munza Creek Falls like four or five years ago when we had

crazy fires out here a buddy me and a buddy were camping in Garibaldi or not Garibaldi but like right past Garibaldi and the fires they close the campground

because you can see fire up on the hills So we left and we went to the Munson Creek Falls and we pulled up. And so it was kind of a horrible situation because not only was there fires everywhere, the wind was just crazy. Like when we came back to our camp around, our tent was in the trees. And then so we went to Munson Creek Falls just to hang out for the night. And there was probably 50 trees knocked down so we couldn't even make it to the fall. So we just parked next to the tree that was closest to the road that we couldn't get over and just walked in there and

We heard a bunch of kind of the normal big foot what you hear when you think you're hearing a big foot is the weird tree breaking and weird whoops and all that stuff So I'm a lady, so I made a video of that that area and a lady emailed me. I don't know, I think it's on the actual video. She let the comment saying a couple of years ago she was at Monce Creek Falls and these falls, it's like you park and there's a little hike like a quarter mile to the falls, not a bad hike and you can walk right back. Well, she parked, walked, and she had a camera, a nice camera, and a tripod, and all of a sudden, in the trail, you're basically in a ravine, so there's, you can't go anywhere, you're stuck cliffs on both sides.

and she heard something up on the hill next to her and she looks over and there's a Sasquatch and it freaks her out so she grabs her camera and tripod and starts beelying it back to her car and it's following her the whole way out. Oh my goodness. And she was just freaking out. Like she said it was just the scariest thing ever.

and she was you know fight or flight so she she put her got back to her car and she could just tell that whatever it was came out of the bushes and was standing there like at the tree line just mean mugging and lurking and she was so frightened that she said she couldn't even turn around and look at it and she just threw her camera in there and got in her car and zipped out of there. That's terrible. Yeah, and you can see that it's on one of the comments. I think that video was recent, too. It's like this is the title, like the Tillamook Forest has a dark reputation or something, something like that.

Okay. So that was cool that I had some kind of. of experience there and then she did as well, you know. And then I made a Mount Hebo video. Have you had any Mount Hebo story? I want to say it's come up before, but I can't remember specifics. I would have to look at my map over on Bigfoot Societypodcast.com. Yeah.

Um, but people keep telling me, like message me or in the comments like go check out Mount Hebo because it's close to my house you know okay so I'd never been there before that's the cool thing too about here is there's so many spots and places in Oregon you know it's like you could spend a lifetime going to a new spot every day you know um so I went up to Mount Hebo super cool area and there's a video on my YouTube I didn't really see any big foot stuff, but a guy told me the reason I went up there is because one of the people said,

oh yeah, I was camping. There's a campground up there by the lake, really cool, beautiful lake, that he had one kind of approaching the campground and kind of messing with them at night. I can't remember all the details throwing rocks or something. And so I was like, yeah, I'll go. So I went up there. And I see why people are saying, go up there because it's beautiful and just super weird. Like, I don't know. It has weird vibes up there.

And you can get to a spot where you can see all the way to like Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens and everything. And it'll be a great, great spot to watch. the skies for sure and then there's like an old World War to like radar stations weird thing up there so kind of gives you that stranger things vibes up there but in the comments a guy again and I've been trying to I'm like hey man email me or call me or something but hasn't yet but he's left several comments in that video specifically

but he lives close by and he said he was close by at Mount Hebo and he said he's had them visit him many times and he's heard him talking and they slapped the house and even yeah so I'm trying to get a hold of them because I was like man I want to come see you come talk to you at least or shoot a video or something you know or tell me more so but no luck so far but those comments are in there too so you could look at that but he said he's had years and years of interactions with them over there yeah and sometimes those got man

like I try to respond to everything like that too on the channel and the YouTube channel and sometimes dude it will take I mean half a year a year easy for a person to reach out to you yeah it's intense but it's usually i mean it's always worth it but it can take a long time yeah yeah i've noticed i've tried and some people still haven't

so don't give up no i won't and hopefully he does because i'll send him to you because sounds like he has some cool things to talk about yeah i'd love to talk to him i'd love to do Yeah, sure. And then another guy, speaking of comments, I think he emailed me, because I know you like this area, Detroit Lake. This guy emailed me and said he had an encounter there, and his buddy had an encounter there in the same spot, like a couple years apart.

on you know the I don't forget the name of the actual island on Detroit Lake oh yeah yeah okay yeah he said up there on the actual island like the backside of the island PD Nob I guess is the name of

yeah it is I wonder if it's the same guy because I've interviewed a guy from the show a while back who had a pretty intense encounter on that island, same island, and it might be a different guy, which would be even better, you know. Yeah. And he said I could use, you know, use him as a reference if I go out there and make a video. But you need a boat for that island. Yeah, you do.

And that's crazy because that means there's slimming. over there because it's not that big where they're just living there only you know so that's super interesting and you know of course you hear those stories about I think up in

Canada and stuff how they're swimming through some of the islands and stuff oh yeah so that would be Detroit is weird it is the one place in Oregon

that comes to mind where I have not only gotten a lot of Bigfoot stuff, but also a lot of, like a few dog man related things in the same area, which I don't really get into that, but I just haven't really gotten that in Oregon.

And Detroit is the one area where it's like, yeah, both types of reports have come in, which is very strange. Yeah. Yeah, I don't hear any dogman and actually makes me happy because I don't want. The thought of that, you know, I'm out in the woods sometimes at night by myself.

Oh, man. That's the last thing I want to run into. Although that Wednesday guy I was telling you about earlier, he has some dog man stuff. And then I have heard some along the Columbia River Gorge, which is, Yeah. Kind of farther away. So, but yeah, that's scary. You've heard that in Detroit, man.

For sure, man. It's weird vibes when you drive through that. Because I drove through that town to go up to Frank's area. Yeah. Yeah, last year. That was the one area where I, no one really wanted to talk to me. And they were kind of like, it's like, you should leave vibes. I've never got.

I was like, okay. Well. Yeah. I don't want anything to happen, so I'll just kind of keep going. It was weird, but it's a great place. I mean, beautiful area. Beautiful area. People are probably awesome, but the ones I talked to weren't having it.

Yeah, they didn't want to have any big foot. Did you get to go to the McKenzie River side when you went there? Yeah, yeah, dude. So the way I did it was. So after Oak Ridge last year, I drove back over to Springfield, and then I took the McKinsey Highway. I stopped at Ike's Pizza. I went up over the pass, and then I was going over to, I was staying at Settle Lake. Nice.

And then, dude, this one day. and I have a documentary that talks a little bit about this. So the one day, I did this all in one day. I drove from a subtle lake up to Estaceta, went out with Frank for four hours, went to the NABC for an hour. Then I had to drive all the way back to Suttall Lake because I was staying there. So I decided to drive through the reservation. Was it Walham Springs?

Yeah, warm things, yeah. And dude, on the way back, that's when I almost drove, remember the Pryonville fire? Yeah. So I almost drove into that, and I actually almost, like, I'm pretty sure I almost died a few times because I was like almost passing out in the car as I was driving, super scary.

Learned a lot of lessons that day. But I finally made it back to subtle. And like stuff is starting to burn. And I'm like, I've got to get out of here. Yeah. And then left and then flew out from Eugene the next day. It was it was a crazy time after after Sasquatch Summerfest. That's a long loop, dude.

Yeah, it looks, it's a thing where people need to be aware of this. You look at it on like a map and you're like, oh, that's totally doable. Dude, you got to remember like elevation and it takes so long. Like, you cannot over, you can't go crazy with this stuff. Like you don't bite off more than you can chew for safety's sake. Yeah, no, I've done that with a buddy of mine. He used to be like, oh, yeah, let's go this one. Or I got a shortcut.

And we would do almost that same route. And I'm like, it's 5 a.m. You're going five miles an hour, falling asleep. We need to pull over and just nap right here, dude. Yeah, for sure. For sure. And it's just, if something does happen, there's no one out there. You know what I mean?

Like, you might have to see a car for five hours. People need to realize that's something I learned too. There's like once you hit the McKinsey Highway, and it's like, once you hit rainbow, you're like, oh, no. If anything happens to me out here, I'm done because there are. I have not seen a police officer or an emergency vehicle. And if someone comes out, like, you've got to take care of yourself. It's crazy. I've never experienced that before.

It's wild. A different world out there. But beautiful country. Yeah. Rainbow, rainbow is crazy. If you go over there in the Blue River Reservoir and Cougar Reservoir, I've had some weird stuff happen there and heard stories and that little rainbows literally. just what a motel, a store, and a pizza place, right?

Yeah, there's some weird vibes even just driving on that highway. Like, I remember I drove, you know Finn Rock? Yeah. So I drove, I was driving, and all of a sudden I got hit with like crazy weird vibes. I was going on. And I look up and it's like this huge like rock here. And I'm like, there's something weird about this area. It just freaked to me out.

Like it's a cool rock, but I was like, there's something got. to be weird about this area here yeah that whole area and and you know you ever heard of the rainbow festival where like a bunch of hippies go and live in the forest or whatever no yeah um that was like the place where the first one ever that's why it's called the rainbow festival in the the local lore is some of those people never left And they're living out there in the woods still. No way. Yeah.

And I would believe it because I've had weird experiences where you, like I saw there, either some of those people or my buddy saw, you know, they were like feral people living out there, like one of the two. Yeah, it's weird. Dude, can you imagine feral hippies, but also having encounters with some. Sasquatch out like it totally could happen Yeah Wild man

Yeah and there's hot springs up there too Where On Cougar Reservoir Where there's A lot of strange folks that go up there And Had some
