All right, Bigfoot Society. You've got the privilege of talking to Pam Hall today. Pam reached out to me after a recent episode I released about things, experiences that were had in the Port Townsend area. and Pam just sent me an email. We were able to get it scheduled pretty quick, which is great. And Pam, welcome to the show. How are you doing today? Thank you.

I'm doing well. Thank you for this opportunity. Fantastic. It's interesting how many strange things happen around the Port Townsend area. It was the exact area that the young man shared his experience. next to the WIWAM compound and the housing project next door to it. Okay, yeah, so I'm very, very interested in this. Would you mind taking us through what things were like that day,

how you got into the situation, and if you're able to share what year it was as well for context, that would be great. I've been thinking about the year. I'm originally from Ohio, moved to San Diego with my family, was intrigued with Washington, and kept taking vacations, exploring Washington and Canada for years. And when I retired, I decided to buy some property to build a home in Washington somewhere. I discovered Port Townsend, fell in love with it. was led to the property right next to WIWAM on Discovery Bay.

And I bought the property. And when I would return for visits to Washington, I would wander that area, the forest up the hill, the forests around Discovery Bay. And my first experience, which was minor, was in the forest. And I was walking and I was getting a very creepy feeling like someone was watching me. And I heard what they, I now know, is a wood knot. But I thought it was lumbering or something, lumber yard.

I didn't think anything of it. And then as I got deeper, I heard a growl. And I thought it was a bear and I needed to get the heck out of there. So I turned around and went that. And in subsequent visits to that property, I just got the creeps. And so much so that I sold my property there. and I live near it, but not there. So, yeah, that was my first experience, which is minor.

Question about that real quick. So you had, you said, and it's kind of off to the side, but you felt led to get that particular property. Can you share what that, what that was? would specifically mean? The scenery of Discovery Bay is unrivaled. There were only two properties at that time available, actually, in my price range. So that was the other issue.

Gotcha. Yeah. Makes sense. Makes sense. So we have some weird stuff happen. enough that pretty much you leave the property, buy another one, and then did stuff continue to happen even after you did that then? Well, two other times, which I don't know, are Bigfoot related, I don't know,

but there is an area that I also love near Cala Point by a stream, and I went twice and got the same creepy feeling. And I would go down by the river and I would see the water rushing and I would hear nothing. I couldn't hear the, you know, over the rocks. I would see the fish, but there was just silence. And that was enough to, I haven't been back. there. So I do feel some protection from some other source in this regard. Oh, that's interesting. So you feel that there's something that's been protecting you during these times. Is that?

Yes. And right. And if we get around to it, I can share a couple of miraculous things that happened in my life. Absolutely. Okay. Absolutely. Let's, well, and really it's up to you because sometimes things like that will still start to happen. You know, everyone's story is unique. Sometimes there's like a Bigfoot thing and then something else happens.

Do you think it would be better if we go through the Bigfoot related stuff first and then kind of talk about the other things? Okay. Yeah. So feel free to. Okay. My very first experience, which was dramatic on one of my trips to Canada, I was on Vancouver Island. And when I explore a new area, I drive, turn off on weird roads, get lost. But I've never had a frightening or dangerous experience. I'm very fortunate. But I was driving on a dirt road in Port Renfrew. And it was relatively straight. And up and I saw a T road coming across, which was a T. And beyond that was a forest.

And the forest was a little lower than the road. And there were large trees in the forest, of course. And I was almost to that intersection. And from this gully walked a big foot. And it was a sideways. to me and it turns its head and saw me and hurried to behind the tree that was just in front of me and disappeared. Well, I don't know that it disappeared, but when I had no other option but to turn at that point.

And so I turned to the left. And as I was driving away, I looked in my rear. view mirror and it wasn't there. It wasn't behind the tree. I don't know what happened, but you know, it may have hunkered down or crawled away or disappeared. I don't know. But it was, it was an experience that at the time when I saw it, I was so shocked. I wasn't frightened. I was just questioning what did I see? I had been interested in the Bigfoot phenomenon, but never, you know, had never had any experiences. So it was an awakening.

Absolutely. That would be a life-changing experience. So Pam, maybe a few questions for you about that. what would you estimate the height was of what you saw oh gosh i think it was because it was in a gully a little bit i i saw it from what i would think would be the knees up and at least at least seven feet what i saw so that's all I can say. It might have been eight and a half, nine feet tall

because I don't know how deep the gully was. So if you saw from the knees up, how close to the knees were the hands? Was it like arms just down by its side? Do you remember anything like that? Well, it was like we walk with, know, one arm going forward, one on back. And when it's, and it was walking that way with its arm swinging.

And then when it saw me, it kept its left arm down and went behind a tree. Okay. And that was going to be a follow up. So some people, you know, even say, yeah, I saw something. It actually disappeared into the tree. It sounds like what you saw was more that it. kind of disappeared into the trees, not the actual plant itself, but it just like into the foliage maybe? No, because there wasn't foliage. It was just the trunk. It was a very tall, big tree.

And so I don't know. I haven't heard that, that they disappear into the tree. But that would make more sense because when I got past the point and looked in my rear view mirror, it wasn't there. Wasn't there. Okay. That's interesting. It's just an interesting thing I've noticed over the years where, I mean, it goes, it goes all the way back to like, I think the Green Man legend of Britain. But there have been individuals that have told me, you know, it disappeared into the tree trunk. I've, myself in Oregon. saw the silhouette of something and that disappeared into the vines on a pine tree. I'm still not sure about that. So how long did you think you saw or how long did you have your sighting for when you're driving? Well, from the time I saw it to the time I turned the corner and looked in the rear view mirror, it was maybe two minutes.

Yeah. That's fantastic. you were able to see its face, right? Did you say it turned and looked at you? Do you remember anything about the face of it? It was the same color as the body. I didn't, and it seemed to have hair up the side. You know, I didn't see shiny eyes.

because it was shadowy, but or shady in the forest. I couldn't really see definition. But it looked all one color, basically, and flat, a flat face. A flat face. Okay. Interesting. Sometimes people will say, I looked kind of more like a human. It looked more like an ape or it was just something totally different.

Does it fall into any of those three categories for you from what you saw? It looked more, well, it looked like very big human, completely hair colored, hair covered. Okay. And what color did you say that hair was again? Brown, but it was dirty, you know, dirty brown, medium brown color, not really dark, not blonde, medium. Perfect. Thank you. Did you notice anything

about the muscular structure? Was it overly very muscular? Sometimes they're seen as not really muscular, but still. No, it was big. It was I think its forearm

was as big as my thigh. It was big. Interesting. No, I should say it's upper arm, not its forearm. Its upper arm was big. Got it. Did the way that the type of muscular, have you, it was,

have you seen anyone in sports or movies that comes close to the type of muscular figure you were looking at? That's hard to say because I think the. hair on it kind of occluded definition if you know what I mean. Yeah. That hair was longer than some encounters I've heard where you can really see the definition of muscles and I didn't see that. Did it feel like it was more you're looking at a male or female? Were there any indications for that?

I had the feeling it was male. Okay. I didn't see any genital or anything. And maybe it's just because it was so big, you know, I thought that. I don't know. Okay. And so how did this affect you emotionally? You're able to, two minutes is a long time when you're able to look at something.

How were you affected emotionally after this? Well, I drove out of there. I was in shock and questioning myself. And I was in the middle of nowhere on a dirt road. And I drove down that dirt road until I saw a little cabin. And I just stopped in front of it to calm down. because I questioned everything, you know. So I was, I was shocked.

By questioning everything, what were the kind of things that you were starting to question after that encounter? What else is hidden? You know, what else haven't we been told? What else am I going to see? what that I've known is wrong. Just it was kind of a brain dump of questions, you know, especially from my Christian upbringing, it didn't fit. That's really interesting to me because I get it too.

I'm also a Christian. but I think it's a could be a really interesting why do you think this doesn't fit with with our worldview you know because we think we're the pinnacle humans

and and it was a very humbling thing and as I've I took that as a milestone in my life because Since then, I've realized how powerless, how insignificant we are. You know, I live still in Port Towns in the rural area full of wildlife. And we're one of a group of creatures that are vulnerable.

And our ego is the only thing that really makes us think we're special. I don't know how to describe this. I've never talked about that before. Right, yeah. Because, okay, so when you're having this experience, then, was there something particular about the Bigfoot you're looking at that made you start to think like, oh, this is weird.

I don't feel like I'm in charge anymore. Was there something particular about what you were looking at that made you feel like that? Well, his size. But the thought that it saw me and was as surprised as I was that it wished it hadn't been seen, And then I thought, gee, what else am I missing? So, yeah. What were the certain things it was doing that made you realize that, hey, it doesn't want to really be seen? Well, the expression on its face was it looked and it's, it looks shocked and then hurried to the tree to hide.

Okay. Okay. And do you remember particularly what you saw about the face that made you realize, oh, this is, it is shocked right now? Like, what was it doing? Its eyebrows went up and its mouth opened a little bit, just like we would, you know. Right. Were you able to see teeth at all? No, I didn't see teeth. Gotcha. That is fascinating. Do you remember anything? You said that it had a flat face, right?

You had said that, I believe. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Well, I think that that was the impression. And I think it was because it was mostly hair covered. You know, if it had been shaved, it might have been different or short hair. Sorry to interrupt. You're good.

And you said that you could also. Could you also see parts of the skin of the face that weren't hair colored? I don't remember that. Okay, that's fine. That's fine. Do you remember anything about the shape of the nose at all? Particularly no. No problem, no problem.

So after this experience then, how long was it before you shared with someone what happened? No. years years and I shared with well I've had a long time friends

and I didn't know that the husband was very interested in Bigfoot and one visit with them they're from Pennsylvania he got talking about it and I just blurted out. I saw one.

And he's the first person who listened to me without laughing. My family, I won't talk to them about it and, you know, they think I'm crazy. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

That's terrible. I'm glad that that gentleman was there to listen to you, though. Yeah. He was there. My goodness. So after you have this experience, then, I mean, sometimes it can really affect people and put them on a path. They'll start looking into everything Bigfoot and trying to figure out or they'll never go into the woods again. Did it put you down any of those paths? Yes, the former. I've been to Bigfoot conferences. I know. while I've met David Politis and Ron Moorhead, Rich Germo. So I've not shied away from it, and I'm not afraid of it, but I respect it. Like not going to that stream anymore, you know, that I get the creeps in.

So, I gotcha. Wild stuff, wild stuff. sometimes after people have an experience that is really intense like the one you had, they'll start to notice strange things happening in their life as well. Do you feel like that was the case for you or did anything out of the ordinary start to happen afterwards? Nothing out of the, well, yes, out of the ordinary, but not fearful. Yeah. Is that something you'd be able to share about what happened?

Sure. This isn't Bigfoot related, though. Is that okay? I mean, as we said before, sometimes the Bigfoot phenomenon can lend itself to other things or other things can show up. So I would be interested to hear if you'd be willing to share. One, the occurrence that I don't remember, I was under two years old at this time. And but it, for me, paves a pathway that makes me feel blessed. And then the other occurrence I'll share kind of proves that.

I was born in Ohio and my father had been in the military. My uncle was in the military. My father had gone to medical school and had just graduated when I was two. And we were at my grandparents' home in, well, near Bay Village. And my uncle was coming back from service. And my mother and my aunt went to pick him up at the airport because my dad was working. My dad got home, picked me up, and we waited in the house on a porch swing for them to come home. So I'm just a year and a half or two, and he were swinging on the porch, and into the driveway comes the car.

And my dad and my uncle were just best friends. They loved each other so much, and my father was so excited to see him. and I was leaning or I was standing up on the swing. And when he saw the car come, he stood up. And the swing tipped over. And it was on a porch about five and a half or six feet off the ground. And I fell down. and I don't remember this, but several years later, my mother told me, well, they got out of the car, and I remember walking to them, and my mother picked me up and they were all, you know, and she'll play about it, you know.

And later, my mother told me. that they saw me float like a leaf to the ground. And I stood up and was perfectly fine and walked to my mother. And I, of course, don't remember it, but I just think I was protected. That's very interesting. I know. I agree. Then my life turned, you know, changed and I, they moved to San Diego, which I,

dislike California. It's hot and crowded and whatever. And I became, became interested in Washington and had the experiences. And I had had very bad asthma all my life. And when I moved up to Washington, my asthma disappeared. It is my environment, the forest, their forests, all around me. And I just was in the right place. And I bought a little home, and I'm just a week or two after I moved here.

and I'm in bed and it's dark and I'm in bed and I'm in bed and very dark, no lights on and the hallway lit up and the bedroom, the hallway ends at my bedroom door. and I turned and looked and a white figure, I couldn't see any definition, but it was just white glowing. And it walked past me, or past the doorway, and it said, truth,

love, exist where self is not and it vanished. I was just shocked. I moved that on my wall. I just, how true is that? I would never think of something like that. You know, and what a blessing. That is one of the most beautiful messages I've ever heard.

What do you think it was that you saw that day? I want to see an angel, but how do I know? Sure. So that was in Washington, and was that close to any of the Bigfoot encounters you've had? or? Yeah, everything's close. Oh, sorry, I mean, in time frame, like, did it happen like a week after? Oh, no, no.

No. Okay, okay. That is incredible. I've heard so much about Port Townsend, and there's people that say, yeah, there's a ton of Bigfoot stuff. But it's also, I mean, it all depends on what you're into because there's a lot of people that will say it's a very haunted area. there's a lot of spiritual things that happen for some reason in that area so i'm not sure what to think of it i've never been there but uh so you know did you did you would you hear of other people around town having bigfoot experiences as well would that ever come up or

well i stopped even mentioning it because everybody ridicules it nobody i've ever told except my friend in Pennsylvania has ever been brave enough to even entertain the idea that that's possible. So then I'm curious, why would you reach out to a program like this to share? Well, because it was in Port Townsend mostly and the connection between the property, that that young man knew of and the mountain that he had his experience, you know. Right. Gotcha. Gotcha.

So the encounter that you had in Port Renfro, is that the, would you think that is the main, the main Bigfoot encounter that you've had over the years? Yes, the main one, but the experience that I had at Discovery Bay was one that caused a greatest life change because I had to sell my property there, I guess that. But the most dramatic and affirming that there are such beings was in Port Renfrew. Oh, absolutely. I mean, there's no question after having something like that. I mean, I don't know. I'm sure there are people that logically explain that away.

But, I mean, if I was to have that, I don't think I could. I mean, it would be quite obvious. that they're real after a thing like that. Would you ever want to have a sighting like that again? I don't think so. If I were in a car, if I were, that wouldn't be as frightening, but walking in a forest, well, let's see, that's kind of dumb because I walk in forests all the time. So,

I don't know. I guess I hope not. But I also feel protected. And I don't know if that's arrogant or, but with the experience of my family seeing me protected from that fall,

that tells me something. Yeah, it's an interesting conversation because I know sometimes people will act, you know, in the middle of the encounter or something's happening at their house, they will use like the name of Jesus for protection. But you're saying just from the feelings that you're having, it feels like there is something that is protecting you through these situations.

I guess. But I also, I'm not afraid of dying. I'm I'm afraid of suffering on my way to dying. I don't want to suffer, but I'm not afraid of dying. So I think that's a big factor. Why are you not afraid of dying? I don't know why. I don't think the event of it, I mean, if something terrible happens and I'm hit by a car something terrible.

I don't, I don't, well, I don't know that I'm even afraid of that. I mean, hope it doesn't happen, but I'm not afraid of being dead. I don't, I don't think it's every, I don't think we're right about the afterlife completely. I don't think it's going to be a dreadful thing. No, I definitely would agree with you on that.

I mean, for me, it's not a scary thing because, well, two things. For me, it's not the end. It's really just the beginning, you know, because I have my faith in Jesus Christ. And, I mean, that's really the main thing. Also, the other thing is I've been able to. live the last five, six years with no regrets. No regrets at all.

I've been able to do what I love to do and to talk to people and I have no regrets at all. Wonderful. Yeah. I think that's a good place to be in. My goodness.

What an incredible incredible an incredible encounter. And it sounds like you're still in Washington in that area. I am. That's awesome. Yes, living without regret

is an indescribable gift. All of our mistakes that we make when we trust forgiveness, that is just what a gift. Yes. It really is. Thank you, Pam.

Hi, how are you? Good, thank you. I'm from Australia. Oh, awesome. I just came to join your panel is because like in Australia, we have like Bigfoot as well. No, yeah, yeah. You got the Yaui's. Yeah, Harryman.

Yeah. Real quick. So what, what's going on over in Australia with the Yauys? So like as an indigenous Aboriginal Australian and through, you know, our culture, we do have big foot. We have different other, you know, what could I say? they are supernatural species. I don't know what you'll just call a big foot,

like what species it is, but we call them Harry Man. And how we, how can I fight, how we interact with them is that like, they're from the forest. You get what I mean? They live in the forest where we come from. And when we interact with them, it's crazy is because like these things can come,

I don't even know how to explain it without sounding crazy. Oh, just say, just say what you're thinking. Through my experiences, I've had friends that have interacted with smaller hairy men where they've grown up and these hairy men have played with them to a certain age. You get what I mean? Because a certain age, these hairy men could actually take these children away and never bring them back. But a lot of these hairy men, they are not like how we see them with the man face. they are uglier than that and they've got jagged teeth and they yeah they they hide in trees

and they yeah they smell like mill mud when you smell mill mud i don't know if that's the same with your hairy man but the smell of mid mill mud is a sign of that they are around do you get what i mean oh absolutely yeah yeah yeah over here we usually say like ammonia is the smell that's usually reported oh true so um so um Sometimes we can be tormented when we go camping, but to show our respect in our presence, knowing that we're in their territory, they eat fish. I don't know why. They don't really eat meat, but they eat fish.

If you leave fish out for them, they don't really torment you. You get what I mean? They respect your boundaries, if that makes sense. Yeah. So yeah, they can chase you. They can scare you. But if you know how to respect their territory is by, you know, feeding them and, you know, Even if you say like, you know, hello, I'm a visitor on, you know, whatever part of, you know, place you are in the rainforest, you've just got to acknowledge.

You get what I mean? If you don't, yeah, they can possess you. They can take you, you know, but I don't know where they take you. Okay. Have you ever had any experiences yourself? Is it a thing where you put yourself out there in the rainforest? So, like, oh, trust me, like, I can feel them. You get what I mean?

They, I don't know why they haven't shown themselves. me personally but I can feel and hear and smell them you know what I mean where there are some people that have interact where they've been chased tormented you know even grew up with some of them you get what I mean but a lot of our elderly people that were grown up in you know the forest and stuff they would actually feed them you get what I mean and that's how you'd earn their respect of not you know being tormented or you know having you know your property trash by these big, well, what are they beast?

Have you heard of any situations where there are people in Austria that have them living on their property? Yes. How do those usually go? Okay. So as a little girl, we used to go up to, it's a place called Athen and Tablelands in the Dane Tree of Australia. And there was an old lady, my auntie, oh, my grandmother's cousin that lived there.

she was about 80 and when we would go on her property there was a certain time we had to go to sleep and a certain time that you get what I mean that would come so when she would feed these you know Harry men every night we had to be in bed does that make sense so we would be put to bed before she fed them but you could hear them you could hear them in you know on the roof and you know coming to feed but they never really tormented us because they had the respect of the old woman that fed them. Does that make sense? So that's how you, yeah, basically the respects. Yeah, we could hear them. I've never seen them, but I've seen photos of them sitting

in the trees where, you know, people have camp and they're scary. Really? Oh, wow. Like, if you've got a good heart and you're not scared, that's what, and that's another thing that will, they'll feed off. If they know you're scared and your vibration, they'll feed off that, you get what I mean? But if you're not, they won't torment you. That's another thing that they use. Okay, so if you go into these areas with fear, things like that, that you're going to get a bad experience is what I'm picking. Yeah, yeah, yes, basically.

But if you know that they're there and you can smell them, right? And you know how sometimes you can smell them or, you know, hear them and you fear that still? If you take that fear out and just say, okay, leave a bit of fish, you know, they won't, they won't harm you. Yeah. You can't, like, they're not meat eaters. human eaters, you know, they eat fish. Right.

Have you ever heard of any people that are able to communicate with them in any way? Not in a long time. I did go to school with these two kids that their grandparents grew them up on property and these little hairy men found friends with my friends when they were young and they grew up with hairy men from eight all the way till they were 11. and then when they got to 11, their grandparents, you know, stopped them for playing with them.

You get what I mean? Mm-hmm. Yeah, absolutely. Because I think there's a certain age that they will actually coach, you know, coach a child into the bush, and you'll never see them. I don't know what they do with them. I don't think they kill them or anything.

Yeah. That's wild. Wild, wild. It's interesting if you really look into it, how many similarities there are from, with the Australian Yowie versus. what is reported in North America is very, very interesting when you talk to some researchers. But I appreciate you coming up and sharing some things about Australia. Thank you.

Yeah, I just wanted to tell you that. But I appreciate that. Thank you. You got it. Hi there. How are you? Hey, what's going on, man? Hey, just hanging out. Well, it's an encounter. I mean, I didn't see it, but it's a very interesting story that I want to share. Man, so I was in Winter Haven, Florida. I know if you guys know where that is, but it's kind of like in the middle of the southern part of Florida. It's very swampy.

There's a lot of lakes in the area. And I remember one morning, man. It was like still dark at the outside. It had to be like around 4 o'clock in the morning. And I needed to take the dumpster to the front, you know. So going out like pitch black outside, right? And I take a few steps as I'm pulling. It's my trash bin up to the front.

And before I get to the wooden gate that I opened to take it out to the front of the house, man, I hear like, if I could describe the sound, it sounded like multiple people but one. one one entity right if you've ever like search like big foot sounds on youtube or anything like that like hearing it in real life it stopped me dead in my tracks um and i heard it for about i mean it went on for about five seconds and funny enough maybe a few blocks away there's like a uh like in a reserve armory place i've never seen any activity there but as this thing was

yelling all of a sudden you can hear like they turned on their loudspeakers and you heard like it sounded like troops in training i was in the marines so it sounded like um they're they played this audio to mask the yell or the scream of this thing and when i I mean, I stopped dead cold on my track. And I knew it was a big foot because I had investigated the neighborhood. And like, there's a lot of banyan trees. If you're not familiar with Florida, banyan trees grow really big. I mean, huge.

They're old. And a lot of times they try to cut them down because, you know, a lot of critters, creatures and stuff, you know, can inhabit them. So, man, this thing went on and then all of a sudden you hear the loudspeaker of like the troops or whatever. It was very out of place and very odd. And so fast forward in the morning to maybe like around 10 o'clock or so out from where I heard the sound originate, there's like this. It looked like a huge white dumpster truck, right? But the garbage trucks that run in our area don't run at that time and they're not white. And it came from the area that this thing that I heard it yelling from, man.

And it's strange because there had been a lot of, I want to say, forest fires or like brush fires that had been going on. And it was just weird. And as I saw this thing like the dump truck driving by, like moments later, I see two black SUVs that I identified as like government vehicles. And I made eye contact with one of the guys. And I looked at him and I pointed at him and I smiled. And he kind of looked at me and turned his head real quick

and then it kept driving, but man, that area was a hot spot, man. Later that week, I saw like they posted a recording that, oh, they found there was like a baby bear on the loose or something that they had caught. But I'm like, no, no way, man. Not at all. Wow. When did that, what was the year that happened again? Said again? What year did that happen? This was like, I want to say, 2015. You could probably look it up.

2015 in Winter Haven, Florida. I remember that even like the picture that they had on like the news clipping was like some, some look like Park Ranger, she was young, she was all smiling, like, I was like, this is like, they really played this thing up, man. But I knew exactly what was I moved away from that area a little bit after that because I just noticed a lot of

different things that you could tell like they had there were areas in the trees where they would sit you know there was like a real bushy area on I want to say it's my neighbors but they nobody really lived in that part but if you look it looked like something large had burrowed a hole between like the fence and the bushes where it can like sneak in and out and then so i followed it on my side of the gate and there were like areas where it looked like something had poked a hole to poke through the i mean the peek through it was just it was it was it was it was a lot of going on in the area man but um yeah man i mean from that day man i I knew for a fact. I knew Bigfoot was real, but from that day, I knew. And in South Florida, you know, we have our own version called the skunkake, which is probably the same thing, just a Bigfoot that is, you know,

the swamp versus the forest. But it was pretty interesting, man. That's wild. I mean, I'm looking at Winter Haven, and it's just south of an area called the Green Swamp, which is there's a lot that goes on in there. I can't cross your live stream. Awesome. I sent you a request to see if you would be willing to share what happened in Washington State. Sure. So it was me. my mother, my two children, and she had her dog. We were in Olympic Park in Washington State. We were hiking on the trails. And we happened to get off of one trail on an accident, and we started going down. And we didn't know we were off the trail because they had a bad fire there,

not, I guess, while back. So we're like maybe a mile into this trail. And then all of a sudden it was like pitch quiet. Like you just knew something was wrong. You didn't feel comfortable in the situation where we were at. And about five minutes later, this rock came from the direction behind us. It hit a tree perfectly and ricocheted off to the right. It missed everybody by a few inches and we just froze. And then we heard banging noises and I go, maybe we need to try to get out of this area. We took a couple more steps. Another rock was throwing at us. It ricocheted again off the tree. My mom picked up her puppy. We started getting out of there. we got around the corner and it was just like these animals like the raccoons where they were going up tree branches

animals were fleeing that area and then we heard like raw i think it was like a couple of branches got broken and there's this big black shadow that was you could see up behind us it was royally coming towards us um i had to pick up the kids i was trying to push us we were running through thorn bushes i mean berries everything we were trying to get out of this And I kept on looking behind to find out where it was at, what it was, you know. It was just hitting the tree, like trying to get us out of that area. And it was like it was studying us. It watched us.

It was following us where we were going. It was making sure we're out of its area. And we end up in somebody's land fit, like a field or something. And we had to walk a little bit to get back towards the main road. And then all of the time we got over the thorn bushes and the berries, We end up on some road, like a big old road. And we found out we hiked by five miles away from the park. We were that far out.

We didn't realize it. All these deer started fleeing the area. There was like maybe a hundred deer's just running like with their lives. And it was just pure science. And then you just heard like growl noise, like a real, I can't even describe what we heard. I just know our hairs took up on the back of our necks. It was so loud. We just, it was the most scary moment between me and my kids and my mom.

It was just the thing, it was huge. I mean, this thing was, I'm going to say probably about eight feet tall. It was black. And I mean, it was just coming. We didn't see no other ones. We just noticed the one that was coming down the day. So you had eyes on it. We had eyes on it.

It was just, it was, it was really scary. Yeah, it was huge. It was probably about eight feet tall. It blended in perfectly, but you can tell when it started coming. down that mountain on that little ridge where we were at, it was making it, it made its presence known that we were in the wrong spot. It's, you know, the kids were freaked out. Me and my mom, we talk about that story every day and we just, now we laugh about it in a way,

but the kids, it's just, it was stuff that I don't want to experience again. Wow. How close did it get to you, do you think? It smelled pretty bad. Your eyes were water. It was just like you'd want to gag from the smell. It was enough that you seen how tall it was by the tree. It was pretty wide.

I mean, really wide. We did find footprints, but we didn't realize that we thinking it was a bear because we didn't catch it at the time. I had pictures of all that, but I don't have that phone no more. I wish I did. You can tell, like, the tree was being beat up. The weirdest thing we found also, there was, like, these tree branches that were lean over, like, marking.

It was weird. Like, I've never seen something. You can tell it wasn't man-made. But they had, it looked like like a nest or something. The branches were all leaned over in one positions and just crossed over. It was really weird. My goodness. Yeah, we remember all that.

What year was this? I'm going to say it was probably about, or the 2000. I'm going to say 2010 maybe. Okay. The Olympics. The Olympic Park is a pretty big place. Were you more on, there's like the Lake Cushman side, there's the Fork's the Fork Side. I think the Fork Side.

I think it's in between the Cushion and Fork Side because we got off the trail and we ended in. So we didn't know where we were at. We had to ask somebody to direct us back to where we needed to go. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah. Were you up there by Lake Crescent at all? That sounds familiar. I remember we were camping there somewhere in there and we got off.

After we ate, but that's when we started hitting the trails. There's like a place you can stay, they have lunch camp there. You can sit there at the picnic tables. So we ate there and then about after we got done, we hit the trails and then just started walking. Oh, wow. Were you able to see any details about the face of it at all? I know you said you actually had eyes on it. It kind of almost, I know it was really hairy.

The eyes were not too far from each other. You know, the nose was wide. It didn't really try to attack anybody. It just basically wanted us out of the area. So it was protecting that area that we were at. We, you know, I would say it was like blackish color. About eight foot tall. He's tall.

I mean, wide and tall. His arms were really long. But I can't remember the full details of the rest of it, but I know the face had hair all around it. It made it look like a different shape of weight, how they had the hair come down. It was straggily. just really bushy.

Did you try to report this to anyone afterwards? We got home and I think a day later I was researching stuff and there was a sighting of a Bigfoot about two days before we went on that trail. Now if I would have known that, I don't think we would have went. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Or it all depends. Maybe you really would have, but yeah, some people are like, no, no thanks for me. I totally get it.

Hey man, thanks for coming up. The Lake Crescent area is wild. Two things real quick. Would you be willing to share about what you've been kind of chat about in the comments? So I know Lake Crescent is super, super active, dude. Yeah, so I grew up in the Olympic rainforest up there and, uh,

Spent my whole life hunting and foraging up there and one hunting trip we went up to Mount Snyder and Mount Bigler which is pretty close to Lake Crescent. It's like just west, southwest of the lake in that kind of area and we were up there hunting and we got our tents and everything set up our deer camp set up and through the night we kept hearing rocks tumble down the mountain and they were hitting the back of the back of the of our tents. And we assumed that maybe an elk herd was up on the ridge line, you know, moving rocks around and making rocks tumble down the hill. And so we kind of brushed it off. And the next morning we woke up early and we fan out so we don't hunt together. We hunt a spread area. So I went up this ridge line and they had clear-cutted it. I don't know, probably 75 years ago before I was up there. So there was a lot of old-growth giant cedar stumps and old-growth-dug-fur stumps. And these stumps are pretty big.

You know, they can do like five feet, six feet in diameter. And so I'm up on this ridge looking down at this tree line that's about a half mile down the tree line waiting for deer to follow the tree line out and see if I can get something to come up my way. and this is probably about 4,000 feet in elevation. And I'm looking through my scope and I see lines of stumps down, old stumps down on the tree line. And I'm looking at this one stump and it looks like a giant redwood cedar stump. It's dark lines, red cedar lines. It looks like rotting wood, you know.

It looks like a barely old growth cedar stump. And I'm looking at it and I'm like, okay, that's pretty cool. and it just was out of shape because of its darker red color. And so I'm panning, and out of the corner of my eye, I see a little movement, so I put my scope back on that stump. And that stump stood up and doubled in height and walked into the tree line. I was like, well, that was freaky. At first I thought it was a hunter that was poaching in a gilly suit.

And so I was like, well, if he's seen me, I'm afraid he'll come. up and try to assault me or something for finding a poacher. So I went down the opposite ridge line and double backed around to see if I can sneak around the other side in case I was seen. I went back to where that stump was, and there was a stump next to it, too. It was about the similar size. I'm roughly 5'6, 5'7, and when I got down to those stumps, they were as tall as I was. And so whatever it was stood up and doubled the height of those stumps,

but had that same coloration as a rotting old cedar stump. So it was red with dark browns and blacks. But you could really tell it was red. And then when I saw the width of that stump, I realized what I was looking at was over four and a half feet wide and over 10 feet tall that walked away. Oh my goodness. And ever since then, I have not hunted those.

mountains alone again. I don't blame you for sure. Man, the stuff I hear from out in that area is wild. Did you try to report that to anyone? I didn't because that area, I can't really specifically say I'll give one hint, is Roosevelt did a lot of the studies on the elk in that area. And so there's a lot of the old pins and watch towers that are up there that I don't want a bunch of people knowing where they are because I'll just demolish them and

ruin I got it oh I totally got it's the same thing down in the you talk to hunters they know because dude the Sasquash just follow the elk herds that's all there is to it you know it's just it's it's wild but it makes sense logically so growing up in this area is it a thing where you would hear a lot would you hear about Bigfoot a lot people talk about it or they'd not really talk about Well, see, my family were Norwegian and German settlers ever since the logging community really took off in the Olympic rainforest. And in my family, there's been reports. And then I was also good friends with the macaws and the Sequamish tribes.

And they have had stories for years about the men in the mountains or the tree men. or Sasquatch or skukums, skukums is what they call them. And so there's been a lot of reports, but I don't know if they've been like BFRO or anything like that. Which to, it doesn't really matter. To be fair. I'm at that point, bud. But I get it. I get it.

But even some of the tribes' drawings that they have on some of their deer skins that, you know, are back way before Chief Sells, you know, the chief they own Seattle. Way back before him, they have textiles and things that are mentioning stories about the wild men in the forest, you know, the skookum. And so that's a pretty interesting thing. That is very interesting. I mean, I've heard stuff all the way from like forks over to, what's the other lake? Lake Quinnell has a lot of stuff going on over there. Lake Crescent, Lake Cushman.

All the lakes seems to have. There was another incident. I can't remember that it's a very small lake. I think it's like Lake Lucy or something or Lucille. And it's up by Brennan, Washington. Same forest in the Olympics, but it's over by Brennan. And it dries up seasonally. And in the mud, there was footprints.

that went down like 18 inches deep in the mud. Wow. And we have some property on the backside of that mountain. I think it's called, I don't know the real name. We grew up calling it Green Mountain. Okay. Interesting. Yeah, yeah, one of those like locals always have the really cool names you're not going to find on maps for sure.

And I just know it's attached to the Dosi Wallops River. No, dude, there was a, there's a, oh man, I had a, uh, uh, TikTok go super viral about the Doza Wallops. There was a Doza Wallops encounter about a year ago. That was a pretty big one. So maybe one more question. Thank you for hanging out with me for sure. So like growing up, was there a story about the Sasquatch that every,

like you would always come up at the campfires or one that really sticks out in your memory? Well, the biggest one was when we were all kids, We were, it wasn't in the Olympics. We were up in the Cascades. All the boys of my family, we were in the Cascades. And I was probably nine years old. And that story really comes up because it was a snow hunt. And so we were hunting elk and then trying to back a Cougar, the family was.

And we were way up in the Cascades. So there was snowfall all over on the ground. And all the little creeks were frozen. They had ice layers on them. And when everybody had went out for their hunt for the day, when everybody got back, there was a stream that was by. And in the ice by our camp was massive, massive footprints. Huge ones just shattered right through this probably seven inches thick of creek ice. Wow.

And just massive prints going through it. And we chalked it up to a bear, but I've never seen a bear with prints that big. and it just, it seemed like this bear quote, unquote, would have been walking on two legs. But my grandfather was really convinced that it was a skookum or a Sasquatch. Oh, yeah, absolutely. That's so I remember, man, the first time you see a print out in the woods and you realize how big it is and that no one else is out there,

you're like, it just blows your mind. It absolutely blows your mind, man. Yeah, it's so wild. In the Olympics, a lot of the ground is so, impassable that realistically it's like 80% unexplored. Yeah, absolutely.

I heard where no human has ever seen. 100%. I heard a story in the Olympics about this guy who's a mushroom hunter. He was up there with his truck and they wanted him out of there so bad. They ended up, he

was in the back of the truck. They ended up flipping the truck. He barely got away. and then he just left the truck there. Never went back for the truck. It was crazy stuff. But man, you never know. There is this one place that I know of, and it takes quite a bit.

There's no trails to it. There's no hike trails or paths to get to it. But there's this ancient Ice Age riverbed, and the glaciers created this river channel that's within the middle of the rainforest. And when you see a dried riverbed, you think, okay, soccer ball size stones for all the rock and stuff that's dried up riverbed. But these stones, what would be a normal river stone, are the size of a three-story house. And so you could fall in these cracks in between the river and disappear.

But at the same time, if you go down and climb in there, it's literally an ancient labyrinth of giant megalithic stones that was caused by the Ice Age. and any creature could build a whole civilization in there if they wanted to go 100% yeah it could be one of those things where you go through the right

bunch of rocks and then you could even have like a whole valley in there like over in China you don't know but dude Ozark this has been an awesome conversation I really appreciate you coming up and chat dude I'm going to follow you I have one more

so much yeah go ahead to say on this is people want to say, I've hunted for years and forage for years, people want to say, well, there's no skeletal evidence. And the reason is, is badgers, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, they need calcium too. And there's only way to get in the wilderness is from bone. And that's why you don't see, that's why you see bones spread out everywhere. It's not just predators.

Squirrels need calcium, mice, rats, everything. They eat bone. That's why you don't find bone. And you can ask the same question. Well, have you ever seen? I've been in the woods my whole life and I never come across the bear skeleton. Uh-huh. Exactly.

Yeah, we're on the same page. Washington State had the biggest population of black bear in the lower 48. So I've never come across the bear skeleton. Man, it's it, yeah, it's the right explanation of why we don't find stuff, though. Yeah, you're 100% accurate. So, dude, I hope you can hang out a little bit.
