You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible.
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer.

Thank you.
Hey, Brendan.
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society.
I saw you put in the comments that you had a siting in McGrath, Minnesota.
Yeah.
Yeah, I did.
back in the
probably
78 I think
and my parents were
we had a cabin
a log cabin and they were adding onto it
and so the logs
go you know vertically
as you can imagine
and so on the new addition
we had the three sides of
the logs that were attaching to the existing structure.
And it was in the morning.
And my brother and I got up and we went to, you know, go outside.
Well, we had that, you know, the three walls up.
And they were maybe five feet up at this point.
And the first log of the structure.
structure was bigger, was a bigger diameter, so you could kind of step up on it.
And you'd step up on it and you'd kind of lift yourself to look over the top log of the wall.
And as we did that, we saw this, when I saw it, I thought it was a guy with a dead deer on his back.
like he's carrying it around his shoulders.
And it was in the fall.
And here's the weird thing is we didn't have a context for it.
We didn't, you know, we didn't know about Bigfoot.
That wasn't in our, you know, vocabulary or, you know.
And so this person, you know, I thought it was somebody stealing.
feeling someone else's deer that they just shot.
And it's running kind of towards the cabin, kind of running diagonally to how our property sits
and through the woods.
So it's kind of coming towards us.
And about, I don't know, 60 feet, maybe, I don't know, would that be 100 feet, maybe 120 feet?
I'm, you know, around this.
there's this this tree and it goes and squats behind the tree and when it squats
behind the tree it's actually right in front of us so we could see it you know
the side of it is it's squatting down behind the tree but we could see the
full side of it and it squats down and everything everything all the
was like really fluid.
It squat down and it kind of looked, was kind of looking around and it looked over and it saw us, you know, these two heads overlooking, you know, this cabin wall.
And it gets this surprised look on its face like it had been caught or something.
And when it, and so when it saw us, it had had been caught or something.
And so when it saw us, it had this surprise look, and then it jumped up and ran basically
the same direction or perpendicular to us back into the woods.
And when it did that, I don't know if you or any of your listeners have spooked a deer or
see how a deer can kind of just up and jolt.
had that kind of speed and fluidity you know a human doesn't run like that it
it was so smooth in it and it just it just was gone the way it accelerated and when
it was running it was kind of kind of how would I say this kind of kind of
kind of crouched down and it was taking its arms and I'm trying
I'm doing this. I'm trying to demonstrate how I was running. But it was like pushing the branches
in the like the little saplings and things out of its way. So it's almost like it's swimming.
And it was kind of, you know, it wasn't running like really upright. It was more kind of almost
crouched down. I don't want to say crouched. Anyway, you get the idea. But it, the thing,
one of the things that always stuck out with me is the agility and got a good look at it.
I remember, and you see, it happened so fast, and it was almost like when it took off, then we got startled.
Yeah, and so I got a good look at it from the side.
I could see like how the hair, you know, kind of like the direction, how the hair was growing,
like on the side of it's like chest in belly.
And I remember looking at it and just like this thing's covered in hair and like it was
it was just all hair.
And the color was, it wasn't black, but it was kind of this dark.
You see sometimes deer will have this or maybe even a squirrel where it would be kind of dark but kind of gray kind of frosted.
It was like that.
It kind of had hair like a bear, but it was just, you know, a little bit different shade.
not just like the jet black.
And it didn't, it looked human.
It didn't look like,
it looked like a kind of like a,
like a really weathered man or almost like a kind of like a Neanderthal,
kind of a, the eyes were kind of sunken in.
The skin was dark.
It didn't have any hair on its like face.
or cheeks or anything.
I remember seeing all like the deep, like wrinkles in its deep set eyes, wide nose.
It looked, it looked more human than a lot of depictions that you will see.
Yeah.
That is extremely interesting.
I love that time period because there's so many Bigfoot sightings in the Midwest around that time period.
Can you remind me? Was this around what time of day did this happen in again?
It was in the morning and it was fall.
And I remember it was kind of cold and we had one of these stoves that you would put,
You could put like the wood in through the top and we'd cook on it and all of that.
I remember my mom was working the stove.
And here's the other thing is it messes with your mind.
And I want to, you know, it's it, it mine ups you because it's like, did I see that?
Did that really happen?
But I know what I saw.
And it's almost like you kind of wish you hadn't in a way or that you could see it again.
Because it sticks with you.
And it kind of to think like, wow, that really happened.
They're really out there.
Like, did I really see that?
Like you second guess yourself.
And what happened was.
you know, I forgot about it.
And my brother who was living in Arizona was coming up here for his wedding ceremony.
And we're all hanging out and he brought it up.
And it was just like, I remember that.
I get kind of forgot about it.
It's not that I forgot about it, but it didn't.
I don't know.
you just, it didn't, you know, when you're a kid, you didn't know of Bigfoot or you didn't, you know, it wasn't, yeah.
Did it continue to, did that sighting continue to affect you after you had it in your life?
Or was it a thing where you saw the creature and then you kind of just went on after that?
I think, you know, obviously for some time it just kind of put it out of my mind.
And I grew up in the north woods and up on the shore lake's period.
So I spent a lot of time out in the in the woods and living, yeah, living in the woods.
But here's it, you know, here's where it gets.
It's really interesting is I had brought this up to this guy at this farmer's market.
And because he had a Bigfoot shirt on.
And I just, you know, I was feeling a little, I don't know, silly or something.
And I never met the guy before.
I'm like, hey, Bigfoot.
So anyway, what do you think?
And he's like, oh, yeah, I believe.
And like, really?
And so I tell him the story.
And he worked as like something with the forestry.
He's maybe it was just forestry.
I don't know.
I feel like he had a different title than just that.
But he knew exactly, you know, I told him where the cabin was.
He pulls it up on his map, on his phone.
I mean, this guy knows every trail, every,
you know, every backroads, he knows where my new cabin is.
I mean, intimately, this guy knows his stuff.
And he pulled up on his phone.
He says, okay, so your cabin was here.
I'm like, yeah, that's right.
And he goes, well, you know, because we had shared stories.
The reason why he believes in Bigfoot is his best friend and wife,
swear up and down on their Bigfoot siting.
and he said
the way that they're so adamant about that
he has to believe
you know because he's just like I know this guy
and all of that
and he says so he pulls up this map
right on his phone he says you saw yours
right here
my best friend in this wife
saw theirs right here
and then he proceeds to tell me
there is
there is or was I don't know
a school for
troubled youth up in this area and apparently this kid runs away from this school gets lost and this
hairy man helps him out of this area back to a road and he's found and and all three sightings
happen within a mile wow that's where i was just like okay this this is this is too much i
you know yeah oh that's that's wild how recent do you think the most recent
sighting was in that area oh god i don't know i feel like i feel like his friend and wife
i feel like there's i should know this but i don't um i get the sense like that happened
more recent than my sighting. But again, I'm just speculating on that. I don't know.
Gotcha. Well, I appreciate you coming on and sharing what you experienced and definitely makes me,
it'll make me remember McGrath, Minnesota as kind of put it on the map that's in my memory.
So I appreciate you coming up. Hey, thank you. Enjoy it.
Hey, Richie. This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. What's going on, Richie?
Hey, I just remember, you know, thinking back, a buddy and I was flying kites, and it was probably 1992, and it was early April.
And we're originally from Butler County, Pennsylvania, but now we're relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Northern Butler County, it was in a town called Shakora.
But we're in the outskirts on the farm that we grew, on the farm where I grew up on, and we were flying kites in the field, because
there's no power lines of course but the scream that we heard and growing up
there all my life it was not a bobcat and it was not it was just not some of
the animals that are indigenous to that area you know and we don't have we
have the normal wildlife the bears the white-tailed deer everything you know
that a lot of states have but it was just the sound that I heard it was
not I think what impressed me the most was the sound it wasn't literally the scream
it was the decimal in which it came from that we heard you know this thing we're
in the middle of a field mind you the tree line is probably a hundred yards
from us 150 yards in either way because we didn't want to be near the trees
because of the flying archaise or the power lines and it was
just even though we were that far from the wood line, the scream that we heard was just something
that Ronnie and I both will never forget.
Did that, hearing that, did that affect you physically at all?
Yeah, we kind of rolled in the kites and called it today.
And then went in and just kind of looked at each other, had a cigarette and a pop and just
thought what did we what did we just experience what did we just hear absolutely no did you ever hear
of anyone else in the same area experiencing similar things as well yeah down there's a
dam and it's located on route 38 in Butler County and it's called boy oh I can't
remember I exactly what it is but it's a little like spillway
that they have. One of the fishermen have said that they've heard not screaming, but more of the,
it was the huffing. It was more like a, I don't want to, because I can't remember the words
exactly, but it was more like a grunt or a huff or something like a male buck would do to say,
hey, you're in my territory or
something like that.
But he said, just the sound of it,
he knew it wasn't a deer because
it was just the decimal in which
it came across to him.
You know, and it was near dusk for him.
You know, he always did his fish
down by there by the spillway late at night,
right near the sun starts to go down,
and then you have to rail it in
because the game wardens will come by and stuff.
That is extremely interesting.
Wow, that's an area I haven't heard a lot from.
So thank you for coming up and for sharing that, Richie.
I appreciate that.
Yes, yes.
Total believer here too.
Awesome.
And I'd like to tell you that it was a total believer ever since junior high school.
When I was a junior in high school, excuse me, 11th grade, we had to do American folklore for college prep English, and we had to pick a topic.
And I chose Bigfoot, you know, and everything since then that I've read on him.
And I think, you know, I think we tend to take for granted that the indigenous people have seen or believed in him so much prior to us even coming to this land.
Absolutely, 100%.
And to ignore them is just crazy, you know.
And even when you go back to the stone pictures that are out here in, I can't remember where the hieroglyphics, I want to call them, are in the stone, Arizona, New Mexico.
I can't remember, but where there's big drawings of these large animals on these rocks.
And it just impresses me so much that to even not to believe the indigenous people and they try to educate us so much when we first come over here.
and to now to like shy away from this.
I'm getting, I just got off a 12-hour shift.
I'm a nurse and I'm very tired.
So I'm losing my train of thought.
But anyway, I think that's what really scope me
is how much the indigenous people.
And then the relevancy everywhere since then,
the cops, the army men, the regular layman person.
You know, it's just gathered who see him, or see them, I'm sorry,
between doesn't matter where you're from it's almost like a lot of the states have a
sighting of some some relevancy to a bigfoot creature oh yeah i i agree they are there's people of
all backgrounds that have had sightings and and in most of the states there have been sightings
which um which is incredible and other countries as well uh
I mean, that goes way back if you start reading the Native American legends and accounts,
goes way, way, way back, way further than what we have even in our old newspaper accounts of wild man sightings.
So Richie, thank you so much for coming up and for sharing what you heard that day.
I really appreciate it.
Absolutely. Anytime.
You got it.
Thank you.
Black Bear, hi.
Oh, hello, Black Bear.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello, Black Bear.
Hi.
Hey.
Hey.
This is Jeremiah.
I think we have a little bit of a feedback loop.
And also, do you mind if I potentially use this audio for my podcast?
Yeah.
Awesome. Are you the gentleman I've talked to before?
Yeah. Hold on a bad signal here. I think it's good now. Can you hear?
Mike, we've talked before, right, in messages?
Yeah. Oh, man. It's a pleasure to talk to you. We had some really interesting conversations about probably a year or so ago.
I want to say it's been a long time. Yeah. Yeah. I've been, I've been, I've been,
watching your podcast off and on throughout the year and uh good being going to talk to you for a while
uh hopefully maybe one time we can go bigfoot looking in uh watched in our organ sometime maybe
i'll show you some spots i only lived up there for 29 years but uh but uh
There was a time I went walking in a Shahelis National Forest in Washington.
And I had a, at that time, I had a Rottweiler for a pet.
And this guy, he would go with me on the trails.
And matter of fact, I think this was only the second time I had been in the Shahelis National Forest.
forest and partners of mine, uh, native guys, Shahelis Indians, they had all said,
when you go walking on those trails, be careful. I said when you go there, uh, when the
sun comes up and when the sun goes down. And I said, really? I said, what for? And they
were looking at me. These are like two brothers and a friend of mine. Oh, she had,
Shahela's natives that grew up there cutting wood and fishing in there and hunting in there
and they said because that's when the tall people come out and I went really and this is before
I think this was probably my third running with a with the big foot at this time and
it was probably a year from the last time I had a run in with one, where I seen one.
But I didn't know that they were in that forest until they said that.
And they were like, yeah, when you're moving around on those trails or moving through the forest,
especially those trails, they said, try not to move around in there when the sun's coming up or going down.
And I said, because that's when they move around a lot.
And I said, oh, okay.
Well, anyways, one morning, I took my dog and I was like, okay, let's go walk the trail.
And just we're walking through the forest through these trails.
They got trails all through that forest.
And I guess I don't want to really say it was fog.
It was more mist.
But it was kind of like foggy.
like but so the mist comes in and visibility starts dropping down and if you've ever been in that
forest it's thick the undergrowth is thick and bushes everywhere like five six foot high
bushes everywhere tall trees everywhere and so it starts kind of getting dark real quick when that
Mist came in and I guess it was probably around seven or eight in the morning so it wasn't too early.
And that was my thought too.
I was like, well, sun has been up for a little while.
It's not like it's just coming up.
It's been up for a little while.
So we should be good because, of course, I didn't want to run into them.
It was just me and my dog there.
So we're going down on the trail where I said,
The mist comes in, visibility starts dropping.
Everything's getting wet.
And in case you don't know, when it starts raining, your scent, you know, deteriorates in the air.
Animals can't smell you as far as they would when it's not raining.
So that's why I think this happened, that they couldn't smell us as far as they would have.
Otherwise, they would have probably took off.
But we're going down this trail, coming up over a hill.
And my dog stops.
And I already know when he stops, he's smelling something.
And I'm looking around, and I'm thinking, bear.
That's what I'm saying, because they got black bears in there or a cougar.
And I'm like, there's something around here, and he's smelling it.
I'm looking around, looking underneath.
I'm trying to look underneath the bushes to see anything.
And when I squatted down, I heard a snap, snap.
Almost like a loud firecracker, like a loud M60 firecracker going off.
But what it was was, it was a tree branch.
and the only thing I can think of it was the two males
because they're the only ones that I know of
that break tree branches
the females they don't break tree branches
they just run
this thing went snap
in one side of the trail
and then snap on the other side of the trail
and right off the back
I was like
this is a big foot
there's two big foot here
because again,
cougars don't break branches.
Bears don't break branches.
And I'm like, oh man, they're right in front of us.
And this guy, my dog, he starts whining, like crying.
And he's like, he's crying beside me.
And I said, yeah, let's get out of here.
So I turn around.
We start walking real quick.
I don't run, but I start walking as fast as I can, and he's right beside me, and he keeps looking behind me.
And I'm like, are they following us?
Are they following us?
I'm telling my dog, because he keeps looking back.
I don't want to look back.
I'm moving.
We're fast walking up this trail and down it.
And then I start hearing branches, like, I should say twigs.
Twigs breaking behind us.
Snap.
Snap.
Snap.
snap, snap.
And I'm like, oh man, these guys are following us.
And sure enough, one was to the right, one was to the left of me.
And they followed us for, I guess, maybe two and a half miles down this trail,
back to the parking area where we parked our car.
When we got about a half a mile, I guess, from the parking lot,
where we parked our car, where it started thinning out.
There was less trees, less bushes, I should say, they weren't as high.
When we got to the crest of this heel, that's when they stopped.
They stopped following us.
And I turned around, and all I could see was, now, from my experience has seen pictures,
reading books of different big foots of different areas.
There's some big foots that have like a really cone head
and some, I would say, kind of like a human head.
It's a little cone, but not as much.
But some really have a cone head.
These ones had cone heads
because I could see the top of their head
over the bushes. And these are seven foot tall bushes.
So these things, I think, were squatting down.
They were, you know, try not to be seen, but the top of their hairy heads were sticking above the bushes.
And they were brown.
They were brown color.
And I was like, oh, man, they're right there.
And I knew they were watching this.
I could feel it.
I was like, dang, I told them, I said, I'm not here to harm you.
I said, I'm leaving now.
Because up until that time, I really felt bad like something bad was going to happen.
And I was the whole time going back, I was just hoping that they weren't going to do anything.
But yeah, I felt a real bad feeling.
I guess you probably know what I'm talking about.
Like you get a bad feeling.
Like sometimes you go into a bad house or a bad area, you get a bad feeling like, man, something bad is about to have.
happened. Well, anyways, so we got back to the car, took off. I end up coming back to
next day because I was like, I'm going to leave a gift for him just to let them know that I didn't
because I was walking that trail like maybe twice a month. So I was like, yeah, I'm going to be
going back down that trail and I don't want no bad problems with these people because
they live there. I'm just visiting it.
So went back down that trail to where that first incident happened.
And sure enough, there was like five, six set of footprints.
There was two really big ones, two medium ones, and one small one.
Like they had a little kid.
And the ones in Shihala's National Force, those ones that I ran into, those ones were five-toed ones.
They all had five toes.
I think I told you before, I was around Mount St. Helens.
And those ones had four toes.
But in those ones, I was always told, stay away from those ones.
if you run into those ones yeah
you need to leave
and yeah
I got stories about that one that I was told about
if you're running a four-toed ones
but anyways
but yeah those ones were five-toed ones
and anyways I left some
some fruits some apples
some cherries for them
but
yeah
that was one run in that I had with them
out of, I don't know how many couple run-ins I've had in with them there in the Northwest before I left.
That is incredible.
Did you ever smell anything out of the ordinary when you were in those near encounters?
Yeah, yeah.
Sometimes there was about, I guess, four or five times that I was coming.
up wind of them and yeah we smelt them and one in Idaho one on Mount
right off the Snake River in Idaho one in our two off of Mount Rainier and
then one in Klamath Falls and one down by Warm Springs in Warm Springs
Oregon those ones yeah oh yeah I forgot about that one that one that you
forest. I was in the one natural forest
Watson. Yeah,
we smelt one there.
And that one, I was with a fire crew,
22 Indians.
And we all smelled that one.
Can you,
is there any way to describe
what that one smelled like
that the group of you smelled?
Is it similar to anything else that you've ever
smelled before?
No.
No.
It kind of smells. I guess
I'd say, kind of like rotten meat and skunk.
That's how I would describe it like rotten meat and a skunk.
If you ever smelt the skunk or smelled like rotten meat in the summer.
Sure.
Kind of like that.
We've talked before, and I don't want to push anything, but would you be, is it, is it,
a possibility that you might share what you've heard about the four-toed Sasquatch.
Okay, so this guy down in Oregon, and I've heard two different stories on four-toes.
Some guys up there, some Hidus Indians, they're up there by Alaska border and Canadian border, the Hidus.
and a guy told me that those ones up there that are four toes that hang around the volcanic mountains up there,
those ones that they're cannibals, they'll eat you.
And the ones in Washington, Oregon, that are four toes that hang around the volcanoes down there,
The same thing.
And that was a Warm Springs native dude that told me that he said that they had stories of four-told,
as they called tall men, sandsquatches, the bigfoots, that they would snatch up women and eat them.
Yacomans have a story about that too, what they call them.
They have a story called the Basket Woman.
but it's really a Sasquatch.
It ain't a woman, woman.
It's a Sasquatch woman that she would snatch up children that wander during berry picking season.
And she would snatch them up and put them in a berry bag and take them and eat them.
But those ones were four-toes Sasquatches.
And they're bigger too.
Oh, sorry.
How much bigger would you say?
I would say like the regular
five-toe ones are probably like
eight feet tall.
Yeah, between seven and nine
in between there.
And the four-toe ones
are like between nine
and eleven feet tall.
Like,
They're really big.
Those are the ones that even up north, they would call them the giants.
And when my people, the Muskogee's, we had stories of four-told Sasquatches at one time.
Down where we lived in Georgia.
And they, the stories we had said the same thing, that they moved north,
that they just got up when the whites came.
and it wasn't so much when they first came, but when they came, I would say, like, with repeating firearms and stuff, that they just got up left and they went up north.
And other Indians that I ran into, Sioux and Kree Indians, Blackfeet Indians, they kind of said the same thing that at one time, the four toes were around in certain areas.
they weren't everywhere, but they were around in certain areas.
As I say, clans of them.
But they just got up, moved up north.
Do you think that the four-toed Sasquatch could perhaps be related to how we have accounts of people that randomly become missing or missing 401 type things?
Oh, yeah.
Oh yeah.
And I'm not saying all five-toes
Sasquatches will not eat you on.
I'm saying
from my understanding
is the five-to-ones
are a bit smarter than the four-to-ones.
I thought about this over the years
from all the stuff that I heard and read
and I honestly believe
because every tribe has stories of Sasquatches still in women.
And some of them have stories of women having children with Sasquatches.
And even tribes kicking them out.
Like they came back pregnant and had half Sasquatch, half human children.
And these people were very moody people and very strong.
and the tribes would kick them out.
And I think this is just my thought on it,
that the five-to-ones are the crosses,
or crosses over hundreds of years
of them snatching up people.
And I mean women.
That's what I think.
And I think the four-to-ones
are like the original ones.
The ones that ain't crossed.
they ain't got no cross in them.
That's my thinking of it
because, yeah, from my understanding,
the four-to-ones,
they're not reasonable.
They're not reasonable.
They're not ones that you're going to be.
They're not going to, you're not going to befriend them.
If they're taking anything from you,
it's only to lead you in.
It's only to trust.
you it ain't it ain't like hey I'm taking this apple we're buddies now no I get it do
you are there accounts that you've heard where they tried to lure people in the
woods by saying their names or using certain sounds or anything like that
mimicking yeah yeah yeah yeah they'll mimic anything
They don't have a cell phone.
They don't have cable.
They got nothing else to do but sit in the woods and copy animals.
They whistle.
They can talk.
I'm not saying they'll hold a conversation with you.
I'm saying they'll mimic you.
So if you're calling someone's name or you're calling your animal,
your horse sue to come in to eat,
then they'll mimic.
that just like a mockingbird they'll mimic it and they're not stupid especially like I've
heard stories of people in Oklahoma the natives there they would have pigs and
they let them run around out in the fields and in the woods and then they'd be
like sue sue so call them back in for the night and then they'd be
be like a Sasquatch out there and he'll call them because they'll snatch one up and eat it.
Wow.
And so, yeah, they'll call their pigs over there so they can snatch one up and take it home and everybody eats.
Do you have any specific accounts of a Sasquatch taking,
an actual human into the woods.
I know there's been multiple accounts over the years
where a Sasquash or Bigfoot has taken someone
in a sleeping bag maybe like Albert Osman.
But is there, are there any accounts that you can remember
that you've heard yourself?
That you feel
comfortable saying I don't want to push anything if you don't feel comfortable
that's okay there's a so there's a story that happened a few years well I
got say a few years ago now it's probably been 15 20 years ago now but uh this
happened off the Appalachian Trail this dude told me this story not totally
believe him he was a Cherokee guy that I worked with
and we were out in the woods and told you I used to force firefight that's how
it got around all these national parks so long and we sleep in the woods and
again this is long before we had cell phones and all that so we just sit around
the campfire and tell stories well so this Jericho guy from North Carolina
and he worked for the Forest Service too part-time but also huge
was a track or two for search and rescue.
And I mean, this guy, he was amazing.
He could tell you how old tracks were of almost any animal.
And even tell you if there was a male or female, wolves, coyotes, bears.
Yeah, he was amazing.
But anyways, so there was a girl.
And I believe it was in Kentucky.
It might have been in Tennessee.
But anyways, so this little girl, I don't know, probably like seven or nine, something like that.
A little bit more than a toddler.
But she got lost.
She wandered off the trail.
Her parents were hiking.
Something happened.
And they turn around.
She ain't there no more.
And they went looking.
couldn't find her.
Told the Force Ranger, he ran up there
and called in some buddies of his.
They couldn't find them. So now
it's a real search now.
So they call him search and rescue.
They call this guy up
because he's
known as a man tracker.
So
he goes in there
with this
search rescue team.
They're looking for this girl in the woods.
This goes on.
for like two days
and he follows the tracks
all the way to this
creek
and they disappear
and he's like
she must have went in the water
so now they're searching along this creek bed
along the creek bed
they find some
big foot tracks
and
of course
they don't think nothing of it
other than this is weird
and so they move on because
they don't care about that
they're not looking for that they're looking for a little girl
but him
he tells me
he's like right up the back
I start thinking that Bigfoot got her
and
so
he starts telling these people
I'm going to go and follow
this trail
and they're like, okay, we're going to keep searching along this creek.
He goes up over this heel following this big foot trail.
He gets to the top of the heel and there's a stump.
And there on that stump is sitting that little girl.
And he comes up on her and he says, are you all right?
does the normal check procedure, ask her name and all this.
Pulls up the radio, radios that in. Hey, I found her.
Nick, he walks her back down to where those other people were along the creek.
As he's walking her down, he asked her, he said, it's been two days.
Are you hungry?
And she says, no.
And he goes, you're not cold?
And she goes, no.
And he goes, and this was like towards fall.
Then he told me, he said it was fall.
He said, so it was kind of cold up in the mountains of night.
And he says, you're not cold.
You wasn't cold?
And she goes, no.
And he's looking at it and he goes, well, how did you get up there?
and she said
the bear woman
the bear woman
fed me
and he says
what
and she says
the bear woman
she fed me
berries
and mushrooms
and so I wasn't hungry
and he said
wouldn't she look like
and she said
like a bear
but only she walked
on all tubes
and he said, wow, he brought her back.
She gave the same statement to the rescue people,
to the Forest Service people.
But in the news, all I said was Search and Rescue Founder.
This was never published.
That's incredible.
Oh, man.
Black Bear.
Thank you for sharing this.
information. I mean, I never thought that I'd actually be able to talk to you. So I'm just
extremely thankful that you were able to come on tonight. Thank you. Thanks for having me.
You got this, sir. Hey, Corbyn, this is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. How's it going, Corbyn?
Not too bad. How are you doing tonight? Doing great. It looks like you've had some interesting
things happen out in Oregon. Yeah, yeah, well, I mean, Oregon's a hotbed, as you know.
know. So, yeah, I know now. But my, well, my great grandpa lives in John Day. And so there was a
real good elk hunting spot about 40, 45 miles outside of John Day. And I don't think there
was a night that we didn't go without hearing screams or knocks or anything like that.
I'll tell you this, I haven't been there in 10 years. And I don't know a single person that goes
up there anymore. They found four different Native American burial sites up there. And there's been
sightings of supposed Skin Walker and Windigo and all that kind of stuff up there. But mainly
Bigfoot. If you go to John Day at all, you could probably go in and ask. I believe the place is
called Coyote Flats. And I guarantee just about everybody that's been up there,
some sort of sighting or a story or something like that.
So is that a Coyote Flats?
What is that exactly?
Well, it used to be from my understanding anyways, this was again, you know, 10, 12 years ago now.
My great grandpa said that there used to be a tribe that lived out there.
and it's just basically used as a hunting spot now.
It's a big canyon that kind of feeds into a long valley
and not really down in the valley.
You can go down there and find arrowheads
and all that kind of stuff all the time.
But up in that canyon, we've had,
we've only had one for sure siding.
My grandpa, who actually never believed in Bigfoot until he saw it.
He had a sighting and he said it scared him so bad.
He'll never go out there again.
And, I mean, he grew up in the woods.
So, yeah, from his story, he was sitting up on the canyon and there was a little slope right in front of them that you could walk down into the canyon where there wasn't canyon walls and stuff.
And he was sitting out there and he had his rifle on his lap and was just listening.
and calling deer and stuff.
And out of nowhere, this dough comes running by him,
you know, tail high up in the air, huffing and puffing,
and just sprint right by him.
He said he could reach out and touch her if he wanted to.
And then not too long, a buck comes by.
And about 30 seconds after that buck comes by,
doing the same thing, tail in the air,
and head down, huff and sprinting as fast as possible.
Didn't even care he was there.
he heard a said he was a scream that sounded like a woman just got stabbed and he uh he said he's
never been more scared in his life than he was there and uh for for reference he fought in
Vietnam so you know there's there's a lot that he could have been freaked out by but he said
he got up and he started walking back and he heard something following him all the way out and
And by the time he got up to his four-wheeler, which he said was about a half a mile,
you know, three-fourths of a mile off to where he was sitting at, he felt like he was being
watched.
So he turned around and just sat on his four-wheeler after he turned it on and kind of was
looking through his scope.
And said he still wasn't sure if he was hallucinating or if he was so freaked out that he's,
you know, was just trying to see where it was just kind of seeing stuff.
but he said he saw about an eight to nine foot gorilla looking thing that was just standing right beside a tree and had its head poked out looking at him.
And he put his four-wheeler on high and took off.
And he said he'll never go out there again.
So that's the only sighting we had of them.
But my personal experience, we were sitting out right after we got back from doing a hunting trip for the day.
Sitting out by the fire and same thing.
Right up towards that area where that canyon's at where my grandpa had his sighting.
We heard this, God, God-awful scream.
It still makes me tear up and, you know, get goosebumps and all that.
It sounded like a woman getting murdered exactly what it was that, you know, my grandpa said.
And this was before my grandpa had as his encounter.
And, of course, you know, he didn't believe at the time.
So he was like, ah, it's a cougar, it's a cougar.
You know, I've heard him do that before.
It's a cougar.
And everybody was just kind of looking at him and like, no, that's not a cougar.
That's too big.
You know, you can tell the difference between a cougar and something a lot bigger.
And, well, my whole family went out there for about five to ten years for hunting.
And not a single one of them has went back since my grandpa had that experience.
they're just too damn freaked out and everybody in John Day I bet would say the same that's been up to that area
wow I don't I don't fault your you're him for not going up there again it's nothing I haven't
experienced that yet but I've experienced the screams myself and dude it gets you
It does, yeah. I mean, like I said in my comment, you won't be the same as when you walked in there when you come out of there.
There's something about it that, you know, I don't know much about it and I can't say I'm an expert on it, but something about the, something about those native burial sites.
I feel, you know, I think everybody has said that it feels like it's strongly connected to that.
So especially with, you know, people saying they're seeing skin.
walkers out there and you know have heard voices of people that they people that are loved ones to
them in the middle of the woods you know and they're the only ones out there sitting in their tents
and you know so um people don't go up there anymore they used to all the time and i don't know
why just recently it's turned into a hotbed but yeah maybe just too many people got up there
and disturbed the peace you know absolutely well corvin i'm so glad that that that i'm so glad that
you were able to come up and to share what your family and relatives have experienced in that
area and it makes me be aware of another area. So thank you.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah. No, what's your, what's your podcast? I'd love to give it a listen.
Yeah, totally. So my podcast name is Bigfoot Society and I talk to people about their
Bigfoot encounters. So if you go and search for Bigfoot Society on YouTube or any major podcast
platforms, I come out with multiple episodes per week where I'm talking to people about what they've
experienced and it's stuff all over the board. So definitely check it out. Sweet. Well, I'll definitely
go give it a look. I've followed you on TikTok for a while now and yeah, I'd love to hear more about
it and more people because like I said, after that experience, I never really looked into it.
But recently I've just wanted to know more about what happens. So absolutely. Yeah. Well, thanks for
chat and Corbyn. Absolutely. I appreciate the opportunity to do it. You got it. If you've had a
Bigfoot encounter of your own, I would love to hear from you. You can send me an email with your
encounter at Bigfoot Society at gmail.com. I've come out with a free report about the top 10
bigfoot hotspots. You can go over to bit.ly forward slash BFS report. I'm Jeremiah Byron.
Thanks for listening to Bigfoot Society and I'll see you in the woods.
Thank you.
