2024 this individual reached out to me through email to report that he had had a bigfoot
sighting in new jersey just an hour before the following is
the recording of the follow-up with the witness.
Hello, Matt.
Hello.
Hey, Jeremy.
What's going on?
Not much, dude.
Thanks for reaching out.
Just here where I do have recording going, but we can always cut stuff out later if we need to.
Usually I have a whole deal at the beginning, but let's just get into it.
So you had reached out to me about there was something that happened just a few hours that you were involved with out there in New Jersey, correct?
Correct.
Do you mind sharing what you experienced today?
No, not at all.
I didn't see its face.
It didn't roar at me.
There was only one.
It was very, I just walked up on it and it sprinted away, just like a deer would, just a scared
animal would.
There was no confrontation or anything.
Before it even saw my face, it sprinted into the brush.
And the brush is so thick that you can literally walk 20 feet laid in.
down and nobody would see you in the pine barons in New Jersey. Yeah, it just ran away. My dog caught
it first. She was only like 30 yards ahead of me. And I thought it was a deer. I was 100% sure it was a
deer because I see deer all the time. But when it ran away, it was black. Its head was black
and it was taller than me. So then that made me realize that I was like, oh, that's a black deer
that's taller than me. And then it started running. Like the way it was running, it jumped up
and it like took a look back and I was like, that looks like a deer, but it was so tall and it was black.
And then it stopped in the woods like, I want to say 40 yards away.
And it just didn't make any noise.
So I stood there and I was silent for a couple minutes, waiting for it to do anything.
And so I started walking up a little bit up the trail because it was a little bit of a hill.
And then about four minutes later, I'm still dead silent.
I hear it walking in the brush further away.
It's walking further away for me.
And I just waited there for a few minutes.
And then I looked around and I was like, wow, this is, if this was a, if Bigfoot would be in the
Pine Barrens in this area, this is the perfect spot. It couldn't have been any more perfect for them.
It was like on a half a mile square of just high ground and the woods are pretty much flat beside
this. And there was only a tiny little trail going through it that you could tell it wasn't really
anybody going on. There's no dirt bike tracks or people or footprints. There's a meadow right down.
the hill that was covered in, what are they called?
I forget what they're called.
The tall, oh my gosh, like the tall weed things.
I can't remember the name, Cattails.
And yeah, I was like, wow, this is the perfect spot if they were here.
And so I think I'm going to go back maybe tomorrow at night.
I want to go at night and just see what the deal is and maybe bring a little bit of fruit
and leave it for them.
There was one other thing.
When I was walking out, I was in the middle of the sand field.
There's sand mines everywhere.
And I was in the middle of the sand field.
Not in the middle, but probably about, I'm pretty good with distances, estimations,
because I work with boats and I play football, so like yardage.
And it was probably about 40 yards away from the trees.
And it was right on the trail that I walked before.
And it was in the middle of a big open area.
And there was two pine cones attached to a couple of pine needles that you can.
can only really get from high up in the tree. So it looked like it just blew off the tree. But I picked it up and it was
perfect. It was like it was so perfect. It wasn't, it was fresh. And it was like it was just laid there for me. I
threw it in the air like three times as high as I could because it was a kind of a windy day. And it just came
straight down. So it couldn't have blown off the trees as my point. There was no possible way.
So I was like, that's weird. I don't know if it was anything. And the ground was too hard for
footprints. It was just stones on the stones on a hard sand, so I couldn't see any footprints. But yeah,
that was about it. That's awesome, though. Do you mind if I ask you some questions about the whole
why were you out in the area to begin with? Every, not every day, but I'd say every other day,
I just go out in the pine barrens with my dog, walk about five miles. I explore like these abandoned
and not abandoned sand mines where it's just these sand companies dig huge lakes and then they
drain them. And sometimes they're not drained. And they're like crystal clear blue water. It's weird.
There's some chemical in it, but you can swim in it and there's fish and stuff. So I just go explore
them. The abandoned ones are cool because there's these huge like machinery and towers where they
silt the sand, so I climb up them. I look around with all the old equipment. I like to go into
the like empty lakes because they're like 100 feet deep and they hit rock at the bottom. There's all
these different types of rock. It's just something to do because I work from home and I'll go crazy
if I'm at home all day.
So once I'm done working, I'm like, all right, let's go, let's go in the woods.
And the pine barons is a million acres.
So I've been to so many different, I've walked hundreds of miles through it.
And there's so many different places you can go.
So I just use it as a escape.
Pine barons, a million acres.
It is massive.
Was it by any certain part of it or just a random area?
I can tell you the town.
It's in a lacy township.
Got it.
I parked at the end of that road and I took the trail and then I went in directions.
And then I walked into the sand mine and then I went to see.
I basically just went south of the sand mine, like almost directly south where there's,
you could see the meadow.
If you're looking at it from the map, you just look south of the huge sandmine and you see a big open area
and there's a little meadow with a tiny little pond.
And then the elevation area is just, is at the northern tip of that meadow where I was.
and that whole square basically it's really dense there could have been hundreds of them in those woods
you could not see through the woods you never can in some parts yeah it's just trees and there's no brush
and sometimes the brush is low but in a lot a ton of areas the brush is five feet tall it's literally
like walking to a brick wall there's so many thorns and devils club and other bushes and little
trees and it's like impenetrable literally so they could
And there's hills, tiny little hills that you can hide behind.
You can only see 30 feet, probably like 40, 40 feet into it.
Yeah, it's perfect for them.
I usually see good spots.
And I'm like, this would be a good spot.
But this was the best spot I've ever seen.
So this is south of Lacey Township in that wooded area down there?
Exactly.
Okay, got it.
I'm looking at OnX right now.
So I have a better view of it of what you got going on there.
Yeah.
Okay.
There is a lot of the wooded area in that for sure.
You mentioned you do listen to the podcast.
Is it something where you regularly go out looking for Bigfoot ever, or this is just a random thing?
I'm not looking for them, but I am looking for them when I'm in the woods.
I want to see something.
I know I'm not going to see one, like a creature, but I do look for that one footprint that I might find because I'm looking at the trail.
There's snakes and animals and stuff all over the trail, so I'm looking down.
I'm just looking for like anomalies, anything that's out of the ordinary, not specifically for Sasquatch, just for anything.
But I would love to see when I just never have my hopes up because I know that it's so rare to actually happen.
Absolutely.
No, it's definitely rare.
Do you know if there's been other sightings in this particular area where you had the siding in?
I was actually going to search that up.
I know there's some in the Pine Barrens, which if it's in the Pine Barrens is not too far from where I was.
But I was try to search this when I was in the woods, actually.
Forked River Bigfoot.
Yeah, there's definitely some.
There was a big foot siding at Turner's Mill.
I'm just looking through.
Yeah, I'm sure there was one.
I just don't actually see it.
But there's like a, there's really a T-shirt?
Yeah, there's a T-shirt that says,
respect the locals, and it has a picture of Sasquatch on it and says Forkin River.
So I'm sure somebody's seen one in there.
Exactly in order to make that shirt.
So let's talk about the siting in general.
So it sounds like, for the most part, you had a back view of it.
Yeah, backside, but mainly back.
So you were able to see the full creature from the back then?
Now, it was just the top of its head for the most part, and it was much taller than me.
And the weird thing about it was also is that my dog is like the queen of chasing deer.
Like she will chase deer till she dies.
It's like her favorite thing to do.
And she walked right on it, and she didn't step foot off the trail, which was so weird.
And she stepped back.
She was not going in the woods.
So I was like, okay, that's weird too.
But I was still trying to convince myself that it was a deer.
But then I was like, then it started walking like after a few minutes when I was listening to it.
And I was like, that sounds like two legs.
And it was too tall and it was too black.
Because my first thought was that's a black deer.
And I was like that.
But then it was like first it's a definitely deer.
Then it's a black deer.
Then it's a really tall black deer.
And then the way it was moving, it was fast.
and it was tall.
And I was like,
that can't be a deer.
And my dog didn't chase it.
And I'm like,
it's just,
it's so not,
I run up on deer all the time.
And I was like,
that must have been the tallest,
blackest deer I've ever seen.
But then when I was walking away,
I was like looking around and I was like,
that was probably a big foot
because there's just no other explanation.
Because I've never seen a black deer.
And every deer I see,
there's no,
I've never seen a big buck in the pine bear.
It's ever.
The deer are just smaller.
They're just smaller.
Like up in,
North Jersey, yeah, they get bigger. But Pine Barron's deer are just, they're just not that big. So it was really odd to see.
How tall would you estimate that it was?
I'd say it was about at least six and a half, seven foot. It was tall. Because I thought the deer was jumping at first.
Like it had jumped really high, but then I realized that's how tall it actually was.
Did you notice anything about the shape of the head at all?
it was small it was a small head it was like not a gigantic head it was like a compact okay so like
you're saying like rounded like the shape yeah no it was like tucked in to its to its upper
body i didn't see its upper body like actual upper body but you could see where the head was positioned
on and it was just it was like very compact on to whatever it was almost to say do you think it had a
all or lack of a neck?
Yeah, there was no like bobbly head.
It was like locked on to its body.
Okay.
Did the whole thing that you could see, did it look like it was covered with hair then?
Yeah, it was black hair.
It was dark black.
Okay.
So it was weird.
Could you get a feel for how long the hair was at all?
It wasn't like, I'll tell you, it was not super long.
It was like short, not short cut, but it was shorter.
Definitely not like long and scraggly.
Gotcha. Could you see any ears on it at all?
No, could not see any ears.
Okay.
Any muscles at all that you could see?
No, no muscles.
It was like it knew that I was about to approach it and it was like it was so scared to be seen.
That's what like the feeling I got was.
Like some animals are like that.
You just approach them and they're like, get out of there immediately.
They don't even look at you.
They're just gone.
And that's what it felt like.
It was like it wanted nothing to do with me at all.
Absolutely.
Just to ask, did you happen to get any photos of anything or audio recording or anything like that?
No, I should have been recording after I saw it because it was walking around,
but I just wanted to see it so badly.
I really didn't care.
I wasn't thinking about anything, like afterwards.
I was just so not excited, but I was so, like, in the moment, I didn't really want to.
I was listening so hard.
And I was like, I need to really focus on seeing this thing again, see if I can get it back over here.
Did you smell anything weird at the time?

No, I didn't. I didn't smell anything weird. I didn't notice, though, that where it was standing was not on a deer
because when I walked up to where it was actually standing and where it ran through, I was like, that was
probably a huge black deer and it just ran down a deer path because just for my experience, deer's
stay on the path. Even small, tiny game trails, they take those. They don't like to go in the
brush, just no trail at all. And that's where this thing was. There was no trail at all, just to
the middle of the brush. So that was weird. Any weird sounds, or was there a lack of sound at the time?
There was just it moving, and it moved so quickly and aggressively through this brush. And this
brush is thick, man. And it is filled with thorns and all these types of bushes. And it would just
barreled right through it fast too to ask that another way was there any ambient sound at all at the time
of other things no dead silence have you ever experienced dead silence like that before
yeah i have okay i gotcha same area or different areas different areas okay you'd mention there
was a point where it almost looked back yeah
Yeah, I thought it would maybe I'd get a glimpse of it, but then it just kept running down.
It was like a little bit, it was a little bit of flat ground, and then it went down a hill.
So I couldn't see it once it went down the hill.
That I was going to double check with you.
So when it did that, did you see any other features or anything since it was positioning its head in a different relation to you?
Yeah, I didn't see any other features except for its blackhead, but it was, you could tell that it was.
using its arms to move through the brush. It was grabbing it and pushing it aside fast.
So just to refresh my memory, so you said that for the most part you saw the back of its head,
were there other times where you saw more of the creature then?
Now, I saw the blur through the brush, but I could only see really the top of its head.
Got it. So you're saying that at times you could see.
brush being pushed aside, things like that, or do you just are going off the sound?
Yeah, no, yeah, definitely.
It was a lot of brush being moved aside, but it was so much brush that it was hiding it.
And I only can see, all I can see was the top of its head, but you could tell by how it was
running and moving through the brush that it was huge.
When you went into that area, did you notice any broken branches or twisted off trees or anything?
The problem with the where I am in the pine barons is that the trees naturally like twist off and when they get when they get weak and old, they literally snap in half.
So you can't really tell if what it is.
And they bend naturally to arc.
So it's just it's hard to tell.
Yeah, that would be rough.
I was going to ask you that next.
So yeah, you've got naturally occurring tree bends then as well.
Any Xs in that area that you see ever?
There are X's, yeah. I see them sometimes. Not in that area. I wasn't looking for one, but in that area, I will say before I saw this thing, I looked to the, there was a couple areas on my right where the trees were snapped at the bottom and they were small and they were spread across a tiny little trail that the trail I didn't lean anywhere. It was just a dead end, probably like 30 yards ahead. But they were just snapped at the bottom and there were two of them identically pushed on the ground next to each other. Same size, not very big.
five foot, maybe a couple inches around. And then it looked like somebody was trying to block
that area from going through. And I was like, that looks odd. And then a minute later, I saw it. So
it was funny. That is really interesting. So you mentioned there are deer in this area, correct?
Yeah. There are some deer. I didn't see any deer on this plateau, though, that I was on. I've
seen them maybe a mile away, but I didn't actually see any on this plateau.
In that area, have you ever heard any sounds that are out of place, whooping, tree knocks, things of that nature?
Not in that area. In an area, maybe two hours south, in the southernmost point of the Pine Barrens, I heard a growl once, and it freaked me out, but I don't know what it was.
I can't say it was a big foot or anything. It scared me, though. I grabbed my dog and put her on the leash because she's never on the leash.
and I walked back looking behind me at all times.
And then I heard an owl, the loudest owl I've ever heard multiple times right behind me where the growl was.
So I was like, that's weird.
And it was dusk.
It wasn't dark out.
And his owl was way too loud.
Was that Vineland area?
Yeah, actually.
How did you know that?
Because I've done this for five years, buddy.
No, sorry, that was sassy.
but so here's the thing i've talked to this guy for multiple times from new jersey from your area
and there's a high high amount of back bigfoot activity down in the vileland area
this guy i go there a lot actually but i didn't know that and you talk to this guy yeah his name's
swamp dog you might see a truck driving around that says swamp dog on it he's the dude i haven't
talked to for to him in a while but that area has a ton of bigfoot activity and you can listen to i have a
few other episodes. But yeah, I'm not surprised that happened to you in the Vineland area.
It's pretty crazy down there. Literally, I go there a lot, actually, like maybe twice a week.
So in that area is where I've seen big trees that aren't, there's, there was no stump for the tree,
but it was laid up against other trees. And I've seen trees that are completely upside down laid
against other trees, but my mind would always just say, it's a storm, or it couldn't be,
and just keep, but then there's nothing like that in other areas. There's, every other area I go
that's not Vineland, the trees are smaller that are broken and bent and twisted, but in Vineland,
the trees were huge and they were turned over, and it was like, okay, that could have been
something for sure. Yeah, there's been some real wild stuff that's been going on down there in
the last few years. Back to your citing today,
Were there any other things that you noticed?
How about this?
You said there were cat tails there, right?
Yep.
Did you happen to get close to the area where the cat tails were?
No, I just, because that's not the way I was going.
I was headed back north, but I was probably like 200 yards away from the area.
You said you are going to go back to check things out again tomorrow?
Probably, yeah.
I'd say almost definitely.
I do know a few researchers in southern New Jersey.
Is that anything where you would want to talk to a researcher in the area or go by yourself?
Yeah.
I'd be cool with that.
Okay.
See what they have to send.
If I reach out to them, can I pass on your phone number or would I?
Yeah, sure.
Yeah, that'd be fine.
Okay.
Cool.
Yeah.
Oh, also, if you, if in the next few days you notice anything else out of the ordinary,
feel free to reach out just so that's documented.
Okay, cool.
I have a question for you, actually, that I was thinking about.
So I ran up on this thing and it was clearly just an animal running away from me.
I know Wes from Sasquash Chronicles.
I talked to him once two years ago about, I just texted him because I listen to a show all the time.
and I want to talk to him.
So he let me talk to him for a good while.
And I asked him what he thinks it is.
And I think that there's something about them.
There's something that they can do.
They have superpowers that we can't do.
And that's the reason that they're always ahead of us
and we can't pin them down.
And then I've heard stories on your show that say they deal with like energy
and their energy beings and they can cloak and they can do all this weird stuff.
But at the end of the day, I've seen from my experience,
they're just animals that are really good at hiding and they hunt deer so they can't be seen at all times
they wake up and they're hungry they're in hide mode all day long they can never have a deer get near them
or see them they're always hunting right just like an animal so i think that's why they're so stealthy and i
think that they're not dumb they know that they stink or they have a scent just like most creatures
probably know this and they don't want the second they step foot on a trail they leave
their scent on that footprint. So I don't think that they like stepping on the trails for that reason.
And I know that deer always follow the trails. They follow their game trails and they follow the
regular trails. I see their footprints all over. So I think that they know not to step on the
trails for that reason. And they also know they're just, they're wired to be in hide mode at all times.
And they've just gotten so good at it over thousands of years. That's why they're so stealthy.
But then I hear these other stories that they're like magical being. So I'm curious,
do you think they are? Yeah, so my show, it's definitely unique as in I talk to a wide variety of
people from all, all spectrums, right? Personally, what I think is I do think that we are dealing with,
so currently what I think right now is we're dealing with some kind of physical animal that can do
a whole lot of weird stuff that science doesn't, can't grasp its mind around right now. And I think
hopefully in the future, science will understand exactly,
what's going on and that might involve getting one and being able to study it.
Now, there are things that I can't explain away.
There are stories where, like, Skinwalker Ranch,
where it's like they saw one come through a portal up on the top of the road.
And you've got the connection between them and UFO sightings in Chestnut Ridge in Southwest Pennsylvania.
So there's all this like the forest lights, like the lights are intriguing to me.
Yeah, and you've got other stories like one in Iowa in Backbone State Park where an individual,
saw a blue orb and then they looked back and there was a big foot controlling the orb with its hands and there's all this weird stuff that I can't quite categorize yet but what I personally feel is it's just it's a physical animal that can do some really weird stuff so this all is a way for me to figure out what's going on too but that's what I feel currently so cool yeah that's awesome man love to hear it absolutely that's interesting yeah all right I you can hook me up
with the researcher and if I see anything else or hear anything else, I'll definitely give you a call.
Absolutely.
Matt, thank you for hopping on real quick.
I appreciate you coming on the show to share what you saw just this is, it's a new world record.
It's just a few hours ago.
So, I mean, it just keeps getting crazier and crazier, but I appreciate you coming on and I will get you in touch with that researcher.

So you have a great rest of your night, man.
Awesome, man.
Thanks.
You too, brother.
I'll talk you soon.
I was able to reach out to a Southern New Jersey Bigfoot researcher who was able to spend some time with Matt the witness and check out the area.
