And now on with the show.
All right, Bigfoot Society.
We got the privilege of talking to Tim from Washington State.
We had talked to him a little bit a few episodes ago.
He had called in on our Bigfoot Encounter live show
that happens every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m. Central Standard Time. It's fun talking to him for a few
minutes then, but he had contacted me after that and he said, hey, I've got a lot more interesting
things to share if you're up for it. So Tim, I'm excited that we were able to get this to happen.
And I'm going to go ahead and give it right over to you, sir.
Awesome. Thank you, Jeremiah. I love your podcast. And I really appreciate you having me on.
So a little background, I'm from the Pacific Northwest. I've lived here all my life.
I have been camping since I was two in the Olympic National Park area, Lake Cushman.
I've been backpacking since I was 12.
I've known the mountains really well.
And for most of my life, I've been skeptical and even dismissive of the idea of Sasquodge being a real thing.
Maybe because, maybe because, you know, the movies we saw growing up, Harry the Henderson's or, you know, it's kind of like it's on the same level as Gremlins or something, something silly like that.
And, you know, the statues, we see wooden statues everywhere in the small towns around, around the mountains.
And it just kind of, I kept it as a silly story, you know, legends mythology.
And so I started having strange experiences.
And what's interesting is the first time I've had an experience of something really that sort of knocked that idea off the table was in 2001.
It was actually on and around September 11th, 2001.
A friend and I had decided to go backpacking deep in the central Cascade Mountains.
I'm talking 10 miles away from a dirt road that's 10 miles away from a highway, a place called Neckless Valley.
And necklace valley, I mean, you can really throw a dart at the middle of the cascades.
And that's where it is.
And we left on September 10th and didn't have cell phones back then, by the way.
So we had no contact with the outside world.
And so me and my friend Jay, we started down this long valley.
It's the Foss River Valley.
And as we're hiking along, we just keep getting hit with this putrid,
rotting garbage smell that just suddenly hits.
And it was the weirdest thing because we're looking around.
It's beautiful.
There's ferns and moss and huckleberries and cedars and hemlocks.
It's just a gorgeous typical northwest mountain forest scene.
And it goes away.
It seems to come and go quickly.
It's like we enter a cloud of a dumpster stench.
And it was just so.
strange to me that this was happening.
And another thing I'll point out is,
is Jay's six foot four,
but kind of hunches,
slouches,
and he's got really long arms.
And I think at the time he might have even had his long hair.
And,
you know,
we would joke that he looks like a Saskatch,
but that's beside the point,
or maybe it's not beside the point.
Maybe they were checking him
out wondering if he was related to them somehow.
But so we hike this seven miles of trail along the Foss River, like I said, and we need a
break.
So we go down to the river where there's a pool, a nice calm pool and a gravel bar.
We take out of our packs and we're sitting there and throwing rocks in the water.
And we do this thing, which I still love doing, it's, you throw a log or a stick in the
the water and then you have a little competition to throw rocks at it,
see who can hit the log, make it bounce off, skip rocks, stuff like that.
And we ended up being there for an entire hour throwing rocks into this river
because it's just we're getting competitive, we're having fun, we're laughing.
And after about an hour from the dense brush across the pool from us comes a rock.
I'd say golf ball size rock
straight out from
like dense salmonberry
sallow
little hemlock trees
a really dense brushy
split
and we stop
we look at each other
we say hello
and there's no answer
you expect like
it's another hiker or something
we had not seen any other hikers
on this day by the way it was a Monday
we had
had the trail to ourselves.
So we don't say word.
We just grab our backpacks, throw them on, and we book up the trail.
And this is the beginning of the steeper climb to Neckless Valley.
And, you know, it was over 20 years ago.
I don't remember all the conversation, but I think, I think he might have said,
do you think that was a Sasquatch, you know?
And we kind of, oh, I don't know, man.
My conclusion was, quote unquote, there's creepy things out in the woods.
And I didn't think Harry and the Henderson, Sasquatch, whatever, Patterson, Gingley, any of that, I just thought it's a creepy thing, just something creepy out there.
So we get to camp, and I can't be certain that this happened on the same trip, but we heard this owl call that was, it sounded like an 800-pound man imitating an owl.
and coming from ground level in the dark trees as we're kind of, you know,
walking around at night around camp.
So that was another thing that just there's creepies out here and then brushing it off
and not thinking about it.
And what is interesting about this trip is, like I said, we didn't have cell phones.
The next morning was September 11, 2001.
and we spent the day hiking around,
these beautiful blue skies,
just having a typical backpacking trip.
We explored Neckless Valley,
which is, you know, Opel Lake, Jade Lake, Lockett Lake.
It's named for its beautiful little multicolored lakes.
And at night, we got back to camp,
and we hadn't noticed that there had been no planes in the air all day
and into the night,
but we had noticed how
quiet and isolated we felt out there.
And what's strange is we're sitting around our little fire
at one of the little lakes.
And Jay said,
wow, we're so far out here.
Wouldn't it be crazy if there was some kind of apocalypse
that happened when we're out here
and we didn't even know about it?
And we kind of, ha, ha, ha, ha, you know, yeah.
But we were just in awe of the stars.
and the quiet
and we didn't find out
about September 11th until
September 12th
hiking on the way out heard
from a hiker
so you know
it's just a
it's just an interesting coincidence
that I remember
my first possible encounter
being
everybody that was alive
then kind of remembers what
where they were what they were doing
And I didn't know about it.
Neither did Jay.
So that's a little background on, you know, where I was coming from at that time.
And an experience that really shook me in a few different ways.
There's a lot of really interesting things in that.
And it does sound like it was super remote as well.
You had mentioned Huckleberries, which is kind of interesting.
Oh, yeah.
They were ripe at the time.
a lot of of huckleberries in that area oh tons tons i remember coming back to camp after exploring
and and jay was getting annoyed at me because i kept stopping and grabbing huckleberries and
mountain blueberries and just eating them like candy all right so yeah that's that's definitely a food
source for all kinds of species around that area absolutely and i'm guessing if you had if you had
seen something like you would have mentioned it, but no like interesting things on the ground,
like large amounts of of bows or sticks put together, anything like that that you had noticed.
You know, I, you know, I didn't, I remember seeing things like this and just, like I said,
I was so dismissive. I didn't know about this topic at all. And I was just naive, just, oh, that's weird.
Look, there's a teepee thing. But that doesn't look. That's too big for something.
someone to make and why would they make it out here strange that trees would fall in that kind of
pattern you know or big X's or big you know yeah broken all kinds of broken limbs and I just
I just overlooked it and most of my life I've overlooked these things but noticed them so
later on in the last couple of years I've got a lot of stories about things I have seen
and including the footprints.
So we'll get to that.
I would imagine we're probably close to the same age.
I'm guessing maybe 40s around there.
Yeah, yeah.
So I get the significance of how it was there were no planes in the sky.
I'm guessing most of the listeners will,
but I do know we do have a few that are probably pretty young,
maybe even born after 9-11.
And the reason it was so quiet that morning is because, you know, when 9-11 happened and afterwards, all the planes were grounded and made to return to airports, which would be why he did not notice any planes in the sky at that time.
But just it's an interesting, it's an interesting time frame and not to digress too much.
But, I mean, I was probably been 15 or 16.
I remember exactly what I was doing.
I was in the cafeteria.
So it's crazy.
But yeah, wild time for sure.
But an interesting first foray for you into the kind of the weird world of, you know, what's going on here.
And definitely continue with what else that you've experienced over the years.
Sure.
Later on, I mean, I'm skipping way ahead because like I said, when you're,
so close and you don't know what to look for. It's really easy to overlook things. So I really didn't
notice much out in my hikes and travels and backpacking trips and camping trips until kind of a
shocker in July of 2016. A girlfriend at the time and I, we drove a dirt road that goes way above
Lake Cushman and it borders like really borders exactly on the line of Olympic National Park.
And we decided to camp to camp in this beautiful spot.
And it's above the staircase area of Olympic National Park, which we've had, we've since heard reports come out of that area.
And we're pretty high up overlooking the valley where the Skokomish River and staircase is located.
And we found this just beautiful, beautiful camp spot, kind of nestled in some trees.
trees, overlooking the valley.
There's lush, moss, lichens, and ferns.
And it's just felt like heaven.
I mean, sometimes there's a place and a time on this planet when you just, I made it,
I made it to heaven.
It doesn't get better than this.
So we kind of wandered around.
There's only game trails.
We followed some game trails to some really giant mossy boulders.
There was a pond nestled in these boulders.
on the top of the cliffs, which is just a really cool thought.
I mean, here's a water source for animals.
Here's, you know, the watering hole.
And so we're just having a wonderful time.
We're totally, totally solitude.
There's no people around one car passed once.
It's a weekday again and drove way far from us.
So there was no people, no campers, no cars.
Early evening, I start gathering some wood, and I go to light a fire.
And keep in mind, there's no wind.
It's a calm summer evening.
And I light the fire, and it's kind of a big, you know, billowing smoke comes out.
And what happened was the second the smoke billowed over the edge into the valley,
a big tree
goes
just obviously
being pushed over
the second
the smoke
travels over the edge of
and I mean
I've never been so startled
by something
in the forest
and immediately through my head
I'm like okay there's no people out here
okay okay
what intelligence
did that because that was an intelligence that pushed that tree over.
It was an intention.
It was an intentional act.
It wasn't a coincidence because again, no wind and the second the smoke went over the edge.

That big tree crashed down.
And I kind of ran over, looked around, nothing there.
Again, I didn't know what.
to look for. Just this phenomenon
happened. And
you know, I started talking to
my girlfriend, like, what
is, what is that? Is that?
Did that feel like a
Sasquatch? My brother would probably think that's
a Sasquatch. And she
goes into, yeah, I have friends that
say that it's an interdimensional
being. And I'm like,
what? What? Back up
a second. I just, I'd
never heard of any of this
stuff. And especially not the
the interdimensional or
you know the kind of
a supernatural aspect so
it just was shocking
we talked about it
we decided you know what
we are sort of we're here in peace
we're peaceful people
we don't bring any
any ill intention with us
let's stay
let's cook our food let's stay on the fire
and and we did
we didn't book it out of there
and nothing else happened
that I was aware of that whole time.
We just had a wonderful
wonderful time there.
So about a year later,
my mom, bless her heart,
bought the family
a small off-grid camping property
near Lake Cushman and Dow Creek,
which is a location
now I know is mentioned in BFRO,
Taskatch Chronicles,
a flash of duty.
Theater Roosevelt used to
stay at a lodge at Lake
Cushman, and you know about his connection
if you don't. He's got some
stories connected to Sasquatch, which are
fascinating. So, yeah,
so we got this property that we use
for camping, and it's just a patch
of dirt with trees, and
it borders this
very wild forested ravine
that's a green belt,
that's an unbroken chain
of wilderness that goes all the way up.
in the Olympic National Park.
So animals can travel straight through the whole park right into our property if they want to,
which we've seen bobcats multiple times, multiple times.
My brother saw cougars.
There's bearscat.
We hear coyotes all the time.
There's just wild things.
Deer come right up into the lot and raccoons.
And it's just a beautiful little magical place that we that we share.
And again, I had not been studying anything in regards to Sasquatch until barely recently.
And I got this funny little story about we have a little dog, or my mom has a little dog that she named Yeti.
And what's funny is he's like a little white dog that kind of stands up on two feet a lot.
So she named him Yeti.
and one time we're camping with the whole family there.
It's my mom's birthday, and mom and Yeti are sitting in the hammock,
and the hammock is right on the edge of the woods.
It's right where the dark forested ravine, we hear animals a lot.
It's right there.
And my mom, we're all kind of chatting around the fire,
and my mom says, you guys, something just growled from the trees,
and Yeti growled back.
And she told me it wasn't any kind of growl she's ever heard.
It had a really low register that didn't sound like a bear or a cougar or any animal.
And this is at a point where we were still laughing about this stuff and joking about it.
And so everyone brushed it off.
And then some interesting things started happening.
We started hearing howls and even these deep, faraway roaring sounds.
And they were long, deep roars that sound like, you know, a cross between an elephant and a lion.
And it's weird just to be, you know, sitting around camp and then suddenly you hear this roar way off.
And every time it happens, there's these dogs.
People have dogs and the dogs go berserk.
they just lose their marbles.
And the roars are kind of followed by strange howls.
We've heard this a siren howl, which my girlfriend thought was a siren starting up.
And you can look that up.
I'm not going to try to repeat what it sounds like, but the siren howl is really alarming
because there's not an animal that does that.
So a couple years later, you know, we're just enjoying.
the place.
2022, my lady and I, we go hiking at staircase, which, you know, it's not far from
where we're camping.
We go there all the time from our property to staircase.
And it's an ancient forest along the Snoqualmie River Valley.
The trees are as big as houses, literally just humongous ancient cedars, ancient hemlocks,
screws for
gorgeous
valley
and it's a beautiful day
we're doing a little hike along
and
we want to look for a little picnic spot
so I start
kind of going off trail
and I don't recommend doing this
at Olympic National Park
because of what happened
so we wander up a little game trail
about 100 yards
off the trail and we
we come to this just beautiful little glen and it's got grass growing and little
trees and it's surrounded by fallen trees and we lay out a picnic blanket and it's a hot day
and we lay down and we take our clothes off and we're just feeling totally wild sort of
connected to the environment and at the same time so vulnerable
and that's one another
crash
breaks the silence
this big crash
probably 30 yards away from us
and
if you've ever been
in a wild
place without clothes on
and you hear a big crash
it was very
very startling
I've never been that startled
I jumped up
I jump on a log and I look from the direction and no, there's nothing.
There's nothing.
Now I can assume from what I've learned that this is common behavior with Sasquatch.
And what I'm assuming they do is they get down on their bellies a lot.
I think they're on all fours a lot more than we think.
I think that they're down behind ferns and Salau.
And I think that's a common behavior because I didn't see anything.
And it happened 30 yards away.
And I would have seen something, you know, running off if it was an elk or whatever it was.
But we start gathering our things, getting our clothes back on.
And we look around and we're like, look at this little place where in this little nook has animal signs everywhere.
Every tree has scratches and rubs on it.
We're seeing scat from deer, elk, coyote, bear, cougar.
I mean, everything that can scat, scats there.
And we were like, this is their living room.
This is where the animals live.
And who knows what had just been in there?
And what had made that noise was asking us to kindly exit, which we did.
And we left a few apples and salmon kind of as a, as a,
as an offering or a thank you.
So there was that experience.
And then the other,
the other experiences I have actually at the property itself.
But yeah,
if you have any questions about the Olympic National Park,
open to that.
Man, I cannot imagine being in that situation.
Wow.
Yeah, that could have gotten,
that could have gotten way south.
So if you had to,
if you had to estimate,
How big of a tree got pushed over?
What would you, what would you say?
Let's say 14 inches around.
Probably one of the snags, one of the standing dead trees that are common around there.
It was loud.
And it had fallen, it sounded like it had fallen in the direction of downhill.
And so it made a really big crash.
you know there's more gravity more momentum but you weren't able to see the act like you probably
weren't able to see if it was pushed towards you guys or away from you guys it sounded like you
just you just heard it get pushed right yeah yeah it's a it's a pretty steep steep landscape and
dense and you know i i got the message and i didn't go snoop around i i the message both of those
times it was very clear you know be aware be very aware oh i agree i mean i have experienced that once
in iowa and i was very new it was my first time out and it's like i freaked out i thought i was
like why are there fireworks being set off i mean it's just it's that loud and i'm guessing yours was
a way bigger tree too yeah it was well it was a big tree
It was an experience, a very shocking experience.
How did your girlfriend react to the tree being pushed over?
Well, kind of, it's strange.
Both times we're kind of like, well, we come in peace.
We're going to quietly go in peace.
Not a lot of story around it at the time.
I hadn't yet looked into this, really,
but these experiences were the thing that set me to look into the phenomenon
on and really dive deep and and you know start you know cutting away at some of the skepticism that
I have so yeah absolutely what other sounds did you hear in the part of the forest you were in
yeah wood knocks and okay it's it's just I mean it was just something I thought oh that's just
the sound that the woods makes you know a real like just baseball bat against the tree at the
time I just thought oh that's just some things in the woods naive naive me just so yeah there's stuff
out here so you were hearing wood knocks when you were in that glen far away okay wow and then
little pops too you know little little pops yeah which we we heard at the at the property during
this next round do you remember the knocks that you would hear was there a pattern to them were there
multiples, single, anything weird like that?
No, one.
One.
And then a pause.
And then minutes later, another.
So.
Ooh.
Very interesting.
Probably a very good idea to leave the apple and salmon as a gift as well.
Yeah, we felt it.
We felt it strongly.
I mean, there was a,
there was a presence.
that, you know, if I was more of a supernatural-minded person,
I would say that there were spirits in this little glen,
but I don't know if we just kind of felt the energy left over of the animals
that they just left,
because it's a perfect little spot for them to eat the grass
and do their rubbings of their antlers and all of that.
And it's heavy.
It was a heavy, dense, energetic feeling that we had.
And so it was just like, let's back out, let's leave an offering.
It ended up being just really a magical experience.
We felt like we stepped into another realm, another reality that was palpable,
palpably different than do-to-do going down the trail.
Right.
Yeah.
That's interesting.
I don't know how I would have handled that one, but it sounds like you handled it okay.
So yeah, let's continue.
It sounds like you're about to share about some things that were happening on the actual property.
Yeah, this brings it on home.
So I had over the last year, year and a half, I've been having a lot of conversations with my brother,
who's been a lot more open-minded about the phenomenon of Sasquatch.
and he's literally changed my mind because, you know, I'm sorry to my brother for being so dismissive for so long.
Because once I started studying and looking into it myself, I'm like, oh, my God, this makes sense.
This not only doesn't make sense and also kind of doesn't make sense, which blows my mind.
But I've been around.
They've been around me.
And I've overlooked a lot of things.
So the next big event actually happened last 4th of July.
And we wanted to get out of town.
Me and my lady wanted to get out of town for 4th of July.
So it's just like, well, let's go to the property.
Let's camp.
We don't need fireworks.
Fireworks are banned in the area.
We don't need, you know, rowdy neighbors.
Let's just go in camp and be in the quiet.
And it was the best decisions we could have made.
because as as dusk is falling,
we've got the beautiful fire going.
We're cooking oysters over the fire.
We're drinking Almeretto.
We're listening to like soul music,
which I highly recommend camping,
like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gay and Bill Withers.
And we're singing along and kind of just dancing.
And off in the distance,
about six miles, we're in the foothills of the Olympics, but about six miles away as Hood Canal
on the Puget Sound.

They're right by you.
And in Hood Canal, on the 4th of July, they did not want to be.
but two big
fireworks shows.
So although we're in an area
where there's no fireworks,
there's two big shows going off
about six miles downhill.
So we start
hearing,
occasionally pause the music,
and we start hearing
all kinds of wildlife
all around us
in every direction.
And I think we're the only ones
camping in this vicinity,
but we're hearing wildlife.
we're hearing coyotes and coyotes yipping and like they'd just gotten a kill, you know,
when they yip, yip, yip and howl and we hear in the owls.
Then we start hearing other large things down in the ravine behind us.
I know that I heard several wood knocks, twigs breaking, popping noises, crunch, crunch, crunch,
crunch footsteps just happening all over
and then the howls the howls as well
and I'll get to this one really bizarre
sing-song melodic
howl that we heard
I tried to record it and I couldn't get to it in time
but at one point we're just having a good time
like I said we're just intrigued
we're like kids just excited about
the woods and how alive it is
I mean, it was just, it was a revelation because you go camping, you know, you go to a spot and you don't get surrounded by animals.
They typically flee an area, but we are getting surrounded.
And at one point, I'm just in the right kind of mood.
I'm cracking open oysters and I'm standing next to the fire.
And a pine cone comes flying from horizontally.
and hits me in the back.
And I went, okay, I guess this is happening now.
Again, pine cones don't fly at you horizontally.
If they fall out of a tree, they come straight down or maybe at an angle down.
But this came actually from the dense brush that's a little bit sloped down from our camp.
And I looked down, another one is right at my feet, like it had just
been tossed. And these are little fur cones.
They're not actually pine
cones. But at that
point, I just kind of went, okay,
this is
what's happening.
We are obviously the
entertainment of this
area because we got, again, the oysters
cooking, you know, we're
laughing, we're having
a good time. We're singing along
for this music.
And so my thought is
this fireworks show, it pushed elk, deer, rabbits, everything.
Everything that's an animal is scared of these fireworks.
So they're coming up, up the foothills, and into our little valley, our little creek valley,
which is near Dow Creek.
And just an awesome experience.
And in my head, you know, I'm just tipsy enough to go, yeah, cool.
there's like little juvenile
Sasquatch that are finding us entertaining
while they're
hunting all the raccoons and whatever
else they're feasting on tonight
so it was a cool experience
I really wasn't scared because
the lady I'm with is so
so cool
we just
we just don't
we haven't been actually frightened
by this presence
we figure you know we're doing something
that's enjoyable to see and smell
and hopefully not taste.
But that night, you know, I
I hear this weird
sing song howl from about, again,
about 100 feet
from camp in the woods.
I'm going to try to remember
how it went, but it was like a song.
It was like, and I don't know
what animal does that.
It was a little longer
and drawn out than that.
But I'm like,
what was that? What was that?
And I hit pause on the,
music and I wait and a couple seconds later it's closer it's closer it's about 50 yards or 50 feet or
you know it feels like it's closer than than the first sing-song how so that was just incredible
if anybody knows what what animal that could be I'm not 100% going to say hey that was a
Sasquatch, but, you know, it makes sense that it would be the same thing that threw a pine
comment, Tim. So, so that was, that was the experience last year that has sort of continued
every time we go out there to go camping. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's these strange noises we hear.
And because, again, I was kind of, you know, still skeptical studying the subject, but like,
I don't want to jump to conclusions because that's not science to jump to conclusions.
But it's not scientific to ignore data either and to not examine data.
So the next morning after the 4th of July, it's July 5th, we're cooking breakfast and we hear this roar and we look at each other.
And the roar is, it sounds to be about half a mile away, but it's so loud that it's echoing in the valley.
And this is up Dow Creek.
Again, people can look into Dow Creek.
It's multiple accounts of it.
But the roar was amazing.
Again, we're not totally conclusive about what it is, but things are starting to stack up and make sense.
we did a little trek up Dow Creek,
well down it actually following game trails
just for fun and to just enjoy the experience of exploring.
And this is the next morning after Wild 4th of July.
And we see fresh piles of bearscap.
I mean the black, the piles, you know, what it looks like.
We're seeing elk and deer, the little, you know, cocoa puffs or whatever.
And then we come across what I didn't know at the time, but now I know fits the description of Sasquatch doo-doo.
And it has kind of the consistency of a human scat.
But it's the thickness of a Coke can.
I went, what left that?
And it's clearly not a bear.
because we've seen the bear recently,
and it's black, it's full of seeds.
It's, they've eaten a lot of berries,
and it's, it's just like a black mound.
And this is, this is a Coke can.
And I'm actually able to poke a stick into it
and picked it up.
And it was that firm.
It was staying on the stick.
Sorry if this is like, you know,
not table manner description of this stuff.
But, but I'm just,
I'm now looking at the science of it, and it's really interesting.
That same trek into that little valley, the little Dow Creek area.
Well, first she heard a crash and then a splash, and then I looked over, and going up
this log was a small brownish gray quadruped animal,
which I'm just going to assume was a bobcat.
And it was a really cool experience.
It wasn't, you know, it wasn't like a Sasquatch per se,
but a bobcat's a pretty cool thing to see when you're in the middle of the woods.
And, you know, not far from where you're camping.
So that kind of.
That kind of leads to what happened last month.
But if you have any questions about...
Yeah, I do have a few questions about Fourth of July, definitely.
What were you guys cooking for breakfast on the 5th?
Do you remember?
Let's see.
Kind of greens and eggs and probably some black beans.
Kind of a...
Maybe it could have been one of my famous casadillas as well.
Okay, cool.
Cool, cool.
You mentioned that you had picked up the scat.
Did you notice anything out of the ordinary about sometimes, you know, their animal scat, you can see different things that will lead you to believe they had eaten this or eaten that.
Did you notice anything, details like that when you brought up?
Yeah. Yeah, bones and hair.
Bones and hair.
Okay.
Yeah.
It looked like ours, but with bones and hair in it.
And probably I didn't dissect it.
You know, I wasn't in that kind of mood.
Might have been seeds in it as well.
But yeah, bones and hair and thick as a Coke can, like I said, or soup can, which is odd.
I know you said you didn't dissect it, but could you notice anything about the bones or just you could notice, hey, it looks like maybe I can see a little bit of something that looks like a bone in there.
just crunched up
crunched up bones
small bones
you know
if I was to jump to
conclusions I'd say it was a
you know
something that eaten a raccoon
or a rabbit
small mammal
yeah
wow
that's
that's a new one for me
that's that is wild
but
I mean it
it makes sense for sure
that
yeah
I just think you're the
person I've talked to that's actually been able to, you know, pick, pick, just pick it up and check it out. So,
hats off to you. Right. Thanks. Was, I mean, we're already there. So we'll just keep going. Was there a
interesting smell to it at all? I didn't. I didn't examine it that far. Okay. But the,
the forest was just so fragrant at that time because, you know, it's July. It's, it's, it's a
warm day and this is a dense kind of rainforest creek valley and so the the fragrances of the soil
and the moss and everything is just kind of wafting up into the air it's really a lovely lovely place
gotcha so you you said and you kind of alluded to it so every time you guys go to this this property
you have you're experiencing these weird sounds or something similar it sounds like yeah definitely
And what's interesting is, you know, not everything sets off the dogs,
but there's these dogs that when they hear these howls,
they just go berserk, like uncontrollable barking reactive,
not just like territorial dogs, but dogs that are that are flipping out.
So, you know, that's pretty noticeable thing there.
the the melodic you'd said a melodic howl i have i have heard it reference to something similar to like
like that and like two other reports and they've been from the pacific northwest i think one was
more by let's say east of portland that area and i guess the other one might
might have been even more by Mount Rainier.
So you're not not the first one that that kind of has described it like that.
It's very interesting.
Yeah.
And we're the only ones playing music in that area.
I kind of wonder if they were kind of, this is jumping to a conclusion,
but I wonder if they're reacting to music.
Like they're hearing, they're hearing a song.
They're hearing Marvin Gay, you know.
And then it's like, well, I want to, I want to sing too.
I want to try to make that sound, mimic that, you know, that music.
Well, exactly.
And, you know, there have been people that have reported other sounds in the woods that should not be there that kind of lead to perhaps there's other mimicry going on.
For example, they say, I hear a zipper being unzipped.
Well, there's no zippers around here.
We hear a metallic car door being slammed.
There's no card doors or cars where I'm at out here in the woods.
That doesn't make sense.
So I don't think it's out of the question to maybe go down that trail of thought that you were thinking.
But it's interesting to think about for sure.
Something I might recommend if you're up for it is, you know, you can pick up a audio recorder for not that much.
maybe like, I mean, you could probably get one for around like 70, 80, probably even less.
But what the Olympic project recommends to do is to have that sound recorder going with you, even as you are getting out of your car at the property, because a lot of times what they will do is they will catch these almost alert knocks when they get to their property, like the Sasquatch, you're telling the other ones, okay, they're here now.
And a lot of the sounds they get sometimes are when they actually just drive and, you know,
they catch him as they're leaving their cars.
So that might be something interesting to look into if you're game for it.
For sure.
Yeah.
I'll see if my brother's into that too because he's the one that's been studying this a lot longer
than me.
Anyway, yeah, yeah.
Could be really cool.
And I would definitely send you audio samples if we find any.
thing.
You get to record anything.
Absolutely.
And so even after all this, you are still having other things that are going on, correct?
Yes, the confirmation that we got.

Picture the two of you sitting side by side,
a Mai Tai in your hands and the sounds of Hawaii around you.
You almost forget you're on a plane.
And that's the point.
Because when you fly with Hawaiian Airlines, it's hard to tell where your flight ends and vacation begins.
Hawaii starts here.
Last month.
Would you like me to go into that a little bit?
Absolutely, yeah, absolutely.
Okay, so I can't remember which day it was, but it was a weekday last month.
And again, just, hey, we got an opportunity to go up for a couple nights in camp.
and it was just me and my lady
and we did the typical thing
packed everything brought
a bunch of good firewood
unloaded the firewood
oh wait wait back up a second
didn't know there'd be four to five inches of snow
on the ground
at the property
and all the forest around us
basically the roads were clear
but we had inches of snow
all over anywhere that's not a road
and that was a fun surprise
because we hadn't been
there before and seeing what it even looks like with the snow on the ground.
We got an outdoor kitchen and a little outdoor wash station and the fire pit and the
hammock and everything just was covered in snow and it was really special and unique.
And we unload, we have a snack.
We kind of get situated.
And I thought, you know what?
Let's go down in the ravine and see what's been walking around down there.
so I know we're going to find something because there's game trails down there
and I'll note very firstly that we didn't see any human tracks any boot tracks
any you know bicycle tires anything human we didn't see evidence of that had been
down in this valley since it snowed so we we go down this steep incline and we get to
the first game trail and there's tracks there are tracks of everything and they're dense
they're dense tracks we immediately see the deer because the deer had even been around us you know
later on that day we're seeing air prints which you know i kind of know how to how to measure that
with my hand bobcat possible bobcat they again they look like cat prints but a little bigger
and then we start seeing these other prints that look like human fists like big human fists
and I'm like okay let's let's follow these furways and we follow them and it looks like something
human like that's on all fours and maybe jogging through the snow and we go a little ways
and we go off, it starts going off into some denser brush,
some devil's club, which don't ever touch this stuff.
It's really painful.
And, you know, old ferns and it's just a, it's like a rainforest environment,
but imagine it covered in snow.
And we finally get to a big footprint.
Literally a big footprint.
And it's shaped like a human foot.
but it is about 15 inches long.
And I go, oh, look at this, look at this, look at this.
And I bring her over and we're looking at it.
And I go, this can only be one thing.
And I look a little closer and inside this big 15 inch print is about a nine inch smaller footprint.
And it's clearly.
human-like
the way that there's a big
toe and then it descends
to the smaller toes at an angle
and then you've got the ball of the
foot and then you've got
the heel
is a perfectly round symmetrical
heel
and in between the ball and the heel
is this hourglass
shape
where now I know it's
it's called the mid-tarsal break
and it's a joint
I guess that the best way to describe is a joint midfoot.
So the foot is sort of like ours,
but also sort of like an orangutan.
It's got that joint for,
you know, orangutans use it for transportation, climbing, whatever.
And I'm like, the more I'm looking at it,
the more it's getting clear to me.
Like this is definitely a Sasquatch,
two Sasquatch tracks.
and I'm calling it the mother and child prints
because it's just so cute to
not cute but
it looks like a story
is being told where the child
is stepping into the mom's
footprints
there's just something really amazing
I can't put to words
about finding this
and knowing that yes
what we've been hearing
what we've been experiencing
is real and it's there.
It's not always there,
but maybe it migrates.
Maybe they migrate through there.
So that was confirmation for me.
And the real confirmation was not just seeing it,
not just photographing it,
but putting my hand,
touching the prints,
feeling the contours of it,
and knowing that that's not,
there's no way that's a bear.
There's no way that's,
any other mammal
and there's no way
it's a human
because there's no
group prints anywhere around
the people around there
are you know
there's a few homes nearby
and you know they
they're not out in the woods
they're a lot of couple of retired people
probably you know
just kind of live a quiet life
in their home and
they don't go out into these
forested ravines
I don't think people typically do around there, but we did, and we found that evidence.
And there's no, not a shred of doubt in my mind about what, that it was what it was.
And getting that confirmation helped me to backtrack to previous experiences and go, okay, yeah, that's what that was.
That's what that was.
That's what that was.
And of course, I keep an edge of skepticism because that's healthy and that's scientific.
But they're real.
I don't have a doubt that there's something real that can leave a footprint,
leave multiple footprints like that.
And so that's where I'm at now.
I'll add this.
What's really exciting about it.
What was so exciting at the moment to me was it was one week later,
after hearing a firsthand account from a friend of my girlfriend.
And we went over to this lady's house,
and I'll call this couple just to kind of keep your identity,
you know, on the down low.
And their account, if I can go into that,
was that she told me they were up above Rosalind, Washington,
and going down a dirt road,
in the middle of nowhere
near the Salmon Lassack area
which I've camped in many times
and there's three people in the car
and they all three
looked over into the woodline
and saw
a ratty
mangy
nine foot tall
humanoid thing with giant
arms swinging
I mean she described it
and this woman is
just like you would she would never they would never make this up so that was a week a week before
we found the prints so it was a really potent and interesting experience to have confirmation
for myself after you know after talking to a witness and their story is interesting they all three saw it
all three were shocked
and they didn't talk
for about 15 minutes
going down this dirt road
and you imagine
15 minutes of silence
and then the lady in the backseat
said, did you guys see what I saw?
So
those is a really cool story.
Maybe I can get them in touch with you
and be on the podcast.
But yeah,
so that's just to kind of wrap it up
for my experience.
so far at our property.
So first off, feel more than free to pass on my info to anyone that you see fit.
That would be a good fit.
Great.
About the track.
So when I was listening to your story again, I was thinking, were you able to measure out
or do you remember how far the track?
tracks were away from each other,
maybe anything to do with a gate or anything like that?
Yeah,
if I was,
if I brought a tape or,
you know,
something to measure,
the problem is because I'm not jumping to conclusions about the other tracks,
I'm not,
I'm not certain that it's that it's a softquatch.
But I do think that they were on all fours,
knuckles on the ground,
and maybe,
maybe following the deer.
and then occasionally standing up and standing
and then going back to all fours.
That's what I'm assuming
because of the way that a lot of it was messy.
And then amongst the messiness,
you occasionally see this perfect humanoid track in the snow.
And so I got photos of two really good ones
and then four or five messy ones.
And then what we might even assume
is like a butt print where one of them sat down.
So that's interesting because it's, yeah,
and it looks like a person sat their butt right down the snow.
All right, well, we can go there too.
So what would you say would be the dimensions of what you saw there, roughly?
Probably 20 inches by 10 inches or something like that.
that.
We know there's a small one there.
I mean,
there's a smaller one and a large one.
So,
you know,
and that's just what I'm assuming based on.
I can definitely say there's a large adult and a small
child or juvenile or,
you know,
whatever you want to call it.
So there might be,
there might have been more.
Oh, boy,
we,
we stopped following the tracks as they went into like some denser brush,
because it just was like, okay,
it's, it's solemnly quiet in this valley.
We're the only, we're the only people down here.
Nobody knows we're down here.
We have now seen evidence that Sasquatch has been here at the minimum,
the minimum of four days within this happening.
I mean, that's when the snow was happening.
So let's go ahead and enjoy what,
we just experienced and make our way back to camp.
Absolutely.
And of course, later that night, you know, I hear twigs breaking and it's like,
nope.
Have you started asking around to see if you can talk to any other people that have had
sightings or weird things happening around the Dow Creek or Lake Cushman area yourself?
That's the next step for me.
Next time I go out there, there is a small country store.
It's kind of the hitch and post where people can kind of catch up and meet and things like that.
There's a really great guy that owns the store and makes great sandwiches, by the way.
My brothers talk to him a little bit.
My brothers talk to some people outside of the store.
You know, it's just kind of that country store dynamic where an old man sitting out there smoking a pipe.
And so yeah, I'll pursue that because I have photos.
And having the photos is just, it's, it's so much better than going up to someone and saying, hey, I heard a Sasquatch last night.
And it's like, no, hey, look at this photo that I took.
Yeah, exactly.
When you can start to show some, some evidence or, you know, if you get audio evidence in the future, you can play that.
I mean, yeah, it does give a lot of credence to it.
But sometimes you even have to, you know, you say, hey, in this area, have you ever heard anything that kind of sounds like a melodic howl?
I mean, you'd be surprised even stuff like that that can set people off as well.
But I think you're on the right track talking to that gentleman who owns that, like, small country store.
That's where all the info is going to be for sure.
Right.
Yeah, it's about to get exciting, Jeremiah.
I feel like this year, now that I know they're out there,
now that I know what to look for, it's going to be really exciting.
My girlfriend and I've decided we're definitely doing the 4th of July again,
and it could happen the exact same way.
There might be another fireworks show down the hill and the canal,
and it might push the wildlife back.
And, you know, who knows if they kind of have a clock.
an internal clock like birds with migration.
You know, who knows if Sasquatch,
they know,
they know patterns.
They follow patterns.
I would assume they do follow time patterns.
And if we're out there in Fourth of July
and we do the exact same thing,
play some Marvin Kaye cook oysters.
Right.
Dance around and sing.
We could have another interesting holiday.
Oh, man.
I have a feeling things are,
If you keep pursuing it, things will keep going.
But, I mean, Tim, thank you so much for reaching out.
Sometimes people, well, I guess how about this?
Is there a way that you want people to contact you?
Or sometimes witnesses will be like, you know what?
I'm fine just being Tim.
And you can send an email to Jeremiah and if, you know, you can always send it on or something like that.
I'll probably take that second option.
Yeah.
I'd say that's a good idea.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's, I'm not going to be specific about where a property is either because,
exactly.
You know, the worst thing, the worst thing would be people out there with, you know, an amplifying system.
Howls and roars into the wood.
It's a quiet, it's such a quiet place.
It's far off from any highways.
It's, it's miles down a quiet road.
It's, you know, not on any airplane paths.
So it's like the quietest sleep you'll ever get until you hear something mysterious in the woods.
Absolutely.
Well, Tim, I appreciate you coming on the podcast and reaching out to me.
And please feel free to reach out at any future time if you have other things to update us with.
