Bigfoot Society - Oregon Mom Tries 911 as Knocking Closes In From Both Sides
Episode Date: October 16, 2026An Oregon mother tried calling 911 as mysterious knocking moved closer from two directions. Her children were beside her. A tree whipped back and forth in the nearby thicket. Then they spotted a large..., dark shape—and her phone had no signal. In Bigfoot Society Episode 1220, Katrina shares the coastal forest encounter that left her family scrambling for a way out. What began as a hike and picnic became an experience she still struggles to recount. Weeks later, a conversation in a local shop raised even more questions about that stretch of woods.More witnesses share unsettling experiences: two sisters hear guttural voices as something bangs against and rocks their trailer; a Mississippi woman watches a huge, shaggy figure move behind her neighbor’s home; an Oklahoma camper feels something press against his head while he sleeps; and a Washington hunter hears an unfamiliar howl near Little Naches.Get the free Bigfoot hotspots report: https://bit.ly/bfsreport📖 Follow Jeremiah's cancer health updates here:https://www.caringbridge.org/site/569ef3d3-68be-11f1-8790-97fdfd2bbc64🗣️ Share Your StoryHad a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience?Send it to bigfootsociety@gmail.com – your story might be featured on the show!🎥 Watch & Subscribe on YouTube🔴 Subscribe here → Bigfoot Society YouTube💬 Leave a comment & let us know your thoughts!📞 Leave a voicemail with your story → Speakpipe (Use multiple voicemails if needed)👥 Share this episode → Watch & Share🎧 More episodes → Podcast Playlist🌲 Recommended: New Jersey Bigfoot Encounters💥 Support the Show & Get Perks✅ Join the community on Supercast – Become a Member✅ Listen ad-free & early on YouTube – Join Here📱 Let’s ConnectInstagram: @bigfootsocietyTwitter: @bigfoot_societyTikTok: @bigfoot.society🧰 Tools & Partners I Use (Affiliate Links)These help support the show at no extra cost to you:Beam (Better Sleep): Try BeamWildgrain (Better Bread): Join HereSeed (Probiotics): Get SeedMedi-Share (Healthcare): Learn MoreLMNT (Electrolytes) Free Sample Pack with your first purchase! : Get LMNTOrganic and non-GMO groceries delivered for lesshttp://thrv.me/uarEhS🎙️ Podcasting Tools:Repurpose.io: Try ItDescript: Sign UpStreamyard: Start RecordingRiverside.fm: Try Riverside🎧 My Audio Interface: View on Amazon☕ Buy Me a Coffee – Support Here🛍️ Grab Some Merch – Shop on Etsy📬 Mailing Address:Bigfoot Society125 E 1st St. #233Earlham, IA 50072

You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible.
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
These are the voices of the people who've lived it, so settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer.
For more updates about his medical journey, please go to the Caring Bridge link in the show notes.
Thank you.
Hey, Aaron.
This is Jeremiah.
It sounds like you've had some really interesting things happen down to Kaimichis.
Go right ahead, man.
Yeah, we were camping out there probably a couple years ago, and I had a friend of mine in his tent with his kids.
And I was sleeping to my tent.
I know I was snoring probably and I was laying on my back and all the something, something
just kind of pressed on my head and I was like, oh, that's weird.
And I just kind of pushed it off and went back to sleep.
And then I asked my buddy in the morning, I said, hey, were you tapping on my head in the morning
as I was snoring?
He goes, no, I sure didn't.
And his place was probably about 50 feet away from mine.
And it just kind of freaked me out a little bit.
I was like, man, you know, what would do that in the middle of the night, probably two
three in the morning and he'd always said he's captain in the marine corps and he kind of knew the
area pretty good and he goes yeah i had uh i'd always heard that the uh saskatch and the bigfoot was
around that area quite a bit and i just kind of blew it off because i thought he was just pulling my leg
and come to find out it's it's pretty prevalent up there you hear people talk about it all the time
oh yeah absolutely i mean the kain niches uh are in area that is very they're very well known in the
Bigfoot community for a few different reasons. But yeah, the encounters that happen in that
area, in the research that is happening current day, and for the last 20 years, is very, very intense.
So you are definitely in the thick of it. Are you a researcher then?
No, I just, I've got some land up there. It's close to Sardis Lake. Sardis is north of me.
Yep. And then I bought some land through a place off of eBay, and I've got about 19 acres.
and I've been up there quite a few times, and after that little encounter, it just seems pretty eerie.
I'm very watchful, and make sure I carry a firearm with me all the time now.
But, you know, just some of the things that kind of go on up there, some of my stuff is messed with sometimes, my camper and my feeder.
And, you know, it's not normally stuff that there are bears up there, but, you know, none of those things I don't think I've seen other than, you know, my little encounter.
but it's pretty kind of scary.
Have you ever seen any like tracks on the ground around your property or anything like that?
You know, just the way some of things are messed with, I really, there's like a big place called Maxwell Creek and it's wet and muddy sometimes.
And I'll definitely pay attention more next time when I'm there.
But, you know, just the way things are messed with sometimes.
And I've seen a few things kind of off in the blurry distance of my dear cameras and stuff.
stuff. I've got a few deer cameras up there, and I'm definitely going to go up there probably
this next weekend and check them. But if I get anything, I'll get a hold of you and let you see
because I've seen things on my deer camera that just kind of don't add up. It's just kind of a blurry
thing off in the distance, and it's not a bear. You can tell it's different. That is incredible.
Do you ever hear any sounds out there that just don't quite belong or they sound out of the ordinary?
I do. There's, you know, we've got a few hogs, but not very many, and bears and stuff don't really make noise that I've noticed. But, you know, y'all hear some like hollering and stuff. And I've owned the land probably 12 years, and I've only seen about three people. So it's not like there's, there's probably two or three cabins in the whole four or five hundred acres that I, that I'm around. So it's, I don't think it's people. It's just, you know, you kind of hear things crunching in the thing. And, you know, you know, you know,
You look around and it's like heavy crunching and breathing and stuff.
And I do have a picture of a bear on my deer camera,
but it's definitely nothing that, you know,
kind of coordinates with the same kind of thing you're talking about.
Yeah, absolutely.
Are you doing any brush clearing on your property lately?
I have in the past,
and we're going to rent a dozer to kind of clear some area.
And I'm probably going to get a little more, you know,
advance with my deer camera.
I've been trying to put one that will send me pick
pictures, but there's just no cell service up there.
You know, but I do.
In fact, like I said, I'm going this weekend to check my dear camera out just to see if I've got anything because I've got three or four.
So, well, I'll tell you, once, just as this is just based off of what, you know, I've talked to people for a few years now.
Once you start messing around with that dozer and clearing stuff, you need to be ready for stuff to happen.
Right.
Um, that when when people start, you know, clearing brush or doing stuff like that, uh,
that's when you have the, the possibility of, of some real wild interactions or like,
you know, slapping the side of the house or, uh, just, uh, getting really close to, to the house as well.
So, um, that, thank you for, for sharing what you've experienced so far.
Definitely, uh, my email's right there on screen.
It's, uh, Bigfoot Society at gmail.com.
I followed this.
Yeah, I'd love to hear in the future if you start to have more things happen or if you see things, even if it's like trail cam photos, we're like, well, you know, it's kind of weird.
You know, feel free to send them.
I'd love to take a look.
I definitely will.
Awesome.
Thank you.
Yes, sir.
Thank you.
Thanks for coming up.
Hey, Mark.
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society.
What did you experience up there?
You heard some weird vocalizations?
So we were at camp.
It was Labor Day.
weekend. I think that was three weeks ago. I can't remember time goes so fast now.
We're having little net cheese, which is not too far from the bumping area, which is everybody
knows is a pretty hot area around here. And we were just around camp just after dark.
And I wasn't really paying attention. And then I can't remember if it was my wife or one of my
buddies says, what kind of animal is that? And I start listening. And I'm like, holy crap, that's the
sound that I hear all the time that people say is Sasquatch.
And I start listening and it sounded just like the long, I can't do it.
Yep.
The long, I pitched that chain then kind of gets low as it slows down.
I was like, you gotta be kidding me.
They're all looking at me because they all know I'm, I like Bigfoot and they all kind
of think it's funny, whatever.
They give me crap.
I saw Bigfoot.
I saw Bigfoot when we're up in the woods.
but they're looking at me like, are you serious?
I was like, that is exactly the sound that I hear all the time on my videos that they say is Sasquatch.
Wow.
Because it doesn't sound like any.
I've been, you know, I hunt and all that for years.
I've been going in the cascades for a lot of years.
I have never heard any animal sounds like that before.
That's pretty wild.
And I'm looking at the map right now.
it doesn't look like it's extremely close to bumping.
Well, so the road, you come up 410, Highway 410,
and you from Yakima, which is the eastern, more middle,
eastern middle side, part of Washington.
So you're going west on 410 towards Seattle area.
And Little Nat's, the turnoff is a mile or two, maybe three,
before you take a left to go to bumping.
So in a mountains aspect, it is pretty close.
Not like really close, but in being talking statewide, it's just the turnoff to go to bumping is right up the road from the turnoff to go where I was at.
Interesting.
The only thing I've heard about that area is that there can be a lot of big footers so you can potentially get some like carryover from other roads.
researchers, but do you think there's a possibility that that could have been another human?
Man, they would have had to be one hell of an audio system.
As you could tell, it was way off, and it had some push behind it.
All right, gotcha. Yeah, that's awesome.
So there's no way a human was making that type of sound.
Unless they had a really expensive, whatever those things they used to call in coyotes and stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah, a really nice one of those, maybe.
You know, I've never seen one.
So I'm not a knower.
I'm a, how do I say it?
I'm very interested.
I hear you.
I absolutely hear you.
Have you done any research to see if there's been other sightings or things happening
in the same campground that you were in?
I've never found anything in that direct area.
Okay.
Um, I actually, you know, I haven't really, like, I haven't looked at the, what is the Bigfoot
mapping project?
What, what's that called?
FastQuash mapping project.
Uh, yeah, the Bigfoot mapping project is a good one because it's got BFRO and then it's got
other, uh, I have looked at BFRO and, and, uh, I don't remember seeing anything in that
area.
Shoot, there's one siding from back in the, I think it was the 70s, that's, uh, closer to
Yakima was on the Yakima River by the Yakima Indian Reservation back I think it was in the 70s I think early 80s 70s right off the highway
So you know I don't know how that area would be kind of rough. There's no
The area that they said it was in there's no like mount
tree area it goes through desert before it gets back to the mountains
Gotcha they call it desert it's a area area
desert I think is what they call this area sagebrush we have big areas of sagebrush
and all that down in the lower lands so it would be not to say that it couldn't
happen but it would be harder for a Sasquarts to get to that area from from
the thick woods it's about an hour drive from the thick woods is probably about an
hour drive from where that sighting was reported so I never know you never know
that's the thing you just have to be out there out in the woods and camping and
and aware of what's going on and I mean that's that's the first step so I appreciate you
coming up and sharing what you experienced out there near the bumping lake area
hey Katrina this is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society I had a terrifying when people
say they had a Bigfoot experience and it was pleasant I think that they're wrong and they
didn't have a big foot experience it was somewhere at the
I won't ever say exactly where.
But we ended up in a space that we didn't realize was closed down and off limits and just kind of wandered in there and
yeah, had a pretty terrifying experience.
Wow. Would you be able to share any details that you'd be comfortable talking about?
Yeah, so I grew up in the woods. I grew up in Oregon. Never thought a whole lot about Bigfoot.
It's sort of that local legend that nobody, everybody talks about.
My dad was a forester, and I was taught that the forest was the safest place you could be.
So I have been in the forest my whole life, have never had any experience like that.
And I took two kids, two of my children, down for a hike that day.
And we were kind of hiking down a pretty remote area.
Nobody was there.
And I kept getting a sense that something was like bias, but I couldn't see anything.
and I was slightly concerned about a cougar, but not really because I've only seen a cougar one time in the wild.
And my daughter then said, hey, something I think is following us.
So it was a little strange.
But then we went out into a big clearing area.
Everything was fine.
There was a space for kind of a big area that was open.
So we decided to have a picnic.
And we started hearing this banging coming.
And I actually had no idea of banging is associated with Bigfoot.
I just never paid attention.
And my kids were like, what is that noise?
And I was trying to figure it out.
And I couldn't identify the noise.
I was like, it's not a beaver.
It's not elk rutting.
You know, there was nothing that it made sense in my brain.
And pretty soon it started kind of from where we had came down the hill,
because we went down about a mile and a half.
There was the same knocking on that side.
And we realized that the two knocking sounds.
sounded like they were communicating like one would knock like three times and the
other one would knock a minute or two once or twice but never more than like four
times and so we were just listening to it I was like is it an echo I was really
just in my very cerebral brain trying to understand it but all of a sudden it
sounded like the noises were getting closer like it was coming both were coming
closer to us so I kind of shouted out like hello thinking maybe some of
was down there working maybe somebody didn't know we were there and we didn't want to spook them
um no response still having our picnic not concerned at this point just kind of like this is
interesting and then suddenly on uh the side where we were supposed to keep going it was so close
um i would i'm not really great with distance but um i would say maybe a half a block
and at that point there was a kind of a thick of trees and this tree
started to fleeing back and forth like it was, you know, a blade of grass almost.
And that's when I got scared.
I was like, what?
And I thought maybe a bear, but I've never, I've encountered bearer and bear run from
you in Oregon.
We don't have violent bears.
And at that point, we started smelling the smell that it smelled like wet, mossy muck is what
it smelled like just kind of funk and we were like what is going on at that point I
started to get scared it never crossed my mind big foot at that point I was just
kind of like there's something going on and we don't need to be here and I don't
know what to do because I didn't feel like I could go forward past that whatever
that was and the wood in that thicket of trees I didn't feel like I can take my
kids back the other way my kids I think were about eight and twelve at the time
long story short I still get chills telling
It's so scary. Long story short, I just kind of froze. And for the first time and only time,
in my entire life, I tried to call 911 because I was like, someone's got to get us.
Like, we don't have any way out of this. And there was no signal. But I had downloaded the
map earlier that day because we'd never been there. And when I downloaded the map, I pulled it back up.
I had it on my phone. And I saw there was like a service trail that was roughly where we were
straight up to the top where the parking lot was. So I started hunting for it. And I could kind of
see this skinny trail out. And I finally, I talked to the kids and I was like, well, we're not
going to go either one of those ways. So we're going to have to go up that trail. At that point,
the knocking is getting louder and louder and louder. And then my kids were like, look. And I didn't
see a face. I didn't see a whole thing, but it was a very large, very dark creature in this
thicket of maybe 10 to 15 kind of skinny trees. When I say skinny trees, I mean skinny Oregon
trees so like you couldn't wrap your hands around but not like dug fur trees not giant trees.
Right.
Right.
So we could just see this like darkness, this big dark shadowy thing and we were like, go now.
And so we were crying.
I still wasn't, I thought, I remember thinking this is so weird now, like it was a bear with
rabies.
I don't even know if bears get rabies, but that's the only thing that my brain could compute
because this thing was not afraid of us.
It was coming closer.
And the whacking was getting more intense.
My kids were crying.
I was crying.
And I finally said, listen, we're going to head up that trail.
And I told them, it's still so scary.
I told them that they had to go first and I was going to go last.
And that if they heard anything, they were to run as fast as they could until they hit the road.
Because I didn't know if this thing was going to come after us.
And it was when I tell you it was terrifying, it was terrifying.
And we ended up, kind of all got together.
We got up, we gathered our stuff.
We were making lots of human noises.
Nothing was persuading this thing at all.
And you could still hear the knocking coming closer
on the side we came down, but it wasn't near as close
as the one that was right there.
And I was trying not to look at it because I was just
afraid of like, what if I catch his eye?
And I invoke it like to charge us or something.
And so finally, we said,
okay, one, two, three, go. And I said, you're not going to run, but we're going to go really
quick and we're going to sing as loud as we could. We sing like every song we could remember as
loud as we could just to kind of like make noise. And we booked up that little service trail.
It was kind of overgrown. We did not care. We charged through it. What was interesting was
about a mileish somewhere in there up. All of a sudden, it didn't feel scary anymore. Like the
feeling kind of went away and we slowed down. We caught our breath. And they were like, mom,
there wasn't birds down there there was no noise and then we were like wait there was no like nothing
but we in essence at that point slowed for a second and then just ran we ran to our car we were
sobbing we were crying we bolted in the car and it was a day or two I called my dad immediately and
I was like dad what was this and he's like well I don't know and we went through all the things
because my dad's a forester so I went to my stepbrother who's a logger and has always been a
logger I was like what was this he goes oh that's big foot and I was like you're that's dumb like there's
no bigfoot. But in the lack of any other evidence, I didn't know what to think. And so I would not
go back in the forest. And so a couple weeks later, I took my kids to a shop in this area, just
kind of like a tourist shop. They had kites. And I thought, well, let's take kites down to the beach,
because that's open and surely nothing scary is there. And my kids started talking to this lady
because there was Bigfoot stuff in there. And she goes, oh, I know exactly what happened.
And she said, did you have a Bigfoot experience?
I said, no.
And my kids were like, I think we did.
And she said, let me guess.
You were in this place on, you know, and I was like, how did you know that?
And she said that it is well known in that area that there is a family that lives in there,
that there is a toddler that lives in there and that they keep it highly secret.
And she had this book with all this like pictures.
And I read like five people's stories and I freaked out because their stories,
I could have wrote them. They were like the same area, the same trails, the same thing.
And so, yeah, it was terrifying. It was awful.
Wow. Can you share what the book was?
It was just a book she had collected. She said when she bought the actual business that they said,
hey, this is a, we've collected these stories for like however many years. And so they were
like handwritten notes and letters. There was pictures in there. There was a video in there.
that she has saved on a computer and it and it's just big foot in that same not on the trail
i was on but on the road to the trail walking down the center of the road at like 5 a.m. for like
probably two minutes but they're they're very also wanting to protect that area so i don't really
say where it was i get it i totally get it yeah yeah and you could put 10 million dollars there
and i would never go again i would yet absolutely never i won't even go on the road
because I feel like that was the most.
It actually took me over a year to even go back in the woods again.
And even now, I'm spooked.
Like just recently, we were in the woods and I heard something shriek.
And it was probably a nothing.
But I was like, nope, I'm done.
I'm gone.
I don't ever want to experience anything like that again.
Yeah.
Thank you for sharing.
That's an extremely intense situation you guys were in.
And I'm glad that you got out of it.
Katrina, I know your time is limited, but thank you so much for sharing.
what you guys experienced. If you ever want to reach out directly to me, my email is
Bigfoot Society at gmail.com. Thank you. Okay, sounds good. Thank you. Hi there. I'm Jeremiah.
How's it going? It's going okay. How are you? Good, good. Yeah, if you would like to share
what you remember from that time period about what you experienced, go right ahead.
Well, when I was little, we owned property up in Flagstaff, it was called Heber at the time.
I don't know if it still called that.
When I was little, it was called Heber.
And my dad had built a cabin on some property up there.
But we also had a little trailer that was on the property because while he was building the cabin, we stayed in the trailer.
And there was a lot of pine trees there, a whole lot of pine trees.
And also I remember, I was a little.
I was probably like around eight, nine.
I was staying with my sister in the trailer,
because I don't know why we didn't sleep in the cabin.
I don't remember.
But in the middle of the night, we heard walking,
and I woke up and I woke my sister up,
and it sounded like a human with like a two feet walking.
And all of the sudden something started banging on the trailer,
on the sides of the trailer, on both sides of the trailer.
So there was more than one.
And we were scared.
They were rocking the trailer, but it sounded like they were talking.
That's why I didn't think it was a bear.
It almost sounded like guttural talk, and it stunk really bad all of a sudden.
I didn't know anything about Bigfoot when I was little, but I knew this wasn't the normal, something was wrong.
So we waited, they banged, and then they left, I guess, because I didn't actually see them, except for my sister.
looked out the window and said all she saw was like hairy chest against the window and
it was taller than the window and the windows were pretty tall so that's my story we finally
left out there as soon as the light come up we went running home or over to the cabin and
my dad came out and he went and looked and he would never talk about what he saw out there he just
said oh really that he didn't want us back in that trailer he didn't
want any of us out in the woods alone and we sold the property who makes you wonder what he had
seen that he never talked he never talked about it yeah he would never talk about it i remember him
i remember hearing him tell my mom there was blood on the trailer i don't know if when they were hitting
the trailer that they cut themselves or something and there was actually some like really big dints
with almost like they put a hole in the trailer but the the
I remember when I went out there and I was small, mind you so, but where they were hitting, the trailer was almost at the top of it.
So it wasn't like just down the side.
It was like they were hitting it from almost at the top of the trailer.
So that's, that's, like I said, I never really saw it, but I always had a feeling that that's what it was.
And, sorry, town area in the year again?
It was probably like 1980, 90, like in the 90s, and it was in Hebrew, Nevada.
Okay.
And I don't even know if they have Bigfoot up there.
I never really researched it.
But I'm just pretty sure that's what it was because my dad was all, we're out of here, not going in the woods.
We're selling.
Goodbye.
Yeah, so it was pretty quick that you sold that, or he sold that.
He was out of there.
Yeah.
He sold it within the.
next six months, which was crazy because he loved it. He built a whole cabin there and everything.
My goodness. Yeah, so something happened to get him out. But thank you for sharing that. That is a
very interesting experience, and it'll be interesting if it jogs the memory of anyone else that
listens to it. Thank you. All right. You're very welcome. Thank you. Hi, Vintage. This is Jeremiah.
It sounds like you've had some really interesting things going on on that property.
Well, can you hear me?
Yes, yes.
I moved here about seven years ago with my ex, and I'm in, say, southwest Mississippi.
There's been some sightings in this general area that I'm in and further.
west of me but either way three years ago things things just got a little
weird it was quiet here those first four years we lived here and and then in
that about the no that was like three years ago I've been here seven so
first three so whatever my math's off
Sorry.
That's all right.
I'm a little nervous talking about this because it's a very touchy subject for a lot of people and especially a lot of people where I'm at.
But either way, it started off with the coyotes.
We do have several packs of coyotes in this area.
Not, you know, nothing out of the ordinary.
but it was rather a lot of them, a lot of episodes of them, which I kind of found odd,
especially not really hearing them in those, you know, first three to four years.
And then we went from that into that into
I actually heard a couple of vocals one night out here.
It's kind of like the...
I've heard so many different types of their howls.
This was kind of like a howl, but at the end of it it had like a
woo!
At the end of it.
It was really weird.
I looked at my ex and I was like, okay, what was that?
And he's just like, I have no idea.
And either way.
So that little instance happened.
And then it happened again a couple of more times.
And this is just like over a period of time.
And I would say what I mean by a period of time,
I would say in about a.
maybe about a month and a half, two months.
And it was, it started like, I believe it was like in May,
towards the end of May and throughout June,
all of this kind of was happening.
But anyway, one evening, so there's a couple instances.
I'm just going to kind of go through, you know,
how things kind of transpired.
Absolutely.
I kind of just can probably feel like I'm jumping around, but either way, the ex comes home from work one evening, and it is like, it's dusk.
You can still see, you know, outside, but it was getting dark.
And we were talking on the cell phone, and he was like, you know, I'm about to pull up in the driveway.
and I was like, okay, so I walk out our back door and I'm here to tell you I had the biggest wall of stench I have ever smelled in my life.
I was like, you know, and I listened to all of y'all, but it never registered on me what in the world that could be.
and I mean it was just so so strong and he was pulling up as I was walking out so that was kind of odd and I just stood there
and as he was walking up I was like oh my God do you smell that and he was like yeah it's probably
the guys over in the field they've churned it up and I said no they haven't I said I'm here all day long
they haven't been out here yet.
And he goes, well, I don't know, you know, whatever.
But it was truly that, you know, that's just that skunky, like just garbage wet dog.
I mean, it was truly that combination of all of that.
And it was just like I said, like a wall of it.
and then it just kind of just dissipated.
And, you know, so if it wasn't a skunk, because if a skunk sprays, you'll smell that for a while.
So that was really odd.
I thought that was really odd that it just dissipated.
And, you know, and I'm standing here, I'm just like, well, I don't, you know, I don't, I don't smell it anymore.
And he got, you know, he was just like, whatever, I don't know, you know, we came in the house.
One night, that's another instance, one night I came out and I had several people this, you know, as far as coyotes go, do they usually triangulate?
And everybody would, we would ask me, they're like, what do you mean by triangulate?
and I'm like, would they like try angulate in an area that they're hunting?
Meaning, you know, would there be point dogs?
I'll call them dogs, whatever, you know, in certain areas to like howl back and forth to each other?
I mean, do coyotes actually do that?
Will they do that in like an area?
I know you'll have an alpha, but, you know, you'll have an alpha, but, you know, you?
I'm just curious.
Do you know what I'm referencing?
Yeah, I mean, personally, I haven't heard of coyotes doing that,
but I have heard of Bigfoot kind of triangulating from their sounds.
But coyotes, I don't have a lot of knowledge about.
That is very interesting.
This was a very interesting evening because it was like,
I mean, I live rural.
I do have close neighbors, though.
I have someone who lives across, I mean, we have like a county highway.
I'm kind of close to the highway.
I have two people who live, like, directly across the road from me.
And then on the same side of the road, I have someone who's not even, you know, 50, 60 yards from me.
So it's not like I'm sitting out here by myself.
But there's lots of land.
It's farmland. It's, you know, cattle country around here. People, you know, farm have cows and stuff. And that's what's in the big, huge field next to me on the usual. A person rents that property from someone and they put all their cows on it. And it's several, several acres back there. There's a huge pond back there. But either way, that is, that field is too, to my norton.
Okay, so the night I'm talking about it was it was like a pure triangulation. I never heard it before ever being out here. I heard the one go off to my north. Oh my gosh, you know, it sounded huge. I was like, God, you know, that thing, you know, is he really, you know, you wonder how close it is. Because this is like,
I'd say like about 1 o'clock in the morning, somewhere around there.
It was early morning.
And I had come out here on the, I'm a smoker.
I came outside to smoke a cigarette.
And he went off and I was like, oh, wow.
So I was waiting for the pat to, you know, pipe up.
That's usually when you'll hear the chirping and then they'll all get going.
But that didn't happen.
It was like that lone, you know,
know, Coyote Howell and then due east, another one went off.
And I'm talking like totally across the road way back in those woods from that, from
where that field is. You east, another one went on and I was like, okay, that's,
huh, you know, you just, I'm just sitting here thinking
what is what's that about I've still heard no chirping you know none of their barking that they start up
and about that time my due south which is way down the road another one went off and I was like
I don't know what this is or what's going on but I'm going in the house but I'm going in the house
now so I didn't stick around but it was like a perfect triangle how they had gone
off and I've asked friends you know who who's who's grown up in this area you
know I'm like do coyotes triangulate like that and they were just like well
you know yeah you could probably you know because they don't run in a pack or
whatever and I was like but there was never any chirping or barking or
anything so will they just do that well they nobody could ever give me an explanation
and especially when I gave like distances like we're talking I would say
who I mean just probably like quarter mile at least a distance between this and I'm
talking crystal clear too you could hear them just crystal clear I thought it was
just really really odd but of course we're not thinking nuts you know it's it's
just coyotes I'm okay I'll go in the house now so there was that one evening I have
two small, many snowsers and of course we, you know, bring them out their leash dogs.
That's how they were raised.
So I, the X and I bring them outside to go potty.
And he's standing on the porch at the top of the steps.
Well, I walked because he had one dog, I had the other, but he just stopped at the end of the porch.
I walked out into the yard with the other dog.
and we were standing there and all of a sudden you hear a really loud owl way back across the road from us
and I was like, ooh, I was like gosh, you know, I'm like, he's loud tonight because we do have a, we do have a, we do have a, he's a resident owl.
I'll call him. He lives in the tree across the road for me at one of the neighbors.
and then we've got a couple of barred owls out here.
And I had to learn what he was.
He kind of freaked me out one night out here.
I didn't know what it was.
Yeah, they're weird.
I had to scroll through the animal sounds and figure out what he was.
I knew some type of owl that I didn't know which one.
But, I mean, I've only seen like barn, like the true big, you know, owls.
And that's what I heard.
we heard that night, well, as we're standing there, of course, my dogs are just standing there.
And they're not doing anything.
They're just like standing at attention as to whatever direction they're looking at, you know.
And they're not moving.
And he and I are, you know, just exchanging conversation or whatever.
And then all of us, a sudden, you would have thought,
that the owl that made this sound weighed about 800 pounds and was on a megaphone with a speaker broadcasting.
My ex jumped.
I jumped up onto the porch.
And I was like, where is that thing?
I mean, it was frightening.
I have never, I mean, heard anything that loud.
and I was like, that can't be real.
That cannot be real.
And it was like, we heard the one across the road,
and then we heard the one that was over here on our side.
I don't know where, don't want to know,
but I, you know, we snatched up the dogs and went in the house.
So there was that instance.
Now, like I said, this is like progressing over about.
of five to six week period of time all of these little different things are you
know happening and and then I guess the I'll say that this the last thing that
kind of happened was me actually seeing something you know people I've told a
couple people like some in my family because we're big you know we're
there's a lot of us in my family that are big into, you know, Bigfoot.
Nobody's ever really wrong or anything.
But, you know, we listen to all you podcast guys.
And so, but either way, this was about, this was right at, you know, daybreak.
You could see, I'm sitting here on the porch with a cup of coffee.
and I have a straight line view to my neighbor across the street.
I have a straight line view to their property.
I want to see their house, everything.
Well, I'm just sitting here and I'm looking up,
and there goes my neighbor walking out across his yard.
He's not a real big guy.
He's about my size.
He's about 5'6, you know, somewhere around there, 5, 7 maybe.
Like I said, he's not a real big guy.
So, you know, you're looking at him walking out there.
And I was like, you know, golly, you know, like, what are you doing up this time of morning?
You know, and then he walked back.
Well, as soon as he got out from in the line of sight of the wood line behind their house,
something moved from behind.
behind. I still can't get this quite clear in my head because when something like this happens, you go into, what is that?
Your brain cannot comprehend exactly what you're looking at, you know. And so I'm just sitting here and I'm like, you know, what is, what is, who is that, you know?
You know, you're thinking, it's something going on.
The neighbors you don't know about, you know what I'm saying?
But as it moved, I never, the only thing, the only way I could describe what I was seeing was something that had extremely,
because I'm not thinking a Bigfoot technically.
I'm thinking it was this neighbor.
You know, you're wondering, is there an affair going on?
Just stupid like that.
You don't know what you're looking at.
Well, I mean, I knew when it moved, it was, I would say,
I don't know how to describe this.
The only way I could describe it, a woman would understand.
understand this. You know, we used to have big polo
pants that were very big legged,
you know, and very flowy.
And then the arms were like that as well.
Very, like, flowy.
But I never, when it moved and walked back
across into, there's a big drop-off back there.
And they made it into a trail on their property that they walk and ride the four-wheeler and all kind of stuff back there.
I think they own about six acres or something like that.
It's not a huge plot of land, but big enough.
But either way, when it moved, that's, you know, like I said, you're trying to comprehend what you're seeing.
And I just kept sitting here going, what is that?
What am I looking at?
And when it got to the point where I could get a line of sight for height, that was what I focused on.
It's like, you know, I know if that's not that woman next door, she's real tiny too.
I was like, that's huge.
That's really big looking, whatever that is.
Well, after sitting here and thinking about it, you know, like I said, you're in the middle of, what am I looking at?
What did I just see?
So as I'm sitting here trying to, you know, just spin that out in my head, what I was seeing, you know, I mean, I'll never forget.
what I really was seeing, I was seeing something that was the color of a, have you ever seen like a dirty cotton mop, like the old string?
Yep.
What I was seeing.
It had long hair.
That was the boxiness I was seeing.
I never saw a head.
It was like it just sloped over, like a hunchback kind of.
Because all I really technically saw was a partial side to the back.
And it happened very quickly, coarse within seconds.
It only took like two steps and it was gone visually.
I stood up, walked to the end of my porch, and was still looking, never saw it again.
But like I said, I did not need time.
I walked over to my neighbors.
It was a few days later.
And I asked them, I was like, hey, you know, do you mind if I just walk back here?
And, of course, I told the neighbor's wife what I thought I saw.
And she was like, are you serious?
And I'm like, I'm serious.
I saw something.
And I was like, I really want to walk back here and look at this.
I didn't think about footprints or anything like that.
You don't register thoughts like that when you're seeing things like this.
You're just trying to comprehend what exactly it is you're seeing.
and when I walked back there, I was like, oh, wow.
And she's like, what?
And I was like, I didn't realize this thing dropped off this low.
And she was like, well, yeah.
And I was like, who?
And she's like, what is it?
And I was like, that thing was tall.
And she's like, what do you?
I said, we walked back out.
And I was like, I hit the measure.
here and I couldn't tell you right now you know what kind of height it was I would say at
least that thing is at least about nine feet at all I mean and from the from the judge of where I
saw it and then how far that thing went down you know below where I marked it off and it was
huge too. I mean, the whole body of it was huge. I can't guess weight and all. But like I said,
it's motion. You know, what I was seeing as Palazzo and then, you know, this big belled sleeve,
you know, top is when I just really was like, that is, that is fur. What a hair. That's hair.
like dreadlocked, like hanging hair is what I'm seeing move.
But it was very fast.
And then after that,
oh, I sat on my ex came home that afternoon, that evening from work.
You know, I was just like, you know, I told him and he was just like, no.
I was like, you don't believe me?
And he's like, no, no, I don't.
I'm just like, oh.
Wow.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm like, we've had all this kind of stuff happen.
Well, then it became a joke to him, like, more or less.
He called him a different man.
And because he, our one little snowser would wake you up in the middle of the night.
And he was the one that was responsible for taking him out.
He came back in there one night and he goes, well, I heard your chicken man tonight.
And I'm like, what?
Oh, wow.
He said, yeah, I heard the chicken man tonight across the road over there.
And I was like, oh, nice.
Okay.
Thought you didn't believe me, but okay.
Now he knows.
Wow.
He would never, ever, like, say that that's what that was.
No, he, no.
He's not that.
and his chicken man.
Yes.
He just,
he did hear it.
You know,
he heard it and all of that.
So,
I mean,
it's not like,
you know,
you're oblivious to it.
He's just not looking at it as like a big fit.
That's the thought process.
Wow.
You definitely have some stuff going on.
And how long ago was that that you saw that?
That was three years ago.
Okay.
This past May, June, and ever since then, I've not heard anything else.
The only other thing, my neighbor, across the road, I go work in the state of Florida once a month.
And this was, I think, right before I had, right before I got back home for the week,
She told me that she had walked out to let her, she had the little dogs too, to let them out,
and she said it was like midnight.
And she was like, you know, she was like, I don't know, she said, I had something happened,
and I was like, well, you know, they spit it in, what is it?
You know, what's going on?
And she was just like, well, I heard something.
And I was like, you did?
And I was like, did you hear our friend?
She's like, he's not our friend.
I'm just like, well, you know what I mean?
Right.
What did you hear?
And she's like, I really don't know.
And I'm like, okay.
And she said, all I know is I was standing on the porch.
She said, I could feel this.
And I'm looking at her like, wait, what?
She's like, I could feel whatever this was was staring at me.
And I'm like, really?
And I'm over at her house, and I was like, point to where this, you're hearing what happened.
And so she points.
And it's between me and my neighbor.
She said, it came from that direction.
And I was like, okay.
I was like, so what do you hear?
What did you hear?
And she said, I can't describe it.
And I'm like, what do you mean?
She said, I've just, I've never heard anything make that sound.
And I'm like, okay, so what?
what is the sound and I'm not going to try to repeat what she did but it came it came
across as a and her description she said it was like something growled but was
very like at the end of it you know and I kind of stepped back from her
and I'm like, she goes, I, she's like, I don't know how to describe it.
She said it was indescribable.
She said, and I was like, huh, okay.
So that had happened.
Me and the ex broke up at the end of the July.
So this was probably like over into August of that year.
so and then that pretty much kind of like I said it but I really haven't had anything else
happen I mean like he left I stayed in the house I rent the house from him so but it's like
since he's left there's been nothing you know really happen I do have family and
that live two counties over for me.
Big, big plot, you know, over 100 acres.
Family member pulls up at the house, big hunter.
These, this group hunt, fish, you name it, you know.
So he pulls up.
And this is about 30 minutes before daylight.
So I'm not really quite sure of the time frame.
But this happened this summer.
Okay.
So this was odd.
They get out.
They turn.
You know, they're just standing there at their truck.
And the way he described,
it was like
how they
how I guess a lot of people
say that infrasound
hit you get
that it's like
a vibration
but what he
heard
was
the chatter
he's like I heard
two distinct
of you know
voices
and I was like, okay, what did you do?
And he was like, I was just like frozen.
He said, I could just feel it.
You could just feel every time they, you know,
when they were chattering back and forth,
he was like, I could feel it.
he said it was so loud
and I was like
so how
and of course
you know where he's pulled up
he's pulled up you know
close to the wood line
from the house
and I'm like how
how how
what kind of distance do you feel like
they were at
and he was like
you know probably about
25 yards
and I'm like wow
that's club
that's way too
close
So there's that.
Wow.
You have some really interesting stuff going on down there.
Well, it's hit or miss.
I've heard stories.
This neighbor, I've convinced her she has seen him,
but that was many, many years ago.
But it's, you know, with,
within the scope of where there have been sightings,
people just don't want to talk.
She says that her brother,
they called something that was in the woods.
They called it Rudy.
You know, anytime anything happened, you know,
people would be like, you know,
her brother would be like, oh, that's just Rudy.
Just come on out of the woods.
And I'm just like, what?
Why would they say that, you know?
Why wouldn't, you know, be like, hey, girls, you know, don't go down in there, you know, whatever.
Uh-uh-uh.
The only other thing that has happened to me, I grew up in the town where that family lives, the couple of counties over.
I grew up over there.
Well, I spent my school years there.
when I was probably about 12 right in there.
We had a pond up above behind our neighborhood that I lived in.
It was way back in the woods.
And my brothers, and I call myself having three brothers
because the kid down the street basically lived at our house.
And they would always go fish.
And my brothers were gone.
And he was at home and I come home.
Nobody's there.
So I'm like, okay, I'm going to walk up to the pond.
And Tommy's probably up there.
So I go.
I walk up there.
And it's like, it's dead quiet.
I remembered that, you know.
And it's, you know, very trailed.
You could see, you know, and especially at the time of the year.
bed of pine straw, you know, the only thing you really couldn't see was copperheads and
moccasins because they kind of disappear in pine straw, but we weren't, we weren't scared
of that. We weren't ever thinking that. And then of course as it got down to the pond,
it was like dirt and it was just a clear path. You could, you know, fish around the whole
one side of the pond. And when I got there, I'm just like, I'm looking and I see
something in the trees. There was a big steam.
of pine trees over on the other end of the pond where I'm on one side that was the
other side and I just and I stopped and I had yelled my friend's name I'd called
him and you didn't respond and I'm seeing this standing inside trees now this
kid was he was always he'd go without a shirt you know and just have on his
blue jeans or some shorts or whatever
you know and just he just walked around like that we're just a big
a bunch of rednecks and that's how we roll but either way so I'm walking down
that path and I'm still looking and I and I looked at I looked at and it was
like it kind of moved back I could all I could see was kind of like chest
which was kind of bare and I'm and I and I and I and I screamed at him that point I was
like, why won't you answer me? And then it just, it was like it disappeared. I had the biggest,
you know, the, uh, fight or flight. It was like, run. Run. And I just turned and I ran as fast as I
could all the way back home. By the time I come busting in, our back glass sliding glass doors,
here comes my friend walking in the house and I'm just screaming at him and he's like,
you need to come down. What is wrong with you? And I was just like, why did you do that to me?
Why did you do that to me? You scared me so bad. And he was just like, what are you talking about?
And I was like, you were up there at the pond. And he was like, no, I just got back from football practice.
And I was like, and I, you know, I told him, told him what happened.
And he's like, okay, I'm going back up there.
And he said, I'll go up there.
And I'll go, look.
And, of course, he did.
And I stayed at the house.
And he came back.
And he was like, there's nobody there.
And he was like, maybe it was just somebody trying to scare you.
But that's kind of where I want to put that at.
You know, that did I, I'm not saying it's for sure, but I wondered if I had actually seen one back then.
I mean, it makes sense, like, especially with, it's not just a one-time deal.
Like, you're experiencing all this, this other stuff around you and your neighbors,
and it's just all kind of coming together.
So, I mean, I like, that was like my childhood.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, right, yeah.
I mean, I'm an old lady now.
But either way.
But yeah, I mean, I've heard a couple stories from around here.
Wes had one on the, I'm not sure if you ever listen to West.
But Wes did an interview with a kid.
He was a vet.
And when he got back and he was out of the service and he walked, kind of like walk
America. Did you hear that episode? No, no, I didn't actually. Okay. It was great. It was great. He touched on
the county next door to me. He had an incident to him in the next county. So I was like,
they're here. They're just, you know, I'm sure they move around and, you know, depending on, like,
you say they're food sources, you know, all of that. Of course, this state is full of deer.
You know, right? Exactly. Yeah, down in, you said southwest Mississippi, right?
Mm-hmm. Yep. Yeah, I'm like 38 miles from the Louisiana line. Okay. Gotcha. Wow. It's an area I don't
hear a lot about, so it's good to hear this so I can have it in mind now. But,
Yeah, thank you so much for sharing all those different experiences.
Yep.
You're the first that's heard on my.
I haven't spoke to anybody else about it.
