All right, Bigfoot Society.
You've got the privilege of talking to Bill today.
Bill is a listener who reached out to me from the great state of Illinois.
He's experienced some really interesting things out there over the years.
So, Bill, welcome to the show.
How's it going?
Good.
How are you?
thank you.
We're doing good out here in Iowa.
We've got a little bit of snow on the ground, but we're making the best of it.
So, yeah, Bill, there's stuff going on in your area, current day.
I'm excited to hear what you've experienced over the years.
And then at the end, I mean, we'll talk about some stuff.
We'll talk about some stuff that's going on current day, too.
So feel free to, you know, I'm going to pass things right over to you, Bill,
and feel free to take us back to where we need to be.
Well, I'll tell you, Jeremiah, as I say, I'll tell you, I was a skeptic until 2011, May 5th to be exact, 2011.
I had my first experience here in Puerto County.
Excuse me.
And I was out, Morrell Mushroom Honey on private property.
And not too far, probably approximately about five miles from Jubilee College State Park.
I'm very aware of the property.
I've hunted there for years, deer hunted, turkey hunted, squirrel hunted.
You name it, I've done it.
Just that one day I took my lab.
She was a female dog, Labrador Retriever.
I took her with me, very obedient.
And I decided to go out to a spot that I've always hunted for years,
probably a dozen years prior to this incident.
as I was walking through, I got out of my pickup truck.
It was a nice sunny day.
It wasn't no cloud cover or anything.
And as I got in there started walking through,
my dog went ahead of me as it normally did.
And she started walking away,
and the next thing you know,
I'm looking around, I'm starting to pick up mushrooms.
And I hear a noise off to my left.
And what I mean by noise is,
this trees cracking.
I heard the leaves brushing, you know,
where someone had been walking.
And first thing comes to my mind
is maybe it's either someone in turkey hunting
or a deer running through, you know,
running through the timber, running through the brush.
I stopped, but I knew something was watching me.
I had that eerie feeling something was watching me.
Most hunters will tell you when you're in the woods,
you know, out in the timber,
if you're hunting.
Most animals, squirrels, birds,
when they see you, they'll stop.
They'll go dead silent.
That day, it was so quiet,
you could hear a pin drop.
And as I looked over to my left,
I thought I had seen something,
some movement.
I wasn't for sure.
So I act like I was pretending,
I still knew something was there.
I act like I was still going to pick up.
mushrooms. So when I kneeled down, there's an old deer trail there and I knelt down.
As I kneeled down, I was looking around trying to scout the area like, where you have? Who is it?
All of a sudden, I hear a big yell. I yelled that I've never heard in my life.
When it yelled, I kind of like, uh-oh, you know, what's just the same?
Oh, Kyle, necessarily, now ain't no human being.
And I just pretended like I was going to pick up mushrooms again.
And in my mind, I'm thinking that wasn't nobody, no man.
He couldn't yell that loud, the deepness of it.
And it scared me.
I was scared.
Then again, about maybe 10 seconds later, I heard another one.
And then I could hear trees breaking.
Branches breaking off and I could hear the footsteps.
steps. So I knew it wasn't a deer. And the second thing that come on my mind is maybe somebody's out here turkey hunting and they're running through the woods. And I spooked them or something, you know. And it ended up it wasn't bad either. As I went on hunting the mushrooms, I stopped. If I took a few steps, I could hear the brushing in the trees cracking off to my left. And when I would say approximately maybe,
I would say 40 feet maybe if that.
All of a sudden here comes my dog running back to me which are hitting her tail between her legs all the way up to her belly and her hair up from her neck all the way down to her back.
And she had her head down in a submission and she was growing and looking off to where I had heard the sounds.
And I thought, uh-oh, my dog scared something's over there. She wouldn't be doing that.
the dog came running toward me and it laid down in front of me by my feet and I told her to stay
and she was turning off, rowling toward where I was hearing the trees break and I heard the yell.
And again, I heard another yell and the dog started to bark.
And it scared me to the point where I just sat still for a few seconds and I thought,
it's going to get me. It's got me now. I have nothing on me. And my dog, I grabbed a dog
by the collar and I walked backwards. I jumped into the, put her into the passenger side pickup
that I was driving. And I was pulled on the side of the bean field. There's a little area where
the tractors go up along the fields to do the cornfields and the bean fields. And I was parked there.
So I backed up.
I went, probably, it was only probably
maybe 50 feet from
where I was parked at.
So I backed up, got the dog
in the truck, and I went to go around, and I thought,
if this thing's going to get me, it's going to get me now.
I hurried up, got in the truck,
and I got out of there as fast as I could,
have backed the truck up in reverse, got all the way
over into the other end.
I backed up about three blocks,
turned and went down the road,
And I went down on the property approximately about a mile and a half from where I was at on the opposite side of the timber.
So I thought I was safe and I was trying to get in my mind like what did I just hear and see it?
Wow, you know, and my dog wouldn't even get out of the truck. It was that scared.
And anybody that knows Peoria County or the state you can look at up or Google it, Kickapoo Creek's got trigonaries off of that.
and it's not far from the property it's on the property adjoining property I was on but there's tributaries that go off onto this property also it's not real deep probably a few inches but it's always flowing and we used to keep cattle on that side and I went over on that side I think that I would be okay and I walked down into an area heavy in thorns and brush timber
When I get down there, I see a bunch of footprints, tracts, and it goes across the creek and up a 30-foot embankment.
And there was about a four-inch tree sticking out of the side of the hill.
And it was broke freshly off, and the track looked like it took four feet across, one foot.
You could see where it went up the hill and broke the tree, and then it was gone.
That was it.
I went ahead, I just went and decided to go back to the farmhouse.
And I get out and I go to the woman that owns the property.
And she was in her mid-80s.
She was out in the lawn and she was messing with the garden.
And my nickname was called Elmer, because I'm short, and that's my nickname.
And the lady there goes, hey, Elmer, what have you been doing to my horses out here?
She said, somebody's been coming out here all week, and my horses had been jumping like you're in a rodeo.
And her name's Mildred, and I said, well, Mildred, I don't come out here at 2.30 in the morning or 12 o'clock at night or anything else.
I said, that wasn't me.
And I said, what do you mean they're acting up?
And she said, yeah, the one jumped the fence.
She said, something's been spooking them all week.
And my brother-in-law, who was a well-known tracker and hunter, his name was,
William, he was a caretaker there also, like a handyman, knowing him all my life.
And he pulled up and he goes, hey, what's going on?
He heard her asking me about the horses.
And he goes, well, I told him what had happened.
And I said, no, horses have been acting up and she thought that was me.
I said, but I want to tell you what just happened to me.
He looked at me funny.
He goes, hmm, he goes, you know, that's true.
trains, these horses have been acting up.
I wonder if they didn't,
you know, something, they didn't sense it.
And where I found the traps at, Jeremiah,
where right below where the horses walk out of the barn.
It's like a little pasture area that goes down into the creek.
And that was in 2011, May 5th, 2011 in the exact.
I'll never forget that day.
after that the next day my son-in-law who was a police officer at the time here in taswell county
he was laughing at me he was a skeptic you know and him and my older daughter decided they said well
let's go out and look at the place and I said if you go I want you to take your you know your
rifle or some kind of a weapon I won't go out without it
And we went the next day and he laughed at me and said, oh, you've seen Bigfoot.
I said, no, I don't know what it was.
So we get out to the farm.
My daughter stays up to the barn.
Me and him come in from behind where the horses were throwing a pit and jumping the fences.
We climbed the fence that go down into the area where I found the tracks originally.
Now out in the back where I had the dog, we're walking around and we see the tracks.
well there you tell me what them on and he looked at him and he goes you got me baffled he goes
I'm sorry I laughed at and he goes this ain't where you're at here there's no way he goes
there ain't no way somebody could have just walked through here bear with it and they're too big
now mind you this guy's a police officer so he had to be kind of skeptical
after that day that changed his life he's a definite believer
as recently after 2011 I hadn't been back out to the property
I went back this last April and made a little mushroom hunting with my daughter
Kim and some grandkids and thinking years later maybe you know they moved on
then I actually go in there and tell her where it happened at
We not only, I not only see them, but I also on this date, actually saw, found tree structures, more footprints, heard them, heard yells that I've never heard before, similar to the ones I heard in 2011.
And that's just then. The surrounding areas of Peoria County have multiple sightings in the last six months.
there was one in
Farmington, Illinois
Guy claims he seen one out
he actually saw
one on his property
coming away from his barn
that's in
Fulton County
also to those
just recently our footprints found
in a
state wildlife park
and I think it's
Wildlife Prairie Park
in Puyah County
not far from
where I had my experience.
I would say within 10 miles or less.
So, yeah, there's a lot of sightings in this area, Jeremiah.
Oh, absolutely.
And, you know, you had actually reached out to me the other day about that wildlife prairie
park, the footprints that were found, which I've been there multiple times.
It's a great place.
You know, people would definitely check it out if you're in the Peoria area.
but I actually reached out to the park after we had talked real quick and I got someone on the phone,
said who I was and I was interested in the tracks.
They started talking and then they're like, yeah, you need to talk to someone else.
I was like, oh, okay.
So I got, I had to contact pretty much the media department for the park.
I haven't gotten anything back yet, but I'm guessing if I'm going to, it's probably going to be this Monday when they, although, well, maybe normal business hours.
But, yeah, I thought that was interesting.
So who knows?
Well, I looked at the facts.
You know, the thing I never really thought about when I was out there this last time, Jeremiah.
I didn't know anything about making, you know, cast to the tracks.
I wish I would have done that.

They say everything happens for a reason, but I suspect everything happens for a

Did you need 15 seconds away from music or 15 seconds to eat or Reese's?
Perhaps it's true.
Everything happens for a rees.
Now, I do have pictures on my old flip-plot phone.
from years ago, the original pictures, and I have video on my phone and stuff like that today
from last year that I've never showed the public. I've never went public with it. I've never
ever, you know, tried to make any media attention or anything like that. I never done all that.
I'm sure it would have made the media, but I never wanted to do that. I was never one that
wanted to do that.
I wasn't out to make money or anything like that.
My family went to Branson, Missouri,
and anyone that's been there knows that they have a new museum,
a Bigfoot museum in a place called Beyond the Lens.
Oh, really?
And yes.
And it's got a whole display for Bigfoot, one whole section.
Signs, reports, and stuff like that from the BFR or another.
places all over the world.
My report from 2011 was in there and they seen it and said, hey, they called me and said,
they've got your report up in here.
And they put me on with the guy that owns the museum and he wanted me to come out and
down and promote a new opening.
And I didn't do that.
I said, that's not my goal.
I said, I'm not going to hear that.
But he had some interesting things there.
and we talked over the phone, you know.
But I'll tell you, like I said, I was a skeptic until that day.
Today, I'm 100% sure of what I seen, heard, and found.
Yeah, I mean, the whole area, I don't know what it is about it,
but, you know, it's probably something to do with, what is that?
Is that the Illinois River?
Yeah, there's so many sightings I've taken.
you know, some from the 70s,
north of Peoria,
northeast of Peoria,
and then there's that one that was pretty big
this within the last year where the truck driver
saw on 24, I believe it was,
and it was coming out of Banner Marsh State Fish and Wildlife Area.
And it's like you look on a map,
and it's like, you know,
you can easily draw a line where it's like coming from that area
up to Wildlife Prairie Park,
and then up to,
I mean,
just north of that
is that Jubilee College
State Park area
where there's been
other sightings up in that area
besides yours, correct?
Oh, yeah,
I know of,
the guy,
the gentleman
from Terre Haute,
Indiana,
he's passed away now.
He is my nephew's father-in-law.
And he told my nephew right out,
he said,
when he told him about me,
They were laughing, and he said, well, I'm going to tell you, he's not lying.
He goes, and I'm never going back.
He goes, you'll never get me to go back.
I saw it crossing the field.
And he goes, I know he's not lying.
And this is a very, when I say religious man, he lived seven days a week.
You know, he went to church a lot.
He was a very intelligent man, college educated, went to Indiana State University.
you know
so you know these people
are not all of them
I would say
there's a lot of fakes
in the world
or in the United States
there's a lot of them
that do get faked
I can say
yeah that's true
that's true
but I would say
what about the ones that ain't
do we just ignore those
you know I'm a firm
I know mine wasn't
there's no doubt in my mind
I would take a polygraph
on national TV
50 times and I'm convinced that I would pass it.
That's how confident that I am on what I did and what I saw.
I had no reason to fake it because I was scared to death.
I'll tell you, I know of at least two other reports.
One was by a county sheriff,
he went on and he's retired, and he told me about it.
And I'll tell you, I was told by a game warden,
that come out to the property
told him what was going on
and the experience that
not just me but several of the other people had
and this game warden had another young man
with him that he was training
and I said well I'm going to bring my nephews
and my brother and him out and let him hunt it
he said if you shoot it
his exact words
if you shoot it
we will take you
to jail and take every possession that you have.
He goes, you'll be in jail.
And you will be fine.
I said, well, how can you take me and arrest me for something that you claim doesn't
exist?
And his answer to me was, don't do it.
You know what to happen.
That puzzles me to this day.
If you don't think it exists, why would you make that kind of a statement?
I think people get that all over.
I don't think that's just me.
Was that back in 2011 that happened with the Game Warden?
Yes.
Hmm.
That's really interesting because, I mean, it's just one of those things.
It's like, you know, obviously they know what's going on.
Yeah.
Jeremiah, how could I rescue for something?
If you shoot something that you say doesn't exist, well, you know, we know there's
no bears in the area.
Now, we did have a bear, a blackbird,
I think it was in up at
Canton, Illinois, or Lewiston,
that someone spotted, and that was true.
There was one there. Where it come from?
They never said any more about it.
I don't know if it got, you know,
released from a park or
cage or something like that, or someone
just had it. Or if it wondered into that area,
I don't know. But you're not going to see
a bear here. You're not going to see elk or anything like that. What I saw, I know there was
no man that big and he couldn't move that smoothly due to the woods. I've got relatives in my
family there, 6-8, 6-9, big guys, and they're agile. They were athletes, but they couldn't
move like this. This thing made them look like little kids. I've watched sports.
all my life.
And this thing made Shatch,
if you only will look like a baby.
It would dwarfing,
just by the size,
the pure size and the weight of it.
I'm still puzzled to this day.
You know,
it still got me puzzled.
You know,
I'll never forget it.
I can't remember a lot of things,
but I can remember that like yesterday.
Oh, yeah.
I would never forget.
But, I mean, are there ways that it's affected you since you had that encounter?
Absolutely.
I don't go out into the woods by myself.
If I go, I go armed and I don't go alone.
I'm a big mushroom hunter.
I fish a lot.
I do a lot of things like that.
I used to be a big hunter.
I used to hunt deer and turkey and squirrel and rabbit and things like that.
You name it, I've done it.
I don't do that no more.
The area that I was in has gotten a lot of,
it's in what they call,
if you look in Boone and Crocket magazine,
and I think it's,
there's another one.
It's got that area at Jubilee as to triangle,
the magic triangle.
They believe that that's where the next world record
to come out of for bucks.
The property has a lot of that,
a lot of deer.
on it. My nephews and them they did hunt it.
There is a cabin on the property that's been there since about 85.
Two of my nephews told me just within the last year, they were out there going
to go deer hunting, not this year, but last October, bow hunting.
And they stayed all night in the cabin.
and they said something shook the cabin
and was throwing rocks at the cabin
and they thought somebody was playing a prank
and mind you know these guys are about 6 4, 6.5
about 280 big kids
and they had weapons on them
and they never went back
they were scared to death. They left that morning
and they never went deer hunting
that scared them so bad. It was off of Evans Mill Road
here off of Grange Hall Road.
The old Kickapool Sand and Gravel
pit off a Grange Hall
Road, not far from Jubilee College State Park.
It's down there open there.
Very remote.
I had a guy tell me
that
well, there's not enough timber in
Illinois for something like that
to survive or it would be
seen more. And I told him that's not
true. And I
actually drove out. I didn't take him
on the property, but I showed him
surrounding area.
And he'd come back and he was just in awe.
He said, you're right.
He goes, I said, let's just put it to you this way.
If I don't want you seeing me, I could wear a bright yellow jacket.
And you could take a hundred people.
And if I didn't want you to see me, you wouldn't find me.
And I said, that's a fact.
And he, he agreed with me after he's seen the area.
The guy that owned the property, he, uh, his family had it prior to him.
he had passed away
and I must say 96
and I used to go out
and help him with the cattle
and as a handyman
with my brother-in-law
and help him with that
he used to have beef cattle
Angus beef
and even then Jeremiah
all the years I was there helping
put fencing up feeding cattle
going back in there
I never had an experience by myself
but after that 2011
that changed my whole life and my own outlook on it.
You know, it's areas like this that it makes you wonder if the current day owners are still having things happen on the property.
You know, I always wonder that when I hear stories like this.
Well, I know the owner told me and William and my brother Jeff,
when he was still alive.
Even in the summer here,
anybody that knows in Peoria County
knows in June, July, and August,
it's hot, it's warm.
It doesn't get dark until right around 9 or 9.30 in the evening.
And this gentleman that owned the property,
he told us right out,
we used to go out and helping bail hay
or put pensions up or feed the cattle.
And he said,
I don't work past 5 o'clock.
My question was, why is that, Chris?
He goes, well, I don't know what's out there.
He goes, I used to find cattle all mowed up.
We were assuming years ago we used to find calves,
probably four or 500-pound calves that were ripped apart,
we was assuming that it was coyotes all them years.
And when I say probably once a month,
he would lose a calf.
and we just assumed it was coyotes.
And anybody that knows anything about coyotes, no, or even coy dogs, usually are a cat.
They will eat from the belly out.
And you'll see some kind of evidence of where tracks or something in that nature to where you could see what they ripped it, you know, ripped them open.
These didn't have that.
The calves would be ripped their head.
would be separated from the whole body.
Legs would be different.
And testings would be laying with one part
why the head and the legs were separate from the body.
And there was no claw marks on it at all.
And at the time, I just, you know,
didn't think about it on my brother-in-all,
but we knew something was up.
But the old man would never,
he would never go out past five o'clock.
He said, I don't know what's out there.
He said, there's strange things out there that happened.
and he wouldn't do it.
He was scared to death.
And you wouldn't catch him out on a tractor or anything after 5 p.m.
This is fascinating.
So you actually saw these calves yourself?
Oh, yes, yes.
I've actually not only saw them.
I've seen more than one.
I saw probably a dozen over the years.
Now, I guess not to get overly graphic, but so you're saying the head was separated from the body.
Was it like a clean cut or was it like it had obviously been torn off the body?
It was it was torn off.
You could see that.
It looked like something just had, it'd be like you putting a tractor around and a chain around one on the neck and a chain on it and pulling it in half.
That's what it looked like.
It looked to me like it did something just took it and ripped it, just ripped it.
There was no claw marks.
I didn't see any claw marks.
We were thinking it was Kyle.
You know, and I've seen deer where they've shot in deer.
I've found deer where coyotes have gotten deer,
and you could see where they dug at it with their claws,
dig at it to get to the intestines and they will eat from that.
I'm not trying to be graphic, but they will eat from the belly out.
And you could see the teeth marks of canine in the tracks.
This had none of that.
This was nothing like that.
Was there ever a situation?
where you found one of them that had its neck broken?
Well, I found them where the head was decapitated from the body.

It's said everything happens for a reason, but maybe
everything happens for a Reesis. Take noise-canceling
headphones. Do they block hearing to heightened taste?
Hmm.
That sound seems to show.
Everything happens for a recess.
Okay.
You know, most of the time when we found them, they were like just ripped apart.
You know, it was like something just came and just ripped it apart.
And my brother-in-law even thought, you know, later on, he said, you know, all those years, you're right.
He goes, that wasn't coyotes that could have did that.
He said something had to rip them apart, and they had to be awful strong to do that.
And, you know, of course, he's passed away now, you know, but I'll tell you, it shook you up.
When you're seeing it with your own eyes, it makes you think, you know, it really opened your mind up to like, wow, you know.
Oh, absolutely.
And is this same area, is it known for any other strange things happening as well besides Bigfoot?
it? That I know of. I'm not aware of any. I'm aware of the other sightings in the area
and on the same property. If you look it up on the map, you can Google reports from the BFRO.
You'll find that reports on there until by Jubilee, but it was actually on the same property, same spot that I was on.
Okay, yeah, I see it. Pure.
County, Illinois, mushroom hunter one?
Yeah.
Yeah, and there was also a deer hunter one on there.
Okay.
He was deer hunter.
That was him.
And he didn't give full details.
He didn't want the media to the hounding.
He didn't want the, you know, people criticizing him or, you know, things like that.
But he did give it, and I tell you, he did the report to a guy named Stan Courtney in Southern Illinois.
Mm-hmm.
I actually never called Stan.
It was like an older daughter and her husband that called him.
Those of you who Stan is.
He's a Bigfoot Research Organization gentleman for Southern Illinois.
He lives down by Shawnee National Park in Southern Illinois.
He called me up and did a little bit of an interview over the phone,
but I didn't give him all the details.
I was still in shock.
be honest with you.
Absolutely.
You know, to this day, I'm still, it still baffles my mind.
Like, you know, what was it?
You know, I'm still curious, what was it?
You know.
Yeah, just to, so just to talk about Stan Courtney for a minute.
Stan Courtney is a, he's got a great website, stancourtney.com, and he has so many, I mean,
he's the Illinois Bigfoot guy.
He's got so many reports on there.
but also he has an incredible page that has, I would just, I would say easy two to 300 Bigfoot sounds to download and listen to from Illinois.
And it is absolutely wild.
So, you know, I'll have that in the show notes.
People need to check that out, especially if you are interested in Illinois Bigfoot.
but I have tried to talk to Stan many a time,
not been able to come to go through.
So if anyone listening has a pretty good connection to Stan
and wants to reach out for me, feel free to do so.
One thing I would say, too, to let you know what is to, Jeremiah.
On that day in 2011, I'll tell you, I got
The mindset, I think it was playing with me.
Be honest with you.
When I'd say playing with me,
it was trying to manipulate the movements.
If I took a few steps forward or backwards,
you could hear it move.
If I stopped, it would stop.
I think it was playing with me.
Do I think it could have, was it going to harm me?
It didn't.
It could have.
I think if it wanted me, it could have got me.
There's no doubt in my mind.
It could have had me.
But it didn't do that.
So I don't know if they're violent.
I've never heard of them being that way.
At least that day with me, it didn't.
Could it have?
It could have easily got me.
If it wanted me, it could have got me.
There's no doubt in my mind.
But when I went back there just last year,
it was at the same time of the year right around April, May.
I wonder,
if Jeremiah, if there is,
isn't something to that pattern of them using the creek beds because all the tracks that I found
were all on the creek bed. I think they're using it as their pathway to go from area to area.
That's my, I could be wrong, but I think that's what I've seen.
No, I mean, it makes perfect sense. That's something that you hear a lot. And also, you know,
if you're looking for a good area, you know, make sure there's a water source or a creek or a river or especially creek or river that has been to it.
Seems like that's a commonality too.
If you look around all over the country, and I've been out west, I just came back from Northern California.
Okay.
My daughter used to live out there.
And I've been to Shasta National Park, and I've been to the Sands Flats.
National Park. I've been all over out there and I've seen the, you know, I've seen bear and I've been around that stuff all my life. I did gold panning and prospecting out there. And I've got pictures and video to prove that. So I'm very knowledgeable about the outdoors. Anybody that knows anything about deer hunting and would tell you, if you shoot a deer and it don't die right away, he'll run the water to lick water, he'll lay in the sand and mud.
and try to patch that hole.
He'll stop the bleeding.
I'll tell you that I think whatever this is,
big foot,
Sasquots, whatever you want to call it,
whatever it is, it has to have water.
We know that.
If it's a living, breathing animal or bipedal animal,
whatever it is, it has to have water.
And I believe I'm convinced that I could go out there today
and I can find new tracks.
I'm convinced to that today, but I would never go by myself.
That's how scared I am.
I wouldn't do it on a broad night, night, sunny day.
But I'm convinced that sooner or later, it's got to come out.
I'm sure there's going to be somebody hunting or something that someone's going to get one in this area.
I think Peoria County and the surrounding area is one of the most hottest spots for Southwarks or Bigfoot.
recently
I would say
one of the top three in the nation
if not top two
there's a lot going on
there's and there's people that are
talking to me that
are off record too
about Peoria County that
just do not want anything
I mean
I'm probably
yeah there's
more than is documented
that's going on in this area in recent years and also in not so recent years.
It's just I don't know what it is about the area,
but there's a lot of Bigfoot sightings and encounters in the Peoria County
in this area where you had a encounter as well.
And, you know, the crazy thing is like if you look at it on a map,
it's not that far away from southeast Iowa, which, you know, I'm from Iowa.
there's and that's where all the, well, most of the action is for Iowa.
Is that southeast corner?
I mean, that's less than two and a half hours away from.
Well, I think you, Iowa, too.
And I tell you, Jeremiah, as you know, you're from Iowa.
A lot of people got just misunderstanding that.
Iowa and Illinois don't have the timber to come, you know, have something like that, you know, survive.
But that's simply not true.
In fact, that's the opposite.
of what I know.
You could go in southeast Iowa over there by,
I'm trying to think of that.
Is it Burlington and down just east of that?
And I'll tell you, you go along there,
take if you don't believe it,
if anybody out there is a skeptic doesn't believe that,
just take a ride going through Burlington
or from Illinois to there, go down in that area.
I guarantee you you don't change your mind
when you ride through there.
Look at the brush and the timber.
It goes for miles.
Oh, yeah.
You could go for miles, you know, and it could, I'll tell you, anything that's going there.
If you don't want to be found, like I said, you can go out here in Peoria County,
and I could wear a bright yellow jacket.
You could send a thousand people in there.
And if I don't want them to find me, they'd never find me unless I wanted to be found.
That's how thick it is.
You know, and if I can do that, what makes you think an animal,
that's been out there every day and, you know,
knows the outdoors that's got a better sense of smell,
direction,
eyesight, hearing,
you know,
they know,
and they know the area,
you know,
and I'm convinced to that.
But one thing I want to say to all the listeners,
I really appreciate you
in your show because it brings this stuff to light,
that brings more information out than a lot of the other ones that I've ever heard.
I've got to be honest.
And I enjoy your show, really enjoy talking to you,
and I think you're more informative than any of them that I've ever listened to.
Well, you know, Bill, I appreciate that.
At the end of the day, I try to make something that I would like to listen to myself.
And, you know, I, there's at any given time, Bill,
there are people reaching out all day long.
There are so many accounts that need to be shared and people that need to be reached out to.
And, you know, some of them end up not coming on, but, you know, the ones that do, I am super thankful for them, like yourself, being able to come on and to share what you experienced.
And it helps other people.
It helps other listeners make connections to what's going on in their encounters.
as well.
But, you know, I have to ask you, based on what you experienced that day, how would you,
would you be able to categorize what Bigfoot is?
Is it something more ape-like or human-like or something completely different?
Well, from what I've seen back in April, the one that I'd seen back last April,
it was about eight and a half to nine feet tall,
easily 800 pounds.
That's a guess, it's a guess,
give or take, you know, on the weight,
but the height, I'm pretty convinced
that it was easily over 8 feet, easily.
I would, I'll tell you,
I just wonder if it ain't some kind of,
like a giganticus, something similar
that we just haven't discovered yet.
it's got to have some kind of human gene in it
is it human no it's definitely not human
but when I mean it's got terroristics
as something like the walking on two feet the way it ran
the way it moved and it moves smoothly through the woods
I've seen it go up a hill and up and over
and it moved through like nothing and very intelligent
I don't know what it is.
I don't want to say something that I don't know.
I don't want to lie and say this or that because I'm not sure.
I will say it's highly intelligent, very fast, very smooth moving.
And I would say if it wanted to get you, it could.
I think it could do a lot of damage to any human being if it really wanted to.
I don't know if anybody actually being killed by them or harmed, maybe rocks thrown or maybe a tree being knocked on or something like that.
If there's reports of anything else, I've never heard of that.
I know that day that I've seen it on multiple occasions out there, I felt that it could have gotten me if it wanted me.
There was nothing I could have done.
You ain't going to find a grizzly bear off with a stick.
You know, I feel that this was way bigger than that, you know.
And I've seen grizzly bears, you know, and I'll tell you, just making a grizzly bear look small.
Oh, absolutely.
From what I hear, you're absolutely right.
But you had mentioned that you went out to the Shasta area.
And just on a side, did you have anything weird or out of the ordinary happen when you're out in that Shasta area?
No.
I didn't experience anything like that.
You know, I've talked to a few guys that were there.
You know, they were sitting alongside one of the trails there.
And me and my daughter and their grandkids were walking.
And we were looking at the scenery, and it is beautiful out there.
The scenery is beautiful.
I, you know, growing up my experience old guy, and he was talking to me,
and we were talking about gold panning.
told him where I was from, told him about my experience.
And he goes, there's a lot of sightings out here, more to get them gets reported.
That was his words.
And I said, oh, really?
And he said, yeah.
And I said, well, I've never seen nothing out here, but I'm sure they're out here,
and miss her.
He said, look around you.
He said, you think you couldn't, you know, you could get lost out here.
And he goes, my advice for you, stay on the trails and don't go wrong.
I thought, well, that was weird, you know.
But then we left, but I never did ever have the experience out there that I had here.
I can't say I did.
I don't know if you're familiar with Northern California there and just in between Lake Tahoe and Reno.
There was a place called Coal Pats.
Okay.
I was on what they called a Bear River, Pan.
and I've got videos and pictures of that
and I've had people up in there
tell me that they've had sightings even when I was there
but I never had none
and if you've been at that area
very beautiful, the scenery or just blow your mind
and when I was here at Cannes
I talked to people there
and there was a lot of people telling
that they've had their stories about
sightings and stuff there
you know everybody can't be lying you know there is people that probably made some stories up
or lied or you know there could be fake tracks and all that stuff and i'm one that i say yeah that's
true but what about the other ones that aren't you know well you can't say all of them fake
and there's too many instances on some of the stories that i've heard that match 100% of what
happened to me. So I know they're not lying. I sit and I listen and I'll tell you, some are so
accurate to everything that happened to me, the sounds, the way they ran, their looks. And from what I've
seen as far as the fur on them, the closest thing I could think of what the fur that I've seen on
them were close to an orangutan. Oh, really? Yes. It wasn't all dark, black.
The course it was running up the hill, it had it back to me.
I didn't see, you know, how they'll have a lump on the back of her neck.
It seemed like a solid muscle.
And you could see it moving.
I mean, I was only probably 60 yards from it.
And I could tell you this.
You could see the muscles moving.
It had the colors of more closer to an orangutan than anything I've ever seen.
I've seen gorillas in the Henry Doerly Zoo.
that's in Omaha, Nebraska.
Absolutely, yep.
Great zero.
I've been there a dozen times and I've seen them and they're big.
You can walk up to the glass and see the actual size and they're pretty good size.
This was at least double that.
And the colors weren't the same as an ape or gorilla.
They were, they're dark.
They were dark.
The face was dark, you know, on the gorilla.
I couldn't see the face on this, but I could tell you from the back.
It was more of a reddish brown, that color.
Fascinating stuff.
Bill, thank you for coming on the show and for sharing what you experienced back in 2011.
