Bigfoot Society - Retired Army Medic Encounters Something Watching Him In The Missouri Ozarks

Episode Date: January 5, 2026

In this episode of Bigfoot Society, a retired U.S. Army combat medic shares a chilling firsthand account of unexplained activity deep in the Missouri Ozarks. After moving to a remote area near Shannon... County and the Jacks Fork River, he begins experiencing aggressive dog reactions, terrifying guttural growls, tree snaps, clicking sounds, and the unmistakable feeling of being watched. What makes this encounter different is the evidence. The witness recorded audio and video capturing growls, huffing sounds, rapid movement through the woods, and a late-night shotgun blast from a nearby property as something barreled through the valley. He also describes finding footprints, knuckle prints, twisted trees, and a possible kill site, all within a known Ozarks hotspot for Bigfoot activity. The discussion explores months of escalating encounters, interactions with neighbors, and communications with Missouri conservation and DNR personnel, along with why the witness ultimately left the area. This episode dives into the realities of living in remote wilderness, the dangers of unexplained wildlife encounters, and why the Missouri Ozarks continue to produce some of the most compelling Bigfoot reports in the country.🗣️ Share Your StoryHad a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience?Send it to bigfootsociety@gmail.com – your story might be featured on the show!🎥 Watch & Subscribe on YouTube🔴 Subscribe here → Bigfoot Society YouTube💬 Leave a comment & let us know your thoughts!📞 Leave a voicemail with your story → Speakpipe (Use multiple voicemails if needed)👥 Share this episode → Watch & Share🎧 More episodes → Podcast Playlist🌲 Recommended: New Jersey Bigfoot Encounters💥 Support the Show & Get Perks✅ Join the community on Supercast – Become a Member✅ Listen ad-free & early on YouTube – Join Here📱 Let’s ConnectInstagram: @bigfootsocietyTwitter: @bigfoot_societyTikTok: @bigfoot.society🧰 Tools & Partners I Use (Affiliate Links)These help support the show at no extra cost to you:Beam (Better Sleep): Try BeamWildgrain (Better Bread): Join HereSeed (Probiotics): Get SeedMedi-Share (Healthcare): Learn MoreLMNT (Electrolytes) Free Sample Pack with your first purchase! : Get LMNTOrganic and non-GMO groceries delivered for lesshttp://thrv.me/uarEhS🎙️ Podcasting Tools:Repurpose.io: Try ItDescript: Sign UpStreamyard: Start RecordingRiverside.fm: Try Riverside🎧 My Audio Interface: View on Amazon☕ Buy Me a Coffee – Support Here🛍️ Grab Some Merch – Shop on Etsy📬 Mailing Address:Bigfoot Society125 E 1st St. #233Earlham, IA 50072

Starting point is 00:01:30 ever. So stay with us. All right, Bickfus Society. We've got the privilege of talking to Doc today. Doc is a retired Army combat medic and a retired boiler maker. So Doc, welcome to the show. You're down there in the Missouri Ozarks. How's it going today, man? Yes, sir. It's doing really well. Good weather. Absolutely. Yeah, we were talking about that before. And of course, you know, thank you first off thank you for your service over the years being in the army you're welcome it sounds like you have a lot of things to share about your time and experience in different places i want to make sure that you have the time to do so and uh and we will have a discussion about it
Starting point is 00:02:15 at at the end but you know feel free to to take us back to where you would want to start for when all these things started happening for you, Doc? Yeah, so me and my wife, we moved down here to the Ozarks in 2003, July of 2003. And we had an RV set up out here in the middle of nowhere, getting ready to homestead. And we lived out of here until about September, let me see, September 7th is whenever all this stuff kicked off. I heard a lot of dogs outside. My neighbor that was there at the time had a bunch of great Pyrenees dogs next door. And it alarmed me that they were, you know, barking so hard.
Starting point is 00:03:05 And it was about, I'd say, probably about 4 o'clock in the morning. And I went outside and I heard a howl. And it was, it wasn't a howl of a dog or anything else. And I didn't understand what it was. And I was like, man, that's really weird. So what I did was I woke back at it, right, just to see if I got a response. Of course, I heard it again, right? And I got really kind of scared a little bit. So I went inside and tried to go to bed that night. But the next day, I went to a birthday party. And the neighbors had been invited to the same party that I was at.
Starting point is 00:03:46 And they was talking about this, this hell that they had heard on their property. And I was like, oh, my gosh, I heard this. same how and I was like sitting there listening to them because I hadn't told them yet and uh they were like yeah we had our guns up you know we were ready for whatever it was it was coming up the holler you know and I was like oh well that's weird that they were doing that I heard their dogs and then I told them you know I told them the story about uh I had heard that also and uh so it all started in September and things started working their way around there on September uh 9th I uh I took a walk and I was hearing a bunch of animals.
Starting point is 00:04:27 I heard some crows and some squirrels. And it was probably about 7 o'clock in the morning. And I was hearing a lot of animals off to my left. And I was really like, oh, what is that? And I started walking just to start walking because I was a disabled. And I needed to get some exercise. So I said, okay. well, all of a sudden, all those animals stopped hollering, and I stopped and looked to my left,
Starting point is 00:04:59 and I seen something that looked kind of weird to me, so I turned my phone on and started recording. And thought I got some pretty good footage of whatever it was that I got. And on the video, you'll hear me say, you know, hey, maybe if I get this to somebody, they can analyze this, you know, and then I pretty much took off because I wouldn't go to stick around to see what it was that was sitting there. later on on like the 15th of September, about 4.30 in the morning, this is when it got real for me. I heard the same thing. Dogs outside barking, went outside, and I heard a low guttural brow that lasted for about 10 seconds along with a tree snap and some sort of clicking. It was like a pin, but it was like it stopped like it wasn't like it. it was like and then it stopped like that but um yeah and the tree snaps and uh that went on for that
Starting point is 00:05:58 long but the video that i got is split up because uh the uh i said some things to my wife was using the trailer that i really didn't i really was kind of ashamed about uh so i didn't really want to put that out to people but um so what happened was is i've got this growl and this huffing this thing's huffing away from me and these dogs are just going nuts and this thing goes flying down through the woods and goes over to down into this valley down here and there's another guy down there and you hear his dogs start barking back at him and then all of a sudden you hear a shotgun blast on the video and this is 430 in the morning you know people don't people don't shoot shotguns at 430 in the morning so evidently this thing comes flying back up to where I was at and I heard it coming
Starting point is 00:06:47 you hear in the video. I hear it coming. I'm real quiet. I don't even know if I really don't know if it knows I'm there or not, but it does that, that, that clicking sound again. And then it goes into like this, it's like taking a candy bar wrapper and just sitting there just, you know, squishing it in your hands. So, yeah, that was, I mean, that growl, if nothing else, you know, I've really been trying to get these things looked at. I mean, I don't mind if people analyze, the audio and the video that I've got. I've got, I've tried to,
Starting point is 00:07:23 I've tried to reach out to the DNR. That's a whole new, that's a whole new thing there. I've got, I've got text messages that, that the DNR sent back to me saying that, oh, it looks like a bear or a bigfoot. So I've got proof of acknowledgement from the,
Starting point is 00:07:42 from somebody in the state. I don't want to say any name or anything like that, but I know for a fact that I don't live up in that area anymore. I've had rocks thrown at me. I've been growled at more than once. And, you know, one of the things that people are telling me, you know, you need to get a, you know, you need to get a reporter. First of all, I'm not a research.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I'm just a normal guy out here trying to live and, you know, get a little bit of exercise. but the exercise that I was taking was like out in the middle of the woods and got in the hollards and stuff. So I probably shouldn't have been to doing that with the, as sick as I was at the time. But I did it anyways. And so after that, I started getting things like footprints. I had some knuckle prints that I had some knuckle prints that I had found. I did have some tree knocks on a video, but I lost the video somehow. I don't know if anybody's ever heard of a, they call it a bone yard in the national park system.
Starting point is 00:09:00 But I found a big kill site with a lot of different animals with skeletons and, you know, heads and everything laying all over the place. So I've got all this stuff. If anybody wants to come down here and walk it with me, hey, I'll be more than welcome. I mean, I'm not that guy that's telling you that I got Bigfoot on my property and we got mine speaking, everything else going on. But I can tell you exactly what I got and I can show you the proof that I have and let you be the judge of what I got going on down here. But we actually moved away from that area up there and we moved down into the foothills down closer to a hospital. So in case anything happened to me or my wife, we'd be able to get closer. to that. I had something whistle at me one night on the right before, on September 8th. I had two
Starting point is 00:09:51 branches snap. Something about those branches that sound the same. And I understand that everybody is saying, well, tree branch snap is tree branch snap. Well, something's telling me that I don't know. It's just, it's like a, you know, it's like a, every time I hear it, it's like the same thing. And I don't know if it has something to do with the tree snap or if it has something to do with something else. I don't know yet. I'm trying, I'm trying to be the, trying to sit back and and do that. But the fact, let me see what else we got, man. And I haven't had anything else happened to me since then,
Starting point is 00:10:25 other than while I was up there. I mean, when I was up there, I had all kind of, I had, I had or something going on across the valley that I've seen on, excuse me, on the tree on the ridge across the holler. And, you know, I couldn't figure that out. That was really weird because that only happened one night
Starting point is 00:10:47 and it was in the back of somebody's yard. And I don't think I could go back over there because there was a lot of, that's like we had like the Wild Wild West going on up there. Man, it really was. You talk about feral people and stuff like that. That's all up in the hall. I know exactly where they're at.
Starting point is 00:11:04 But, oh, yeah, I mean, that's really the one event that I really wanted to talk to you guys about was the time that I had from September until about February of the next year, 2003 and then 2004. It was, we had, we had mountain lion sightings up here. We had, we had wolf siding up here. I found SCAT. I didn't know if it was coyote or not. I had a hair sample that I had stuck in the bumper of my RV.
Starting point is 00:11:40 and we had real bad storm one day and the wind blew it blew it out of the hole and I never could find it. But, yeah, I mean, it's kind of hard when you got that stuff because you're like, okay, who do I give this to? You know, I don't know. I don't know Jeff Melgram or any of the big wig, you know, big foot people that can probably just hand it off to somebody to look at, you know. So I held on to it for about six months. and yeah it's uh that's uh pretty much about the only thing that i've had done and like i said i've got audio video i've got i've got uh i've got footprints uh pictures of footprints um i mean i never thought i'd be here in the ozarks i'm originally from indiana i've spent a lot of
Starting point is 00:12:30 my time in in the military and uh oh i retired from fort leavenworth um It just seems like everywhere that I go in the military, and there's always there's always something going on there with Dog Man or Bigfoot. I spent four years in Alaska, which is a whole other story. But, I mean, I spent time at Fort Campbell, over seven years of Fort Campbell, you know, LBL, Dogman and all that, yeah. Fort Leavenworth, there was an MP that saw a bipedal animal on the backside of the property on on duty one night. I mean, it just seems like now that I've, now that I'm looking back on the,
Starting point is 00:13:13 my military career and everywhere that I grew up and everything, uh, in Indiana, I've seen that there's been a lot of big foot activity. And also, uh, dog man activity. So, uh, yeah, it's, uh, it's kind of hard to, to think about that I actually had, um, these, encounters with these whatever they are things i i think i think that the video that i took was a was actually a a juvenile that was uh that was staring at me and if i i haven't sent the whole
Starting point is 00:13:52 video out it's kind of hard for me to get 54 seconds a video out on on on on facebook so if anybody has has seen any of my stuff it's just snippets of what i got and you know you hear a lot of people say, oh, it's so blurry, you know, well, yeah, the picture, it's, it's a, it's actually a screenshot of a video that I took that I blew up, I blew up the actual, you know, picture on the, on the, on the video, but the, the audios, somebody would have to actually sit down and listen to them with me, and, and, and I can explain to them a lot easier about what, uh, what I've seen and what I heard, but, uh, I mean, they're out there, man. I, I, I can, I can, I can, I'm not out there looking for them. I don't, I don't have any desire to look for them. And I would ask everybody to
Starting point is 00:14:40 be careful when they are out in the woods, especially when they're with a lot of people. And, you know, I would say if you were going to go out in the woods, I would say go out by yourself and do it at a low, low key type thing, you know, seems, seems that a lot of people that are hikers and hunters and things like that go out. But I don't know, man, I grew up. I grew up in a family that hunted all the time and 50. all the time and and I just I mean I did I did that stuff but I really didn't have any desire to do it and then when I got out when I got in the military I went to Colorado and I went to all these places and was Elkhontin and doing all these other things I just uh you know uh yeah it's not
Starting point is 00:15:22 I don't even have any desire to go in the woods even though I live in the woods it's funny but I'm right next to a county road that comes out here so I don't feel so bad I can get out and do uh go out do what I need. I'm sorry. But yeah, that's about all that I've got, Jeremiah. So I'm looking at the email that you sent me. And it's like a screenshot of a paused video, right? That's the one we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:15:52 That's the, are you talking about the text that I had with the DNR guys? I'm talking about the one where it's like I can see something that looks like a Bigfoot in it. Yeah. And it's, and it's a blurred screen. Yeah, that's a screenshot of me, me blowing up off the video. Okay. Because it's, it's like right dead center at the bottom, kind of. Do you have, do you have the screenshot of the, of the text message that I was talking back and forth to the, I don't act. I do not have that one. But I do have the screenshot, the photo or of the video. And it literally looks like.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I can see the dark shoulders and that head of something that looks, it looks like a big foot. I have a 54, I have a 54 second video of that right there. And what I think whenever I see it right toward the end of the video, like maybe five, six seconds before the end of the video, I think it moves. Now, I'll leave it up to everybody else.
Starting point is 00:16:56 But if I can get 54, if I can get 54 seconds sent to you, I will. It's on your Facebook, right? No, see, that's the whole thing I'm trying to get. I got all my stuff is on my iPhone, right? Okay. And it's inactive. So I have to transfer everything over to this phone in order to even get it out to anywhere. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Do you know what platform is the, it holds the most data to send? I mean, well, yeah, so you'd have to figure out how, big the file is and then you could do like, could it fit in an email or would you have to do like a thumb drive or, you know, that kind of deal? Well, the thing about it is is the video's 54 seconds long. Yes, I shouldn't be too big. Of what you see right there, it's 54 seconds long that I've got. It looks just like that. But it's a, oh, it's too big. I can't send it. I tried to send it over a messenger and it wouldn't send either. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Maybe what if I load it up to, uh, to YouTube? Would you be able to download it from YouTube? Uh, do you have, you'd have to have like a YouTube. If you, you'd make like a YouTube channel and then you could totally do that. I got a YouTube channel that I, well, I would have, I'll send you an email and let you know what my, my YouTube channel is. You can get on there because it's public anyways. I don't have, I've only got like two or three, two or three videos. Do you have the video of the growl and all that?
Starting point is 00:18:31 Um, no, I do. I did find on your. Facebook, there's like a five second clip of... That's that, okay, so that one right there, I have a five-minute clip of the whole, the whole, uh, event that I was trying to explain to you. Dude, it's almost, it's almost like you can see it moving. It's, it's really interesting. Yeah, I mean, oh, you're talking about the video.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Yeah, the video. Oh, I'm talking about, I think the, I think the video is very, very, uh, impressed, impressive to me, but I think the audio that I had of the growl and the tree snap and the clicking action and all that and the huffing of this animal going away from me and then coming back after it got shot at with a shotgun, because I went down there and talked, I didn't even say that. I went down and talked to that guy after all of that and he said, yeah, you know, something came barreling down through the hauler and I just started shooting, you know. And, uh, and, uh, I was like, man, and everything was being, everything was being backed up by what other people were saying, you know, with people that were having things, the same things going on with them was going on me.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Because, see, I was, I was getting out and walking every, every day. See, my property backed up to the, right below the Jacks Fork River, which is right up near Eminence, Missouri, which they've had multiple Bigfoot encounters in that area anyways. If you ever, if you get a chance, that's why I keep, that's why I keep yelling from, from, from, the rooftops about this county. Shannon County, Missouri is a hot spot for Bigfoot. Okay. I mean, it is a, if you look at Winona, there's a Bigfoot burger there where you can eat a hamburger. Nice.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And then you got eminence Missouri, and there's Sasquatch all over the place down here in this area. And I didn't come down here because of that. But when I got down here, I was like, oh, that's pretty interesting because I've gone through all this other stuff. I don't know. Hey, you know what? I think, did I send you a, did I send you a picture of something in the clouds too? Would this have been through email or how would this have been sent?
Starting point is 00:20:43 Yeah, it would have been your email. I probably found some workarounds. I probably found some workarounds in your stuff. I'm not seeing that. That's okay. Do you prefer me sending it to your email or would you? That would be the best. Yeah, in social media, stuff just gets lost.
Starting point is 00:21:03 And sometimes it's like you can't access the old messages. So email is the best, yeah. You need me to send it to you and, excuse me, over email that, right? Yeah, just Bigfoot Society at gmail.com. Yep. I mean, I hate to think, yeah, I hate that it didn't take me very long to say that. But I'm really nervous to talk in front of people. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Yeah, I mean, it's really, really hard for me. to, I mean, I'd love to tell the story. I just haven't told it to too many people, just me and my buddy. And I, you know, I tell my wife, of course, my wife thinks I'm nuts. And it's kind of funny because she was, she was right there with me when I was going through all this stuff. Oh, yeah, right. Wow. Yeah, it's just, it's, it's just amazed me because of all the things that I've got on. Dude, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I think, I think I've got either drones or, or UAPs going on on,
Starting point is 00:22:00 on some of my video, which is kind of weird. But yeah, I've got a lot of different stuff, man. I wish you, you're in Iowa too, right? I wish I wish you could come down here
Starting point is 00:22:10 and see some of the stuff I got. You don't do that kind of stuff, though, do you? Well, I do. But it's a limited travel time per year for certain reasons. Yeah, I get that.
Starting point is 00:22:25 And, man, I almost made it down there last year. And then, it was during the remember when all the fires were were going on yeah you're talking about down here in Missouri
Starting point is 00:22:40 well they were coming down from Canada and all the smoke so when I was in Oregon in July I almost got stuck in a fire and so it really like I have to deal with for a while I was dealing with a lot of like
Starting point is 00:22:59 PTSD type stuff. And it's, that's no joke. And like, it was to the point where, like, I canceled a trip to Missouri because I was like, I cannot drive on the road right now when there's smoke all around me. Like, I was, I was in a bad place, dude. Yeah. So. Yeah, I've, I spent a lot of time up in Iowa, working up in Iowa City and Keuk and all that stuff along the river. My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, yeah, everybody asked me, how do you. I, I get them off. I always say, hey, spelled the butte for me. And everybody's like, what do you mean? Spell the bug.
Starting point is 00:23:39 If you can spell Dubuque, you're all right with me, all right? So it's all right when I say it's so easy to spell that it's like, it's D, you B, you, Q, UE is what Debut. Right. The DNR text thing, have you talked to them face to face? Or is this just, yeah, what happened when you talked to them face to face and not just I didn't want to say too much about it. They pretty much told me to stand down.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Agents who are realtors do more than open doors. They analyze market trends, interest rates, comps. They can tell you about flood zones, mixed use zones, and decode acronyms like HOA, APR, MLS. They connect you to lawyers, contractors, even Phil, the Seward scope guy. They negotiate, coordinate, advocate for you, close the deal with you and hand the keys to you. They bring you home. Real Tours are members of the National Association of Realtors, right by you. No matter the occasion, snack time should be easy. That's why Skinny Popcorn keeps it light, airy and endlessly delicious. Starting point is 00:25:23 popcorn as you want. Just open the bag and enjoy. No overthinking, no tough choices. When it comes to snacking, Skinny Pop just makes sense. Deliciously popped, perfectly salted. Skinny Pop, popular for a reason. My family lives up in northern Missouri, and when I went to Missouri, when I went up there for, like, I think it was a Thanksgiving of 2023. And when I came back, you know, there was some guys that were saying,
Starting point is 00:25:50 hey, there's some people here looking for you. And I was like, oh, yeah, I said, who was it? Was it because what it was is that you've got the the scenic riverway conservation. And then you've got the Department of Natural Resources. And then you've got the U.S. forestry and everybody else around my area right there. So my property backed up to thousands and thousands and thousands of acres. And that really doesn't make any difference to me.
Starting point is 00:26:19 I'm just letting you know what the context was of where I was at and the people that I was talking to. and the guys were like, the guy was talking to on that text right there that I sent a picture of. The funny thing was is that he was saying that it looked like a bear. Well, first he said it looked like flowers. And then he said it looked like a bear. And then when he goes, or a big foot, you know. So, but all the other guys.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Oh, so I was talking about those. So anyways, I said, how many was it? He goes, well, there was three guys on ATVs and then two guys in trucks, right? So I was like, okay, so what I did was I got a hold of my buddies that were DNR guys in my area, the guys that were in charge of my area. And I said, hey, do you guys have ATVs and trucks and everything to come out and check things out? He goes, no, he goes, I have no idea what you're talking about. So the DNR guys that I was talking to, the conservation guys that I was talking to, they had no idea that somebody was up there looking for me. So I don't know what that.
Starting point is 00:27:19 I don't know if it was me talking to somebody. somebody else that actually called somebody else to, you know, to investigate what I had going on up there. Because the place where I was seeing all this stuff is not only is it public land, but you can't get there unless you go through my property to get there. Does that make sense? Oh, yeah, absolutely. You can't come from the river because it's out in the middle of nowhere. And there's no roads or anything else. You have to go through my property, through the little trail that I've got to get through to this area where I'm, where I've seen all this stuff at.
Starting point is 00:27:53 And it was just really amazing to see everything changed daily as I walked, as I walked through that same path daily for, you know, five, six months. And I just seen different things. I seen, I seen trees twisted, and I've seen footprints, and I've seen knuckle prints. And I was like, I was like, this is really weird, you know. And then I was, I was hearing this. I think my most impressive thing that, that, that I've actually captured was the growl.
Starting point is 00:28:24 I mean, if I get that to you, I'd like to send you the whole, I'd like to send you the whole, the whole videos. I can, I can do that, but I just don't, I just don't have no way to send it because I can't break it down that well. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:28:41 I've really tried to get somebody, there's a guy that was going to take the audio. And like I said, I don't mind if anybody takes the audio and, and I need to get it enhanced a little bit and kind of secluded and get those, get those growls. That growl is, I've heard those growls from about three or four different people. I don't know if you know, do you know a guy by the name of Michigan Aboriginal?
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah, yep, I've talked to him. James, James, lady. Yeah, yeah, yeah, a few years back. Yeah, so he's got some of the same, he's got some of the same, the same vocal, the same that I have. Oh, wow, that's really interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's where I found those. those growls at.
Starting point is 00:29:22 So from him and he's, yeah, go ahead. Do you still have access to this property then? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I can go through there. It's no problem. Okay. So you moved to be closer to the hospital, but you still have access to this property. Got it.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Yeah, this property is not, it's not my property, but I can still get in there because I know, I know how to get through there. It's not illegal. It's not illegal. I just know how to get through there because all those people up there, I, I was crying from the rooftops while I was up there. It's like, hey, you know, have you heard this or seen this? And they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:56 So they didn't really have anybody to talk to about it. So I was like, okay, well, I'm just going to keep my ears open. And the only reason I caught that growl and that commotion going on at 4 o'clock in the morning was because once again, I heard these dogs next door and they were like, they're great Pyrenees. Doc, you'd mention that you have had some run-ins with what you believe are feral people. Is that anything you can talk more about? Yeah, a little bit. So there's a, I guess, a coalition of people who, they actually go from place to place to place.
Starting point is 00:30:39 And I don't know. They've got they own these properties or what. But yeah, my first time up there, I mean, I'm talking about I'm out in the woods and I'm going up through there with my car. and all of a sudden in a mud hole right in front of me there's a guy laying out in the middle of a of a trail you know like a like a trail that you'd go to like if he was going down a river or something you know this this guy was laying out in the middle of the thing and I almost ran over a matter of fact the guy that I saw laying down in the mud hole had just now gotten ran over by the by the person that that I had gotten the property from before that she ran over oh my goodness But yeah, I mean, they're just, I mean, feral people. They live out in the, they live out in the boonies. They try to keep to themselves. I used to try to try to help them out as much as I could.
Starting point is 00:31:29 But when they, when you help them out, they take as much, you know, as much as they guess. I get it. So I try about to, I try not. Just all kinds of stuff. Go on, man. We've had, we've, I've had guns pulled on me. I've had, I've had people yelling, yelling at downtown that somebody was, somebody was killing somebody's kid out in the middle of the woods and I'm like, you know,
Starting point is 00:31:52 not me. I did not move down here to this place to, you know, to start a homestead to put up with things like this. So yeah, man, those people were out there. Matter of fact, when I first got up there, there wasn't anybody like up there up there. There was this one place over here to the right that had dogs and then everybody else kind of started filling in after that. Over the six months, that whole area over there. I had 33 acres and everybody else had 10.000. and 15, you know, five, whatever. But yeah, man, it's just, there's a lot of things going on out there in the woods. And I wish I could, I wish I could tell you exactly what it is.
Starting point is 00:32:28 But the only thing that I've come up with, man, really seriously. I mean, I've been, I've always been, I'm the same guy as everybody else, man. I grew up and I was born in 66. I grew up with the Bigfoot, you know, the legend of Bogie Creek. I told my wife about this last night. and, you know, I watched it at the movie theater and, you know, where I came from in Indiana, man, we thought all that stuff was real up in the Pacific Northwest, man. We're like, holy crap, they got a, they got a big foot up there. And there's, there was some, there was a thing going on back in the 70s where they was doing some commutalations to him.
Starting point is 00:33:03 We thought that was all, you know, alien, you know, derived, you know. And, but, yeah, I mean, it's just, we grew up thinking, okay, well, those people up are going through all that stuff, but we never thought about anything like that. around where we were at, you know? It sounds like it's a whole different world down there in ways I did not realize. If you go down to the area, you definitely want to be aware when you go out in the woods, it sounds like. Yeah, absolutely. You want to be with somebody that knows the area.
Starting point is 00:33:34 I truly believe that there's a wealth of stuff going on down here. It's just a matter of people coming in and see. I don't know. It's kind of funny. I don't see a lot of stuff going on. in the area. That's what I was, that's what I was trying to do. I was trying to look at online to see, you know, who was, who was, who was doing a lot of content in the Missouri area. And really not anybody, hardly anybody at all, except for, you know, some of your other guys like Miguel and, and
Starting point is 00:34:04 those guys. I don't know. Do you know, do you know a guy by the name of, do you know, have you ever heard of the Ryan files? I haven't, actually. He done a really, he done a really good, delve into the Ozark with a guy named Josh he's out of Kansas City he's a he's a folklorist and he was telling this Ryan's if you look up Ryan's files he's a he's also an Elvis impersonator
Starting point is 00:34:31 okay cool yeah yeah yeah yeah you I think you can appreciate it his name yeah Ryan if you get a chance look at Ryan's files I think I think you'd enjoy listening to that that episode anyway but yeah man I mean there's just there's a lot of things going on and you're more than welcome to come down here and and check out things i mean i can take you over there i've got a buddy over in uh um mountain grove that's got
Starting point is 00:34:57 got some got some acreage over there that he's uh he's he's seen uh some pretty wild stuff over there on his property and uh he's got he's more i'm sure he's probably more than welcome to have somebody come over and look look at him and what he's got going on over there but he's uh he's the one guy that i've i've kind of leaned on because he's uh He's the guy that I reached out to actually sketch my Bigfoot sighting. But because I already have the video and everything, you really can't see the face on the thing, I didn't want him to do a sketch of something and then put a face on it. And then it wouldn't be, you know, it wouldn't be real.
Starting point is 00:35:35 So I didn't want to do that because I didn't see the face. Right. I couldn't see anything other than the silhouette. So I didn't have him do that. but he was nice enough to at least listen to me and let me talk, and I appreciate that. Thanks a lot, Chris, Chris Miller. I don't know if anybody, I don't know if we can do that or not,
Starting point is 00:35:55 but, you know, he's a good friend of mine. He's a sketch guy, so. Nice, nice, nice. Well, Doc, I hope we can figure out how to get, you know, these photos and videos will work on it and, you know, give it your best shot. And thank you for the invite as well. I'll, maybe that'll work out someday, but I appreciate you sharing what you are experiencing down there in the Ozarks. I know it's a wild place.
Starting point is 00:36:22 There's a lot, a lot of stuff going on down there. Yeah, definitely, definitely. And I appreciate you. I appreciate you letting me come on and at least tell my story to, I'm going to get off here. I'm going to, oh, man, I forgot about this. I forgot about that. I probably sounded like this, you know. So I really, I really appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:36:41 You know, with me being retired military, you think that. I think I'd be able to speak a little bit better, but because I had my stroke, I can't speak as well, you know, when I'm telling a story about what happened to me. You know, it's kind of hard. I don't like talking about myself that much. Does that make sense? No, it totally does. On the same way, but I think you did a great job. And as we were saying before, you know, it's it's something where you wanted to make sure that this stuff was recorded and documented somewhere before, you know, no one knows how much time they have. left, right? So I want to make, I want to make sure that when I'm telling you a story about something that I have proof to back it up, and I do have proof to back it up. It's just a matter of getting out there to you. And I wasn't even, I was trying to put some stuff out on my Facebook. I had another Facebook page that I had a lot of stuff out on to, but it just seems to me like when I put my stuff out there that's real, that stuff that I went through, the AI just trumps it every time. And I'm like, man, this is wild. Nobody's getting, nobody's getting. Nobody's,
Starting point is 00:37:43 he's getting my stuff. And I'm not even worried about them seeing it. I just want somebody to see what I got going because I really truly believe that the growls that I've got are actually really, really good. And the video is pretty remarkable also when you look at it. I've got, like I said, I got 54 seconds. I'm going to try to send it through my email on my iPhone because I've got, I've got what you call it on my other phone. What do you call it? Hot spot. I've got a hot spot. I can go on my iPhone. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, I appreciate you, man. I, and don't, yeah, don't ask me what you, what I think it is because it's changed over time. Absolutely. Every time I, every time I think about Bigfoot, I change my mind about different things because I hear different things from different people that I think that I think they're telling, you know, I think they're telling a, they're telling the truth. And I think there's a spiritual, I really think there's a spiritual thing about it. And I don't know what it is yet, but I'm not. going to go to the portal section yet. But I think that it's, I think it's a blood, blood and gets animal, but I think it has some, has some spiritual things going on. Because if you can't find a body and you can't find anything other than footprints or anything else, it's left, then where are they going? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:39:04 You know, I mean, I don't think, I don't know if they're going into caves or anything like that. I don't want to make assumptions because I'm not an expert or anything, but I, I think that they're going somewhere else and I just don't know where it's at. It's the last great mystery, I think. So it's some wild stuff. Absolutely. But Doc is a pleasure chatting with you. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:39:27 I appreciate that. Have you ever heard all the accounts of Bigfoot activity around Oak Ridge, Oregon?
