And now let's get on with the show.
All right, Bigfoot Society, we've got the privilege of talking to Joe today.
Joe is an individual that reached out to me through email.
He's got some very interesting things that have happened to him over the years out there in Oregon.
I'm excited to talk to him tonight.
Joe, how's it going, man?
It's going good.
Thanks for having me.
Absolutely.
I'm excited to get right into it to talk about a area of Oregon that I love.
We were talking in the pre-show about Oak Ridge, and I think that potentially may come up as one of the locations that we're talking about.
But we're going to be bouncing around.
And I'm going to go ahead and pass things right over to you, Joe.
and thanks again for spending some time with me.
Yeah, thank you.
So I guess for a little background,
I've lived in Oregon my whole life.
And I kind of consider myself a casual adventurer.
I don't go do anything too crazy,
but I get around all, you know,
different places in Oregon and, you know,
out to the desert, out to the mountains,
out to the coast, all that kind of stuff.
And I think when I was a kid,
I was always fascinated by unexplained stuff, you know, spooky places and unexplained phenomenon.
And, you know, Bigfoot was up there.
And I was kind of just kind of treated as more of a novelty.
But sometime in my early teenage years, I was with my friend, let's call him D.
And we were watching the show.
And it was a show about Bigfoot.
And it was some like potato vision footage from the 90s, the Memorial Day footage
from, I think, Washington.
And I remember we looked at each other.
And we were like, you know, in our teenage voices,
we're like, yeah, we're going to go, we're going to go find that.
It's always just kind of been that thing in the back of our minds that,
you know, we're going to go out in the woods and find them in, you know.
But it kind of changed eventually when a couple years later,
I went on a camping trip in February
with a relative and his roommate.
And I think I was about
14 at the time.
And it was clear out.
And
we got to the spot
that's near Oak Ridge.
And it's
I want to say
it's a little ways north
and we called this spot the prairie.
And it was this kind of
up a hill
and just kind of this meadow
off a logging road
that we just kind of
decided to camp out.
Because, you know,
you know, it was cool out in the woods
and stuff and we got there a little
bit before dusk
and
we got everything set up.
And we were being,
being hooligans.
And, you know, we had a little adult beverages.
Well, started two at least.
And then it started getting dark.
And a little bit, a little bit past dark.
It was very, very quiet.
And I mean, so it's usually pretty quiet in the winter over there, it seems like.
But it was very quiet.
No birds or anything.
And we were just hanging out by the campfire.
and we heard this sound
and it was
I'm not quite sure how to describe it
it sounded like a coyote
like a single
coyote howl
but the sound didn't have
any
any of the yips that you would hear with
normal coyote calls
and it was
across it was across the meadow
and it kept
as time progressed probably about
I want to say about it a little less than an hour.
It kept getting closer and louder.
What the,
the strange thing about it is,
is that it,
it sounded the same every time.
Like it was like a recording.
Like somebody had recorded a coyote howl
and then just playing it back.
Exactly the same every time.
And so we got a little,
got a little freaky because that didn't sound right.
Because I've heard coyotes and all sorts of other critters out there.
it just sounded odd.
And after just short of an hour,
it just, as it got closer and louder,
it just stopped completely.
And at this point,
we're all kind of looking at you know, like,
well, it's kind of strange.
Well, my accomplices were a little bit old than I was.
So they were, you know,
being a little bit more macho and having more bravado.
I was, you know, I was a kid and I was a teenager.
And I was scared.
But we ended up going on a walk and following a old logging road that kind of circled to the top of this meadow.
And nothing really happened.
It was just quiet, didn't see anything, didn't hear anything.
And we're kind of just, I don't know, for lack of a better term, just trying to see what was out there and didn't see nothing.
So my relative's roommate was like, well, you know, if,
something does come by and in as he's saying that in one swift motion he pulled out a handgun
and shoots it off in the air said yeah okay you know i get the point but we go back to the campfire
and we're just you know hanging out a little while later in the evening i want to say this is probably
closer to eight or nine there was this this other noise that we started hearing and it was
was like this beeping noise like almost kind of like the some kind of like electronic beating noise
you'd hear in like a sci-fi movie or some kind of like detector or something you know very
stereotypical but it would change pitch and it would change the cadence and like i was thinking to
myself like what is that like what is what is this electronic noise i'm hearing and i don't think either
either one of the guys are messing with me.
That's not something they would do.
At least not that.
Not like that.
And over, I want to say, about a half hour, roughly,
it had made basically a half circle around us
in terms of where we were hearing it.
And then it just stops.
And I'm starting to get, like, concerned.
I'm like, is that, you know,
is that some like
Forest Ranger coming out here to bust us for
you know
underage drinking or something
or is it Bigfoot?
Is it aliens?
Is it,
you know,
a lot of things are going through my mind.
And I kind of,
I didn't really sleep that night.
I attempted to,
and we were cowboy camping.
We were on cots and sleeping bags and it was cold
and very dry.
And I can hear anything.
they would move and the only other thing i heard that night was an owl hooting probably
three in the morning after the moon came up yeah the rest of that day ended up in a nasty
little teenager hangover which was unpleasant but that's besides the point that that was really
the first time i ever had any kind of unexplained sound in the woods that like i couldn't
chalk up to the usual suspects you know deer bear whatever
And it, it's, it's stuck with me and I stood on it for years and years.
And I, a few years later, I tried to go back to find the place and I couldn't locate it.
Because at the time, you know, Google Earth and stuff like that wasn't really a thing, you know.
And this was like 2004, I want to say.
want to say. So I kind of just, you know, I was like, oh, that's a weird experience and it kind of
became one of my, you know, campfire stories in the future. And I just kind of followed that away.
But about five years later, me and some friends went out to, do you know where the coast range is?
Further west, right?
Yeah. So out in the coast range, there are some like shooting spots kind of like southwest.
of Eugene that a lot of people go to.
And we, again, in February, coincidentally enough, on a full moon, me and my friend Dee,
I mentioned earlier, and a couple of other friends decided to go up to one of these
shooting spots because we are, you know, teenagers with nothing to do.
And, you know, we go on the woods at two in the morning.
And so we go to this one spot and this spot is like a,
It's like a big gully.
And if you're facing it, you're kind of looking into it.
And on the left, an old logging road went up to a landing.
And to the right, there's another road that was very overgrown.
And that kind of skirted the middle of the goalie and went off into the hills a little bit.
So me and D grabbed our rifles.
And three of our other friends came with and we hopped over the berm.
the block of the road and walked up to this landing and we were just eating some food and hanging out
and we're there for a little bit and this this landing you can look pretty much it's right in the
middle like the side of the goalie and you can kind of survey the whole goalie from there
and at some point i don't remember who saw it first but there is this big black shadow
on the far side of the goalie and now mind you the moon
the moon was out and full, completely full this time. So it was actually quite bright out.
We didn't have any flashlights or anything, but we saw this big black thing moving up the hill.
And it wasn't really, it didn't really have much of a shape. It was, I'm not quite sure how to put it into words.
It was, it was very, very dark, but it's huge. Because they, the logging companies had logged out and replanted trees in that goalie.
And these trees were, you know, only a couple of years old.
So they were only maybe about seven feet tall, roughly, seven, eight feet tall.
They were taller than me and I'm six foot seven.
So we're watching this black mass go up the far side of the goalie.
And D, his rifle has a scope on it.
And he pulls up his rifle and he's looking through the scope.
And he's, I can see, I can see the rifle trailing it as it's going up the hill.
And he, and I asked him, was like, dude, what do you see?
He's like, I'm not sure.
It's just black.
It's like a shadow.
And I'm like, well, here, let me, let me take a look.
And sure enough, I look through the scope, it's a nine power scope.
And it's just, it's just a void.
And it's just going up the far side of the goalie.
And our,
Other friends were getting a little nervous, somebody still say.
So I said, you know, we should probably leave.
This doesn't feel right.
I'm not sure what that is.
And we got all our stuff packed up.
And right before we were about to leave, I called out to it.
I was like, hey, if you're a person, say something.
I didn't hear anything.
Well, I took my rifle up and I fired two shots in the air because I was quite nervous.
I thought it was a person or something, but
yeah, I was not sitting well with me.
So we all left, and they're all, it was, it was, everybody's quiet on the right home.
And it seemed like nobody really, at the time, it seemed like nobody really knew what to make of the situation.
Well, a while later, he discovers he lost his cell phone.
So we, I want to say about a month.
later, him and I went up there to look at that goalie during the daylight.
And I had a GPS radio.
So I started marking, I marked where the landing was.
And then he stayed up at the landing.
And I went down on the goalie, went on the far side, approximately where we saw the shadow.
And I wanted to get a distance on it.
And it was roughly, I want to say,
200 yards away from where we were.
And I was, that's when I noticed the trees were taller than I was.
They were, you know, a foot or better over me.
I was looking up at him.
I'm like, well, that's, that's strange.

It's said everything happens for a reason, but maybe everything happens for arreases.

Do they block hearing to heightened taste?
Hmm, that sound seems to show.
Everything happens for a Reese's.
And incidentally, Dee found his cell phone right about where he was observing me from.
And it still worked.
Believe it or not.
Yeah, so we never really got any answers on that.
Sometime later, Dee's mom actually used to clean house for Lee Trippett.
and she, I guess, had mentioned to him about us seeing those shadows and whatever that was up there.
And he actually offered to go out there with us and he wanted to take a look at it.
And at that time, I'm not sure how old Lee was, but he was an older guy.
He was, we took him back up to that goalie and we bushwhacked on the far side where he saw the shadows to get there instead of crossing.
down and back up. We took the road and we went there, showed him the place, took him kind of in some of
the back roads. And he, he didn't really say, he didn't really postulate too much on, you know,
what's what he saw and what we saw and what might be out there. But he's like, you know,
this is kind of some, in my opinion, at least, this is some prime bigfoot territory. And
so we just kind of, D and I just kind of shrug.
and said, okay, and we went back to, I went back and left.
So it's, it's strange because I've never really felt like, in terms of Bigfoot,
I've never really been too woo-woo about it, you know?
I've always kind of chalked it up to like, I want to say not necessarily an ape,
but some form of creature with the approximate intelligence of a human,
and the approximate intelligence of like a gorilla,
which I believe is like
roughly five times as strong as humans are.
And Lee was kind of,
on the drive home,
he was kind of getting a little woo-woo about it,
in my opinion.
I mean,
I don't judge,
people can believe what they want about
whatever critters are out there.
I'm,
you know,
I'm not here to cast judgment on that.
But it really got,
it kind of got me thinking.
And so,
over the years I was just eventually just kind of took a deep dive into
researching what other people had you know come across in terms of Bigfoot
stuff and have you ever heard of the YouTube guy he's Bob Gimlin but with a
why yes yep I'm familiar with Bob I've never talked to him but yeah yeah so I
I've been kind of watching him over the years and
all sorts of other places.
I got a little disenfranchised with the whole Bigfoot thing
after finding Bigfoot was kind of at its peak popularity.
I don't know.
It just seemed kind of silly to me.
And so I would,
anytime people think,
you know,
anytime I'd mention one of those stories or something,
people like,
oh, yeah, it's like on finding Bigfoot or something.
And I just would roll my eyes.
but at some point though
I just kind of
said whatever you know my
what I experienced were those
was that shadow Bigfoot I don't know
maybe
was that
like fake coyote howling that I heard out in the prairie
was that Bigfoot maybe
I've heard a lot of people talk about animal mimicry
and
you know things going silent in the woods
when Bigfoot's around and
things like that. But what ended up happening later, which really kind of like really kind of
set the foundation for what I believe in was once again with my friend D. We had been going up
on weekends to explore some of the old mines over by Cottage Grove. And there's this one
mind that was kind of down this snaking road on the side of a ridge and we were when was this
I want to say this is probably in like 2016 so we'd been hiking down this road for probably about
20 minutes and we came to this intersection where there is a switch back to the left but
the road, the gravel road kind of kept going,
and then stopped shortly and there was a overlook.
And I heard this noise,
and I'm not quite sure how to describe it,
that it makes sense,
but it was like a mix between like a grouse
and like a toad.
But like if you pitched it down,
so it's like right on the edge of your hearing,
kind of like a really bassy car
like driving off of the distance, you know,
and it kept making this like whooping sound for lack of a better word
kind of with a steady steady pace up until we got to it
and then it stopped and then I look back to D and I'm like
dude what is that he's like I don't know dude so we're kind of just we kind of just
stood there waiting for it to kind of resume.
And it did.
And I started walking a little bit.
Then it stopped.
And then every footstep I took, it would make the sound.
And I noticed that.
And if I walked, each foot said it made the sound.
If I stopped walking, it would stop, pause and then resume its original cadence to its
whooping.
Does that make sense?
Yes, it does.
Okay.
Yeah, I'm not quite sure how to describe how it worked, but that's the best I can do.
So we tested it.
So using hand signs, I kind of signaled to D for him to walk over to a point and then stop.
And he walked and then it whooped to each one of his footsteps.
And when he stopped walking, it stopped and resumed its original, original cadence.
And we're both kind of looking at you're like, yo, what is that?
And the strange thing is that I didn't feel afraid at the time.
I was more perplexed and curious.
I know that when a lot of people, a lot of people talk about their experiences,
they either get over, you know, super scared, overwhelming fear.
or then you feel at peace or whatever.
I just very curious about it.
And so we did this thing where we did the walking test multiple times.
And then after probably about, I don't know, 10, 20 minutes of doing that,
we kind of just looked at each other and kind of whispered and it and was like,
yeah, that's something intelligent.
That's not a grouse.
Grouse don't do that.
It's not a bull for all.
it's it's something clearly interacting with us and I was like it and I asked me I was like
it sounds like it sounds like a bullfrog and a grouse or something he's like it sounds like
trees clacking the other to me like really that doesn't that's not at all what I'm hearing
but he also just I'm pretty sure he described it as also being kind of on the edge of his hearing too
So I don't know.
We ended up saying, okay, well, we'll come back to it.
We wanted to go down the road more.
And we walked down the road a little ways.
And the only other animal we heard was a very angry bird up in a tree.
Well, out of that, it was dead silent.
And as we were walking away, we kept hearing the whooping sound.
And when we came back, it wasn't there.
and so that was almost kind of more suspicious than when we heard it the first time that it wasn't there at all
the rest of the day it was just you know we didn't see or hear anything or it was just quite up there and
we got in the car and left and yeah that was that was probably one of the more profound experiences
that i had we we ended up talking to lee again about it and we actually went to his house
to talk about it because at that time he wasn't in very good health and we kind of just relayed
the same story and it it was curious he he he turned around to me and he he looked to me dead in
the eye and said what were you doing up by the mines i don't know exploring and he he kind of had
his own theory that it was like a like a juvenile bigfoot or something that was being playful
with us. He also mentioned that they
they act strangely because according to him
he said that they can smell metal or something.
I think that's what he said. He said they can smell metal and they act
differently especially when like you're carrying like a weapon.
And when I go hiking, you know, with friends, we're usually armed, you know,
not that we're expecting any kind of like encounter to you know getting some kind of conflict with
you know a big foot or anything like that none of that mostly just like you know there's
not not very nice people out in some of those woods and you know it's precautionary and
we we also explained that to him and he he seemed kind of stumped about it
from what I understand he was pretty deep into bigfoot for a
long time. He was probably, I think it was probably in like the 70s, I think 60s or 70s he started
getting into it back in the early days. He pretty much just said that it was the, he thought it was a
juvenile. I don't know. That kind of, that whole thing left me with more questions than answers,
you know. I've never really, I haven't had any exciting, you know, visuals or any kind of
psychic conversations or anything like that. I often,
joke with people that I'm a psychic knoll. I've been to all these, you know, allegedly haunted
places, never seen a ghost, you know, nothing like that. But I don't know. It's, but that,
that last one with, with the interaction really, that's, that's what stuck with me. That interaction
would, would stick with me probably for the rest of my life. I haven't experienced anything that
weird. Kind of weird, but not, not that weird. I remember we were talking about Lee Trippett. I think
we were talking about him a while back too.
And I started to look for him because I think you had said he was like the Bigfoot guy in Eugene, Oregon area, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But you can't find a lot on him.
But I did find there's like some research library that had an interview that he did way back in 63 with Don Hunter, who was the guy who used to hang out with Renee DeHinden.
So he's definitely been into the subject for a long time.
I can't find an obituary.
I'm guessing probably, unfortunately, Lee is no longer with us,
or he'd have to be extremely old.
But I don't know.
It sounds like a very interesting character, though.
He was.
He seemed very genuine.
He asked us, we listen to Coast Coast A.m.
And at that time, it wasn't some of them that was really on my radar.
That did kind of come up a little bit later on.
But he just, he was, he was a very kind person.
He gave us a book.
And what was it called?
I want to say it was something to the effect of Sasquatch and the UFO connection
or something like that.
Does that sound familiar to you?
Was it the Sasquatch people in their interdimensional connection?
No, I know for a fact had UFO in it.
Okay, cool.
Yeah.
Interesting.
I don't know where that book ended up.
I think Dee had it, and he's moved around a couple times.
Yeah, no, Lee was a great guy, and he wasn't, at that time, after we told him about the interaction over by the minds.
Yeah, he wasn't in good health then, so, yeah, I kind of think he's probably no longer with us.
And you're right.
I can't find anything about him.
And it's unfortunate because he had some
toy that he had
that got really popular back in the 60s that he had
invented and
he had a business that was selling
those toys for a while and then eventually
it was like one of those Newton's cradle type things.
Okay, yeah, yeah.
That's cool.
I'm a little out of touch with what it is.
It's been a while since I've looked into it.
But yeah, he was making those for quite a while
and all these other companies just kind of out-competed them
because they would undercut the price,
and he just kind of gave up.
And that's when, I guess, he got into Bigfoot, from what I understand.

They say everything happens for a reason,
but I suspect everything happens for a recesses.
Like this commercial break,
did you need 15 seconds away from music?
Or 15 seconds to eat arreases?
Perhaps it's true.
Everything happens for a reases.
But yeah,
He gave us that book and it was kind of strange because I like I said, we left his house,
I think, with more questions and answers.
And ever since then, I, you know, nothing's really happened to me since then.
I mean, I go out all sorts of places.
I've been to caves down the middle of the desert with pictographs and, you know, mines and stuff like that.
It's, it's just been mainly those, those encounters.
I've had a couple minor encounters.
I saw a tree shaking violently for a couple seconds one time,
but at that time I saw that immediately spring.
Oh, look, it's a Bigfoot, you know.
But yeah, I've been on the lookout, though.
I've seen some questionable things,
but I kind of lean more towards it's probably not Bigfoot.
because I think the best way to describe my beliefs is that there's there's something out there and whether it's a hyper you know a hyper intelligent ape type critter or some kind of four spirit or some kind of alien you know I I'm not going to say I know one way or another I think that's foolish because I just don't know
But just the amount of things that people talk about that they see and interact with.
And like what we were talking about earlier about,
all the people you talked about in Oak Ridge,
that's crazy.
I didn't realize so many people had that going on up there.
I was kind of earlier, you know, earlier in my life,
I just kind of chalked Bigfoot up to, you know, campfire stories.
But, you know, it was time progressed.
I heard all the list, all those videos you put out of people's experiences around here.
And it's kind of changed my perspective on things.
Joe, it is, it is wild in that area.
And I'm not, I'm not sure why it's so wild in that area.
Maybe it's just because it's, there's a town in the middle of the forest.
And it's just surrounded by forest, right?
That might be it.
But, yeah, I mean, that, we were talking about how there's so many episodes.
the thing that would blow your mind
is if you could see all the conversations
that I'm having on the side
with people that won't even come forward anonymous
and I can't use anything,
that stuff would blow your mind
in that same area.
It's just,
there's a lot, a lot,
a lot of people having sightings,
weird stuff happen in that area.
And there's, you know,
it's weird you mentioned forest spirits.
I had this person that I was talking to once, and she was saying that she thought there were lay lines and the Bigfoot was a force beer.
She wouldn't, she wouldn't elaborate.
But is there any reason that you had brought that up or just because it's one of the prevalent ways of thinking of it?
It's kind of one of the prevalent ways of thinking about, but I've, you know, I've kind of bounced around with my own theories.
and I try to
I try to chalk things up to usually the simplest explanation is the best
you know but I like I said I just I just don't know
I'm not I try not to preclude things I try to keep an open mind about things
like I'm open minded about ghosts spirits you know aliens
like I would hate to think that we're the only sentient life in the galaxy
you know that sounds miserable honestly
but you know like I said
But I don't want to cast judgment on people who have their beliefs and stuff.
If it is a forest spirit, it's, I mean, it would make sense that it's, you know, it fits in
with a lot of the native lore in the area.
I don't think it's a coincidence that multiple cultures across the continent have a large,
hairy man that lives on the forest, you know, that they've talked, their stories that they've talked
about for thousands of years. I don't think that's a coincidence, but it's, I think the problem
with humans is that there's things that just lie on the boundaries of our knowledge that we just
probably will never figure out. And I think that whatever creature is out in the woods may be
one of those things. And I mean, I, you know, I have my questions, but although all of my experiences,
So they've been pretty docile and not really life changing per se.
And telling them over the years, it used to kind of give me the chills,
especially the one with the interactions over the minds.
But I don't know.
I don't lose sleep over it.
Like I'm comfortable knowing that I don't know.
And some people have a lot more, I guess, drive to.
figure it out but i think that whatever you know if it bigfoot's out there in the woods i i take it
more as just kind of a fact of nature you know i don't see it you know whether he's a spirit or
you know an ape or whatever it's no different than a cougar or a bear being on the woods
doing their thing you know that's that's very very interesting and the thing that i i picked up
from actually going out there and spending time is like it's obviously
a real thing or everyone in that region of the u.s is absolutely insane because everyone
is having sightings it's like and that's not the case you know what i mean like there's no way
yeah there's no way that everyone in the entire state of oregon in washington and northern
california is lying and it's just it's a different case when you get out there and then you
just spend a week talking to people all over the place
and just people come up randomly and it just, it's crazy, man.
It's amazing.
I loved it.
But spending so much time out there, were there any things?
Would you hear things over the years like Bigfoot stories that would come up every once in a while,
the same one get passed around?
Well, in terms of people I know personally or?
Well, I mean, that's a tricky thing because it's like you don't want to
tell someone's story, but then there's also things where it's like if eventually a story,
I think passes from, it happened to my buddy into an actual like legend or lore.
And I don't know if there's a certain like time frame that that takes, but it ends up
becoming a game of telephone. Yeah, there's, I can't really think of anything off the top of my head.
Um, most of the people, I mean, half of my friend group was there when I, we had our encounters.
I mean, D, he's been the persistent friend with, you know, the shadows and the whooping.
And, you know, we've, we've, we've, we've been to all sorts of places in the cascades.
It's not, I don't think it's, I know Oak Ridge is crazy, but I think, beings that there's a concentration of people right in the middle, you know,
that kind of lends to more encounters.
But a lot of the,
a lot of the cascades on the west side is just,
it's strange.
What is it,
what does it call this the Oz effect or whatever when it's dead silent in the woods?
Oh,
tell me,
tell me more about that because I think I've experienced it,
but I didn't know there was a thing for it.
I believe it's called the Oz effect or Osmond effect or something like that.
And it's just a phenomenon of when it's just completely dead silent in the woods.
no bugs, no birds, no wind, completely still, just dead silent, nothing's moving, just stagnant air.
It's crazy.
Consistently over by the mines by Cottage Grove, it's like that, almost every time I go there.
And I'm not sure why.
The place has a vibe to it.
And it's, and there's some places back in there that it's more intense than others.
In the main area, it's more subdued, but some of those, some of those trails that go off into the old mines and stuff, like it's, you'll find a cabin or something.
And it's just, it's like you're being watched, but I don't think that watch is the correct terminology.
Because watched is like somebody following you with their eyes, you know.
In this case, it feels like somebody has seen you, but they're not directly observing you.
They know you're there.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, that's very interesting.
Yeah, it's persistent over there.
It's somewhat, I've known as persistent by Oak Ridge.
There's quite a, there's a few spots I like to go up there.
I don't go to that prairie too much because they burned that off some years ago.
But I've been, I've tromped up kind of by high prairie north of town up there,
and it's over by this old railroad trestle that, I know all the locals know it,
But it was same story.
Just dead quiet there when I was there.
Completely still.
Oh, really?
Wow.
Yeah.
That's like way up on High Prairie.
Kind of.
It's, it's, it's kind of over between like High Prairie and the Huckleberry Flats.
Okay.
Gotcha.
It's, it's just a ruin of an old logging railroad trestle.
It's fall.
It's, you know, they built it in like the 1920s and it fell down like 30 years ago.
It's just, I like to go find weird like that in the woods.
which hobby of mine, I guess, but
I've noticed
I've noticed some
the silence
and
usually some kind of infrastructure
they tend to go hand in hand.
I mean this is this is kind of my own personal theory
but anywhere that there's like disturbed
earth, mines, caves,
old logging and stuff
it seems most prevalent there because I've been
to a lot of different
mining areas all over Oregon and believe it or not there was there was some prospecting up kind of
by Oak Ridge and those areas it's just it's it's strange it's a strange vibe and southern
Oregon too I think what was that guy's name you interviewed the delivery guy I think this name is
Arturo yeah Arturo it's really cool so he's a cool dude
dude oh man yeah that's that was quite a story that that second story when he was talking about
going up by the old miners and stuff that that that's something like a movie plot to me that
that that was the one i think that really convinced me to come and talk to you about things
really oh wow because i i'm 90 percent sure i know where that area is and i would totally believe
it because there's there's some there's a mining district around where he was talking about
you go up there and you'll see these trail like cell phone trail cameras and
signs and say private road looters will be shot stuff like that and like motion
detectors one time one up there there is a motion detector hidden some rocks by a tree
oh man and up the road you could see a RV with a blue tarp on it so it's that's
strange up there too but I think that's a different flavor strange
but a lot of the some of the people that you've had on I I recognize the areas that they're talking about and I can totally see it I don't remember the guy's name but he said him and his dad went to a quarry south of Oak Ridge that had a big quartz vein in it I know I I know about where that is and that's crazy I it's it's just it's baffling to me that these people are telling these stories of places I've been to and it's it's it's it's
It's strange.
It's kind of like pieces kind of moving together.
It's oddly coincidental.
It is very weird how you can talk to people.
It doesn't matter if they're really young or especially in that area.
It doesn't matter if they're really young or they're really old.
The common thread is Bigfoot in all the stories.
And it just keeps going through time.
My experiences aren't, like I said, they're not like earth-shattering.
remarkable.
You know, I don't have anything on video or any kind of wild theories or something.
It's just, I think as people put it, high strangeness, I guess.
Oh, absolutely.
And the thing is, is like, if you spend any amount of time out there,
you're going to find out pretty quick that it's not just Bigfoot.
There's definitely more to it in that whole region out there where there's other
stuff going on. I mean, the people, Steve was telling me that there's definitely some haunted
places in the town. So, you know, it's not just, not just bigfoot. There's a lot of, a lot of
weird stuff. But, I mean, you know, anything that you hear, I found is valuable because it helps
flesh out the story a little bit and helps you connect dots on things down the road. So I appreciate
