These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer.

Hi, Nurse Kathleen.
This is Jeremiah.
All right.
So what have you experienced?
It was in 2007.
I was in the Ewinter Mountains.
in Utah with my sister and we were staying in a cabin. It was like a Forest Ranger cabin that
is no longer an operation, but they use it to like rent it out for like camping and stuff.
So we were staying there and we kind of went to bed kind of early. We were actually me and her
we're pitching a tent outside the cabin.
And her husband and one of the kids was inside the cabin,
but we're sisters.
So we wanted to do sister bonding time.
There were some cows.
On the hill, there was a lot of cows.
It's like cattle country, like grazing.
Very off the beaten path, about five miles off the main.
road onto like a forest road. So very much set back and there was like hills and mountains around us.
And it wasn't until like that night, the first two nights we slept in the tent, you know, we were
just there for a couple days. First night the cows kind of died, you know, they were, you know,
kind of loud. It was kind of hard to sleep. And then around maybe 10, they kind of started to die down.
You could hear coyotes, but then a little while later it got really quiet, like dead, silent, quiet.
And we heard something very, very large.
I thought maybe a bear.
But it was really, really loud.
Like it was coming through the brush and it was almost shaking the ground.
and it sounded to me like and we were both awake that it was on two feet and then in the morning
after that we kind of we kind of like shine the flashlight and tried to look around and
you know it went away and then we finally you know went to bed and then in the morning it was like
probably about 7.30 in the morning and she was still sleeping but I was reading a book in the
tent so I was awake and I heard two loud whoops like whoop whoop and then I'll pause and another whoop
whoop and then I looked to her and she I'm like and then she kind of woke up at the last part
and I'm like I didn't really like I always kind of believed in Bigfoot but I didn't know they made
those sounds. So I was looking at her and I'm like, what, what bird makes that sound? And she's like,
I don't know. And it wasn't until I got back from our trip and did some research online and
heard the Sierra sounds recording from California that it sounded exactly like the whoops
that were in that recording. So I could have potentially had.
a big foot, you know, very close.
It sounded very close.
But I, you know, didn't look outside the tent and the morning.
I didn't think the whoops were correlated with anything.
When you got outside the next morning, when it was light out,
did you see any signs of things being messed with around the camp or any tracks or anything at that?
No, because I really wasn't thinking it was a Bigfoot at all.
I thought it was a bird.
So I wasn't like looking for, you know, we talked about the noises and stuff.
And I'm like, that was kind of, that was really loud.
And the night before we're like, that was really loud.
And it sounded like, you know, and I said that didn't sound like just like deer or anything.
I'm like maybe it was a bear.
And but it was really crashing through kind of like,
it sounded like crashing through the brush, like it sounded bipedal.
But the whoops, I didn't correlate that together.
So I wasn't looking around for like any sign of anything.
There was nothing really messed up on like we had the fire pit in our camp chairs and
all that wasn't really disturbed.
But there was like a little walkway that went over like a bridge that goes over a strain.
that's a good probably 50 feet on the other side of the stream that it might have been coming from there, you know, from that area.
It was very close.
Absolutely.
Are you able to share what part of the Uinta Mountains it was in specifically?
Yeah, it was, I put it on the BFRO website as an encounter.
It was north of Vernal, Utah.
So coming up, I forget what my actual, you know, the coordinates was.
It was, it's all on the report, but it, there's a major road that comes up from Vernal, Utah.
And that's, you know, the one we took.
And then we took a forest road off that to get to the cabin.
And it's like a forest ranger cabin that they rent out, you know.
It was just a really windy road.
And, you know, people camping on the, you know, as you start.
to go and then it forks off to the left.
And that was the only, when you're going down to the left,
that's like the only like ranger station.
We did see a cowboy go by on a horse and like he was probably part of the ranch people.
But other than that, we were only people out on that cabin.
Do you know if, did you ever look to see if there'd been any other encounters reported in the same area?
Yes, there have been.
And I think there's two others on the website, on the BFRO website anyway, above a similar area.
Coming up from Vernal in New Intas, and there's another one that's a little bit more northwest of my location, but not that far.
maybe 30 minutes, you know.
Not like an hour north or anything.
It's like 30 minutes maybe when I looked at the map.
Very interesting.
Thank you for sharing that.
Have you ever gone out to that area again or was that a one-time deal?
There's a one-time deal, but I think I probably want to go back there and, you know,
explore it in a different mindset and see what I.
see if I can pick up anything or see anything, you know, be more aware of, you know, I really
didn't even correlate those whoops and he was extremely close.
The morning there were no, I woke up when I was like there was no noises. There was no birds
chirping. There was no normal noises that you would hear normally when you are waking up
in outside in the summertime. It was during the summer. It was in July.
You know, and it was dead silent when I heard those whoops, which was the other odd thing.
Nurse, thank you for sharing.
It's definitely an interesting anecdote about a weird, a weird experience in that area.
So definitely an area to keep in mind.
And thank you for coming up tonight.
All right.
Thank you.
Have a good night.
Yep, you too.
All right.
That's the first person to share.
and sharing some interesting things that happened in the Uwinta Mountains of Utah.
Hey, Brian, this is Jeremiah.
Awesome.
It sounds like you've had an interesting thing happen in West Virginia.
Would you be able to share that?
Yeah.
It was a brief encounter.
I was 1987.
I was just a kid then.
Of course, I'm 49 now.
We didn't have air conditions back then, and then we slept with the windows open so we can get the night breeze.
And I was asleep, and something woke me from the sound outside the window.
My bed is right underneath the window.
I had the curtains closed, but I could feel that cool breeze coming through the curtain blowing down on me.
But the sound that woke me was that sound of heavy breathing.
Like if you're like a dog sniffing in a doorway or something like that,
you can hear the wind.
And I pulled the curtain.
Well, where I grew up at, we had an outside light shining onto our driveway.
And my bedroom window faced the driveway.
and the I first seen a silhouette when I opened a curtain and I was still half asleep and I
didn't realize what I'm looking at then it grunted and then my eyes focused a little
better and I was staring face-to-face within I don't know three feet of it face-to-face
I was I got scared I rushed up slammed the
window shut and pulled the curtain back to I laid back down my bed pull the
covers back up over my head and I was just laying there scared to death well
it moved right from the window and right next to the I have another window at
my headboard and it was walking across the porch because I could hear it the
heavy steps or landfalls on the the board
of our porch we had no roof over it but you get every time anyone walked
across it you could hear it creek and it was creaking it actually broke the
second step of our porch when it stepped up and it walked across the all the way
the length of our porch and when it came off because I was looking at the window
and I watched it from its backside the and when it stepped off the other
side didn't he look like it jumped or anything it just kind of you know just kind of
jumped the porch was only four foot off the ground so it stepped off with ease
and then it just went on out of sight and that encounter a whole encounter
probably lasted I don't know five maybe five minutes and then I was scared to
death I ran through the other through the
the house, woke my parents up to tell them about it. They just told me I was just having a bad
dream, go back to bed, it'll be all right. And that was my brief encounter. Brian, that is a wild one.
Did you ever look to see if there'd any other any other sightings in the same area?
Never did because I was just a kid at the time, but not until I got older.
Then I started looking into sightings around the area.
There's been, I have moved from where I grew up at, probably about 30 miles away.
There's been a sighting where I live now, but I haven't seen one since I was a kid.
And there was four other sightings where I used to live.
Because I used to go coon hunting a lot.
and some of my friends, they used to go hunting with, I didn't always get to go with them,
but they have claimed to spot it in and around the area I used to live in.
It's very interesting. Are you able to share what county that happened in?
Yeah, that was in Ono, West Virginia, Cabell County.
Wow. Thank you for sharing, Brian. That was a pretty intense.
and it gives me a new area to be aware of. Thank you.
You're welcome.
Hello Frank. I'm going to, I've noticed you've tried to come up a few times.
So I'm going to request you here.
Hi, Jeremiah.
Hey, hello Frank. Would you be, would you mind sharing what you've experienced it?
Yeah. Yeah, if you can hear me, I'll share it.
All right.
So I was being a deer hunter, you know, all my life was come up in Alabama.
Of course, you know, that's what we do down there.
I know you have a lot of hunters on your podcast because, you know, we're always in the woods
and seemed to have a lot of encounters, you know.
But I was hunting in bankhead forest.
Hey, gatekeeper, hello, darling.
I was hunting in Bankhead Forest, and I was on a three-day management hunt, actually, there.
And so, you know, the first day, the morning of the hunt, it was a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hunt.
So, I went to, you got to go to the gang wardens, you know, station to get your permit.
You got your hunting license, but you got to get your permit for this.
management hunt and better have your permit or because there's your bus you but anyway so yeah i went
that morning Friday morning got it real early I was excited about the haunts you know three-day
hunt had the weekend off and drywall contract I've been working hard so I was really looking
forward to it but uh anyway so I get get my permit and you know go and I'm I get in my thing
and you know get there pretty early because I was at the gang war station at 3 a.m.
you know like everybody early getting in hunting and they go into woods and get in the woods and
when you have a big hunt like this and you know guys moving in now the woods can jump deer and run
them to you so anyway I got into my spot and I was on a greenfield I've been hunting for about
10 years and I you know nobody else on this greenfield usually with me and
course it was that way this this time but I got in there real early and had a
had two dough two and I always say they ain't brother and sister I say that
because you know usually you see two they're twins but they were one of them
was over than the other one but anyway these two two do come down in front of me
and, you know, went on past me, and I, you know, of course, didn't shoot them.
It was a buck and a doe.
You could take a buck or a doe either one, but, you know, a little deer.
I wasn't going to, you know, shoot me anything.
I should let them go.
But nothing else come by that morning, which, you know, that's kind of strange
because I've been on a bunch of these hunts and they, you know, just usually have a lot of movement.
you know but anyway so I I sat there about lunch and I went home back you know
lunch now I won't live far from back here so I just went to the
back to the house I grab a sandwich or something you know a couple of bottles
of water went back for the evening hunt I went back to the evening hunt
for the evening hunt and these two doves that I
I had seen that morning come, they just running back at me.
And I knew it was them because they'd pass in that morning.
But they just, at 2 o'clock, they used to come back in bed, you know,
in the evening about 4 o'clock.
I mean, just like clockworked.
They would feed down through the holler, go get water and whatever and come back in the evening.
Anyway, about 2 o'clock, really out of character.
These two deer come running at me on my side of the ridge.
And they were running like predators chasing them, you know, which, you know, we got, we got coyotes and we got bobcats.
We don't have bears.
We don't have wolves, you know, nothing like that.
But anyway, just the way they act, but they got to where I was at and they stopped right in front of me.
Just weird, they're looking at me.
and they'd look back, and they'd go down the ground like I'd sniffing the ground or something,
and they'd look at me and they'd look back, and they stayed there for just a, you know,
a minute of two. It was really, really strange.
And I, but, you know, animals were strange, but I thought a butt was chasing them, you know,
or something because, I don't know, I just, I just didn't really,
but they look like a predator's chasing, a real spooky day.
and they stayed just a second and they looked back a time or two and then they took off trotting and they busted into a run
and they you know run on run up there and back to their bed and there and you know weird but animals are weird you know
so i didn't see anything else that day so i went back to the house and got up next morning going to do it
again so i already got my permit and everything so i go back to my phone and everything so i go back to my
spot where I'm at and I'm still getting her priority.
Sure enough, about 8 o'clock, here comes big dot.
By herself, you know, she didn't have no little ones with her or nothing,
so I'm fixing to put some meat in the freezer, so I got a 30-30.
I've been using it all my life, and I, you know, because you know, one shot,
and, you know, I didn't want to shoot her in the battles because I didn't want to really mess her up.
So I need, you know, do some cleaner and take care of her right there.
So, you know, just one shot to the head, and she's, you know, just fast.
You really, really clean, really quick.
And, you know, now the work's on.
So I got down there, and I had a little creek.
You know, I was lucky I had a little creek running down through the middle of the hollow.
And I, so I started cleaning her up.
And, you know, what I'm, what I mean, I tried to make it as clean as I can, like I didn't,
so I didn't mess her up on the inside, and I just, you know, unzipped her, whatever,
and reached up in there and cut her windpipe, next back there and cut her anvil tube,
and just everything, everything come out at one time, that's what I'm saying.
You know, it was a whole pile, the gut piles right there, really clean.
But I forgot, a buddy of mine, supposed to meet me down.
there you know he's hunting one ridge over and he didn't make it and I didn't
bring a cart so now I got a carrier out there I didn't bring nothing with me so
I threw her over my shoulder and I you know carried up to the Greenfield up this
real steep hill because I was sitting down the other side of hollow looking back
at this Greenfield but I got into Greenfield and I tired of rope to her anyway
but I got her to the truck and I and I went and I and I
took her by the processor right there around the house you know and dropped her off and I'm
so I've harvested a dough and now you know got a chance to harvest the buck so I did about
the same thing I dropped off the processor and I went to my house and got some lunch you know
again and I just don't really hunt in the middle of the daytime you know let's the ruts really
on I mean it's just good in the morning and the evening that's don't really move in the daytime but
the big bucks don't anyway let's
shruts on but so anyway I got I went back to my spot hunt the evening hunt and you know
there's gut pile the gut pile's gone you know the whole the whole gut pile's gone I'm
I was like man am I in the right place I mean I'm running down there forever up you know I just
questioned myself I look down there and you know it's little blood and old leaves and stuff where I
and I knew I was in the right spot, and I, and I think where, you know, it is like a, you know,
where, where the gut pile was late.
You could almost say, because I mean, I know where I left you.
I was right there, you know, where I've been for so many times.
And there was little blood on the leaves, and it, you know, down in there, I'm my only one there.
and looking up beside that creek, you know, thinking back,
looking upside that creek, I can't say I've seen footfriends,
but I've seen depressed,
like where the leaves were mashed down,
like something I picked it up and just walked off with, you know.
And I just, I thought to myself, I thought,
I thought, wow, man, what a pack of coyotes come down here and ate that gut pile up.
This little time I was gone, me sitting on the ground, you know.
I mean, it made me nervous.
I mean, that's what I thought at the time.
That's something I could think of.
But, you know, I should not only wouldn't a pack of coyotes.
They'd get a hold of something.
They ravish it.
They messed the leaves up.
They just, you know.
But at the time, that's what I could come up with.
So I went ahead and hunted on that evening and you know nothing moving at all.
So well, we get on a Sunday.
So Sunday I of course went back to my place again.
Just like I always do, it's a great place.
Now I've hunted there a lot and harvested a bunch of deer there.
And I, you know, I'm sitting there and I sat there about 10 o'clock.
man I don't say it all I want to say it I mean I done you know I'd hunted hard you know
and that dough day before and when I when I carried her you know my heart that dough
when I carried her up the hill I had thorough my shoulder and I had on my hunter's orange
and my hunter's orange had you know blood on it you know from and I say that because it I
think that comes into play here just
it when I'm pretty what happened but anyway I said all I was gonna say it so I
got up and I and a buddy mine talking about these waterfalls at the end of this
Greenfield and I had never been to the all way to the end of the Greenfield although
a hundred years I just never went all the way to the end of it and they in the
management area they planted and it zigzag like a Z all way down through
there you know it was about three-quarters mile long I guess and
They plant it in the exact, so it would accommodate more hunters.
But you can, you know, go down through the greenfield and come around the corner,
and there might be a deer feeding right out in the greenfield.
So, you know, I just, I was bored and I was tired of sitting,
so I just going to walk down here and look at these waterfalls.
And I did.
And I went down there, and sure enough, these bankheads full of waterfalls,
beautiful waterfalls it's it's you know it's the foothills of Appalachian
mountains and I mean it's what's known for us the waterfalls and this one was
wild and out in the middle and it was it was a when I got down there to the end
it was across the hollow big waterfall coming off really pretty had one
trickling down beside it and it was probably you know three or four hundred
yards across this big hollow by the time I got down there and I
but anyway
so I just
you know
I sat there
the last time of the year
and I was taking in
all the beauty
I was looking at this waterfall
so I lit a cigarette
and I sit down
and I
you know
I was there for a minute
and then
I don't know about five minutes
and you know
man all of a sudden
behind me
a stick
snap
I mean you can
you can
tell how big a limb is if you've been in the woods I mean you know I can tell you
little twig like you at the bray or if it's a good size limb but anyway something
stepped on a limb and snapped and it it scared me maybe it was loud enough
and close enough it made me jump and turn and you know I'm right-handed it was it was
behind me you know it was behind me to my right but anyway I'm right
I jumped up and threw my gun up to my shoulder, and I had to spin all the way around, you know, like to see what it was.
Like, because it was behind me, like to my, you know, six o'clock, or five o'clock anyway.
I jumped up and turned around and, you know, what I've seen, it was, it was gray.
It was, it, I thought it might have been a white and dirty, but, I mean, it just, it just, it just, it was, it was.
It was gray.
It looked ready.
I'm sorry about this background noise there.
And it looked mangy.
It looked like, you know, I don't know.
I took it as a, I took it as a male that had been like, I don't know, either looking
for new territory or maybe kicked out of the group, but it was smart enough to know what
that gun was, because when I turned around with that gun, it took it took a, it took a
off, just, I never seen it in the face.
But it was facing me one time, I think it smelled the blood on my, on his arm.
I think it stopped up there to see if I was a wounded tooth, you know, or something.
Because when in, by the time I turned around, it, it just, it lunged forward off of that,
back off of that hollow and went down through that hollow.
And I went running, I didn't know what it was.
I went running up there, you know, I wasn't thinking big footage at the time.
I went running up there with my rifle and looking through my scope, trying to see it.
Not to shoot it, really, but, you know, just see what it was.
And then you could see it going.
I watched it run down that, down that, my side of the hollow,
and across that big hollow, and it was bobbing through trees up and down through there.
and then, you know, it went upside them waterfalls and over the hill.
I mean, it never looked bad, but, you know, it looked like a,
it looked like a 10-foot tall 600-pound orangutan.
It was running so weird, so fast, but so weird,
it was running like it was sitting down in a cheer.
If that makes sense, it's back legs.
his back legs were pumping and you know running just like it's sitting down it's it's
had its arms out in front of it you know it just like it was moving bushes out of
the way or something I mean it just it didn't even I mean it didn't even like it was
using its arms really at all maybe maybe coming off its fingers or something but it you
know leaves right off of trees is in the January and I mean I've watched it go around
them trees man it went right up beside the waterfalls and over the hill and you know it was
gone just before I knew it you know walking and I just you know I was puzzled I still
didn't know what it was man within 20 steps I realized what what it happened
everything started coming back to me you know them dog running up there to me like they
did like a predator was chasing them the gut pile being gone and then you know just walking
back to the truck and and and so I mean I just putting everything together but when I when I
come out to the gate where I come in a game warden was there and there's some more guys
there too they that that gage is the same gate that the road like they go to the power lines and
the way I went cuts off the road and goes my little drink my greenfield there and you know I asked
the game ward and I said hey man yeah y'all got big foot up here you know in the in the woods y'all
y'all yeah he just I said I told him as man I've seen a big foot I was saying a sasker
He said, ah, now he said, he said, he's the, he's to hunt with dogs up here.
We've got a lot of feral dogs.
He said, you probably just seen it feral dog.
I said, man, who you talking to?
You know, I'm a grown-ass man, 55 years old.
I know the difference between a dog.
I just, you know, what I just seen was, you know, I know what it was.
So he just, he just kind of brushed me off.
They kind of, you know, guys there that was with him, he's checking lies and two,
I just out and said it because I mean you know in the moment.
Of course I kind of snooker kind of looked at me funny, you know.
Because, you know, I, so I didn't, you know,
I didn't share it with nobody for a long time
because, you know, I got that kind of look.
It ain't like it is now.
Well, this is 2017 when it's that.
But, you know, then I, of course, you know,
like everybody else, once you have a,
encounter one of these things you kind of start digging deep and and and listening stuff and everybody goes to youtube
right so and i and i and i got to listen to carry on on bigfoot odyssey yeah i know that's what i thought
i thought to tell him but man and i and carry you know i find a message of care and and you know he said
buddy said they said let me they said because carry had a terrifying encounter if y'all haven't ever heard
I mean, everybody sure it has.
God rest of the soul, man, I can't believe we lost them.
That was devastated.
And, you know, it was, it was just, it was, it was just, I heard Carrier's encounter.
He invited me on the show, and I shared it, you know, on his show, and it was, you know,
it was realized, like a ton of lifted off of me, you know, from what I had experienced, you know,
in the past, you know.
so
man she's been
Jeremiah I'm glad to come on your show
I'm glad to talk to you
hey night collier this
or night crawley or
how's it going
I haven't actually
seen a big foot
but when I was in the
Boy Scouts of America
this happened on the Blue Ridge Sky
Reservation
up around Hawassie Virginia
okay
I don't know if you know whether it is or not
but
I was hiking
what they called high note and me and the other other scouts I was the
the senior leader senior boy leader and we were walking up this room and we
smelled something kind of felt like a wet dog okay and that's what they say
they smell like okay now that that night we were laying we slept under lean
that night.
And I heard something down in the woods sound like I'm knocking.
And like they do, they're the wood knocking, they call it.
Right.
I'm sure you're familiar what I'm talking about.
And I heard that.
And it kind of scared me a little bit because I didn't really know what it was at first.
And I hollered some of the scout leaders.
I said, hey, that ain't y'all down making that racket, is it?
They said, no, we're under the lean tube.
We didn't, we hear it ourselves.
And I said, well, I don't really know what it is, but I said, I think it might be a big foot.
And they said, well, we don't know if it is or not.
And I had another encounter later on and didn't actually see anything that time, but I smelled it over as well.
That's all I've ever been doing to just smelt the odor.
But they, you know, this funny, like, wet dog smell that they have.
And it kind of makes you want to upchup, so to speak.
Right.
But I just thought I'd get on you and tell you my two cents work.
Well, very interesting.
Thank you for sharing.
That gives me another area to be aware of.
So I appreciate you coming on.
You know, maybe you can ask somebody to come up here in a few minutes.
Maybe they've actually had a guy down there.
I wish I had it really.
but it's something I'll never forget as long as I'll live.
Yes, sir.
But anyway, thank you.
All right.
Thanks for sharing, sir.
You have a good one.
We've got Brian has some things in Southern Oregon.
We're going to reach out to him.
Hey, Ryan.
This is Jeremiah.
How's it going, man?
Not too bad.
Just hanging out.
It sounds like you have some interesting things going on in Southern Oregon.
Yeah, so my family has a ranch that we've had in the,
the family for like three generations and it's in a real pretty secluded area
down in the Southamqua area and as I was like a kid growing up I would walk
the property it's a good 80 acres out in the middle of nowhere and there was
just these things that would happen that I couldn't explain and I didn't think of
anything about it because I mean I'm a kid where
things happen all the time and you never know what's going on but there was this one time
i was just sitting in our barn after feeding the cattle and i heard what sounded like it sounded like
an actual like lion from the zoo growling and you wouldn't hear that kind of stuff out there
because i mean mount lions they sound completely different than what i heard and it sounded like it was off
in the distance but it was like really loud to where it seemed like it was close and it just freaked
me out and then there was this other time i was walking the property and i walked past a tree and i
heard something like quietly like grunt at me and it like it made me freeze instantly and
i was like okay um don't run just walk calmly like you didn't hear anything and eventually i got back
home but just a like maybe seven years ago I was hanging out at my uncle's house on the
property and about two o'clock in the morning I heard something rustling around up at our barn
so I shone the light up there and I didn't see anything so me and my aunt we grabbed our pistols
we walked up the lane and was looking around trying to see if we saw anything we have this
bus that's parked outside the barn and we were shining the lights around it
we didn't see anything in front of it or behind it or beside it and it wasn't
till we shined our flashlight up over it we saw something quickly you just
run right past our light like between the bus and our flashlights heading
for our fence line and my aunt started shooting at it and yeah it was it was
really freaky
You've got some really crazy stuff going on that property.
Yeah, and it's been off and on for a long time.
Like there's times when I'm out and about and I feel like I'm being watched.
So I'm like hesitant to really do anything on the property.
What's the most recent that something's been going on there?
So I haven't been there in like six years, seven years.
So that was probably the most.
recent thing that's happened and it mainly because my mom passed away on the
ranch and I haven't been there since but uh yeah it just I just made me so
uncomfortable I never seen something like that and it just made me not want to
come back I can understand you know having what happened to your mom
associated there with that you you probably
wouldn't want to go back.
Yeah.
But thank you for sharing what you experienced there is.
That's a very intense one.
Feel free to reach out.
If anything else, if you hear anything else ever happened there, you can email me at
Bigfoot Society at gmail.com, but thank you for sharing.
Yeah, man.
No problem.
It's good to see all the people that speak out and come out about their experiences because
I love reading about it.
Absolutely.
You have a great night there.
Yeah, you too.
Take it easy.
Hey DRock, this is Jeremiah. Awesome.
Sounds like you've had a really interesting experience over the years.
Would you be able to share?
Yeah, I worked on the West Coast Trail on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
And my co-workers with me on the trail at the time, there was four of us.
And it was early in the season.
So the West Coast Trail, you know, runs from like April until, like,
September every year and so this was early 2000s and at the time you know I wasn't
really into Bigfoot or any experiences like that and so the cabin that we were
working out of is was built the infrastructure is built by Parks Canada and so
So yeah, so the experience was the four of us were bunked in this little cabin and there's no power, there's nothing.
We just run propane stoves out of there.
And so around like around three in the morning, our cabin was something was outside of our cabin.
And it was not shaking her cabin, but it was, like, it sounded like it was, something was smashing
up against her cabin.
And the cabin is a solid built cabin.
And we were all sound asleep at the time, and it woke us up, all of a dead sleep.
And all four of us woke up, was pitch black.
We had no, no lights.
And this thing was just smashing the head.
out of our, the outside of our cabin and we were so scared that we didn't even want to put
any lights on to look out the window until the next morning. So there's a deck that kind of wraps
around like the half of our cabin and the next morning when we woke up after we went back
to sleep. We took turns but going outside and kicking up against the wall and
jumping up and down on the deck to see if we can mimic the sound and there was nothing we
couldn't match the sound that was that we experienced or it was it was so thunderous that
it did you woke up with there with I woke up with my hair standing on end and and that was
that was the first experience I had that was on the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island.
We had no explanation for it. None of us had any experience like that before.
And we went out and looked around, but we couldn't see, we didn't see no tracks,
but there was on the outside of our cabin, I'd say, about like seven feet up.
or eight feet up the back wall.
There was no windows on that side.
And you could see there was
there was dirt, something that was left.
I don't know if something was hitting it
or it sounded like something was like smat,
like as if somebody had like a boulder
or something that was like ramming it up against the back of our cabin
or against her cabin or using some kind of like a
a ram
to hit her cabin
that's the only kind of way I can describe it
so there is a
fair amount of dirt up there
yeah
was it
how long across
was the area with the dirt would you say
oh probably
like four feet
like four feet
apart yeah
yeah
in that same season so we're trail maintenance workers two of us were trail
maintenance so we just like did repairs on infrastructure on the West Coast
Trail and others were people who checked campsites and permits and you know
just checked on people and gave information and one of my co-worker and we're
doing a trail maintenance and it was early in the year before the trail even
opened up and so we're the only ones on the West Coast Trail so there is we're
cutting up windfalls over the winter the trees that fell over the trail and so
we're maybe 50 meters apart from each other and yeah yeah probably 50 meters
apart from each other and he wasn't in my sight we're both up
operating chainsaws and he had stopped working because he got hit by by a rock or he
thought it was a like a pine cone or a rock or something and then so he stopped and then
he was taking a water break and then he was sitting there and then rocks were being thrown at
him and he had thought it was me and but he realized that when he came he could still
I hear my power saw and he came around the corner and he flagged me down and he was telling me that he had six to seven rocks thrown at him from above him in the section that he was working on.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
It's very interesting. I actually talked to a guy the other night from, I think it's Nanaimo.
Oh, yeah.
which is a different part of the island for sure.
But how big were the rocks that were being thrown out?
They were probably like, I think he said the biggest one was probably around.
They weren't big, they were bigger than pebble size.
And he said the biggest one was probably like an inch and a half.
Wow.
Yeah.
Oh, and he actually did find one of the rocks that was thrown at them.
And it was, yeah, so it was like, it looked like it was a river rock.
You know, you can find river, like they're smooth.
There's no edges on it.
And so he's seen the rock.
He never seen the rock come up, but he's seen it land on the trail near him,
and he went and grabbed it.
And when he came down to me, he was saying he got these rocks thrown at them.
And he said, this is one of the rocks that he picked up that got thrown.
thrown in his direction and it was a flat it was a flat smooth smooth rock and he said when he
grabbed it he said when he picked it up he said it was warm as if something was something was holding
on to it something was holding on to it yeah do you still have one of those rocks
no he kept it i don't and it was it was uh yeah it was him yeah so we all grew up on the
west coast of anchor rhida and i live in parksville right now
but that was many years ago now from the early 2000s.
That's some fascinating stuff that you had happened.
Thank you for sharing that.
Yeah, thanks a lot.
Thanks for having me letting me share.
Absolutely.
You have a great night, sir.
