All right, Bigfoot Society,
you've got the privilege of talking to Sean today.
Sean's an individual that reached out through the YouTube comments,
and he is based out there in Tacoma, Washington.
But how's it going today, Sean?
I'm doing well.
Thanks for talking to me.
Awesome.
I've been excited to talk to you.
You've definitely had some really interesting things.
You've kind of shared a little bit through email,
and I've been excited to get to this point.
So, you know, Sean, I'm going to go ahead and pass things over to you.
share what you need to to set the stage of how you got into these things you've experienced.
Okay. I guess I'll just start at the beginning, which is something that I sort of blocked my whole life.
You know, little glimpses here and there. I would think back to it and not understand it fully.
and it just kind of all came to a head watching a show on TV with my daughter about the Alaskan Otterman.
So as soon as we turned that show on, the Otterman thing just popped out because I went on this sailing trip with my family.
And we sailed the San Juan's every summer of my childhood, just kind of explored and found island.
and, you know, it was really fun.
But we saw what we thought were giant sea otters.
So we kind of like my dad was, my dad was, we were in a sailboat.
So he was pointing at him going, look, look, see otters.
And we sort of started sailing towards them.
And we got closer and they were just huge.
They were, they were too big.
But we still thought they were otters.
But then they climbed out of the water on all fours, like onto this beach and just kind of scampered up this beach and then this trail.
And we kind of followed them with our eyes up this trail.
And when they got up to this top of this little hill, there were clearing up there.
You could see kind of dappled sunshine.
You can see it was a clearing.
And they stood up when they got up there.
And then we realized there was a bunch more.
standing around in a circle.
And so we were still, you know, getting closer and closer on the sailboat.
And the one I noticed the most was the one that was standing with his back to us sort of on this cliff,
inside of the clearing, but on the edge, the outer circle.
And it was like the cliff and then the water and then us.
And so he was slightly above us.
But his arms were crossed like.
in front of him.
And you could see
like the side of his face and
his body, his body was covered
in black hair. All of them had
just like just super black, jet black hair.
And
so he didn't seem to
react to us at all. But once we all
kind of saw what we were looking at and realized
that these weren't otters, they were
some kind of people.
You can tell my dad got kind of scared and he
slammed the tiller over to the other
side and the sailboat started going away. And that's kind of when I kind of got freaked out. And,
you know, I noticed my dad was scared. So we just sailed away. None of us said a word. None of us
talked about it. None of us. There was me and my mom and my dad. My sister was below deck doing
something. But never talked about it. We were just kind of like shrugged our shoulders. Like,
what the heck just happened and carried on with our voyage and then ended up somewhere getting
distracted doing other things with other people and we never talked about it again but i always
remembered it sort of in the back of my mind i'd think back and i remember him standing there with
his arms crossed i remember his face he looked like a a native american sort of caveman
native american but he he wasn't you know they weren't they weren't they weren't they weren't they
weren't regular people and they weren't otters. So that was basically what happened and not much
else to it. Sean, that's that is very incredible. Remind me again how old you were at the time of
this time? I was 10 because I remember I had my Ninja Turtles toys. So I think it would have been
around 91 or 92.
I was born in 81, so 10, 11 years old, something like that.
So, yeah, pretty crazy.
Do you think what you saw was a Custika then or otter man or what do you think it might
have been actually a Sasquatch?
I don't think it, I don't, it wasn't an otter, you know, there was no tail.
There was no, there was no indication that it was an otter in the face, nothing like that.
you know, the Christaqa stuff I've seen does look like an otter, you know, which, you know, to me could just be a closest approximation by someone who would see it, you know, just like what we thought it was. We thought it was an otter. We, you know, and when they got on all fours and walked up the beach, you could tell their legs were too long, too lanky, their arms and legs.
So while they were scurrying up the thing, we all were like, well, that's not an otter, you know?
What kind of?
And then they...
Go ahead.
Well, then they just scampered up that trail and stood up, so it got weirder and weirder.
What was your question?
Did they have a certain way of swimming when they were in the water?
They were just swimming, like, all you could see was their head and their back, which was why we thought they were.
otters, you know, and possibly otters lay on their back and they're, you know, using their hands on
their chest or whatever.
From a distance, we didn't know.
That was the shape.
That was the basic shape of it was a head with a body.
And when we got closer, you realized it was a head and a back, not a belly and not an otter face.
And then they got up.
Go ahead.
Yeah.
And then they just got on, you know, on the beach when they got to the beach.
they crawled up like on all fours and their legs and arms didn't move as much as you'd think it was more their hands and feet.
That's really interesting.
Can you explain a little bit more what you mean by it was more their feet?
Like the movement seemed to be more just in the wrists and the actual foot.
like the arms and legs were relatively still.
They didn't swing back and forth or anything like that.
You know,
it was like they were pretending to be animals.
It's sort of the kind of what I got from it at 10 years old,
not knowing what the heck I was looking at.
Right, right.
I was like,
I really honestly,
I remember that feeling of thinking they're trying to trick us.
And then, you know,
they got up the trail to the top of the hill and,
and stood up because they were with all their friends at that point.
I don't think they needed to care anymore, you know.
When they were standing and you saw the one that was on the cliff and then there
were the other in the group, how far away from you in the sailboat were these guys?
So I figure, and I've told this story before, and the only thing I can figure is we got
close enough where you could throw a line to the beach, so I'd say no more than like 40 feet.
30, 40 feet.
It was close.
We were so close.
You could see the ground underneath our keel.
Okay.
So, you know, I know as my dad was getting closer to the island to see what we were looking at,
I know he was keeping an eye on the ground, too, so we didn't run a ground.
Because that's how close we were.
For those that aren't familiar with this area, can you kind of describe a little bit,
like exactly where the San Juan Islands are, how far away from civilization we're talking to get to them, things like that?
Yeah.
So this would have been up, okay, so Washington, you know, has that big peninsula that sticks up.
And then the Puget Sound, you know, cuts down into the heart of the state.
So all these islands are scattered inside that sound.
and we would have been up towards Victoria Island
or Vancouver Island
because we were headed to Victoria.
So it was just a super tiny
forested island
up there by Canada.
We were probably still in American waters
but at least
nautical miles
I'd say or I'll say as the crow flies
30, 40 miles from any civilized town.
Interesting.
Super remote.
You know, super remote.
And it was a tiny island.
I mean, it looks like something that you'd see on the screensaver or something, you know.
Wow.
And it was a super bright, sunshiny day that you could see through the trees.
You know, you could see all these things perfectly clear.
is it an unnamed island or just i would assume it was yeah yeah yeah i know with that that
trip we found an island that had our same last name so we we like to go exploring around
those those islands that's what my dad was a sailor man you know so we were gone most of the
summer doing that. That's very cool.
I mean, like, what a cool way for
a family to get out and do
stuff. I did want to ask
a few more questions about what
you remember from that day.
So do you remember
anything,
anything about the head shape
or if there were ears on the creatures
or anything like that?
Yeah. So,
their hair
was like a
like a slick
back kind of almost like a mullet but it was like poofy and tall on top but but kind of like a
pompadour mullet is weird I don't know if it was because they were wet or or if that's just what
it seemed like they had the same hair all of them like a shoulder like it would come down long
hair from the top of the head down slicked back down to the shoulders but then it kind of like
curled out just a little bit you know um but then their their whole body was
the same color, but just shorter hair.
And their face was like a Native American caveman, dude.
Like, it looked like I've seen so many pictures of, like,
Neanderthal type.
It's one of those stages in between or whatever they say.
Gotcha.
That's what it most looked like was like a caveman.
Indian.
Would you say that,
the group was all males or did you think it was they were all you know younger adolescents females males like so okay i kind of think
the two the two that were in the water i think they were younger because they weren't as big uh and they kind of got
spooked by us and scampered up the beach so it kind of seemed like they were playing in the water or something
and these other ones were standing around the circle i think they were the one that was standing with his back to us was a
was a man he was a man i didn't get a very close look at any of the other ones other than just
you know their basic shape and color their faces all seemed similar um but and i never saw
the faces of the two that got out and scampered up they were kind of in the back the trailhead
kind of came out behind this group and there was like a couple standing there while they
walked into this sort of it was like they were having to this sort of they were
having a council meeting or something, man.
Very, very interesting.
And so did you guys have to drive up to, where is it?
There's like, looks like 20 goes up to Alexander Beach in that area.
And then there's, you might have been able to sail out from there.
I know this is a lot to ask because you were 10 years old.
No, we had our boat in Gig Harbor.
I grew up in Gig Harbor.
So we just had our boat down in a marina and we would sail from Gig Harbor all the way up there.
Oh, wow.
That's a long trip.
Yeah, yeah, it was.
It was awesome, though, man.
There's so many things happened on those trips like whales, orcas swimming with us like a foot from our feet, you know, while we're keeling over.
You're basically standing on the side of the bench on the other side of the boat, you know?
Like you're keeled over so far that the boat's sideways.
And the orcas were just right below my feet looking at me with their eyes, like making eye contact.

There's no minimum age requirement and you don't need an ID to buy it.
You can order it through DoorDash and other major delivery platforms too.
That's freedom to be.
Use as directed.
It was crazy.
Crazy stuff happened on that trip.
Another interesting thing I've noticed, because I look at a map while I'm doing these interviews, is I know.
notice that the Lumme reservation is actually kind of goes out in the same area it's probably more
north of the San Juan Islands a little bit but I know that there's a ton of Bigfoot interaction
on that reservation over the years yeah kind of interesting yeah it's it's pretty wild out
there it's I we rarely ever ran into any other people it was it is it is rare to you know we'd get
to like some, you know, Friday Harbor would be our first stop.
And then we, you know, we'd kind of make our way up through the islands.
And then once you got into the straits, it was, you feel like you're in the ocean.
And then, you know, there's little islands that are around and stuff like that.
But yeah, it's, I'd assume that there'd be mostly native, you know, land out there.
Absolutely.
So your dad takes the sailboat.
you guys get out of there and then you don't really talk about what happened it sounds like
yeah no yeah no whether it was like a defense mechanism within us or if it was because my dad
didn't want us to be scared um we just kind of never talked about it i know we all looked at each
other i remember making eye contact you know with my parents and then i you know my dad's passed away
but i talked to my mom about this i you know uh
talked about this with someone else too, and I had talked to her, and she took a day for her to
remember. And she called me the next day. It was like, dude, I totally remember that. Like,
what? It's crazy. Your mom? Yeah. Yeah. That's funny. Did she remember how she had reacted to her?
Did she have any things? Yeah, she remembered every, it like slams back to you, you know? Like,
it was right, like, when I was, like, when I was,
watching that thing with my daughter. It all slammed into my memory. And I was like, oh, my goodness,
I've seen those things. That's pretty, that's pretty incredible. What a way to start out at the
age of 10. There's a question. This is a weird question. It's just, it's in my mind.
Just because you mentioned, you mentioned Ninja Turtles. So you're, we're about the same age.
you're into the Saturday morning cartoons back in the day, early 80s.
Did what you saw remind you of anything that you had seen in a cartoon or anything I thought?
Hmm.
There's a good question.
I don't think so.
I think it was so strange and so foreign that I just assumed it was, I couldn't assume anything.
I had no idea what I saw, and neither did my parents.
So there was no box to put it in, no explanation for it.
But I'll tell you that I did develop an interest in Sasquatch or mysteries of any kind after that for sure.
I knew there was other stuff out there that was not acknowledged by the public.
So, yeah, it kind of gave me sort of the ability to critically think, I think, almost, you know.
So how did that start manifesting itself, like as you got into elementary school and started to go up through the years?
I mean, just a interest in the subject.
Just, you know, it opened my eyes and definitely made me sort of more inquisitive as far as not just dismissing things.
Because I dismissed that, you know.
And I don't even know if this was all conscious.
It was just that's the kind of person I became.
I became someone that wasn't that hard to believe.
believe that some of these things might be happening.
And, you know, not until recently did I find all the podcasts and everything and start putting two and two together.
You know, it's crazy.
So.
It's crazy what you deny yourself just because you can't put it in a box.
A hundred percent.
Yes.
That, that rings true so, so much.
So you went for a good maybe 30, 35 years.
just kind of internally analyzing everything,
and then you realized,
oh, hey, there's lots of other people talking about this stuff.
That's exactly right.
Yeah, and like I said, I can't,
I kind of always been,
I don't just want to say things that freak people out, you know?
And so I do internalize, yeah, that is right on.
Yeah, absolutely.
So you have that, that,
that first
interaction at age 10,
how long was it then
until something else
happened
that was out of the ordinary?
Something else happened
when I was in high school.
I was probably a freshman
in high school.
And that's one of the weird ones
and I was interviewed
about this and I
withheld stuff
which,
because
it just sounds so weird,
you know?
It just sounds so unbelievable that I don't know.
I'll just tell you what happened.
Yeah, and don't feel like you need to withhold anything either.
That does not bother me.
You know, you can share everything you remember and, yeah, just feel free to get it all out there.
It's so simple and so weird, but it's just happened.
And I can't deny it anymore because I've heard.
heard it from so many other people on on the podcasts and you know I've heard the same stuff so many
times that I just can't deny it anymore so I'll just tell you what I think it was and so anyway
I was out with a bunch of friends it was like Friday night probably one or two o'clock in the
morning and we were out at this place called the cliff in gig Harbor it was just an undeveloped
piece of piece of land that was right on the water so it had this blunt cliff and
And we used to go up there and hang out.
We were, you know, teenagers.
And so that night I got into, like, an argument with my friend,
and I decided I was going to walk home.
I was only a mile or so from my house.
So I start walking.
And back then, you know, it was pretty wooded out there in the harbor.
And it was definitely dense forest everywhere, you know.
So I'm walking down this road.
and right beside me is the woods, and there's trails through these woods that are, they're like, almost like tunnels.
We used to call them the bear trails.
But the tunnels were like pretty big.
You could walk up, right?
And I'm walking down the road, and I got that feeling, you know, like the hair stands up, and I hear footsteps exactly the same as mine coming from the woods.
And every time I'd stop, like, I'd look over and footsteps would stop.
And then I kept going.
And it was like the third time I stopped.
And I turned my head so the wind wouldn't be blowing in my ears.
And I could really hear what was going on.
And it took two more steps towards me.
Like I could tell it was leaving the trail and going on to like the, the,
just where there's sticks and leaves and everything to crunch.
And it took two steps closer.
And it put, like, it put a picture in my head.
And it was clear as day.
Like, I could see exactly what was walking towards me.
And it was like a picture that was just him standing there on a sunny day.
And it wasn't sunny.
It was dark, you know, it was the weirdest thing.
But he was straight up Sasquatch.
And as soon as he took those two steps towards me and I saw that picture, I had bolted.
I just turned around and bolted and ran back to my friends.
Like after walking for like 10, 15 minutes, I got back to them in minutes, like seconds.
I ran faster than I've ever ran.
And it was weird because it was like an absolute certainty what I saw.
And it was just in my head.
I didn't see it in real life.
I just heard it.
And that's it.
That's what kind of made me really want to start reading books and watching shows about it, you know?
Oh, absolutely.
That would, I mean, man, that would do it.
Was this late 90s?
This has happened?
Yeah, this would have been like 96.
Okay.
Yeah.
The photo you saw in your mind, is it similar to what you saw when you were in the sailboat?
No.
Okay.
Oops.
Well, then I'll walk away from this long door.
Yeah, nope.
It was a completely different, it looked like Patty.
Oh.
Like male version, I guess I would say.
It was that kind.
It was totally different from what I saw.
It didn't jog my memory of what I saw.
It was seriously like a completely separate entity.
And just a visual, there was no auditory things, no, no voices you heard at the same time.
Just the steps.
Okay.
Just the steps.
And something definitely telling me, the giving me the fight or flight before anything happened.
You know.
That was going to be my next question is during this time, did you get like all of a sudden something that was like, okay, time to go?
or yeah yeah it was instant fear and intimidation and then that steps and then it took me a minute
to kind of figure out what the heck was going on with the steps you know did you ever talk to
any of your friends to see if they experience similar things in that area they're growing up
around there there was always stories always stories and pretty much everything
Everyone I knew knew about it at least.
Whether they believed it or not, I don't know.
But, yeah.
Growing up, you know, after the Mount St. Helens thing, growing up in that area, yeah, there was a lot of stories.
And so you're saying people had sightings of Bigfoot in general or of also seeing visuals in their mind of something?
Oh, no, I hadn't heard about that.
No, I hadn't heard about that until I started listening to, like,
you know, the podcasts and, and that I didn't even, like, I didn't even recognize that until I
heard other people talk about it. And I was like, holy crap. Yeah, because I ran back to my friends
and I was like, there's a big foot, you know, and we all went, got in the trucks and
drove down there trying to look for it after that happened. Like, I was, I was freaked out. And it
wasn't because I saw it. It was because he paste me and showed me a picture. I didn't even realize
it was happening. And even after telling this story to the other show that interviewed me about this,
like, I just said, I knew instantly what it was and I ran. I just, that's all I said. I knew
instantly what I was dealing with and I ran. Absolutely. And just so people don't think this is a show
where I don't like mentioning other shows because sometimes that's a whole deal on all your shows.
But can you mention what other show you were on if you don't mind?
Yeah.
So, yeah.
So Wes,
West's show,
Saskatch Chronicles.
It's episode 1039,
The Otterman.
Cool.
So people can check that out as well,
definitely.
Absolutely.
That's awesome.
Yeah.
So,
I'm sorry.
One more question about,
so did,
because that's just such a,
a really intense thing to experience.
Did that affect you in any way after?
Did you see that visual again?
I just knew, because it wasn't a conscious thing.
It wasn't like I knew that they could do that.
It wasn't something, it wasn't an ability I attributed to it or anything like that.
It was just, I knew what I was dealing with and I ran.
And I figured, I've always been sort of like in touch,
spiritually, you know, I come from an old Irish family and it gets passed down.
Every once in a while a kid is born and you just kind of have an old soul, you know,
you can see things and empathize and feel people can't lie to me, you know,
nobody can lie to me.
Let's take a minute to kind of, if you can explain what that means, because I think different
cultures and religions kind of describe that in different ways, but I'm really,
curious, like, what your family and culture would, like, what you experienced growing up, things like that?
There was a, my dad's aunt was basically a clairvoyant.
Bigfoot Society will be right back after these messages.
This is Ashlyn Harris from Wide Open with Ashland Harris.
All right, quick switch, because I want to tell you about one of our favorite sponsors, Vital Proteins.
But I can't really talk about Vital Proteins.
but I can't really talk about vital proteins without talking about collagen first.
So, did you know that collagen makes up one-third of all the protein in your body?
That's a lot of collagen.
But our natural collagen production starts to dip at the age of 30, give or take a few years.
So adding collagen peptides daily feels like a really simple way to support what your body already does.
Now I know you've seen vital proteins collagen peptides,
iconic blue tub around before. It's literally everywhere. I mean, it is one of the most recognized
collagen supplements out there. And there's a real reason it's so popular. It supports healthy hair,
skin, nails, bones, and joints. Vital Proteins has become a part of my daily routine. I mix it into my
morning coffee or my smoothie. It's really easy. You can't even taste it. And it fits right into my day
so I can feel my best. For me, it's about staying strong and showing up fully every single day.
It just fits into my life. I'm betting it will fit into yours too. You can add a serving to your
morning coffee, your tea, smoothies, or oatmeal into whatever you're already having. And it dissolves
easily with the neutral taste and no extra steps. Like I said, it fits right into your life. People use it for
different reasons. Some for beauty benefits, some for joint support, but for me, it's all about
building a daily habit I can actually stick to. And that's the key with collagen peptides,
consistency. One serving every day to support your hair, skin, nails, bones, and joints. And right now,
you can get 20% off your next order by going to vitalproteins.com and using promo code
wide open 20 at checkout.
Huge thanks again to our sponsor, Vital Proteins.

What makes bad dirt so bad?
The answer?
The ingredients.
But fear not true crime enthusiasts.
This story has a happy ending.
Miracle Grow organic raised bed and garden soil.
It's made with quality organic ingredients from upcycled green waste like compost and aged bark.
Unlike the other guys who can't say the same, looks like bad dirt's murdering days are over.

Plan B is the number one OBGYN-R recommended brand and the only one that you can find at all major retailers in all 50 U.S. states.
There's no minimum age requirement and you don't need an ID to buy it.
You can order it through DoorDash and other major delivery platforms too.
That's freedom to be.
Use as directed.
It wasn't anything that you'd say out loud.
It was just everyone knew.
She would call you and warn you about things or something like that, you know, anything like that.
And then as to do with crows, ravens, our family, like our symbol for our family was a raven
and pre-Christianity and then post-Christianity, our family crest changed, obviously.
But we were druids.
You know, it was a religion, basically.
But it's definitely something that we've seen has been passed.
down like every generation there's one of the kids is just just knows things you can see it in
their eyes and how fast they learn and you know it's it's weird but and I don't even you know I'm
not going to say it's factual I'm just going to say that's our belief yeah it's so you
can trace your lineage back to the the druid the druid yeah we actually actually
Actually, we can trace it back to the people who came to Ireland and settled it.
So they were Vikings, basically.
Oh, wow.
Celtic, the Celts, and the druids were their priest class, you know.
What kind, do you know what section of Ireland you were mainly based out of or your relatives were?
Yeah, then northern, northern, like Ulster.
Okay, yep, yep.
Yeah.
And then we spread.
We kind of ended up in cork down south.
I used to think I was Irish.
Turns out I'm not.
I'm Scottish.
So it's totally different.
Same, same, same, but different.
Yeah.
Wish I could be Irish.
Anyways, that's another story.
But wow.
So when you were growing up, did you experience things where it was like, maybe I should
go talk to that person to see if they're okay?
Yeah, precognition.
Yeah.
Contact person.
I can, tons, tons.
I can always hear someone's voice in my head and then they'll call me.
And, you know, or vice versa, I can call someone in there like, I was just thinking about you.
I'm like, I know.
It's just weird.
You kind of have to just go with your gut.
You can't pinpoint it.
You can't predict it.
You can't.
It's just a feeling you get and you go with it.
And it's pretty accurate.
I totally get.
I get it.
I absolutely get it.
Did this, did you start to realize this after you had the encounters or was it something you just started to realize as you grew?
No, yeah.
No, that's something that was kind of, it was apparent early.
Okay.
Connections with old people and just, I don't know, there's a lot of mysticism and superstition and Irish people, I guess.
Absolutely. It goes back a real long ways.
That's how they name you. That's how they identify who you are as a soul.
You know, you're known for who you are very early.
That's very interesting.
So you're in high school and you have this situation where you have that the visual,
in your mind. And then you said
after this, then you really
started to dig into things. You started
to read, like what kind of things were you reading?
Well, as far as I could, yeah.
You know, just go to the library and get books.
There was no internet yet, really. I mean,
the beginnings of the internet were there.
But there wasn't
any vast database
of knowledge like there is now.
But, yeah, books.
Every time I saw
saw a book with a big foot on it, I grabbed
it for sure.
That's true
because at that point,
I mean,
just so listeners can connect it.
In 96,
that's when Peter Byrne was doing his study
and Henry Franzoni was coming on the scene
and helping him.
And so it's a very,
you know,
I guess you could kind of say early
in modern Bigfoot research.
It's not as early as the 60s,
but it is kind of cool to think of it in that way.
So you kept learning, you kept getting what information that you could.
And was there ever a time where you kind of stepped away from it or you were just like the whole time?
Yeah, I mean, yeah, no.
I wasn't really obsessed with it or anything.
I just definitely found it interesting and I definitely believed it, you know.
You know, you'd see unsolved mysteries would come on and they'd do the Patterson Gimlin.
film. I knew that thing was real, you know.
There was no question in my mind.
And then, you know, and now with thinker-thunker and everybody like that, dude, that thing is real.
You know, and it didn't take me that long to figure that out because that picture in my head,
which I never even knew was a picture in my head.
It was just what I thought I was dealing with.
Looked just like that.
And, you know, it didn't.
didn't take much. But yeah, I wasn't like constantly obsessed with it. I just, just knew.
Absolutely.
It's just something I knew.
Are there any other things that you would want to, to share about what happened at that point in Gig Harbor?
You kind of just continued on with life at that point.
Yeah, yeah, basically.
Yeah, my group of friends at that point, I think they sort of believed me.
So I felt okay about it and then moved on, you know, then kind of leads me down the road and then something else happened and it was even weirder.
And I just, now I'd say I'm kind of obsessed.
Now it's, I'm at work all day with podcasts on the speaker and YouTube and whatever, man.
It's so much information now.
So I feel like I'm finally getting some answers and I can finally like put two and two together here and there and there and there.
You know, things happen to me that thousands of other people are saying now.
Well, that's the weird thing, right?
Because at this point in our history, especially in this whole topic, with the Internet able to connect everything, everyone is realizing, yes, I'm not a person that's an island in it.
to see there are thousands of other people that are experiencing what's going on. And honestly,
I feel that it is starting to go towards an end point, to be honest. I think that there's
something coming sooner than later. The UFO, UIP crowd has had their day. And I think our day is
coming, to be honest, hopefully within the next 30 years. But we'll see. It's got to come to a head,
It's got to.
It's got to.
You mentioned that there was another weird thing that happened after that Gig Harbor incident.
Do you mind sharing what else happened?
Sure.
So I went up camping with a buddy of mine and another girl, friend of both of ours.
And we went up, there's a little lake called Cooper Lake, and there's Catchez Lake up there.
It's the Alpine Lake's Wilderness Lake's.
It's up past LB and Roslyn in Washington here.
So you can look at a map.
You can, you know, right next to Rosalind,
there's some Forest Service roads that go up to these lakes.
And we went up there, and it was like early June.
I had the itch to go camping early that year.
And we packed everything up and went up there.
And when we got to this turnoff,
off on this forest road, we went up this hill a little bit and then this, this tree was over the
road.
So we actually got out, moved to the tree, and then kept going.
And we ended up hitting the snow line.
And so we were like, oh, crap, I guess we'll turn around and go back to that campsite
by where that tree was.
And went back down there.
and pulled off the road and got down into the campsite and got out of the cars and everything
and there was stuff everywhere there was tents still there like water bottles um tarps like
rope just everything a cooler like garbage just scattered around everywhere and and
basically when we first saw it we were like what jerks you know like who did this so
anyway we cleaned it up and we set up our camp and we lit our well actually we started looking for firewood first and we went out to we split up all three of us to go collect firewood and i went up a little ways away from the site i found like this clearing that had a bunch of deadfall and stuff but there was like super silent like it was so quiet that i remember getting vibes out
like something was watching me slash it's too quiet I got scared basically and so like oh and then there was in that little clearing there was a sapling like a six foot tall sapling that was snapped in half like you could tell that it was broken it wasn't snow load bending it or anything like that it was too little for snowload it was a little rubbery sapling and it was just broken so I actually noticed that
because that was one thing I had heard about.
And I smelled kind of like this urine smell.
But it was too quiet and I felt weird.
So I kind of scrambled back to the site, dropped my armload of firewood and went and found my friends and kind of collected firewood with them.
Excuse me.
So we get back to the site.
We started a fire and cooked dinner.
We made sausages.
and it was almost like the smell of the sausage or the fire itself
alerted something and the woods were still dead quiet
no insects no birds and usually up there in the mountains it's it's chirping it's loud
squirrels and stuff are everywhere or like little chipmunks even they're everywhere
but none nothing and whatever this thing was
or things, like smelled our fire.
And you could kind of sense that it was about 200 yards away by the distance of the sound, you know?
I don't know.
I'm good with distance.
I don't know why, but I could hear these things like erupted with,
with like excitement or it was like a frenzy.
And it was like three, at least three.
separate sounds that were like sort of like a coyote sort of like a bird sort of like rapid
chatter like I can't even explain it because we were all standing there looking at each other
when this happened we're like what was that you know all of our hair stood up everything my
arms hair were standing up like and I was like cycling I remember cycling through
animals in my mind, like, trying to pinpoint what this sound was.
And all of us were, we were arguing about it.
Like, I was like, is that coyotes?
He's like, no, it's not because, you got a bird?
We could not figure out, but you could tell that they were getting closer.
So we were getting more scared and more scared and more scared.
It has this thing, and I grabbed my rainbow knife, and I'm like standing there holding my
rainbow knife, and I pulled out my cell phone and I pressed record.
and it stopped behind this kind of stand of trees, like three or four Christmas tree-looking things,
and it was making this noise at us, and you could feel it.
You could feel it in your guts and your bones and stuff.
Like it was like a trilling noise.
Like it was like, it was like inquisitive, but very abrasive.
And it kind of struck me as feminine, and I don't know how.
But it was like doing this over and over.
And then when I pulled my phone up, right, and press record, it totally stopped.
And then my friend starts kind of walking closer and closer, and I'm like, dude, don't.
And he walks up and he almost gets to the trees.
And then a bag of groceries in the pickup truck behind us got knocked.
somehow and spilled and we all flipped around to look at what that noise was and there was nothing there
and then there was nothing behind us and it all vanished like all trace of any noise or it all just went
away it was dead silent and we just didn't even understand what just happened like we didn't know
what was going on.
And for some reason, we stayed,
and I was curled up in a ball in my tent all night with my knife,
just freaked out.
I had no clue what that was.

I will tell you it was not a bird and it was not coyotes.
But whatever it was, the noise it was making was so weird and so
loud that you could feel it.
So the girl, she, she experienced everything almost exactly the same as me.
But my friend that was there, he, like, went into complete denial mode.
Like, he denies that anything weird happened.
He denies that the sound it was made.
It's like nothing.
He won't give it.
He won't even talk about it.
he gets mad.
And I was afraid that I would lose him as a friend, kind of.
So I just stopped talking to him about it.
But that leads me to the video that I took.
When we were listening, we're...
Sorry, Sean.
Is this a different one than what just happened?
No.
No, no.
We were...
I took my phone out and was filming,
and it stopped making the noise right when I took my phone out.
but when we watch the video you could hear a super low growl like for like 10 seconds of when the video starts you could hear it just like but i don't think that was audible to us really yeah so and then that video disappeared off my phone like it's just gone oh man yeah oh that's terrible yeah so that's that and
I can't explain that any more than the others.
I have a few questions for you about that,
because that's an incredible,
that's a wild, wild account that is kind of familiar in a way.
But more the, so you said, well, the three separate sounds were,
did it sound like they were coming from the same creature or maybe from different creatures?
Like the coyote was coming from one,
the bird thing was coming.
from another one or was it hard to tell?
Yeah, it sounded like three things arguing in like a weird coyote bird language.
And the closest thing I've ever heard was anything like it was there's a certain part of the Sierra sounds where they're arguing, I think.
It's like the female one arguing with the male.
And that's the only, there was a little bit of that kind of chatter.
but it sounded like a swarm of coyotes you know and then it would morph kind of into something else and yeah it was it was really weird
so much so much mimicry that gets i mean that had there's just so many different types of of mimicry and
just weird sounds and i'm not sure how to wrap my mind about it the closest i've gotten is
hearing a mimic bird noise and then
I've talked about that before
in some Oakridge episodes but
did the birds sound like any
any bird you've heard before or
no yeah no
we were trying to look up like owl sounds
and ravens
but just nothing
nothing even
so the noises it was making out
us from behind the trees it wasn't like
that wasn't like a bird it was
It was like tongue trills.
Like it was asking us what we were.
And like it was like, I want to make the noise, but I can't even replicate it.
But it was like inquisitive.
Like it would go up at the end like a question, you know?
Oh, sure.
Like weird stuff like that.
It was alien, completely alien.
Well, that's got to freak you out.
I'd man if I start here at that certainly did it certainly did and it I mean I was petrified I've never been that scared in my life I was like a baby yeah and I and I woke up at like three in the morning and like slammed away because I was still scared and my whole body cramped up and I screamed like it was a terrible terrible terrible night oh wow so you just freaked out really I mean yeah it put me off camping for like 10 years dude like since
Then I've only been camping once.
Really?
I just can't.
Can you, I don't think you shared this.
How long did it take you guys to get into that area?
Like how long a drive into the woods is that?
It's probably about 45 minutes away from the nearest half hour from the nearest town.
Okay.
But you're way out there, it sounds like, like just you're in the woods for sure.
It's up in the mountain.
Yeah, it's like, you know, you see like cabins and stuff on the roads up to it, but the
Forest Service Road is, you know, nobody lives on that.
And then it was like an offshoot from that Forest Service Road.
So it was pretty isolated.
How, I guess, what general year or how old were you around when this happened?
This was not too long ago.
this so I want to say like probably 2017 something like that because I know I had my kids and I went on
this trip to kind of take a vacation for the weekend with my friends you know and I left the
kids with my mom and I went up there and definitely had a story to tell when I came back yeah absolutely
so you have just recently gone out camping again it sounds like it's just yeah just went this year okay
yeah yeah
I just took the kids up the first time they've ever been camping this year.
And funny enough, we went to the same place.
Oh, how did that go?
But it was so many people there that, yeah, nothing weird.
So many people now.
Oh, the camping supplies that you guys found up there,
were they just like someone had left in the hurry or just someone making a mess or?
After all this happened, I figured that they just took off.
Yep.
They got the same thing probably happened to them and they left everything there.
Absolutely.
I would agree with you.
That's what I was thinking about in the background.
I was like,
I bet those dudes skidaddled out of there and just left everything.
Yep.
And I probably would have too if my friend wasn't so.
He was the rational mind at that point, you know.
Like, we're fine.
Let's camp.
We're going to be all right.
Nothing weird happened.
I was like, okay, man, I'm freaking out, though.
I don't know what that was.
Right, exactly.
So Cooper Lake, was this at the campground that's by Cooper Lake?
No, it was snow prevented us from getting all the way to the campground.
So we went off the road off to the side somewhere.
Oh, so this is off, this is off base camping.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Okay, yeah.
Wow.
Oh, this is very interesting.
We found that spot that had a fire pit already,
and everybody's stuff was there,
but it was definitely not in the campground.
So that's a lot of primitive camping.
Yeah, I'd be curious if anyone else has had stuff go down in that area as well.
We'll see if I'll watch is out.
Oh, yeah, I looked it up.
Oh, you did?
Yeah, what did you find?
There's been something like 10,
sightings there over the past 80 years or something like that,
but I'd imagine that's a pretty old figure.
Because when I looked it up, it was back then right after it happened.
Okay.
Was that on BFRO or what?
Yeah, yeah.
I think so.
And those numbers might not be accurate.
That's just kind of recollection.
I looked it up and I know I confirmed other people had seen it there.
And I never saw nothing, but.
Oh, wow.
you know, definitely something happened.
Did you actually talk to other people that have had sightings in that area?
No, no.
But the BFRO called me because I reported it on their site.
So they called me and took down the info, but nothing ever came of it.
It's probably in the back database somewhere.
Yeah, but that's a different story.
So around 2017, is that the most,
the most recent thing that you've experienced then?
Yeah, I think so.
That was what prevented me from, and I kind of had this like I wanted to go camping,
but I was kind of just too freaked out.
I totally get it.
I mean, I hear that story so many times where, you know, people don't go back for 10 years
or more easy.
And the stuff that people report, I don't blame them, to be honest.
it would be tough for me as well.
When you went back to that area,
so when you went back there,
was it to the same exact area then,
or just kind of a similar area?
We went to the campground because I couldn't find,
I looked for that spot.
I looked for where we pulled off and everything.
It was kind of different season.
So I don't know if we never found that spot again.
Like we looked that weekend and couldn't
find it. I think we were off
the road a little more than we realized.
Sure.
So just driving around there, I couldn't
find it. But I remember
I came home and I put a pushpin in
the map.
I was like, yep, they're there.
Wow. And there you
go, which is
trying to, what
county is that?
I think that would be
shoot, I don't know,
bursting or? No.
Kittitas County
Kittitas sounds right, yeah
I'll have to look that one up
so I can just get familiar with it
Yeah
I would like to go back up there
In the winter again
Because you know
There's no people up there
I want to see
I have this drive to do that
I don't know why
But
I'm not as scared anymore I guess
It wore
It wore off a little bit
And I was able to go camping this year and nothing weird happened.
And so, yeah, I kind of want to go in the winter, but I can't get anyone to go with me.
Gotcha.
So you do have a desire to experience something again or maybe even have another visual?
I think it's just the part of me that wants concrete proof, you know, even though I know something isn't right.
and it's not acknowledged by the people it should be acknowledged by.
I want more answers.
That's just kind of who I am.
I'm right there with you.
Have, you know, you have spent quite a long time really reading stuff, researching different things and experiencing some things as well.
Have you come to any ideas about what it is?
that you think the whole
Sasquatch
creature is what we're dealing with
or just one big mystery?
I mean, I think the ones I saw in the sand lawns
are a different thing than these other ones.
But my own weird theories about
why the government covers it up and all that,
but I think that there's something about them.
Maybe they have ability
that we could have cultivated but didn't is kind of what I lean towards, you know,
if we let our pineal gland develop and,
and used the senses, you know, that we should use.
Right. Exactly.
We might have those abilities, mind speak, that kind of stuff that's sending a picture to me.
I don't think that's too far-fetched, you know,
because there are people that exhibit those kinds of abilities,
and it's proven, you know, the military uses, you know.
Absolutely, yeah, they have a lot of stuff like that that you can look into in some little
documents.
Yeah, no doubt, man.
Absolutely.
I'm there with you.
Do you think there's a lot of cover up that goes on out there in the Pacific Northwest?
Do you think that's just something you read on Reddit every once in a while?
Yeah.
Kind of concerned.
because every correspondence I've had with Wes has been deleted off my Gmail and my phone.
Every correspondence I've had with Sibylla, the artist that she does the sketching encounters.
Sybilla Irwin, yeah.
Yeah, she's awesome, by the way.
She is great.
Yeah, all of it's gone.
I can't get a hold of her or him.
Everything's deleted.
I really liked her sketches.
They're gone.
you know, like, so I don't know why would they pay attention to little old me, but maybe it's just a keyword sweep that goes through and takes things out like a virus or something.
But if it's that complicated, yeah, there's something going on.
Oh, absolutely.
There's a question I'm just going to start asking everyone from the Pacific Northwest.
the whole Mount St. Helens thing, and there's a story about where someone saw the helicopters flying over with the big foot in the, you know, net or whatever.
Yeah.
Do you think that's just a passed around story, or have you ever heard anything substantial about that?
I've heard stories from people that the National Guardsmen leaked in for.
I've heard the doctors leaked information.
I've heard there was a Native American dude that was going around with them in a pickup truck to check on different cave systems to make sure some of them were still alive or if they were dead or burned.
There's so many weird specific little stories from Mount St. Helens that it's kind of, it's pretty believable, you know?
I mean, it's very interesting.
It's a thing where I'm probably going to try to track it down more now.
But are those things you've heard on other podcasts or you've actually read or talked to people about them?
I remember those stories from before the internet.
Really?
Yeah, I knew people that went up to Mount St. Holland's to look for Bigfoot back in the day.
Like my friend's dad used to take us up there with his hidden agenda of trying to look for Bigfoot.
And, you know.
That's good.
So, yeah, it's just always been in the lore around here.
And, you know, definitely a lot of people deny that it's happening or that there's anything going on.
But you got to, you got to, one person might be lying, but thousands and thousands is just not credible, you know.
Yeah, it just seems to look over, overlook.
Or say that everyone's lying, you know.
Yeah, I just can't see that as calling me a liar.
Exactly.
And so I'll kind of open up the Pandora's box on this.
So if anyone listening has a connection with an individual that I can actually talk to about maybe Bigfoot being carted off after the Mount St. Helen's eruption, reach out.
you email me at bigfoot society at gmail.com all those individuals would probably be getting pretty old now
but um you know that's why it's important to talk to them if they're still around so uh throw that out
there see if anyone wants to uh send an email over but uh that would be fantastic that would be that would
be pretty incredible but uh sean this has been a just a fascinating uh conversation about a few different
places in the Pacific Northwest.
But do you have any final closing thoughts before we, we finished our conversation together?
Not really.
I just, you know, thank you.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for not judging me.
And, you know, you don't, you don't get to talk about this stuff with anybody, you know,
you don't want to ruin relationships and you don't want to be looked at at work, like,
a certain way.
and it's just really nice to have an outlet.
And it's really nice that, you know, you provide that for people.
And I appreciate you.
Thank you.
There is something I'd want to address before we go out.
After the Oak Ridge thing, I made the mistake of telling a few people that are not Bigfoot people about things I experienced.
And I now know what it is like to unfortunately lose relationships or be,
looked at in a different way. So, Sean, I'm right there with you. I'm not just helping people,
but I'm also starting to work through this myself. So thank you for chatting with me today.
And hopefully we can all continue to figure this out together. But thanks so much for coming on
the show. Thank you. You have a good rest of your day.

Her and I can get on here, we can tell our stories.
Maybe there's somebody else out there listening that's too afraid to tell their story.
Maybe this will give them the courage to come out.
And now I feel so bad about it.
Who cares what anybody thinks?
I know what I saw.
I know what's out there.
That's all I care about.
Please let people know.
Please let them know if you ever see one of these things.
You need to tell.
Because if you don't, then shame on you.
You know, shame on you.

All right, quick switch, because I want to tell you about one of our favorite sponsors, vital proteins.
But I can't really talk about vital proteins without talking about collagen first.
So, did you know that collagen makes up one-third of all the protein in your body?
That's a lot of collagen.
But our natural collagen production starts to dip at the age of 30, give or take.
a few years. So adding collagen peptides daily feels like a really simple way to support what your
body already does. Now I know you've seen vital proteins collagen peptides iconic blue tub
around before. It's literally everywhere. I mean, it is one of the most recognized collagen supplements
out there. And there's a real reason it's so popular. It supports healthy hair, skin, nails, bones,
and joints. Vital proteins has become a part of my daily routine. I mix it into my morning coffee or my
smoothie. It's really easy. You can't even taste it. And it fits right into my day so I can feel my best.
For me, it's about staying strong and showing up fully every single day. It just fits into my life.
I'm betting it will fit into yours too. You can add a serving to your morning coffee, your tea,
smoothies, or oatmeal, into whatever you're already having. And it dissolves easily with the
neutral taste and no extra steps. Like I said, it fits right into your life. People use it for different
reasons, some for beauty benefits, some for joint support. But for me, it's all about building a daily
habit I can actually stick to. And that's the key with collagen peptides, consistency. One serving every
day to support your hair, skin, nails, bones, and joints. And right now, you can get 20% off your next
order by going to vitalproteins.com and using promo code wide open 20 at checkout.
