Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each one leaves us with more questions than answers. These are the voices of the people who've lived it. So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way you see the woods forever. So stay with us. Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer. For more updates about his medical journey, please go to the Caring Bridge link in the show notes.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Thank you. All right, Bigfoot Society, you've got the privilege of talking to Greg today. Greg has been a listener of the show. I think we got connected over there on one of those social media networks. But Greg was able to come on the show to share about some. encounters he's had over the years, a little bit of information about Greg to set the stage. He is an outdoorsman, an electrician from out there in Connecticut, likes to fish too. So he's one of those guys that is out there in the outdoors.
Starting point is 00:01:19 And things happen when you're doing that. So Greg, welcome to the show. How are you doing today, sir? I am doing well. Thank you for having me. absolutely i don't get a lot of uh a lot of interviews from connectic you know from connecticut but there is a great amount that happens in that state so it's always good uh if something happens to get it documented so i'm very uh excited to talk to you today but uh Greg is there
Starting point is 00:01:51 anything is there anything else that we would need to know about you uh before we get started with with what you've gone through over the years. No, no, I think that's, you covered it. I mean, it's basically, I'm just an everyday guy. I'm not, you know, like I don't get into this stuff normally. I don't research this. I've done some research after I had the first encounter, which I'll talk about. But other than that, that's me.
Starting point is 00:02:20 I'm just a normal dude. I grew up in a big city, Fairfield County, outside of New York City. And this wasn't on my radar. You know, I did everyday things. You saw, you know, things in the zoo. You know, you knew what was outside. Well, you thought you knew what was outside. And then you see these things and you don't know what to do or what to think.
Starting point is 00:02:48 So you look them up and then you find out, you know, some things. So basically that's it. I'm just a normal guy that had two encounters. And I know what I saw. I mean, it was plain as day. And I think those are some of the most interesting accounts to hear is when it's an individual. They're just out there doing their thing. And then they run into something they weren't expecting to see.
Starting point is 00:03:21 No, Greg, before we get into the first encounter. that you had, what was your viewpoint of Bigfoot before then? Or was it even on your radar at all? No, like I said, no, it was, I had watched, like, the paranormal shows that might have been on TV, like, on, you know, like cable TV in the early 2000s. Maybe the odd UFO show, like, you know, in search of or whatever. But, you know, I saw Harry and the Henderson's, are at Wendezons. way back. I don't even remember if it was an 80s or 90s movie, but I didn't like it. I thought
Starting point is 00:04:01 it was stupid. I thought it was ridiculous, not stupid. It was like, what is this thing? You know, I was like, whatever, Bigfoot. Anything that I saw about Bigfoot happened to do with the, what they called the Patterson Gimlin, the famous footage, because that was always on like late night TV. If you saw something about Bigfoot, it was that. That was it. It was it. now that I you know you think about it you're like that yeah that was it so when this happened no like i said i was i was out in the woods just in trying to enjoy the day in a new part of the country that i had never been in and this happened so yeah let's let's get right into it then so you're first going to take us out to the west coast to an area that yeah it was calaveras county
Starting point is 00:04:54 and more specifically Alpine County. I lived in Calaveras County in a town called Arnold up on Route 4 in Northern California in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. And I lived up there in a cabin, a friend of mine needed somebody staying there just to maintain the place basically in the wintertime because it was in the middle of nowhere. and it's a we went up to a park up in alpine county which is up this route for about 30 40 minutes and it's a well you know well traveled park people visit it all the time it's in the um stanislaus national forest it borders the el dorado and the stanislaus on route four that's the border of it
Starting point is 00:05:49 So I guess the south side is the Santa slas and the north side is El Dorado National Forest. And so a lot of people go up there. There's a lake up there. A lot of hiking, fishing, outdoors, you know, people swim. So I had moved up there. This is 2010. I had moved up there in January. and this is in July, July 4th, to be exact.
Starting point is 00:06:22 It was the 4th of July. We went up, three friends of mine decided we had nothing planned, so we're going to get some food, bring it up there, bring up a little portable grill with some charcoal and cook some food up there. They have picnic tables and little eating areas along the lake, Lake Alpine. And mind you, In the wintertime, this area is closed from October to April because of the amounts of snow that they get up in that area.
Starting point is 00:06:57 And in fact, Alpine County doesn't even operate four-wheel drive vehicles. They patrol their county by helicopter in the winter. It's so rugged up there because of the snowfalls. The amounts of, it's crazy. They get like 25 feet or winter up there. So this is like no man's land But in the summertime People come up there
Starting point is 00:07:22 They visit the parks They go further up the roads And Bear Bear Valley Oh yeah it's Bear Valley Ski Resort is up there So that's a well-known Ski Resort in California Northern California
Starting point is 00:07:39 In any case this is right along that area We get up there July 4th, there's still snow in the parking lot that was plowed. That was, you know, sitting up on the, like, on the sides of the parking lot where they had plowed it up from just a couple months ago. And it's July in California and there's snow. I'm like, you know, this is crazy already, you know. We get out of the car and we were just unpacking the stuff and there was, uh, myself,
Starting point is 00:08:15 two other males and a female. And we're all about the same age. We're about 35 years old at the time, so we're not kids. No drugs, no alcohol, no nothing. We just brought food up. And funny enough, I'm going to tell you about smoking up there. I'd smoke cigarettes at the time.
Starting point is 00:08:41 And in a national park in California, you, they have laws because of the wildfires. They don't even allow you to smoke. If, you know, like, Park Ranger sees you doing it, they're going to give you a pretty hefty fine. I heard it's like $800. So it was a no-no. Anyway, so there's nothing going on with drugs or alcohol or any of that fun stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:08 So you can light a grill in the, in the, picnic areas only. And went up there unpacking the food, whatnot, get all the stuff unpacked, everybody sitting around the picnic table and looking at the lake. And because there's snow on the ground still, the water is really cold still. It was like probably 50 degrees. So nobody wanted to go swimming. We had plans.
Starting point is 00:09:36 We brought like swimsuits thinking that it might be, you know, cool to jump in. but it was too cold. So we were all just kind of sitting around and I had never been out and seen that scenery out there. I'm from the, like I said, the East Coast near New York from City Boy. This is totally, this is like a different place, like a different land to me. So I wanted to go take a hike and I said to, and I smoked and I think I was the only one at the time we smoked cigarettes.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And I wanted to go hide and smoke a cigarette. And so I'll take a hike, you know, whatever. So I went up across the road into the northern part of the Route 4, which is, I guess, El Dorado National Forest, is Lake Alpine. So people can find exactly where I am. There's a hill or a mountain or a foothill. This is the Sierra Nevada's. I don't know what you call it.
Starting point is 00:10:42 We're probably at maybe 8,000 feet right now where we are. So we're pretty high up in elevation. But the local terrain in the Sierra's kind of rolls, and it depends on where you are if it dips and it gets really steep. But for the most part, it's like granite fields mixed with like pines and other types of brush and whatnot, Manzanita. So I found
Starting point is 00:11:13 I went up a hill and there was no hiking trail. I just shugged up this hill. You know, whatever. Didn't know what I was doing. Didn't know if that was even cool people doing that, but I did it. So
Starting point is 00:11:30 I found this boulder probably about 500 yards from the parking lot. And I couldn't see the parking lot. It was totally overgrown. There's so many trees there. It's thick. And I found this boulder, and it had an overlook if I look to my left and to my right and in front of me was up the hill because it went up hundreds and hundreds of feet. I don't know how long.
Starting point is 00:11:59 And it just kept going. I couldn't tell. And I wasn't going to go that far up. So anyway, I was looking around, you know, the mountain in the woods of Timmy. my right and straight up from me like 12 o'clock is you know trees and the sky and this this this incline and then the lake's over on the left and so kind of you know just looking around I'm like all right I'm gonna smoke my cigarette here so pulled out packed cigarettes lit one up sitting there smoking it and I was like this is great you know I made it all the way out here
Starting point is 00:12:35 from the east coast I'm like this looks awesome you know this is is a beautiful. It's so beautiful out here. California is a beautiful state. I don't care where you are. Southern California, Northern California, wherever. It's got such diverse landscape. It's beautiful. So in any case, I'm looking around, you know, I'm smoking the cigarette and blah, blah, blah. And I ended up finishing the cigarette and made sure I put it out and, you know, everything was good. and I saved the butt. I put it in my pocket, you know, didn't want to litter, didn't want to be the one to do that.
Starting point is 00:13:17 So anyway, I'm just sitting there after for like three or four minutes. And I'm looking around and I'm looking in the woods and just checking things out. And there's a squirrel that comes down. In the squirrel, it's like a gray squirrel that you might see anywhere, like in a park in your backyard. this thing's huge it's like half the size of a domestic cat
Starting point is 00:13:43 I'm like I've never seen a scroll that big and it's just walking up to me he's just like probably like 10 feet away and I'm like what's it doing I'm like you know and it's walking
Starting point is 00:14:00 it's not like hopping it's like kind of just each leg is moving one at a time I never saw that before. I never saw the size of a squirrel that big. It was bigger than a rabbit that I normally saw, you know, back in the East Coast, whatever. And another one appears.
Starting point is 00:14:26 I didn't see that coming. And they kind of joined up within a couple feet. And this is about 20, 25 feet away from me. And they're looking right at me. Like they got eyes on me making sure I'm not maybe coming at them or something or whatever. I'm sitting on a boulder, so I'm probably not too, you know, they're probably not, you know, worry about me. And they kind of skitter off right after I'm talking 10 seconds. My gaze goes 25 feet where the squirrels were, 20, 25 feet maybe.
Starting point is 00:15:08 a little bit up this incline. And then, I'm not joking, this is like the weirdest thing. It's like a fairy tale. It's like Disney. I see what they call a black tail deer, a mule deer. It's a pretty big size, like it looks like a white tail deer, just black. Well, they look more like a small elk. And it was pretty big. It's like the squirrel.
Starting point is 00:15:38 It's like, what is everything out here bigger too? It's like, what is going on? And this thing is about 40, 40 yards away up the hill. But it's walking down. And it's walking like the squirrel is. Well, kind of like the squirrel. It's just, it's not like running. It's not hopping.
Starting point is 00:16:01 It's just walking. Every, like, you know, every hoof or whatever is touching the ground. and it's it's looking down and it's looking back at me or at least in my direction i don't know looking at me but and i'm still i'm like what is going on here as i'm looking at this thing i don't know i don't know like how you would say like uh it wasn't it was in my peripheral vision maybe i see something about 10 yards further, but a little bit to the left. And it gets up.
Starting point is 00:16:47 And it's huge. I mean, freaking huge. And it blocks out, well, it was behind a tree. And you can see there was sun, the sun was shining from some direction up there. You could see the silhouette of its body. but fur sticking off like the skin, like maybe an inch or two. So you could see that definition of the body versus the fur in the, in the, the silhouette of the sunlight or whatever. And this thing gets up.
Starting point is 00:17:26 And I mean, it was, I didn't even care about the deer anymore. I don't even know. I think the deer ran off further to my left will kind of walk away. I'm looking at this thing and I'm like, there's a monster up there. And all of a sudden, I'm like, what am I going to do? I'm like, I'm like, there's a lot of distance between me and that parking lot. And there's something, you know, not far away. It's like 60, 70 yards maybe.
Starting point is 00:18:06 It was up a hill, so it's hard to judge. and there's there's a lot of stuff up there, so it's not flat, and it's, it's hard to judge, but I'm just guessing. I used to shoot rifles, and they were like 25, 50, and 100 yards. So that's basically when I'm judging my gauge on.
Starting point is 00:18:29 In any case, I saw this thing. It gets up, and it kind of, it's behind the tree, like half behind the tree, like half behind the tree like you only see half it and it looks like a it has a huge head it has a cone head like kind of like a cone head and you can see the arms come down to almost its knees or where like or where the bone its legs were i guess that would be the knee the bone its leg that was sticking out
Starting point is 00:19:03 but the rest of it was kind of i don't know if it was angled or whatever i think it might have been because then it started to turn and move away from me. And it started walking. And when I saw it move away, that was my cue to get out of there. Now, this was 2010. I had like a flip phone. I had like, you know, I might have had a camera on that phone,
Starting point is 00:19:35 but I didn't never used it for like anything decent. And so it wasn't like, Well, I'm like, oh, I'll pull out your phone or something like that. Even this encounter, I'll tell you later, I had a decent phone and I didn't do that. But in any case, this thing walked until I couldn't see it anymore, and I wasn't going to go follow up the hill to see where it went or to try to make contact with it. It was massive. I mean, like, the biggest thing I've ever seen in my life on land. that's I don't know how big you could say it was I mean at least eight foot at least eight nine feet
Starting point is 00:20:19 something like that eight nine eight to ten foot I would say easy easy and when it walked away it kept look I well I don't know how it looked at me twice I saw it walk probably about 20 to 30 yards up this incline and mind you there were there were some rocks and things that were in the way so at points I only saw half of it or
Starting point is 00:20:47 you know whatever but it did look back at me to see maybe if I was going to follow it and like I said I thought I was like this is my cue to turn go the opposite way I'm like I don't know what that was but
Starting point is 00:21:04 now when it looked back at me I didn't see any type of facial feature all I could tell because of the sun was that it had paused for a second and the whole body swayed like it wasn't just the neck or the shoulders in the neck but the whole body rotated
Starting point is 00:21:33 like at the waist maybe and looked at me like twice. That's what I saw going up there and I'm like, what is that? You know, I had things running through my head like, is that a person? I'm like, there's no like, I saw a hair. It wasn't like I saw clothes like jeans and a t-shirt or, you know, something like that or even no, you know, no clothes.
Starting point is 00:22:00 It wasn't anything like that. And the shape of it and the size of it, I mean, I didn't know what it was at the time until I didn't say here's the thing when I got back down in that parking lot I ran down that hill pretty much and probably almost killed myself on the way down I don't remember but I got down that that thing in half the time that it took me to get up it or whatever but when I got down there I didn't tell them a thing I was, there's, like I said, there was three other people with me. And they're like, you know, how do you have fun?
Starting point is 00:22:50 Something like that, you know, like, whatever. I didn't think they cared if I answered them. And I was like, yeah, it was great. And that was it. That's all that happened. And, um, I, You know, I thought about this and why didn't I say anything to them? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Maybe they would just think I'm nuts and, you know, I didn't want to be the guy from the east. They're all from that area. And, you know, I didn't want to be the guy from the East Coast seeing something stupid out in the woods. And then, you know, who knows what it was. I'm pretty sure I know what it was, but now. So anyway. So Greg, that is an absolutely fascinating encounter. I do have some questions for you to go through.
Starting point is 00:23:54 So if you had to summarize what it was that was in your mind, what your body was feeling, what made you want to get away from that area so quick when you got a chance to get away? because it was looking at me, it was huge. I was looking at my direction, so I imagine it was looking at me. Maybe it was looking at the deer. Maybe it was following the deer. And then I thought later, I'm like, maybe it was there the whole time. And I sort of remember it getting like maybe from a squatting position.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Maybe something like that, like getting up. And that's, yeah, that's what me. made it caught my eye from the deer, and that's what brought me to a little to the left, is it got up. Or maybe if it wasn't squatting down on its haunches, I got the feeling it was looking at me. And I felt weird when the squirrel was around. I felt weird when the deer was around, and the two animals that I saw were acting pretty cautious. and I thought it was me,
Starting point is 00:25:12 but I'm thinking maybe it was that thing. I don't know. Okay. So was there any time when sometimes people will report weird feelings or just they know that something's affecting them physically. Were there any feelings that were out of the ordinary during this encounter? No, absolutely. Like I said before it, it was almost bliss. I was like, man, I'm so happy to be out here.
Starting point is 00:25:46 It's so nice. It's great to be out in this, this, you know, gorgeous to scenery, you know, whatever. And then I see these animals and I'm like, that's cool. You know, I'm thinking, I'm like, this is cool. You know, I'm like, these two squirrels, they're huge. And then this, what I found out later is a mule deer. and then it turns into like a horror movie wow so you know the mute cue the music you know that type of thing yeah yeah exactly my goodness bliss and the terror yeah um how long would you say the
Starting point is 00:26:24 entire time was that you had visual eyes on it um there i would say a good almost a minute my goodness Maybe just over a minute with him walking, with it walking away. I don't know if it's male or female, but yeah. Yeah, it was, it wasn't, it wasn't quick, but it wasn't like we had a conversation. Right. And I got his email address. Yeah, exactly. Man, so I'm just trying to put your, well, I had it.
Starting point is 00:27:07 So at the time, you're horrified, you want to get out of there. No. So it's different. you know what it when that thing moved away and I got off that boulder and I got back down to the parking lot and buy my three friends and there was a car there and nothing else was going on and I saw that thing walk the total opposite way and and I mean when when I say walk it wasn't like it wasn't like a human walk and man this thing moved just like they say not like it was running but when it walked it was walking probably
Starting point is 00:27:51 three to four times as fast as a human okay up a hill like up a massive hill I would say this thing was at least 30 degrees this hill a 30 degree incline
Starting point is 00:28:07 gotcha yeah how was it placing it's it so you definitely got a few more than a few seconds to look at how it was walking. Did you notice anything about how it was placing its feet or how its gate was? No. I don't I don't remember. I don't I didn't see any feet. And in fact, if I think about right about right where you would have like the shins on a human maybe like
Starting point is 00:28:38 between the knee and the foot is about as far down as I saw it because I saw the knees, I saw the one knee from where its hand was placed down on its side. And I'm like, that looks like, I mean, it, it looked crazy. Like, it didn't look like a human. Right. But I mean, you know, I have, you know, two legs and two arms and a head. So it was humanoid, but it wasn't, I wasn't a human, especially with that amount of hair and the size of it. I'm like, whoa.
Starting point is 00:29:13 And that's what froze me. is the fear that you get is like, it's like these flashes. It's like, I call them hot flashes. They're like, it's that fight or fight, fight or fight or flight. A feeling that you get, it's like that, that dose of whatever it is
Starting point is 00:29:40 that your body injects, like get out of there. Sure. I sat there and watched it. and made sure that it wasn't going to come after me. And it moved away. And I was like, okay, now I can get the out of here without having to worry about, like, screaming, like, help me to everyone back at that parking lot. That's basically why I sat there and watched it.
Starting point is 00:30:05 So it was like a minute, maybe just over a minute. Yeah, it's, it's, I watched it. Yeah. It sounded like you were really experiencing a total, rush of adrenaline during this. I mean, it sounds like it was very, very intense for you. Yeah, if I can, you know, it's like,
Starting point is 00:30:23 you know, like something just went down like you got into a car action or, you know, it's, it's that total, that total grim, just bad feeling. Right. You know, and it's like, you're in danger.
Starting point is 00:30:40 You know, do something about it feeling. Absolutely. Absolutely. How wide across would you say, if you're, let's say, at the shoulders, how wide across would you estimate? When this thing stood up, like I said, there was probably a tree there that wasn't very large, but it was probably about just from, you know, from the profile from left to right or right to left, it would be maybe 20 inches. and like I said, I think this thing was angling. Because when it moved away and started walking up and walking away from me, it looked a lot bigger.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Like just the silhouette of it. And you got some definition because it would go under some trees that was shading it from the sunlight. And I could see it was brown with some black hair mixed in, maybe even some gray when it turned its face towards me, but I can't really remember that. Okay, gotcha. But it might turn back and made sure that I, at least I think it made sure that I wasn't trying to follow it.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Makes sense. And I just want to double check something. So it sounds like you weren't able to see facial details because of the sunlight, correct? well that and this thing had a I mean if you could if you could with Star Wars
Starting point is 00:32:18 Chubaca right the impression that I got was that its face was mostly hair besides the mouth and eyes something like that Chewbacca style like you know look
Starting point is 00:32:38 okay it was it had a lot of it had or maybe its hair that was on its head was coming down i don't know it it was kind of like gilly shoot um you know type of uh type of silhouette it was undefined you know it was hard to say you know if the if the face was bare or if it had hair or if the hair was just coming around its face I couldn't really tell. And at this point, like I said, it was moving away, and it only did that twice, and maybe, I just remember that.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Like, the one time I got a better frontal view of maybe its face than the second time. And when I did, I definitely knew it wasn't a human. I mean, it looked like Chewbacca type of thing. thing sure yeah that makes you know and i i didn't think a big foot i thought it was some kind of monster like literally like some kind of what they would call a cryptid you know but i did that term wasn't in my vocabulary at the time i learned that afterward absolutely you know like i'm like what is that
Starting point is 00:33:59 i'm like this is crazy you know ran down the hill got back to them you know acted like everything was great, you know, eat some hot dogs, some hamburgers, called it a day, drove back down the hill and we were done. Okay. Interesting. Just a few more questions about this one. Were there any smells, or did you notice any weird smells
Starting point is 00:34:22 or sounds that could have been related to it? No, and that was the funny thing, is maybe because I was smoking, well, I hadn't been smoking for a few minutes, but maybe that, a attracted something to me because they smelled something foreign.
Starting point is 00:34:43 And they're like, what is that? Could have been. But I didn't notice any kind of when I wasn't smoked now. It wasn't like I smelled something foul or good or, you know, or heard something. And like I said, I just saw these two squirrels, this deer and then this thing. Okay. thinking about the way it was built did it remind you of any
Starting point is 00:35:11 sports figures or actors in the term of like muscular build um it was big like it wasn't just like it was it wasn't it was tall so I can't say it looks like Shaquille O'Neal
Starting point is 00:35:34 it was taller than Shaquille oh yeah sure um it wasn't exactly his build because it was bigger than him too. But, I mean, it would be kind of, you know, kind of that. It wasn't like you were stacked, like, you know, it was a V torso. And, you know, I couldn't see that much anyway, but it didn't look like that.
Starting point is 00:35:58 It just, you know, it didn't look, it didn't look human. And the head, the thing with the head and arm, the length of the arm, and that sloping long. head. Like a human's head, you know, you get the forehead, but for the most part, it goes up a little bit at like the crest of the cranium and then it slows back. You know, the human's head is more elongated towards the back. Right. Um, then it is tall. But this thing was like what people describe now, as I've heard later, as having that like, as much as I could see it um that kind of longer conish head you know because you could see the brow when the thing
Starting point is 00:36:53 kind of turned i remember this you know and i saw the gray hair and the in the face you could see the brow line but the top of the head was significantly higher you know maybe maybe like 10 inches I mean, eight, ten inches maybe. Are you saying it had like a pronounced brow ridge, like it stuck out a lot, that kind of thing? No, just the size of the cone head or the cream-shaped head. It was just, it was one look, didn't look like a human. Okay. Very interesting.
Starting point is 00:37:27 So, yeah. Have you ever, let's say some people, I guess, we'll talk about this in a minute, But some witnesses will really dive into it and they will look into the area where they had their encounter. Is that something you've ever done? And have you found anything else that has happened in that same area reported? Yeah. Well, just to continue this story a little bit, this happened in July and July 4th. And then six months later, I went to a Christmas party.
Starting point is 00:38:03 the woman who owned the house that I was living in, who asked me to come from the East Coast out there. She was an older lady. And she lived about an hour away. She had a Christmas party. And she knew a bunch of people out there. And it was, you know, she had like 30, 40 people over her house for this Christmas party. And we went over to her house.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And just a, a short thing about this. We got into a conversation about me. It was myself, her, and her best friend, who's a female. And they said, oh, yeah, you're from the East Coast.
Starting point is 00:38:49 You know, blah, blah, blah. This must be, you know, totally different for you out here. I'm like, yeah, it's, there's a lot of things that are, you know, the same, obviously, but there's obviously differences. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:01 and and I don't know how I got onto it I don't remember I try to this day I try to remember how I said it but I don't think I said it just like this but I basically said I'm like like Bigfoot I'm like you guys didn't know anything about Bigfoot this is the first time I'm mentioning anything about this to anybody out there after this happened and these two weren't there and they're like, oh, yeah. They're like, you guys on the East Coast treat it like it's a myth, like a legend. They're like the McCollomay, the McCollumay Indians out here. Yeah, the McCollumay. And which are in Jackson, California, which is just, you know, like 30 minutes away. They have all sorts of legends. They have rock carvings of Bigfoot and the Sasquatch or whatever they called it.
Starting point is 00:40:01 natively. And she's like, yeah, we, and she goes, when I was a kid, she goes, I live not far from here. And my father used to see these huge, like, huge, like, snow shoe huge size footprints around our house at night in the snow, in the wintertime. And things would bang on the side of the house. They're like, this stuff happens up here. They're like, we just don't see it, you know, like a lot of us don't see it directly. So we just kind of treat it as, you know, like some strange bird in the woods that you might hear, but who cares? That type of thing.
Starting point is 00:40:48 And I'm like, really? Okay. That was it. Off the subject. Talk about something else. So I'm filed that away. you know in the archive and um went on my business so in that was 2010 and my second um which i wasn't expecting at all um happened in 20 2021 in the heat of COVID during the social distancing you know thing that was going
Starting point is 00:41:30 on. And in between that time, I did some looking things up. In that show, Finding Bigfoot, I think it was called, was on TV. Right. And I had seen it on and off. And I'm like, bingo. I'm like, that's what it was. I'm like, that's exactly what it was, you know.
Starting point is 00:41:55 And that led me to go looking things up. I don't want to mention these names, but, you know, websites that have to do with this stuff. and videos on certain social media or whatever. And checking things out and then going, wow, this is crazy. Like, this stuff happens. Like, this isn't just that quote-unquote Patterson Gimlin stuff that happened in like the 60s or whatever it was. You know, this doesn't just happen on the West Coast. you know and I'm like
Starting point is 00:42:32 this is crazy interesting seeing that I had been out in the woods a lot but it was East Coast woods it was like it was woods that are wind in between suburban areas that you know
Starting point is 00:42:50 when you get out west and you see some of the forest out there and some of the open expanses you're like I don't even know what woods were you know, what I would consider, you know, the wilderness. It changes your world. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:43:06 So, I mean, it depends on where you are on the East Coast. There's some big open areas out here, of course. But for the most part, where people live are pretty tight-knit little areas, like a park or, you know, just a couple acres of woods behind the house, that sandwich between two residential areas that kids cut through on their bikes or whatever. That's all you experience most of the time. So, you know, I started looking at something. I'm like, that's crazy. And then I'm out here. I moved back.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I'm in Connecticut now. I live near Yukon University, the big basketball school up here in Mansfield, Connecticut. And it's a farm area. It's a suburban. rural slash farm bedroom community. A lot of people travel to the capital of the state to work every day. But there are a lot of retirees that don't leave the house. It don't, you know, go outside of much.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I don't really, you know, care what goes on around them. There's a lot of wildlife that has moved back into the area from people don't believe that it still exists. around here like moose and bear or back in Connecticut. I heard you're from Western Mass, am I correct? Yes, sir. Northfield, the Franklin
Starting point is 00:44:41 County up there and where the three states go together, yep. So we get a lot of wildlife down from Western Mass, and then you have the Adirondack National Park in New York, which is not far
Starting point is 00:44:57 away. Connecticut's such a small state that you could probably fit for Connecticut's in the Adirond Act. That park is so big. I didn't know this until like a year ago that that park can rival some of the parks up in Alaska. It's so big. Oh, sure. Yeah. So I'm not sure about that.
Starting point is 00:45:31 So everything in there is protected, meaning it's a wildlife refuge. And a lot of things travel over into Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont. And what I found out is there are sightings of these Bigfoot all over Connecticut. And you would, you know, you're like Connecticut, that's, you know, kind of highly populated, small little condensed state that you wouldn't associate. with Bigfoot. I mean, it doesn't have sightings like Washington or Texas or Florida, or California. You know, but for being so small, they're here. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:13 People apparently have seen them. You know, you have the Connecticut. We have three pretty large rivers, two of them being fairly large, the Connecticut River and the Hoosotonic River. And that Connecticut River, it travels, you know, know, Barkhamstead Reservoir, they've seen them there. Oh, that's a hot spot, dude. Yep. Yeah, they've seen them all through, you know, I mean, the Connecticut River starts in, I think Canada goes all the way through Vermont, you know, whatnot.
Starting point is 00:46:44 In any case, it goes all the way down to Long Island Sound, and they've seen them down by Long Island Sound, down by the Salt Flats, like off 9, or Interstate 95, like one of the most traveled interstates in the country, they're within sight of that highway sometimes, apparently. They've got reports of them in Waterford, in Niantic. And I'm like, this is incredible. I'm like, that's crazy that they're right in Groton, like right down there where they build the submarines.
Starting point is 00:47:21 And I'm like, that's nuts. You know, like, why doesn't, you know, people talk about this more? and why do people scoff at other people when they say, hey, I saw something weird out there and people like, you know, what were you smoking? You know, rather than, oh, yeah, well, tell me about it. You know, rather than keeping it open in mind, maybe I would have done the same thing before this happened, but who knows?
Starting point is 00:47:48 So anyway, long story short, I started looking this stuff up and I realized that it happens all over the place. Now, mind you, Between California and me moving back to Connecticut, I lived in Arizona, Colorado, and Oklahoma. And I used to do, I used to do, I used to work for the, in the theater business. And I was an electrician and I traveled the locals. And went wherever the work was, whatever, when there was a show at a certain place or whatever, I got. to do. I just took jobs wherever I was doing.
Starting point is 00:48:32 So anyway, I looked up these states that I lived in just for the heck of it and found out that these Bigfoot exist in Oklahoma. Oh yeah. Colorado. Like everywhere. Exactly. Everywhere.
Starting point is 00:48:49 You know, I'm surprised they're probably in Delaware. You know, like... I have a sighting from Delaware on my map on the website. Yeah, you probably do. I know they're in Rhode Island. Island. Yep. For sure.
Starting point is 00:49:00 You know, and that's a tiny little state. You know, so anyway, um, so I, I looked this stuff up and I'm just like, that is just crazy, you know, and this is just a couple years after 2010,
Starting point is 00:49:16 that I looked this stuff, or, you know, probably right afterward. And then I, I was like, you know, I don't know how old I was at the time, but I'm,
Starting point is 00:49:25 I'm like, 35 or whatever. And I'm like, it took me that long to see this i'll never see this again i'm like that was crazy and the longer it got i was like that's just that's almost like it didn't happen i'm like but it did you know i'm like that's just nuts like i never seen anything like that before you know it's like seeing a tiger in the woods in north america you know you're like you know like that's not supposed to be there you know, that type of thing.
Starting point is 00:50:00 You'll never forget it, but it happened. So anyway, I stopped thinking about it. I was like, this will never happen to me again, whatever. And I fished all the time. It was, I'm single. I'm not married. I don't have an excuse to be home all the time. So I'm fishing or I'm doing something else, whatever.
Starting point is 00:50:22 I spent a lot of time out in the woods. And I never seen something like that. I've never even seen like, you know, like a coyote, like out in the woods, like in the wild, you know, or a rattlesnake or, you know, something crazy like out of the ordinary. You know, so when it comes to this, it blows your mind and you start thinking you're never going to see this again. If it took me 35 years or whatever it was to see this in the first place, I'll never see it again. I went on beyond my business. I was like, whatever. And then I watched that Finding Bigfoot show, and I was like, they never found Bigfoot.
Starting point is 00:51:07 They yelled in the woods a lot. They banged on trees. I'm like, this is ridiculous. I'm like, I'm not watching this. So I kind of blew it off as like, I understand the phenomenon exists, but I don't really think that the media. I think they were just trying to make people watch the show. So I didn't pay any attention for, you know, let's just say like 2012. I didn't think about it anymore.
Starting point is 00:51:37 21, I'm back in Connecticut. COVID's going on. COVID's raging. We're social distancing still. And my girlfriend at the time is working nights. And I decided to leave. right after dinner and go fishing pretty much every night so seven days a week because i had nothing going on i wasn't working we were all laid off um and wasn't doing anything had no no reason to do
Starting point is 00:52:15 anything and um went fishing and it was just it was you know it was probably this is August of 21 and it was probably about 7 p.m. So it was about an hour before it got dusky dark out. And I pull into, let me set the scene. These houses, I'm in Chaplin, Connecticut. This is not a place that you would think you would see something like this at all. and I go to this little pond that they have in the middle
Starting point is 00:53:04 of a residential area and the houses are set up you know kind of all over the place because the roads in Connecticut aren't straight they curve and you know just like Massachusetts they go all over the place so most of that house properties are half acre to a full acre
Starting point is 00:53:24 and they're mostly wooded except for just around the house where they've cleared it out and it's usually grass with ornamental shrubs and flowers and trees and whatnot. So that's kind of a scene around there.
Starting point is 00:53:40 The surrounding area from those little residential nooks and crannies that are in these areas is wooded and pretty heavily wooded. And like I said, because it's bordered by so much private property, those woods, nobody goes in them.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Because, you know, it's usually no public access, and they border private property, so you're going to end up on somebody's property or cutting through it trying to get out. So it's not a good idea trying to go in there. It almost makes a perfect sanctuary. And what you find in these places are deer. They bed down in white-tailed deer.
Starting point is 00:54:23 year they bed down in the forest during the day and they sleep because they're protected they have no well at least i thought they had no predators in the area for the most part um and you know it's it's it's almost like a park and the people the attitude of the people like i said in this area a lot of them work a lot of them aren't home during the day and you know for the the most part, half of the year is dark in the wintertime, so you're not going to go out into the woods anyway. It's cold here. And then you have the opposite. In the wintertime, people are trying to relax, or in the summertime, people are trying to relax after work, hot day. You know, they're chilling out in the AC, you know, on Netflix or whatever
Starting point is 00:55:15 they're doing. They're not going outside. That's just what happens around here. I don't know what happens where you live, but around here, that's what happens. Yeah, pretty similar. Exactly. Like, I don't care what people say. A lot of people don't go outside. They don't. They might live, like, I live in the woods, but the amount of time that I spend out in these woods is minimum, because I got a whole lot of things I'm doing in the house. I have to do. So anyway, that's my point there's things I think that move around these
Starting point is 00:55:52 properties that people don't see but they assume don't exist and when it happens to somebody and they say hey Bob I saw something out there Bob says oh yeah BS you know it's like
Starting point is 00:56:09 what are you going to do you know it's like Bob I wouldn't tell you if I didn't see something you know didn't want to tell you anyway you know it's like what am i going to do here you know so a lot of people don't say anything even if they do say something and they don't they don't know what it is like i didn't know what it was until i started looking things up and looking around seeing tv shows and i'm like that's what it was um they don't say anything you know they don't anyway and i also want to mention this
Starting point is 00:56:44 when I moved from Connecticut to California, I drove. I drove the whole way. I stopped. You know, I didn't drive the whole time. But what I noticed coming from a city and a concrete jungle was once you leave the East Coast, and I'm not talking far off the East Coast, maybe 15 miles off the East Coast.
Starting point is 00:57:14 It opens up. There's nobody. Yeah, of course you run into cities and towns and there's, you know, there's some big cities out there. But if you think about it in the United States, there's only a handful of big cities. Really? The rest of them are just like these little medium towns with suburbs around them. And once you get out from around them and see how much open land, you're like, wow, there's a lot more. more open land and like unoccupied space than there is like way more and i've i've traveled
Starting point is 00:57:53 all over this country at this point i've been to a lot of it and it's the same thing no matter where you go there's a lot of open space and there's a lot of places that people can make mistakes let's just, you know, let's also say, hey, when I was growing up, like in the 80s, they thought the Brontosaurus was the biggest dinosaur
Starting point is 00:58:20 that ever lived. Right. And the Big Bang Fairy was true. We've come to find out that that's not right. Right? So who's to say, you know, and then you hear about ghosts,
Starting point is 00:58:33 aliens, Bigfoot, cryptids, all this other stuff. And all, like, for a long, long time, hundreds of years in literary
Starting point is 00:58:45 works of old all the way back to modern day and you're like well it probably does exist then if all these people are seeing it and I'm just not privy to ever seeing it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist
Starting point is 00:59:04 you know I've never seen a I've never seen a polar bear with my own eyes but I know they exist because they exist in zoos. I've seen them on video, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:59:17 You know, somebody comes and tells me they've seen a polar, but I'm going to go, oh, that's cool, man, that's great.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Where did you see it? At a zoo and, you know, whatever. And, you know, I'm not going to say it like, hey,
Starting point is 00:59:28 I came to see it, I saw a big foot, and I'm going to say, oh, come on. You know, like, I wouldn't say that at this point.
Starting point is 00:59:37 I'd be like, wow, really? You know, like, I don't know if I'd say I did too, but I'd say, well, tell me about it. What did you see? And I would not be like, oh, a bunch of bull, you know, whatever. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:51 So anyway. So you want me to talk about what happened in 21? Absolutely. Yeah. All right. So I'm going fishing. And like I said, it's about 7 o'clock, August. Starting to get dark, maybe.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Pull into this parking lot in the middle of. suburbia, and I'm in a pickup truck, and there's two other grown men, and I think they were, they probably were a little bit older than me. One of them's putting, like, some tackle on his fishing line and getting his rigged together to go fishing. The other one's already at the water, has a kayak in the water, and is putting on, like, a light vest, getting ready to get in his kayak. So I'm going to do the same thing.
Starting point is 01:00:42 I'm going to go fishing. So I start getting my fishing rod out from the back of the truck and putting it together and whatnot and whatever I'm doing. And we're not talking. You know, I'm not, this is like I said, it's COVID or social distancing or, you know, good distance apart. So it's just kind of doing our thing. And I turned around after I got my rod ready to go. And I turned around and I'm like, all right, I got two other guys here. And this place isn't big anyway.
Starting point is 01:01:22 So I'm like, where am I going to go? Where am I going to stand? I'm like, all right, let me wait until the guy in the kayak goes out. So he's away from the shore. And then I'll see where this guy next to me is going to go. And then I'll go, you know, the opposite way from him. So I was kind of waiting for these two guys to go out and set up to wherever they wanted to go. And the guy in the kayak, he gets in the kayak, and I noticed he starts going out.
Starting point is 01:01:57 This little pond is maybe 75 feet or 75 yards wide by maybe 200 yards long. And it's more or less like an oval. So it's, it's, you know, kind of basic dimensions. We're at the southern end of it on the long, look in the long way on this oval. And on the left side of it is a bunch of, like, reeds and kind of swampy, marshy area and very thick brush. like it's five, six feet tall, just brambles, probably raspberry, blackberry bushes, and whatever type of native, you know, brushes there and whatnot right by the water's edge. It's grown real good because of the water there.
Starting point is 01:02:57 And it goes up about maybe 200 yards up just a slight little incline, maybe about 15, 20 degrees. and then it starts heading into somebody's backyard up, way up on the hill. Up, you know, further up on that hill, you can see a house. I think it was white. And by this marsh, there's a Mylar balloon, like a kid's balloon, like a happy birthday balloon that got away and ended up floating and lost the, lost the heat. helium or whatever gases in it and fell to this pond and ended up there. Well, this guy in the kayak was being a good person and went over there and tried to pull
Starting point is 01:03:53 the mylar out of the pond and, you know, get rid of it. So he's over there and he, you know, he paddles his way over there. It's, you know, it's not far. It's like 30 yards from the ship. shore to this area on the left. This marshy area that's choked with brush on the shore.
Starting point is 01:04:17 And he starts grabbing the mylar this balloon. And if you know what a milar balloon sounds like, it sounds like a real rigid plastic and it just makes a lot of noise. And it's like, you know, whatever. And he's
Starting point is 01:04:33 in it, they're big. Apparently they're a lot bigger than they look. and he's pulling this thing into the kayak and kind of shoving it inside by his feet making some noise and all of a sudden this huge crashing
Starting point is 01:04:54 I mean like the loudest thing I've ever heard in the woods comes crashing out of that brush that was right by the edge of that pond on this pond on the left and there's a couple little trees that were maybe, I don't know what you would call the diameter of it, maybe, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:18 like these 10-inch saplings, like white birch they were, because you could see that they were white against the green grass of the hill that they, that was going up behind them. And I mean loud. Like it sounded like a truck was in those bushes
Starting point is 01:05:39 but no engine just like a truck was moving through those bushes without an engine like just the sound of the trees crashing and the commotion of the brush was just like what is that
Starting point is 01:05:56 it sounded like Jurassic Park you know like I was expecting a Tyrannosaurus rex to come bursting out of the trees and just like eat this guy pulling the Mylar balloon out. That's how loud it was. And I'm just like mouth open.
Starting point is 01:06:16 As I'm watching, this guy in the, he's doing the same thing in the boat. He stops what he's doing, and everybody's just staring. The guy next to me in the truck, the guy in the kayak and me, we're all looking at this thing.
Starting point is 01:06:33 It starts, it gets out of the brush. and it's huge again it's huge but it's not standing tall it's on fours and it flies up this hill and when it hit that or it passed by a tree it was on the right side of the tree the tree was on its left that birch that may have been like eight or ten inches in diameter it smacked it that whole tree swayed like it was a like it was made a rubber.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Like the, where it hit it, bulged out, the top of the canopy of the tree, went to the right, and then it ricocheted back to the left. And all these, this is middle August,
Starting point is 01:07:27 all these leaves started falling, like these green leaves that should have been stuck to the branches, started falling off it. and running up the hill, I'm not kidding, you Jeremiah, it was a bear-sized, it looked like an orangutan, but the size of a black, like not a black bear, like what you would see, like a Codiac bear, and it was that color, like that reddish brown on four legs. And you can see the muscles on its back run up the hill. hill and it was like it looked like a gorilla or a monkey on all fours hauling up that hill
Starting point is 01:08:14 but it was massive and made the loudest noise i've ever heard in the forest did the guy next i'm like did you see that he goes yeah man what was that and i'm like um i have a pretty good idea what it was he goes was that a deer and i'm like no that wasn't a deer I didn't hear what, you know, we never talked to the guy in the kayak, but the guy next to me, he was in a pickup truck too. He threw his rod in the crap that he had that he got ready in the back of his truck and left immediately. I sat there for a while.
Starting point is 01:08:54 The guy that was getting the Mylar balloon, finally pulled the balloon in, and then he went to the total opposite end of the pond, like way up the top. and the opposite bank. So I ended up, I was like, what, you know,
Starting point is 01:09:17 I mean, it's, you know, it's gone. I didn't hear anything else. So I'm like, what am I going to? I ended up fishing, but I couldn't fish for long because I was, I was kind of panicking. I'm sitting there. I'm like, I threw like maybe three casts out.
Starting point is 01:09:35 I fish with lures So it's like I don't fish with live dates So it's easy And I threw like three or four casts whatever But I'm constantly like looking at the woods And I'm like what? I'm thinking of California And I'm like
Starting point is 01:09:52 This is Connecticut I'm like I'm like that wasn't a bear It's huge I mean it was huge It looks I mean the color of an orangutan,
Starting point is 01:10:09 the build of a silver-back gorilla on all fours, but probably two to three times the size of a silver-back gorilla. What is that? In Connecticut. I don't know. So here's...
Starting point is 01:10:33 Man, there's a lot. There's a lot going on here. So it's interesting because I'm thinking of other New England reports I've had. and it's similar to a few other places that I've talked to people, and I'm thinking about a guy who had... Oh, it was fast, too, man. Like, I'm talking fast, like faster than any dog I've ever seen running after something.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Absolutely. I had a person who described an albino version of this in Aguam mass, which is crazy. And then another, which is wild, right? And then another person saw an orangutan type creature. This is like south of the Coabin on Route 9 over by like where in Belchertown. Yeah. So it's like I'm starting to see a pattern.
Starting point is 01:11:23 I lived up in Worcester. I lived in Marlboro. Yep. You know what Marlboro is? Oh yeah. Yeah. But man, that's that's wild. So how, okay, first off I want to ask.
Starting point is 01:11:33 So the first sighting you had when you got. a time to leave, you were out of there. Yeah. You waited a few minutes. The second time, dude, this thing was running again in the opposite direction. It got out of there so fast. It was so big. I mean, like I said, it was the color of an orangutan.
Starting point is 01:11:54 Like that reddish brown, that bright reddish brown. It wasn't like, you know, like a brown bearer, like that ruddy brown. It was that bright, bright red brown. And it wasn't. It wasn't the size. It was way bigger than orangutan. Even those male ones that you see at the zoo, those full-grown male ones, this was probably three times bigger than that. Wow. Yeah. So was it similar, though, in any ways to what you saw out in California? Was this kind of like a different version of it? Well, no, this was totally different because it was on four legs. It looked like. Jeremiah, to be honest with you, I mean, I can't say it was a big foot. Wow. Okay. it was on four legs it was the color of of what i've heard people other people report as one it was bigger than the one i saw in california if you were to i think if i were to put that into a on a
Starting point is 01:12:57 four-legged pose or position the one i saw here in connecticut was a lot bigger now here's another thing, man. We've had, just in the same town that I live in on that one website, there's a report of a Bigfoot tracking a father
Starting point is 01:13:19 and son why they were fishing on a lake up here. It was following them on my bank, why they were in a boat. And there's, you know, so I found out around here, too, I did the same thing I did when it happened in California. I started looking.
Starting point is 01:13:36 I'm like, it happens out here too. I'm like, this is crazy, you know, this is nuts. You know, and I'm surprised people,
Starting point is 01:13:44 you know, don't say, I'm not surprised. It's the Northeast. People are a little more tight-lipped out here. They don't talk about things a lot more. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:54 You know, there's a lot more fingerpoint and there's a lot more people that will call you crazy here. You know, there's a lot more people that are critical about people that live next to them and, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 01:14:05 So I'm not surprised people don't talk. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. I mean, and this is two guys from New England saying this. I mean, you, man, I never heard weird stuff growing up in Western Mass. People just wouldn't talk about it. You know, it's like just how you said they don't want to be looked at as the crazy one back. And this is like in the 90s.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Yeah. You know what? Let me add this to you. I'm just going to say this real quick. I was brought up Roman Catholic. I was brought up in the Roman Catholic Church, meaning in their parochial school system. And I went through my first elementary school,
Starting point is 01:14:50 grades 1 through 8, and then my high school, I did two more years in a Catholic high school in Connecticut. And I had a priest when I was younger in like maybe the 8th their ninth grade. His name was Father John, but I don't remember his last name. It was an Italian name.
Starting point is 01:15:14 In any case, he was a great guy. Everybody liked him. And I had mentioned, I don't remember how it got long, but anyway, my grandmother comes to me one day, and she had clipped out of the newspaper,
Starting point is 01:15:32 like this is back in the 80s. She clips out of the newspaper, this article that Father John was recognized as the diocese, which is the town that I'm from, which is actually just outside of New York, and it's governed by the New York, the New York bishops or whatever it is. So they have control of this, so it's a big deal. He's the local exorcist. So this is kind of like on a parallel subject, but I'm just going to tell you this real quick.
Starting point is 01:16:11 So I found this out. And she, you know, the church just wanted, you know, make it aware, and I guess in the paper or whatever. And I went to back to school, like maybe the next week. And I had talked to this priest because he taught one of my math classes, like my practical. math class. Like how to add two cups of water together and, you know, four tablespoons of butter. Right. Type of stuff.
Starting point is 01:16:41 Like home economics type of thing. And I said I was like, Father John, I was like, you're the exorcist? I'm like, I saw that movie. And he laughs. He's like, yeah. He's like, you saw that article. And I'm like, yeah. I'm like, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:59 I'm like, that's real. Like, like questioning. He's like, yeah, it is. And I'm like, oh, that's the first time any of this woo-hoo stuff was, you know, people told me that that didn't, that wasn't real. Bigfoot's not real. Ghosts aren't real. Demons and devils aren't real. UFOs aren't real. Guess what? Government is talking about UFOs. Church is dealing with demons. Everybody talks about seeing ghosts. Apparently everybody talks about seeing ghosts. Apparently everybody's she's Bigfoot too. A lot of people do. So what do you think?
Starting point is 01:17:39 Is everybody lying? No, I mean, dude, we know that this stuff is real. I mean, there is a different side of the world that we cannot see but it is out there, man. And dude, like, the
Starting point is 01:17:54 people coming forward with just Bigfoot stuff is really escalating quickly, I've noticed over the last few years. Like, there's a lot. a lot of stuff. Everyone's getting to the point where it's like,
Starting point is 01:18:07 as you said, the government's like, hey, UFO's real, all that stuff. Well, man, Bigfoot's next up. Who knows what could come out next? Well, man,
Starting point is 01:18:16 I'd be honest with you. If you were to ask me the question of what do you think Bigfoot is, I don't know. I'd be honest with you. There's that, you know, there's those,
Starting point is 01:18:27 those boo explanations that everybody's heard that I have heard, you know, just looking into this. And I'm like, man that doesn't sound like it
Starting point is 01:18:36 it's wrong you know like it could be just some some unidentified species of humanoid primate that we've never come across it could be from another planet
Starting point is 01:18:50 like a UFO type alien thing or it could be totally spiritual because there's videos and kind of evidence and reports of all three of them oh sure Yeah, you hear that stuff.
Starting point is 01:19:05 They happen at the same time sometimes. Absolutely. It's weird, you know, and if you're like, man, I don't know what it is. I still don't. I don't know. But I'll tell you this much. Why do I say that? Because I'm 50 years old this year.
Starting point is 01:19:25 And I've seen it twice now. Why have I seen that twice when, there's people out there that don't even see it once. So what I'm trying to say with that is, is there comes some kind of spiritual connection with I saw it once, I'll see it again type of thing, like that type of like you break open the barrier.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I think so. You know. Absolutely. I don't know, man. You know, like, but I mentioned, I've, a lot of people are going to hear this story.
Starting point is 01:20:05 probably hundreds is maybe not thousands and maybe more but i've never told this story to more than it's low i can't even think maybe two people wow and they both looked at me like they didn't say anything like like oh that's great oh you're crazy like nothing like nothing so you can just imagine they have never ever experienced anything like this so I'm like so why this happened twice to me
Starting point is 01:20:47 you know like where does that come from it just doesn't make any sense so I think there is something more to it than just something walking around the woods of the world you know wherever it is you know but
Starting point is 01:21:04 I don't know I don't know It's man It's one of those questions where It's hard to get answers But it feels like you're you're a guy that Is open to trying to figure out what's What's going on out there and you're not just shutting everything down
Starting point is 01:21:23 So honestly I think that might have some of it There's a road Literally five miles away from me Well actually it happened five miles away That they that somebody had an ambulance driver, an ambulance crew, three people in it, had a dogman encounter with two dogmen on the side of the road. You've heard of them, right?
Starting point is 01:21:50 Yeah, they get in the show every once in a while. That stuff kind of freaks me out. Yeah, so it's like, you know, you hear about this stuff, and, you know, I'm like, well, I'm not going to say no. You know, I'm not going to say that didn't happen, especially after my experiences, but I'm just like, wow, this is like, this is like, you know, some kind of fantastical wonderland that we thought,
Starting point is 01:22:18 you know, like I said, man, people go out there, they live their lives, they go to work, they meet their mate, whatever, they live their lives, they have kids, they pay their bills, they do their thing. They get into hobbies that they could hardly do. do because they're so busy, they don't really look into stuff like this unless they're extraordinarily interested in it. You know, if that's their thing, they're going to look at it and then they're going to get into it
Starting point is 01:22:51 and they're going to be open to it. Most other people are just going to say, oh, what is that? Like, oh, it's a ghost. You know, like, I know somebody that won't even watch like a Marvel movie or a Star Wars movie or like the most popular fictional thing that you could possibly present to them because they just do not accept fiction in one way, shape, or form at all.
Starting point is 01:23:17 There's people like that. You know, they go about life thinking that they have it all that this is what's out there. They're, you know, out in the woods, there's squirrels, there's birds, there's bears, or whatever. That's it. There's no, you know, nothing else.
Starting point is 01:23:35 I thought that too. You know, and I'm, you know, after all these years, 50 years of living and scientists pulling, now most of the stuff is small. And then I find out the mountain gorilla was like discovered in the late 1800s. And I'm like, you're kidding me. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:23:58 And I live near Long Island Sound in Connecticut. Obviously, it's not a big state. Everything's near the sound. there people for years were like oh there's no sharks in long island sound if there are they're like sandbar sharks and sand sharks and yeah there was a 14 foot great white that was tagged off of the off of a dock in greenwich like greenwich connecticut is like one of the most expensive areas outside new york city right it really is yeah um yeah and they got these sharks that travel through in the summertime just like Bigfoot travels in the Connecticut River Valley all year round. It is...
Starting point is 01:24:41 That's it. It's just a fascinating conversation. Great. So I guess really that one of the last questions I have for is so if you haven't really shared this account with just a few people
Starting point is 01:24:53 over the years, why is it important to come forward now and to share to such a large audience what it is that happened to you at both those times? Well, I saw the videos in Connecticut and I saw that there was the comments that there was a lot of people that were like,
Starting point is 01:25:10 whoa, they're in Connecticut. Like, oh, I also had a cousin who lived in Oxford, Connecticut by Nogatuck State Forest, and she used to tell me stories that she used to hear stuff at night, yelling and screaming in the middle, the forest, and stuff like that. And I was like, we were so young. I was like, you know, like, was it a horror movie going out of out of that? there or something. I didn't care. Well, after this happened, and I
Starting point is 01:25:39 remember that, and then I heard people talking about that in the comments of your videos, and I'm like, yeah, they're apparently all over the place. And I started reading these comments, and there's like, oh, I'm from Monroe. Oh, I'm from Fairfield. Oh, I'm from, you know, Litchfield County
Starting point is 01:25:55 or this, I'm like, yeah, they're all over there. I'm like, you just don't understand. I'm like, Litchfield County, right next to New York. I'm like, it was loaded. dude. Totally. Like Candlewood Lake area, that whole area up north, like Cornwall Bridge where people go
Starting point is 01:26:12 fish in and take pictures, that whole area is probably swarmed with them. That's like right next to the New York State and Massachusetts, you know? Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's- It's crazy, man. And, you know, like I said, I don't think people go outside enough. I don't think they really, you know, I don't, you know, people, I just, I just, I just, just come away with it people
Starting point is 01:26:38 I'm not saying that they're dumb or anything like that I just don't think that they care enough to identify things like this to whereas when they come up in the next conversation or experience with somebody who's dealt with it
Starting point is 01:26:54 that they don't go all that's total BS you know it's like right whatever yeah exactly and if people are actually going out in the woods they're not present you know it's like if you're going out the woods, be present, and you will be surprised at the things you notice. You know what I mean? So it's wild. Greg, this is what an awesome conversation. Thank you for coming on the show to share this.
Starting point is 01:27:22 I mean, I don't get a lot of people from New England coming on. And so whenever I'm able to get when someone is like, yeah, I'll do it. I mean, it's a very special thing. So thank you for coming on the show, Greg. well that's another reason why i did it too is because i figured that uh there wasn't a lot of people from new england on so i figured i might as well pipe up and at least tell about my two little short well one of one of them's in new england true the other one was in california but anyway yeah it was great having in here thank you for listening and uh i i appreciate you your channel's great and i i really i really um appreciate your enthusiasm with going going after people who have stories and saying, hey, I want to hear it.
