Hey man. Thanks for coming up. So you had some weird stuff happen on a military base.
Okay, this is the thing. All right.
I can't tell you the location.
Yes, sir.
I can't tell you the name of the base that we was behind, but I can tell you the encounter.
Okay, we, I was Army Special Forces.
I will tell you that.
We were at a proving ground, and we were testing out thermals, night vision, and fleers when they first came out.
Behind this installation, there is a T-shaped mountain range that is part of the training ground.
Every one mile in increments from the back of the base out into the training ground, there's a mountain side on the left, there's a mountain side on the right, there's a valley that goes through the middle of it, and when you get out about 11 miles out, you run into another,
mountain range that goes east to west. So it's a T-shaped training area that's behind the base.
At each intersection that you come to at one mile increments, there are four posts that are set up
on each corner. There is a light that is a solar panel light on each post. When you get out to the
11 mile marker, you always do your training and everything left to right, east to west,
through that area.
And then when you're leaving there where you drop all your weapons, clear your magazines,
everything like that, you know, the training's over.
It's an 11 mile setting each increment of one mile to where you get to the marker post.
Okay, so we had already cleared all our weapons and everything like that.
like that, they had took us in about six miles, so we were at the six mile post.
All right.
They dropped us off to do the last bit of the training with these new thermal sites and everything like that.
Well, as soon as we got dropped off and we left that intersection and started going in toward the base,
we noticed that there were three, I can't say people, I can't say, people, I can't
say creature, I can just tell you there was three things that was on the mountainside beside us
where we could see them in the flare and we could see them in the thermal, but we couldn't see
them in the night vision. There wasn't enough light. As we was moving from that intersection
to the next intersection, they were traversing the mountain side.
on an angle coming down toward us to where they were going to intercept us within the next mile to two miles
before you get to the next setting.
So as we keep going down, they keep going down at an angle.
It's scared.
Now, this is a special forces team of seven.
There's seven of us.
and we're basically doing the last, you know, six miles into the back of the base.
We got to the next marker where the lights were, and they had went past that.
We were sitting there and looking at them, and we're like, okay, we're going to, we're
there keeping on moving, so we're just going to keep on moving.
So we were moving on down to the next intersection.
they started coming down closer and closer toward us as we got to the next intersection.
Before we got into the edge of the light, and they were going across the dark side of the far side of the intersection.
We was on one side of it, and they was going across the other side.
We went back out the next day where they crossed that.
and I took a tape measure
and I measured the light post
on all four corners
all of them are eight foot
exactly
we had
recorded thermal
recorded flare
and night vision at that point
that was all recorded
to where as they walked across the
dark side of that intersection
their heads were above the lights.
We stopped.
We were so scared when, I mean, just the feeling that comes over you,
the just, I mean, to be terrified that much.
We literally locked and loaded, and we stayed at that intersection.
I would not go no further.
because they had moved across the valley floor,
but they were still just on the other side of the road
where we would have been walking by,
almost like they didn't know
that we could actually see them in the dark.
They just acted like they could see us.
They knew we were there,
and that they were pretty much just waiting
for us to get to where they could get to us
without us noticing them.
I called up to the base
and had them roll
my six Bradley's out there.
Fully armed,
all weapons hot,
I would not go past that next intersection.
We loaded up as the tanks were rolling by,
they started going up the other mountain side up the other side.
And I mean it was just,
It was probably
for them to come to the base
from the base out five miles on tracks
would take them about
20 to 25 minutes
within that 20 to 25 minutes
once the back entrance of the base
opened up and there were Bradley's
coming our way. They started
traversing the mountain range on the other side, the other side
of the valley.
Within 20,
minutes, they were completely out of sight. When we went in for the debriefing, I'm telling you,
I was still so scared. My whole team was so scared. I mean, we've been to Beirut, we've been to Lebanon,
we've been to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Somalia. I mean, everywhere in every kind of jungle
that you ever thought of, any kind of desert you ever thought of.
And we was on the back of a training ground,
on what they call proving grounds.
And I'm telling you what they say about the infrasound of just the pure terror that you get,
that it gives off.
I mean, I'm telling you, when we watch them walk across the dark side of that intersection,
and you can still see their heads above the post,
the light post that are there.
And you, I mean, just watching them.
And it's all flat on the other side of the intersection.
So it's not like there's a hill on the other side
of the intersection and they're six, six and a half foot.
No, it's all flat.
And these posts are eight foot.
And you can watch all three of them,
walk past the post and their heads never go behind the post.
And when we got back inside the base and we done all the debriefings and everything,
they made us sign documentation saying that we would not talk about it.
We would not let anybody know where we were at that.
That was the discussion.
We could tell people about the incident about what we saw.
But they took the videos from all the instruments that we had, and we all had to sign documentation showing and saying that we would not let them know where the incident happened at, the name of the proving ground, even the state that it was in.
We couldn't tell nobody any kind of information about where it was.
but until I climb out of that, into that Bradley, in the TCC, because my driver and my gunner was still at the base,
but we had them roll out and come pick us up, weapons hot. Okay, that's how scared I was.
Okay, now I've got an AR-15 on me with my regular.
you know, 700 rounds, and I've got a Glock 45
strapped to my chest.
And I'm telling you that we did not have enough
firepower. There was not enough ammo there
for what we felt we would have been fighting.
And that is hand on the Bible,
and I've still got all the paperwork
and stuff like that, where we had to sign
saying that we would not disclose the location
of where we was at, what it happened.
But I drilled them until I was told by a one-star general to drop it.
Oh.
Because the first thing, like, why we were doing,
while we were moving,
I was calling into the base and trying to find out
if they had anybody else out there that was doing any kind of surveillance.
on us to be able to use instruments to see us as we're trying to see other stuff.
I mean, I was trying to get a set rep on if there's any other active military members on the range while we're using it.
Because I was at the point to where, honestly, I mean, I'd already went weapons hot because I thought they were getting too close to us.
And I told my guys, I said, once we get to the five-mile marker intersection, if they approach us any at the.
all come i mean a couple inches toward us it's on i'm literally going to light whatever it is up
and deal with the consequences later that is that is one of the most uh incredible stories i've heard
in my five years thank you for sharing that um and thank you for your service absolutely it
sounds like you've been involved with many different areas of of combat um i know there's really
really no questions you can answer probably.
I'm just going to try.
Were you the only ones to have sightings around that area, or was it a common thing?
It was a common thing.
Yeah.
Okay.
And it's not just me.
There was six other people from my team that saw and using, you know, at that time, that
was the most high-tech imaging.
equipment that the Army had was Fleer, thermal, and night vision.
And all three of them had recording capability.
And when we got to the base, they took everything from us.
The instruments, any kind of night vision, they took our phones.
They took everything.
Like all communication devices and put us in a sit-wit room with the door.
doors locked with guards on the outside. We had to drop all our weapons, leave everything,
and they took us in there for a debriefing. And we had to sign sworn statements and stuff
like that that we would not disclose where we were at the location that we were and everything
like that, even the names of the proving grounds, the state, anything like that. And while
we were in service, we were not allowed to talk about it at all, even with each other.
They told us once we were out of the military, we could talk about the incident, but we were
still sworn to secrecy about the locations of where it was.
Bigfoot Society will be right back after these messages.

I'm not going to press things any further.
I don't want to put you in a situation.
But I appreciate you sharing what you're able to.
You have my email there on screen if you ever need to reach out at a later time, sir.
Thank you.
All right.
Hey, this is Jeremiah. Thanks for coming up. Oh, man, I'd love to hear what you experienced out there in Gleney because what I've heard so far, there's some activity in that area.
Yeah, so, you know, unfortunately, this isn't firsthand experience. It's an uncle of mine that owns some property in Gleney who tells me the stories of a family of them, I guess a mom and dad and two young ones that iron is back 80 acres.
that he sees, he hears him more than he sees them, but he has seen them a few times.
He describes them.
Well, I mean, pretty much as you think, I guess what he's most, I guess what he most talked about is the way they, the way they move around.
I guess they, he describes it as really unusual, the way they travel.
It's almost like a, he describes it as like a gliding motion, like the head and shoulders.
They don't bob up and down.
It's more like just leg movement, very, very fast, almost like a gliding motion.
That's kind of what fascinated me about it.
Oh, wow.
Do you still have contact with this individual?
Yeah, it's my uncle.
Yeah, I talk with him maybe every month or so.
You know, I can call him at any time and talk to him.
but yeah I know he's has he's had many encounters he hears him all the time at night he
hears the Ohio he describes it as the I'm sure you're familiar with the Ohio the Ohio
that's what he closely he says it closely resembles almost to a T he's seen him from a distance
in the woods he had he had one
encounter where he saw one come out chasing a deer and the deer was running from one patch of
woods to another through a clearing and this this bipedal you know big foot came out into the clearing
and actually caught the deer so i mean they're that fast they're that quick he had it caught
the deer and drug it back in the woods in a matter of seconds
I think he said he was a good 100 yards away.
He wasn't too close.
So that's about what I got.
That's awesome.
If you would, I don't know if it's possible,
if you could pass on my email to your uncle,
just if he's interested, I would love to talk to him.
Sure, sure.
Yeah, I wonder where that.
I'm curious where that barn is at,
where you're talking about with that policeman,
had a standoff in glenium it's a really small town so is it really wonder how close it is i wonder
how close it is to to my uncle's place it's it's actually it was a it was a log cabin set up
a log cabin okay yeah yeah and i think i think he actually this is years ago i talked to this guy but
i think he said it may have it was either not in the family anymore or it burned down but if you
go to my podcast is big foot society and if you uh
If you sort by most viewed, it's the one where it's like a police officer has a standoff with a big foot in Michigan.
Okay.
And you might be able to figure it out if you're familiar with the area where it was.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'm somewhat familiar.
So I'll definitely check that out.
All right.
I wish I had more for you.
Hey, no sweat.
It's a good potential lead, though.
I appreciate you coming up.
All right.
Thank you for having me.
All right.
Thanks, sir.
Hey man, thanks for coming up.
All right, cool.
So what happened on your deer hunt, dude?
It would have been two years ago this year, well, this fall.
We own right at 200 acres that opens up into 1,100 acres of government land around the Wayne National.
And I heard brush kick up, and I thought it was my target buck.
It was massive.
and nothing ever came in sight and then just like these blood curdling screams and like the only thing I could do I was afraid to pull my phone up I didn't want it to see me before I seen it because I didn't know what it was so I just kind of pulled out voice memo and recorded and like you could hear it like echoing off the heels and as soon as it quit I went out the woods and I haven't been back in those woods
Wow. That's southeast Ohio?
That is
southeastern-ish.
I'm the farthest of the South County in Ohio
before you get to...
Uh-oh. Okay, you're still there. Good.
Good, good.
So my email is bigfoot Societyjuma.com.
Would you be able to share that audio you captured?
That sounds really interesting.
It's so weird.
740. I'm going to have to let you go.
Sorry about that.
You're...
Something's going on weird, but
feel free to reach out through email.
All right, Bigfoot Society.
You've got the privilege of talking to Sean tonight.
Sean's an individual that reached out to me through email.
It's a pleasure to have Sean on the show today.
And Sean, I'm going to go ahead and pretty much give it over to you
and bring us back to that time in Minnesota
where you experience some pretty interesting things.
Thanks for having me on.
I'm kind of excited to talk to you.
I listen to your podcast.
I just recently, not recently, but this year, I joined Spotify, and I just, I found you and your podcast, and I listen to every show.
And I've been a Bigfoot believer probably before I even knew what Bigfoot was.
My sister's about six years older than me when I was eight years old.
Sorry, I was born in Minnesota, born and raised.
my sister and her friend her friend's parents had a boat and they would go on Lake Superior a lot
and there's a chain of islands just above Wisconsin called the Apostle Islands
my sister has a picture she doesn't know exactly what island they were on
I've asked her this about it many times and she tells me what she can remember is
her parents or the parents you know docked the boat her and her friend went on the
island. They found this giant rock. I mean, it was more like a boulder. I don't know how far back
my sister's friend is, but she took a picture and on the ground level kind of, it would be to,
when she was taking a picture, it'd be her left. So my sister's right. So it'd be behind my sister.
Clearly, it looks like a monkey. You can clearly see the monkey. It just looks like it was walking by
and kind of just maybe saw the flash
or maybe saw them or something.
I don't know how she couldn't see it,
but my sister said that all she remembers was
the island was really quiet.
There's no birds.
It kind of felt like, I don't know if she said
they're playing like they're being chased by something.
I don't know, but she doesn't remember too much.
So ever since eight years old, I was wondering
why there's a monkey in that picture.
Around 97 when WebTV came out
I got web TV and that's when I learned about Bigfoot.
I sent the picture to a couple Bigfoot websites.
They told me it was BS.
It was nothing.
It was operated tree.
It was just nothing, but you could, it was just too clear.
I mean, I took it to, I forgot where it was, someplace where you could pay for internet
use and then I tried zooming in on the picture.
clearly see where the eyes were sunken in.
You can see the forehead.
You can see where the skin and the fur on the head kind of part.
It was really obvious.
The guy that worked there, he was like, what the hell is that?
I was like, it's a monkey.
He's like, from where?
And I was like on those islands on like Superior.
And he was like looking at me like, I was crazy.
But so I've been trying to find that picture again.
But my sister moved so much that it's just.
I don't know if we'll ever find that picture again, but, and then that kind of sparked my interest in Bigfoot.
So around 96, I started getting annuity payments because my dad was killed when I was a baby.
So I got a bunch of money when I turned 18.
And so I started getting into Bigfoot.
I started hunting it.
I was pro-kill.
I was doing it a different way.
I wasn't hunting it.
I was trying to lure it to me.
I didn't know anything about anything.
So I was trying all different methods, food, baby toys, just anything to try to attract it.
A lot of the Bigfoot organizations didn't really like me because they knew I was feeding off their sightings.
So I would find sightings in the area that I lived in and I'd go hunt those areas.
and they knew what I was doing.
I, you know, I used the kind of the cover of,
I'm out there coyote hunting, farm and hunting.
So I was in the gilly suit, I had the rifle.
Spent a lot of time.
I did that from about 97 to 2008.
I was pretty hard into it,
but we can talk about that some other time.
because, you know, I've never seen an adult.
I've seen juveniles and babies.
I figured I could probably attract that more than an adult.
So I don't know.
It was just a different kind of method I was trying.
And I notice all these people that do the hunting now,
they try to go seek it out.
But I think it's best if you try to lure it to you.
But anyways, we just,
can we can talk about that some other time.
To tell you about the camping trip,
I sent you those screenshots,
so I don't know if you want to be,
if you're looking at those now.
Yes, I got him.
I got them up, so I'm taking a look at it.
So back in about 2000,
I'd say about 2000, 2001,
my friend's parents sold their house
and they bought another house
but for some reason the people that were in that house
weren't leaving for like two months
so
my friend's parents already sold the house
so they're like well what are we going to do
so they're like let's go camping
they bought a little
camper
we first went to one place for a month
um
had no you know just whatever and then
they had to move so
they went to
uh like
Elmo Park Reserve. It looks a lot different now. Back then, it didn't have as many of the RV
campsites. It was just maybe two circles, the one that I sent you the full screenshot of,
and then the one to the left of it. So the others weren't there. So like we were there for
about a month. There's the camper, and then there was about including me,
there's eight people. He had a big family.
Most of the people slept in the camper, me and my friend Mike, we slept in the tent,
the two-man tent. We put the tent along the tree line.
So our heads were like in the tree line.
So, but the weird thing is we never got, we never got messed with in the tent.
But the first week was fine.
And then about midweek or the second week, we were all sitting around the
campfire, we heard something walking in the forest, like behind us. You could tell it was
walking like down a hill. There's, it was just really crunchy, but you could tell it was
walking on two legs. We thought it was a deer at first, but then as it came closer to the
tree line, we're like, no, that's, that's, that's walking on two legs. So we just kind of
ignored it. Then the next night happened to get in around the same time. It's really weird.
we just you know played it off like whatever
after a week of it happening
we just kind of
a little got fed up with it
the old man was the first one to
kind of run into the forest after it
you know with no flashlight no light nothing
after he ran in
me and three of the other boys
kind of followed him afterwards
words and you know we're just wandering in the dark in the forest we don't know where we're
going um and then we hear the old man say shh he's right in front of me we all stop and then i was like
well if he's in front of you then reach out and grab him and he's like i'm trying but it's like
and then you hear like little crunch crunch big for society will be right back after these
messages plan b made over-the-counter emergency contraception legal more

And we all kind of walk towards the crunch crunch.
Obviously, nothing, probably walk into each other, don't know where they all are stepping.
Then we hear crunch crunch kind of further away.
Then we're still kind of wandering for a couple more minutes.
Nothing.
We didn't find nothing.
So we just kind of went back to the campground where we're camping.
And then just like weird things like that would happen.
And we tried telling the park rangers what was going on.
didn't really believe us at first until other campers started getting messed with,
like food would start going missing, clothing would be missing towels,
just like things were going through, like gone through.
And they thought it was us.
They thought we were trying to like mess with other campers.
I don't know.
They didn't believe us.
They thought it was us doing it.
So it got to the point where they called in the love.
local police. The local police came in. You had a canine. Yes, that's what was going on. We told them we just, somebody's messing with us. We don't know, you know, who it is. Obviously, we don't know what it is. So the canine and the dog, or the cop and canine go into the forest with the flashlight. She walks in about, I don't know, 20 feet, turns the flashlight off. And then maybe.
hundred yards behind him you hear a whistle and you see the flashlight turn on like he was like
spooked and he turns around his dog didn't react but as soon as he turned around to with the flashlight
to look to see where he could see the whistle another whistle on the other side of him so he turned
around again and as soon as he turned around i don't know maybe he saw something i don't know what he
saw but you could hear him on his radio he called something in
in and then he comes back out and he tells us he's like well whoever it is we're going to find
him because i just called in the skate trooper helicopter and they got thermal and night vision
so whoever it is we're going to find out because it got to the point where the park was
fed up with it and they just wanted you know they want to stop so that's why they bring in the
the trooper with the helicopter and the thermal and all that um they flew over for like half hour
and they called back to that canine cop
and said that they didn't see anything
they didn't find anything
so what puzzled me was
how it got away so quickly
because there's really
if you see it on the map
I mean from when that cop called in the helicopter
it was no less than three minutes
that the thing was that the helicopter showed up
and
they never
they never found anything
they said they're
The weird thing was they didn't see even any animals like on thermal.
The weird thing was is the one night, me and my friend went into the forest to kind of see if we could kind of maybe wait it out.
And maybe kind of wait until he comes out, whoever it was, maybe kind of, you know, ambush him some way.
I don't know.
And the weird thing was, is I saw the silhouette of him.
He was, like, sitting down, and what was weird was the silhouette looked like a guy in a flannel wearing a baseball cap forward.
And I seen him between two trees.
He was the sun or the moon was like behind him, so he could see the silhouette.
And I pointed to my friend, I was like, look, he's right there.
And as soon as we kind of got up to go towards him,
all he did was kind of fell forward.
And then he was gone with no sound.
So I don't know if he just laid down,
because obviously we weren't going to find him.
But it was just really weird how.
And then we went to where he was sitting.
And when where he was sitting,
you could clearly see our campsite,
like really clear.
It was really weird.
So I don't know why he was watching us.
or who it was, but it was just really weird.
But I'm not saying it was Bigfoot.
It was just whoever it was had to have had night vision
and knew how to walk in the forest quiet.
And for some reason, they were just messing with us.
I honestly thought it was one of my friends' friends messing with us
because he was like the one of the brothers was in the army at the time.
And I don't know, a lot of stuff was going through everybody's head.
feds like you know we thought we're like you know we thought it was somebody but for somebody to hide
that well from the police and thermal and all that and park rangers is just beyond me yeah it's it's
such a weird account because you know as you said you're not saying it's bigfoot but the way
you're describing it there are things that it does line up with other accounts like you have
the whistling you have the random disappearing but then on the other hand like that's a weird silhouette
doesn't really maybe line up with what people think of when they usually think bigfoot but it's just
it really makes you think um one one incident we had where me and my friend were sitting by the campfire
everybody else was on camper um i've never seen this happen before but like six
about six, seven raccoons just kind of nonchalantly just came out of the forest through our camp site.
And literally seconds after that, like a tree started shaking.
And we heard like it sounded more like a dog growl, but where the tree was shaking, it was
about seven, eight feet up.
And it made like a low, like guttural like dog growl.
And we kind of looked at each other like, what the hell is that?
And I honestly don't remember what happened after that.
I don't know if we went back into the tent or what,
but we just kind of, I know it scared the shit on me
because I wasn't expecting that.
But, and then we did also find our tents,
or not our tents, sorry, our towels in the thickest part of the forest
because we couldn't find our towels for some reason.
and my friend had the idea that to go just look for them
and we thought we saw somebody in the forest
so that's why we went towards them but it was really our towels
just hanging up on the on some branches
kind of like they're trying it was weird
that's why we thought someone was messed up with us
so there was a man-made lake there
where it was like chlorinated
and my friends were told me they were
remember when they were swimming, their sister was on the beach and they seen a guy like literally
standing like he had his face up against her back of her head, but she didn't know. So that's
why they kind of thought maybe it was him. But I'm like, why would somebody target just us?
There was other campers. There's so many other campers. I'm sorry to be all over the place,
but I remember to the site next to us,
these two guys came their new campers,
and they were kind of bragging like,
because they heard about what was going on.
And I don't know if they were just full of it,
but they're like, oh yeah, we're X Green Beret.
We're gonna set up a trip line from our tent
up into the forest and whatever it is,
you know, we'll trip line
and we'll know and then we'll go investigate.
What was really weird is he said they're going to be there a week.
The next day they're gone.
So I don't know.
I don't know what was up with that.
I don't know if something was in there.
Messing with them all night and they got super spooked that they just moved
because we don't know if they went to another site or what,
but they're like, yeah, we're going to be here a week.
If anything's out there, we're going to find it because, you know,
we're ex-military.
and they're on the next day.
I was like, what?
I was like, where'd these guys go?
I thought they're, and we just, we couldn't figure it out why.
We asked the Rangers too, like, why?
Where did those guys go?
And they're like, I don't know, they just left.
It's so interesting because, like, so listeners know,
I like to look at maps usually.
And if you look, so this is Lake Elmo Park Reserve,
which is like 2,000 acres.
And you can look at it a few different ways because you can look at it one way.
It's on the east side of Minneapolis.
But then if you look at the whole map, it's kind of in the area where there's a part where
Minneapolis starts to not be Minneapolis and goes into like that driftless area eventually,
which is your your southeast Minnesota and then your western.
Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.
And that area is like crazy for Bigfoot sightings.
So I don't know, there's a few different ways definitely to look at this, but it's so, so interesting.
What year did you say this was again?
Probably, I think, like 2000, 2001, in the summertime.
Okay.
2000.
Interesting.
2001, okay.
Yeah, it didn't look, that park didn't look like that before.
for like back then.
Now it's,
there's so much more.
And where I sent you the screenshot was where we were.
You can see the tree line and then behind it,
there's that lake.
I do remember one time me and his little brother were taking a little hike.
And we heard splashing in that lake.
And I just jokingly kind of yelled out,
help me.
And you could hear a real low, creepy, help me.
And we didn't.
go help, we ran.
It scared us a lot.
But it was super weird how it, and my friend was like, or his little brother was like,
do you hear that?
I said no, but I heard it.
And it just, yeah, kind of freaked us both out because we weren't expecting that.
And, yeah, it was just a lot of weird stuff happened that whole month at that,
that campsite was so weird.
it's it's it's it's extremely weird and it's it's we've already said we're going to talk about a different time but
i do want to skirt around it a little bit just because so you said this is 2001 this is in the
middle of the time of that 97 to 2008 era right yeah yeah so but it was nowhere near where
i was doing the hunting nowhere not even okay not even close to where it was
So you, oh, you mean like geographic area.
Got it.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, I was more closer to where I was doing that hunting was more closer to Minneapolis.
Even that area was kind of residentially.
So it's just weird how close that they really do come to residential areas.
No, I agree.
And, you know, a lot of, this is probably the thing I get the most pushback about is
the episodes where it's like
it's like northern Portland
and or it's
southwest Portland and people are like
well it's so close to Portland or Minneapolis
or put in the big city name
and people need to realize
that it
can happen because these cities
get larger and larger and they push
into areas
or the creatures were
there beforehand and then
the city just grew around it I mean you've
got, for example, an area down in Florida called the Green Swamp, and it's an extremely active area,
but it is surrounded on all sides by a lot of housing. And I don't think it's out of question
that stuff like this can happen in an area such as what you're presenting. And you don't
know exactly what happened, but it's just such an interesting story. Yeah, because now,
I mean, now I live in Portland, Oregon.
So I've been here since 2017, and even, like, I live in southwest Portland.
But if you really think about it and you look at it, there's a lot of thick forest here, like, all over Portland.
And it wouldn't surprise me.
Because I see coyotes.
I see foxes.
You know, I see a family of foxes.
All of that, see the pups and the parents.
They're always chilling on the road.
But, like, you know, people think that these things don't live in the city, but they do.
Yeah, absolutely.
I get, I mean, I've gotten more than a few reports, probably two or three from, you know, how North Portland has, like, that big wooded area up there?
If you look on a map, there's, it's, it's, uh, northwest Portland.
There's an area that's, it's got a lot green on a map.
I've gotten a few people that have submitted weird.
stuff from that area like sightings and stuff.
So you never know, you know, but.
Yeah, that area, forest park.
Yeah, I'm sure they're there.
Because it's a huge foresty park right along the,
right along the Columbia.
You moved out to the Pacific Northwest.
Is it a thing where, and now you're kind of in the thick of it?
Are you still into it out there or you kind of got away from it?
No, I haven't done anything since 2008.
Sure.
When I was in Minnesota, I just kind of 2012, I moved to Texas.
I was down there.
I was in West Texas.
I wasn't really into it down there.
I don't even think it lives in the desert, but I don't know where it could hide.
There's nothing out there, but red sand or dirt and cactuses.
So the only thing that I saw out there was, what was weird was I saw a cougar, which TNR told me.
They haven't been in that area for decades, so I don't think they believed me.
But what was weird is I saw it at a rest stop.
Yeah.
They're never really going to say that it's in the area, though.
I mean, from what I picked up, I mean, they usually will not say it's there.
Did you ever, after that, you know, let's say when you got a little older,
did you ever do any research to see if there had been other?
sightings or people that have had similar things happen in the Lake Elmo area?
Yeah, I've looked it out there, there's nothing.
Okay.
Well, it'll be interesting to see if someone, you know, reaches out from this.
See, yeah, I had something happen, but it was like 20 years difference, but you never know.
The other thing I wanted to comment on is the monkey photo up in the Apostle Islands, which they're really cool-looking islands.
I mean, I've seen pictures of them before.
But, man, if you ever find that photo, dude, or your sister ever finds it.
Wow.
Yeah, it's something that's picture for the DNR that takes care of the Apostle Islands.
And they said, yeah, it looks like the islands.
He said, but there's no monkeys up here.
It's like, okay, whatever.
And then I contacted somebody, I forgot what, I forgot what,
What First Nation tribe, I think they were, I don't remember.
But they told me that there's like a myth of folklore of like a beast that looks like Bigfoot that lives on the islands or just kind of lives in Lake Superior.
Oh, there you go, man.
But they said they don't know if it looks like a monkey or what.
They just said it was like a beast of some sort.
But I think it was the Nishinawbi.
I don't know.
Okay.
But or Shoshone, I don't know.
But I didn't think that they were from that part of Minnesota.
I thought it was more like Northern Minnesota is like more like Ojibway.
And like, I know there's a lot of like Sue.
But yeah, I think there's Shoshone's.
Yeah, but I don't know.
Because I met a native guy.
His name was Sean, but he spelled his S.
E.J.O.N. for his Shioshaun.
So I don't know.
It's weird.
Gotcha.
Sean, this is an interesting account.
It's one of those that I like because it usually leads to other things.
And then hopefully it'll lead to maybe some closure for yourself.
Maybe we can get some more experiences out of this area.
Maybe people can reach out, send me an email,
or they can even put it in the comments on the YouTube video
if they've experienced other things in the area.
We're also up in the Apostle Islands.
too.
If you've had a
big foot
experience up
there,
you saw something
that looks like
a monkey,
that would be
cool too.
A lot of
those islands are
like,
there's houses
on them,
on some of them,
but a lot of them
are kind of deserted.
Oh,
interesting.
Okay.
All right.
Well,
there you go.
But,
Sean,
it's been a pleasure
of chatting with you
today.
And thank you for,
for sharing,
uh,
some really interesting things
that happened in that
Lake Elmo area.
Yeah, it was really weird.
I wish I knew what it was because the law enforcement never told us anything.
They just said they couldn't find anything and that was that.
And the park told us don't ever come back.
Really?
They told his parents that.
They said they don't want them there anymore.
Because they thought it was us.
