Starting point is 00:00:42 Thank you. Hey, Eric, how's it going, man? Hey, man. How are you? I'm doing well. Doing well. Hey, thanks for coming up. Feel free to share what happened, where it happened, if you can, and all that good stuff.

Starting point is 00:00:59 get a lot of beef on this. I was, I was 10 years old in 1978, and I was up at my grandpa's place. He had a double-wide trailer up in, on 14 acres up in Whitmore, California, which is about 60 miles east of Redding. And he's in the deep woods up there in Whitmore, and he had a trout stream in about 14 acres. And one night, I was. laying on the couch in his place, and I heard this noise out back, like a really loud crashing noise. And I opened up my eyes, and there was this big foot staring at me through the window. He was about nine foot tall. His shoulders were about four and a half, five foot wide.

Starting point is 00:01:47 He was just enormous and scary. I couldn't even move. I was so terrified. I was 10 years old, you know, and I was terrified. But apparently these things just have a habit of looking through winter. windows and I opened up my eyes and he was staring right at me man I thought he was gonna come through the window and gave me I literally peed my pants man and I didn't say anything to anybody the next day I went outside to see what the crash was and I had an aquarium

Starting point is 00:02:16 back there on a on a table with my snakes in there and the aquarium was actually on the ground and my snakes were gone and there were prints all around my dad my grandpa's place. So and there's a trail that leads from my grandpa's place to a fishing hole about about a quarter mile down in the woods. If you follow the stream down there, there's a blockade of a where we go trout fishing. And I think Bigfoot lives on the next door neighbor's property in that area because there's nobody on that property. And I think because of the trout stream, it draws deer and it draws all kinds of animals to it. I think that's what he's, he was doing was he was actually hunting the stream that night. And it was pretty scary. I left the very next day and I've never been back to my grandpa's sense. That terrified me honestly. And, you know, I never had never even thought of anything before because I've been up there many times and I've walked that trail down to the trout stream and fished and blah, blah, blah,

Starting point is 00:03:22 and then all of a sudden that one night it terrified me. I never went back. I left my grandpa's never went back. I didn't tell anything of anybody about it because I didn't want to get teased or, you know, people saying, oh, yeah, you didn't see this or you didn't see that. Hey, man, I know what I saw. I might have been 10 years old, but I know what I saw. And then my second sighting, I used to own a cabin up in a place called Iowa Hill, which is by Colfax in Auburn, California, Northern California, about two hours north of Sanfran or Sacramento. And this was a day. deep forest. I lived in a place called Iowa Hill. It's up by Forest City. You can Google it,

Starting point is 00:04:05 and it's really deep woods. I was fishing. I went down a fire trail, and I saw a bunch of bear scat at the bottom of the trail, so I was kind of worried about getting out and fishing in that spot. But man, when you're catching 20-inch rainbow trout out of that spot, how can you say no? You know, so I got out, and I went to do some fishing, and I heard something coming through the woods. I thought it was that bear that left that scat. And next thing you know, about 10 feet away from me, man, a big foot came out of the woods, and he was staring right at me. He was growling a little bit, but he wasn't very, it didn't seem like he was mad or angry

Starting point is 00:04:43 because, you know, maybe he wasn't the violent type, because, you know, they all have different attitudes, or maybe he didn't feel like I was a threat to him because I was just a kid and I was just fishing, you know. I was about 13 years old at the time. and I threw them three of my trout that I caught, and he took them and just walked right back into the woods. Didn't give me no gut for anything like that. But as soon as he left, I got all my stuff packed,

Starting point is 00:05:13 got my line out of the water, and I got out of there, man. You know, my dad was with me, and he saw it too, and he was just like, wow, that was pretty amazing. And I was like, yeah, he goes, let's get out of here. So we left. I've never seen him again. you know but I I've seen twice I've seen them twice in the Northern California the Northern California area you know Iowa Hill is about six hours from Nevada

Starting point is 00:05:43 the the very end of Nevada in a town called Winantanka about six hours from there and then that's then like I said we're we're in the Sierra Nevada's you know and And they were two quite different experiences, you know. And I thought I was dead. I thought he was going to kill me, honestly, you know, because I've heard stories and I've seen all those, you know, like the creature, Boggy Creek and stuff like that. I've seen all those videos and stuff.

Starting point is 00:06:16 And, you know, and what's the other guy? The skunk ape, you know, in Missouri, they've got the skunk ape. And, you know, I saw all that stuff when I was a kid. And then I've seen a movie where Bigfoot's were throwing rocks that had some miners that were in a cabin and stuff and throwing, you know, so I always thought these things were like mean and, and just killing, killing machines, you know, but the one that stared through my grandpa's window at me, I really thought that guy was going to come through that window and get me, man. But the one up there, I was terrified. My knees were shaking, and I was so scared. I was, like, frozen in place, man. I couldn't move.

Starting point is 00:07:01 I couldn't have done anything at the time. And like I said, I threw him three of my rainbow trouts, man, that I caught. And he picked him up and just walked back into the woods. Like, no big deal. That's wild. Oh, my goodness. Man, I got a few questions for you. Yeah. So your Whitmore, California, sighting, when you're 10 years old. And it was so close to you. Do you remember any specifics about what the face looked like having that close a look to it?

Starting point is 00:07:33 It kind of looked like the picture you have in the background there. Yeah. Kind of like that. But he was huge. I mean, he had, you know, his head was more, it looked a little more like kind of pointy or triangular. but I think that was just because he his hair structure on him and he had he would just look like pure muscle man like you know like he could take on an army and just I don't know he he was terrifying he was like nine foot tall because the window seal my grandpa's uh mobile trailer was actually sitting up on blocks and the bottom of that window seal was about six foot off the ground. It sat over the top of the bench that by snake aquarium was on. And he would have had to been at least nine foot tall for him to take up that whole entire window. I mean, his head was touching the very top of that window. And his shoulders, and his shoulders,

Starting point is 00:08:33 I mean, to a 10-year-old, you know, they looked about four or five foot wide. He looked, he looked huge, man. And I mean, it was, he was scary enough that I just, I got out of there the very next day. I called my dad and told me, you got to come pick me up and get me out of here. I, you know, I'm like, I can't do another day here. And, you know, he's like, what's going on, man? I just couldn't tell him, you know. Right. Oh, my goodness. Was there a smell at all that you remember? Not from the one that was outside my grandpa's place. I couldn't smell anything through that window. But the one, that's one thing I forgot to mention was I smelt a stench before. before he actually walked out the woods.

Starting point is 00:09:18 So it actually came like downwind on me. It smelled like a kind of musky and kind of like a stench, like a dead animal stench, you know, like a dead body, like he was rubbing a dead carcass on him or something. I mean, it was horrible. Yeah, you could smell him before he came out of the woods. And that's when I kind of thought something was happening. But like I said, I thought it was originally a bear.

Starting point is 00:09:46 you know okay okay what were the things that you saw that made you think okay this is definitely not a bear though oh well when he comes out on standing on two legs bears don't really walk on two legs he had human-like features you know his hands his feet his hands hung down to his knees like just just a little bit, his fingers were just a little bit past his knees. And this, this, this big foot was only about eight foot. He wasn't, he wasn't nine. He was like, like seven to eight foot. So he was probably in their thing that he was probably a teenager, you know, he was probably a teenage big foot, because I've, I've heard of him getting up to like 12 feet tall. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Oh, And he was only about seven to eight feet.

Starting point is 00:10:41 And I was only 13. So I was only like, I think at 13, I was like five foot, like five seven, five eight, something like that. I was just tiny. And he stood almost twice my height, you know, like one and a half times my height. But yeah, there was a really, really rancid smell, like rotten meat, like rotting meat or rotting flesh. You know, I don't know if you ever smell. like a dead deer carcass that's been sitting for a while man that that's that's what it smelled like man it smelled like he'd been sitting on something like an elk or a deer there's a lot of what good

Starting point is 00:11:18 wildlife up there in the northern sierras and iowa hill you know so how did this you know affect you after the age of 13 did it did it steer your life in a certain direction because of those encounters you had yeah i sold my cabin that year i sold my cabin and i sold my cabin and And I got out of Iowa Hill and I moved all the way to Michigan. You know, I just, I wanted to get as far away as possible. Like I said, if you look at like all the sightings in California, it's all up there in the Northern California's, northern Sierras mostly. You know, there's a few in the southern and mid-California,

Starting point is 00:11:58 but Northern California and like Washington, you know, it's just loaded with sightings. And I don't know. I just didn't want to, I went to Michigan. I became a hunter in Michigan when I got older. But then I got to a point where I was like, you know what? I remember what happened in California. I don't even want to go in the woods anymore.

Starting point is 00:12:20 I took on fishing instead of hunting, you know, so I could be on a boat. Yeah, sure, sure. Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, oh, man, there's so many experiences that happen in Michigan. I'm sure you've looked into it. If you haven't, you might be surprised how many, Things happen in Michigan.

Starting point is 00:12:38 It is very intense out there as well. Yeah, I just saw a thing where they found somebody videoed a Bigfoot going down the Caste River. And I was thinking, man, you know what? I used to fish the Caste River as a kid because my grandma lived there and I used to go visit her out there. And that's where me and Grandpa used to go fishing was the Cass River. and then I saw them show a video of Bigfoot walking in the Cass River. I'm glad we never ran into that guy. Absolutely.

Starting point is 00:13:11 Oh, my goodness, Eric. So, man, thank you so much for coming up. If you ever have any experiences out there in Michigan, I would love to hear about it. I wrote this report out for the BFRO, and I told them about all this stuff and where it all happened and everything, too, you know. The Bigfoot Research Organization.

Starting point is 00:13:44 And I told them the story and all that, but I haven't heard anything from them on it or anything. I mean, I can show them exactly where to go and where it was and, you know, every spot. So yeah, I always thought, you know, they would go out and check it out since there were so many reports over there. And like I said, it was, it was my grandpa's place was in the deep woods of Whitmore in like the back woods, like the back woods, like right before you get to red bluff and stuff. And it was a, man, it was a beautiful place, but scary. Let me tell you, my grandpa always told me, don't go in the woods unless you take one of the rifles with you. And I was, I never knew why. I was, I was young and dumb, so I'm thinking, why would I want to take a rifle?

Starting point is 00:14:32 I'm just going to play in the woods, you know, but apparently there's, apparently he knew something. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He knew. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Well, Eric, thank you so much for coming up. I'm going to check in with a few other people, but, man, thank you so much.

Starting point is 00:14:56 All right. What a great first. chat we've got a ton of people want to come up i see my friend wade is in here uh Wade yes um yeah i did get diagnosed with cancer a few about a week ago so we are working through that uh trusting in god and um your prayers are appreciated so we're gonna we're gonna take it out so i'm glad to see you here wait when is my next trip uh right now no trips are scheduled uh we are focusing on i just got a cancer diagnosis about a week ago. So we are getting past that first and then we will get back out there. So, um, hey, how are you? I'm doing good. How are you? Good. It was great, great talking to you

Starting point is 00:15:41 yesterday. That was fun. Um, let me, so do you for this, do you, do you like going by literally? Yeah. You can call me Eadie. Eadie? Okay, perfect. Yeah, that's what I was. I everybody knows me. Awesome. So for people that weren't here yesterday, you are with IBRO in Indiana, and you had some really amazing accounts from the Morgan Monroe State Forest, which is south of Indianapolis. And it sounds like you might have something else to share as well. Yeah. Like I said, I have so many stories. But I know yesterday I was talking about the point where I wasn't afraid of them anymore. and that I had gotten a recording. And it was the recording that stopped me from being terrified of them and more understanding.

Starting point is 00:16:37 And from then on, if we heard something in the forest, I was the one in the group that went into the forest. And all of the guys are like, what is going on? Where is she going? Because I just don't have a fear of them. but what had happened is during the, I'd say spring, summer, fall into early winter, we'd camp every single weekend to research. And during the cold winter months, the campground that we'd like to use is always closed. So what we would do is we would go up, park by the road, and hike down to the area in the campground where we'd set up. we'd have a fire and everything. And this was, I can't remember if it was late February, early March, but it was pretty cold. We had snow on the ground. I think the temp was like three or four degrees. So we were, you know, had our winter jumpsuits on the whole thing. And it was myself, my ex, and another member of the IBRO. And we set up, oh, it's probably about 10, 11 o'clock at night.

Starting point is 00:17:49 and because we knew kind of like what their winter pattern was. And we noticed in the winter time they're more active during moonless nights than they are when the moon shining because of shadows and whatnot. So we went out and it didn't start getting wild until probably about 1 o'clock in the morning. And that's when we heard the typical female howl. and that was usually followed up by coyotes barking and yipping after she would howl and they would move clockwise around the outer perimeter of the of the I don't know if you want to call it a park state forest what have you and so we heard that and everything and then it it quieted down so probably about between 2 to 30 in the morning we decided to go ahead and get packed up. So we put out the fire, got all of our equipment, putting the backpacks and everything.

Starting point is 00:18:57 And just as we had started walking up, there was a howl that was so close. Every hair on my body stood up. It was so close. It couldn't have been any more than 40, 50 feet away. And immediately we took off running. Because we had to run all the way up the gravel road to get to where our cars were parked outside the barricade by the road. And I mean, I've never seen men run so fast in my life. But we got up there.

Starting point is 00:19:37 We got in the cars and everything. And our friend from IBRO went ahead and took off. And we were sitting there and my ex goes, oh, crap. And I'm like, what? And he's like, I left the recorders down there. So I was like, he's like, well, I could always come back and get him in the morning. I said, we're supposed to have rain in the morning when it starts warming up. And he's like, well, shoot.

Starting point is 00:20:01 So we turned on the headlights and he walked all the way down. He retrieved him. We got home. I was like, I've got to see if we picked up that howl because it was so close. And so I went ahead and hooked it up and brought it up on the computer. and started listening to it. And sure enough, not only did it catch that howl as soon. And it was one of those where he started low, went up high, and then went down low again.

Starting point is 00:20:31 After that, the Bigfoot started talking. And like I said, it sounded almost like a Native American language. And he spoke for about 30 seconds. and at the end he made this woo kind of noise and I just I kept playing it over and over and over and it was almost to me it sounded like a yearning like don't leave I was enjoying watching you it didn't sound aggressive or anything even the hell was more of a woo rather than a growl or anything of that nature. So I listened over and over and over and I said, they're not here to hurt us. And so I talked to the IBRO,

Starting point is 00:21:26 and we had somebody in the group who was a linguist for the United States Army and who does a lot of the recordings for Finding Bigfoot. And he said, send it to me. So I went ahead and sent it to him. And he said, you 100% caught a Sasquatch. And he said that language at the end that is the word they use for human. And I was kind of blown away.

Starting point is 00:22:00 But he, like I said, he does a lot of that. And like I said yesterday, I have, I still have the recording. I would I don't know if I could pull it up on my phone if you if I played it if you could hear it or not okay yeah I don't know because it's it's in my I have it up on my Google what you call it and like I said this happened in 2014 2015 and I have kept it that long but it's but it's Of course, it has been, you know, kind of cleaned up to kind of raise the sound a little bit, but you can hear him speaking very, very clearly. And like I said, from that moment on, I was no longer scared. Because when they're that close to you, even if they're chasing you out of the forest, as big as they are, as fast as they are, if they want to hurt you,

Starting point is 00:23:08 can hurt you, you better believe they could hurt you. And being that close of proximity and that howl being so close that I could feel it in my chest and they didn't hurt us. And from then on is when I completely changed how I saw them and everything. And it was shortly after that that I started writing the books. But I don't know. All I know is if I put the thing, if I minimize my screen, it causes the sound to be delayed. So maybe after you bring somebody else on, I can go ahead, bring it up and have it ready and try to play it.

Starting point is 00:24:03 We could try that. Or, I mean, if you're up for it, you could even, you send it to me an email. Yeah. I mean, it wouldn't be live, but I could check it out. You could send it to my email is bigfoot society at e-mail.com. And then I could at least hear it. I know it wouldn't be live, but, you know,

Starting point is 00:24:25 then I could check it out. I really would like to hear it, but totally up to what you're willing to do there. I'd love to share it with you because, like I said, We have done it. We have shared it at many places that we have spoke. We've spoke libraries all around Indiana and we did a paranormal convention and we played it there. And it is, it's just, I don't know. I just like I told me, said there are very few recordings like this out there. And that's something that I've just held near and dear to my heart. because I feel lucky to have gotten it. Have you ever heard of any activity out in Turkey Run State Park? I have. Okay. Awesome.

Starting point is 00:25:16 My daughter was out there a couple weekends ago. She said she didn't hear anything, but she saw signs that they were around. Cool. That's awesome. I had an interview once, and she thought it's like one of a, going through a portal and seeing a family of Bigfoot. It was a very intense story. But I've heard from a few people that Turkey Run has had some things happen around it.

Starting point is 00:25:46 But Indiana is just, I mean, and then down in Hoosier National Forest, there's, I mean, further south you go, it seems to get crazier. Yeah, well, we have a lot of limestone. We have a lot of underground caves and tunnels. and things like that, that I know that's where a lot of the places where they're hiding. That's just the way I believe it. And a lot of people don't realize that Indiana's not flat. We don't have mountains, but you hit a certain point in central Indiana going south, that it's like there are so many hills and valleys and everything that it's a lot more

Starting point is 00:26:33 rustic and so many forests and everything than people realize that we have. Right. Exactly. I mean, I've been to southern Indiana at least once and it was very eye-opening. Is it possible, you know, I don't know, is it even possible to try to play the recording right now? I think you said if you try it, it may have a delay, but if you're not. Try. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:27:04 I'm just, if I lose contact with you, you know why, but I'm going to go ahead and bring that up and see if I can play it. Give it a try. Here we go.
