Now more with Bill Meyer.
All right.
Want to dig down into the political dirt here with the Media Research Center guest.
He is Joseph Vasquez, Associate Editor of MRC Business.
And Joseph, welcome to the show.
Good handy on, sir.
Hey, Bill.
Thanks for having me.
Right, we got to find out what the Prince of Darkness, the Prince of Political Darkness is up to,
and that is George Soros.
You know, you don't hear a lot about George Soros.
You know, he made a lot of money, $8 trillions over the years here, but he's looking to buy the midterms.
And we want to find out what your latest over at MRC business is all about on this,
huh?
Could you tell us?
Oh, well, what we discovered was that one of his groups had dumped $15 million into his
into a super pack, democracy pack.
So it already signals that George Solace is not exactly taking retirement too well
and is looking to still be active in the 2026 midterms.
So 50 million, is that the biggest one so far?
How does that rank up to the other billionaires out there?
Oh, yeah.
It makes him exactly the largest donor so far in the midterm elections,
just like he did in 2022 when he spent over 176 million,
making him the top dog in the political donor field.
So it just goes to show that, look, Solis may have handed the reins over to his son Alex,
but he's definitely not slowing down, and he's definitely not giving up his obsession with buying elections.
Okay. Well, at least we know what we're up against this time around.
What is the – do you know what the Republican Party is looking like at this point in its various packs and things?
Is it relatively healthy? Or are we looking at less cash than maybe at other midterms?
Any way of taking a look at that?
Well, Maria Madelson, you know, actually came in second.
She gave around like $40 million to, you know, to respect to Republican causes, you know, for the, you know, for the 2026th terms.
But what it does show is that the Democrats or the liberal donor base is really fixed.
They're trying to kneecap President Trump's agenda by pumping as much money as they can and trying to spin the election, you know, to the left.
You know, so we know that many of the Republicans seats are vulnerable.
So the leftist billionaire base is trying to take advantage of that.
George Soros is, you know, this is his modus operandi, spending ungodly amounts of money
in order to manipulate elections into a way that fits or comports with his open society's vision for the world,
which is extremely dark and extremely utopian.
But he's willing to do that because he thinks that money talks.
And he says, like, in the end, anyone can be bought.
And that's why he's spending this much money.
You know, I hate to say that, but he's probably right.
It's a sound strategy, wouldn't you say, overall?
Oh, no, absolutely.
Like, he's no fool by any means.
I mean, like, he's, like, you know, he'd be like,
he's kind of like an evil genius for all intents and purposes.
I mean, the way he views himself,
and it's really terrifying when you see just how this man views himself,
like, in the world, he said in the 1990s,
it was reported by the independent that source had said,
it's not easy being God, the creator of everything,
but I began to feel better about it now that I began to live it out.
Does that, I mean, need I say more?
This guy literally has a God complex.
Oh, yeah, that's, yeah, that's pretty clear there.
All right, so.
Yeah, exactly.
All right, Joseph.
So, now, Miriam Adelson, 40 million.
How much of that is to get rid of that one Kentucky senator?
I have to water because, you know, she's, you know, heavy-duty Zionists.
She's putting a lot of money in, in, to probably influence that, I would imagine.
Wouldn't that be fair?
No, no, no, no.
I mean, like, you know, for sure.
I mean, like, you know, at the end of the day.
day, you know, if the Republican donor base are going to make any waves in trying to, you know,
to maintain the Republican majority, they have to be just as radical about dismantling the
Soros agenda as Soros is radical about creating it. You know, that's the only way that you're
going to be able to defeat the source machine, because guess what? The source machine is an endless
well of money. And unless, you know, the Republican donor base steps up its game,
it could be a very interesting election, let's say the least.
Yeah.
You know, I was wondering what was going to happen here, Joseph,
after President Trump and the Republicans ended up defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting,
because I know in the state of Oregon, Oregon public broadcasting about a third,
maybe a fourth to a third of its income, came from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
And, you know, and they always say that, you know, and our shows are brought to you,
by listeners like you, et cetera.
But no, most of it is bought by corporate donors to a certain extent and
Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
So Corporation for Public Broadcasting shuts down.
So no money going into Big Bird and all that kind of stuff.
What has replaced it?
And that's pretty interesting, too.
Well, who knew that capitalism works?
The NPR managed to fish out some liberal donors from the ether and get it to fill in the gaps.
Wow, you mean to tell me that the market works?
You mean they could have been paying for this all along?
Oh, yeah.
Color me shocked.
Color me shocked that liberal donors want to keep NPR's wheels greased.
I mean, it's just amazing to me because the thing is,
anytime you try to talk about stripping away NPR's tax funding, they'll say, oh, you're
against public radio.
Well, wait a minute.
When you try to criticize them for being government-funded propaganda, they say, oh,
the tax funding just accounts for 3% of our budget.
I'm like, well, which is it then?
If it accounts for only 3% of your budget, then it shouldn't hurt you when we take tax dollars away,
and then you can fill that gap with global donor money.
But if it does make up a bigger portion of your budget, that's even more terrifying because it essentially makes you an arm of the federal government.
And how pray tell does that scream independent press to you?
Somebody make that make that make sense to me.
And if all you're going to sue left is propaganda, and guess what?
Do it on your own dime for crying out loud.
All right.
Now, the thing is, though, can you still call it public radio, though?
Or public television, really, when you think about it, because the whole idea of public was that there was government funding, you know, behind it, I think, in the beginning at least, wasn't it?
I mean, I mean, National Private Radio Maynage might not exactly be the best marketing label, but guess what?
If you want to provide that service, do it on your own dime.
You don't need the taxpayer money in order to do it for you.
Okay.
Now, was Soros writing big fat checks to NPR and public television?
or not? Of course. There's NPR like some years ago, and NPR ended up getting raked over
the calls for accepting money from this leftist billionaire while receiving taxpayer dollars.
It was a big scandal years ago, and NPR had to come out and admit it.
Okay, well, who are the big donors for NPR this time around?
I mean, like, you know, right now, the big donor actually, the person that they found
to fill in the gap actually came from Microsoft co-founder Steve Ballmer's wife, Connie.
He gave around, I think, $80 million, which counted for the $113 million in private gifts that NPR had immediately landed.
Tani Balmer actually made up the big portion of it.
And I'm like, oh, wow, figure that up.
I mean, it wasn't that hard for you to be able to fill in the gap.
Like we've been saying, we conservatives have been saying, for years, that you could be able to find the money if you just look under enough rocks,
and there's sure enough, it didn't take them long to fill in that gap.
So guess what?
It shows it the entire thing from the get-go for receiving taxpayer dollars, the whole thing was a scam on the American people.
Boy.
It was subsidizing leftist propaganda, and that's all it was.
Now, I'm kind of curious here, Joseph, over at the NPR, do you know, do they have a special school for the announcers there that Connie Balmer is now paying for,
in which you always have to speak in a certain way, and you never raise your voice above a service.
certain level. You ever notice that there's a certain, there's a certain
stylistic deal of national public radio in which you never get too excited?
Well, yeah. I mean, like, you know, it just, yeah, Puerto Rican, Puerto Rican Latinos
like me probably wouldn't do well in the national public radio, uh, study.
And on top of that, you probably talk with your hands and then you'd hit the microphone,
right? Oh, oh, forget it. I mean, like, you know, forget it. The flip-flops are throwing around.
and you don't want to discipline everybody.
I mean, Puerto Rican style discipline.
I mean, it's just the way it is, my friend.
I grew up with a father from Brooklyn and a mother from the Bronx.
I mean, you know, we're all Puerto Rican family,
so we have a lot of high energy here.
But guess what?
You know what?
At least I could speak my mind freely on conservative talk radio,
and I wouldn't have it any other way.
But for NPR, you could speak milk toes, but guess what?
You better be towing the party line or else you get canned.
So they're not going away anytime soon.
It's good to know that, at least, Joseph.
Joseph Vosquez, associate editor at MRC business.

What's your main website there so people can read up on this?
Because, like I said, the money's still coming in to these outlets.
Absolutely.

I didn't switch to Pure Talk just because I wanted to save 50% off the same 5G service I'd been paying twice as much for.
I switch because I like the idea of being in business with a wireless company that supports our veterans in a meaningful way.
Pure Talk also creates American jobs every day by keeping their entire operation in this country.
I appreciate that.
If you feel the same, dial pound 250.
Say Micro and switch to an American wireless company that actually stands for something.

The goal? A post-human species engineered by tech, colonizing the galaxy. Must Norrelink has already

com slash cam you're hearing the bill mire show on 1063 km ed now bill wants to hear from you 541 770
563 that's 770 km ed glad to have you here by the way russ and donna write me this morning
the email bill at bill at billmyers show dot com about the road redo downtown option 2a i was talking about
that a little bit earlier not the three store not the three store not the three store not the
three roads, but it would be
left side
would be 40 parking spaces,
angled parking space. Then you'd have two
traffic lanes, one unbuffered
bike lane, five feet long,
five feet wide rather, and then
parallel parking on the right
side, which is kind of the way
they have it right now, except they would not have that
extra space. It would be a five
foot wide standard bike
lane, all right? And Russ and Donna say,
Bill, if I understand you, right, the cars that are
parking at an angle are going to be backing up
into the bike lane and now there's a blind side.
To me, it sounds like there's going to be a lot of bicycle injuries, lawsuits,
and then what redo the road again, just saying.
Actually, that's not the case.
The bicycle or the angled parking is on the left side of the road, Russ and Donna,
so they will be backing up into traffic.
It'll be just a standard, you know, look behind you and see if there's traffic coming,
then you can bike back into that lane.
Okay?
That's the way the diagram appears to me.
All right.
All right. Now then, ladies and gentlemen, citizen Krebs joins me. Hello, Mike. How you doing?
Good morning. Good morning, Bill. I so appreciate your guest's enthusiasm with regards to raising funds to match the Prince of Darkness, Mr. George Soros. I get that.
Yeah. But we still have the issue of getting the apathetic ninkum poops to actually vote.
That is a real challenge. You know, I had an email of the day that I gave to Paul.
Princeton this morning because he's going down your road. I don't know if you heard that or not.
I did not. Yeah. Yeah, Paul Princeton wrote and he was talking about, he kind of likes your
ID. He thinks he thinks it should be a $100 fine if you don't vote in the election.
Did he write that? Yeah. Is it posted?
Well, I read it this morning. I read it.
Okay. I did not hear that. I'm sorry. I should have.
Yeah. But he's going down there because you're the one that first brought it to me about
mandatory voting and you're thinking that that would actually help us overall, right?
I think to understand who the actual electric really is, I just want you to vote so that it truly
is a representation of the people, not according to, you know, if you have 50 to 60% of the
people who do not vote, how do you know? Well, look at what happens every time there's a school
board election here, Citizen Krebs. Every time it's what the
Medford Education Association, what the teachers union wants in Medford.
That's what they get.
Right. And so you had a guest on a couple of days ago.
It's not the client effect.
What was the guy's name?
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, the Dr. Eric Fruits.
There's this effect about the currie.
I think it's the Curry effect.
The Curly, yes.
Curly effect.
The self-fulfilling prophecy of people.
pointing the electric in a certain direction, but have people who vote, of course you're going
to get exactly what they want on the votes of the few. And that's a real problem. And I think
that if Paul really wants to take this mantle and go with it, I get behind it 100%.
All right. Well, I'm good with it, too. I thought it's a great idea. I'm glad you brought it up.
At first, there's a party going, mandatory voting. Should we mandate? It's like, yeah, because what he was
saying is that ultimately you end up getting a better view of what truly the people are thinking
about if you are forcing the vote. And yeah, you'll get stupid votes right now. Of course,
you get stupid votes right now even with informed people. You know, sometimes you can make a stupid
choice. Right. But that idea was the none of the above vote. That's true.
And to give those people the voice. If they want to vote no other than above, that's great.
You know, I just want them to get involved. And the best way to
to get people involved is to incentivize them in their pocketbook.
And I forgot about the none of the above.
I forgot about that aspect of your proposal.
So I like the idea, $100 fine and none of the above.
So there's a none of the above vote.
So this way it's not just a matter whoever puts their hand up.
And then I guess you'd have to vote again, right?
That's correct.
All right.
Yeah.
Thank you, citizens, crab.
All right?
You're very welcome.
All righty, 835.
After news, we're going to do the Diner 62 Real American Quiz.
This is going to be a fun question.
This is a fun question.
It involves television and Saturday Night Live, a vintage one.
There is a anniversary coming up tomorrow of a Saturday Night Live beloved feature.
All right, 770, KMED.
If you haven't won this in the last 60 days, you can win it next on KMED and KBXG.
Every month, it feels like your money doesn't go as far.
is it used to. Groceries costs more, gas costs more, and property taxes keep going up. For many
families in Josephine County, it's getting harder to keep up. John West understands that because he's
been working alongside you, serving this county, and listening. He believes government should make
life easier, not more expensive. That's why John has a plan to lower property taxes by cutting
waste, improving efficiency, and making sure your tax dollars are spent wisely. Not growing government,
but making it work better for you.
With over 30 years of business experience and a proven record as county commissioner, John has already
saved taxpayers over $2 million, kept an open door to the public and stood against pay raises
for the politicians.
Because to him, this isn't politics.
It's about the people.
Lower taxes, smarter government, leadership you can trust.
Vote John West for Josephine County Commissioner.

KMED News, here's what's going on.
Former Oregon Congressman Lori Chavez-Darimer is out at the Trump administration as she resigned her Labor Secretary-Position Monday.
This is in the wake of an internal misconduct probe alleging several abuses of power, including drinking on the job, having an affair with a member of her security team, and using government-paid travel for mostly personal reasons.
The administration is saying that Chavez-Daremer had resigned to take a position with the private sector, but not giving any more details.
A proposed truck stop in East Phoenix is drawing some fire.
K-OBI-5 reports a group of residents coming out against the truck stop, which would be located on the northwest corner of Fern Valley and Grove Road.
Some saying it would impact air quality, others saying it would duplicate services at an existing truck stop across the street.
One resident even saying it would make it more difficult to evacuate the area in event of a wildfire.
The city is still gathering public comment on the project and will submit a suggestion to the Planning Commission.
A kitchen fire in a Wilderville home sends two residents to the hospital with smoke inhalation and
burn injuries. News Watch 12 reporting that fire happening Sunday at the 5200 block of Fish Hatchery Road.
One person inside had grabbed a garden hose to knock down the fire while firefighters pulled three
people to safety. And money challenges in Portland as Mayor Keith Wilson reveals a proposed $8.5 million
budget. The city's facing a $160 million shortfall, plans to slash millions from various
agencies, parks, police, and services for the homeless while protecting core city functions. Bill Meyer,

The Blues Brothers make their world premiere on Saturday Night Live.
Yep, that's why we're going to be talking about this morning here.
And let's go to John.
Hello, John, you are up first this morning.
How you been?
Morning.
Hi.
Now, it was tomorrow, 1978.
Saturday Night Live showcases the worldwide TV view of the debut,
rather, of the Blues Brothers.
But not quite real, not quite fake musical creation, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi.
And it came complete with a made-up origin story, rather.
According to Paul Schaefer, who introduced the new act,
it was Marshall Checker of the legendary Checker brothers who first discovered them
in the gritty blues clubs of Chicago, etc.
So he makes up a whole big, no story.
So it was a lot of fun.
So now, the characters that Belushi and Akroyd unveiled that night took more than two years to evolve.
The first incarnation came during SNL's first season, John.
It was back in 1976.
No dark suits, no skinny ties or ray bands.
But they were in costume, and it did feature Akroyd on the harmonica and John Belushi on vocals.
They were belting out a blues classic very much in the style of the Blues Brothers.
So what were they dressed up for their very first performance?
What was their costume when the Blues Brothers first did it?
Was it A, where they dressed as dogs?
Was it B, the moon and the star?
Was it C where they dressed as musical instruments?
Was it D dressed like B's?
Or was it E? Sad Clowns?
It's one of those five.
What do you say?
Oh, boy.
Dogs, moon and star, musical instruments, bees or sad clowns?
Well, I remember the bees on Saturday Night Live, so I'm going to go with that.
You're going to go with the bees.
It's a good day.
Yeah.
I'm glad you remembered the bees that saved you this time, right?
Yeah.
Their first appearance, they took the stage performing as I'm a king bee.
as Howard Shore and his All-Bee ban, all right?
Now, the funny thing is that where they ended up,
where John Belushi ended up getting the style deal,
he ended up going to Eugene during the hiatus
between Saturday Night Live seasons here.
And, of course, they had filmed Animal House in Eugene, too.
And it was there that Belushi met a blues man.
You may know him.
Curtis Salgado.
You ever heard of him?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Future Harmonica player for Robert Cray,
Frontman for a room full of blues.
And he kind of had that look.
And that's where he got that feel and that look of what he wanted for the Blues Brothers.
I thought that was pretty interesting story.
So, John, we're sending you to Niners 62.
Hang on.
Let me get your last name.
Thanks for playing.
Do some more of that.

Great to have you here, quarter before nine, open for business.
We want to catch up with the deals and the steals over at what's going on at no wires now.com.
No wires now.
How you doing, Charisse?
Welcome back.
Good morning, Bill.
Good morning, everyone.
Now, I understand it the way you're telling me is that you have a special deal, maybe if you're not happy with your dish right.
Isn't that the case?
Yeah.
Yeah, I've had quite a few customers complaining that, you know, their bills are going up.
And that's kind of a normal thing after a couple of years.
And I love to make a buck.
So I've been switching people, you know, to this new direct TV service.
It's 4K, no satellite TV, $99 a month.
I'll hope you cancel your old stuff.
I'll take your equipment back and I'll lower your Internet for free.
Is this particular direct TV service?
Is this a streaming service?
Is that how that works?
Yeah.
Okay.
It is. And, you know, before I was like, ew, I don't want that, you know, but there's a lot of people building new homes. They don't want satellites on their house.
They, you know, the dish bills are, you know, everything is going up. So it's okay to switch once in a while. If you're getting all the channels you want, you're getting the awesome DVR, you're getting the 4K. Why not? Switch with me.
Okay. So it ends up working the same way as like the dishes hopper. Is that one I'm hearing? I just want to make sure.
Exactly. It's the same thing. It's a little tiny fog that.
connects to the back of the
HDMI. And my
daughter, she's working for me now full
time. She will come out
and install everything for you,
show you how to use your equipment,
and then she'll help you cancel your old
service and then help you with your
internet bills and cell phone bills as well.
All right, very good. Now, you're out there
saving a lot of money for people, and we always
appreciate this here.
What is happening in the internet world
at this point? Some of the best
deals. If you, yeah, if you're
getting, you know, they're coming up your driveway and they're installing Spectrum or Hunter,
call me, don't call the 1-800 number or the boy knocking on the door. I will give you
way better service than anyone else. Well, the guy knocking on the door lately, Cherise,
I don't know if that person has been in your neighborhood, but he's got the clipboard.
And what he's trying to sell is, hey, you know, we're trying to get you a neighborhood deal
on the pest control. Have you seen those guys? Yeah, or the leaves or whatever. You know,
Yeah.
It's cool.
You know, people got to survive these days, and that's why I'm here to save you guys money.
Yeah.
Come down to the store.
Let me give you a free consultation.
Bring a copy of your bill.
If you don't have one, I'll print it for you.
Tell me what you like, what you don't like.
And, you know, everybody's situation is different.
Yeah.
And the thing is when people become, yeah, when people become your client, though,
now if you don't want to become her client, I guess you could do a small fee for working on the bill.
negotiation, right? You'll do that. Yeah, you know, I can definitely, we can definitely
figure something out if I can't switch you. Be cautious, switching to Starlink from cable
internet. It's not unlimited. It lags. You know, call me before you do it, because it's just
not that great. Now, you do offer Starlink, though, don't you? Yeah, I do, but it's really
designed for people that live out in the country. If you're in town, there's way better internet
than Starlink. It's not the best for in town. So,
You know, I've seen a lot of people switching to it, and I'm like, ooh, you know, but that's okay.
If you switch to it, I'll switch you back.
Yeah, it's not, it's not, well, it's a pricier way of getting Internet in many ways.
But if you are going to be out in the middle of nowhere, let's say you're an RV person or something.
It makes a little sense.
I can see how that really works or if there's no way.
But if you can get into the Hunter or if you can get into the Spectrum or some other similar service, you'll probably be happier overall, right?
Yeah, you know, it's satellite.
light. It's got a lag. It's not the fastest, and it's truly not unlimited. So you'll be halfway
through the month, and then all of a sudden, your internet's really slow. Just like, you know,
Hew's net, bias, that, well, it's the same concept. So come talk to me before you, you know,
before you switch. Yeah, I was checking that out sometimes for it because, you know, you always
wonder, well, could this work for a transmitter site, right? Well, not if you're streaming to the
transmitter site because you end up using your data down very quickly.
You know, that sort of thing.
And that's why, yeah, we're going to stick with the record.
Right.
And Hunter and Spectrum, they're unlimited.
They're truly unlimited.
They're fiber, super fast.
Hunter tore up my road, though.
I'll tell you what.
I'm kind of irritated with that.
Other than that, you know.
They tore up ours, too.
Yeah, they put the little patch thing down.
Yeah.
It doesn't look that great, but, you know, what are you going to do?
Oh, well, that's true.
Well, they had the ease, but it's all I can say.
Hey, any cell phone deals this month or any cell service deals that you got going,
On a long time you were pushing the spectrum voice or the spectrum mobile.
Yeah. So it's free for a year. After that, it's 25 for a gig. Unlimited is running about 40 right now, tax free, no contract. If you have DISH, I can get you unlimited high speed or excuse me, unlimited data. Keep your same phone. Keep your same number. 15 bucks a month. I mean, that's the best deal in town. If you got Dish,
I can get you that.
All right.
All sorts of ways to make it happen.
And it all starts with getting in touch with Cherise at no wires now.
No wires now.com.
Best thing to do, you can just call or text message her.
In fact, you could even text messenger right now.
I think she has it on silent so we can have our conversation right now.
But it's 541-680-5875.
541-680-5875.
If you can text message maybe a copy of your bill and start the process, pretty simple.
right? Yeah, and I got two Harry and David baskets left, so the first two people that come in today,
they get a basket. All right. Very good. So race in there. I can see the cars racing to get into it.
And where is your office on Biddle Road, for those that don't know at this point?
I'm next to Boost Mobile and Cigar Caves in the Biddle Center, somewhere between FedEx, Kinko's and People's Bank.
All right. There we go. Thanks for being on Open for Business, Cherise. Good stuff.
Thank you, Bill.
All right. Beckel a client, 541-680-5875. Of course, there could be restrictions that it could apply, depending on your situation, but just talk to sureations. She'll explain all that, okay? Good morning.
This is News Talk 1063, KMED.
and you're waking up with the Bill Myers show.
Oh, sorry about that.
I didn't realize I had to be back so quickly.
I didn't have my music.
Got to have my music.
All right.
You know, when you're answering the phones during the break and everything else,
let's just get through the calls.
Todd's here.
Todd, good to have you on.
Good morning, sir.
What's up?
Good morning.
I wanted to recommend to your listeners,
who I'm sure they feel horrible
about not being able to listen to all three hours every single day.
But back on April 3rd,
it goes off into the ether, you have it on your podcast. In the 8 o'clock hour, you had Dr. Michael
Gien, and he was a scientist. He is a scientist, and it was a great hour of broadcast. I highly
recommend that people look it up and listen to it. It was very inspiring. He talked about how he
grew up an atheist and how his delves into deep science led him to believe that there is the
great spirituality and metaphysical binding of us and the universe and God. And I thought it was
just fantastic. I'm glad you enjoyed that because I really enjoyed it too. And the documentary that
he has put out is, by the way, it's called the Invisible Everywhere is what it is. And...
Have you seen it? Yeah. Not yet. I have not taken the time and busy on the weekends these last few
weeks, but I am going to buy a copy of that and pick it up. But the Invisible Everywhere.com.
And really the part that that cheered me out of this was that his realization through science that it truly is, you know, the creator's supernatural universe of sorts that, you know, really what happens would look to be a miracle, but really is part of the plan.
Yeah, I have shared it with some friends and one lady I know listened to it several times.
She really enjoyed it.
Oh, but since I don't want to leave on a positive note, let's be negative.
Oh.
It's too sick.
I got two glossy color flyers from Christine Grayson, who Kevin Sterrett and us, we love her so much.
And I'm sure you got the same garbage in your mailbox, too, showing how much she respects the Second Amendment.
And it shows guys with rifles and bullets and all sorts of stuff.
And it's so pandering.
And can people see through this?
I mean, she didn't really stand behind us.
She could have locked it down with the denying quorum and stopped a lot of other bad stuff, too.
But she probably thinks that, you know, just showing a bunch of guys with guns is going to make people think that she's on our side.
And I'd like to remind her that Second Amendment isn't really about duck hunting, Christine.
Oh, I know.
But you see, that's the safe way to present it.
You get that, though, Todd, right?
Well, yeah, I mean, you know, it's just throwing red movie to us.
Yeah, I know.
Just one of the things.
Yeah, the blues, you're talking about the Blues Brothers.
Cab Callaway used to live in my neighborhood down in L.A.,
and he used to drive around from Blues Brothers, you know, Heidi Ho, Minnie the Moocher, the great song in that movie.
And I used to see him tooling around and he had a personalized license plate, Heidi Ho.
That's cute.
Love it. Todd, thanks for the story.
770K.M.E.D.
All right. Hi, KMED. Who's this morning?
This is Ray.
Hi, Ray.
Yeah, because the deal with East Main Street, that probably worked between Riverside and Oakdale, except for around the railroad track and over Bear Creek.
So you're thinking that the left lane parking is okay, a couple of lanes of travel, non-buffered bike lane and parking on the right for that Main Street downtown core is okay.
You think that's all right?
Oh, I lost him.
Okay.
Let me go to the next one.
Hi, KMED.
Who's this?
Morning.
Good morning, Bill.
Hi.
Hey, I was going to talk about the voting, you know, mandatory voting.
Yeah, what do you think about mandatory voting, which a couple of people have been proposing here?
I think you first, before you do that, if you're going to do that, I don't like it on the federal level at all.
But what's going to stop the same people from controlling both sides, just like they do on the federal level?
Here's your pick, you know, and you get to pick.
because they just fund the two guys they want.
Left, right, doesn't make no difference.
They do that on every level.
Yeah, it doesn't fix that aspect of it.
I will agree with you.
But getting more people mandatorily in it
might help some or dilute some of the special interest
taking over, especially the smaller turnout elections like the primary.
And I think that's kind of what they were looking for.
But your point well taken on the other side of that, Michael.
Thank you. Let me grab one more call. I got time for one call. Hi, good morning, and who might you be?
Hello.
Hi, Monica. This is Monica. Hi, Monica. You've got about 45 seconds. Can you make a great point to wrap it up?
I just wanted to let you know that she's back, Denise Krause for state senator. Yay.
I know. I saw a sign and I went, oh, God, do we ever going to get rid of her?
Take that. I think she is one of three of three.
Democrats that are running for that
role right now.
Oh, God.
She never quits.
She never quits.
Okay, just thought I would let you know.
Monica, I appreciated it greatly.
And you have a great day. That's the Pebble in Monica's shoe today,
Denise Krause.
Oh, well,
it's 858 and change.
My email, by the way, is bill at Billmyershow.com.
Got to go, but I will be back for tomorrow morning.
It is wheels up Wednesday.
Lots of good stuff to talk about, along with your emails, too.
Welcome back to Take a Guess.
Okay, we're now entering the speed round.
Where's that crowd noise coming from?
First question.
What makes an existing building pop even more when getting a new metal roof from Fontana roofing?
Wait a minute.
Is this a trick question?
Five seconds.
New sighting from Fontana roofing.
Yes.
Next question.
Most common phrase when Fontana...
