Yeah, there we go.

There we go.
Got it all.
Phil's in Rogue River, Phil.
Election question for you this morning, huh? Go ahead.
Yeah.
Good morning, Bill.
Morning.
Yeah, my question was when you had the polling issue or conversation with that deal is that he said that half of the people had already voted.
And my concern was I haven't even got a ballot for that yet.
The only ballot I got was for all those judges and the measure 120 on the back of the page.
What that would tend to indicate to me is that you are not registered.
as a Republican.
Yeah, that's what it sounds like.
That would be what happened.
The only reason that you wouldn't have received that
because it's all on the same ballot.
And if you are a partisan,
if you're registered as a partisan,
you'll get the partisan candidates with that.
So I don't think they have you.
It's misregistered or something.
I would go talk with the county clerk, okay?
Wow, because I just asked the wife about it the other day,
and I was like, we are registered Republicans,
and she was like, yes.
So, yeah, I'll be heading down there probably today then.
All right, check it out.
But my other little quick comment was, is I was the one that called on that 86-47 shed,
and it seems to be resolved, which I'm happy about.
Yep, it's all gone.
Thanks for letting me use your airways to handle that situation.
Happy to do so.
Thank you very much, Phil.
Let me go to Steve.
Hello, Steve.
Good to have you here.
Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
Go ahead.
Well, there's a lot of conspiracies out there,
and some of them are just realities.
As far as the aliens go, I've been a science fiction fan forever since the 50s, actually,
and I've read all the basics.
And did you know that C.S. Lewis, the guy who's famous for writing about Christianity,
also wrote science fiction?
I was not aware of that, no.
Yeah, there's a book called Prelandria in which he postulated,
He went through this other planet was supposedly, I think, Mars.
But anyway, on this planet, there were all kinds of different creatures, different from what's on Earth.
And one of the creatures was able to appear and disappear.
And his theory was that it existed in a different spectrum.
Oh.
Okay, so.
We might think of that as existing in a different dimension then.
Absolutely.
That was my point coming up.
We know something about the quantum universe.
I don't know how much physics you follow, but the quantum universe exists from the particles that make up atoms.
But in the quantum universe, nothing obeys the same rules that it does in the finite universe.
Einstein even predicted that there were 26 different realities, if you put, what it put it, or dimensions.
I think the aliens are some kind of entities from a different reality, a different dimension,
and they can only appear here.
And it kind of explains how come they can do all kinds of different crazy maneuvers in that they don't have to follow the finite rules because they don't live there.
They're not subject who are dimensional physical rules, the rules of physics here.
I think that's a very interesting theory.
And I've often...
I can't prove it.
No, it can't prove it, but it does make a certain amount of sense.
I appreciate that.
Thank you very much, wild salmon, wild thinker.
Let me go to the next line here.
It's Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
Good morning.
Hi, who's this?
Sunny.
Hi.
Hi.
It's my name's Phoenix.
Oh, hi, Lynn.
How are you?
I'm terrific.
It's a very interesting discussion with Kevin Lively,
and I think of it, that's his name.
But anyway, there's a podcast called Blurry Creatures, and it's a Christian podcast, but it talks about these mysterious things like Bigfoot, et cetera.
And one of the guys on the podcast has spent a lot of time in Peru, and the Peruvian Indian culture, the ancient cultures there, they have stories about these flying saucers.
It's going back thousands of years that can go in and out of the ocean rapidly.
Yes.
And it's very similar to some of what's been seeing now, and I think Steve is correct.
These are from another dimension.
They might even be demonic.
There's mysterious things in the Old Testament that aren't really explained.
And there have been some that have made that I've talked with other guests that have posited
that we're really talking about, in some cases, not all.
Of course, there are many different tribes of aliens if you study enough of it, I guess, and so, and maybe some are demonic.
It would make sense, right?
Wouldn't it?
I think what's less likely is for Christians to lose their faith, but for people with no faith to be deceived.
And we can see that with the COVID lockdown.
Secular people totally bought what authority told them, which was lies.
And we know our government lies about almost everything.
Do you get the impression?
I wonder how are you thinking, I'm sorry to interrupt there, but I still feel like this is a management technique of sorts.
Do you or not?
Yeah, I totally do.
Oh, okay.
I think your hypothesis makes a lot of sense.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because these beings or these reports have been around for as long as humans have been around, you know, even on the cave drawings.
You know, you see this, you know, all the time.
And it would seem that if it was about, okay, if it's about,
we're going to attack you, we're going to kill you and eat you and send you back to the home
world for protein for our other world. I think they would have done this a long time ago,
I would think. So the fact that we're still talking about the exact same thing 80 years from
1947 gets me a little suspicious. That's all. Well, and some of these late night radio
programs have people on and say, oh, no, the aliens are here to tell us how to save ourselves.
and that's deception also.
Yeah.
So whether the messages are good or bad, I think they're all deception,
and people should be very careful about what they're told.
I would agree with you wholeheartedly.
Thank you very much for the call.
Good call, as always.
770-5633.
Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
We've got a lot.
There's everything from the elections, the ideal talk, the, my gosh, the UFOs,
if you wanted to get into that or anything else on your mind.
Coming up.
I haven't seen Daisy's Hubbard this full in a long time.
What's going on here?
A lot has changed.
Daisy's Hubbard is now part of the Gold Beach Lumber family,

Nice.
So what does that mean for the store?
It means big improvements.
We've already invested over $1 million into the store,
updating more than 200 categories and filling the shelves with great products.
Sounds like a good time to stop in.
Absolutely.
Come see what's new at Daisy's Hubbard's in Medford.

So what ended a century-old tradition?
AI cheating.
Here's the twist.
It wasn't the faculty who killed it.
It was the students.
A large number of undergrads watched classmates use AI during exams and said,
enough is enough.
They brought it to a vote.
The faculty followed their lead.
That's disheartening.
But there is a silver lining.
There were still enough honest people in the world willing to call out
what's wrong, even when cheating is just a few keystrokes away. That counts for something.

Happy to take your calls, 7705-633-770 K-M-E-D.
And a lively conversation with Kent Hicken lively last hour.
We were talking about the latest UFO files out, and he wrote a book,
A Catastrophic Disclosure, but not, you know, not just a true believer, though.
And I appreciate that aspect of it because so many times it's like I'm
reading someone's faith when you talk about this kind of subject. And he does say the latest files
are really a big deal, especially when you look at nothing's really changed in 80 years of what
we're talking about. And to me, that means that something else is going on. But we could talk
about that and we can talk about Ed Deal. We could talk about Christine Drazen. By the way, I had a
listener that said, by the way, is Christine Drazen still living in that vineyard up in Douglas
County? No, that was a different Christine. That was Christine.
Goodwin. That was the one in that controversial race with Noah Robinson a couple of years ago.
So I just want to make sure different Christine's. Okay. All right. Let me go to Scott, Scots and Grants Pass. You are Scott number one. I have two Scots and Grants Pass for some reason this morning, Scott, but you're the first one.
Wow. Okay. So back in 1975, I had the opportunity to go to the Dayton Air Force Base Museum, which has got a ton of aircraft. I mean, everything you've always wanted to look at.
At the very end of wandering around, I found a box that had supposedly alien materials in it that were found in a farm field somewhere.
And they had described what they could best description of.
It looks like chunk of silverish metal.
And, I mean, it's sitting at the Air Force base.
What was it sitting out like a paperweight?
I mean, what?
No, no, it was in like a plexiglass box.
Your hands on it or anything.
But they actually described it as materials that were found that were unknown by some farmer in a field.
And this is in 75.
So, you know, you want to tie all this stuff together, the Air Force and the aliens and everything else.
I mean, I'm not true believer.
Yeah, I've watched a lot of exiles.
Yeah, me too.
You know, it's there.
And like your last caller had talked about different dimensions, that makes a lot of sense.
because if they're doing maneuvers that would crush a pilot inside their SA-18,
these people, people, we'll call them people, somehow have some crazy technologies that are either,
I mean, so beyond ours that they can withstand the G-forces of getting slammed in the ships or God knows what,
but they're there.
Yeah, and the federal government's admitting we were not explaining this,
or at least what they're saying, we can't explain this.
I've often wondered if it's almost like an interdimensional bubble of sorts in which another, the technology has gotten to the point with someone that or with some civilization, let's say, assuming it's a civilization, that they could put a bubble of their dimension around a craft and kind of move it around within our dimension.
And it doesn't have to follow our rules, kind of like what other people were talking about too.
You just described parts of a book that somebody else wrote about an aircraft that had a radiation field around it.
Oh, I can't even think of the name of the book right now.
But what you just talked about is so close to that guy's book.
It's interesting.
Bill, I thank you for your time.
All right.
Well, I thank you for calling, too.
And let me go to Tom.
Tom's here, too.
And we got Rick and Scott and everybody else.
We're going to get everybody on.
Hi, good morning.
Who's this?
Good morning, Bill, Tom, here.
Hey, Tom.
You know, I just want to say right off, I appreciate your versatility as a talk show host.
I mean, you've gone from music to a candidate for governor to UFOs and conspiracy and so forth.
Well, we try.
The one thing I did, I do want to apologize, though, for talking over John Fort Collie.
A listener had said, listen to yourself.
And I did.
I had difficulty with that one because there was a long, and I'm not trying to make an excuse,
but there was a long delay between I would say something and he would hear it,
and then he would say something and I hear it,
and those pauses would get me tripped up.
And so I apologize for that, folks.
It happens sometimes, okay?
Yeah, but the versatility remains.
And so I just want to compliment you on that.
I wanted to talk about what, on the UFO interview,
about when he said that Eisenhower said that he lost control of the CIA.
I don't think enough people appreciate that.
that situation because Eisenhower, when he left office, he warned the American people,
beware of the military industrial complex. In my view, my opinion, that military industrial complex
turned around and murdered the very next president, JFK, and from there, we had the assassinations
of the 60s, the Vietnam War. And to this day, I believe that 80% of the federal government is unconstitutional,
but it's been enabled by these issues that we have, as a people, as a voting population, have not dealt with.
Do you think that we have, essentially, we have the illusion of a constitutional republic kind of with a government intelligence condom shoved over us in some ways?
I wonder if that's...
I think of that is the veneer of covering the deep core fascism of the United States government.
And we have a veneer of democracy, a veneer of rule by the people.
But essentially, our government and both political parties are controlled by deep money and deep interest.
Interesting.
I appreciate your call, as always, Tom.
Let me go to Scott in Grants Pass.
And then we have John holding by, too.
I want to make sure and get John on.
Hi.
Good morning, Scott.
Hey, good morning.
Hey, you know, years ago, I heard a, there was a UFO, probably maybe eight, 10 years ago.
There was a UFO investigator that he'd been looking into things.
And he'd heard these stories about people who were being kidnapped or, what's the word?
Anyways, taken by these.
Abducted.
I think they called them abductions.
Obductees.
Yeah.
And so he started interviewing some of those.
those folks, one of the things that he discovered was that there was a family where the mother,
the whole family was getting abducted and was happening regularly. And then the mother,
God saved her. She gave him a Christian. And the next time that thing happened,
she realized what was going on. And she called out on Jesus to help her and her family.
And the whole thing just stopped.
You know, I read a story like that a number of years ago.
Yes.
And it does make you wonder, right?
You know, the power, you know, where's the real power once again?
Yeah, right.
So what happened with that, though, is a number of her family members, not all of them, at the hearing of that, had become Christians too.
But what he found out when he went to talk to others about it is they're like, oh, we're not interested in that.
And he said, well, why?
It needs to be looked at.
And they said, well, because there go our careers if it's spiritual.
Oh, how interesting.
Yes.
You know, there's a lot of that where, you know,
it's hard to get anybody involved into something
or to come up with a theory that would essentially put you out of business.
Yeah, right.
Have you ever wondered about that, like would the American Cancer Society really want?
cancer to be cured? Oh, absolutely. The American Heart Association, the same thing.
Yeah. It's all about the money.
Yeah. And what did God, it used to say, the love of money is the root of all evil?
Yeah. Now, it's not money. It's not, money's not the root, but the love of money.
The love of money. And I'm glad you put it that way. Thank you very much, Scott.
Yeah, you bet. Thank you. A lot of people mishear that.
Oh, yeah, money's the root of all. No, no, no, money's the tool.
I remember when I was a kid, there was a television Reverend back at the time.
What was his name? Reverend Ike. Does anybody remember Reverend Ike?
And I remember he would say stuff like that. It's like, it's not, it's not monies with Road of All Evil.
It's the love of money. Well, I want you to have money and prosperity and things like that.
I've tried to, it's been a long time. I was just a little kid.
But yeah, the love of money.
Good morning, KMED. It's Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
Who's this?
This is Rick and Medford.
Hi, Rick.
Bill, I'd just like to agree with your ability to manage all kinds of things at one time and keep a great show going.
You do a marvelous job.
Well, thank you.
I appreciate that.
I had an experience that ties in with the freedom of speech issues, and it also happened 50 years ago, so it kind of ties in with what's going on today.
I'd love to hear it.
I was living in Gunnison, Colorado, going to a small country.
when Carter and Ford were vying for the presidency.
I had a weird classmate who was a genius,
but he wore a Spock outfit all the time.
And he wrote on a whiteboard in the professor's office
that the only politics he endorsed
were the discrete use of explosives.
Anyway, I came home to our mobile home one day,
and it was surrounded by men in black suits.
There was about 12 of them.
It was the FBI and the Secret Service, and they wanted to talk to my roommate and me as well.
So there are limits to free speech and who it attracts, I guess, is where I'm going with this.
Sure.
And it was quite an interesting experience.
So you understand then the people getting all hot and bothered over 86-47 on that side of that building in Grants Pass?
Yes.
Okay.
Yes.
John, I appreciate you sharing that story.
Yeah, the discrete application, you say discrete application of explosives?
Is that what he said?
Yes, and he signed his name.
That's how they knew who did it.
So signing your name to something when you advocate discrete use is kind of inconsistent.
Yeah, did anything happen to him or did they just visit him and realize he was harmless?
They visited with both of us, and I told him that he was harmless.
He was just starved for attention.
And so I suppose there's a dossier on both of us, but they went on their merry way.
All right.
Thanks for sharing the story.
Great story on Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
7705-633-770 KMED.
Now then, I'll be getting to your calls.
I can't wait.
I always enjoy conspiracy theory Thursday open calls.
And gosh, you know, when you end up having the release of UFO files, I guess it all kind of just goes in there.
The number that I'm looking at, though, is price of gold, price of silver.
It's been up, it's been down.
It's been kind of finding this base at 4,700.
I don't know if it's going to go back up to 5,500 again.
The one thing I do figure out, at least in my opinion, this is just my opinion.
Ultimately, all fiat currencies go to their intrinsic value, which is nothing.
Someday.
Is it going to happen while we're life?
I don't know.
But that's why I like having a little bit of physical silver and gold within my possession
and in my world here, too, as the just-incolk.
case type thing. I'm not a speculator. I'm not sitting there trading it. But however you want to do it,
and that's fine. But where you want to go and get it? I think it's simple. Talk to the recognized
experts. Jay Austin and Company, gold and silver buyers in Ashland, 1632, Ashland Street in Ashland,
6 in G in downtown Grants Pass. I've had a good experience with them for years. And I'm
feeling you would too. Call 48, 2715. Sometimes, though, it gets pretty crazy. That's why they
do the thing by appointment to make sure that everything is
quiet and personalized and very private.
I think that's a part of it.
Find out more about them on fortune reserve.com.
That is fortune reserve.com.
The recognized experts, Jay Austin, go there today,
one of my oldest sponsors.
Welcome back to take a guess.
Okay, we're now entering the speed round.
Where's that crowd noise coming from?
First question, what makes an existing building pop even more
when getting a new metal roof from Fontana,
Roofing. Wait a minute. Is this a trick question? Five seconds.
New siding from Fontana roofing.
Yes. Next question. Most common phrase when Fontana installs new siding and a roof on an existing building.
It looks like a new building. Correct. Also, this building looks fantastic. Would have been acceptable.
Final question for the last donut in the break room. In addition to a 40-year warranty, along with 14 configurations, including the ever-popular wood grain board and batten style, how many siding color coatings are available
in total.
Um,
25?
Oh, sorry, that is incorrect.
We were looking for 26.
We do, however, have a nice piece of advice as a consolation prize.
Visit fontanarruping.com.
Correct.

That's 770 KMED.
On Conspiracy Theory Thursday, live without a net.
It is 829.
Let's just go to it.
Hi, good morning.
Who's this?
Welcome.
Hi, Terry.
Hi, Terry.
Tuned in a little late when you were talking to the guy that was running for governor.
Yeah, Ed Deal.
He's running for governor.
Yes.
What's the difference between Ed and Dudley?
Well, Ed is a pro-life guy.
He's also endorsed by Oregon Firearms Federation.
He's a state rep here from SIO.
And, you know, it seems to be a relatively conservative guys.
And he's an engineer by trade, mechanical engineer by trade,
has had a business.
Dudley, of course, very famous as a basketball player back in the day.
And I know less about Chris Dudley.
And I hope to find out a little bit more tomorrow.
He's going to come on the show tomorrow at 7.30.
hopefully, and we'll get a chance to talk with him about it.
But, you know, very different backgrounds there.
And also, he's super tall, super, super tall.
I'm going to have to have him sit down.
Otherwise, the camera will not be able to get him all in on Facebook Live.
How about that, Terry?
Well, I'll be listening tomorrow because I read that he just recently received a lot of money,
which would help campaign forward.
Yeah, Phil Knight, they ended up giving him a million bucks.
Yeah.
I don't know enough about any of these people except Raisin to make an informative decision.
And I'd like to have that information before I turn my ticket in.
All right.
Is the pro-life issue a big one for you, Terry?
No.
Okay.
All right.
Then that's fine because I know there are some people, some Republicans within the primary,
it's like that ends up being a big deal
so that's a boat of contention.
There was a time that Chris had said that he was pro-choice,
and now he's claiming his pro-life.
I don't know if maybe he's evolved or changed.
There's been some issues about that.
Ed, I believe, no, was it Christine Drazen?
Did Christine Drazen get the endorsement from right to life?
I think she did.
Maybe Ed did too, I don't know.
But, yeah, there's a lot about that.
The problem with the pro-life situation is that it tends to cause a problems for a statewide election, because this state loves abortion, I guess.
It's just huge, isn't it? It's crazy.
I think it's time they take that out of the equation and work on somebody that can get things done.
All right. Appreciate the call. Thank you, Terry.
770, KMED is the number here. Open up a line on two. Hi, who's this? Good morning.
Hello?
Hi, Bill.
Hi.
Yeah. Hi, Bill.
Oh, hi, Lucretia. How are you?
Oh, God. You can get me to talk about 100 subjects, but...
Yeah, but pick one if you could, all right?
I know. Gosh, it's tough.
Hunter virus. What's the answer meaning in Hebrew?
I have no idea. I do not speak Hebrew. So, enlighten me.
Scam. Nonsense. Lie. Fake.
on the dollar bill it's nova order
or dovea
norah the chloram
I'm pronouncing that right
order out of chaos
and it seems they always
create some chaos
in order to make the changes
to the Constitution
or a belief
or a bill of rights
you know so
I'm just looking at what they're going to do with this next
a whole pandemic
pandemic
pandemic so you think the next one is going to be
the
hanta
Hebrew for fake virus attack.
And I'd really like, because, you know, Bill, through you, we learned about the doctor that
here in Oregon was just doing a survey of children that have been vaccinated versus
non-vaccinated versus also didn't get the vaccine but took homeopathics.
And the healthiest children were the ones that took the homeopathics.
The average person that took the vaccine had two different.
autoimmune health problems by the time there were 50, whereas the unvaccinated didn't.
Yeah, to be clear about that, I think we're talking about the, are we talking about the pediatrician,
Dr. Paul, who was, he lost his license, though. The state yanked his license.
And then we also know that Dr. Cowan and Dr. Kaufman and others, Dr. Sri Lanka, who's a
neurologists realize the study, you know, the test for viruses with the, um, the, how do you
say it again? I'm always based on the word, D.
Yeah. Well, you know, I don't know if I want to go there.
You know, Grisha, I kind of got in your face yesterday about this. I'm, I'm not going down
the road that viruses don't exist. I can't do that.
It's postulate. You've got to separate it. They've never separated. They haven't found
I can look up books that show how they've separated lots of times.
I mean, who you're talking to that says there's no such thing as viruses.
And when they didn't even put anything in, but they sent it in saying,
would you test this for measles because he killed the, you know, cells?
It's the way they do it down to 1% nutrition.
And then the antibiotic they use on the monkey kidney cells that they use, not humans,
that's very effective, very deadly to the monkey cells.
kidney kidneys. I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about though and why you're bringing monkey
kidneys into this conversation. Because they use monkey kidneys to test the different
constituents where they didn't even isolate any virus. Even if you took 100 and even a thousand
people, you can't get enough from them. Yet you're supposed to be worried about germs.
Okay. Yeah, I'm going to, I don't know if I can hang with you on this one.
Lucretia, I appreciate your call.
And thanks for keeping it in only maybe three or four topics, okay?
Good job.
It's 836.
I grab another caller too.
Hi, good morning.
This is Bill.
Hello.
Good morning.
Am I on?
Yes, you are.
Hello, Holly.
Yeah, 20% of voters, registered voters have cast a vote.
We're one week out and only 20%.
I think that's just, you know, unbelievable.
And I know from your previous caller, people are saying that they're having a certain kind of analysis paralysis.
They just cannot figure out who they want to vote for.
So their ballot is sitting on their government.
Well, you know, I've been kind of holding back, too.
I must admit, I must admit, I have my favorites.
But, you know, I'm not in any hurry, you know, to get it in there into the drop box.
It's kind of where I've been coming from.
And I do this for a living, Holly.
And I'm kind of sitting there going, you know, I see some advantages.
We just got ours in yesterday.
So it'll give you an idea.
Even people who are politically engaged are going, what the heck this time around?
It's very difficult.
You know, my suggestion is, you know, get into your Republican Party office.
I know ours is open five days a week or get among your friends or your church and start talking about it.
Get the information you need and get your vote cast because this is an important election.
And we can't have voter apathy.
Let me ask you about this, Holly.
Of course, you're a former chair for the Josephine County Republicans, right?
The challenge that I think a lot of people are going through right now is that there'll be a candidate that is like the candidate of your heart, right?
They're saying the things that ring your bell.
And then I think we're really, really working hard to try to find someone, okay, it can't just be the candidate of my heart.
They have to be able to run a winning campaign.
Would you agree that's what a lot of the challenge, a lot of the paralysis that people are involved in right now, or why they're dealing with it?
I agree, and I have a lot of people that get mad at me about that, but I do agree.
You know, it's unfortunately, and I think this should probably be changed over time, but it takes a lot of money to win an election.
Yes.
We have some people in the race this year, and particularly the governor race, that seems to be very qualified people and great.
but they're polling it, you know, very low, and they just don't seem to have the energy to cross the line.
And I'm thinking, gosh, what do you do about that?
Do you get behind him and support them and see if you can push them over, or you maybe encourage them to continue in their political career?
And maybe, like in the case of Danielle, she's just great.
Danielle Bethel, I think, is going to be a future star.
I really do.
I do, too.
And I would love to see her get into the legislature because Lord knows we need help.
in the legislature. What a mess. What a mess. Oh, yeah. And, you know, we were to get in there with her
leadership abilities and what she knows, it would be a tremendous help. I just don't think,
unfortunately, that we're going to be able to get somebody like Danielle across the line this
particular time. Now, you look at the situation right now, so you have Ed Deal, Ed Deal,
and you have Chris Dudley, and then you have Christine Drazen. And Christine Drazen, I don't think we'll
have any trouble raising money.
no doubt about that.
Christine has a voting record.
Of course, I've talked a little bit about that, and I spoke with Warner Rescue about that.
And he explained away some of that.
And I thought he actually had some good things to say, and it gave me, you know, a better
or more context to some of those votes, like the tampon.
Tampons in the boys' room vote that everybody got.
Well, every single Republican in the House voted for that back then.
Every one of them, you know.
And it was only the Senate that voted no again.
against it because it ended up, oh, you mean, you mean all bathrooms?
Yeah, we mean all bathrooms.
Oh, wait a minute.
Now, but, yeah.
It felt like the guy, bless his heart, seemed to kind of be a spin doctor for the campaign,
you know, for her campaign.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, sure.
Problems that existed and, you know, that, you know, you got to take that with a grain of salt.
And then you have the Chris Dudley's.
Chris Dudley, of course, has a pretty darn good name recognition,
came closer than any other Republican at dislodging the Democrats from the governor's office.
And so that has an appeal in and of itself.
Of course, what's different now than what happened back then?
And then you have Ed Deal who now he's claiming that there was polling.
He claimed there's polling this morning that has he and Drazen neck and neck.
Well, polling.
I mean, polling makes me itch.
I know.
I mean, it's pretty crazy.
But, you know, in the case of Dudley, I mean, I think that he may pull a lot.
lot of Democrat votes because I think a lot of Democrats are sick and tired of what's going on in
this state. And that is the challenge, I think, for Republican voters, because Dudley does
probably have the biggest crossover potential. I don't like saying that, but that's probably
true. That's why they brought him in because, you know, it seems to be that pro-life issues are a huge
issue for true conservatives. You know, they believe in the sanctity of life. Yes. And in his case,
he says that he personally believes in that.
but as a candidate, he's going along with what he thinks that his constituents want,
which is some flexibility in that issue.
So that's the difference between himself and Ed,
because Ed doesn't have any, you know, he doesn't see that gray.
You know, he's kind of a black and white issue on that particular thing.
So people need to look at that, but I think Dudley may pull some Democrats,
a lot of Democrats who just are sick and tired of Tina Coates.
which is easy.
Yeah.
Now, would Ed Deal or Christine Drazen do that?
I don't know.
They think they will, of course.
I just don't know.
Well, Southern Oregon is not Christine Grayson's territory.
I can tell you now, you know, we are all very weary of, you know, of the losing.
I hear some good things about her lately, but frankly, I've been discussed by her voting record.
And, you know, this so spin thing that's out at the last minute, those kinds of things never.
sit well with me, but she's, you know, we'll see, we'll see. She sure has the money. And unfortunately,
I just hate it so much. Unfortunately, the money does talk in campaigns, because that's, that's
where all the mailouts come, you know, getting radio and all that. Buying the ads and the digital,
it's like, money's not everything, but it ain't nothing. And that's what we have to. Well, because
people are so uninformed, Bill, and they're, you know, right now, just that previous caller just spelled it out.
We are hungry for information, and people are so gullible because they're not rolling down on their own.
Yeah, yeah, because most of us aren't, most of us aren't political animals here.
We're a little more political of an animal here.
Hey, Holly, I appreciate to take.
Hey, thank you very much.
It's a good conspiracy theory Thursday call this time on the election, all right?
All right, one more call.
Then we're going to shut the calls down here for a little bit.
Hi, KMEDA. Good morning.
Who's this?
Thank you.
Is there to be Gregory out here in City of Co.
Hello, Greg.
We don't have bus service out here, of course.
course, but that ballot, if that doesn't pass, what will the outcome be? And my second question is,
what year was Planet of the Apes from? I'll take my answer off. Oh, no, no, just stay on, Gregory.
Okay, what will happen if the RBT supplemental levy? Well, that will certainly mean that
some reduction in service. They'll have to tighten their belt. They still have money. It doesn't
and close the district. There's still basic district funding that comes in through that.
And as far as Planet of the A, what was that? If you can hang on just a minute, I will tell you
when the original came out. All right? I'm just going to consult Dr. Google, all right?
I could do. I could too, though, yeah. Okay. And then, yes, yes, yes. Okay, original one
1968. All right. Thanks again. Thanks again, Bill. All right. Thank you.
Maybe we should have riverboat gambling.
We're both gambling.
Let's get that on the ballot.
Thank you much.
All right.
I couldn't mind that, actually.
All right.
Catching up for a little bit of news.
Then Sandy Ficka, standing by.
We're going to talk with Sandy.
He's my second superstar of the 70s that we're going to bring in here.
Next.

He did say that.
Yeah, he did say that.

And China will buy American oil and gas, soybeans, Boeing jets, and Navidia chips.

It's a strange way to introduce Sandy Ficka, the drummer of a firefall.
How you doing this morning, Sandy?
I'm kind of strange.
Yeah, yeah, you are.
Well, it's the strange glasses that you're wearing here that you just got recently.
You know, those glasses look like they have like science fiction, like it's from steampunk or something.
That's what I, well, that's what they were advertised as.
Were they?
Sting punk, yeah.
Steam punk, yeah, makes a lot of sense.
Makes a lot of sense.
But, of course, you are the second superstar of the 70s that I ended up speaking with.
I had John Fort Colley on earlier this morning.
Oh, wow.
John's a friend.
He's a friend of yours?
Yeah.
Really?
Oh, cool.
We play with him quite a few times.
Okay.
Yeah.
And they have the 50th anniversary of the John Fort Coley.
What is it?
I'd really love to see you tonight.
Right.
And, of course, England, Dan's been dead for a number of years.
And anyway, it's great talking with him, even though I talked over him a little bit.
But we'll set that aside.
Hey, I wanted to talk about your project, though, and it's the Use Your Gift Foundation.
And a week from today, you have an amazing concert here in town.
And it's a fundraiser for the Use Your Gift Foundation.
First of all, let's talk the concert.
Who are you bringing in and who's going to be here and where?
bringing in some more friends of mine and Firefall.
We're going to have Pure Prairie League, who's one of the forefathers of country rock.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And they do a bunch of songs that are more country than rock, and then they do a lot that are rock more than country.
Who is that singing lead for them now?
Well, that's everybody sings.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
At one point they had Vince Gill, but he's moved on.
to a slightly bigger band in the Eagles.
Yeah, the Eagles ask you to come sing and play.
Yeah, you're going to say, okay, fine.
Yeah, you're not going to just want to sing Amy all your life, or let me love you
tonight.
But Jared, Kamik, Jeff Zona, those are the two main singers.
All right.
Now, this is a, and where's it going to be?
I'm sorry.
Oh, the Criterion?
Craterion, thank you.
Next Thursday night at 7.30.
And what do the tickets cost?
And where do you get them?
You can go to use your gift.org and click on purchase tickets or just go to the Craterion.org.
And you can buy them right off the crate.
Are all the tickets the same price or are there different tiers?
There's three different levels.
Okay.
There's $30 tickets.
There's $40 tickets.
and then for the VIP experience with a meet and greet with the band and catered and that those are $100.
All right.
And I think there's six of those left.
Okay.
And this is for Pure Prairie League a week from today.
And as great as it's going to be to have Pure Prairie League in town and playing their hits and getting that all out and people are going to love the music.
The reason for it is what I wanted to make sure people knew more about.
And this is the Use Your Gift Foundation.
Yeah.
What we do is I have a recording studio, and I bring in young artists that are just starting
just to help them make that first step.
And we record a whole project, and I require that it be original music.
If they want to do a cover or two, that's fine, but I'm not doing karaoke.
You help people then get their record contracts or getting their foot in the door then, really.
Getting the foot in the door.
Getting a record.
If I could get everybody a record contract, I'd be a very rich man.
Okay.
But it's a crazy business.
And so when I'm working with these kids, I usually end up working with each artist about six months.
And I try to impart a bunch of knowledge of what they're getting into without
first thing in their bubble.
What do you think is happening in the music world?
And when I ask that question, I preface this.
You ever watch Rick Beato online?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I think Rick Beato, he put out something the other day
that I thought was very thought-provoking
that there's a reason why we're only seeing rich kids
getting into music right now.
And I don't know if you saw that video or not.
I didn't see that one.
Yeah, he was talking about how so many of this so-called super
are really like rich kids, and they were already wealthy when they started.
Because what has been going on, the crappification of the online world,
is making it next to impossible for anybody to be a working musician and actually earn a living.
And it ends up being a hobby.
And, you know, you can have a million streams on Spotify and it's pennies that are sent to you.
Everybody has this, you know, it's like, I think of the music that you were with with Firefall,
and all the other great acts of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and even, you know, there,
and how people could still earn a living.
And now they're not.
It's a very, very different, difficult world now.
Yeah.
And I don't think anybody really knows what's going on.
It's just crazy.
And what I'm asking, though, is that if people who are trying to get into music, are they still having the thinking that, you know,
I'm going to be the next Led Zeppelin?
and I'm going to have my multi-million dollar Atlantic,
Atlantic, you know, record deal or something like that, or what?
You know, when I got into music,
and most people that I know that are musicians,
they get into it because they love it.
And it does something for your soul.
And I know in the beginning,
you have dreams of doing that stuff,
but it doesn't really matter.
And getting together and playing with however many other people that you have in a band,
it's a very rewarding situation.
And maybe what we have to start doing when it comes to people who want to be musicians,
is to look at ways that you are able to monetize and earn living through something
other than just the contracts or the selling of recordings, things like that.
touring and and various other things.
You know, in fact, that seems to be why the concerts are such an important part of a
budding musician these days.
Yeah, that's where you make your money.
Yeah.
And only the songwriters make money on the, you know, big time.
Yeah.
And the publishers.
Indeed.
Well, and you help them navigate this and use your gift, right?
I do what I can.
All right.
And like I said, I do, I don't want to burst their bubble.
but you have to give them
well you have to tell them the truth though
you have to tell them the truth chances are you're going to have to have a side gig here for a while
right no doubt exactly all right and that's what you do you raise money
through concerts like this use your gift to have a story this concert next Thursday
over the Craterion with a Pure Prairie League use the money for that and that's what you do
yeah okay and we also have the fret drifters are opening
great band by the way yeah very very good
I've had them three or four times.
And in fact, they opened for Firefall once in our league guitar player,
Jack Bartley, who's a great guitar player.
He was filming Nick Garrett Powell the whole time
because he couldn't believe Nick could play on an acoustic guitar
what he was doing.
And also have a 14-year-old girl, Braylon Landis,
is going to open also.
All right.
She's a new one for the program.
So this is going to be a great party, great classic act, and then some new, some local acts there opening there, too.
And it's all for a good cause.
And it is Use Your Gift Foundation. Use Your Gift.orgie?
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah, because I'm going to turn into a pumpkin here in the next few seconds.
But you see, you're doing good work there trying to help the kids, help young people, break that in.
And from someone who understands the ropes and, you know, the ups and the ups and the downs.
Who's been beaten by the ropes and sometimes tied up in them?
And people took pictures of him and laughed.
No, I'm just kidding.
But Sandy, a pleasure, all right?
Always good seeing you.
It's always good to see you.
Thanks for having me.
Sandy Ficca, the Use Your Gift Foundation,
useyourgift.org.
Concert once again next Thursday.
Poor precision and performance.
