And we have Dr. Carol Lieberman, two doctors in a row I have here on Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
We're going to talk a bit about the terror attack in Boulder and she is a terrorist therapist
and also an expert witness for the defense, you know, that kind of thing.
And so we'll have a little conversation about that.
Also, what's going on with that ditty trial that I don't really know a whole lot about.
And so, well, she'll tell me what I'm supposed to know.
Tell you more about that.
Hey, Mark writes me here, the email bill at BillMeyersShow.com says,
Bill, everyone seems to forget about the drone conspiracy.
We were talking about the Ukraine deal a little while ago on the show here this morning.
And what Mark says is, Bill, everyone seems to forget the test runs of drones that mysteriously
swarmed the United States a little earlier this past year.
On another note, I was visually watching this plane yesterday and it just seemed odd that
with its occasional weaving, so I went to FlightWatch and saw this on the live screen. I'll have to take a look at this. You're not talking about chemtrails
are you Mark? I don't know. We'll see. See then you're gonna you're gonna get the the
phones lit on fire again. I'll get back to you on that one Mark but I appreciate
the email bill at Bill Myers Show.com and by the way the emails of the day

The threat of wildfire poses a growing risk to Oregonians.
And recent wildfires have provided some important lessons.
You can prepare now by taking three important steps.
Step one, contact your insurance company
to make sure you have the right amounts
and types of coverage.
Step two, create a home inventory by taking photos
or videos of your possessions in each room of your home.
Step three, gather and make copies
of important identifying and financial documents.
Store them in the cloud or another secure location.
These three actions can help you and your community be more resilient in the face of
wildfire.
Be wildfire ready by being insurance ready.

Here's Bill Meyer.
Dr. Carol Lieberman, MD, MPH.
We know her as America's psychiatrist and she's host of Dr. Carol's Couch on VoiceAmerica.com,
the Terrorist Therapist podcast.
And by the way, you even have a little registered trademark on that one, Terrorist Therapist.
That's you.
Hey, doctor, welcome back.
Absolutely.
Thank you.
Good to have you back here.
And by the way, Dr. Carol is a forensic psychiatrist, expert witness, best-selling award, winning
author of four books, two on terrorism, two on relationships.
And sometimes those relationships can be terroristic, but I digress.
That's true. Good to have you on relationships. And sometimes those relationships could be terroristic, but I digress. It's good to have you on here. Hey, Doc, what is your thought about the amazing
these terror attacks we've had over the last week? We had, of course, the shootings, the
two shootings outside of the Jewish Museum, just very tragic, and people admitting it
and going right into it. And then we had
Mr. Flamie Flamethrower alleged and of course his family, they tried to
deport the family now, the judge says the family can't go either. It's like, wow, we
sure do have a lot of pathological altruism in our system right now. But
what are you thinking? What's on your mind here with the terrorism first?
That's a good way to put it, pathological altruism. That's going to be the death of America. You know, we are so, you can add
ignorance in there too. Although there are a number of people who are experts
on terrorism and who have been trying to tell America that we're in danger, but
people are in denial. What's going on? What's going on is, first of all, October 7th allowed the world to express
its underlying anti-Semitism. I mean, you know, they couch it in anti-Zionism, blaming Israel,
etc., claiming it's genocide, etc. But really, it's anti-Semitism. And it's very frightening
how much it is growing in our country and how nothing is being
done. Now, I will take that back to some degree. I mean, Trump is trying to fix it, but all these
judges, you know, who don't have a clue are stopping him at every turn, you know, giving him...
I mean, there are so many judges who were appointed by Biden or who are progressive judges, and they, you know, they want to
keep these terrorists in our country.
I have a slight difference of opinion with you on this, and not on the
terrorism aspects of it, though. What has been concerning to me is, I don't like how disagreeing with Israel as a country
is getting conflated with being anti-Jew.
And I kind of take my cue from Thomas Massey that talks about the big Jewish lobbies that
have great control over our Congress.
And I kind of like our Congress working for us and not really paying attention to what
foreign nations want us to do or think we should be doing here.
And where am I right or wrong on that?
Well, I'm not sure where we disagree.
What was your...
What in particular were you disagreeing with?
Well, you know, we're at this point now where to disagree with anything that Israel is doing
right now. And I'm thinking about it because I've read alternative accounts of what's going on in
Gaza, too. And yet, what happened to Israel on October 7th? Horrible. And no one's going to say
anything about this. But is what's happening in reverse? And they're saying it's not necessarily
proportional. It's what you'll hear. And that kind of gets squashed. And to bring that up, then you're
an anti-Semite and then you're bounced out of Columbia, you know, that kind of thing.
You're not saying that, I hope you're not saying, that these things are true about
genocide, that Israel is committing genocide and all of that.
I mean, the Hamas has the best publicists, apparently, in the world. They're getting
out these stories that aren't true, and the mainstream media is just believing it.
Okay, so Gaza is not essentially just a rubble-smoking pit at this point?
So Gaza is not essentially just a rubble smoking pit at this point? It is a rubble smoking pit.
But that's thanks to Hamas and other terrorists and Iran who guarded the war in the first place.
I mean, Israel has to protect...
This has been going on for many decades, well, really for longer than that.
And Netanyahu, I watched him do a press conference several months ago where he talked about how
his predecessors have always gone along with trading land for peace.
Israel has been so desperate for peace, they've given this piece of land here and this piece of land there, believing that these terrorists are going to really have peace now.
And of course, it never worked.
And so his stance is we have to make sure that this isn't going to happen again.
And in order to do that, we have to get rid of Hamas.
And Hamas, they hold people, babies, they bury their, they hide underneath
hospitals and so on, hoping that then when Israel attacks, let's say,
these hospitals to get to the leaders of Hamas or to get to the weapons of Hamas,
then they can say, oh look, look at what Israel is doing, they're horrible.
Israel is just trying to protect itself.
Do you think Israel can only be protected
by the removal of the Gaza population?
What do you think should be going on?
I know Trump has talked about moving these people along
and turning it into almost like a Riviera
kind of development.
I love that idea.
You do?
Yes.
I think that would be, I mean,
I think it would be an avenue for peace
because Trump is saying we'll come in, we'll build it up.
It needs a lot of work to be built back up and we'll build it up better than it was.
And this will be, you know, it will be the United States in that spot, not Israel and
not terrorists.
And so it would be more of a barrier, you know, a peaceful barrier in between.
Okay, so what do you think ends up driving like the latest flamy flamethrower fellow Sunday when
he ended up setting a lot of people on fire over in Boulder? Now I have to say allegedly he has
been tried yet, but I mean this video they pretty much got him dead to rights there,
because he's talking about down with the Zionists.
He was yelling it. Right.
There's video of him.
Yes.
I don't think there's a question who it was.
I mean, it was awful.
Apparently he was planning this.
This is, you know, just shows you the degree of hate.
He was planning this for a year and he only waited because he was waiting for his daughter to be graduated from high school.
And he held this group that was doing the walk
to remind people to keep the hostages in mind,
to remind people we want to bring the hostages home,
that kind of thing.
I mean, they weren't like a rowdy group of protestors.
Yeah, yeah, it's a perfectly reasonable thing. Hey, we'd like the hostages to come back. Who
wouldn't, right? You know, I get that. I certainly understand that.
So, but he had this plan and he used homemade Molotov cocktails and similar kinds of weapons.
And fortunately, nobody died died but a lot of
them were injured. Well yeah hey listen big severe burns though are nothing to
sniff at you know that yeah it could be really serious and I guess my my point
being here is that ultimately at the core of this of this crime right now was
that he didn't belong here and nor did his family. And yet he was
given permission by the last administration to stay here kind of and
even then he overstayed, did he not? For what I understand this is an immigration
problem as much as it is a terroristic problem. Yes, yes. Well of course that's
why Trump is now, you know, he announced 12 countries that he's not going to let people in from.
I mean, that is kind of a big step, but he's trying to make changes quickly because, I mean, that's the thing. There are so many people who have managed to come to the United States,
who are either on expired visas or who just snuck in to begin with.
And so it's a big, big job.
Is it impossible or very difficult to track people who just overstay?
I don't know how that process works. I don't know if you know. Apparently, apparently, especially if,
you know, I mean, there are so many ways to unless you do something
to draw attention to yourself, like if he
applied for a job or I don't know, there would be ways, some ways that could be found out.
But people are, this has really just gotten to be something that's ignored in a lot of
different ways.
But one of the interesting things and sad things was that his daughter was wanting to
be a doctor and she really did well in high school, and she did a lot of, not just good grades, but
she did a lot of things, activities and so on for the school.
And she was hoping, and she was glad that they had come to America because she wanted
to go to medical school.
And now, of course, the family gets sent back.
That's kind of...
Yeah, she's probably going to get sent back to Egypt then, right?
That's the plan. And even if she were to then reapply
to come to America, given the familial connection,
it probably wouldn't go so well for her. Right. Well, right now they're kind of,
except for him, well even he, they're in kind of a waiting sort of time, you know, they
haven't, it hasn't been decided a hundred percent which was the family, the whole
family was going to be deported. I mean he's obviously going to stand trial. And
you know it's not like even though we would want him to, I would want him to
get the death penalty, on the other hand, I mean part of me would want him to get the death penalty. On the other hand, I mean part of
me would want him to get the death penalty. On the other hand, that would
make him a martyr. So no, we can't really give him the death penalty, but life in
prison sounds good. Yeah. Dr. Carol Lieberman, MD, the terrorist therapist with
me this morning. I wanted to shift to a different high-level psychiatric story
of Sorton. It has to do with Pete Itty.
I wanted to get your take on some of his background. You have this high-level celebrity
trial and it appears to be like another Epstein kind of situation with a lot of what they term
freak out. I never paid attention to him. I'm not a big rapper fan, things like that. It says,
okay, we have another rapper behaving badly. It was kind of like what I was thinking. I'm not a big rapper fan, things like that. It says, okay, we have another rapper behaving badly. You know, it was kind of like what
I was thinking. And I'm wondering, am I right about that? Is there a deeper side
to this? Because I haven't paid as much attention as maybe I should. What do you
think? Well, I know. I was kind of hoping this would just go away. You were, huh? I really didn't want to spend all this time studying him, but everybody wants to know
about it.
And so, so I have, you know, I have been, of course there are no cameras in the courtroom.
So it's only from reports, you know, from journalists who are there inside the court.
But what I found to be most interesting is that it's all his mother's fault.
It's always, it's always the parents.
Oh no, he didn't have mommy
issues, did he? Yes, he did. He did? Okay. His father died, was killed actually, because of his
drug issues, the father's drug connection to drugs. And so it was he, Diddy, and his mother,
and his grandmother for the rest of his life,
for three years old on.
And his mother apparently liked having these big parties, which were essentially the precursors
to Diddy's freak out.
Really?
Was it kind of like a strange sexual identity thing that you're thinking went on there?
Well, not necessarily sexual identity, but she had parties with pimps and prostitutes
and drugs and alcohol and nudity and all kinds of sexual behaviors right in front of Peabody
as a little boy for years, for his whole childhood.
Yikes! Andikes. Yikes is
right. This desensitized him to some degree to sex. Also, imagine you're seeing your mother
having sex with all these different people. It's not a very healthy childhood.
It's not a very healthy childhood. So, so he, you know, so then when he grew up and he got to be famous and rich and all
that, he was able to do those parties at a much grander scale.
And that's basically what he's doing.
He's repeating his childhood, but grander.
Do you think he could actually get away with it though?
I hope not.
I worry about that.
You know, I worry about it on two counts.
First of all, and this is probably, I hope it's less likely than the second thing I'm
going to tell you.
You know, one thing is because he has all the money in the world, he could well, and
has all these connections and so on, he could
well make a connection, I mean one of his minions could make a connection to one of
the jurors and pay them off. That's one thing, of course. And then the other thing is that
there could be at least one juror who thinks to themselves, well, you know, okay, this
is not great but I
don't want the government stepping in and telling me what kind of sex I can
have. These were consenting adults, now of course they really weren't consenting.
Well you know that's the thing they're gonna argue about were they consenting.
Like Cassie Ventura for example. I mean she you know she wasn't imprisoned in
his house. She couldn't, she didn't have to keep coming back, but she had fallen in
love with him. And so she did. So she did keep coming back. I mean, he was the perfect example
of an abusive man. And women, there are women who stay with abusive men for a number of reasons.
Well, you wrote a book about it, The Bad Boys, right?
Yes, I did.
Bad boys.
Why we live them?
I haven't lived with them.
I went to leave them.
And the abusive type is called the prince, I call the abusive type the prince of darkness.
It's the OJ type.
And so, you know, it's just you keep thinking that the man apologizes.
So you keep thinking he's going to change.
You're going to change him.
And also for her, she was hoping she needed him or wanted him to help her with her career
and all that.
And I think she was like blindly in love with him.
And plus he was using, I mean that's part of the case, he was using threats and
all kinds of things to keep her there in addition to her own falling in love with him.
He used bribery, he used threats. I'm just glad that she has a man who treats her well now.
I know singer Justin Bieber, of course, had his own contacts with the freakouts, as they
call them, and it sounded pretty sordid.
Was there any kind of Jeffrey Epstein sort of thing going on there where you think there
may have been some, you know, we're going to have leverage on you?
Or was this just Diddy being Diddy once again?
No, no. he did do that.
I mean with Cassie for example, he kept threatening that if she didn't come
back and participate in these freak-offs that he would show, you know, he took video
just like Jeffrey Epstein's. He took video of all these people. And so he did have that as leverage to threaten them. And of
course she didn't want these disgusting pictures, videos to be shown. In fact, there was a time
when he told her parents, he wanted her parents to pay him $20,000 because of something that she did, and otherwise he
was going to put these pictures and videos online.
Do you think that Ditty's childhood that you talked about, unfortunately sorted details
and what it sounded like, not a really good childhood, do you think that that is sympathetic
enough that he could get him off on all of this or could there
be a split verdict on something like this and that he gets nailed on some
things and not on others? What do you think? Well, you know, so far that his
childhood hasn't come up. Oh. But some people have, yeah, his mother is in the
courtroom and when she first started coming to the court, she was wearing these
low cut dresses. It was like she looked like a prostitute and
yeah mom. Please don't come to the trial really. I love you
mom don't come to the trial. All right that sort of thing.
Well, I don't know. I think he was proud of her. I mean I I
don't know that he minded her coming and looking like that.
He was used to it for one thing.
But then more recently, she hasn't, at least in the pictures that I've seen, she's been a little less flashy, a little less undressed.
But boy, you know, there's more of this that goes on than you think. I remember, what is it, Elizabeth Hurley's?
Did you ever check out Elizabeth Hurley's son and how he seems to be involved in photographing mom and
involved in all those things I kind of had that same vibe you know that you
were just talking about it's just like no sons should not be doing this with
their mother okay okay all right well I appreciate you giving us a take on what
I have not paid much attention to,
so I feel like I know a little bit more now before than I did, and now I want to go take a shower,
if you don't mind, okay? Yes, exactly. All right. By the way, you can read up more on this,

breaking news that I just got in here just a few minutes ago this one came
from the Daily Signal part of the Heritage Foundation. Supreme Court
unanimously struck down Mexico's challenge to US gun manufacturers. Remember that case? And they ended up ruling that they cannot
be blamed for crime and cartel violence south of the border. Justice Elena Kagan
delivered the unanimous opinion of the court. Kagan wrote that because Mexico

Bruno the Fontana roofing shop dog and mascot is particularly fired up at the end of a long day.
Let's find out what all the commotion is about. And there's Bruno always excited to see us.
Looks like he has something on his mind. He never disappoints.
Looks like he has something on his mind. He never disappoints.
Yes, you are a contractor's best friend. No arguments there.
No, I believe that's plural. He's saying we are a contractor's best friend.
Aha! Valid points, Bruno. Since Fontana now has a full metal shop providing flashing, siding, skirting, gutters, practically any custom metal detail contractors need in a variety of colored coatings.
He's right.
I suppose it does make us a contractor's best friend.
Wait, what?
Did he just call you a jerk?
No, he can smell the jerky in my pocket.
There you go, buddy.

Hi, I'm Jim with the Beauty Marks Salon and Glitter Bar and I'm on KMED.
20 before 8.
Do we have a problem in a local FFA?
Maybe even a local school district that is worthy of fleshing out.
Well, I got a call the other day from Sonia Warren.
And had a talk with her and I thought,
oh great, we'll flesh out a little bit of what's going on here and maybe this spurs some investigation or maybe
some changes if it's needed. I don't know. But Sonia Warren, Sonia Warren joins me. Sonia, welcome to the show. Good to have you on. Good morning.
Thank you for having me. I appreciate it. Now, are you a big FFA person?
Morning. Thank you for having me.
I appreciate it.
Now, are you a big FFA person?
Tell us about what you've been doing and maybe a little bit about your son.
You're in the Phoenix Public School District, right?
So I am a big FFA person.
I grew up participating in FFA and then was really excited when my son, who is 16, also
decided that this was the path that he was going to embrace.
Are you a farmer?
I'm just kind of curious.
Do you do farm as a day job or not?
Nope.
Okay.
No, this is, I mean, we, I grew up farming and just kind of carried over.
But as I from being a mom, I'm actually a paid staff member for the Phoenix College School District as the, I'm using
air quotes, as the FFA support slash coach. Oh, okay. So my experience is
nothing but hands-on and I am at a loss right now. Okay, now are you still with
the Phoenix School District right now? I am. Okay, all right. So you're still there. All right. So you want to talk about something. So what
does the, what is it called again, that coach type thing? What is that now?
It's the FFA support, you know, slash coach position. Okay. It's paid as kind of a
contract and then my job is to assist the district and the ag advisor with
the program with animals you know whatever comes up different competitions, trips and
things like that.
And your son was also involved in the program from what I understand?
Yes.
Okay.
All right.
He was actually served as an officer as well.
So where did the problem start or what has happened?
You know if I were a psychiatrist I could put you on the couch. What happened? Tell me about your problem, huh?
So this has actually been a problem for over two years. Claims and concerns have been brought
forward to our school district, school admin, that the advisor is behaving unprofessionally in a matter that is
unbecoming, unethical, and just deceitful that I feel like at this point in time
we are no longer being respected for our opinions and being brushed under the rug.
Okay. So let's be a little more specific about what kind of behavior from the FFA head there
is causing you trouble.
And is it something which is considered unprofessional or something which is illegal?
I guess we kind of have to make a differentiation.
Your opinion here?
I've got both. The most recent example that I have is
for the spring fair that just happened at the Expo when animals were due at the
Expo, vet check was at 2 o'clock. By 9 45 animals were loaded up into a metal horse trailer, taken and parked at the Expo
to wait.
Upon being discovered, one of the Lamb Superintendents stated, you know, it's getting hot, it's
getting warmer, it would be best to take these animals back to your farm, because we have
a school farm, take them back and bring them back later so
they're not under duress, they're not being overheated. Okay, so that was the suggestion,
take the sheep, take them back to the school farm, they get cooled down, less stress, and then come
back later, right? That was the whole thing? Right. Okay. All right. So what happened?
And risking, leaving animals in a hot trailer that you might not pass your
vet check because now you have a temperature.
And not passing a vet check means that you're not going to sell your animal, which after
you spent thousands of dollars in time and effort that not going to market is, that's
a huge setback for both emotionally and financially.
Once the statement was made to take them home, the
advisor drove them to another location on the property and parked elsewhere and
did not take the animals home. Oh, okay, so didn't take them home for stress
reduction, just kept them there on the property. All right. Yep. Now according to
you, this is how this happened. Now why why would you say it's done that way? Was there an explanation done from the ag advisor?
There's never any feedback for any behavior that happens.
That's one of my points is that I have brought this forward to admin on so many different
levels and it's all being brushed into the rug.
I will add that one of the parents to protect her
investment brought down her car with a tarp and put the animal in the back of her car with the
air conditioner on because she wasn't about to risk not going to market for her kids.
Yeah, it was a pretty warm day, what I recall. Yeah.
Over the weekend. All right.
When I had checked the weather, it was already 75 at 11 and then obviously getting warmer.
So just a quick calculation for one of the, you know, par heat calculators so that it
could have been up to 126 degrees.
Okay, yeah, that's pretty hot.
So you're concerned then about what ignoring of animal safety or, you know, animal husbandry
kind of safety rules and what it is.
I'm not an FFA person.
So you're...
Yeah.
Animal safety for sure, but also causes for concern from parents that this is not appropriate
causing...
I'm a staff member and I reached out to admin and I was told that it was being handled.
And I said, well, how is it being handled then following day that I was told oh you know we were monitoring
we were in constant communication we were monitoring with the act teacher
with a video of the temperature and condition of the animals and you can't
tell temperature from a video and so all right my point being though here by
the way Sonya Warren here with me talking about what she
sees as some problems in the FFA program over in the Phoenix School District here.
The thing is, when they tell you at the Expo, take the animals back, are you supposed to
or required to take them back or is that at the ag advisor and maybe you as a
support coach's discretion? I mean it's a free world. I'm sure that you could obviously do
whatever you want. As an ag teacher and someone who should be caring about animals and about the
someone who should be caring about animals and about the concerns from both students and parents not doing the right thing, that's, and I guess not caring about the potential
outcomes that could have happened.
I'm glad that nothing did.
I will say that first and foremost.
So not to put words in your mouth, but it sounds like you're kind of concerned about
a lack of abundance of caution or lack of caution
when it comes to the animal tree. Is that kind of the way to look at it in your opinion?
For sure.
All right. All right. Okay. So Sonia, are there any other issues that have cropped up there with the Ag Advisor there?
In your opinion.
I mean, Bill, I have a laundry list. I have
where there are students being appointed into officer positions and somewhat in, but
not somewhat, there is unethical placement because students that didn't have an Ag
class the year prior are being without FFA experience are being
placed in the positions and you should you know there are requirements involved
and just because you are the Ag teachers relative that live in her home that
doesn't that's not a free pass and that I brought that as a concern. So you're
believe so you're then alleging favoritism of some sort of undue
favoritism. Nepotism, favoritism, yeah.
Okay, all right.
What has the response been?
Who ultimately then controls the FFA and the AgAdvisor
and what goes on with the FFA program in the school district?
Is this a superintendent issue? Is it a school board issue?
I'm sorry to ask these questions, I don't know.
And I think if I don't know, maybe other people don't know either.
No, happy to clarify.
I mean, it definitely is at the school level
that is, you know, first and foremost,
you should address the activities director
and the principal.
And then because I wasn't getting satisfactory responses,
I reached out to the superintendent.
There has been a lot of pushback and run around, oh, we need to have
group meetings and we need to have Google forms filled out with problems and solutions.
And like I said, this has been going on for two years, that three people in positions,
paid positions that have seen this firsthand, have been reporting these.
So it's not just you reporting it?
It's not just you?
It's not just me.
No former staff members as well.
Huh.
All right.
So, yeah, that's my big concern.
This isn't new.
This isn't like I'm just being petty or that my feelings are hurt.
This is founded.
I have proof.
I have screenshots.
I have videos that animal
welfare is being disregarded. I have statements from kids about things that have been said to
them that are highly inappropriate. Now, your son though got sideways with this advisor,
didn't he? I'm glad that you brought that up. Yep. I remember you told me that. So I just wanted to say, I just wanted to find out, is this, you know, you want to get
back at the Ag Advisor because your son ended up...
No, I mean, I would love for some corrective action and accountability to be had.
But as a mom, I am going to brag a little bit.
My kid is a good kid.
He is honorable.
He is honorable.
He is working on his Eagle project for Boy Scouts.
He is the vice president of the chapter.
He works full time in the summer.
And so it's not like he's a problem kid.
And so he took it upon himself with a group of students
to address the advisor about rumors
that he was not dedicated enough to be this year's president in the
elections. And that was really hurtful because he has missed boarding events. He has missed
family functions to go to events. So when he went to address the teacher, and of course,
she begins the gaslighting and the lying, that he lost it. He's like,
you know what? Through this, I'm done. I'm out.
It's actually cussed at the advisor, right?
Yeah. He lost his cool. I'm like, you know, I don't condone it, but I also don't condemn it,
because once somebody is out there with them, they're out there with them. My problem is that the excessive disciplinary action
that was taken by giving him two days suspension
was not par for the course for someone
based on their guidelines and policy at the school
for a first time offense.
What are you thinking?
They're just trying to shut him up?
Is that what this is about, just shut him up?
I absolutely think that it was retaliation because I have started to become a whistleblower. And so because like I said, he is
a good kid. I am bragging a little bit, but I'm also founded and what I believe because he has
done everything that is required and responsible. He raises animals and he shows up and being
punished, which yes, in part of the school district, I'm not going
to begrudge them for following protocol in the sense that if you swear to teacher, you
are reprimanded.
Yeah.
Fine.
But not as a first time offense, not as a good kid.
And so my, this use of excessive disciplinary action is far stretch.
Between you doing a whistle, I guess the, you're kind of trying to connect between you raising
issues about what's going on in the FFA program and lack of professionalism in your opinion,
you know, all this kind of stuff.
And then son loses his cool, gets reprimanded harshly.
And what is this the what do you think this is the the system kind of circling
the wagons though over at the Phoenix School District or or something else I
think so I mean because other children have stated well I've four out or two
and I didn't get written up and I didn't get suspended and so you know it was you
know and these are other FSA members and students and officers. And so I'm not sure why my son was the, you know, the state's go this time.
But Sonia, I have to ask though, and I don't know what the structure of FFA is.
Like I said, I knew a lot of people in FFA when I was in school.
That was a long time ago.
Okay.
Is the ag advisor in the district a union employee, a unionized employee?
Usually if they're tenured, this particular person is still in our probationary period.
Okay. All right. And you had asked earlier about the reporting structure. So obviously
school level and then the Oregon SFA is the umbrella that the school reports to. And then we have the National SFA Organization that the Oregon SFA reports up to.
I have also launched my concerns in the proper forum reporting that as well, and no one has
reached out.
No one has?
So are your complaints then just being ignored at this point?
What?
Absolutely. In fact, this morning I was raising a concern
that I was not notified of an animal being taken
from the barn, moved to a different location.
And I said, well, none of these pens have been cleaned.
It's getting hotter, it's getting worse.
And now we have an unnecessary amount of flies
just because of the amount of mess and shavings
and manure that were left in the stall.
And so, when I pointed this out that I was basically...
I have an email actually from the principal that, you know, she's no longer speaking to me because my communications are
scattered and consistent.
And I'm like, well, y'all are consistent because it's something every day, whether
it's inappropriate behavior, animal neglect, you know, disregard for proper procedures.
And so, I struggle with that because that's my job. My job
as the SFA support is to support the program. Have they threatened your
contract? Just curious. Has that been... Absolutely. What's that? Has your contract
been threatened or are you are you gonna bounce you out you think? What?
Absolutely. I'm supposed to have a meeting with the superintendent
tomorrow, and I fully believe that they're
going to dismiss me.
All right.
It's pretty disappointing.
Like I said, I have written communication
that is being disregarded stating
that the principal has to allocate the time
and attention to issues that are critical and time sensitive. Well, if you're bringing all this stuff up though, by the way,
Sonya Warren with me here, if you're bringing all this up and nothing gets done about it,
is it because they come back and say that this is really within the acceptable protocol? I'm just
playing the other side here just a little bit and you've got really nothing to go on here. I struggle with the common sense of why that anybody would think that any of
these behaviors are acceptable. That you know just because someone has an Ag teacher certificate
doesn't make them all knowing. And so when students
and parents, and I'm not the only parent, I'm not the only one that's on this
witch hunt, I have a big supporting group of other students and parents and
former students actually, because there have been students who have been leaving
the district because of their interactions with her.
Now, did you not try to transfer your child, your son, out of this?
I am, and they have denied the transfer request twice saying that we do not qualify.
And I have pointed out that either it is, I've given them two options, that this is
harassment, bullying, intimidation on behalf of the advisor teacher's part and also the school with their excessive disciplinary action,
but also just letting us go to a different school that has an ethical, competent, capable
program, you know, that's considered within the athletic and, you know, academic activities
that's being disregarded, especially with my proof and point that I'm like,
how, what's the disconnect?
What am I missing?
Well, yeah, it would say to me that, gosh,
the Phoenix would love to get rid of you at this point,
just kind of have the problem going.
I would think so.
Okay, wow, this is interesting.
I wish I could draw a conclusion on this.
Now you say you have other parents that are willing to help you. Are you going to go to the board at this point? What's next?
Yeah, absolutely. So, it's kind of interesting that the fact of two years of complaints from multiple different people, and we're basically dismissing, well, until you submit this formal form, we can't do anything about it. I'm like, well, why doesn't, okay, fine.
I will do your form.
They are fixing to receive because I have filled out all of their, and I'm using
air quotes, I have filled out their official forms and they're going to be
receiving 14 of them via email.
I will also print them out and hand deliver them to the district
office tomorrow at my meeting.
All right.
Having 14 forms blows my mind. You should not... I just don't understand that.
I just want to be clear, this is not just you though. You're claiming this is not just you
having an issue with how the FFA is run there. Absolutely. Like you said, there are two former
staff members, there have been multiple children who have left the district, and there's going to be more.
Now I may be perfectly innocent for all I know, but we'll just see. I'll tell you what,
keep us in the room on this one. I'll be curious to hear what goes on because I know how inquiries
and things can go and disappear down the bureaucratic maw, you know, just, you know,
in it goes. It can be pretty frustrating, but I want to be fair about it too. Maybe
what the Ag Advisor in is perfectly innocent. I don't know. I'm not an Ag person, but I
do want animals to be treated ethically and professionally when they're going in and out.
Also, because you're training the future farmers in this sort of situation. You want good animal treatment out there and taking care of them.
Okay?
Well, the beauty of FFA is that so much more than just farming.
There are so many different avenues and ventures that are encompassed with the national FFA,
which is even bigger point that like it's not just a secluded group of kids.
We are branching out into all ethnicities walks of life and it's a
disservice to have a program that is failing. Another, you know, you asked about
some examples and I have concerns with how funding is being used and also the
presentation to the community. We had a plant sale last month and instead
of Phoenix High School, you know, FFA growing the plants from seeds or even, you know, starters,
Home Depot plants were purchased to re-pot it into planters and then sold.
Oh, to make it look like the kids were doing it, right?
Yep.
Yeah.
The children were actually instructed to, you know, if anybody asked, we
grew them. So, I don't think anybody wants their kids to lie. I mean, I know this with you, but teaching them and encouraging it is a different story.
Got it. I got it. All right. Sonya, I'll tell you what, keep us in the room and can people get a hold of you if they wanted to
ask you any questions about this? What should you do? Absolutely. So I actually have an Instagram page and it is titled, Our Kids Deserve Better. So, our kids deserve better in deserve period better. So our kids deserve better in a period
between everything you can gladly reach out to me on Instagram. Okay. You know I
can provide an email to you that if people would like to they can also reach
out. Yeah please go ahead and pop me an email bill to BillmireShow.com and
I'll tell you what just keep us in the room and you know maybe the the district will decide to look more into this and I'll be curious what
they do to the 14 forms being sent over as you'd mentioned. I appreciate your time so much Bill
thank you for listening and thank you for everyone that has supported me so
far and shared and liked and... All right now I just want to be clear I'm just
gonna ask you I'm gonna put you on the on the couch right now. You're not crazy, right?
No.
Okay.
I am very passionate.
But you know how people can say, alright, just a crazy FFA mom.
Alright.
Yeah.
Alright. Well, Sonya, thanks for the call. Appreciate you coming on, okay?
I appreciate it. Thanks, Bill.
And keep us in the room. What happens? I'll be curious to see where that goes.
It's KMED, KMED, HD1, Eagle Point, Medford, KBXG,
Grants Pass.
