you wanted to download them okay all right now uh coming up today we're going to have interesting
conversations here kevin sterrett will join me it's been a couple of weeks since we had a chance to talk with him.
But he is on... Both he and I were reading something from Cyrus Javadi. And he was...
well, some would just call him a Rinal Republican up from the northern part of the state.
And Kevin and I have been on a terror about one of the best things we could do to help
Oregon because we know that trying to persuade Democrats to be less communist, in fact even
communist, the Democratic Socialists have taken over and control the agenda now in the
Portland City Council.
One of the best things we could do as conservatives is to actually reform the Republican Party and have the Republican Party
being a little stronger and being tougher about who ends up wearing the Republican label. Because
having an R in the state of Oregon doesn't mean a whole lot in some particular cases. You know,
you have Cyrus Juvati on one hand who is out there voting for and praising the dancing black drag queens on the
House floor. Yes, a Republican, along with Kevin Mannix, you know, also same kind of Republican,
and conflated with the same type of attention to duty such as a Noel Robinson or state representative
Dwayne Younger, you know, with people who would say,
hey listen, we're not going to go down this road, right? And of course,
what happened with Noah Robinson and State Representative Dwayne Younger is
districts that, of course, no money in the Christmas tree bill. Don't tell me
that they're not trying to send a message. Well, Medford, which of course has,
you know, all sorts of people, including state representative, Kim Wallin, who I
think was pushing for the half million dollars for the Santos Center, and I'm
sure that Pam Marsh ended up getting stuff. I'm sure that Jeff Goldin's
district certainly getting this. You know, all this kind of stuff. We know this is
going to be happening. They all play along, play the game, and so they get money. So you sell out some of your constituents, then money comes in.
You know, that's just it. Now, the Democrats, they're not selling out their constituents.
They're, hey, listen, they're just doing what Democrats do. But there's really not an effective
opposition party in Oregon at this point.
And one of the few tools you have as the opposition is to walk out.
Now when we say walk out, it's not just walking out, it is denial of quorum.
There is still a requirement that a certain percentage of people be present in order to
conduct business.
And Cyrus Juvati, this, like I say, obviously what I would consider to be a rather squishy Republican, Republican
in name only, I would certainly do this, he puts out on his substack yesterday this long
screed about the cult of the walkout.
And listen, we need our voices there.
And to not be there, they don't hear us unless we're there.
And I'm just thinking to myself, it was like six or seven pages of nonsense, but he is
a state representative.
And I sent him a message, I'm trying to invite him on the program too, to talk about it.
But Kevin has already, I guess, conversed back and forth with him a little bit.
So I'm going to kind of chat about this. And we also have the other interesting things going on, like we have
Democrats getting their streets paved with government grants, their
private streets, and a private development. It's quite an
interesting story there. And then of course there's Greg Smith being accused,
and he's a Republican out in Morro County being accused, and this is in the more of the
Oregonian Department of Justice is opening up an investigation
Indicating all these people a number of people on a nonprofit
Because they were apparently lining they are apparently allegedly they know they haven't been convicted yet But lining their pockets by selling a nonprofit to themselves that they were on the board of this wind-wave
nonprofit, this ISP.
They sold it to themselves for about one-fourth the cost of what it was really worth because
they knew that Amazon and the Amazon data center was going to be their number one client.
And so the nonprofit ended up getting screwed by the people on their own board,
one of them being a state representative, a Republican in this particular case.
Yay team!
And I know that in Oregon we like to comfort ourselves with,
it's just clean government. We have clean government.
We have ethics commissions and all that yeah what the Ethics Commission does in
the state of Oregon is actually just a harass certain people who upset
Democrats usually that's the way that happens I'm thinking of like a Herman
Baerchiger how many times the investigative arm came down John West
and various other people ethics charge ethics charge and ethics charge, and then he gets dismissed.
And then the people who really have ethics problems, nothing really seems to happen about that.
So anyway, there we go. We'll talk with Kevin about that here in around 20. Now then, we have
Nick Card who's going to join me. He's a Medford City Councilman, stand-up guy. I always enjoy
talking with Nick. He may not say what I want to hear necessarily about what the city council's up to but you know he just
comes in here he'll talk about it
we're going to discuss what happened last night at the city council because
the push is to uh... grease the skids for a half billion dollar commercial
development
and this is called creekside quarter complex
and is also uh... about partially getting the ball team and you know the Eugene
Emeralds to come here too. That's a 90 million dollar bill and and I guess what
they're asking you to do is raise the tourism tax, raise the transient lodging
tax, in other words the hotel tax, it's the hotels, motels, Airbnb, all of that
would end up having their taxes raised.
It would not apply to long-term rentals or private homes, but that's what they're
trying to do.
And they want to use this for seed money.
Now the question is, how would a million dollars a year help get the Eugene
Emeralds here?
I don't know, but we'll talk with Nick about that after seven o'clock.
This is a big deal,
so they're going to ask us to raise taxes. All right? Now, we have Jeff Harrell, who
is joining me at 735. He's the owner of Cascadia Pharmacy Group. It's a big series of independent
pharmacies, many of them here in southern Oregon, okay? Cascadia Pharmacy Group. And
they're really concerned because nothing was done about this
corrupt pharmacy benefit manager issue. This is the one in which they're
supposed to get discounts and pass them along, but they end up pocketing it for
them, and it ends up being rough, and it's caused a lot of problems, and it's
helping a lot of small and independent pharmacies being shut down.
And heck, we've had big ones being shut down. It's getting harder and harder to find a good place
to get your pharmaceutical medicines. A lot of competition in here, but it's kind of an unfair
sort of situation and the pharmacy benefit managers have been doing a lot of crushing
of small pharmacies. So you get to the point what, you know, is
everybody going to have to go into the big city to get your drugs when you're a
small pharmacy in town ends up being crushed by these rules. And the
legislature did not do anything about it. Jeff is going to talk more about it and
what could be coming next. He'll join the show at the 735. Okay? All right. So we'll
be talking the lodging tax, ballgames games all these other things we had four fires break out on you know West of Grants Pass
yesterday happened along Rivers Bank Road fortunately they have all four of
those fires out but it was pretty rough there large as was a quarter of an acre
but they got them all put out fortunately that's good news and yes
we'll have a lot to talk about tomorrow on Mr. Fire. Most of it seems to be in pretty good shape. In spite of all
this fire smoke that we're having around here, most of the problem apparently is
outside of our area. We'll talk more with Greg Roberts about that tomorrow.
Let's see, Medford Man sentenced yesterday, federal court, ten years in
prison. This is a sex pervert thing for coercing and
sexually exploiting a minor online. Nicholas Shaw, 38 year old, 10 years he's
going to spend in federal lockup. Lifetime supervisor lease after that. He's
also ordered to pay $66,000 in restitution to his victims. I don't know
how he's going to do this in federal prison, but you know, we'll continue here. Fed's reporting that
Homeland Security started investigating him March of 2022. Apparently, Cyber Tips
from Snapchat and Kick Messenger, and he was convicted of all sorts of child
exploitation here, getting kids online with him, sending him
ex- explicit, sexually explicit photos and videos and things like that, and and so
they caught him and they have put him in jail. Ten years he's going to be there.
Now you would arguably say he had a Jeffrey Epstein problem. Oh yeah, yeah.
Now of course Epstein of course was he, yeah. Now of course, Epstein, of
course, was accused of all of the sex trafficking and all this, that. But,
speaking of which, the media ends up getting into this rather divisive issue
yesterday with President Trump. Here's how that went.
Will you ask Attorney General Pan-Ban to release more documents to finally put this controversy to bed?
Whatever's credible, she can release it. If a document is credible,
of the documents there that is credible, she can release. I think it's good. But
it's just really, it's just a subject. He's dead, he's gone. And all it is, is the
Republicans, certain Republicans got duped by the Democrats and they're following
a Democrat playbook.
And no different than Russia, Russia, Russia, and all the other hoaxes.
They're started by the Democrats and some Republicans, in this case I was surprised,
but they got duped, Pam Bondi duped, Dan Bongino duped, a good percentage of the
Trump folks all duped.
Really?
Does that sound credible to you?
Not going away.
And he did say that it doesn't appear that anything much will...
I mean, he does say later in here... Well, let me just get to the rest of it, though.
I don't know if this is smart politics, but let's continue with what happened at the press
conference. Okay? First of all, remember when you're high ranking officials, whether it's been
your FBI director or Pam
Bondi, they have made some inconsistent statements in the past.
You've had...
Well, I don't know.
I can't speak about him, but I can say that Pam Bondi, I really think that she's done
very good.
She says, I gave you all the credible information.
And if she finds any more credible information, she'll give that too.
What more can she do than that?
I mean, honestly, what more can she do?
And we do have bigger problems.
You know, we have problems with millions of illegal people
that came in here and they're killers and murderers.
We have 11,888 murderers
that were allowed into our country by Biden.
Sleepy Joe Biden, stupid Joe Biden.
He allowed them into our country.
And you know what?
We got to do something about it.
She's got a lot of things she's working on.
And you know, it's very sad that somebody can be waylaid, just get waylaid.
But she's, she's, I think she's doing a great job.
Okay.
So his supporters are stupid is kind of the takeaway I got from this.
They were duped.
Now, here's the problem with this.
You know it's hot. It's a hot situation. And yeah, there's probably been a lot of
polishing up of those files and information for quite some time. But Fox News a few days ago
did a pretty darn good piece. Ten reasons the DOJ and FBI facing backlash over the Epstein files flop
and we'll just number them here. Number one, Cash Patel House Republicans should release Epstein
list of pedophiles. They asked Patel, a right-wing commentator asked Patel, why the government had
not released information about his purported clients and Patel replied simple because of who's
on that list. That's what he told him.
Now we also have Cash Patel telling Glenn Beck that the FBI director has direct control of
Epstein's address book. Remember, there is a possessed address book. We know about this through
Ghislaine Maxwell. You know about that. She certainly had some of that. Number three, Trump tells Fox News,
this was last year during his campaign, that he will declassify the Epstein files if he were
elected president. That doesn't mean release what's credible. That doesn't mean polish it up. That
means just declassify and release the Epstein files. Okay, let's just think about that, all right?
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene insisted that there is a list even after the Bondi-led
DOJ said otherwise.
What about her little black book?
This is what I was telling you, mentioning just a moment ago.
The 97-page book containing the names and contact details of almost 2,000 people, including
world leaders, celebrities, and businessmen.
No one believes there's not a client list.
We have Senator Marshall Blackburn, obviously a dupe from Texas, who's a Republican, claims
Epstein's client list was key to helping us crack this trafficking ring wide open.
Number six, Bondi suggested an Epstein list was on her desk. Epstein list, rather.
Yeah, we know about that.
She was talking about that for quite some time.
Bondi told Sean Hannity the DOJ has a truckload of Epstein evidence.
Number eight, Bongino told his listeners Epstein's client list is a huge deal.
There's a reason they're hiding it.
And now they had to back away from this like a Georgia mule.
Bondi said she was briefed on the Epstein files and could not talk about them. This was in February.
Patel said in November that restoring trust in federal
agencies could include giving the public the Epstein list. So there we go.
The other thing that I would say, not that I want to be fanning the flames here,
but did JP Morgan Chase,
remember that talk with John Deaton the other day?
John Deaton, former federal prosecutor, and he ended up bringing up one of the people
who actually used to work for JP Morgan Chase, who had actually direct emails with Jeffrey
Epstein about wanting to have his Snow White Princess experience
and who was next. Oh, I want Belle. Belle from Beauty and the Beast. It's like, yikes.
You see this? The tale is old as time. Okay. But there is some $300 million, $300 million
$300 million in damages paid by JP Morgan Chase. Now was JP Morgan Chase duped?
Did JP Morgan Chase, the bank, pay more than $300 million to victims of Epstein's sex trafficking. Remember, they ended up taking care of
all the financial or many of the financial transactions. And the people
behind those transactions are the clients. Okay? So, you know, who's being
duped here, I guess I would say. Now, of course, as part of that lawsuit, that list was sealed.
That list should be unsealed, don't you think? All right, so this is why there's a portion of
the Trump supporting orbit that is not real happy. So, Pam Bondi can release what's credible. No, President Trump said he was going to declassify and release it.
Let the chips fall where they may.
Now maybe it wouldn't necessarily be fair.
I get this, but the idea, this is the information, we're not vetting it, here it is, here's everything
we got.
And it's probably a bipartisan situation.
That's how I'm seeing it at this point.
But don't tell me that JPMorgan Chase sent $300 million
to several, what was that, a couple hundred victims
of sex trafficking, of Maxwell and Epstein,
and that they were duped, and that was a big conspiracy theory.
Just saying, this is the Bill Myers show. Here's how I do it. I add a $4,500 Butler discount to the $5,500 rebate you can get with Ford, and that's $10,000

truck.
Remember, $10,000 off of Ford Super Duty.

Hey, if you're looking for a specific purpose-built truck, come see me at Butler Ford.
I'll make sure you buy the ones right for you and how you're going to use it.
And when you see the Ford TV ads that are offering 0% financing, 0 down payments, and
0 payments for 90 days, I want you to think of Butler Ford.
Come down to Ashen, we'll show you how the deal works on the full lineup of Ford vehicles.

Hi, I'm Randy with Diner 62 and I'm on KMED.
6.30 on the Bill Myers show.
Kevin Starr joins me here in a few minutes.
We'll be talking about some interesting developments with state representatives here. President Trump yesterday at a press conference here, they're asking him
about the Epstein deal. He's dead, he's gone, and all it is is the Republicans,
certain Republicans got duped by the Democrats and they're following a
Democrat playbook and no different than Russia, Russia, Russia and all the other
hoaxes. So even all these people in his own administration that he has brought in, in the FBI, DOJ, all the rest of it, that say,
yeah, we know there's a problem here. They were all duped. And anybody who wants justice here or is thinking there's something,
stupid Democratic playbook. Now, to be fair, I have to tell you, the Democrats are jumping on Epstein now after having sat on the files all these years because I think they're seeing political or smelling political
blood in the water.
But Eric, let me get your theory since it is Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
Go ahead.
Good morning.
Well, I think everybody can agree that President Trump has really bungled the handling of these
files.
Everyone knows that.
But what if, and I've kind of put this together from what a bunch of the talking heads have said about, you know,
different aspects of this, but what if the Epstein files, that investigation,
which started way back in 2005, what if the Obama administration took over the
investigation, didn't prosecute, which we know they didn't, but then used that and
started planting information
in these lists against their political enemies.
And they would go to them and say, hey, if you don't vote this way, or you don't give
us these concessions, we're going to release these lists, and we're going to prosecute
this person, and you're going to go down for this.
And so they did this for eight years.
And then Trump got in his first time, Trump not knowing about all the stuff that happened,
okay, we're prosecuting this guy. This is a horrible crime.
They prosecuted it.
They couldn't say anything during the prosecution.
But after 2020, now he could say something.
He got got back into it.
I'm going to release the information.
And now they're going through the list going, wait a minute, some of these names don't make
a lot of sense.
And now I think he's getting pressured to not release the names because there's fake information in there that the Obama administration put in in order to
control democratic political enemies. It's possible. Maybe that's it though,
but what I would dare say though, if you promise to declassify it, just say,
hey, we're not vetting this stuff, put it out, and let the chips fall where they
may.
Yeah, but an accusation like that against anybody, there's no coming back from it. You're destroying whoever is there, if it's not true. And so maybe that's what they're trying to,
maybe they have to take longer and really figure out who's really guilty and who the fake information
is. Well, you know, he could make this go away really quick just to point a special prosecutor,
right?
Agreed. Yeah. Yeah. And then, of course, the report comes out after the midterms.
Thanks, Eric. I appreciate the call. All right.
We will catch up on other stories here, including
the cult of the walkout, the cult of denial of quorum. was actually a statement that was in a sub stack there from Cyrus Givaldi, and
arguably a Republican squish that is considered just as valuable of a Republican vote in the
state legislature as a state representative, Dwayne Younger, who actually has a spine and
a principal or two in there. We'll kick that around with Kevin Sterritt and that and a bunch more coming up.

From the KMED News Center, here's what's going on.
After a brutal drubbing, Oregon boating officials,
who stated specifically people floating
in two inner tubes tied together,
would need a waterway access permit,
they now say you don't.
The clarification, as they call it,
has to do with House Bill 2982,
which was signed into law by Governor Tina Kotec.
The state agency clarified this week,
saying waterway access permit requirements
does not include single inner tubes or single inner tubes tied together. A man
extradited from California charged with murder 40 years after the victim
disappeared. Mark San Fratello was arraigned Wednesday in Josephine County
Court. He's accused of killing Teresa Perrone, who was reported missing in
1983 after a party in the Selma area where she was last seen walking into the woods with San Fratello who was her boyfriend at the time.
Detectives linked the man to her death using DNA techniques. Oregon Governor
Tina Kotec has declared a state of emergency due to the threat of wildfire.

President Trump's request to cancel roughly nine billion dollars in foreign

Kevin Starrett joins me.
And we're not really talking about anything involving firearms, but Kevin is a deeply
political animal here, keeping an eye on the Oregon State Legislature and what else is going on, as he's also working for Oregon Firearms Federation.
Kevin, we welcome you back.
I called you up yesterday and I said, Kevin, did you get Gervadi?
Did you see Gervadi's substack?
We had a conversation about that.
I had to bring you on and have a little conversation about this because it's just astounding to me what is coming out of so-called Republicans here.
And to me, we're not going to fix Democrats. Democrats are what the Democrats are.
But I'm hoping that we can fix who we send to the legislature that are called Republicans. Fair enough?
Would that be a good way of starting off our conversation?
I don't think there's much we can do if we don't clean house.
Agreed. Now, Cyrus Giovade, or Jav-a-dee, I guess, we're not sure how he pronounces his name.
I popped him an email through the Substack, and I'll see if maybe he'll come on the program and talk about this.
He put out a Substack yesterday about the cult of denying quorum or, you know, walking out
the cult of the walkout. He says there are certain just sacred cows that are put out there. And I
guess he would count me as like President Trump yesterday talking about people about the Epstein
thing, that I've just been duped, that I've been duped into this this belief that denial of quorum, the only tool that Republicans really have in the state
legislature because they're in the minority, might have some influence on
policy and apparently have been duped according to Cyrus Javadie. What are your thoughts on that after having read this?
I was amazed at the duplicity and the arrogance and the deceitfulness.
Now I believe this guy is basically a far left actor, you know, just based on his comments
and his posts.
But essentially what he said was walking out is a really bad idea because
we're disrupting the process. The process is this wonderful sacred thing. We achieve
nothing by walking out. It solves no problems. And in fact, we become less relevant. And
the people who promote a denial of quorum. Which is a constitutional tool used to
keep the majority party in
check. The people promote that
are just essentially. Troublemakers
who want to burn the whole system
now. And that in fact he's kind
of a hero for staying there
because. A denial of quorum
means you're irrelevant but if you actually read the
sub stack. Every paragraph
becomes increasingly more
absurd. His contention is okay
so. This process is so
wonderful and so sacred and we
have to honor it. And unless
where they're making speeches
we're not achieving anything we're there making speeches,
we're not achieving anything.
And that the making speeches is actually a very, very powerful
process that changes things.
I mean, he says this.
He says, I'm in it because he and I went back and forth
on his sub stack where I said, no, walking out is your tool
and staying there makes you irrelevant. And his position is no, when I'm here, I can make floor speeches.
I can propose amendments.
Yes, he can propose amendments.
And then we'll be completely ignored by the majority.
Exactly. Immediately go in the garbage.
Yeah. But then if you start looking around at his other substacks,
which I unfortunately did,
he has another one defending his vote on the celebration of drag culture to Oregon and
how his staying on the floor for a performance by two men dressed as women prancing around
in Gola Mae is a demonstration of his commitment to the First Amendment and
free speech as if the idea that just because something is legal it should be
celebrated and we should have no standards. And in that he goes on...
Now hold on, given that logic that it's the First Amendment, we know that
strippers, actual strippers in Oregon have this First Amendment protection.
They actually have very strong First Amendment protection, you know, artistic expression,
all the rest of it. Given that logic, Javadis should be thrilled then if we were to go down
to one of the strip clubs here in Southern Oregon and have them perform, you know, bring the gold,
bring the gold pole out. Not go down, have them come to the house floor and do a pole dance, which is what which is what happened here
To black drag queens come to the house floor in LeMay men dressed as women
Prance around almost all the Republicans walked off the floor and discussed which I commend
except for Javity and Mannix who voted in favor of this resolution that if you actually read the resolution
Which which the sponsor of the revolution?
resolution Travis Nelson a
Never stops reminding us that he's a gay black man
Read the entire resolution and it sounds like something from the Babylon B. It's so absurd
But he's he's protecting his he's defending his position on this because
he's a champion of free speech. But then it gets even worse. Because in that sub stack
he references his vote on a bill that it was it was a Senate bill one oh nine eight. And
basically what this bill does is it strips localities of the ability to get pornography
out of the school library unless they jump through enormous hoops, which they did, which
actually Senator Anderson defended his vote for this by saying it protects local control,
which is exactly the opposite of what it does.
Because it really strips the school boards of the ability to control what ends up being purchased and put into their local schools
And this is something that state representative Duane Younger, of course was protesting mightily
In fact, he's in trouble back. I guess he's still in trouble
He hasn't heard about the I talked with him the other day about this for actually reading from these pornography books that pass as that pass muster and are in high school
Libraries here in southern, Oregon and he read this stuff on the floor and he's been in big trouble over it ever since
It's a trouble, but what's interesting is the way Javadi
Describes this bill which is completely false
He says all the bill does is say,
you can't ban a book because you don't like
who the author is.
And that is a stone lie.
That is not what the bill says.
And hilariously, in his sub-stack,
he links to the bill with the assumption
that nobody's gonna read it
because the bill doesn't say that.
In fact,
he says all it does is mean says you can't ban a book because some of the author is gay
or black or even white. But that is not true. It doesn't say that at all. And so this guy
is just I mean, he's basically a leftist. who's made that perfectly clear. He votes with the left and defends the left all the time. But this original concept, which we started with,
with this idea that walking out is a demonstration. We are irrelevant if we walk out, which is
something that House Rep Mark Owens said too. He said, if we're not there, our voices don't matter.
Okay, wait, I have to interject here, Kevin, because my teeth hurt when I hear
people who swore an oath to defend the Oregon and the federal constitution from enemies, both foreign
and domestic, etc. They're coming off as enemies of the constitutional process because it's total
nonsense. If you deny quorum when it's the only tool you have, that means that none of the other people can do anything.
And I would dare say that's having your constituents' voice being heard when you throw a monkey wrench into it,
and then negotiation has to be done in order to continue business again.
I mean, where am I wrong on this?
You're not wrong. And, you know, Javis specifically says that denials of quorum accomplish nothing.
Well, just a few, I guess it was last week, you were talking to Herman Bartschiger, who
pointed out how many bills he was able to kill with a denial of quorum, which doesn't
mean, okay, we stamp our feet and we leave and never come back.
What it means is it's a tool it's a negotiating tool. It's a way to
keep in check. The outrageous
excesses of a majority party
which is gone completely off
the rails. And what job it is
saying look I'm here I'm
fighting for you when in fact
if you are a landlord or a gun
owner or a farmer or somebody
just trying to make ends meet
and your life
is being destroyed by these far left policies.
All you should do is get up and give a speech and those people really should just, you know,
they should just live with it because or you could vote in other people.
Well, maybe you can, maybe you can't.
The fact is, is that in Oregon, the left controls everything.
That is absolutely true. Does that
mean that people who do not ascribe to these policies should be essentially crushed? You know,
it's a democracy now. Excuse me. It's mob rule. And the majority can do whatever it wants now
to the minority, which is what we're seeing. And his position is that that's fine.
Yeah, the minority shouldn't fight back in any way.
And that has been the complaint of conservatives here in Southern Oregon,
is that there has been very little appetite for fight.
And I couldn't help but notice that the Daily Courier ended up putting out an article,
I don't know if you caught that or not, I don't know if you subscribed,
but they were talking about all the goodies that came to the Jackson County area through the Christmas tree bill.
And of course noting that there was nothing but coal in the stocking for Josephine County.
So you know they're trying to sell the situation that, now see, if you're a sellout and you can bring in a million dollars or so or something like that,
that's okay. Play that game. We'd rather have you play that game. I think that's kind of the implied
push of that agenda. That is the entire game. That is how this is played. If you are a good,
subservient little boy, you get money in your district and then you get to brag about it.
We get emails from legislators like Greg Smith, look at all the money I brought into my district.
Meanwhile, you know, Greg Smith is now on boards that sell things to himself at a cut rate.
It's insane what's going on.
Yeah. What did you think about that story?
See, this is nothing. This is what I'm talking about, that the Republican Party in Oregon needs to clean house.
And you need to mean something to be a Republican.
Javadee obviously would not qualify in my point of view.
We have Greg Smith, who of course said, this is Morrow County.
And that story came out that the Oregon Department of Justice is now investigating them because
apparently he and many other people on this wind wave ISP, Internet Service Provider, ended up selling
this.
They were on the board of the nonprofit and then they sold the nonprofit to themselves
for about one-fourth the true value.
Yeah.
Nothing to see here, Bill.
I know.
Just move along.
Now, this is a Republican that did that.
We also have an Oregon lawmaker.
This is a Democrat this time, Representative Gomberg.
You've talked about him before, in which he got state officials to approve funding for
a road project in his private subdivision near Lincoln City.
A private subdivision, I would dare say.
With wildfire money.
Yes, yes, with wildfire money.
But this is how that game is played.
It's very corrupt, unfortunately, and it corrupts the process.
And then you end up having people like Javadie and others that are saying, we must be there
in order for our voices to be heard.
Right?
Well, and then you have Kevin Mannix, you know, Democrat turned
Republican who did never really turn Republican, who switches his vote on this horrible transportation
bill and votes for it. Coincidentally, at the same time when they put a hundred million dollars into
a project he will greatly benefit from, which is, I think, dredging a channel somewhere in, I think,
Coos County. And of course, no, this had nothing to do with it. I didn't talk to anybody.
These two things happened at exactly a hundred million bucks, right?
These two things happened at the same time. What a coincidence.
Yeah. And Epstein didn't, and Epstein killed himself too. Okay. We'll just,
well, you know,
when Mike Nierman was forced out of the House of Representatives by his fellow Republicans,
led by Christine Drazen for being the only person willing to stand up and defend the rights of
access to the people of this state who own the Capitol building, he was picked, so he was forced
out so they had to get a replacement. The PCPs, the precinct people in his district, chose him
as their number one choice to replace himself, right? And now he has to be approved by the
county commissioners. And when he appeared before the county commissioners, he said, look,
if you only want a legislator who's going to bring money back to your counties, I'm
not your guy.
He told the truth.
He said, I am going to vote for what is best for the state and Oregonians.
So of course, you know- They didn't choose him.
No way, man.
That's the thing.
They were all sending out these emails.
Smith is doing it.
Every one of them is sending out all these emails.
Look at all the money we got for the district.
Well, what did, okay, yes, you've got money for the district, which was,
which was basically stolen from you by the state in exchange for what?
In exchange for compliance and going along and being a good little soldier.
Well, in, in exchange really for not, for going along with Democrat bills and
being there and keeping it going.
And so even if they vote against them, which they say, oh, look, we voted no, they expedited
the bills just like they expedite the bills every day.
You know, the Oregon Constitution says on the day the bill is voted on, the entire bill
must be read in its entirety.
They rarely do that because a Republican, I'm not sure why it's always a Republican,
makes a motion to suspend that rule, which basically speeds up the process.
Well, I'm sure the Republican makes that motion to suspend the rule so that they are looked
favorably upon the corrupt Christmas tree bills. So the half million or three quarters of a million
dollars or the million dollars for this. Or the hundred million dollars. Or a hundred million depending on who you are.
This is why the reason I'm talking with you about this this morning is to make
it clear that we have a few people of principle within the state legislature
and the vast majority of them honestly are not in my view. They are very
transactional politicians. If we are looking to reform the state of Oregon, we need a truly opposition party, an opposition
party to the Democratic Party agenda. And that means also willing to use all the tools
at their disposal and not fall prey to saying, I need to be there so that my voice is heard.
What so a couple hundred people on the stream hear your speech, but yet it doesn't change anything? You know?
This is exactly what Javadee said. He said, I can make floor speeches and this will change
people's minds. Well, you know what? I don't think I've ever seen a floor
speech change anyone's mind. You know, it may have happened in the several hundred
years of the state's existence.
And I also doubt that, you know, Republicans making friends with, for all intents and purposes,
rank communists.
They're just everything but communists, and they just don't call themselves communists
yet.
Okay?
But if we're friends with them and they can see the good people they are, they'll come
to understand our point of view and they'll
vote more along our way.
It is one of the most naive points of view you can take because all you have to do is
just look at the state legislature and see what has come out of it, you know, with those
kind of people in charge.
That's all.
Well, look, in any normal world, you would have differing opinions within the legislature
that were debated in a collegial way
and sometimes you'd win and sometimes you'd lose. But we aren't in a normal situation. We're in a
situation where the Portland City Council now is controlled not by people who act like communists,
but people who are communists. Democrats, Socialists of America. What is it? Four of them. Four of them
on the City Council now. Right. They're going to crush landlords. They're going to complain about no housing,
but make sure no more housing can be built. They're going to start... I mean, they talk about
the guy running for mayor in New York. They want to start government grocery stores. That should
be fun to watch. And of course, all of that crap dribbles down to the rest of the state.
But this whole notion that by being there
and making our voices heard, we're making a difference.
It doesn't make a difference to the people,
the vast number of people in this state
who are now have been told,
you are not allowed to participate
in a city council hearing.
You are not allowed to go to a county commissioners meeting
because some harridans in red shirts say
that you make them uncomfortable. If you are a farmer who's being crushed by these rules or a landlord
is being crushed or just a person who could no longer pay their bills because of the outrageous
taxes that we pay to pay unbelievable salaries, when you look at the salaries of some government
workers, it's absolutely astonishing. To those people, it doesn't matter that you're high and mighty and you're courteous.
He even said in one of his comments...
Is this Javadie?
Javadie?
Yeah, Javadie.
I pointed out, look, the left and the Democrats will do anything to get what they want.
His comment was, well, I'm not going to act that way.
Well, you are so damn courteous, aren't you?
But you see, that's true. They won't act that way. You know what you are so damn courteous aren't you? Well, but you see that's true
They won't act that way. They won't yeah
The Republicans are so morally superior so morally superior like Javadee that they won't use the one tool
They have to really affect any change to protect their people because they don't want to act that way
Hmm. Now I have to tell you I don't know if you read but in Texas we have the
Forget who it was was it the governor? Now, I have to tell you, I don't know if you read, but in Texas, we have the, I forget
who it was, was it the governor?
There was a calling out, the marshals or whatever it is to go out there and grab the Democrats
who have been denying quorum in the Texas state legislature.
And I applaud those Democrats, not that I support their point of view, because I don't,
but they are doing in Texas what Republicans will not do in Oregon, and
the Democrats are doing it there because they have a disagreement with the Republicans.
And I would imagine that the Democrats there are probably not nearly as radical as the
Democrats here in the state of Oregon. Just saying.
Well, you know, in his other sub-stack, defending his vote on drag queens, he's talking about, you know, basically, we have to let them come and dance on our floor because, you know, no, you don't.
yourself and the Democrats will say you're not doing your job.
You're not you know you got to come to work which means come
to work so we can smack you around and humiliate you like
presented to McLean several times where he told the shut
up shut up yet all the shut up is that's a shut up there.
Kelly Beaux art Davis was told to shut up by by Gorsuch and
meanwhile on that committee which is a joint committee
House and Senate members the Republican, on that committee, which is a joint committee, House and Senate members, the Republican men on that committee said nothing while Gorsuch was smacking Shelley
Beaux-Arts Davis around.
Nobody even said, hey man, calm down, let alone, hey, shut up.
It was like, do what you want.
We'll walk off the floor later.
But in the meantime, you can humiliate one of our members.
And this is the kind of crap that Javad is defending because he wants to be collegial, but actually because he's a Democrat leftist. And now one of the people who
supported him when he ran, because he probably misrepresented his positions, is trying to recall
him. And I think that's a wonderful thing because he represents nobody except the Democrats in
Portland. And there we go. Kevin Starr at Oregon Firearms Federation. By the way, I'm going to link to Cyrus Javidy's Substack there, but you
can just go to Substack.com and search Cyrus Javidy, J-A-V-A-D-I, and it'll bring
it up. And you can read this note that he put up yesterday. And like I said, my jaw
dropped open. It's like reading it and talking about the cult of quorum denial in the walkout.
Yet another example of someone trying to justify not doing anything. And that's really what many
Republicans have been trying to do, justify not doing anything and just staying there and not
really fighting. And the state can't survive that, my opinion. Kevin and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention and being willing to
talk about it and we'll have you back at some point but thank you so much.
Be well. Thank you Bill. Kevin's website by the way is oregonfirearms.org.

Brainstorming continues at the offices of Fontana Roofing in their quest to promote
their new metal roof manufacturing division.
Whoa, a little early for that!
Whoops.
Sorry, I'm looking for music for our new metal roofing and siding commercial.
I'm really getting into it.
That was music?
Maybe we should just serve up these straight facts.
Like, uh, just say Fontana Roofing is manufacturing metal roofing and siding for contractors,
and do it yourselfers, without the screeching guitar and incoherent lyrics?
Yeah, and Ed at Fontana will manufacture everything you need on site.
Roofing, siding, gutters, trim, gables.
They'll even deliver the screws.
We're the one-stop shopping of metal roofing.
The whole kit and caboodle.
Can I at least throw in a guitar riff and maybe Bruno Barking?
If you must.

Good conversation is coming up here in just a few minutes. We're going to talk with
Medford City Councilor, Nick Card. And Nick is going to be talking about the vote last night.
They did vote to refer increasing the transient or the hotel motel tax and they want to increase this a little bit and a couple percent from
the looks of it and they want to use this as seed money and there's also
conversation about using it for seed money also to attract the Eugene
Emeralds. I don't know how that would necessarily work and how they would pull
the other financial rabbits out of a hat. We'll talk with Nick about that here in just a few minutes on the Bill Maier Show.
