Starting point is 00:00:00 The Bill Myers Show podcast is sponsored by Klausur drilling. They've been leading the way in Southern Oregon well drilling for over 50 years. Find out more about them at Klausor drilling.com. Have you heard a good conspiracy? You want to engage in a little conversation about that? 7705633-7-0KM-A-D. It is conspiracy theory Thursday. I know that Lucretia roby this morning saying,
Starting point is 00:00:23 Bill, this is unusual. More sulfur dioxide sprayed on the East Coast, most likely why people on the East Coast look older than those on the West Coast, question mark? Most likely, well, it could be. You know, I was talking about that yesterday with the, well, with the conversation I had with my Aunt Sherry, who lives a mile away from the blown up U.S. steel plant, you know, the Coke plant over in Clareton, Pennsylvania that killed a couple of people. And by the way, they are getting that reopened and still investigating it. I haven't heard any additional news about that.
Starting point is 00:00:58 But growing up there around my grandparents in the 1960s and 1970s, yeah, there was a lot of sulfur dioxide and a lot of other stuff out there. Boy, it was a mess. Because, I mean, they were taking coal and baking it in ovens and then burning off the gases that would come out of the smokestack. They would flare it, I guess, is what they call that term. And, yeah, that's what they were doing that. It's a lot cleaner now. Now they got scrubbers on it. Back then, I think they just said, okay, let's just bake the coal.
Starting point is 00:01:28 And just put it out there and burn it. Let's see what happens. That's a different time, right? And, yeah, there are some things in the Clean Air Act. I honestly think have improved things. But we've done most of the heavy lifting. And now they're, of course, having to say, never clean enough until carbon dioxide, the poison on the planet is gone.
Starting point is 00:01:49 And obviously, these people on the EPA, it never took third grade biology in which carbon dioxide is plant food, feeds the plants, plants grow, give us oxygen, a little minor thing like that. You look back in the history of the plant, and we've had way, way more than 400 parts per million of carbon dioxide in the air. In fact, if everything, if I recall correctly, we were kind of like lush jungles in those days when it was that way. Yeah, it was a warmer climate, but then look at the bright side. You didn't need a heat pump in the wintertime, right? All right, all right.
Starting point is 00:02:29 770563 to join conspiracy theory Thursday. No conspiracy here, just and not even a theory. You need to talk with Steve Hansy if you have got your renewal in for your insurance and you're not real pleased with what you saw, whether it's your home, auto, life, whatever. Give him a shot at it. Steve Hansy at Sky Park Insurance, he's an independent insurance agency, works with a lot of different companies to save me money, saves a lot of K&D listeners money too. And maybe you could be one of them, but you just call them.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Get a quote, 261-5444, that's 261-5-44-4. All the lines, many different companies, and I've had a pretty good experience. Steve's good guy. Another good person there, Lynn Barton, who joined the team not too long ago, and she handles the different line of the insurance questions. She takes care of Medicare and Medicare supplemental insurance. That's what she works and helps you. Her number is 499-0-9-58.
Starting point is 00:03:28 4-9-0-9-58. If you ever forget the numbers, just email me and I'll send them back to you. I could just do this in my sleep and talking about it for years. Good people helping you out here, keeping your costs low, keeping your service high. Skypark, I-N-S dot com. Steve Yancey and Lynn Barton at Sky Park. At Sky Park, we make insurance easy. We've heard it all.
Starting point is 00:03:49 That power pole wasn't there yesterday. White cars blend perfectly with the snow. It was either the cat or the mailbox. B-Y-R-N-A.com. You're hearing the Bill Myers Show on Southern Oregon's home for conservative talk. Mornings on KMED at 993 KBX-G. Call Bill at 770-5633 at 770 KM-E-D. Here's Bill Meyer.
Starting point is 00:04:17 You remember way back of the day with, what, maybe 2015, before the 2016 presidential election, And they were having the Republican candidates debating one another, and Rand Paul and President Trump would get into it. Remember that? I will always remember when Rand Paul, as we know, is not a very tall man. Just like, I am not a very tall man. And Donald Trump went out there.
Starting point is 00:04:45 You know, Rand, I've had it up to here with you, and he put his hands down near his belt buckle, his waist level. which was kind of a crack on his height. I'm kind of wondering, is he going to pull that, you think, tomorrow, President Trump is? Do you think President Trump will pull that with Vladimir Putin tomorrow in Alaska? Listen, Vlad, I've had it up to here with you, and, you know, down there. You don't think so? You do?
Starting point is 00:05:15 No, you don't do that. See, yeah, that's right. Rand Paul didn't have nukes. Yeah, that could be. I'll be interested to see what comes out of this. if there's going to be any kind of a ceasefire or anything moving forward. Zelensky, of course, is a concern that it's going to be cut out of it, but I think all we will be talking about it a while is how much territory will be given up.
Starting point is 00:05:39 You'll see. We have open phones on Conspiracy Theory Thursday, which makes it a dangerous time. 7705-633-770 KMED. All right. Some of our local headlines here. weird stories. There's just weird stories going on in some of our local news. We have Republicans suing Republicans, once again.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And you know what that means Josephine County. Daily Courier put out a piece the other day, and I was reading this and I'm shaking my head saying, why is this happening? Vince Webb, conservative guy, from what I understand. I don't know. I don't think I've ever had a chance to talk to Vince Webb. Vince Webb ends up sending a letter through Stephen Junkus. Of course, Stephen Junkus attorney has been involved and represents a lot of people in various lawsuits here recently. But Vince Webb is wanting or is threatening, I guess, to sue Joseph Rice, who is the new chair,
Starting point is 00:06:42 the recently elected chair of the Josephine County Republicans, and will sue the Republican Party itself unless Joseph Rice either retracts statements that he claims were made or resigns. So in other words, quit, you can either apologize and retract your statements or quit. And I was trying to get to the bottom of this. I mean, it's a story there in the Daily Courier, which was interesting. And Rice said on Monday, he will not resign or be intimately. by this letter. Now, this was a letter that came from the attorney, Stephen Junkis, who is representing Webb. Web is saying, hey. And I don't have a copy of the letter, but from what I haven't told, I ended up calling the former chair of the Josephine County Republicans, and I said, okay, what's going on with this? Well, this letter apparently was saying, all right, the claim is that Joseph Rice made a claim or,
Starting point is 00:07:46 or said something there at party headquarters that that Webb was a felon. And there's no record of that having been done. And so then the letter comes in there and said, hey, you're going to do this. And apparently there was conversation that maybe Webb was involved in his company, that they might be one of the people involved in producing tiny houses. Once Josephine County starts doing their pathway to riches for homeless, NGOs plan, you know, whatever that is, and starts building tiny houses there. And Joseph said, well, you know, words to affect, according to this Josephine County story here,
Starting point is 00:08:30 the Daily Courier of, well, if we're going to build tiny houses, we should be building tiny houses in Josephine County and not over in China, implicating that maybe Webb was involved in that. I don't know. I'm not even going to go there. But so now, apparently it's Joseph Rice now saying he didn't make that statement, although there were people down at the party headquarters to say, yeah, it did. And so off and off we go.
Starting point is 00:08:58 So according to the threat letter from Stephen Junkus, the attorney, Rice has to either apologize, withdraw any kind of statements, or quit the party by tomorrow in order to keep from from getting sued. So I don't know where this is going, but I am so, so praying that over the coming weeks and months, we can get to the point where Republicans stop saying suable or actionable things about others, and then we just kind of pull together and figure out
Starting point is 00:09:32 how we're actually going to stop the bloodthirsty Democrats. I don't know. Maybe that's why there's all those Republicans that are liking to. reach across the aisle and work with the Democrats because at least the Democrats aren't suing them? I don't know, but it really you start wondering at some point. Then we have more important things to do.
Starting point is 00:09:54 But yeah, we'll just see. I guess Joseph Rice can either apologize or not apologize, but Joseph Rice says, I'm not going to do anything. I'm not going to resign. Now he's saying he didn't say it. I imagine there's other people that said he did say it. I don't know where this is
Starting point is 00:10:11 going but one way or the other i'm hoping that we can avoid going into court for all these i'm thinking about all that stuff with uh stephen rikio well not rikio uh john rikio over at uh grants pass day uh grants pass um oh what's the grants pass news site um grants pass tribune yeah online news site and uh and he sued me just because i ended up talking with uh commissioner john west back when he was a commissioner and they were talking about one person says this and then i said gosh sounds like blackmail and then it's just a mess and i don't know what it is about josephine county but there seems to be a lot of willingness to fight and fight and fight and the thing is is that a lot of this speech to me at least to to my ears and brain as a talk show host
Starting point is 00:11:02 it's protected political speech. Political speech is hardcore back and forth and, you know, and it's not always kind. But yeah, it's not true that you're going around telling people that someone's a felon or a convicted felon, and it's not backable. You know, that's a problem. You can action that.
Starting point is 00:11:25 But I'm hoping the cooler heads can prevail and that everybody just apologizes. Let's hold hands in and get something done. are you with me on that good i i'm assuming you're with me on that right right or should we all just be suing are each other out of existence for uh for mean things that we say mean girls and mean boys all right i'm praying for cooler heads Oregonian reporting this morning time running out for eligible Oregon families to apply for $120 grocery benefit.
Starting point is 00:12:04 I love these kind of headlines, don't you? Or again, reminding low-income parents they have until September 3rd, it's about three weeks to apply for $120 per kid in federal money to help cover the cost of food while school is out for the summer. The part that is always irritating about this is that the default position from all of these federal and state welfare programs is that it is not a parent's responsibility to feed their children it is the responsibility of the state
Starting point is 00:12:37 that's what irritates me about this whole thing oh school's out your children probably don't eat because school is out when did we get to that point serious question when did we get to this point that we have decided that it is no longer a pain
Starting point is 00:12:58 parents' responsibility to make sure that there is good food coming in and that you have food, maybe you're making food, and that it was up to the school district to provide that. I know this is a good thing, Bill. It's helping to bring nutritious food to the family. And at this point, the summer is already over. So what's the point of $120 grocery benefit? You weren't able to afford it then, but you fed the kids anyway, and so now the federal government has to pay you back.
Starting point is 00:13:33 It never seems to end. But on the good side of things, they're no longer fighting over at the Grants Pass Library thing with Josephine County. That's one in the Daily Courier also. Apparently in today's County Commission meeting, they're getting things together. The library will be paying a little bit more. It's still going to be that dollar per year. but they're going to contribute toward the roof replacement.
Starting point is 00:14:01 And they're also going to take over maintaining the parking lot, the grounds, the HVAC, and landscaping, too. So no, I know that the Democrats of Josephine County were saying that what Chris Barnett and all those rascally Republicans were going to do is just going to kick him out on the street, and then where are we going to be able to get transgender books for the kids? you have to have that so yes the transgender kids
Starting point is 00:14:30 books will still be there I don't know if they have those the Grants Pass Library I'm engaging in a little hyperbole but you know that tends to be the thing if the Democrats of Josephine County are upset that's usually what they're upset about they're upset about that kind of stuff but all is forgiven everyone's going to be happy
Starting point is 00:14:47 no one's being kicked out and Republicans aren't censoring now censoring to a Democrat is when taxpayers aren't paying for your LGBT book, that kind of thing. And by the way, there was another story about that. Grants Pass School Board voted
Starting point is 00:15:03 4 to 3 to approve a new policy on books, speaking of which Branch Pass School Board, this also in the courier, gave final approval to a new library and instructional materials assailed by opponents' tantam onto censorship. Vote Tuesday night,
Starting point is 00:15:19 4 to 3. The sticking point appears to be a 25-day waiting period in which new library books must be listed prominently before becoming available for student use. Oh, this way so parents could actually take a look and see how much of the dirtbaggy LGBTQ porno book type stuff, you know, the one that Dwayne Yunker read on the house floor. Remember that one? They're making sure that parents could actually get a look at this, and that's controversial
Starting point is 00:15:49 because, as we well know, educating your children, parents have nothing to say. about that. Just pay the property taxes, both the school board into rubber stamp what the Oregon Department of Education does. That's what they're thinking, but yes, this is controversial, but at least it is in and there will be some public input there.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Anyway, that's some of the other news here. Trailblazers have been sold. Team will stay in Portland. I hate basketball. I understand people who like it, but hey, there you know, you'll still have your jailblazers to to watch. Yay.
Starting point is 00:16:27 You go to the phones here. It's Conspiracy Theory Thursday. Hi, good morning. Who's this? Bill, this is your brother, Brad, with the SLO. Brother Brad, how are you this morning? Good, buddy. You know, why is it, you know, the conspiracy is Thursday? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Why is it with public funding? It supports a lot of stuff you and I don't support. Sure. And here I am. I'm 70. I still work because I need to survive. And some of my tax money goes to stuff that I didn't, you know, I didn't raise my kids with that. I made, they're both independent and they're living their lives.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And I'm just amazed at how federal or local, long as this public, they just hand out money to all kinds of stuff. All sorts of agendas. I know it just, it just amazes you. It gets you really irritated. Now, I guess we're talking about, like I mentioned, oh, federal, $120 to pay each child when school is closed in the summertime. It's like, what would happen if public schools disappeared? Your kids wouldn't eat?
Starting point is 00:17:40 Really? Well, it's like being a senior, and I'm on Medicare, constantly getting pitched for a certain type of supplement that ends up not costing me, as far as premium, cost me a lot out of pocket with deductibles and co-patient. But it comes with a food card. Oh, a food card, too. Oh, all right. And you're still working, aren't you?
Starting point is 00:18:11 Oh, yeah. And I will be till I'm dead. All right. I don't have an answer to that right now, but I'm with you. It's not that I want kids to be hungry, but I'm just like, what did we think? that parents are, that moms and dads are incapable of providing food for their kids. What do we get there? But anyway, hi, who's this morning?
Starting point is 00:18:32 Hello. Good mind, Bill. Hi, La Cresia. What's up? Good morning. Do you remember when William Casey said, ahead of the CIA said, we'll know when our disinformation campaign has worked when everything Americans know is
Starting point is 00:18:46 wrong? I don't know if that's ever been proven, but that is a pretty common Internet theme or meme. I've read that several places. I don't know if there's proof to that, but... Yeah, I know. It sounds like something he'd do, though. Even that has been gone from...
Starting point is 00:19:02 He did say it to, oh, we don't know if there's proof. You know, like, hey, that's just a conspiracy. No, he said it. But, you know what's amazing is just to listen to all the different things that truly we have been told is a lie. I mean, you listen to Dr. Cowan, there's no endoplasic reticulum, there's no goldie bodies. There's no DNA controlling. I mean, 20% has never been mapped out. Your radio, when I'm listening to the radio, it's not because the radio is producing you.
Starting point is 00:19:34 You're coming from a station elsewhere. And whether we're coming from our whole being is coming from a station elsewhere, you listen to, like you had a guest on talking about quantum entanglement. Well, when you understand what quantum entanglement, something Einstein tried to proof is wrong, but even proved it exists. When you look out at a mountain or a building, at times it's just particles, at times it's just vibration. You know, the problem is is that if everything is just vibration, that very well could be,
Starting point is 00:20:07 but it feels solid to us, though, all right? Yeah. Now, we're getting so esoteric. I mean, this is a great philosophical conversation. Now, is what we think of as life even, do we have oversawls? Let's say that instead of our soul, we have an over-soul that's running our body by remote control, and we're just essentially a soul-controlled meat sac, but not with the soul actually in the body. What do you think about that?
Starting point is 00:20:33 I've read claims of that. Yeah? Well, it's kind of interesting. Is there actually like a program future when you take a look at that woman, Barbara, who's a regular scientist, but her first experience was this autistic ladies that said, no, I'm going to get out. There's too many weird spirits in this hospital. And then she proceeded to tell her what her future was going to be like.
Starting point is 00:20:58 She was going to have just one child, a girl. Her husband was going to get the job in San Diego, but she didn't like. I mean, all these things she was able to tell her, how did she know this about this woman she had never met before? Things like that. That is just, yeah, very fascinating. And then you even get into, you know, the fact that we've been told there's Adams. There's no atoms. Well, I, you know, I'm disagreeing with you to a certain extent.
Starting point is 00:21:25 No, that's true. No, the thing is, though, you're one of these people that are now coming out, and I'm not saying there may be not be some point. There's no virus. There's no sickness. There's no. You know, you know, it's a flat earth. I mean, it's all these other things.
Starting point is 00:21:42 It needs to be pretty high level of proof to do, you know, to go all down that. maybe I guess the question is if we're not that then what are we okay lucretia I got a roll but I appreciate the call you always twist my brain around and I appreciate that okay thanks for twisting my brain let me untwisted and we are going to talk about
Starting point is 00:22:05 here after news we will have some more open phone here on conspiracy theory Thursday don't worry about it we will get to you but I'm going to be talking with Dr. Gilda Carl and she's a spokesperson for the international Council of Men and Boys. And we're going to try to get to the bottom of, why is it that Prague women seem to be the soldiers?
Starting point is 00:22:25 They are the useful idiots for all the most radical movements. What is it in many women? It tends to be more left-wing women than it is left-wing men. What does this? I'll talk about that coming up. When it comes right down to it, when we buy things, we want the best products, at the best prices, and the best service.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Of course, sellers always try to tell you that they're the best. Hughes Lumber has been selling lumber products for over 40 years in the Rogue Valley. So if you want to really know who has the best lumber deals, just ask a customer of Hughes Lumber. In Medford, on Crater Lake Highway, the customer's favorite choice. The Grants Pass School Board gave final approval
Starting point is 00:24:37 to a new library and instructional materials policy. Critics claim the policy is essentially censorship. The vote was four to three, but the board said they have the right to make sure library materials are not obscene, follow community values, and are age appropriate. The new policy bans books found to be pervasively vulgar, obscene, or pornographic. Jackson County Sheriff's Office says a rafter the disappeared Sunday near Dodge Park has been located alive. Starting point is 00:26:10 We're just going to call her Dr. Gilda. Dr. Gilda, I love it. Hi, Dr. Gilda. Welcome. Good morning. Morning. I got a few minutes with you. Wanted to bend your ear because you are a spokesperson for the International Council of Men and Boys.
Starting point is 00:26:26 And you are the author of Real Men Don't Go Woke. Well, there's a lot of non-real men, apparently given a look at the culture these days. Oh, yeah. That's why I wrote the book. Yeah, and you're hoping, I guess, this book is really sparking a movement to, proudly reclaim masculine identity and to be non-woke and to build a future where men will thrive. And I'm all over this, okay? Me too.
Starting point is 00:26:52 The question that I'm having for you, though, and this is, and I'm asking for you to look at your own sex here, why are so many and largely progressive women, why are they the ones that are all in on the absolute most insane, radical, nonsensical agendas that, that we term part of wokedom. I have to ask you. And I think as a woman, you should be able to answer this. You speak for all women, Dr. Gilda, this time. All right?
Starting point is 00:27:22 Not necessarily. Okay. I speak for the women who are normal. I'm not speaking for the crazies on the left side that have been off the wall saying horrible things about men, having put men down, having canceled them, having done and terrible things so that men can't open their mouth. and men have become silenced. We are finding that men are four times more likely to commit suicide than women are.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Testosterone levels are down. The Y chromosome is thinning out over time. Men are more depressed. Men are more lonely. And we have got to do something to reclaim masculinity. There's just no question about it. Is it actually the lack of masculinity or the denigration of masculinity that is triggering, for lack of a better term, the depression and the lack of family formation, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:28:21 In other words, it's not a thing, no. Well, let's just understand what's happened. A man walks out of the door, and he's immediately termed toxic, and so where does he go? I mean, he doesn't want to be called toxic. He doesn't want to lose his job. He doesn't want to speak out and be pushed down, and therefore, he silences himself. Now, many of these men have gone to the left and become woke.
Starting point is 00:28:47 So they're not speaking their mind. They're not talking about what's really important to them. They're not sharing their grievances. And women are complaining, well, the man doesn't even talk. My man doesn't even talk. And the result of that is, you know, you internalize things, enough, enough, enough. And then finally, like a warm bottle of champagne, the cork popped. and that's what happened to Will Smith, and I use all celebrity names and people that everybody is familiar with.
Starting point is 00:29:18 And I talk about how so much is internalized until the body can't take that anymore. And so then they do things that are really toxic, like slapping Chris Rock at the major event that we all watch. Mm-hmm, yeah. You have to be able to communicate. This book deals with Sun Tsu's The Art of War as my base, and I draw from that. Sun Tzu from 4 BC talked about communication rather than combat. You only go to combat, well, and this is the last thing you possibly can do to get your points across. But you've got to be able to communicate.
Starting point is 00:30:05 case. And what's happening is that the far-left women, the crazies, have squashed men to the point that they are, they're just not talking. And it's internalized and that's unhealthy. Dr. Gilda, once again, spokesperson for the International Council of Men and Boys, and her book is Real Men Don't Go Woke. What is it, though, there, now, I mean, George Orwell, of course, even recognized that in 1984, of course, that was a work of fiction, kind of, in many ways, that progressive women have long been seen as many, well, these are where the radicals were most going to come from, coming from the ranks of women. And why is it that women seem to hold more sway or feel more comfortable?
Starting point is 00:31:02 with the most radical of progressive movements. And I don't know, is it something as easily as explainable as they tend to be more risk-adverse? And so they would tend to naturally go more with a system that says, we will take care of you. I don't know if it's something that's simple or not. We're not sure of that. Women in general are nesters. They listen to what their friends say. They want to be like their friends.
Starting point is 00:31:31 They want to be included. And in order to be included, they will be willing, unfortunately, to mouth things that they may not even be believing in. But they are going to be part of that group. Now, this served women well sometimes during a breakup, during some grieving time or whatever, they reach out to their friends. We know that women can do this. Men don't do that all that well. And if anything, a guy will go and have drinks. and go find other women as replacements if he breaks up with one woman.
Starting point is 00:32:08 Yeah, well, men tend to replace women recover, right? That kind of thing. That's exactly right. And women need their friends and depend upon their friends. But what we have seen lately, and all you have to do is look at the latest genes problem that we had in the latest advertisement with Sydney that we've seen. Yeah, yeah, cute girl in American Eagle jeans and all of a sudden, you know, white supremacy, white supremacy Hitler.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Yeah, like, huh? Cute white girl. We haven't seen a lot of white girls out there for a long time. I didn't know there were any white girls left, especially on television commercials, but, you know. Well, you see, now this has happened, and who is putting her down? All these other girls. This is insanity. how women will turn on other women.
Starting point is 00:33:05 For what reason? I mean, they are reaching out to them for friendship, and yet they will turn on each other when somebody reaches the top and they haven't. I only have a couple minutes left with you here, Dr. Gilda. I have to get you back for another longer thing, but I want to at least grab you for a bit. You know, we're looking at this real dichotomy,
Starting point is 00:33:30 especially in Generation Z. The young men are wanting to reclaim masculinity and the young women are, if anything, just as crazy, if not the craziest of the grouper right now. How do we get those two talking at some point and finding some balance because otherwise we're not seeing a future generation being born out of this group?
Starting point is 00:33:54 If not for communication, where are we going? We've got to be able to talk to each other. We've got to be able to talk with each other. We've got to be able to look at each other and say, I'm not calling you names. I'm not putting you down. I'm not squashing you. But I encourage you to speak your mind.
Starting point is 00:34:15 And women have got to make it a safe base for men to do this. So in my book, Real Men Don't Go Walk. I talk about how men have got to develop. develop a spine that shows and speak their mind, but women have got to give them a safe space for them to do so without any ramifications. I can see where the challenge is going to come because most of we guys were not the best communicators naturally. No.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Agreed? No. No. Absolutely not. So we've got to make some changes in our culture, and the time is now. With all the suicide that we're seeing between men and boys, no. It has to be now. Real men don't go woke.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Dr. Gilda Carl, spokesperson for the International Council of Men and Boys. You have a website for the book here, Doctor? Yes, Dr.gilda.com. D-R-G-I-L-D.A. Easy one to remember. I'm going to have you back. I'd like to delve more into this, especially that communication thing between the sexes for sure. Ten before eight, this is the Bill Myers Show, KMED.
