Starting point is 00:00:00 The Bill Myers Show podcast is sponsored by Klausur drilling. They've been leading the way in southern Oregon well drilling for over 50 years. Find out more about them at Klausordrilling.com. We're going to love this. We're going to have a diner 62 quiz a little bit later this hour. But other than that, it's your phone calls on any kind of topic that could come to mind. A couple of things are kind of bubbling around my head this morning. First off, you think President Trump's going to be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat in today's conversation with Putty-Poot, Vladimir Putin, over in Alaska? the goal is to try to get a ceasefire, some kind of a ceasefire and a peace process moving.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Now, Zelensky is not involved in this one. And a lot of this sticking point is going to be that, and Trump himself has even admitted that a lot of this is going to be based on land swaps. Land swap, meaning that Russia will probably not be completely happy. And Zelensky will certainly not be particularly happy either. and I don't know. I mean, I know all we're doing is speculating right now. You hope that there be something.
Starting point is 00:01:04 It'd be great to not have to pour any more money down that Ukrainian rat hole. That is for sure. But the other way of looking at this, too, is Russia's winning the war. Arguably, militarily, Russia is in the driver's seat on this one. And I don't know how cooperative Vlad will be on this one. president trump can say hey you don't do you know do this you don't stop this we're going to put some more sanctions on you but russia because of sanctions in the past we kind of push them into the arms of communist china and india and various other people who aren't necessarily
Starting point is 00:01:41 getting along with us to the extent that we would like so what do you think if you have a take on that i'd love to take your call on this or anything else happening too i also have one here. I know at the Medford City Council meeting this week there's now being pushback. They're now getting some pushback to the plan to raise hotel motel taxes. It's 11 to 13 percent is what they would like to do. And we, the voters, if you're a resident of Medford, we get to vote on that later this year. And
Starting point is 00:02:12 then they would take the money to help it into a nice pot to get the Eugene Emerald's baseball team here building a $90 million dollar ball field and of course convention center hotel convention rooms i should say within a hotel and all this other and we have the hotel industry showing up at the city council and saying hey listen you know when you do this hotel motel tax it's supposed to be doing things to get more people in the hotels and motels not to buy or not to get a baseball team stadium down here and And in fact, the hotel representatives are saying that that wouldn't help actually get more people into the hotel motel. So that kind of tells you really what the financial side of having a hotel or I'm sorry,
Starting point is 00:03:05 having the hotel motel tax on the ball team in here. It'd be nice. But essentially, it's something that would be grinding more money out of people here. It would just be grabbing our entertainment dollars and instead of maybe having all sorts of, of Netflix and Amazon Prime, you'll go to the baseball team game in the summertime. I don't know. I'm being a little bit flippant with it right now. You think the hotel motel industry has something to say about this?
Starting point is 00:03:32 Plus, it'll also make our hotels, motels less competitive than, let's say, maybe staying in a motel or hotel in Granch Pass or Ashland or other cities that wouldn't have that. So that's relatively high. You know, you go from 11 to 13 percent. 11 percent isn't exactly low, right? We can talk about that. We can talk about other things on your mind, too. 77056633-770K MBD. Starting point is 00:07:13 Jackson County on 1067 K2994 AS and Ashland. Friday morning. We get the polka going, a little bit of Petitza, maybe a little bit of beer or red wine. Red wine, according to Dr. Aziz, who I talked to earlier this year, that was healthier. But I love the patisa. And for the Petitza, we go to Brad. Hello, Brother Brad.
Starting point is 00:07:35 How are you? You kick it off. Hey, you're so on top of it. I just was having a slice of Petitza in a can of Rainier beer. Oh, boy, Rainier beer. oh my gosh i'm kind of like i was depressed and all of a sudden i'm i'm in a great mood anyway what's you thinking about this morning brother brad what's up hey uh you know because we have similar ethnic background we could appreciate albanian the reason i bring it up
Starting point is 00:08:06 uh was talking to some buddies with the s lm we we would like to get um um um um um um um um um um the president to hires an Albanian consultant to deal with Putin. So how do Albanian consultants deal with putti? Well, they're like Italian, but they're more convincing. Oh. Okay. Is this, are we talking about sort of extra legal kind of, police actions. Is that what you're getting at?
Starting point is 00:08:48 Well, you know, sometimes it takes a little extra power to bring reality to somebody's mentality. All right. Now, do you think, though, do you think that it's possible to hammer out something there today? What does your gut tell you? So the good thing about Trump, he knows how to negotiate, is he going to get everything he wants. and he's already said this first meeting is just a sit down they're not going to do anything they're just going to talk
Starting point is 00:09:22 okay hey but at least they're talking that is important the one thing that I do know about Vladimir Putin no matter what you think about him he is as serious as a heart attack you'd agree with me on that right absolutely
Starting point is 00:09:36 and that's why I think bringing serious people Albanians are serious people okay i'll keep that in mind in case i ever run into any albanians in a back alley okay brother brad and if you're getting at some issues at the station you might want to consult an albanian an albanian duly noted enjoy your petita all right let me go to uh jerry jerry's here hello jerry you wanted to do something what did you want to talk about again jerry i forgot i didn't write that part down go ahead
Starting point is 00:10:10 Oh, kind of putting a kibosh on this gerrymandering. Oh, what is, well, there's gerrymandering in Texas. Well, they were calling it that. And with the redistricting, and now we have California wanting to possibly redo the gerrymandering to counteract Texas, right? Yeah, it's everywhere. No secret. But, you know, if you could, if you had to use. the zip code word lines to make your district correspond to those zip code lines.
Starting point is 00:10:50 You couldn't have this back and forth across the street. Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, well, you know. Well, the way that it works, though, is that, you know, I don't know if zip code lines or zip code districts would necessarily work for that, Jerry, not that I wouldn't like to see something like that. You could make it work. Well, you have to, the whole idea is that everything has to, however it is, like in Oregon's, in Oregon, we have to have, we have six congressional districts and all six have roughly the same amount of people in it.
Starting point is 00:11:28 That's how they end up dividing it and that why they do the gerrymandering and take a little bit, they'll take a few people from this little town and a little bit less from here. But what they did in the state of Oregon is that they're having Portland, the Portland metro area, which, of course, is filled with commies being a big part of all the democratically controlled districts, all the other ones outside of the second, right? So how do you think we could, you know, use zip codes to divide it up? A zip code represents a certain number of people, basically. And you use whatever number that is, divide it into six, because you get six zones. You could make it work. You just use the different borderline.
Starting point is 00:12:19 This way you couldn't make up idiot borderlines. You have to use the ones that are already there. Okay. All right, Jerry, I'll think about that. it. I'm trying to think of how that would be envisioned in real life. Appreciate the call. It is open phones. Find your phone Friday here. 7705-633. On we go to the next call. Hi, good morning. Who's his? Hey, Dr. Lucretia. Oh, Lucretia. Here it. Now, come on, you should have warned me that you were going to call because then I have to have. Brad has the polka. You have, you know, let the sunshine in, okay?
Starting point is 00:12:57 It's sunshine, yes. So in Bend, on I think it was the third or fourth, they had out of the blue hail and 16-mile-on-hour winds. Nobody talked about it. Because it's weather. I mean, it wrecked a lot of cars and just huge hailstones, like the size of golf balls. Yeah. And what I'm seeing all of the country is not the weather coming in from the West Coast, Florida. across. I'm seeing all of a sudden clouds
Starting point is 00:13:29 for me on this earth.mol school dot net website where all of a sudden they're probably like LBJ talking about using carbon black and that attracts the water molecules. It's dark. It just heats it up
Starting point is 00:13:45 and you can literally create rain overnight. All right. So when Greg Roberts calls me up and we talked this morning about the changing weather for this weekend, which is essentially a winter storm bringing air down here from Alaska into southern Oregon, which means we're going to see some rain, especially out in the, let's say, Josephine County and various other things.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Are you saying that none of this is ever naturally occurring and when we welcome the rain? And so at one time they're punishing us and the next time we are welcoming the rain. And what? Well, I kind of disagree because you go back four or five days, you're going to see that the actual jet stream is, it's literally. literally coming in and flowing, I'm going to go back there right now, and this is on the 13th. All right. How are they able to predict weather with reasonable accuracy, Lucretia, if all someone's doing
Starting point is 00:14:43 is pushing the earth-null, whatever thing, or the weather machine, the Grand Puba, Globalist Evil Kabah weather machine to make us do certain things? How do you end up predicting that then? well what do you mean predicting what i'm well no i mean if you're if you're claiming that everything is a is a man-made weather war control and there and there and it could be that we would most likely not be able to predict anything would we well you can see somewhat that what they're doing because like right now i'm what they are doing once again all i'm just saying who you know who are the they though you know if you're going to say that they are controlling it
Starting point is 00:15:25 There needs to be effort, not just observing the fact that, okay, we get hail the size of golf balls in bed. Stuff like that has happened. Stuff like that always happens. Tell me why the jet stream is not going across the country. What it's doing is going straight down the coast, and you can see these other lines where they literally are keeping it from coming on. You'll see extra strong winds, and it comes right up to the country to our west. I can't explain that because I'm not friends with the jet stream. Okay, but why would all of a sudden be doing it?
Starting point is 00:15:58 I mean, I'll see squares. I'll see straight lines. The earth is a very complex place, a complex organism, Lucretia. No, no. It's not going to avoid it. I mean, we know that even the trees call in the rain. When they cut all the trees down in Greece, it stopped raining there as much. Well, yeah, you cut all the trees down.
Starting point is 00:16:18 You're also removing part of the transpiration aspect of it. Yeah, but there's also. You forget, I mean, even the trees can call in the rain. Okay, the trees can call in the rain. So the trees are the friends of the jet stream that we're not? No, people can too. Remember, I told you Elvis Presley could change the weather. That's what he, this book reports, and I've heard other people say that the Indians definitely knew how to use the drums and send particles into the air.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Okay, well, all like, okay, you know, I could probably have this kind of a debate with the old day. here but all I would say then is that we need to find the right drums then okay if you're saying that we're being afflicted by the global weather machine we have to bring the right kind of drums in I appreciate the call or find Elvis and find out Elvis's a secret sauce for weather weather changing hi good morning who's this welcome hey come morning bill I got a very quick question sure when what time of day is the meeting supposed to start putting in Trump I, you know, I don't know off the top of my head. Let me take a look for that.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I just know it's today at some point. Why? What is it that is, uh, did you find interesting about it? Do you have a take on it? Yeah, I'm just saying, well, I'd like to know when, so I can anticipate the news blanking after the meeting's over. Oh, okay. What time are Trump and Putin talking?
Starting point is 00:17:47 Let's see, I'm trying to find that today. And I might be able to answer you on the fly here. I don't like to do. Trump, okay, 3 o'clock. It's 3 p.m. Eastern, which means 12 noon today. So it's going to be at 12 noon. It's 11 a.m. in Alaska. Okay? Thank you.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Thank you so much. Then you can anticipate the drama, the breathless reporting, the town hall, the CNN, the end of the world statements being made. Anyway, let me go to the next one. Hi, KMED. Good morning. this. Bill, happy Friday. It's your friend Brad. Hey, Brad. I'm glad to have you on. I just realized I'm running late. Can you hang

I know that some of the experts are talking about things that gold next leg up will be $4,000. They're figuring maybe some are saying $8,000 eventually in the next year or two because ultimately the currency in the United States,
Starting point is 00:21:18 despite everybody's best efforts is under strain. and there's lots of spending. Well, I don't know, one way or the other. I'm continuing to be someone that's thinking, it may be good to have some protect currency. I know the central banks are buying gold still every chance they get, and big money is too. Talk to Jay Austin and company, gold and silver buyers in Ashland,

Starting point is 00:22:07 Go ahead. Bill, what a great Friday. We've just got so much good news coming out all the time, especially on this good time rock and roll energy fantasy stuff that has to do with solar and wind and all this other nonsensical stuff that doesn't work. So out in Wyoming, of all places, they've got a proposed 163 megawatt solar good time rock and roll deal that has its main partner backing out of it. What country is this partner from, Bill? I will take a guess that it's China, is it? Well, all the equipment is made in China, but the actual partners based in Portugal for,
Starting point is 00:22:50 Pete's say it's it's Portugal but because but because of the subsidies that are being with withdrawn it doesn't make sense for the minute you know all all these good time rock and all subsidies are all vanishing and they're like oh wait a minute we can't afford to do this anymore well what's happening though is that the only thing which is propping up that industry is the subsidy deal and it doesn't pencil on its own I'll let you know me I've considered getting rooftop solar and maybe I will do that at some point. But there's this one guy that has just, you know, somehow got my phone number and has been calling me again and again and again. And I said, okay, I understand what you're trying to do because the subsidies are going
Starting point is 00:23:38 to be, you know, drifting away here in just a little bit. I understand this, but I just don't feel like doing a $20,000 debt thing on the house right now. I would rather just pay my power bill for the time being right be be be careful because you know what's happening in california is is california instead of the the power company having to uh but pay or buy all that surplus power from you at par now it's at a discounted rate and the discounted rate doesn't make the system paid the way that it used to that could be now like i said if if people have those systems i understand why they do it they make the decision for them but yeah a lot of this has been uh been getting pushed from the from the incentives now that doesn't mean we don't have problems now you talked about
Starting point is 00:24:24 Portugal you know the reporting came out finally about what caused to that huge Spanish uh you know remember the Spanish power grid going down for a while it was just and it was just down and it was well now they know that that it was due to the instability from a massive solar farm the gosh where would I see that I forget where the reportage was but it had to do with the frequency the 60 cycle, I guess over in the European Union, it would be 50 cycle AC, was not in sync. And it caused enough of an oscillation and instability on the grid that it took the whole thing down, Brad, took it all down. And this is causing problems. We're seeing these kind of problems cropping up all over the world because instead of having big baseload generating facilities that keep things in sync and working well, they're decentralizing it with a bunch of.
Starting point is 00:25:18 of intermittent and chaotic solar and wind farms everywhere it's not working and i know oregon's all in on this organ's all in on right yeah absolutely bill how long do you think it'll take before oregon decides that maybe carbon is not so evil they're they're real close to finding out because the only thing that made this work as you correctly pointed out was these subsidies and these subsidies are going away fast faster than water on a hot grill And the other thing that's exposing is that what you have is you have American rate payers paying these subsidies to out of country entities. So really, they're sucking money out of the United States that's going to these subsidy holders, which doesn't make any sense in the first place. So this is one of those deals where do you remember that one line in the line, the witch in the wardrobe where they say the snow is melting?
Starting point is 00:26:17 You know, the snow is melting as a metaphor for things you're starting to get put right again. I'll tell you, for people that are watching this, this good time rock and roll. When you say good time, rock and roll, what do you mean by that, Greg? Or I'm saying Brad, rather. Yeah, these subsidies have to be in place because none of this makes any sense in market-based economy. In other words, if these solar panels and if these wind pylons could make any money, money, they'd be building them right and left because they actually made sense. They don't. All right. I'll take that to the bank. I appreciate it. The other thing I will say is that
Starting point is 00:26:57 the Trump administration is doing quite a bit to de-unionize the federal workforce, or taking, especially taking union representation out of workforces that are involved with government intelligence. So you're right. There's a lot of good news coming out of the Trump administration. We'll see if we get some more. Good morning. Hello, Jerry. How you doing? Welcome. Yeah, I think you got Steve. Oh, Steve, I'm sorry. Steve, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:27:23 That's all right. Yeah. My Facebook feed was just been blowing up from a lot of my leftist friends regarding some new conspiracy porn around Trump and Elon messing up the last election. Oh. And I... What are the claims being made? Can you briefly go down there? Oh, it is a rabbit hole.
Starting point is 00:27:47 They are in-depth and long having to do with electrical companies that usually make things like surge protectors, now adding things that go into vote-counting machines and Elon buying shares in these surge-protector companies to change how they work. And it is just, it's complicated, it's as complicated as the Russia hope. Oh, it's kind of the left-wing version of QAnon, right? Yes, that's exactly what it is. I just had a cat using my garlic planter as a litter box. Oh, no. Yeah, you know, I would have thought that they would have stayed away from litter.
Starting point is 00:28:28 I know this has nothing to do with the left wing version of QAnon, but, you know, I would have thought that most cats would avoid a garlic patch. Well, it's ready to be harvested. It's pretty much dry, and it's in a raised bed, so it's no weeds in it. a lot of hermeculite. Yeah, do you have a bunch of strays in your neighborhood because I don't know what's happened in my east side neighborhood, but a lot of cats have been dumped off. And we're seeing a rise of a lot of strays coming to our backyard
Starting point is 00:29:03 because they know that Linda lives there. And Linda, of course, will feed the neighborhood strays that come up because we don't like to see anything showing up skinny and starving. That's just the way we are. I have three daughters, and this is one of my daughter's cats, and I can't get too mad at it because it just caught a bowl in my garden. So it's doing its job. Oh, okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Well, I don't know about that, but what happens here is that a couple of the cats have started using the middle of the yard, and they would try to dig it up. They haven't used the flower beds yet, but disappointing. I had hardware cloth around the raised beds to keep. the cats out, but I took it down because it's ready to harvest. Oh. Well, I would wash that, well, I would wash that, that garlic really. Oh, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Oh, yeah. Good. All right. Thanks, Steve. Yikes. Yeah. Yeah, what is that tang that's in that garlic year, dear? You can see it.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Yeah, we'll avoid the raw garlic for sure. 19 before 9. I'd say, use a lot of good garlic over at Diner 62. Well, I love the food that's there. Last weekend, another amazing, amazing omelet. Today is, well, clam chowder Friday. They're going to be doing that. They have the other breakfast specials, the 1115 hamsteak, all these sort of things.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And you know something? You could win a $20 gift certificate to next. All you have to do is win the Diner's 62 Real American Quiz. We have a great question for today. Starting point is 00:31:51 From the KMED News Center, here's what's going on. The tourism industry is pushing back against a plan by the Medford City Council to raise the lodging tax to pay for an expensive minor league baseball stadium in Medford. Hoteliers argue that the lodging tax is meant as a means to increase hotel stays, which is something they say would not happen with a minor league baseball team. The current Eugene Emerald's baseball team is trying to relocate to Medford after Eugene voters scuttled an expensive bond measure for a new stadium there. The Emeralds also lobbied the Lane County Board of Commissioners to give them a chunk of that county's lodging tax to help pay for their new stadium. If you're planning on buying a new electric vehicle, do it sooner rather than later.

Starting point is 00:33:56 going on right now at Kia Medford. Click kiametford.com. It's the Bill Myers Show on KMED, Southern Oregon's place to talk. Oh no. Diner 62. closed temporarily here because of the power failure. It's the thing that screwed up Highway 62 and 140. Oh, no. What am I going to do here? I mean, I don't really have my breakfast come in. But it will come back.
Starting point is 00:34:24 It really will come back. Hopefully they'll get that open and get it rolling. But we're still playing for a Diner 62 Real American Quiz. Let me go to Vicki. Hello, Vicki. Good morning. Vicki. We're talking about...
Starting point is 00:34:37 Number one. what's oh you hate being number one huh okay well let me put my smart hat on today and maybe i can get it okay hopefully you are not disappointed denver colorado you know remember you know rocky mountain high colorado you know the john denver stuff right well denver's the mile high city but it doesn't even come close to ranking among the highest elevation towns and cities in the u.s in fact the top entry on the list is twice as high as Denver. The highest incorporated town in the United States, Alma, Colorado, 10,578 feet. Boy, that's thin air, right? Yeah. Yeah. Now, Alma only has 296 residents, according to the 2020 census in 1998. The town gained unfortunate notoriety for the Alma rampage when a local man ran amuck with an earth mover too. Okay. Now, in what state, though, Vicky, is the highest town in the United States?
Starting point is 00:35:38 east of the Mississippi. We're talking east of the Mississippi. Is it North Carolina? Is it New Hampshire? Is it Maine, West Virginia, or Vermont, the highest state, east of the Mississippi? Can you give those to me one more time, Bill? I'm sorry. Sure. North Carolina, New Hampshire, Maine, West Virginia, or Vermont. I'm going to say Maine. You're going to say Maine. I would have picked Maine, too. And I would have also lost.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Oh, I think so sorry. All right. Now, Terry is going to be here. I don't know if Terry's going to win or not, but we're going to talk something with him later. But Terry, so North Carolina, New Hampshire, Maine, West, no, I'm sorry, no, forget, scratch, Maine. North Carolina, New Hampshire, West Virginia, or Vermont, highest city in the United States, east of the Mississippi. what do you say West Virginia
Starting point is 00:36:39 West Virginia I would have thought that Blue Ridge Mountains no it's not that either hold on though because I'll bring it back and talk to you
Starting point is 00:36:48 about something different so it's not West Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains kind of funny that John Denver is saying about both of those right Dan's here hello Dan
Starting point is 00:36:58 go ahead Good morning New Hampshire you're thinking New Hampshire yeah is it New Hampshire and No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:37:09 I am so sorry. Let's go to Logan. Hello, Logan. It's either North Carolina or Vermont. What do you say, Logan? Let's go with the Tar Hill State, North Carolina. North Carolina. You're a win.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Yes. Rocky Mountains dominate the high towns in the west, but the high country of the Blue Ridge in North Carolina, Beach Mountain, highest town east of the Mississippi, 5,5006. And not only is Santa Fe, New Mexico, the highest state capital in the United States, it's also the oldest founded in 1610 as part of the Spanish Nueva, Mexico, Santa Fe, 7,000 feet in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo Mountains. With rich Corinthian leather, rich Corinthian leather, anyway, population around 85,000, Santa Fe by far the biggest city in America, that's 7,000 feet or higher.
Starting point is 00:38:03 and Logan once 9 or 62 reopens, you can go, okay? Hold on. Thank you, Bill. All right. All right. Now, hang on. Don't go anywhere. Let me go to Terry. Terry, wanted to bring you on because you wanted to talk about the stuff we were talking about with
Starting point is 00:38:17 solar, rooftop, whatever the thing might be, and what are you telling me? Well, solar has a limited lifespan, but generators are mechanical and easy to fix. Now, you go with a
Starting point is 00:38:33 generator, you can supply it a different way. If you have natural gas or propane something at the house, you can tap that line and power your generator. That is true. There are many multi-fuel generators available right now. I even have a generator I purchased recently, which is propane and gasoline. Works great. Really, I love it. Well, then you've got probably a small generator, but you can supply the whole house with a standard generator. And they make some pretty big ones. What I'm kind of curious about is that I've thought about I don't have natural gas at my house right now, but it'd be very easy to get it.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Back to Vista always comes by every now and then says, hey, would you like to get it? And I thought about doing that. And I've almost thought about doing it while you still can. Have you ever considered that? That might be what we're looking at, Terry, that if you don't get natural gas right now, they're just kind of screw you because the state is so anti-natural gas or anti-carbon sort of thing that they would rather that their people freeze and throw everybody on the main grid. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:39:39 How do you think that'll play out? You can't trust the state whatsoever. So you've got to depend on yourself. If you can get something put in for a reasonable price now, it's a good backup. Yeah, that's kind of what I'm looking at it too, multiple fuels in order to, you know, be cool and or warm, as the case might be. Appreciate the call, Terry. Thanks for that. Let me get Logan's. I've got to talk with Logan, and then I'll talk with you, too. 770563. Open phones. American Rancher Garage. Hi, this is Dwayne at American Renter Garage. Starting point is 00:42:14 weigh in a bit on solar and the subsidies and what with a Texas angle? Is that what I recall? Right? Yeah, it's actually the windmill angle. Oh, okay. And quite frankly, what they do is, I mean, if you drive by windmill farms, a lot of times you'll see a lot of them not turning. And we've had these for quite a few years.
Starting point is 00:42:37 And only one time in the history of over like 15 years have they gone over the minimum generation. So in other words, what's happening is the subsidies. If they generate too much, then they don't get the subsidies. Oh. That sounds kind of weird, doesn't it? Yeah, because if they would just let them go, they would be more efficient, in my opinion. So there are all sorts of perverse incentives, is what you're saying, within the renewable energy world? Yeah, that's what it appears to be to mean.
Starting point is 00:43:13 Huh. Now, if I recall correctly, the standard operating time or the, what do they call it power factor or how much the generating factor that you get out of a typical windmill, isn't it like 30, 35% of its capacity is normal? It's kind of what you normally build for. So you can say that you have a one megawatt windmill, but to really get one megawatt of power, you'd have to have three windmills. Is that about the way it works most places?
Starting point is 00:43:43 I'm not sure on that. All right, Ed. That I do not know. All right. Hey, Ed, I appreciate the call. Thank you very much for that. 770563. We only got to be a few minutes.
Starting point is 00:43:55 left here and I wanted to touch on a few emails of the day and I better get to that so let me pull this up and hopefully my computer keeps working and it is all right who all right emails of the day and those are sponsored by Dr. Steve Nelson and Central Point Family Dentistry.com and if you don't have dental insurance no problem they have a dental plan there very affordable they could really enjoy it and it pays better benefits than insurance has a better cost too i think you like that find out more central point family dentistry dot com it's right next to the mazadlan mexican restaurant freeman way in central point and i have you know for some reason lucretia is stirring the um the imagination this morning betty says bill does lucretia have
Starting point is 00:44:45 anyone to talk to besides you i'm asking for a friend just for fun how about she take some classes on weather and learn a few things about how the wind works going over the rocky mountain best thing possible would be to go to Arizona and check out a few reservations and they'll teach her the rain dance Betty that that makes me laugh hey I have great affection for Lucretia though Dale says Bill I can't handle the reasoning anymore with Lucretia needs to realize who is in control over this universe and it ain't her nor the idiots she's been reading the writings of Dale I appreciate the email like I said we're being kind to people we don't always agree on things but
Starting point is 00:45:25 David says, Bill, I keep saying it. Lucretia is the best comic relief going. Start beating those drums, Bill. Dave writes me this morning. Bill, Ukraine will be like Hungary, 1920. The Treaty of Tri-Anon, let's see, Hungary session of 70. Oh, you're thinking that it's going to be like Hungary. Hungary ceded 78% of its land.
Starting point is 00:45:53 sorry Zelensky it's a political map four or six regions or what get over it hmm all right Dave it's good to look back at our history there the way I'm looking at it though is that yeah you could talk about
Starting point is 00:46:10 was it right for Putin to go in there etc etc I know we can we can have those arguments though Ukraine does not have nuclear weapons Russia does Ukraine does not have a big military Russia does. Well, there's a reason why Russia is winning this right now.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Okay. Which writes me, Bill, this was actually one from conspiracy theory. Thursday, he says, Bill, the service industry is quite organized in the east. My sister-in-law told me that Obama's chef was oft on Martha's Vineyard because he was going to write or wrote a tell-all book. No tinfoil had here, but it makes perfect sense. It could be.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Dale writes me, Bill, your conversation yesterday can be answered and is answered by the first few chapters of Romans. St. Paul wrote that what is and has caused us all to go off course. It really amounts to a lack of respect for the creator and the fear of his authority and power. He has to this point withheld his rightful wrath against humanity. There is no left and right there. And if we continue to go further wrong, as time goes on, on for us. There is no time in the creator's mind and energy. It is
Starting point is 00:47:27 eternal. His view is of all time. Yeah, this is about how the left for the most part is not into any kind of authority except its own, right? Fair enough. Great weekend. We'll talk again Monday. Stephen Westfall roofing is growing. Now proudly serving Brookings, Gold Beach,
