Starting point is 00:00:00 The Bill Myers Show podcast is sponsored by Klausur drilling. They've been leading the way in Southern Oregon well drilling for over 50 years. Find out more about them at Klausurrilling.com. 88 on Saturday. Interesting times out there in the market. Stocks, of course, are looking a little bit better today. Physical gold and physical silver, still looking pretty good. It gave back from the all-time highs.
Starting point is 00:00:21 They were like all-time highs, or not the all-time high for silver, but it was an all-time high for gold the other day. Came back a little bit. I haven't checked it this morning. But one way or another, the scramble for real things in a world full of paper promises. I think it's what you're looking at here now. The statistic that I quoted yesterday, as I was also talking about the recognized experts, and that's Jay Austin and Company, Golden Silver Buyers, and Ashland, 1632, Ashland Street, and Ashland,
Starting point is 00:00:48 at 6th and G in downtown Grants Pass. I want to be more specific about this. I was talking about who's actually been buying gold. And it has been the big boys, the big boys, the central banks, the ones that are trying to keep, the plates spinning in the world's interlocking welfare state collapse, I guess, is kind of what's going on there. Central banks now have decided to buy more gold. They own more gold than they now own treasuries.
Starting point is 00:01:16 They've stopped buying United States debt, and they're now buying gold. And they're looking at something which is considerably more safer, I think, is why they're doing it is it's a real asset. Silver by the United States has now been declared. A strategic, a key asset now that is necessary. They're going to be trying to get more of that, but yet there's limited supply. So if you're looking to protect some wealth, the big boys are going into the physical gold and the physical silver world. And I know that we little schmose tend to sometimes wait until it's too late.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Well, it's not too late right now. If you're looking to sell and or buy, talk to the recognized experts in Ashland and Grants Pass. Jay Austin and Company, gold and silver buyers, and see if that would work for you. the good people, been trading with them for years. Fortune Reserve.com. That's fortune reserve.com. Starting point is 00:02:13 It's a scary time for me because it is open phones for the final hour of conspiracy theory Thursday. Scoobestee, looking at me through the window. He's smiling, he knows. 7705633-770 KMED. email bill at bill myershow.com. We'll go over some of those emails of the day, too, as we continue a bit in. But before we get into some of the topics du jour here, I wanted to share some good news, a couple of good news stories. Although the first one is good news about some allegedly dirtbaggy people who now find themselves in Jackson County Lockup this morning,
Starting point is 00:02:50 KDRV and others reporting that the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, big, big, bus yesterday. Five suspects, 39 felony charges. Now they are felony charges. They're not convictions. But they ended up taking in Kevin Bratton of Eagle Point, 46-year-old, 10 felony counts. Shale Pagel, 34, arrested in Ashland, five felony counts. David Lubina, another 40-year-old, taken into custody during a traffic stop in White City, six felony counts. Brandon Matlock, a 39-year-old, arrested in rural Eagle Point, nine felony counts. And Margarito Banuelos, a 19-year-old detained in Medford, seven felony counts.
Starting point is 00:03:37 This is child exploitation. And we have Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team also reporting that Eric Rowe, a 45-year-old currently in custody in Missouri, and he's going to be hauled out to Oregon and extradited. He's facing a couple of additional charges of encouraging the production of explicitly of explicit materials, rather, involving minors. So these are, this is not good activity, but it is good activity that these people have been taken in.
Starting point is 00:04:07 They will have a day in court, and these are just charges, but yikes, that there's a lot of sorted perves out there that I'm okay seeing law enforcement getting involved and getting to work on that kind of stuff. That's good news. Another piece of good news, and this is on the political scene here, this was reported in Heritage Foundation's Daily Signal. The left wing has lost some funding, a lot of funding. I want to kind of dig into this one so you know about it because I've talked with Scott Walter over at Capital Research Center, which is the investigative think tank.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I might have to get him back on about this. I have a feeling he would have good things to say about this. but remember arabella we've talked about arabella on this show off and on and arabella is a um a shadowy a shadowy i guess uh political action money launderer basically a big big spout of money of rather dark money that uh is funding a lot of um of left wing BS in this country Well, What Heritage is reporting this morning, and I think this is a great bit of news story, this summer, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation secretly began the process of withdrawing from its longstanding partnership with Arabella Advisors, a central hub of the left's dark money network. Bill and Melinda Gates pulling out of this. We're talking about a massive amount of money.
Starting point is 00:05:49 This news was first reported by the New York Times. but it could be sending a bunch of shockwaves through the political world because the Gates Foundation isn't just a minor side hustle as they're reporting here in the Daily Signal. It is the largest private foundation in the world. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Endowment standing at 77 billion at the end of last year and it spent 102 billion since it was created and it gave out $8 billion last year alone,
Starting point is 00:06:21 and with a B. So a lot of bad political stuff gets bought when you have the Gates Foundation involved with Arabella. Now, Bill Gates, the founder, of course, Microsoft, he used this foundation to forward many of the left-leaning elites preferred causes, contraception, global development, vaccines, and while a lot of these causes align with the left, he's not embraced an outwardly activist look like George Soros or the eBay founder or another Swiss billionaire. I can't pronounce the name. Was it Hansorg Wiss? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:01 But the Gates Foundation is pulling out of Arabella. And I think this is great news because it doesn't just represent a loss of billions of dollars a year in cash going into Arabella, but a loss of respectability in clout because Arabella has been drawing more scrutiny as an engine of leftist political activism. So there's some good news, and I think that was some great news to be able to report on that. A bit of a teeter tottering over in the left world thing. Money, the mother's milk of politics, and dark money, even more of their favorite, right?
Starting point is 00:07:36 17 after 8, 770563, open phones, conspiracy theory Thursday. You heard a good one lately? Tell me about it. This is the Bill Meyer show. Southern Oregon 3, KMED. This is News Talk 1063, KMED. And you're waking up with the Bill Myers Show. 77056633.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Heard a good one for Conspiracy Theory Thursday. You want to dive into that? Hmm, 770KMED. A couple of questions we were posing a little bit earlier, a couple of stories. And I still think there's some meat on the bone here. Pacific Power ended up putting out this brand. new email, I think they sent it practically to everyone, and I had a couple of friends that
Starting point is 00:08:21 ended up forwarding them to me. And they're starting their new program here to shut or take control of your heating and or air conditioning. They're going to do this. And it was being painted as something, hey, you know, you're going to help us on the grid be more effective. And the way this coolkeeper ends up working is that they would put a little dongle of some sort or whatever it is, they probably come over to your house, and then
Starting point is 00:08:49 they would install it, and then when Pacific Power is running short on electricity, they cut off your compressor. Now they said in the news release that, well, you know, we'll keep the fan running so that you'll remain comfortable. Now, this is about once again managing decline in the state of Oregon, isn't it? That's how I read this, because I would would love to see something coming out of Pacific Power that is talking about, hey, you know, we're adding a few, you know, hundreds of megawatts of base load power, power which is on all the time. We're building a power plant here, an actual power plant.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And when I say an actual power plant, I'm not talking about solar or wind because those power plants only work when the wind blows. And the sun's shining. That's just it. Unless you pair it with very expensive batteries, too, which, of course, is the other. you know, keen thing that they're trying to get us to all pay up for. But since they don't have that and everybody's starting to run out of power, you're not always going to have another state that's going to have excess power because of the decarbonization sort of deal.
Starting point is 00:10:02 They're coming forward and they're saying, okay, what I'm going to do is put the dongle in your air conditioner, your window unit or else would go over to your heat pump. And then when we're running a little short on power, we're just going to cut the compressor. The fan will keep blowing. You're kind of being faked out that something's still being done. And then when there's enough power, they'll say, or maybe what they'll do, they'll kind of have rolling blackouts of air conditioner or heat pump compressors, you know, as they need it.
Starting point is 00:10:28 And so they'll kind of spread the pain around. And my question for you is that, do you think it's a good idea? And in exchange for giving up control of your thermostat, they'll give you $30 in summertime bill credits. So they'll give you a credit of $30. Is that worth it? Now, I don't know if it's $30 a month. It appears just to be $30 in bill credits. I don't know if it's $30 a month for this one.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I don't think it is, but maybe maybe I should get that email out and check it out. But what do you overall think about that? Do you like to turn it over control of that and letting Pacific Power being at the tender mercies of Pacific Power for keeping your cooling or heating on? Let me go to the phones. It is conspiracy theory Thursday. it's good to have you on hi good morning who's this hey bill it's uh deplorable patrick i heard you i heard you say this was the high risk part of your program and so i thought maybe it should not be for no reason okay i heard i heard a i heard a good one the other day but
Starting point is 00:11:31 i forgot it but thankfully i remembered another one do you know why helicopter pilots do not take vitamin C? No, I don't. Hell, I'm not going to live that long anyway. Oh, that's bad. That's a bad pilot dad joke, isn't it? Yeah, well, that's all I got for you. I could have come up with anything worthwhile.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I might have done that. Okay, well, I always appreciate that. A deplorable, Patrick, let me ask you, though. Are you a Pacific Power customer? Well, yeah, I'm sub-letting from somebody. I pay them and they pay the bill. All right. Would you be okay with Pacific Power in order to keep the grid healthy
Starting point is 00:12:19 being able to turn your heat or cooling on and off? I would not because I don't approve of anything. This whole thing is designed to diminish you and weaken you. The weaker you are, the easier it is for them to take you over. And that's their plan, and that's one of the reasons just among them is why they want your guns, because they're going to violate you. They're going to violate you every way they can once you get you weak enough. Yeah, my take on this was like managing the decline rather than actually increasing the resiliency of the grid,
Starting point is 00:12:51 because what they're doing is managing shortages, is what they're talking about. Well, then, why don't you actually find a way, which is like, you know, Pacific power, meaning that your mission should be to actually come up with baseload power, real power, power, power which is available at all times not just when the sun shines of the wind blows and that's that's how i'm looking at it i would just suggest one word changing one word they're not managing shortages they're engineering shortages engineering okay engineering shortage that's why they that thing about the boardman power plant they shut it down and dismantled it that was what i was hearing anyway Oh, they actually took it down because it was kind of mothballed up there for a while.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I haven't heard the latest. I haven't heard the latest either. I heard they were planning to dismantle it. So maybe I'm not on track there. All right. Did I ever tell you the story about going out to the first solar power plant, Patrick? Did I ever tell you about that? It was 1980, and I was a young DJ and also a news guy at K-I-O-T in Barstow, California.
Starting point is 00:13:58 And a few miles out of Barstow, I think it was Daggett. Daggett, and they had solar one, which was the first, from what I recall, first commercial solar power plant that they put in there. And it had, it was in the middle of the desert, and it had hundreds and hundreds of heliostats, these mirrors on little gimbals that would catch the sun, and then it would reflect it into a big collector in the middle of it, and it would boil water or a mixture, some salt, type of solution and generate steam and they would generate power you know with that and it was really cool unless you were a bird that flew in between the beam then you'd just be incinerated
Starting point is 00:14:42 you know how that goes and uh it was um i remember when they brought this up and they were saying that this was going to be a a big deal it was the first iteration of it here but you know what it was great about that particular plant which seems to be missing from all the other solar plans at this point here, Patrick, is that it had an underground storage tank where it would take heat from the day and store it and then keep the plant running at nighttime, which seems to be everything that solar plants don't do these days. And this thought it was interesting. I just remember that.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Oh, yeah. Well, I did hear, see some depictions of that kind of system, and it had been quite a while ago, so I didn't know if they were going to follow through with it or not. But it sounded good, at least it sounded good, but it didn't work out so good, right? Well, it must not have been as economical as they thought. But, of course, any test, any test bet is not going to be all that economical. You've got to figure out the ins and outs and get the wrinkles ironed out of it. But I think the main problem they have with it is that, you know, like is it the birds fly through it,
Starting point is 00:15:51 and then they would just be cooked in the sunbeams being reflected into the center. And so that wasn't so good. But I thought it was a cool concept, at least. 770563. Thanks, Patrick. Let me go to the next phone's here on Conspiracy Theory Thursday. Hi, good morning. Who's this?
Starting point is 00:16:07 Bill, it's your friend, Brad. Hey, Brad. Thank you so much for bringing up the Arabella deal because it's just another example of how DJT fights better with money than anybody else. Yeah, and by the way, if people just joined us here, what we were saying is that Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has pulled out of Arabella. is that influence peddling dark money group, which has been pushing mostly really hard left progressive policies in. And having the Bill Gates Foundation pull out and divorce from that, that's progress. It really is. What that is is that's unplugging $77 billion foundation from Arabella.
Starting point is 00:16:48 77 billion is what the Gates Foundation is, and that's just one of the feeders to the Arabella group. And how did Trump pull this off? first of all he had to know what was going on and how did he find that out he found out through doge doge is the one that found out the money money trail where all this money was going and then he said you know what we need to look at the tax exempt status of all of these so-called nonprofits that are handling all this money and where is all this money going because these nonprofits are definitely not taking an even-handed approach they're using taxpayer exemption to push political agendas And that's why, you know, go after them that way.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And that's not really what you're supposed to be doing with your nonprofit foundation, is it? That's exactly right, Bill. And that's why this coming election cycle, this coming midterm, is going to be the best opportunity for people who are non-leftist. Anybody who's a non-leftist, this coming midterm is the best opportunity that you're ever going to have for a level playing field on raising funding. because all of these really big dark money super packs that have been doing all this stuff, Trump is systematically unplugging them from the money grid. And that's where it needed to be done. I appreciate the call.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Thanks for letting us know, Brother Brad. We keep this rolling on Conspiracy Theory Thursday. Line 3, you are on. Good morning. And who's this? Good morning. My name's Randy. Hi, Randy.
Starting point is 00:18:12 What's up? And asking you're, to answer your question about that device to put on your electric, you know, to control it. First off, the answer is no, and here's why. You know, I do that monthly average, you know, pay. Oh, yeah. And it went up substantially this year. And I mean substantially. So it's enticing to think that I could get some of that.
Starting point is 00:18:37 But, you know, next year, I would anticipate it going up, and they would recover that whatever amount that they're going to, you know, give me and redone. They'll just get that back. So $30 in Bill credits for the Coolkeeper, joining Cool Keeper at Pacific Power, you don't think that's enough. That's not worthy then. I don't think it is. All right.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Hey, appreciate the call. Thanks for making it. 770, KMED. Let me go to next line here. Good morning. It's Conspiracy Theory Thursday. Who's this? Hi, Bill.
Starting point is 00:19:08 It's Vicki from the Applegate. Welcome back. Hey, Vicki. It's great to be back, too. Thank you. Good to hear from you. What's on your mind? Well, I kind of agree with the caller, Patrick.
Starting point is 00:19:18 In the sense that they're not, they're creating shortages. Last winter, we had many occasions where they turned the power grid off. So we had no power. Thank God, our only source of heat is a wood stove. So we don't necessarily need electricity for that. But I know a lot of people that can't burn, especially in town, you know, we're having a difficult time staying warm. and in the summer, you know, I noticed, really in the last two years, we've had more outages,
Starting point is 00:19:54 and they were doing them at night a lot of times when they think people aren't using their electricity. Well, that depends on whether it's winter or it's summer. Well, I had, I'll just give you an example of that. There have been a lot of those engineered public safety shutdowns that have been going on. I know in Jacksonville, one of our radio stations, probably two. took maybe three or four of those earlier in August when there was some windy storms and things. And just Monday night, Labor Day, it was Labor Day, and Monday night, right before I came back to work on Tuesday, we had a middle of the night shut off for about
Starting point is 00:20:33 half hour, 45 minutes, which was that, you know, that monitored. They sent something on the line and then they shut it down for a little bit. And then they brought it back down. But this is becoming very routine now. It is. And are they, when we're not having power to our homes for those, well, the ones that they were doing earlier last year were lasting, you know, five, six hours, you know, and sometimes it wasn't just at night. It was actually during sometimes the hottest part of the day or the coldest day of the winter. And we're still getting charged for that. They're not like taking that off of your bill. you're not getting charged for power that wasn't delivered, but on the other hand, you also
Starting point is 00:21:17 have lack of ability to use it. And then if you have generators, there's also the increased cost of going to propane, maybe you have a jackery or some type of battery storage that you're using to kind of make up the difference. But still, it's, you know, it's kind of yet another example of the crappification, if that's such a word, the crappification of society in which miserable customer service, miserable infrastructure, and the infrastructure is miserable because of a government policy and decarbonization, and you have to pay twice or three times in order to keep a civil infrastructure going in your home.
Starting point is 00:22:00 And this is a big growing problem, in my opinion. Well, I think they should, if you don't have to pay for when your power is off, then they should allow you an inconvenience. fee how about that okay hey that's not a bad idea yeah I think they should they should give you either a credit or or they should
Starting point is 00:22:23 you know send you money back or whatever they never send money back they everything a bill credit yeah it's a bill credit yeah well even for taking over your HVAC or air conditioner a compressor that's it they'll give you $30 in bill credits the part that I don't know yet though is if this is
Starting point is 00:22:41 just once a month or just once a summer. I'll try to find that out during the break, okay? It just seems like another way to try and control what you, you know, they want to control what you drive, what you eat. This is just another thing. And when you drive and when you eat, et cetera, et cetera, all right, okay, good point. Vicki, thank you.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Great hearing from you. This is the Bill Meyer show. If you're on hold, I'll get right to you, 7705-633. We want to make sure everybody's voice gets heard on Conspiracy Theory Thursday. From the KMED News Center, here's what's going to be. going on. This is the Bill Myers show on 1063 KMED. Got something on your mind? Give Bill a shout at 541-770-633-770 KMED. We are just loaded up right now on conspiracy theory Thursday because we're talking about Pacific powers, what do they call it, the coolkeeper device, which would take
Starting point is 00:23:34 control of your air conditioning compressor or your HVAC compressor and cut it off when there's a shortage of power. It's kind of like distributing, I guess, equally distributing the misery of shortages throughout this. And I got Tim, I got Tracy, I got Ron, and I want to get Matt Stone on here because Matt, I'm going to go to you first because you were in a presentation, Pacific Power came to you because you're with the what pressure point roofing and the stone heating and air. So they came in and what do they tell you, Matt, please. Of shortages? So what they came in told us is they really wanted to make sure that our technicians knew what the device was. So they explained what the device was, wanted to make sure that we didn't disconnect it and
Starting point is 00:24:17 throw it away. That's kind of funny on the face of it, wouldn't you say? Oh, it was. It was. I was like, okay, so what does this thing do? And so they explained that it turns only the compressor, it only turns the compressor off. it could be as short as five, typically it's in between five and seven minutes. It can be as long as 30 minutes, and that rotation of turning it off could be a couple of times a week.
Starting point is 00:24:50 They didn't get specific with how many days a week. They just said it could be a couple of times a week. You know, the point being, though, is that you're thinking that maybe there's a problem with your heating and air conditioning system when it's really, when your compressor is just really taking a siesta because pressure, because specific power is under pressure to keep the grid on, right? Isn't that it? Exactly. So, yeah, it's to alleviate pressure on the grid.
Starting point is 00:25:19 We express concerns about systems starting and stopping under the real heavy loads when those things will turn off. It does not get installed on systems that have the ductless, technology. So if you've got a variable or a variable speed compressor. So if you have one of those types of systems, they can't install them on those kind of systems because of the variable speed compressor. But if you've got your typical air conditioner, single stage, two stage, those devices can be installed. And it's a $30 a year credit, which to me, I'm like, that's not enough of incentive for me.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Yeah, that's like a rounding error, isn't it? Exactly, exactly. So, I mean, we have search protection devices that we install on systems, does not turn the compressor off during max loads or anything like that. It's simply protection from overvoltage coming into a system and burning things up, either the compressor or control boards or whatever. But these devices are specifically designed to shut off the compressor only. it doesn't shut off the condensing fan motor, it just turns off the compressor.
Starting point is 00:26:38 So you're getting faked out, you're getting faked out that it's running, but it's not really running. It's not really running. Most homeowners aren't going to know that their system's not running. They're just going to notice in that. And honestly, most of the time, five to seven minutes, you probably won't notice it. Yeah. But again, our concern when we talked with them was, what is this going to do to the longevity of a compressor, turning it off when it's under a max load, turning it back on when it's under a max load, what's that going to do to them.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Yeah. Hey, Matt, thanks for telling us about this, especially having been in the presentation. By the way, so it's only $30 bill credit for the entire year, right? That's what we understand as well. Yeah, all right. Hey, appreciate the call.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Thanks for that, Matt. And let me go to Tim in Merlin. I got Tim and Ron and Lake. We'll get you all on. Hang on, guys. We'll get you all on. Hello, Tim. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:28 How you doing? Hi, Bill. I'm doing fine. Great. I bought my house 40 years ago here. And I came with a wood stove, and I've been heating with my house with wood exclusively for the last 40 years. And then I got rid of my electric cooking stove, and my water heater, I disconnected, and I put it on-demand of propane. So my cooking is propane, my water heater's propane, and my dryer's propane.
Starting point is 00:27:54 But still, the bill still keeps climbing. And I've just got a small air conditioner, which I don't use a whole lot because they've got oak trees around. So you're nice and shady over in Merlin, right? Yeah, well, if you've got trees, it is. The thing is, if I had a big open house, I could put solar up there, but I just don't really like the idea of that, because you've got four months out of the year that are kind of substandard or non-existence. I see what the power company, not really the utility commissioners,
Starting point is 00:28:27 I think are appointed by the governor in Oregon. I think in Arizona, they are elected. and the governor has too much power. She's got control over the court system, utility commission, and so it's like the dictator-in-chief is ruling, and her little minions go along with it. Oh, yeah, and by the way, she's going to be, she's claiming charge of your vaccine injection, too.
Starting point is 00:28:51 That's the latest one. Oh, yeah, good look on that one. Okay, Tim, I appreciate the call. Look in Merlin. Let me go to, let's see, it is Tracy. Hello, Tracy. Good morning. Good morning from Washington State.
Starting point is 00:29:07 First off on it, you discussed a bit about the Ivan Paw solar plant, which used all the fancy mirrors. Yeah, now, the one I was at was called Solar One. I don't think that's the exact same plant, but it's the same principle with the mirrors focusing on a central receiver collector, right? Yeah, the Ivan Paw facility is just south of the California, Nevada border just south of Los Angeles. Vegas there. That facility, $2.2 billion, is being shut down. It will be converted to some sort of a solar assembly. And it was never profitable. And the reason why was, in part, is that sodium tower, liquid sodium tower, has to be kept liquid at night when there's not enough ambient heat. So you're throwing energy at it.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Oh. Keep the sodium. I didn't know that because I think that in solar one, which was the very first model, I think a smaller version of what you're talking about. It was a liquid sodium type of molten sodium sort of deal, and what they did, they had an underground tank that was filled with heat that was gathered in the day, and they would use it to run the generator at nighttime,
Starting point is 00:30:20 so it would generate power 24-7, maybe even enough to keep it hot up there, too, so maybe that was different from what Ivan Poe did. I don't know. Yeah, very possible. I'm also, I was a victim, let's call it, of the rate discount system back on the East Coast. Obviously, back there we have a much more capacitated grid, you know, with all the famous blackouts, you know, multi-state blackouts that have happened. And the problem is when it's 90 degrees or 95 out and the humidity's up, you know, 50, 60 percent, it's really rough.
Starting point is 00:30:56 And your system may not be running on compressor for, you know, a couple of hours. It's very conceivable when it is that stress. And so if you have a pet, maybe an elderly person in your home, that's something that you have to consider with this discount is $30 worth it. Do you remember the days when you didn't have to worry about such things? Because infrastructure was designed just to deliver power when you needed it. That's right. And, of course, back east, you know, solar wind is a little bit there in Pennsylvania. But really, it's coal power.
Starting point is 00:31:32 It's nuclear and coal is the only way that they can solve it. And while they're doing a lot of things to save the grid and make it stronger, they've got a long way to go. So those kind of a rate-cutting device or measure, that's standard. It's standard, and you pretty much have to accept it. Hey, Tracey, appreciate you. You rather sharing your experience. Let me go to Ron. Ron.
Starting point is 00:31:55 You've been very patient hanging on in Lake Creek. Go ahead. Hope you're still there. oh yeah i'm i'm here bill good what's on your mind total total honor to talk to you um all the pleasure's mine honor's mine yeah okay thank you i mean two two quick things um a couple saturdays ago my power went out at my house now i have a just a window unit and it's about a 1400 square foot house not huge but that's all we have and it shut off for i don't know three or four hours And we looked online, and it said it was for a safety shut off.
Starting point is 00:32:34 That's right. You know, whatever verbiage they use. And I'm wondering if, you know, am I going to be prorated for the service? I'm not being delivered, Hardy, R.R. That's not happening. You know, it's interesting you bring that up, though, Ron, because when it comes right down to it, they charge you a fee to deliver the power, and they charge for the wholesale cost of that,
Starting point is 00:33:01 it would seem that there should be, at the very least, a discount on the wholesale delivery fee. Wouldn't that be the case? Wouldn't that be the case? Wouldn't you think that would be? Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. And so that, I mean, that's a minor thing. And like I said, I'm just a little key on out at Lake Creek.
Starting point is 00:33:18 And the other thing, and I'm wondering, is anybody experienced an amperage drop in their house? Now, many times when it's gotten very hot, my AC will literally drop. You can hear it. I mean, easily, all of a sudden, not as much power is coming into my home. My fans all lower, you know. Oh, yeah. Well, in high demand, I have absolutely no doubt that you're getting a voltage sag at that point. They're trying to keep it up.
Starting point is 00:33:53 But you're out of the rural area, right? You're right there out there. Yes. Yeah. And I have no doubt, instead of 120, 122 volts, maybe you're sagging down to 112, 111, and so you'd hear less. So they're kind of, my big point is, is they're kind of hosing us, and there's, what do you know, what can you do? I mean, it's just really frustrating. And I mean, it was hotter and blazed as we were, we were, I mean, it was hot in the house there, and we're just kind of languishing.
Starting point is 00:34:26 And an official state policy is to decarbonize not to actually deliver power and keep the plate spinning. I'm kind of thinking more like that past caller that was saying that having the governor in charge of who's actually on the power commission is probably a real hurtful thing in the state of Oregon. And maybe that's where we need to attack that. Hey, best of luck to you, Ron. I appreciate your call. And thanks for making it. And if you are on hold right now, we'll get you squeeze in here. We're talking power on Conspiracy Theory Thursday.
Starting point is 00:34:59 7705-633. Pacific Power has this little program. They're hoping people will bite on $30 a year, and we shut off your compressor on your heat pump or your air conditioner when need. Will you bite? Just how clean is your water? It's very based on how you buy. I love you.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I shouldn't have said that. Hi, I'm Randy with Diner 62, and I'm on Kemi D. By the way, in all the weird news, at least I understand that There is a new meter which is going to be marketed, which will allow you to go to the grocery store and test the avocados for ripeness. You can actually put a little scanner just going, eh, before you get your avocado toast. It'll tell you for sure. I like that idea. There's some technology that will help us.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Meanwhile, though, what about the power situation? Deb, you wanted to the way in on the Cool Keeper program that Pacific Power is thinking about doing. Go ahead. Yes, sir. So, no, I'm totally against it. I agree with the other caller. The governor's got way too much power. You know, she can forget it.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Even for $30 a month, she can forget it because then that would just be a lie, too. I'm a big hard hell-no on that. And the other reason is I'm going through that lovely change in life where we get hot flashes and things. Well, you know, we keep our house at about a cool 67 to keep me happy. And the last thing we want is that going off in the middle of the night. My husband ain't going to go for it either. Yeah, I'll tell you, my former mother-in-law years ago, or stepmother, pardon me, many years ago. She got so hot during those changes that I remember it would just break out with the sweat pouring off of her.
Starting point is 00:36:32 And I felt such sympathy for that. You got my sympathy too, Deb. Okay? Yeah, yeah, definitely, you know. And there's no way. I mean, our compressors are going to sound like these electric cars going down the road. On off, on off, on off. There's just no way.
Starting point is 00:36:46 All right. Thank you, Deb. Let me go to Devin. Devin, you've been holding on. Go ahead. Hi, Devin. I had more of a question about these solar, fields that they're putting up.
Starting point is 00:36:58 The one out in Sands Valley, where it ties in the Highway 62, and then they just put one out in Cape Junction on Laurel Road. Do you know, is that just private landowners selling company back or power back to the utility, or is that the utility it owns of? I don't believe their official Pacific power sites. I could be absolutely wrong. You know, I know that there was one out on McLaughlin that I saw a little while ago, and there was like a sign kind of mentioning this,
Starting point is 00:37:31 but I couldn't answer that question right now, Devin, but you're going to make me wonder, and maybe some other people in the Southern Oregon jury will let us know, okay? Yeah, yeah, I'm curious. They're ugly as hell, but I'm just wondering if they're supplying the grid to lower costs on consumers or... Yeah, hard to say. No, repeat after me, Devin.
Starting point is 00:37:55 This is the mantra, sustainable. Yeah. Okay, thanks for the call. All right, 7705633. Okay, oh, wait a minute. Yep, there she is. It is not Conspiracy Theory Thursday without a chat with Lucretia. How you doing, Lucretia?
Starting point is 00:38:18 Great to have you on. Good morning, Bill. Good morning. We've got about two and a half minutes left. You're going to wrap up Conspiracy Theory Thursday. You want to give me a good take on something here? Well, you know, it's so funny because we know the Western Heritage Foundation talked about all the plans to de-industrialize us, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:37 and take away power to, you know, our food supply and just really create catastrophes. And we've got it just really economized and all this. But, you know, right now I'm looking at the Earth, that noise. off that school. Now, and see, that's where you think the globalist weather machine is located, or at least putting the information out where the winds blow, right? It's incredible. Even over the whole Pacific Ocean between us and Japan, there's hardly any humidity.
Starting point is 00:39:07 It's like they've dried it out. Now, you think, how could they dry it out? Well, you know, it's just fascinating how they can use frequencies. Or in 1902, this Charles Hatfield, just using 23 chemicals, just created floods in San Diego. People can look apart, Charles Hatfield, and what he did, but I don't know if they're doing it through also the frequencies or something, but how can you, literally in the middle of the ocean, create a low, low humidity above the ocean? And then it's, it's, it's, it's, well, isn't there a case to be made that a prevailing wind could be taking the humidity and carrying it off to other locales in the jet stream? Well, when you look at the jet stream, actually, it's going around.
Starting point is 00:39:52 and it's literally going all the way up by, you know, Seattle in that area, and then it's coming straight down, and then right in about where Chimpsico to Mexico is, it's coming up and it's all really dry. Like right now we're hardly any humidity in there. It's 18.2. Okay, well, then what explains the fact that we have wonderful humidity here in Southern Oregon right now, and we're the Aged Desert? Compared to, yeah, I mean, we look like where the desert in Africa would do humidity levels,
Starting point is 00:40:21 right now. It's ridiculous. And then the East Coast has moisture, but the air is not going across the country anymore. It's either going up or down or coming from the Gulf. They're just totally screwing with a jet stream to do all this. Okay. Well, so all I can say here, I hear your telephone ringing. I think
Starting point is 00:40:40 that is the George Soros Weather Service who is in touch with you right now. All right. Hey, I got a roll. Lucretia, it's never conspiracy theory Thursday without you checking in, okay? appreciate it. You'd be well, okay? Thanks, you. The email, Bill and Bill Myers Show.com. Have a great day.
Starting point is 00:40:59 We'll talk again tomorrow on Find Your Phone Friday and miss your outdoors and a whole bunch more. We'll have good talk.
