60 on Saturday.
Seven minutes after eight, Jack Cashel's going to join me here in a couple of minutes.
Always looking forward to the talk as we go into more of...
I mean, I don't think he set out to be a conspiracy Thursday kind of guy,
but he's paid to pay attention to the stuff that other people don't want to pay attention to.
We'll dig more into that, including the J6 pipe bomb.
suspect in a bunch more. We'll also talk about
his latest serialized book, good stuff
on his substack, okay?
Gold at 4204,
silver, just a penny or two under
53. I think it's saying,
hey, the government is open again.
Let the printing press begin.
I think that's
what's going on, along with the
buying, you know, the buying of it
from central banks continuing. There's only
like two or three central banks that are selling
gold, but sometimes it's like
Russia, because Russia needs the money to be able
to continue the Ukraine
war. So yeah, they're selling it, but
practically everybody else is buying it.
Are you? I don't know.
But talk to your financial expert one
way or the other. Then talk to the recognized experts
on the gold and silver trade here.
And that's Jay Austin and Company, golden silver buyers
in Ashland, 1632, Ashland Street,
and Ashland, 6th and G in downtown Grants Pass.
So you think our government has it
all figured out? It's going to take care of that $38
trillion? Well, then, don't worry about it.
But if you're thinking of a little insurance,
We'll talk with Mark and Andre and the whole crew over there, all right?
Call 4823715, 482-382-3715.
They're so busy right now, an appointment be a good idea.
You can also find out more about them on fortunereserve.com.

11 minutes after 8, one of my favorite substackers and author, Jack Haschel.
Jack Haschell wrote Ashley the untold story of the women of January 6th.
Great book.
And there's another book of yours out right now, too.
Isn't that right?
Did you finally finish that serialized gathering together all the history?
of the nonsense that we've been told
or trade? Yeah.
Yes, I did, Bill. And the book is called
Empire of Lies.
The
big media's 30-year war on
truth, 1994,
the 2024 is now available
in print and e-book form, Amazon,
Barnes & Noble, you know, wherever you buy
books, basically. Yeah, and it was
a good walk-down memory lane
from the last 30 years
of progressively
a dishonest media reporting.
And I don't think, has anything really changed right now that you're aware of it?
Is it a different era right now?
Well, you know, here's what I thought.
I think we all thought this for a moment.
We thought that once Joe Biden's, you know, senility was exposed as it was.
And then, you know, Jake Tapper's book came out.
And there were some minor Maya Kupas around the.
the broadcast world we thought it would sober them up we thought they would have a moment where
a pause where they'd say okay maybe we should start reporting the truth that has not happened
however there are certain you know signs we've seen very recently for instance you know the
pointing of barry weiss to be ahead of cbs news or she's now going after scott jennings
to bring him over uh the uh scandal of bbcc
about doctoring Trump's speech and other moments like that, but still the rank and file are
just inclined to lie as though they hadn't learned nothing.
All right.
There's more attention being paid to what happened on January 6th now, and I know for a lot
people go, oh, you know, why are we going back and looking at this?
Because essentially, we had state-sponsored crime, right?
we had state-sponsored government-backed crime that was committed against the United States people that day
and continues, and I can't exactly say it's not exactly like all the people who were involved with this
or somehow lost their government pensions or they lost their job or, you know, many of them get promoted.
It's kind of like what happened on 9-11, everybody who was incompetent supposedly, got a bigger budget and promoted.
Isn't that interesting how that works in this country?
It's not unfortunate, but your point.
is well made what yeah oh yeah go ahead i didn't mean me to rob but go ahead please continue that
you know the one revelation that stirred things was from uh blaze media and steve baker uh who
through a gate analysis basically and other you know intelligence uh tools uh deduced that the
pipe bomber was the USC uh united states capital police officer uh named uh
Johnny Kirkoff. Now, you would think a story like that would be everywhere, and I mean
everywhere, because remember, this was, you know, this was the pipe bomb by Kamala Harris,
right? Remember? Right. And right, outside the DNC, another one near the RNC. Yeah, it should
have been a bigger story than it was. The challenges right now is, I don't know that it's true.
I don't know that Baker is right. The N. Bongino,
was implying very indirectly that she's not the person of interest.
Now, that is, that's just a, like something I just saw moments ago.
And he did it very indirectly.
So, you know, he may have been alluding to some other element or some other factor.
Now, studying someone's gate is fingerprint-like, is how it's described to me.
Pretty darn close to a fingerprint, right?
And what they should have been able to deduce was that the bomber was a female.
That, I think, is a given.
And yet the FBI under Merrick Garland did not even make that conclusion.
So I trust the Baker's reporting.
I think he's being sincere and honest.
I hope he's right.
Well, I hope he is too because he and Glenn Beck have both pretty much staked a reputation
on this report haven't they that's exactly that's exactly right and what we know about miss kirkloff is that
what a name to go through life with you know you know it it rhymes with everyone's going to call you that
yeah you know it sure but she was a trainer for the what they call non-lethal force and and there she's
right up there on that alcove above the crowd on the west side of the capital you know firing like
you know munitions down at the cap the crowd below
agitating them, shooting at them from head height and, you know, at least a half a dozen people
were hit in the face, head or shoulders. All of that is just violates every rule of engagement
known to police work. And it provoked the crap. Well, this reminds me of, there's an old
cartoon meme that had supposedly a little stick figure that was representing the right and the
FBI or someone else with a stick poking it. Like, come on, do something. Do something. Have you
see that yeah come on do something so you know but you know what the real smoking gun is and i've
been uh pushing this and i haven't gotten much traction on it even though what i'm going to tell you here
is irrefutable and uh it is the interview that um kamla gave to jane paulie during the week of january 17th
in other words within 10 days of uh of the incident it was broadcast on january 17th on
cbs sunday morning and uh and jane paulay asked com a relatively innocent question well my gosh he goes
that was such a seismic event what was it like for you right yeah having knowing that you were
right by a pipe bomb that was going to that could have blown up right right you were 20 feet away you know
you and it was a had to be very exciting and well yeah except here's what uh jane polly did not know
jane polly did not know that kamwa was near the pipe bomb and nor did kamwa tell her what kamwa
said was um basically she said this yeah i was at the capital and then i was at the meeting
and then uh um my husband and i were evacuated and taken to a secure location so she consciously
omits the fact that she was at the DNC
when the pipe bomb was found.
She was evacuated at 115.
Yeah.
The Congress would not be evacuated until after 2.30.
And she was evacuated specifically
because they found a bomb outside her office.
She did not mention it then
and would not mention it ever.
So what happened as a result of that
is she gave the impression she was at the Capitol
And the prosecutors, who first went after the early J6 and the early prosecutions for six, eight, nine months, told the juries that those people who were inside the Capitol building breached the protected space of a designee, Secret Service, designee, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
And that amplified their charges.
Oh.
This went on until November, right?
And then finally the word leaked out in November that they were wrong.
Kamala Harris wasn't at the Capitol.
But the charges were still there, weren't they?
They had to walk them all back.
Oh, they did walk them back.
Okay.
Huge embarrassment and waste of time and money for everyone involved.
They had amend all their filings to get her out of the Capitol, right?
So she doesn't talk about where she was until the first anniversary when she gives this dramatic speech in the capital rotunda saying January 6th, 2021, December 7th, 1941.
Yeah, making the moral equivalent, right?
Right, exactly.
And then she goes on to say that she was, she acknowledges that she was not as a capital.
during the uh the riot but she does not say where she was so she leaves that blank
but it appears that she was not at the DNC either was she no she was at the DNC she was at
the DNC okay all right and and later in her book or memoir which 107 days or whatever
when that came out she admitted she was there making phone calls she wasn't in the meeting
and it makes sense she'd be making phone calls to donors and whatnot yeah thanking them sure um
And it makes sense that she'd go to the DNC to do that, but she lied about that for years.
And even on the campaign trail, Bill, where, you know, after Trump was nearly assassinated,
she could have said, it would have made sense for her to say, you know, I, too, was the victim of a near assassination attempt.
When the pipe bomb was planted outside, you know, the DNC where I was, you know, making phone calls.
Yeah, but she never brought that up, which makes me think that maybe there was some knowledge.
I'm just speculating, of course, like you would be, you know, on this, that we knew it was a fake job or a put-up job?
Right.
I would say that by the time she was interviewed by Jane Pauley, Kamala, and I don't believe she was in on a plan.
And to begin with, I think she stumbled into this and screwed it up in a way.
I think by that time, she was made aware that the pipe bomber was on Team Biden.
And because Biden never mentioned it either.
He went all four years, never mentioned the pipe bomb, not once.
Well, the part that always bothered me about the pipe bomb deal is that the federal government was very efficient at finding every, you know, 70-year-old grandmother who may have been there to talk with or see President Trump at the speech who may have walked in inadvertently to the, you know, to Congress or to the, you know, to the Capitol building.
And yet, nothing, nothing at all on that pipe bomber.
and which which screamed and gonged to me that this is some government agent of some sort
or some government actor had to be it's the only explanation for that well you know and that's
why uh steve baker and ablaze their explanation made so much sense and it and it may prove
to be true i don't know that i'm a little uh less confident of it than i was when they first
revealed it yeah this is not the hill you want to die on but still you know it it looks like it could
be true. We'll see where the evidence
leads. And they've kind of shut up about this
because I guess they're hoping that the federal
government will pick this up or the DOJ
will pick this up or, you know, pull on the thread.
What's happening? I'm sure they're right.
I know that the FBI is
working. I have total confidence in Dan Bongino
and Cash Patel.
And I really have
little patience
with those people who want them removed
or think they're part of the plot or whatever.
As, please, they've been on the job
for like eight months or something.
Give him a break.
Yeah, it gets a little tiring sometimes, and I'll decide with you on that.
I wanted to switch you to another one, another part of the lie that we were all supposed to believe in why it matters is because hundreds upon hundreds of people's lives were destroyed and affected by it.
And this speaks to the earlier book you had, Ashley.
Yeah.
Officer Sicknick and the beating down with the fire extinguisher story.
Do you think you have an idea, and you were talking about this on one of your substacks,
do you think you have an idea where this story came from?
Do we know finally?
You know, after the revelation about Shoney Kirkov, who, whether she was a pipe bomb or not,
we see her as a provocateur on January 6th, you know, when she's shooting her munitions at the crowd below,
then a few months later she takes a job at the CIA, right, makes me think that there was.
ding ding ding a cabal within the uh within the uh capital police now and i email then i will say
i was surprised that they responded to me i went back to the original uh january eighth
story in new york times and what the story says is that and this is when the story broke it was
a huge story it totally shaped the coverage of january six from months and that is that pro-trump protesters
and I'm almost using a word for word,
hit Officer Brian Sicknick over the head
with a fire extinguisher
and Sicknick with blood flowing from a gash in his head
be rushed out of the Capitol
when he died at the hospital.
Which was a total lie, total fabrication.
And the New York Times cited as their source
to law enforcement officials.
So the other day, I emailed the author of the story,
you know. I didn't have much hope that she'd get back to me. She did get back to me. I said,
I don't expect you to give me their names, but you can, could you confirm if these two law
enforcement officials were Capitol police officers? And she said, as you understand, I can't, blah, blah, blah,
sources, blah, blah, blah. I get it. But I would think that if I were she, and I posted this story
that had a major consequence on the reporting
and our appreciation of the events of that day
that I would be upset that I was so badly misled, right?
And I have an insight, a further insight on this story
and in covering, in writing, you know,
Ashley, the untold story of the women of January 6th,
one of the women I profiled was Sarah Carpenter,
and NYP, the officer, who drove down that day to participate in the rally to hear President Trump.
Sure.
And when she's driving back to New York City, she did it as a day trip, she called a friend of her who lives in Maryland, you know, near the highway, thinking maybe she'd stop by and say hello.
And the friend was horrified when she learned that Sarah was at the rally.
and she said to her, you killed a man, meaning her protesters.
But you see, that story shaped, it shaped the entire narrative moving forward, everything about it.
Absolutely.
And the woman said that you people killed a capital police officer of the fire extinguisher.
And this woman's source was her husband who was a retired capital police officer.
This is on the evening of January 6th.
That rumor was floating around.
So what someone decided to do, and this is a conscious decision, given the detail of the information they gave to the New York Times, was to take that rumor and transform it into a fact after the unfortunate of the unfortunate of the natural causes on January 7th of a series of strokes, just unfortunate, but had nothing to do with the events of January 6th.
And they turned that into that, you know, gashed blood flowing from head, fire extinguisher, rushed out of the hospital, all that's false.
And no one in the media, and then they did something else, the medical examiner, his office, suppressed the autopsy report for more than 100 days until it was forced out by a judicial watch lawsuit.
So this is obvious conspiracy. There was a conspiracy to cover up the truth.
keep the truth, or, you know, to keep the, you know, the truth about the J6 and Officer Sicknick's
death, et cetera, et cetera, to keep that under wraps so that the main attack on Trump's
supporters could continue unscathed, right?
Right, right, you know, right, exactly.
No one wanted to defend a lethal insurrection, right?
Mm-hmm.
I mean, you saw the new, the, on the right, you saw the tone change immediately.
And on January 6th, people were saying it was a big panty rate, no big deal, you know?
Yeah.
And then the only people killed were Trump people.
And the Trump people had it coming to them, right?
That kind of that.
Yeah, more or less.
And then on January 8th, the news breaks it, no, a Capitol police officer was murdered
by a fire extinguisher by pro-Trump protesters.
And no one was able to get the facts of that for more than 100 days after that.
That's right.
Which cranked the machine up.
And now I'm just, we're engaging a little conjecture on this one, but I know that when Congress, Congress is all about this investigation, et cetera, and we're hearing, you know, still continuing reporting on this, though, my concern is that Congress is where good investigations go to die.
Do you think that's where it eventually ends up because it just is ultimately, it's like we know what happened, but it is too hot to actually prosecute?
I mean, how do you see this playing out, Jack Cashel?
I think we have a year in which Congress and the FBI can work together.
So if we're ever going to get truth out, it will be in that year.
I mean, it might be, you know, for another two years beyond that, I don't know.
But given the election results in November and the driven entirely by hatred of Donald Trump.
So in other words, no good series of events can change the minds of these people.
people. You know, the inflation could drop to zero. The economy could shoot through the roof.
Wouldn't matter. We could peace to Ukraine and Russia. Trump could solve, find the cure for cancer.
If he did that, then cancer would be good. They'd have to elevate cancer to a national good.
Well, then they'd be talking about how awful it is that everybody at the American Cancer Society would be fired and lose their jobs.
You know, that's what we're. Okay. Perfect interpretation. So we have, so we have a few, there's a few, there's a few
months at best then because you know we're going to be going into the midterms and then who knows
what happens after that right right yeah this is our best shot to to get the truth out i i am
fully convinced that bonjino and who i listen to daily when he was in the run up to the election
in 2024 was fixated on the pipe bomb he still is and i fully trust him and if uh if he can't get the
truth out, then it's not to be had. It's not, it's not, there's no reason for anyone to withhold that
information now. There's reason within the FBI for the culprits to lay low or to sabotage his
efforts, but he won't be sabotaging the efforts. All right. Once again, Jack Cashel, great
author, and I've been reading him since TWA 800, you know, back in the day. I appreciate you
coming on this morning. And how do people find your substack? What do they do? Substac you post?
on a lot and you have a paid version of it and you also have that book tell me about the book one
more time before you take off the uh i mean for substack which is a great program i can't you know uh
it makes the individual his own publisher rather than having to go through you know a publication
and it's just go to substack.com and i'm one of a thousand people who do this i do mine is
you can come in free if you choose um i mean it's nice if you sign up to pay a lot of people do
I'm very appreciative because it's not mandatory and the book is now out. It's called
the Empire of Lies and it's basically in the subtitles Big Media's 30-year War on the Truth
1994 to 2024. Yeah. And I start with the election of 19 midterms in 1994, which I think it was
a tipping point when the media became fully untethered from the truth.
And was that the year for 800, TWA?
I forget when that happened.
Oh, that's, TWA 800 came two years later.
Yeah, yeah, but that was during election year,
and that was the huge cover up at his,
you made very clear, rather, in that excellent book, okay?
That's right.
And 95 and 96 were the two most corrupt years
in American political history, as far as I could tell.
What the Clintons did was they went to China for their campaign cash
because that was the only way they were going to,
win the election. And to do that, they sold America's technology and military secrets.
I know Solomon, I know Solomon, John Solomon, it was talking with Hannity about that.
Is that finally coming unraveled at this point?
Oddly it became unraveled in the Senate Committee in 97, the Thompson Committee, but no one paid attention.
All right. Final question I have for you. Okay. Final question I have for you, Jack, where you got to go?
And that is the, is the Epstein file at this point a distraction, or is it?
Totally.
Total distraction has always been a distraction.
And I was offered a book contract to do an Epstein book with a person who is more inside knowledge on this than anyone.
And she told me right off that bat that Trump isn't involved in it.
And when I looked at the evidence, it was so flimsy.
that um i decided not to pursue it i you know that the best case you could be saying of
half a dozen you know prominent people virtually all of democrats uh that they may or may not
have had sex with women who who may or may not have been underage you know epstein's dead
um the case is buried he was an evil guy he had a ton of money and some very high level
connections. Yeah, but yet there's still, that's what, that was a government operation, though.
Some government operation had to be, wasn't it? Well, I mean, he would fight in with the Mossad and Israel.
There's no, that's not a secret. Yeah. Unfortunately, it feeds the anti-Israel lobby right now.
But, you know, but if it's true. No, it is true. But you know what I'm getting at here, it's like,
oh, you know, well, you can't say anything bad about that because reasons, you know, there's a pack and they'll get in touch
with your Congress bid. I get, I don't know, Jack. It's a weird world we're living in right now.
That is for sure. No, it is true, and that's the problem. I mean, because it's, you know,
that the fact that that is true, you know, does not make everything else true. But, you know,
and part of, even though I'm a Wikipedia certified conspiracy theorist, I spend more time
negating conspiracy theories than promoting them. All right. Well, I appreciate the difference.
Okay. Thanks, Jack. We'll have you back, as always. And I appreciate you all. And you sound
great, by the way, on Zoom. I like that. We're going to keep doing it this way. Yeah, I like this. We should do this all
time. It's much better than phone. Yeah, cell phone. And plus, you're not bathing your head and radiation.
We want to keep that brain working, okay? Thank you, Jack. I was wondering why my ears were right now.
We'll see you later, Jack. Thanks. Take care.

About five minutes, we're going to talk to with a Rogue River mother,
a little concerned about the videos that they're using to teach the seventh graders.
Apparently her daughter was involved in this.
I'll have that story coming up here in just a bit.
Well, Sam and Steve, you want to the way in?
Go ahead.
Give me a take.
Hey, yeah, Bill, interesting.
topic. It seems
that the globalist and
the communists have
kind of started working together
and they began doing this back in
1990 or thereabouts
when Congress
no longer could pass the budget and we started
doing this the continuing
resolution thing.
Now
it comes down to
where does all this information come
from? And there was a story a while back.
I think right around the time Trump was won the election that the news media admitted that they had something called a trusted source.
And that trusted source turns out to be someone at the BBC.
Interestingly enough, Trump is now suing the BBC.
Yeah, one can't help but connect the daughter to there, Steve.
Good point.
And my point, though, is that I do believe that most of the major news organs in the United States of America are fed by government intelligence, though.
And that would also include the BBC.
Being done through that trusted source.
Yeah.
And they are so powerful.
It involves people in Congress and people in private industry whose rice bowls depend on the continuing waste of money that's going on.
Yeah, you can be right about that.
And this is why in some ways when it comes to, especially the cartel media,
maybe you can't hate it enough sometimes.
Got to go, but I appreciate the call.
Brother Brad's here.
Brad, I give you a quick hit.
I've got to talk.
Local mother here has an interesting story.
I don't want to run out of time on that, but what did you want to weigh in on, huh?
Yeah, yeah.
Jack Cashel is great.
Mothers are always important.
So, Dateline today, California Department of Motor Vehicles admitted.
So, Dateline today, they illegally issued seven.
$17,000 commercial driver's licenses, the U.S. Department of Transportation said on November 12th.
Here we are on the day that the government is officially reopening, so interesting timing.
Bill, is 17,000 illegally issued commercial driver's licenses a problem?
Is that something we should be worried about?
Oh, no, not at all.
Not at all.
In fact, we might as well, I was watching a meme on, I think it was on YouTube in which they were giving away a free,
Peterbilt truck and a commercial driver's license as the prize on the price is right.
You know, they faked it up with AI. It was very funny.
So that's kind of the world we find ourselves in. It's California. It's Oregon.
Yeah. It's not a problem at all here, Brad.
Thanks for that. Yeah. My tongue is thoroughly implanted in my cheek.

It's the Bill Meyer Show on KMED, Southern Oregon's Place to Talk.
Brought to my attention that in Rogue River, a bit of a controversy brewing about classroom,
curriculum, whether it's appropriate involving seventh graders.
I'm going to play a little bit of a video, just the audio.
I can't play the video for you, but I can play the audio from it.
And it is supposedly a historical explanation of a German myth, all right?
And it includes a rape scene, which is quite interesting.
the warrior maiden brunhild
Ziegfried agrees to help him
Brunhild challenges Guntz to single combat
and she loses because Ziegfried
invisible in a magic cap
helps him to defeat her
so Gunter wins
Brunhild
wins Brunhild
okay
the wedding night is a farce
Gunter falls upon his bride while the invisible Ziegfried holds her down.
Yeah, the one thing I was mentioning is that this is the rape scene right now that is being done
and he is naked in the animated deal.
Frankly, it was kind of animated like a bad episode of The Simpsons.
But I wanted to talk with Emily Kamiller, who's a mother of a student in this district
who brought it to her attention.
Emily, it's good to have you on. Morning.
Good morning.
so what happened how did this happen um my daughter came to me and said that she was told about this video
and then she went to that class and then she was shown the video by her teacher um and i i freaked out
you know and and i i said can i see the video do you know how to show the video and so she got
into her google classroom and she pulled up the video and and she took me right to where it was at
and she showed me the video
and did I describe it accurately with
it kind of it was animated
animated like
yeah like an like an animated
porn movie I guess is
yes exactly it was
it was weird it was very weird
to say I don't know what else to call it
it was a weird cartoon with a naked man
and then an invisible cloak
holding this woman down so that
the king could rape her.
And this was being done under what a history or cultural?
What kind of class was this being shown in?
It was a social studies class.
Oh, social studies.
Okay.
Yeah.
And as a parent, I guess you were a little sideways with this, huh?
Oh, very.
The next day were parent-teacher conferences, and I couldn't even focus on the meeting
with a teacher that was in front of me.
because this teacher that played it was at the table next to me,
and I couldn't even meet with that teacher at the time
because I was so emotional and distraught,
and I couldn't calmly compose myself to speak with that teacher.
So I went to the principal, and I got the video taken down
while I stood on it over the weekend.
So this was last week that it occurred.
Okay.
Yeah, yes.
Now, have you been able to talk with any school officials right now
because there is a message from the school district,
Tori Kirkpatrick, who is the junior and senior high school principal there.
Yes, I – sorry, I spoke with her on the day – on the conference's day,
as well as I went in on Monday, and I spoke with the principal, the vice principal,
as well as the teacher.
Has this been going on for a long time, to your knowledge?
Emily? The video itself has been played for at least the last three years. He's shown
us, and I've had other parents reaching out to me that say, that they asked their high school
or if they had watched this video, and they said, oh, yeah, I totally watched that video
when I was in that grade. And so it's been shown for a while.
Now, to be fair, the video is not exactly what I would call a sexy stimulating video. Can we
agree on that much? Right. Correct. Okay. Yeah.
Because the king is portrayed as an ugly dufus and, you know, the way it is.
But still, it struck me as odd to have a naked cartoon character, you know, full genitalia and everything like that,
portrayed in a rape scene to help understand history.
I mean, is that kind of where you were coming from or not?
Yeah, 100%.
I think it's at any grade level, I think it's inappropriate to show kids, whether it's,
cartoons, I don't care if they're stick figures.
You don't show that kind of stuff to school-age kids.
Maybe at a college level where they're older and maybe more able to understand or process
differently, but what they showed, do they know the effects of what they showed on these
young, impressionable minds?
I mean, they don't enforce the dress code, so you've got a lot of younger girls walking
around with their body sticking out, and now you're going to have this seed planted in the
minds of these teenage boys, you know, in the name of history or their, whatever, I just,
it's, their minds are super impressionable.
And it's, it's not okay.
Is this curriculum which came from the state of Oregon, or, you know, what is the purpose
of this?
Because, you know, when it comes to anything involving sex or transgender sort of stuff,
all these other things, ODE is all in on this.
I mean, they're all, well, you know, full Monty, if you want to call that.
you know, use that term, but where do they come from?
I mean, who decided that this is a way to teach social studies?
So part of the curriculum, you know, the state has their standards, whatnot.
And then from what I understand is that the teachers are, they have to.
They have to what?
Emily, the phone cut off.
They have to what?
The teachers have to what now?
Sorry, the teachers have to come up with some of their own curriculum.
Oh.
And that, yes, so from what I understand, and so it was decided by the teacher that this would be appropriate within the school's parameters.
So nobody went over this.
It was just he decided to do this, and it was shown to my child, along with every other seventh grade class.
So no permission slips, nothing like that needed?
No, and I asked about the permission slips, and they said that they didn't, it wasn't needed,
a permission slip wasn't needed because the video didn't have a rating.
If a video has a rating, then they have to send out a permission slip.
Oh, okay.
All right, that's it.
All right, so.
Which, which I'm sorry, but that's cuckoo.
Okay, a little thin gruel.
Little thing gruel.
All right, so what are you working for?
What are you hoping that you'll accomplish with bringing this up?
I want to shine light on this district to tighten up their belts and have standards for their students and for their teachers.
This isn't appropriate.
They need to provide the proper tools, books, media, and age-appropriate education that ensures that the teacher lesson plans are approved and follow the state standards.
I don't, I don't think it's okay to, if the teachers have a curriculum that they want to put out,
I think there needs to be somebody that oversees what they're showing the children.
Okay.
And has the school district responded to you and your concerns yet?
Um, they, I, no, no, not really.
They've just said that they're investigating it.
Um, I have tried to reach out to the superintendent.
he won't get involved until the principal has made a decision.
So, you know, I'm trying to go through the proper steps and chain,
but there needs to be changing this school.
There needs to be not allow all this weird grooming stuff.
Oh, so that's the way you look at this then, this particular?
Well, yes and no, I just think that there's been, it's not just,
our school has a history of sexual offenses and i'm pretty tired of that and because there's no
standards i mean we had the tampon incident that it was just people lost their jobs over over that
the tampon art that's a whole other thing the boy i forgot about that just got the sexual predator
that just got sentenced to four years i mean a minimum of four he's got four years but he was
having sex with a student.
I mean, there's a history of this in our school district, and I'm just, I'm not okay with it.
I'm not okay with thinking that it's okay to show these children pornography or rape of any kind.
Would you think then that the school would be a little more sensitive to such things?
Yes, and more transparent, and they're not.
They're not being, they haven't been.
And they keep, I feel like things are swept under the rug.
I feel like parents are kept in the dark.
And these are my children.
These are my children.
They're my number one priority to take care of.
And if somebody is messing with that or their mental, physical, well-being, I'm not okay with that.
Have you considered taking your daughter out?
I consider it all the time.
I, you know, here's the thing, me and my partner, we both work full-time and trying to get kids to another school or, you know, I don't necessarily, I would love to be able to homeschool my kids, but I just can't do that right now.
And I don't feel that I should have to, you know, like I think that I should be able to send my kid to school and trust that these people that I've entrusted with them can offer a safe place for these kids to learn.
Emily, I appreciate you reaching out.
Keep us in the room here and I'll reach out to the school district too,
see if they want to talk about that.
Maybe, you know, there's a reasonable explanation as to how this happened.
But this has been going on a few years.
I guess the teacher has been showing this video as part of the class for three years,
for what I understand, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Appreciate the call, and thanks for letting me know and keep us in the room if you find out more.
Okay.
Thank you.
All right.
Thank you.
Emily Kamiller has a daughter in the Rogue River School District.
It is 854 at KMED.
541-941-3736 is the only number you need for custom-fit quality metal roofing solutions.
Hi, I'm Corey with Patriot Electric and I'm on KMED.
I'll be interested to hear and figure out where this situation with Emily Kamiller's child in the Rogue River School District goes for you.
We will continue that conversation tomorrow.
interesting enough I was looking at another pitch from the National Center for
I think it's sexual exploitation and they talk about how
more often than not that kids are experiencing or exposed to porn more through
social media in the online world even if it's accidentally
and then we have this this YouTube video that was being brought up
which is part of the school curriculum in Roll River
of course maybe it's being used out and maybe and maybe most people
would look at this and say, okay, so we've got a naked cartoon character doing a rape scene.
Maybe there's nothing to see here and move along, but we'll continue that conversation tomorrow for
sure. Something else I wanted to mention about tomorrow, since it is Friday, scuba Steve and I,
from Cool, we're going to be doing our ringing of the kettles. We're going to be kicking off
as like the battle of the, the battle of the radio boys here. Steve's going to be out there 10 to
noon. I'm going to be out there at noon to 2 tomorrow. I hope you join me at Fred
Meyer South in Medford. We're ringing the kettle for the Salvation Army, kicking it all off.
We're going to have a great time. I'd love to get a chance to meet you. Please donate generally, generously rather, and generally because a lot of people are needing our help this season.
And I'm hoping to do my part and you do your part to. Meet me out there tomorrow noon to two from KMED, okay?
