Hey Bill O'Reilly here.
Welcome to the No Spin News, Tuesday, June 18th,
2004, stand up for your country.
So I have some bad news to report to you,
and it doesn't affect you per se,
but it certainly affects me, the notes.
and Bill O'Reilly.com. We made a serious mistake last night in this broadcast.
And I have to correct the mistake now and apologize to you and to Lester Holt at NBC News and
other people who we did not report accurately on. So here's what happened. If you're watching
the no spin news last night, you heard me say that after the arrest last week of eight
individuals who cross the southern border and are suspected ISIS terrorists, there was scant,
word of the day, S-C-A-N-T, coverage on the network news, and even on the cable news outlets.
And then we ran down who covered and who didn't. The problem was that my production team,
and that includes me, had the wrong day. So we went into the lineups of the news organizations,
all the networks and the cables, and we were looking at the wrong day.
So I reported misinformation.
This is the second time in 27 years that I have had to come on the air
and apologize for a story that we blew.
And there's a lot of blame to go around, but it's mostly my fault
because I didn't check it.
And so when I went on Leelert Vittert last night, News Nation, they did check it, and they knew that I misreported.
And we had a discussion on the air about it, and it didn't go well for me.
It's okay.
I deserve it.
News Nation is a good news outfit, unlike many of the others.
Okay?
it was my mistake. I have to check everything before I reported to you because that's what
we sell here on the no-spin news and Bill O'Reilly.com. We don't sell a huge corporation like NBC and
Fox and CNN. We are an independent news agencies and we have to be better and we are better.
Lightyear is better. So this hurts. One more thing.
The reason this happened is because when I saw the data that was given to me by my staff,
I wanted to believe it was true.
You guys know one of my mantras is people believe what they want to believe.
Well, I wanted to believe that the corporate news agencies ignored the terror story
because it made Joe Biden look bad.
And they have done that hundreds of times over the past three and a half years.
And I said, yeah, there's another example.
suppressing information that makes Biden look bad, so I didn't check it. And that's what
happened. And I apologize. And it will never happen again, believe me. But it was primarily my
fault. I'm Harry Truman. The buck stops here. Talking points. Americans are not voting for
anything this presidential cycle, they are voting against. So if you are voting against Joe Biden,
here's what you're objecting to. All right? Open borders. High prices for the essential of life.
Social disorder, lenient punishment for criminals. Equity, the favoring of skin color.
Woke culture. Higher taxes. Biden pledges to raise the court.
tax to 28%, which, of course, will pass all of that along to the consumer.
Consumer will pay more for everything if Biden gets that done.
Unlimited abortion and massive climate change spending.
Already $35 trillion in debt, if Biden gets reelected, it'll be $42 trillion by the time he gets
out of there.
It's not sustainable.
Now, on the Trump front, you're voting.
against the former president's demeanor and the way he has conducted himself, you're not
voting policy here because Trump was fairly successful, and you are voting against Trump's
anti-progressive posture. He despises the progressive left. So this is probably, based on my
research for confronting the presidents, the most negative presidential vote in history.
Now, Andrew Jackson v. John Quincy Adams was close. I mean, people were voting against
one or the other, not primarily for anyone there. This was the first Jackson run. Okay, it was a
personality-driven thing, and it was vicious, absolutely vicious. When you're confronting the
presidents you'll see. But I think Biden Trump is worse. And I know I'm voting against all the things
that I just mentioned. I'm voting against them. I don't want open borders. I don't want equity.
I don't want woke. I don't want higher taxes. I don't want any of the stuff that Joe Biden stands for.
And remember, if he gets reelected, there's no constraints on him at all. None. You think it's bad now? Whoa.
And that's the memo.
Okay, President Biden's schedule today, he is quasi-legalizing about 10 million migrants.
Okay, this is the DACA crowd.
These are people who were brought by their parents to the United States when they were children.
Okay, and I'll tell you what the executive order is in a moment.
And then Biden goes out to McLean, Virginia, for another fun.
every day he's doing fundraisers. He's not solving problems. It was funny because I was on a radio
today and I said, every time I run into a Biden supporter, I have only one question. Give me one
example of a problem Joe Biden has solved in three and a half years. One example. Can't do it.
I never get an answer to that, ever. Okay. So Donald Trump is in Wisconsin.
bashing Biden.
That's what he.
So, you know, Wisconsin's wing state.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold.
That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.

Okay, so here's the Biden migrant situation.
The children of people who snuck into this country are going to be legalized.
So that's about 500,000 human beings right now.
If a DACA, and that's what they're called DACA, a DACA person, marries an American, as many of them do, of course,
they can stay in the country and they'll get citizenship unless they commit some kind of heinous crime.
all right so that's what Biden is doing he's doing that because he signed that executive order
toughening up the border which was a total ruse but the progressive left got angry so he's
throwing him this that's what it is this isn't a disaster by the way if you were taken here
by an illegal alien parent when you were four it's not your fault okay so I have a little sympathy
for those folks okay so now we learn and this is
coming from a Fox News report, but I believe it's true.
There are more than 7 million backlogged cases in the customs enforcement and immigration.
Seven million.
I mean, you can't hear seven million.
That's how many people Biden have let in.
You can't hear them.
All these asylum cases, they'll never be heard because there's so many of them.
And that's what an open border does.
And that doesn't include, they say two million gotaways, I think it's four.
Because they don't really know they being ICE and Homeland Security.
And Mayorka, the chief of Homeland Security, doesn't care.
They'll never admit, ever admit, all these people snuck in and they don't know where they are or who they are.
Many of them are criminals.
So last night I addressed this issue in the form of terrorism.
We all know that if you have an open border, terrorists are going to come into the United States.
So are criminals, murderers, drug dealers, you name it.
The border is open, they're coming.
Why?
Because they can make money here, the criminals, and the jihadists hate us and want to kill us.
I mean, a five-year-old can figure this out.
All right, so the alarm is being sounded with the eight arrests that I mentioned earlier.
of the Tajukis who are tied to ISIS by the FBI and ICE.
You don't get more of an alarm than that, is what I said with Leland Vitter.
So last Wednesday, and you reported it, eight migrants from Tajikistan were caught by the FBI
and Homeland Security and linked to ISIS.
They came across the southern border.
And I'll tell you one more thing, and I hope it doesn't have.
happen. If there is a terror attack before November vote, Biden loses by a historic margin.
It's through. He's done. And Ray and all the others, with the exception of Majorcas, who's so
out there, it's frightening. All the other law enforcement officials say, is a good chance that's
going to happen. It's a good chance that we're going to have a terror attack in America because of the
open border. Okay, joining us now from London, England, Mike Baker.
former CIA operative, he has starting a podcast called The President's Daily Brief on
the first TV, which is one of our partners. You can watch us on the first. And Mr. Baker is starting
this up. We'll get to that in a moment. I want to ask you about this terror threat because obviously
this is speculation. We can't nail anything down. But there's an article in Foreign Affairs
magazine. I just read it moments before coming on the air. It's by Graham Allison of Harvard,
a brilliant foreign policy guy, and Mike Morel, the former assistant of the CIA, who you might
know, do you know, Morel? I know him. We're not friends, but, you know, we were there.
But you know he is. Okay. So the former assistant CIA director. And they basically say that
this is the highest danger right now that the United States.
has ever faced on a terror attack since 9-11.
And as I said, it makes perfect sense.
The problem is the Biden administration is not going to sound the warning because it's
their fault the border is open.
Am I wrong?
No, no.
I mean, there's this, you can't, there's no other way to put this, right?
Just look at the numbers, right?
The statistics over the past three years during Biden's tenure and the millions that have come
across. Look, it's a simple
top line issue, right? You can't have
and you pointed this out. You can't have national security.
You can't have public security
in our cities and towns across America.
If you don't know who's coming across the border,
that's just common sense.
And yet
the Biden administration essentially
has a failing grade on
doing their primary number one job,
which is the protection of the U.S.
citizens. So this is a serious
problem. And Mike Morrell and
Graham Allison are, our
echoing what we've been hearing now for some time from Christopher Ray over at the FBI, from the
SETCOM commander, General Carrilla. It's, we have. There's no dissent. There's no dissent.
It's 100% from the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, and all the foreign policy experts that this is
so dangerous, yet the president of the United States wouldn't even address it. So my question
then becomes, how could anybody vote for a man like this?
I mean, even if you hate Trump, you think he's the worst president or the worst person in the world.
Joe Biden's putting your life in danger.
Yeah, he's, again, he's, yeah, he's dropped the ball.
And his administration has-
That dropped the ball, Mike.
Yeah, it's far worse than that.
Yeah, he, they know he gets an intel brief every day, Biden.
Does he read it?
I don't know whether he reads it.
But it's on his desk.
Everybody, every president treats those intel briefings differently.
Right.
He knows.
They screen it differently.
Yeah.
And he didn't comment at all on those arrests last week.
Nothing.
He was too busy doing whatever he, raising money.
I mean, it is so appalling and so dangerous.
Yeah.
You can't look at what he's done and then expect him to come out and say,
we have a security issue on the border because it all comes back to him.
So I understand he's not going to talk about it because he's created this mess.
But I am glad that others are highlighting this problem.
Now, you have to then follow on, right?
And you would assume that if you're aware that your problem is at this level, right,
that your threat level is this heightened, that for some time now,
we would have been taking additional steps.
And that would have meant to secure the border, to engage in actual vetting.
You've talked about the DACA, you've talked about the asylums.
We have the mass parole program.
We have the special countries.
You know, we're still allowing people in.
So despite his executive order, which was, yeah, performative art,
uh, there, there are a variety of workarounds that they have to allow more and more people.
Yeah, everybody knows is to ruse.
All you have to do is ask anybody in San Diego.
Final question.
You've named your podcast, the president's daily brief.
What does that mean?
Well, look, the president's daily brief.
It's an actual thing.
It goes into the White House.
You alluded to it.
Uh, every morning.
lands on the president's desk. Some pay very close attention to it, some less so. But it's a
very brief and concise look at the key issues, most of them international of the day. And so
the president's daily brief podcast, which I've been fortunate enough to work on with the folks
from First TV, started up in September. And it hits on three or four of the key issues
happening around the world of the day. We get in, we get out. It's 20 minutes in the morning.
It's 10 minutes in the afternoon, and people can be, they can stay informed and then get on with their lives because everybody's busy trying to work and put food on the table and take care of their families.
So we wanted a way to get the news out in a very sort of here's the facts.
We don't try to tell them how to think about it.
We say here's the facts, put a little context in it.
And then we're out and, you know, Bob's your uncle.
All right.
How do they get it, Mike?
It's available on the all podcast platforms, Spotify, all the others that are out there.
Any person who's used to podcasts, just go out, get President's Daily Brief.
We have an extended weekend version that's actually got moving pictures and stereophonic sound.
It's very exciting.
And we record that.
We launch that on First TV every Friday evening, and it's available on our YouTube channel at President's Daily Brief.
And I appreciate you letting me bang on about this.
I'm not used to really marketing something like this, but I think it's great.
Listen, I want my audience to have as much information as possible.
And I mean, you're a very credible guy, so it would be worth there a while to go there.
Mike Baker, thanks very much. We really appreciate it. We'll talk again soon.

All right, here is a debate update.
There is no update.
It's nine days away.
You know, what are they going to do?
So Biden's going to go in, as I said yesterday, he's going to memorize some stuff.
And the question is, can he remember what he memorizes?
I don't know.
We'll see.
Trump knows pretty much what he's going to do, which is going to be a mini-rally for 90-second clips.
All right, worst president of all time, you're not going to have a country, the border, inflation, all that.
And the moderators are hapless.
They're not going to be able to control what the candidates say.
fact check. I mean, all it is is to see if President of the United States, Joe Biden, can get
through it. That's it. Okay. So last night, James Carvel, remember he was Bill Clinton's
consigliary, said something pretty startling. Go. Well, if I was a gamble, actually,
I am a gambler. Yeah. I take even money that Trump doesn't show up. Okay, I just think I...
You don't think Trump's coming next week.
I mean, I don't know.
But if I was, I think he's going to wake up and decide.
He just like he said, he was going to testify in his defense and his trial,
if he even put on the defense.
He's, let him show up.
I wouldn't be shocked.
And I'm taking Carville's bet.
All right?
So I'm going to have my people call Carville and say, hey, how much you want to put on it?
That's pretty crazy.
Chicago, talk about crazy.
So Chicago owes the second biggest amount of money of any American city.
New York City is first.
Chicago owes $40 billion, which you can never pay off, ever.
All right, and if you live in Cook County, you know you're getting pounded with taxes, they're going to go up.
So the mayor, Brandon Johnson, radical left, George Soros guy, all right?
He wants now for the city of Chicago to pay reparations, roll it.
I stand hill today proud to sign an executive order that creates the reparations task force
to support the strategy, the implementation, and the engagement of Chicago black reparations agenda.
He's already spent a half million dollars on this crazy thing, which will never happen, by the way, because it's unconstitutional.
You can have as many things as you want, but if somebody sues and says, you're depriving me who is in black, no matter what color you are,
could be Native American, you could be from India, you could be a Hispanic, you could be white, whatever it means.
maybe, you can't be given tax money based on skin color for a historical evil.
But this is Chicago.
Now, I'm going to make a very interesting point.
I want you to remember this point.
We understand, and I believe to be true, there are going to be massive demonstrations,
violent demonstrations, at the Democratic Convention in Chicago, beginning August 19th,
that these pro-Palestinian, they call themselves,
demonstrators are going to mass in Chicago and cause a lot of trouble
exactly what happened in 1968.
Brandon Johnson has no clue how to control crowds or fight crime or do anything.
City of Chicago right now should be planning on how to counter those demonstrations
or a lot of people are going to get hurt.
Smart life. Coffee. So I'm not a coffee person. I would never spend $5 for coffee. Moka Latte. I drink a cup of two a day of coffee. I like coffee ice cream, but I have to limit that, sugar. But anyway, coffee now is huge in America. You know these coffee people. I mean, they get, oh, I got to have my coffee. They love.
line up in Starbucks and the other boutique coffee places, and they're throwing money in there.
Oh, $8, sure.
Here are the five most expensive coffee states in the Smart Life segment.
Number one, Hawaii, okay, the average cup is five bucks, 59% higher than the national average.
California, number two, about four bucks average.
Okay, Washington State, 370, Arizona, 350, Massachusetts, 350.
Now, I have the little Kyrig thing where you put the little Newman coffee in there,
and Newman, Paul Newman, the late Paul Newman, they give a lot of money to charities.
They kind of like their stuff.
And it cost me, I figured it out, it cost me 30 cents to get a cup of coffee.
And it's easy, even I can do it.
all right now i the urchins my urchins they're buying this i'm going what are you doing now they're
both working so they can spend their money the way they want but if you're buying five six seven
dollar coffees you're out of your blank of mind smart life all right so seattle talk about
a coffee city and i hate the whining about coffee oh i have to have coffee oh oh oh oh oh like
Ugh. Anyway, Seattle, back to Seattle. So they don't have any cops. Why would you be a police officer in Seattle? Why? You're going to get pounded. If you try to enforce the law, they don't want the law enforced there. Okay? The mayor is Bruce Harrell. He's another far left guy. There he is. So they're so desperate for cops in Seattle that they say, if you are a DACA
migrant, all right, you can apply for, to be a police officer in Seattle, we want you.
Even if you're not American citizen, come on, come on, on, Seattle.
Boy, you know, Seattle's a beautiful town. Have you been? San Juan Islands, Ray's Boathouse is
the best restaurant out there on the Puget Sound. I mean, Seattle's just great. They've ruined it.
ruined the entire town.
Same thing with Portland.
All right, this day in history,
one of the biggest presidential blunders
of all time,
and I spotlighted
in confronting the presidents
my upcoming book out in September.
June 18th, 1812,
President James Madison
begins the war of 1812
with the help of Congress.
so madison declares war on london now here's how crazy that was there was justification for the
declaration of war because the british were fighting the french and they didn't want the french
trading with the u.s.a so the british would seize our commercial vessels take the stuff
steal it, and kidnap some American sailors, merchant marines, and impress them into the British
Navy. That's outrageous. So, of course, the United States had a reason to fight against the
British. One problem. We don't have any Navy. There was no Navy. All right, we had a few ships
up in the Great Lakes, but there was no Navy. And the British had the most powerful Navy in a world.
And we didn't have an army.
We had 7,000 federal soldiers under Madison.
7,000.
All the rest were state militias.
Okay?
The British had the most powerful army in the world.
So this would be like a Little League team declaring victory over the New York Yankees.
And of course, we got our butts kicked in the beginning.
So the British, hey, you want war?
give it to you. And on December 24th, the war ended, but not before. In August 1814, British troops
burned down Washington. And Jimmy Madison and his wife Dolly had to get the deuce out
there. And they just got out. And I write all about this. It was one of the top five blunders,
presidential blunders of all time, this war.
So anyway, the war ended,
Treaty of Gent, and it ended because the British
just said, look, it's not worth it anymore, all right?
But after the war, there was a big battle in New Orleans
because they didn't know in Louisiana, the war it ended.
There were no cable news, okay?
And Andrew Jackson kicked the British butts,
along with pirates, Jean-Afin.
I mean, if you don't know about the Battle of New Orleans,
it was really amazing.
I went to the battlefield down there, and Jackson, brilliant tactician, had his guys hide behind hay bales so the British bullets couldn't go through.
And the British, they're in their red coats and their march.
All the rag-tag army that Jackson had just mowed them down.
And Jackson became a national hero and then used that to springboard into the presidency.
So anyway, War of 1812 began, 212 years ago, 2,000.
day. All right, we got a final thought about families who are yelling at each other.
That happened in your family? We'll deal with it in a moment. All right, here is the final
thought of the day. So as you know, the concierge membership on bill o'Reilly.com is booming
far more than I ever thought it would. And we have a whole area assigned. We try to answer
your direct questions to me within 24 hours. Most of the time we're
successful in doing that. Okay, one of the themes of concierge members is asking me for advice
about family strife, okay, that almost every family in the world has tension inside the family.
And it's hard to deal with it because it's so emotional. You know, if your kids let you
down or the disrespectful or disobedient, they get into drugs, they get into bankruptcy, or if
your parents are crazy and they were abusive and their aunt and uncle and you know, on and on and on and on.
I give good advice in these areas because my first thing is to say, bring it down.
But there's a more important component to family structure.
Because family is the most important thing.
I mean, religion, family, country.
And they're all, I think religion and family are over country,
but they're all interconnected.
You have to give warnings, not only to family, but for other people too.
But you give them in a polite way, not in a snarling way.
But you have to warn, okay?
And the way that I direct concierge members to do it is no emotion.
Just state the facts and don't debate because the person your warning is not going to be happy about being warned.
So for example, if there's a kid who's late teens or early adulthood who's doing destructive things,
and you catch on and you should.
should, all right, you should be able to do that.
You pull a kid aside, in a very kind way, you say, look, this road is going to lead
to destruction for you and massive pain.
And I'm here to help you on it.
So if the kid is disrespectful to you or his mom or dad, whatever it may be, say, you know,
it's honor your father and your mother.
There's a reason that's a commandment, honor.
of your father and mother are flawed as all parents are you still have to honor them the society
that knows that the best is japan but in america boy but anyway all you can do is just warn you can
say if you do this or continue to do this this is what is likely to happen to you many times
that warning will not be heated and by the outside too there's somebody annoying
you, somebody doing a destructive thing to you or your family, warn them. Don't yell. Get ahead of
it. Confrontation comes when the warning is ignored. It's called critical mass. Then you have to get
tough, right? And I'm teaching my son right now, who's going to get into public service, I believe.
That's what he wants to do. It's a step. It's a ladder. Okay. The first thing,
when you see something wrong is to warn the person in a respectful way.
This is wrong.
Maybe we work together to make it right.
All right, I'm here to help.
A lot of times that's going to be rejected.
A lot of times.
The second step is basically saying knock it off.
And the third step is to make them knock it off.
And there are a variety of ways to do it, which is why your concierge membership, I'll tell you how to do it without getting sued or beat up or whatever.
This is a violent country. We live in.
America is a violent country.
And we all have to realize that.
And you don't want to do anything to put yourself at risk.
But there are other ways to do it.
And that's why we're in business here to help you, particularly in a family situation.
right the wrongs get a good relationship going again and if you can't then there's got to be an exit
for you and I'll again tell you so we hope you check out concierge membership but even if you
don't the first warning to anyone should be gentle second warning a little more stern
third warning then it's serious okay again we apologize for the mistake we made
last night and I can pretty much assure you that only two and 27 years it won't
happen again because I'm not sure it doesn't happen again all right thank you
for watching and listening to the notes of been news we'll see you anymore
