Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News for Tuesday, October 17, 2003. Stand up for your country. The best coverage of the Hamas-Israel War continues this evening. On the No-Spin News, President Biden, off to Israel. Is that a good or a bad thing? We will answer that question, and that is a subject of this evening's talking points memo. So the itinerary is that President Biden is flying overnight from the USA.
Starting point is 00:00:44 He's only going to be in Israel for a few hours, no overnight. Okay? And he's going to meet with Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel. and they'll discuss whatever they want to discuss. That is not a bad thing. Okay, so if I were president, I would do it too. Then Mr. Biden is off to Amman Jordan. Jordan is an ally of the United States,
Starting point is 00:01:16 and he's going to meet with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian National Authority, which really does not exist. So they have an office, but Hamas runs Gaza, not the Palestinian Authority. And that's been the case for 18 years. But there's still Abbas is in there, and he's going to meet with Biden. Okay. And then L.C. of Egypt and King Abdullah of Jordan are going to be in the meeting as well.
Starting point is 00:01:50 That's a good thing. Do we need to coordinate all this? Now, as long as Biden is in the area, there's not going to be a military invasion of Gaza. He's not going to do that with Biden over there, but he's not going to be over there long. I figure he'll be back here Tuesday by Thursday. Maybe I'm wrong. The reason this whole thing started, as we reported last night, was because of Saudi Arabia and Israel making a deal. And Iran did not want that because it strengthened Saudi Arabia, Iran's enemy.
Starting point is 00:02:34 So Iran got behind Amos to invade Israel and commit atrocities to kill the deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia. It didn't kill it, but the deal is suspended, so Iran gets a short-term win. That's why this happened. Okay? We all understand, I hope. I'm not going to get that on the most of the television news broadcast. That's exactly why it happened. Now, the U.S. military is in the Middle East. It has been in it. If you read Killing the Killers, my book about terrorism, we've been there since the Iraq War. We have bases, special forces bases in Western Iraq. We have bases in Kuwait, huge base in Kuwait, been there three times.
Starting point is 00:03:26 We have bases in Turkey. Okay? So about 2,000 troops are able to be deployed very quickly in case, say, our embassy was attacked or something like that in case they're needed. They're not going to fight alongside the Israeli defense forces. That's not going to happen. There are now two warships, carriers, one of the military. already there, the USS Ford, another one's coming, which will be right off the Mediterranean
Starting point is 00:03:59 coast of Israel. And there'll be planes on those carriers and heavy weapons. So there is a military presence for the USA in the region. But I'm not so concerned about that. Tomorrow, on the North Bend News, we'll have Colonel Hunt, who's doing research into exactly what this is all about, I'll better have information tomorrow on it. Now the United Nations, and this is a scandal, they're in business to try to mitigate things like this, nothing out of the UN, nothing. So they could set up humanitarian camps in Egypt, just south of Gaza, to take women and children out of Gaza.
Starting point is 00:04:50 The UN could do that, but no. And you know what it says? We need guarantees of security before we can do anything like that. Guarantees of security, huh? That means the UN is not doing a thing. Why are we in the UN? I guess because you can meet with people, but this is just such an impotent organization
Starting point is 00:05:19 that could not care less. about this planet. I've never been down more in the United Nations than I am now, ever in my whole career. It is rotten. They should be in this, and they are useless, 100% useless. Now, the Vatican has offered to broker a peace agreement, but that's not going to happen. The Vatican offered to broker something between Russia and Ukraine, but evil doesn't want to around the Pope. It's not going to happen. But I was happy to see the offer.
Starting point is 00:05:58 And finally, I don't think that we should be criticizing Joe Biden right now, the president. Yes, he's weak. I point that out in the message of the day. There's so much overseas chaos now, whereas under Trump there wasn't. And that's just a fact.
Starting point is 00:06:16 So if your liberal friends are going to dispute that, just say, hey, have a nice day. Now, is it all Biden's fault? No, but a lot of it is. The Afghan thing set the tone. But right now is not the time. Let Biden go over there, let him do what he does, and then we'll see. Is that fair? I think so. And that's a memo.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door or place in a tax advantage, gold IRA. They'll even help you roll over your existing IRA or 401K, tax and penalty free.
Starting point is 00:07:15 With billions in precious metals delivered thousands of five-star reviews and an plus from the Better Business Bureau. You can trust American Hartford Gold as I do. Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text bill to 9988-99. Again, that's 866-3-26-5-7576 or text bill to 99-88-99. Hey, it's Sean Spicer from the Sean Spicer Show podcast, reminding you to tune into my show every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. President Trump and his team are shaking up Washington like never before, and we're here to cover it from all sides, especially on the topics the mainstream media won't. So if you're a political junkie on a late lunch or getting ready for the drive home,
Starting point is 00:08:08 new episodes of the Sean Spicer Show podcast drop at 2 p.m. East Coast every day. Make sure you tune in. You can find us at Apple Podcast, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. Now I want to bring in a guy who's covered this thing in a very personal way. You may remember him from Fox News. Leland Vittert worked for us at Fox. I say us, because I was there for more than 20 years, from 2010 to 21. He was based in Jerusalem.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I used Leland a number at times because he's an honest reporter and he's a gutsy guy. And, you know, when you're living over there, you're in danger. And he was over there 10 years. He now does on balance with Leland Vittert on News Nation 7 p.m. Eastern Time. So the problem here is that if you are a ground reporter, you have to go with the Israeli defense forces to do anything. Is that correct? Inside Gaza, right, and the Israelis so far, they have not, in their words, invaded yet. So if you go into Gaza, you are a subject of.
Starting point is 00:09:15 of Hamas and anything that Hamas says you sort of have to take at face value and you have to report. Otherwise, there's some other things Hamas can do to you to make sure that you report what they want you to report. Inside Israel, you really have a lot of freedom of movement. And I would say, at least from my experience, inside Israel, the IDF was extraordinarily honest and transparent in my experiences dealing with them. And what they said was what happened. and there were times that things that they did were not good, and we reported on that, and they were as forthright about it, I think, as you could expect anyone to be. I think, Bill, what you make a very good point is, is that from 2010 to 2011, 2012,
Starting point is 00:09:56 I used to go into Gaza, and you had freedom of movement. You could tell stories. You could talk about things there. We're careful not to really upset Hamas. But ISIS was the turning point. And now, as we look at covering Hamas, you really have to look at it. it almost like the same way you looked at covering ISIS because their tactics have now morphed into that and the way that they deal with information coming out, the way they deal with their
Starting point is 00:10:23 own people is much more similar to ISIS than anything we thought. It's a savage thing. No Western reporter is safe in Gaza at this point in history. But I'm happy to hear you say that the Israelis were fair and allowed you to criticize. I'm not sure that. the case now under Netanyahu, who is more dictatorial than some of the other leaders, recent leaders of Israel, they, for example, I don't know if the Israeli forces want Americans to see dead Palestinian children. I don't think they're going to let you shoot that, but I could be wrong. they're going to allow in beds when there is a ground invasion going all the way.
Starting point is 00:11:17 It's a whole different thing. I think the point, yeah, it's a whole different thing. I think the point, though, has to be made. I think you made a very good point, which is about being a fair reporter. And there's somehow this conflation going on right now in the media between Palestinian civilian casualties and Israeli civilian casualties, as if they're the same thing. And there's a very big difference. And I saw this on the ground.
Starting point is 00:11:43 And I know this from my time with the Israeli military. There's an enormous difference between a terrorist organization or a quasi-paramilitary organization of Halasas that targets civilians and kills them and slaughters them. And an army that is trying to protect its own country that launches attacks against that paramilitary organization. And a paramilitary organization uses civilians as human shield. There isn't really a moral equivalency there. And I think it's one that any time you report on the number of casualties back and forth,
Starting point is 00:12:18 you've got to point that out. Sure. And there is a substantial difference. The problem, Leland, and we discussed this on your program, I was on Leland's program last night on News Nation. The problem is that the media and the people that are in charge of the individual programs have no frame of reference about the area. at all. They don't know anything. They don't know what happened in 1948. They don't know what happened to the Palestinian Authority. They don't know who Hamas is. They don't know
Starting point is 00:12:51 the pressure that Hamas puts upon a civilian population that you just laid out. And they're not real interested in that. It's too complicated. So therefore, these idiots at Harvard and other colleges, these students who know nothing, they just are ripe for property. that, you know, Israel's a fascist state. It wants to go out and, uh, and persecute innocent women and children in Palestine. All that garbage. So look, all you got to do is back to the United States dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima Nagasaki and knocking out Dresden. Yeah. Equivalency. Were we wrong in doing that? Of course not. Of course not. It's the same. thing with Israel and Hamas. The same thing. You have to defend yourself. And now they have to
Starting point is 00:13:47 wipe out Hamas. So here's my next question. Do you, based on your expertise in the area, believe that Hamas can be wiped out in the small area of Gaza? Is that possible? It is possible. Taking Hamas out would be like trying to kill a colony of cockroaches, right? It's messy, it's very difficult. If you could just level Gaza and not care about anything else, yeah, it's possible. I don't think the Israelis are going to kill two million plus people. Hamas has enormous popular support inside of Gaza. It is as much a political movement as it is a military.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Leland, Leland, you just said something very important. Yeah. Amas has popular support inside Gaza. They're terrorists. They're cut throats. Everybody knows that there. Why are they popular? They're the only ones who can provide anything,
Starting point is 00:14:50 and they're good at propaganda. They've gotten a lot of help from Iran. They're the ones who say, we're fighting against the people who are oppressing you, that being the Israelis. The local Palestinians don't have a free press to read. They can't sit there and learn.
Starting point is 00:15:06 The entire Arab world is united against Israel and united that the responsibility of the Palestinians lies solely with Israel, never mind that from Morocco to Indonesia, they don't want to do squat for the Palestinians. That's not reported on Arab media. But you said something earlier, Bill, I want to take a little bit of an issue with. You said that the American media doesn't know the difference. The host on MSNBC and CNN and NBC News and ABC News, they know the differences about what I'm talking about. Reporters on the ground certainly do. I think it's not that they don't know the difference. It's that there is a concerted effort to demonize Israel because it's done so for political reasons.
Starting point is 00:15:47 I think on other people, and other individual reporters and anchors basis, there's a hint of anti-Semitism. Because when I was over there, I would see people who knew the difference, and I won't name names, but reporters and anchors who knew the differences, who knew the history, who didn't report the fairness and the context that you and I have talked about being so important. important, clearly because they had an agenda. And that's very, that's very different. And that's why I think what you talked about in terms of calling out what's happened in Israel, talking about it honestly is so important. Okay. Two things that I've learned in the last 24 hours. CNN has made a deal with the Israeli defense forces. So the coverage on CNN is going to be pro-Israel.
Starting point is 00:16:36 was told by the Anti-Defamation League, you better not do the moral equivalency thing, or we're going to launch a boycott against NBC News, we, the ADL. They were told that. So therefore, over the weekend, MSNBC pulled three of their radical left pundits off the air in response to the threat. So you're right. The agendas, but the agendas are shifting now. CNN is going to be a cheerleader for Israel. You wait and see. I think it'll be interesting to see what CNN's covered looks like. And I don't know, I guess maybe they're on the counter force.
Starting point is 00:17:27 I don't know about the deal that they've covered maybe to be. You're not going to see any prime time hosts on CNN do anything favorable to Hamas or Iran. You're not. It's not going to happen. Anyway, last question. Go ahead. Go ahead. The question is, okay, go ahead. No, no, I just don't know how you can do anything favorable to Iran and Hamas right now. No, because you and I are rational people.
Starting point is 00:17:52 You and I know we've been there, you much more than me, but we know. You know, I wrote an old book on this, you know, the most well-researched book on terrorism in the world, killing the killers. And we know the evil that comes out of Tehran. There's no two sides to the story. They're evil. They want to kill Jews. That's what they want. They say it.
Starting point is 00:18:18 So anyway, last question for you. This has reversed the cancel culture as we spoke about last night. So the cancer culture was used by the progressive left. They invented it about 10 years ago to destroy the progressive opposition, and it's worked. Now, the people who are sticking up for Hamas are in danger of being canceled themselves. It's turning. Isn't that interesting? It is very interesting. I think it'll be most interesting to see if the media that was complicit in creating cancel culture and fueling it in power and empowering.
Starting point is 00:19:05 it because that it went from social media to national media right if that same media allows the turn to happen or if all of a sudden we get this wait wait wait wait wait just because somebody shows up at a hamas rally just because they ripped down posters of umas hostages just because a professor at uh columbia calls of the attack on Israeli civilians awesome well they shouldn't be canceled because now all of a sudden free speech will become the thing. I think you're right that it's turning. The question is, does the same standard apply what's good for the goose is good for the gander? And I think that's going to turn to it. I don't know about any gooses, but I guess that's geese, right? But we'll keep an eye on the media. Lillen Vitter, News Nation. Appreciate it,
Starting point is 00:19:55 we'll talk soon. Okay, now here's some examples of people take in action. colleges depend on alumni to give them money. So Ken Griffin, he pledged $300 million to Harvard this year. $300 million. Griffin says he might not do that. All right. Former U.S. ambassador to Russia, John Huntsman. He's pulling his donations to UPenn.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Leslie Wexner, Victoria's Secret mogul, He's pulling his donations to Harvard. Mark Rowan, Apollo Global Management, pulling his donations to UPenn. Now, that is absolutely legitimate. And I will tell you, on a personal note, I went to Maris College in Poughkeepsie, New York. It was a great experience for me.
Starting point is 00:20:51 It was a terrific school. Working class school back then, it was physically built by the Marist Brothers. All right. My last year there, it went secular so we could get state aid from New York and the religious aspect of Maris went out. Fine. Okay? No problem. Now Marist has gone left. It's woke. Okay? Now I gave Marist one million dollars of my money to give scholarships to poor people. And I named the scholarship the Peter O'Keeffe scholarship. to Marist because Peter O'Keefe was a brilliant history professor and influenced me. I will not give Maris College a penny for the rest of my life because they are run by insane left-wing people now. And the board of directors allows it. This is a statement that Maris College President Kevin Weinman, who used to work at Amherst, put out,
Starting point is 00:21:58 many in our community, I'm still grappling with the violence in Israel and Gaza and the tragedies unfolding in that region. He's grappling. I'm just grappling. I really don't, I can't really process it. This is weasel stuff. He doesn't want to condemn Hamas. I want to talk about terrorism. He grapples. I can't tell you how angry I am. This is a school I went to. This is a school where I got my history degree. It was a great school for working class kids. They've destroyed it. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning, I'll bring you the stories that matter, plus the news people actually talk about, the juicy details in the
Starting point is 00:22:55 worlds of politics, business, pop culture, and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce, Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, lawmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode. Smart life. I used to give money to Doctors Without Borders. Okay, you've heard of it. Doctors go over, they volunteer, they help people all over the world. Okay, Charity Navigator gives them a 98% rating
Starting point is 00:24:11 that says that most all their money goes to helping people. Sounds great, right? No. Doctors Without Border is another organization, charitable organization that started out, very noble, and is now a far left outfit. You heard a word about them, about terrorism? No. We invited them on this program tonight. No. Any charity needing money to help people all of the world comes on a program that reaches millions of people. Any charity does that. Not doctors without borders. Smart life.
Starting point is 00:24:55 You've got to investigate before you donate your money to charity. Americans are the most generous people on the planet. We give more to charity than any other country per capita. Got to investigate. All right, let's go to politics now. Jim Jordan first vote in the House today. Nope. 20 Republicans voted against Jordan.
Starting point is 00:25:17 So now they'll have another vote. I mean, we're taping this in a light afternoon. I don't know what they do if they don't want Jordan. maybe they get somebody else. These Republicans, look, they got to vote their conscience. I understand that. I got it. But they're destroying their own party.
Starting point is 00:25:35 It's a laughing stock. Because all the Democrats, they just vote right down the line. Whatever the Democratic leadership, Pelosi, Schumer wants, that's what happens. Republicans have no leader. None. Donald Trump's not a Republican. It's a populist, as I said many times. So anyway, I don't know how it's going to work out, but these dissenters,
Starting point is 00:26:02 McCarthy should have never been booted, are really hurting the Republican cause. That's what they're doing. Sometimes you have to vote for the greater good. FBI crime stats. So violent crime dropped 2% in 2022. They're a year behind the FBI stats. Okay, that's good. Rape decreased 5%.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Aggravated salt, drop 1%. I mean, these are minuscule. Still a violent country. Robbery increased 1%. Property crimes are up 7%. Carjackings up 11%. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:42 The reason that property crimes are on the rise is they're not punished. And particularly in the urban places. Chicago, San Francisco, L.A., New York. Baltimore, on and on, and on, not punished. You can steal a car. Okay. Adult victims of fetal gun violence decreased 7%.
Starting point is 00:27:07 But juvenile deaths from guns rose 12%. Those are the drug gangs. Bring that to your attention. Oakland, California in chaos. Alameda County, all right, They have a Soros-funded crazy DA named Pamela Price. All right. So under Pamela, armed robberies have increased 35%.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Burglaries in Oakland have increased 382% because she won't prosecute the criminals. They break into your house. She will prosecute them. So now there's a recall effort. So if you live anywhere near Alameda County, you can sign a petition. They need 73,000 signatures to boot her. Remember, Chase Bodine, the DA in San Francisco, he was booted. Okay?
Starting point is 00:28:05 So Pamela's got to go, obviously. So they have by March, you got to get 73,000 signatures. I think I could get them in two weeks, but we'll see. People in Oakland want to, hey, break into my house, take my stuff. That's what you got. So some of you know that Killing New Witchers number two on the New York Times list on Sunday, and this is March the third week it's been out. Came out three weeks ago today, so we're approaching 150,000 copies.
Starting point is 00:28:38 We're very happy with that. And we thank you all who supported the book. But you have not seen me on the network shows in the morning, at late night, or any of them. no not invited don't like me he used to like me because i always bring ratings wherever i go not anymore however the number one book is a hate trump book by a woman named cassidy hutchinson she has been on cbs sunday morning big spot the view jimmy kim a lot she gets all the invitations okay and rachel mattow is a book and she's been a on the Today Show, CBS Sunday morning again, all right, and the CBS Colbert show, because
Starting point is 00:29:29 Colbert and her are Sympatico. All right, so they get these two ladies, all the network exposure. Mark Levin has a big bestselling book, okay, and it's selling more than the ladies, the Democrat Party hates America. And Levin has been on no network shows. And I understand he was not invited on. And we had a guy named Alex Marlowe. He has a book, a bestseller, breaking Biden, exposing a hidden for some secret money machine behind Joe Biden. Nothing. Okay. So you get the picture here? All the networks will not book any conservative or traditional authors. No. Zero. All liberal authors go.
Starting point is 00:30:23 That is horrendous. Horrendous. This day in history, October 17, 1931, Al Capone, convicted on tax evasion. Okay, 92 years ago today, he got 11 years, a bunch of fines, he went to Alcatraz, and I'll tell you a little bit more. The best portrayal of Al Capone, who was born in Brooklyn, and went to Chicago and sold booze and murdered people by the score, okay? The best movie portrayal was Robert De Niro in The Untouchables. Go. People are going to drink.
Starting point is 00:31:00 You know that. I know that. We all know that. And all I do is act on that. And all this talk of bootlegging. What is bootlegging? On the boat, it's bootlegging. On Lake Shore Drive, it's hospitality.
Starting point is 00:31:11 I'm a businessman. And what of your reputation that you control your business through violence, that those that don't purchase your products are dealt with violently? It's all right. I grew up in a tough neighborhood, and we used to say you can get further with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word. And in that neighborhood, it might have been true.
Starting point is 00:31:43 and sometimes the reputation follows you. There is violence in Chicago, of course, but not by me and not by anybody I employ, and I'll tell you why, because it's not good business. All right, so the Harvard Business School did a study on Capone estimated he was responsible for 200 murders. He served five years, not 11 in Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, because he was sick, they let him out.
Starting point is 00:32:15 He died January 25th, 1947 at age 48 from syphilis. I'm back with a mail segment and an amusing final thought in a moment. Let's go to the mail. We got Carol. As a concierge member, please check out the concierge program on bill o'Reilly.com. We will help you. You get direct access to us. If you have any problems at all, you need any more information, great program.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Carol says, I will be outraged if Biden travels to Israel as he has no business being there. Biden has never traveled to East Palestine, Ohio, to confront residents. Well, that's true. He never went to Ohio because he knows Ohio is a Republican state, so why he isn't going to go there? But Israel, he should go. I have no objection to that. Maria, concierge member, love what you bring to the forefront in the news bill and your historical background. You know, I combine journalism and history.
Starting point is 00:33:14 It's the only people who do it, the only ones. Mary Melling, Plathsmith, Nebraska. Bill, have you considered the possibility that billions of dollars of equipment and weapons left to the Taliban, Afghanistan, got sold to Iran, or given to Hamas? There's no evidence of that, and we would know. They would have U.S. markings. There would be evidence. It would be there. There is no evidence of that.
Starting point is 00:33:37 I think the Taliban just kept those weapons. So, Tessa, Kaysen, San Diego, and your message today, you wrote, who is making the decisions for Joe Biden, his staff? Who is leading our country, if not Biden? Tessa, we already did this. I gave you all the names. And if you are a premium or concerted member, you can get a transcript on bill o'Reilly.com of that report. but I know you can't watch every show, I understand, but we've already done it. We ran down all the names.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Other people in the White House who are telling Biden what to do. Catherine Williams, Livermore, California, I'm confused about the digital dollar, should I leave my money in the bank. Stop with the digital dollar stuff. Stop. I mean, this is not a reality. This is just cooked up garbage to get you to click onto some stupid website. Just keep your money in the bank.
Starting point is 00:34:35 God. Jerry Shreveau, White Lake, Michigan. O'Reilly, you're 100% correct. Everyone should figure out their purpose in life. And the earlier they do it, the better they will be. There you go. Paul Herman, Tucson, Arizona. Mark Twain said,
Starting point is 00:34:52 the two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. I love Mark Twain. He's the best. Isn't he? Boy, is he? Oh, is he smart? So that was based on a commentary I did that we all have a purpose. You got to find out what your purpose is.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Jeff Downs, Rexburg, Idaho. O'Reilly of the Best Tech Team on the Planet. I had an issue regarding my provider, and it was solved the very next day. You want them. Go to Paramount Theater or Bill O'Reilly.com or Ticketmaster, you get them. And then Fall Madness is still in play. We got Killing the Legends, Killing the Killers, which is really a buy. book now. Killing the Killers, my God. And any mug of your choice, 4295. And it's a gift giving thing. There you go. Stock up. Where the day do not be churlish. C-H-U-R-L-I-S-H.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Do not be churlish. I'm writing to me. And back with a final thought about JetBlue in a moment. All right, final thought of the day, JetBlue. You know, don't like them. And I had a little confrontation, it went viral, all of that. So my daughter flies in New Orleans over Columbus Day weekend out of New York, three-hour delay. Why nobody knows? No, JetBlue. I told her, but she's an adult now. I said, nah, I wouldn't go down there and jet blow. Three hours late. No reason. So according to Flight Aware, which tracks all the flights in the USA. In the month of September, all right, 36% of all jet blue flights in this country were delayed. Average delay an hour and a half. 36% in a benign weather month. That's snowing,
Starting point is 00:37:21 because thunderstorms much less, 36%. I'm telling you, you do this, It's almost self-destructive. Now, I don't want to drive these people out of business. These jet blue people, that's not why I'm here to do this. But they're terrible. They're terrible. Okay? And Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation,
Starting point is 00:37:50 have I ever seen a cabinet member do a worse job than Pete Buttigieg? Mayorkas. He's the only one. The Homeland Security guy is doing a worst job, Mayor. But, New York is just beyond belief. But Buttigieg had a future as a politician in a Democratic Party. This is the worst.
Starting point is 00:38:14 That's his job is to keep these airlines from abusing their customers. Now, I flew, all right, from JFK in New York to London on British Airways. Because I was afraid of the American airline. Now, I got there, no problem. We were early. And the service was good. They were very well organized. I came back on America because they had a flight code share or something with BA.
Starting point is 00:38:49 It was a good flight. And you can tell it was senior people there. And we got in, whenever you're flying to JFK, you got to zoom around, but that's not the airline company's fault. Got out on time, we got in, you know, it's fine. These routes, transatlantic routes, they're usually not the problem. The problem is flying from Durham to Fort Lauderdale or flying from Tucson to Denver. That's the problem.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Because these airline companies, they don't have enough reserve personnel or planes. And if anything goes wrong, it just backs up. up and they don't care whether you're hosed they don't care they're not giving you a voucher for lunch or anything they don't care because they know you got to go i'm driving i told you that in a smart life segment i'm you know if i have to go anywhere within an eight-hour radius of new york and it's leisure it's not business i drive because i i'm going to save time And now the traffic is so terrible from New York City north to Boston that I only drive at night.
Starting point is 00:40:06 That's how terrible the traffic is here. It's awful, insane. And we'll get into that. Why about that? There's a reason. So anyway, JetBlue. All right, I know a lot of you're flying for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You've got to buy your tickets now, by the way.
Starting point is 00:40:24 You've got to go now. Today, you've got to get them. but if you're going jet below, bring at least five killing books. You can read them while you're waiting, okay? Thank you for watching and listening to the No Spin News. We'll see you again tomorrow.
