Starting point is 00:00:01 June 24th, the Democratic mayoral primary in NYC. And there's a new poll out. I have it. Emerson College, the Hill. And here are the stats. Democrats only, Eric Adams is running as an independent. Andrew Cuomo, 35%. Zoran Mamdani, the Socialist from Queens,
Starting point is 00:00:24 23%. Bradlander, 11%, Scottsfinger 9. They have no chance. So Cuomo will win this. Mamdani is putting up a pretty good fight. A lot of socialist in New York. You know, a lot of people that don't want to compete in a capitalistic marketplace. They want stuff given to them.
Starting point is 00:00:44 And Zoran certainly would do that. And he'd destroy the city probably in less than a year. Everybody would move out as far as people working for a living and corporations and all that. I mean, I'm going to put up with socialism. Anyway, I feel kind of bad for Eric Adams. He's done. Did not lead. Crime stats are down, and that's good to his credit.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Let's be fair. On the other side, Curtis Slewa looks like he's going to lock up the Republican nomination. But very hard for a Republican to win in New York City. Now, Cuomo's support, I found this very interesting on the Hill poll. Black voters, 74%. That's Cuomo's constituency, African Americans. Elderly voters, over 50, 66%, women, 58%, even though Cuomo's been battered by the accusations that he didn't treat women very well. Women, by the way, are becoming more liberal than men in America overall. There were some in surveys recently that the most progressive people are women.
Starting point is 00:02:01 I'm going to try to get a progressive woman on and figure this out because that's fairly new. So anyway, the next mayor of New York City is likely to be Andrew Cuomo. Justice Department's after him. Could get indicted over the nursing home thing and lying to Congress or whatever. the Justice Department comes up with, they're zeroing in on him. Adams escaped, not sure why. I guess Trump likes him, but I don't really know why. They could have brought Adams in for felony bribery charges with the whole turkey thing, but that's not happening. However, Andrew Cuomo, don't be surprised if federal indictment comes down on him because Trump does not.
Starting point is 00:02:52 like him and vice versa. A lot of politics involved in the justice game these days. And I don't like it. I think you should be apolitical. But when you're Donald Trump and you get hammered by New York City and state the way he did with all these bogus charges and all of that, I mean, you know there's going to be retribution. On the Cuomo front, you know, there was some detente during COVID between Trump and Cuomo, but now they're back to hating each other. So that's where we are. Cuomo can govern New York City, but he's not a reliable agent. He messed up the state big time. No doubt. No doubt. Governor Cuomo messed up New York State by signing the Nobel law, by the COVID craziness. He messed up. And he could absolutely mess up New York City. But
Starting point is 00:03:52 I don't think he's going to be worse than de Blasio and Adams. De Blasio, the worst of all time. Adams just simply couldn't improve anything. Cuomo is knowledgeable, knows how everything works because of his dad, but whether or not he'd apply himself to fairness and problem solving, I have no idea, none. But he is most likely the next mayor of New York's. city. And I don't believe that Andrew Cuomo is going to be happy with that. So he's got his eye on some
Starting point is 00:04:27 other prize somewhere, probably precedent, but I'm just guessing in that area.
