Starting point is 00:00:00 I want to talk to you about a new poll by Sienna College, and they do regular polls now. It's outside of Albany, a good school, about Governor Hockel. 805 New York State registered voters. Now here is the registration in New York State, and this is why we are in such trouble in this state. So total registered voters in New York are 13.6 million. 49% are Democrats. Only 21% are Republicans. Third party,
Starting point is 00:00:33 over, independent, 4%. I'm one of those. Unaffiliated 26. I'm an independent voter. So, obviously, Democrats overwhelm on the registered voting rolls. And Santa College knows that. So when they did their sample,
Starting point is 00:00:53 they sample 49% Democrats, 22% Republicans, 28 independents. So you're going to get a more favorable view of Governor Hockel than you would if you went to the mall and did this at random. So the question is, if Kathy Hockel runs for re-election as governor in 2006 next year, would you vote to re-elect her? 36% say yes. That is a bad number for Hockel. 55% want someone else. Who is that someone else? Well, she's not going to lose a primary if she decides to run again. Hockel will win the nomination.
Starting point is 00:01:36 But on the Republican side, Elise Daphnec, the congresswoman, it's got 35%. That is an interesting number. Okay, that's a high number. So remember that Republicans are, what, 22%. So I think at least Stefan can give her a run for her money. The other question are, do you approve or disapprove of the job Governor Hockel is doing? Approve 50, disprove 46.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Now, I don't know who you are that it's approving of Governor Hockel when the capital flight out of New York State is horrendous. The affluent in business are leaving in record numbers. the rents are crazy. The taxes are the highest in the nation. Crime is frightening and terrifying. And 50% say she's doing a good job. What's the matter with you, people? And I mean that.
Starting point is 00:02:33 What is the matter with you? Next question, do you approve a disapprove the job Trump is doing as president? Prove 40, disproved 57. Okay. That's what you're going to get in a poll like this. New York State on the right or wrong track. right track 43 wrong 46 again if you are saying new york states on the right track what is wrong with
Starting point is 00:02:55 you i mean do you live in the woods do you not see the traffic the pollution the horrific crimes the high taxes the high mortgages and rents you not see any of that i i just it's inexplicable to me. Now, I know that people vote their pocketbooks, and I know there are a lot of poor people on the Democratic roles who vote Democrat because the Democratic Party gives them entitlements. They're the party of spending, and you know, you need child care, here it is. You need health, here it is. You need whatever. here it is. In the unions, you want big pensions, here it is. And it's called buying votes. And that's what they do on a national level and a state level. So you've got a number of people
Starting point is 00:03:56 that just simply go, well, you know, I get a lot of stuff. I want that to continue. Democrats are going to continue. We've been a republicans won't, so I'm going to vote Democrat. I kind of get that, but you're willing to give up all of the other things, the quality of life things that we do not have here no longer in New York? We're willing to give that up so you can be on a dole? That seems kind of selfish to me. I'm not a partisan guy. I mean, I think the Republicans, in many instances, are just pinheads.
Starting point is 00:04:29 You know, they follow blindly, too, just like the Democrats do. There's not a lot of independent thinkers. But at this point in history, there's no doubt the left wing and the Democratic Party doing damage to the country big time, not just the state of New York. Thank you.
