News for Tuesday, February 18th, 2020, stand up for your country. You know, we live in an age of deceit. Ten Commandments, God, okay. Right and wrong?
Starting point is 00:01:14 You think they teach right and wrong in school? Not in America. No. And this has led to many unintended consequences. So a lot of adults just do what they want, hoping they can get away with it. If you've ever been in a courtroom, perjuries through the roof, and the system doesn't hold anybody accountable, even if they can prove you lied under oath. It doesn't matter anymore.
Starting point is 00:01:40 And on and on and on and on. But how it affects you directly is that you have to be very wary of who you're dealing with. You have to have a lawyer. I always tell you that. I can't tell you how many letters I get from people who don't know any attorneys and they get hose and they don't know what to do. You've got to know a lawyer. somebody who can, will pick up the phone when you call.
Starting point is 00:02:02 But most importantly, you've got to be skeptical about what you hear. And if you were relying on the internet for information, you're absolutely out of your blank in mind because that is the kingdom of deceit. And second in line to social media is the corporate media. It's absolutely lying to you every day. And you know it if you watch me because I've gone over this time and time again. It is a subject of this evening's talking points memo because we're going to take a look at Doge. Now, on paper, you, everybody, liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, whatever you are,
Starting point is 00:02:41 should want the government to spend less money because if it doesn't stop the wild spending, we're going to have a depression in this country. And some of your parents went through it. You cannot run up a $50 trillion debt, and then we're on our way to doing that. You can't. It's got to stop. To his credit, President Trump knows that,
Starting point is 00:03:10 and he appointed Elon Musk to try to advise him on where the federal government should downsize. that is Doge, all right, the Department of Government, something. Okay, I don't even know what the E is. I like the Doge thing, but it's basically watching the spending. That's what it is. Now, it's become, of course, a partisan issue because that's what we do here in America. That's what we do.
Starting point is 00:03:44 So the love Trumpers, love Doge, they hate Trumpers, hate Doge. And Elon Musk is an extension of Donald Trump now. Got it. So let's get specific. You can get the truth, but it's not easy. So last night on Cuomo, on News Nation, a guy named Alan Lickman showed up. Now, he is a professor at, I think George Mason in Virginia, someplace like that. And he hates Trump.
Starting point is 00:04:13 And this is what he said. Go. It harms us to fire. FAA employees at a time when we've had an unprecedented number of aircraft tragedies on Donald Trump's watch. If you want to shrink the size of the government, you do it the right way. You don't slash first. You investigate first. You find ways of reducing it.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Okay, so a number of things there in that short paragraph 21 seconds. There isn't an unprecedented number of air tragedies on Donald Trump's. watch. There was a plane crash in D.C., American Airlines. The one that happened in Toronto, that's the Canadians, right? And the other planes, a private plane crash that happened all over the place. So that's one, and that's just flat out live, that Lickman told. That's it. Okay. Second is that he says it harms us to fire FAA employees. Well, they're not, Trump's not firing FAA, employees, he paused the hiring of probationary FAA. No air traffic control is for firing.
Starting point is 00:05:28 But Lickman is trying to scare people, say, oh, Trump's firing air traffic control people. So if you fly, you might get killed in a crash. That's what he's trying to do. It's an absolute lie. Okay. So let me give you the facts. There was a council under the aegis of FAA called the Aviation Security Advisory Committee to counsel.
Starting point is 00:05:52 And it was formed in 1988 after the Pan Am Lockerbie bombing. Obsolete. But it was a waste of federal money because it didn't do anything. So Trump knocked it out. Okay, that's not firing anybody. Just took the counsel so we don't need it. It's anymore. 1988, we're not going to pay for it.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Okay. There were no air traffic controllers on the committee. In fact, there are about 11,000 controllers right now work for the federal government. That could go up to about 15,000, and it should. Trump administration should hire more air traffic controls. I hope it does. But it didn't fire to anybody. So Lickman misled you on purpose because he hates Trump.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Okay. Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts. It said the same thing that Lickman did on the medical front, the National Institute of Health. Go. NIH funding is essential to finding the cure for Alzheimer's, saying cancer and diabetes and heart disease, and they want to, for all intents of purposes, shut it down. So we're at a constitutional crisis moment in our country. What they're trying to do is unconstitutional.
Starting point is 00:07:16 No, it's not. And the Trump administration isn't trying to shut down any research into combating diseases. That is a lie. It's just a lie. No funds have been pulled from any research into any disease at all. What the Trump administration objects to is the National Institute of Health being an ideological concern. That's Fauci. And it doesn't want ideology in there. So Marky gets up and he says, quote, all right, they want to shut down research into Alzheimer's cancer and diabetes.
Starting point is 00:07:59 That's a lie. Okay. So people at home, if they're not watching me, they don't know this. And a lot of people want to believe that Trump's doing this. They want to believe that Trump is firing air traffic controllers and cutting research to diseases. They want to believe that. And that's what these men play to. Unfortunately, you don't have a robust intellectual lobby in the media, which will challenge that. Okay. On the other side, there's propaganda as well.
Starting point is 00:08:43 These are the love Trump people. They love Trump. They're peddling propaganda, too. Well, he's going in there with a spatula, and he's scraping out billions of dollars, and people are okay with it. After all, it's taxpayer's money. Why not do this? He's not scraping out billions of dollars. Must does not have that power.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Only Congress has that power. I can't do anything legally under the Constitution. He's an advisor. I'm going to my family, because we're going to Burlington for the event of liquidation candent. We're going to now to find the best of the best in articles of liquidation, from roba,
Starting point is 00:09:32 to decoration of the home, and much more. With offers, over-offertas. I can go to every day How do you want to How do you We're going to ask of the liquidation
Starting point is 00:09:41 because it's very hot to lose it. Burlington. Marks, Rebaugh. Wow. Are you ready

Starting point is 00:10:00 For over 35 years So-Delicious has been cranking up the flavor with show-stopping products that are 100% dairy-free.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Certified vegan by vegan action, and are so unbelievably creamy, your taste buds will do a double take. Dairy free your mind. Visit so delicious dairyfree.com. He compiles information. He gives the information to President Trump, who then gives it, I guess, to Republican members of Congress. But there's no scraping with a spatula. Now, on the Doge website, it says the estimate. savings so far from Elon Musk's investigations is $55 billion. But that's an estimated savings. It isn't reality because Congress does that. People think that Elon Musk is a magic wand
Starting point is 00:10:58 and they're waving it and all this crazy stuff is going to stop and actually money will come back to the U.S. Treasury, that's not going to happen. It's not possible. That has to happen at the legislative level, House and Senate. Now, Trump can get behind it and will. All right, finally. So you see what's going on here? You're not being well served. Doge is good. And when you see the Trump haters object to it, they're looking out for their ideology, not for you. They're not looking out for you. Because we have to stop the madness in spending in this country, or every single American is going to suffer, particularly the small children that aren't going to be small in 15 years.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Okay? It'll take a while to go over the cliff, but that cliff is there. You have to stop the madness. And this is a first step. This is the three-weeker. You know, you hear on television, oh, they haven't brought down the price of grocery. It's three weeks.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Come on. The right direction is to expose the waste so that the public gets outraged. And then Congress is forced to reallocate federal money. And that's the memo. Okay. Aren't you glad you're watching, listen to me? because you're not going to get that anywhere else.
Starting point is 00:12:38 DEI. So the Trump administration has ordered schools throughout America to stop with the DEI. In a nutshell, DEI is favorable treatment for Americans of a certain skin color, gender, or health condition. I use that in a transgender way. That's DEI. And it's hiring people, it's promoting people, it's doing all that based on skin color and gender and things like that. That's against the Constitution. Supreme Court has ruled that it's not the law of the land.
Starting point is 00:13:21 So Trump says, look, if you schools continue to do the DEI, we're not giving you any money. Well, who gets money? All right? most colleges in this country get federal money for student aid research development you know a lot of colleges do research into disease control things like that and what they call institutional support which is just free money going in all right there's a lot of money a hundred and 15 billion dollars in 2324 going to student grants from the federal government there's a lot of money And when Elon Musk goes into the Department of Education, he's going to find a lot of corruption there.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Same thing with the Department of Defense. Those are the two big ones. Department of Defense, Department of Education. That's where the most money is being stolen, squandered, all of that. Now, I like this again, because if you're a DEI college and you're violating a presidential executive order and the Supreme Court ruling, you don't deserve to get any federal money. Well, let's expose them. I don't want to know who those colleges are. And that's coming, I think.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Cash Patel. So it looks like his vote will be this week. He will be confirmed, I predict, as head of the FBI. And he'll clean the place out, I hope. I got a letter from a woman named Adele Britt from San Diego. And she said in the letter, when Biden first became president in 2021, did all Republican senators automatically vote against?
Starting point is 00:14:58 his picks for various cabinet positions. It's a good question from Adele. The answer is no. So Secretary of State Blinken got 28 Republican votes for confirmation. Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasurer, got 34, and Lloyd Austin's Secretary of Defense got 43 Republicans, most Republicans, Senate voted for him. So it wasn't like the Democrats.
Starting point is 00:15:22 But this time around, some Democrats have crossed over. 45 Democrats voted to confirm Secretary of State Rubio. But the Democratic Party sticks together more than the Republican Party. And that's a bad thing. Each senator and congressperson should be voting and thinking as an individual in what's best for his or her district in the country. But I expect Patel to get... I don't think any Democrats are going to vote for him, though.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I think Ms. Britt's letter will pertain to that. Measles. So there's a big outbreak in West Texas. And this is pretty vicious. Gaines County, 48 total cases. Kids 5 to 17, getting a measles. It could kill you and scar you for life. 8% of kindergarten kids in Gaines County had vaccine exemptions. You can get a vaccine exemption. All right. And if you do, then you're more likely to get measles. enter RFK Jr. who's already in, as a Health and Human Services Secretary, and he's an anti-vax guy. I don't expect him to do that while he's in office. I don't. There'll be so much outrage if he does. I think he's going to just put that in the bottom drawer. But one thing he has
Starting point is 00:16:45 to do, because he promised to do it, and it's the only reason he was there, is regulate the food in America. Now, you've heard some people say, oh, I don't want the food police. You need the food police. Because if you don't have them, you're going to die a painful death much earlier than you would have if the food police were out and about. So joining south of New York City is a dietician and nutritionist named Scott Keatley who follows this very closely. So I've been on a jihad to alert Americans about sugar, the deleterious effects, and other junk food, which leads to obesity and diabetes and all kinds of disease. And the stats are unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I just threw them here, but let me pick them up. So in the United States in 2000, 25 years ago, 30% of adults are obese. now it's 40% 10% rise and that's all bad diet right absolutely that that's coming from consuming too many calories not expending enough we're we're eating way more junk food than we ever had why why why are we really why everybody knows junk food is bad for you why are we eating more why bill it's it's delicious i mean it absolutely is these these companies have been working for 50 or 60 years on formulations of stuff and it looks good when you when you see these interesting colors you want to eat it it tastes good it's got high enough kids kids would fall for that but adults
Starting point is 00:18:27 i mean they know that they're look cigarette smoking is a narcotic it makes you calm down but the government has succeeded in knocking out most cigarette smoking in this country by scaring people. That's what they did. Right? And it worked. It worked. They definitely scared people, but what we did is, is we replaced cigarettes with something else. If you look at, you know, all the scare tactics around cigarettes, at the same time, you've got the rise of orange mocha frappuccinos from Starbucks. So we replaced a lot of those cigarettes with food. All right. That's a good point. But still, Americans aren't that cognizant of what they're doing, in my opinion. And then they go to the doctor and they get the blood tests and they're
Starting point is 00:19:16 type 2 diabetic already. And they're 40, 50 pounds overweight. And they're absolutely not. They're not paying attention to what they're putting in their body because you have to do it every day, three or four times a day. And I'm not a cook. See, I don't cook. So I got to figure out what I'm going to eat. And 90% of my options are bad. Yes. I mean, unless I want just broccoli and you can't put any butter on it or lagoons, you know, but if I want a steak, that's bad. If I want pasta, that's bad.
Starting point is 00:19:57 So I think people give up because they're just- If you go out there onto the internet, and you spoke about this earlier, if you go out there on the internet, you will find every level of crazy and everything in between. And so you'll find people who are saying steaks the worst thing for you and butter's the worst thing for you. And then people on the other side will say, well, don't eat any fruit because that's bad for you. And it becomes maddening out there.
Starting point is 00:20:25 But all foods you listed are excellent for you. Let me stop. What is the truth about fruit? So I like a glass of orange juice in the morning or grapefruit juice. I thought it was healthy and now it's not because it's got sugar in it, right? So there's going to be sugar in stuff, but it's the natural sugar versus the added sugar. Okay, what's a difference? What's a difference? So molecularly, there's no difference, but it's what you're expecting. So if you're drinking
Starting point is 00:20:58 orange juice and it's great orange juice from South Florida, that's, you know, nothing in it other than just juice, it's got a certain amount of sugar in it. But if you get the cheaper stuff, it's going to have an extra five or 10 grams of sugar. But you don't even really perceive that. I look at the label, though. I look at every label of what I put into my body. Look, you'd be surprised at how old I am. I got the same waist size I had in college.
Starting point is 00:21:25 But it ain't easy, okay? No. It's not easy because there's a craving for dessert. I eat a couple of desserts a week. All right? I'm not a Spartan. But when I'm drinking my orange juice, I'm going, I think this is okay, but I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:21:42 So what I want, and I'm probably wrong on this, is the government to take a more proactive approach and almost put warning labels on the soft drinks that have 80 grams of sugar in them. The best coast just got better. Introducing Quantum of the Seas sailing from L.A. this fall. Conquer next level thrills on the boldest ship in the West, like Flowrider Surf Sessions, Bumper Cars,

Starting point is 00:22:28 I just mailchimp my marketing. You mail chimped your what? I mailchimped my marketing with AI to create an effective marketing campaign in minutes. No, mail chimp and way. Yes, MailChimp in way. Now I can hyper-personalize my campaigns across email and SMS. You can do all that with MailChimp. What did I just MailChimp and say?
Starting point is 00:22:46 MailChimp your marketing with the number one AI-powered email marketing and automation platform. Intuit MailChimp. Number one, based on publicly available data on competitors, customers. Plans vary. SMS available as add-ons. Visit MailChimp.com. I want warning labels, just like on a cigarette packs. Is that food police craziness?
Starting point is 00:23:05 That is not food police craziness. I think that we really need to define ultra-processed foods and put those labels right on the front for people. Why haven't they done it then? With obesity at 40 percent, 4-0 for American adults, come on. Why haven't the government done it? You got to follow the money. There's very, very powerful people and very powerful companies out there that put a lot of money
Starting point is 00:23:32 into the pockets of people that represent us. And this is not just a Republican issue. or a Democrat issue, this is an everybody issue because food is so prevalent. And we've got to have people that are making decisions who say, I don't want your money. I'm going to make decisions based on stuff that's good for the American people. All right. And there's one thing else. A lot of people I'm generalizing here who are grossly overweight, obese, are poor.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I have a lot of money. And the fast food stuff is cheap. Does that play into it? So socioeconomic status definitely plays into it. If you don't have a whole lot of, if you don't have a whole lot of money, you probably don't have a whole lot of time. And I know that goes against what some people think. People think people are just sitting around doing nothing. But you're probably working a job or two jobs that are not the greatest in the world.
Starting point is 00:24:29 And so you can sit there and I can sit there and we can look at these labels, but other people don't necessarily have that time. And when you get home late at night, you've got to put something on the table. Right. The kids need to keep. It's convenient. You're tired. I can drive through the window. They throw the bag at me and it's garbage.
Starting point is 00:24:47 All right. I hope RFK Jr., that's the, you know, if he makes it a campaign and really wages this, an aggressive way, he'll save a lot of lives. And we appreciate your time very much tonight, Scott. Thank you. Okay. And I do that segment because I, we want you guys. to be healthy you know I've seen it I know what I know what diabetes is I don't have it thank God but it is in my DNA and I got to tamp it down like crazy because a lot of
Starting point is 00:25:20 it's heredity and I'm not out in you know riding horseback for five hours a day and doing all that stuff I'm sitting on my butt talking to you guys so but I don't want I just I want everybody to be as healthy as they can be all right let's go back to the Swamp in D.C. There's a guy named Hayden Dubla, D-U-B-L-I-S. And he is an analyst, a political analyst. He writes a column this week about how all of the departments of the federal government are heavily staffed by Democrats.
Starting point is 00:25:59 And the research is excellent, okay? And you want Swamp and you know why Trump has so many problems, why he's getting sued and all of it and everybody's saying oh no no no this is why so the housing and urban development okay people who work there 72% Democrat 15% Republican all right state department Democrats 74 Republican 18 health and human services just talking about it with Bobby Kennedy 63% Democrat 19% Republican Justice Department justice department FBI, all of that, 63% Democrat, 20% Republican, education, 68% Democrat, 26th Republican. And Labor, 60% Democrat, 18% Republican.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Now, some of them didn't give their registration. Some of them are independents, which is why it doesn't add up to 100. And the reason this is, is because if you want to work in the federal government, government, you have to live in Washington. Now, there are jobs outside, but this is Washington base, and only 6.5% of the entire population of D.C. voted for Trump. Okay? They hate them. And so Democrats go into government. You live in Maryland, Virginia, in the district. There's a lot of federal jobs, and they pay well. But when you have have that kind of monolithic because those are the people those are the worker bees okay so that
Starting point is 00:27:43 it doesn't matter that rubio secretary of state he gives the order and the people carry out are all democrats fascinating Boston ice showdown now this is where I think Holman is going to come up against it in Boston all right and I know the city as well as anybody all right I went to school there I worked at the two local stations there. I love Boston. The mayor is Michelle Wu, far left. Basically says, I'm not going to obey any federal immigration law. That's what Michelle says.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Makes no, I was in, not going to do it. The police commissioner, a guy named Michael Cox, NASA is the same thing. But listen to this. Cox has done an excellent job in Boston. on crime. Boston's a very liberal city, but the crime is not nearly as intense as it is here in New York in Philadelphia, in Baltimore, on and on and on, because Boston has a very smart community policing program, and it tamps down the offenders, makes it very difficult for the offenders
Starting point is 00:29:00 to operate because they have a community relationship. So Cox has done an excellent job on crime, but he refuses to deal with undocumented alien crime. Roll the tape. You know, in the Boston Police Department has pretty defined rules set by the law, and we abide by the law here in the state, and we don't enforce civil detainers regarding federal immigration law. it's you know it's defined here in the state and that's just how it works well you've lined up the state how do you navigate the difference between the state the city of boston and washington dc and so i can't you know it's hard enough to run the boston police department i could never fathom you know running outside of that all right that interview is done on my alma mater
Starting point is 00:29:55 wcb channel 5 in boston still a very fine station um now Now, you notice that the police chief says we don't enforce civil detainers. That's against federal law. The police commissioner could be arrested. Now, is Christy Noem going to do that? Is Tom Holman going to do that? He could be arrested. You can't have state and local law defy federal law.
Starting point is 00:30:31 federal law is the top. It overrides the others. And he admitted, we get a detainer from ICE. Holman wants us to keep somebody because the feds want to investigate the person. We're not keeping them. This episode is brought to you by San Pellegrino Chau. Terms apply. See Chevron-Texicoewards.com for more details. Now, if me, and it would break my heart to do it, I would go in and arrest both Wu and Cox. That's what I would do, because you're never going to solve the problem. if this kind of sanctuary stuff continues. And Boston is worse than California. There are some cities in California that do cooperate with ICE.
Starting point is 00:32:08 And Boston is by far the largest city in New England. It's blank here. We're not cooperating. So that's going to come to a head. You wait and see. I'm on it. I'm going to Boston soon. I hope they listen to me.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Smart life. All right. You want to retire? Where do you go? Okay, how about the 10 most expensive places, states in the country? Here they are. You might want to figure this out. Most expensive place to retire is Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:32:40 You need more than $2 million in savings to go there. Massachusetts second, about $1.7. California 3rd, 16. Alaska, very expensive. One, two. New York, ridiculous, because it's a lot of. taxation to retire here, one three, this is, you need a million three to retire in any kind of comfort. New Jersey, one, two, Vermont, one, two, that's because it taxes Vermont and is
Starting point is 00:33:16 freezing there. Washington State, Maine, and Arizona. So those are the top 10. Arizona, that's interesting, isn't it? A lot of people retire at Arizona. I don't know too many people retire to Maine. I love Maine, but it's really cold and that's seven months. It's going to be a little frostbite. Smart life. This day in history, February 18, 1885. So you remember the book Tom Sawyer. The sequel was Huckleberry Finn. Is Huckleberry Finn? That book came out 140 years ago today. Why do I care? Why should you care? One of the best books in American history. Mark Twain, who's, of course, named was Samuel Clemens. Twain was a pen name. He wrote the book about Huck Finn, who was Tom Sawyer's friend. Tom Sawyer was a huge hit. Twain was the most successful novelist in America, and it's still a legend today. Problem with Huck Finn is that it had the N-word all over it. It was about a runaway slave, and Huckleberry Finn, was a kid like Tom Sawyer, and he tried to help Jim the runaway slave. But there was the N-word in front of Jim's name.
Starting point is 00:34:33 All right. So back then when it came out, there was a big controversy, okay? In Massachusetts, banned the book, and all right. And now is still controversy. Connecticut, New York, and Virginia are trying to censor. Take the N-word out of Huckleberry Finn. all right now the novel has sold 20 million copies and you should read it if you have it you should read both tom sawyer and huck finn because it captures perfectly the era of america that mark twain lived in and the characters are great and twain's a great witty writer um but anyway it was released 140 years ago today final thought about a big announcement in a moment Okay, here is a final thought.
Starting point is 00:35:23 So tomorrow, you got a huge announcement, a wave, and it has to do with a media thing. And you're going to be surprised. So we're going to make the announcement and final thought tomorrow on the NOSPN News News, then I'm going to go on Cuomo on News Nation at 8 o'clock. I will discuss the major announcement there. Now, this announcement, I think, is going to. make you happy and you may be able to participate in it okay so it's just not me it's
Starting point is 00:35:59 you too and it's big and it's fun so i can't tell you anymore because there's a lot of people involved and whenever there's a lot of people involved it gets complicated as they say you And one of the best things about me leaving Fox News almost eight years ago was I never had to deal with a corporation again. So for 42 years, I worked for corporations. And some of them were okay, most of them were not. And I was not a corporate guy ever. My best experience was actually at Fox under Roger Ailes, but once Ailes left, then it was
Starting point is 00:36:43 free fire zone. Anyway, when I left, I started my own corporation. and I have to answer to anybody. Now, I don't have to answer to anybody still. And that makes me very happy because there's nobody telling me what I can and can't do. But this project that we're going to announce tomorrow
Starting point is 00:37:00 does involve other folks. And I think it's going to be good, but I'm not 100% sure, but you're going to be surprised. And I hope delighted. I never used that word, but I'd just give you one more. When I told my son about it, who now I have locked in the basement so he doesn't say anything to anybody, he was jazzed. He was jazzed.
Starting point is 00:37:31 21 political science major, very smart. Oh, wow. So that's a good endorsement. All right, so that's a tease.
