Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, stand up for your country. Well, a bit of a lull in politics, and that's the big story, of course, because so much is at stake in November. But right now, it's politics as usual, as a cliche goes, both sides sniping at each other. We'll ramp up on Monday with the Democratic Convention in Chicago. It should be a bunch of storylines there. That'll be interesting. But as I've analyzed, the Republicans should win this election, not only the presidency, but the Senate and the House, easily.
Starting point is 00:00:51 easily, but it does not look like that's going to happen because the GOP and their candidate Donald Trump making too many mistakes. And it's not too late to course correct. They could zero in on what's really important to the American people, and that isn't skin color or crowd size. And I talk about that with Hannity on his radio program today. I've got to post it on bill o'Reilly.com. So I put three themes out that if Donald Trump would just basically hammer those three home, wherever he goes, and the Republicans would back him up, it went. The Talking Points memo this evening is about deceit at the grocery store. Now, this is issue number one that I talked to Hannity about. Everybody in this country
Starting point is 00:01:51 has been negatively affected by the high price of food. Everybody. Even if you have billions of dollars, you're paying a lot more for food than you did four years ago. Fact. Kamala Harris will blame it on Trump, but everybody knows that's ridiculous. Biden did it, and I'll explain how. So, food prices under Biden Harris up 20%. That's a lot.
Starting point is 00:02:21 And that's according to the Federal Reserve Bank analyzing Bureau of Labor Statistics. You want back up, you want facts, you got it. 20% up. Have you heard that question be posed to Kamala Harris? No, because she doesn't take any questions. But that's question number one. Madam, under your regime, under your administration, you and Joe Biden, food price is up 20%. Why? And she'll go, Trump did it. But, you know. Okay. Now, the reason food prices have spiked
Starting point is 00:02:59 is because on day one, when Biden walked in there and Kamala was following, he issued executive orders directed at crippling the American energy industry. All right? Let me repeat that. Executive orders to cripple the American energy industry. Why? Because that's what the climate people wanted, the far-left climate people. So he limited drilling on federal land. He limited refinery of oil by slapping regulation after regulation after regulation. So the American fuel companies had to pay a lot more to harvest and get the oil and gas to the market.
Starting point is 00:03:47 place. And so they passed that cost to us. So the truck drivers driving all the food into the grocery store had to pay 30, 40 percent more than they paid under Trump. And that was slapped on the food products, what you eat every day. Do we all understanding this? I hope so. Americans don't want to think about economics, but you need to know what happened here. In addition, COVID depleted a lot of the workforce in the restaurants and in the grocery stores. There were fewer workers. So to attract workers, the big grocery stores had to pay more money, salaries. And, of course, they passed that on by raising prices of food.
Starting point is 00:04:36 So you got a one-two punch, boom, boom. You got the fuel companies raising prices on transportation and getting everything to the marketplace. And then in the store, you had to pay more money to have. have the people check you out or stock the shelves. And then food prices went through the roof. So now the Biden-Kommela crew is saying, oh, inflation is coming down. This is the deceit. Oh, inflation's coming down.
Starting point is 00:05:06 That's true. The rate of inflation is coming down. It was reported today. And all the Democrats, yeah, yeah, yeah. Prices aren't coming down. Prices stand right where they were. But the growth of those prices is coming down. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And that's because consumers are spending less because they don't have any money. That's why. So, grocery store restaurant prices, fast food prices, whatever it may be, not coming down. That's how the Biden administration has hurt us, all of us. I'm trying to be as simple as I can here. You will never hear that from the corporate media, never, in a million years. But that's issue number one, because all of us, even the Kamala Harris supporters, they got to know you're paying a lot more for food. But Kamala's going to deceive them.
Starting point is 00:06:02 No, no, no, I'm bringing it down. I'm going to do it. Look, over the next few days, Harris and Biden going out on the road, going to give his little presentation. Now, we're bringing it down. Well, it's too late. Three and a half years, you're playing time. Then there is the unfortunate reality in America that politicians at the highest level can absolutely lie to us, deceive us.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Here's the best example I could ever give you. Go. I mean, no president's had the run we've had in terms of creating jobs and bringing down inflation. It was 9% when I came to office. 9%. But look, people have a right to be concerned. Ordinary people.
Starting point is 00:06:55 It doesn't get clearer than it. Biden says to the American people that when he took office, inflation was 9%. You know what it really was? 1.4% according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. 1.4% when Trump walked out of office. Biden says it's time. Now, how many times have you heard the phrase Trump lies?
Starting point is 00:07:21 A million? And Trump does deceive. I mean, when he goes out and says everybody in the country wanted Roe v. Wade to be knocked out, that's not true. But it's more of an exaggeration. And I'm not sticking up from Trump. He shouldn't say it. But this is just a lie. And the interviewer on CNN, Aaron Burnett,
Starting point is 00:07:50 that is so easy to challenge. No challenge. The Biden-Harris people know that. And even though that's the reality, Harris still won't talk to anybody. On the slight chance that it may be a tough question that she can't answer. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
Starting point is 00:08:13 national debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets, and meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Starting point is 00:09:17 Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, newsmakers, and even the President of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode.
Starting point is 00:09:59 So it's a bleak landscape politically in this country now. And, you know, if Donald Trump wants to win, he's got to be smarter in his statements, to the press, and at his rallies, he's got to focus it on three things. Inflation, border chaos, and social disorder, all the realities. That's a memo. Vice President Harris is prepping for her speech a week from Friday, going over it. They're rewriting it a million times. That's what she's doing. Tomorrow, as I mentioned, it's going to Maryland with President Biden to discuss the progress
Starting point is 00:10:52 they're making to lower costs for the American people. I don't want to be cynical about this, but come on. There should be nobody at that rally. And then she is going on a bus tour with Governor Walls around the Pittsburgh area on Sunday. Thomas was going to be in the bus, making multiple stops. No press? No. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Trump is in Asheville, North Carolina today, giving a rally at the Cherokee Center. And he's going to talk about economic hardships created by Harris Biden. So maybe he'll watch the NOSPN News and he'll pick up what I just told you in the talking points memo. On Saturday, Donald Trump is in, let's see, Wilkesbury, where I started my career, Wilkesbury Scranton, Channel 16. And he's giving a rally at the Mohegan Sun Arena there. So what's new? I got one thing that you may not know. There's not a lot new, as I said, it was kind of a lull here.
Starting point is 00:12:05 So, Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug M.off, file a joint tax return. And it's made public. So the Washington Examiner picked up that they have been donating money over a three-year period to a group called Legal Aid, D.C. What is Legal Aid, D.C.? Well, the group describes itself as providing services to impoverished Washington residents. Okay, they work with the poor. However, they are very political and they have called for slashing police budgets and decreasing patrolling in high crime areas. That means. The
Starting point is 00:12:45 signal error is black areas. This is a group that believes that African Americans don't get any justice. Now, crime in the District of Columbia, which is run by the feds, through the roof, particularly carjackings, violent crime, all of that. And this group Legal Aid is donating, you know, calling for, we want fewer police and no patrols. That makes sense to anybody. Well, Harris pumping money in there. Why?
Starting point is 00:13:15 Why? See, these are the kind of question she couldn't possibly answer. And she needs to explain those donations. There is a group evangelicals for Harris, all right? and they are having a Zoom call today, all right? And they claim that Kamala Harris' life of public service is a reflection of her faith in Christ. Wow.
Starting point is 00:13:43 So that means that the Nazarene would be, if he were here today, saying, we don't want any limits on abortion. You imagine Jesus saying that? I'm not sure you would. Being a little cynical here, but come on. No surprise, though. Evangelicals for Harris is run by a woman named Iquemini-U-Wan. There's Icomini.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Okay? She runs the organization. She loves Kamala. Well, in 2019, we found an interesting sound bite from, not a soundbite or a statement from her, all right, that she made in Dallas, Texas, quote, we have to understand something. Whiteness is wicked. It is wicked. It's rooted in violence. It's rooted in theft. It's rooted in plunder. It's rooted in power. It's rooted in privilege, unquote.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Okay, so now we have Harris throwing in with Icomini, who hates white people. Apparently, whiteness is wicked. I guess that's hatred, right? So now she's given money to an organization that doesn't want the police around, and she is endorsed by somebody who doesn't like white people. In the past, a politician would say, no, I don't want that endorsement, not taking it. So if the Ku Klux Klan endorsed Trump, Trump would go, no, right? Not Harris.
Starting point is 00:15:31 This is what I mean. This is why you're watching the no-spin news and listening on the radio to it. There is a pattern of behavior here. It's frightening to me as an American citizen. Okay, let's go to the convention in Chicago. So the crazy people who are marching under the banner coalition to march on the DNC. Okay? Thousands are showing up.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Well, a federal judge, Andrea Wood, said, you can't go very close to the convention center. You've got to stay on a route that is away from where the, conventions being held. So the group coalition to march on the DNC is appealing, not ruling. But it doesn't matter. They're not going to obey the law anyway. They're going to try to shut down a city to get attention. The same thing they always do. There will be violence. There will be arrests. And Chicago police are 1,200 light from where they should be. They need 1,200 more officers to be up to full strength. They don't have enough people. They're not going to control it. I mean, there are about 11,000 Chicago police officers. There will be many more demonstrators
Starting point is 00:17:00 than that. They're not going to be able to control them. So, the National Guard, the most left-wing governor we could find, is in charge of Illinois. Pritzker. She called out the guard? No. Not yet. He says the guard will have an advisory role. Well, that means that they burn Chicago down, then they'll be called in. And I don't even know if Joe Biden knows there's a convention. He's supposed to speak Monday, by the way. So he hasn't called out the guard.
Starting point is 00:17:32 He could. Pritzker and Biden could. They should have the guard already there. Already there. But they're not. Just like January 6th, right? And one more note on the DNC, Biden is speaking Monday night to get him the hell out of there.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Democrats don't want anybody being reminded, Joe Biden. Chicago's mayor, Brandon Johnson, named the worst sanctuary mayor in the country. This designation by the Immigration Reform Law Institute, it published a list of the 10 worst sanctuary mayors yesterday. Okay, Chicago has welcomed about 50,000 migrants, spent 150 million to provide for them. I don't have any money. All right. Mayor Johnson is the most permissive sanctuary mayor.
Starting point is 00:18:31 The other four in the top five are Eric Adams, our pal in New York City. Michael Johnston, Denver, Colorado, Kelly Gritz. Athens, Georgia, Muriel Bowser, Washington, D.C. There they are, ladies and gentlemen, most permissive sanctuary mayors. Now, in New York, which doesn't have any money, and New York is so desperate for money that if you drive into New York City, and remember, if you live in Queens or Bronx or Brooklyn or Staten Island, you probably have a car. It's just Manhattan that you can't have, you know, you have to pay an enormous amount of
Starting point is 00:19:13 money to garage your car. So if you live in a four out of five boroughs, you got a car. So what Adams has done, the mayor, he slapped the 25 mile an hour speed limit on all the boroughs in New York with camera backup. So you're tooling down two in the morning and nobody's on the road. You do $30,100 in the mail. Tell me, that's entrapment. number one, all right? And I think it's theft number two. That's how desperate New York City is for money. Hey, it's Sean Spicer from the Sean Spicer Show podcast, reminding you to tune into my show every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. President Trump and his team are shaking up Washington like never before, and we're here to cover it from all sides, especially
Starting point is 00:20:06 on the topics the mainstream media won't. So if you're a political junkie on a late lunch or getting ready for the drive home. New episodes of the Sean Spicer Show podcast drop at 2 p.m. East Coast every day. Make sure you tune in. You can find us at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning, I'll bring you the stories that matter,
Starting point is 00:20:32 plus the news people actually talk about, the juicy details in the world's of politics, business, pop culture, and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. They've spent $5 billion on migrants. Shelter, food, you name it. Housing and rent, services and supplies, food, medical costs, other costs, $5 billion so far. And no end.
Starting point is 00:21:12 insight. No insight. Mayor Adams, hey, come on in. You can't pay it. You got to borrow it. Or the state of New York has to give it. That means all of our taxes in the city and state of New York have to go up. There you go. Let's go over to the UK. All right. Terrible story. awful. So July 29th, a few weeks ago, all right, in northwest England, there was a Taylor Swift theme class in a town called Southport, small town, pretty near Liverpool. The guy walks in, Axel Rudacubana he's from Rwanda
Starting point is 00:22:06 but he is a British subject not a Margaret walks in to the place where this class is little girls he stabs to death BB King age 6 Elsie Stancombe
Starting point is 00:22:21 age 7 Alice Aguar age 9 6 7 9 this guy who's now 18 years old stabs them to death, and then stabs ten other people, all right, who suffered significant stab wounds. So he's arrested, okay, and he's charged with murder, as you would imagine. The anti-migrant forces in the U.K., mostly right-wing, demonstrate, okay, sometimes violently.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And a lot of cops get hurt. So, so far, the British police have arrested 1,000 individuals in these demonstrations. And they continue. And all the countries in Europe are afraid that it's going to spread them to their country. Now, here's the kicker. The UK justice system is a lot more efficient than America. So most of the rioters in the George Floyd situation weren't prosecuted. Nothing happened to them.
Starting point is 00:23:32 Same thing with Antifa in Portland, Oregon. Nothing. UK already has convicted a whole bunch of these thousand and given them stiff prison terms. They don't mess around over there. You do it. You're in court. There's a trial. You plead guilty.
Starting point is 00:23:50 You're not. Boom, boom, boom. You're in jail. But that's not going to stop this, because the people in Great Britain are furious. Because they've been overrun by foreign nationals, just as we have. And Great Britain, England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, lots smaller. So the impact is greater. It's going on over there.
Starting point is 00:24:19 You're so sorry for those little girls. I, you know, those of you who have raised girls, as I have, girl, I just can't imagine. I just can't imagine that the pain, I don't know how I would go on. All right, Dr. Anthony Fauci, testing positive for COVID, third time. Third time. He's been vaccinated six times. So is this karma? What do you think?
Starting point is 00:24:48 So he got COVID again. 83, so I'm not laughing. This is a serious situation. And we don't wish disease on anyone. Even our worst enemies, we don't wish disease on them. That would be terrible. So we hope. I thought she gets better soon. But I got a report. What happens? Media madness. A good story. Ready? All right. So there is an anchor on CNN. Our name is Caitlin. Collins, I think she's pretty talented.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Myself, young anchor. A lot better than I was at her age. And she goes on Colbert, because Colbert is basically part of the Democratic Party now. So the Democratic Party should be paying CBS money. Because every night, that's what Colbert does. The Democrats are great. That's what he does. So he's got Ms. Collins on, of course.
Starting point is 00:25:50 talking about Trump. Go. He's not really sure how to go after Vice President Harris. He knew his attack lines on President Biden. He really has struggled with how to go after someone who's 20 years younger than him, who is a different gender, a different race. It's kind of been this moment where he has not been able to coalesce around a single attack line. I know you guys are objective over there that you just report the news as it is. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:26:18 CNN makes it. Is that supposed to be a laugh line? I wasn't supposed to be, but I guess it is. So Colbert's own audience turns on him. That was a serious thing. He wanted to try to tell his audience at CNN is, oh, they're fair. They just report the news.
Starting point is 00:26:35 And his own audience laughs at him. I mean, as somebody who's been in that theater with Letterman, many, many times, it's pretty interesting. Again, Democratic Party, you should be kicking money to CBS for that guy. Smart Live, booze. So most people drink, most people I know drink. I don't drink.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Never have. And I got a lot of racist comments like, you're Irish and you don't drink. I'm not offended. I guess I should be when people say, oh, you're Irish, you don't drink? Like every Irish person is an alcoholic? I go, no, if I drank, I'd be in a penitentiary, which is true. So if I tried to assess, I'd be up doing time. So anyway, I'm not a big booze guy.
Starting point is 00:27:33 And because I haven't drank throughout my life, I estimated I have saved $1 million or more. Now, if you want to go out to drink in a decent place, it's $15 for a cocktail, maybe 20. It's insane. Why are you doing that? Now, I have a rule that I will not deal with intoxicated people. If you're drunk, I'm gone.
Starting point is 00:27:59 You know, buzz, I don't care. It's up to you, a little wine or beer, whatever. But I don't interact with people who are inebriated. I don't. And if I see them getting in a car, I'll stop them. Physically stop them. but I'm not drugs I hate
Starting point is 00:28:20 I hate it and there's no comparison between taking narcotics and having a glass of wine or a beer none. They try to make it that way but it isn't. Okay I wanted you to know where I'm coming from when I report this story. So according to
Starting point is 00:28:37 UK going back to Great Britain BioBank, they surveyed 135,000 adults, studied them for 12 years their drinking habits. Their findings. Light drinking associated with a higher risk of cancer and other health problems, especially in low-income errors. Okay. Moderate drinking linked to higher risk of death cancer and all other causes. Heavier drinking means you're going to die soon. Cardiovascular cancer, you name it. So Dr. Rosario Ortolla led this study, stated there's no beneficial association
Starting point is 00:29:22 for drinking. None. Nothing good about it. That's his point of view. All right, there's a Gallup poll here in the United States. All right. It's conducted in July. And found out 45% of Americans, all Americans, all right, believe drinking, alcohol in moderation. That's one, two drinks a day, unhealthy, up six percentage points from last year, 17 percentage points, up from 2018. Okay? So half the population goes, we know it's bad. And, but a lot of people just, they want to relax.
Starting point is 00:30:09 You know, it's interesting, I can always tell when I get mail and somebody's drunk. Always, and it goes right in the bin. But I can always tell. That's the smart life segment. And I'm not going to tell you not to drink. I'm not. Not my job. I'm not even going to advise.
Starting point is 00:30:31 I tell you to cut down on the sugar. And if you're boozing it big, I'll tell you to cut down on that. But if you want to have a glass of water, a couple beers. I mean, I've got no problem with that. All right, San Francisco. So August 1st, the last Denny's, which was on Mission Street, if you know, near Union Square, if you know the town, and I know it very well, closed. So no more Denny's in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Why? Because people were coming in, they were ordering the Grand Slam, and then they were running out the door. They weren't going to pay. Because they knew two things, that nobody's going to chase them out of Denny's. No personnel is going to chase them down the street. and even if they did and they were caught, San Francisco wouldn't prosecute them. So why not go to Denny's or any other restaurant, eat your fill, and run out the door. Denny said, we can't do business here.
Starting point is 00:31:24 In addition, the hotel industry is collapsing in the city by the Bay, which is one of the most beautiful cities, just natural beauty in the country, in the world. So tax revenue this year, $253 million from the hotel industry, in San Francisco. In 2019, before COVID, it was $408 million. It's a collapse. Revenue from rooms, they've had to drop the room rates. It's down 60 to 80% in the tourist hotels. Nobody's going. And they're not going because of a social disorder. Because if you walk around Union Square, you're going to be stopped 10 times, 12 times. and people are going to demand money from you. If you have children, they're going to gross the kids out.
Starting point is 00:32:19 The only place that doesn't happen is Chinatown. Very interesting. Last time I was in San Francisco, I have my son and my nephew with me, and we took the stroll up to Chinatown. No homeless, no social disorder at all, none. Across the street was a tenderloin district. There they are. legions of addicted zombies, just walk across the street, not in Tintan.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Why? Because of the Tongues, T-O-N-G-S, the gang, criminal gang. They police Chinatown in San Francisco. And if you're bothering anybody there, you're not going to come out of there unbruised, if you know what I'm talking about. We're trying to town No problem Rest of the town Social disorder all over the place
Starting point is 00:33:16 And you know what I don't feel sorry for The people, the residents of San Francisco You want to do it? You voted for them You voted for them By a lot You want to progress the town, you got it Now you got nowhere to eat
Starting point is 00:33:33 You got declining revenues all over the place Real estate values are down, everything's down Plus, if you have children, you can't even go outside. You know whose fault it is? Your fault. You cast the ballot. Not everybody, obviously, but most. Stay in history, August 14th, 1965.
Starting point is 00:33:56 The Beatles appeared for the last time on Ed Sullivan. Go. Okay, now my life, I want to see any way I need pain. My independence seems to banish in life. Okay, so Beatles came over, 64. or that was in 65, 59 years ago. Boy, do they clean up. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:42 When a big concert, tour, they're everywhere. And in the United States, they sold. Ready? The Beatles. 1.6 billion single records. Used to have records. 1.6 billion, 177 million albums. So, obviously, this is the biggest consumer market in the world here.
Starting point is 00:35:06 in the United States. And the Beatles raked it up. Now, here's an interesting aside. I did not go to the concert the next day after the Ed Sullivan show, which was August 15, 1965. I didn't go because I was, you know, 15 years old and didn't have any money and whatever. They only did 45 minutes at Chase Stadium where the Mets played and you couldn't hear them because the screaming of the fans were so loud and they bolted off that stage they were worried everybody was worried that they were gonna rush the stage and and get them all right we got a lively mail segment and a whole bunch of stuff to accomplish in the final thought let me just see what I wrote
Starting point is 00:36:00 down here. Okay, yes, a very interesting thing in the final thought about the no-spin news in Europe. Coming right back. Okay, here's a final thought of the day. We are not on in most European countries because of the general data protection law, GDPR. That law says that anybody in Europe can sue any website for anything at any time. So no private website. websites are going to buy into that. So you got to fill out paperwork and like to get on in Switzerland, they get on in Italy, to get on, I'm going to, you got to fill out all this paperwork on it. But if they say, okay, you can get sued every day, all day. And you got to answer those suits. So why would anybody do that? The anecdote is YouTube. We love YouTube. YouTube
