2025, stand up for your country. Another day, another controversy, or four or five. It really is madness in Washington. All right, but there's one story everybody's missing. And I am not missing it. which is why you're here, and that is the subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo.

It is now Donald Trump versus Vladimir Putin. Stare down, big time. Could get very intense. It's all about Ukraine, of course. As we reported, the Ukrainians after being brow beaten by Donald Trump have agreed to a ceasefire

for 30 days. In that time, there would be a peace negotiation, but Russia has to cooperate. Now, Putin today said, yeah, maybe I will, but maybe I won't. Okay. Now, Putin is evil, and I know a tremendous about him, tremendous amount about him, from researching my upcoming book, confronting evil. And this is a bad man. I think, and I could be wrong, that he is insane.

All right, let that sink in. I don't think he's rational. Bad Vlad Putin. I could be wrong, I'm not a psychiatrist, but I am not wrong about this. It's a showdown between Donald Trump and Putin. So we can expect a lot of back and forth, all right? Russia's not going to do this, Putin's not going to do that. You'll hear it every hour on the hour.

Don't get emotional about it. I will tell you what's real and what isn't real. There is a negotiation going on now behind the scenes between the Trump administration, Steve Witkoff, and Lavrov, the foreign minister and second most powerful man in Russia. Okay? And they're setting the table for a ceasefire

that I think Putin is going to have to do because he knows that if he does it, President Trump will have to attack him. Now, what do I mean by that? This is very important for you to understand. Trump cannot back down from Putin. He cannot look weak. Can't do it.

All right? So Putin is unreasonable. After all the emotion that Trump's put into Ukraine, Trump's got to punish him. And how that will happen would be unbelievably strict economic sanctions. far more than they have now. Trump will close the banking system all over the world to Russian money.

That's what will come. Now, if some banks defy Trump, they'll go out of business because American Express, for example, will do business so there's a million different ways that Donald Trump as President of the United States can punish any bank that doesn't cooperate. So Russia's whole financial system will collapse. That's how Trump is going to go after Putin

if Putin doesn't cooperate. Putin knows that. that. He knows. Okay. And Russian economy is weak anyway. So I don't know in and out. I can't possibly know that, but I do have the best sources in the country about what's happening inside the Trump administration, period. I do. Now, today, you may have noticed that the president met with Mark Ruta. He is the leader, the Secretary General of NATO. He came to Washington. That's not an accident.

So NATO and America have to join together with no dissent. So bad Vlad has to know he's up against that colossus. Can't be anybody sniping. But here in America, there's plenty of sniping because the Democratic Party does not want this ceasefire. Because it would give Trump a huge victory in the eyes. of the American people. So the subversive Democratic Party, not all Democrats, but the party hierarchy, and we'll get into Schumer in a moment, Schumer's most powerful Democrat, they don't want this. No, that's why you've seen the corrupt media parrot this garbage that we went over

yesterday. So let me back this up, okay? It's always good to back it up with facts. Senator Sheldon White House is an outspoken individual, and he's close to Schumer. So White House does a lot of the public stuff, because Schumer doesn't like to do that. White House went on MSNBC, which is the outlet that all Democrats use to get a message out. And here's what he said. Could you imagine Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a great president telling Winston-Turray Churchill, you know, you're going to have to make a deal with Herr Hitler. And we're cutting off Lendlis until you do.

And by the way, you may not be able to keep your whole island. That would not have been a great president. That would have been a cowardly and shameful president. And that is the position that Donald Trump has consistently been in with respect to Zelensky versus Putin. Okay. That's ridiculous. Number one, Winston Churchill and Great Britain,

were not in any danger of losing the war at that time. They needed U.S. assistance, of course, but Hitler wasn't a lock to defeat England. In fact, in the Battle of Britain, Churchill and the British won. They beat the Luftwaffe and they beat Hitler. And Hitler never invaded England, couldn't do it, didn't have the power to do it. Okay? So that's the big deal because Ukraine can't beat Putin.

The totally different playing field, it's not the same. Now, White House doesn't know that. He's not smart enough to know it. But here's the kicker. So in February, late February of 1945, middle of February, there was a conference between among FDR, American President Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin at Yalta. Stalin, of course, the dictator of Soviet Union.

This was to figure out what to do after the Germans surrendered, which they were going to do, and they held out until May, but it was a fate of conflict. Germans lost. Okay? So what do we do? At that meeting, Franklin Roosevelt, who was ill, gave Stalin everything. Everything. Okay?

And that led to the Cold War. because Stalin just rolled across, and the Soviet troops occupied Eastern Europe, they violated everything, they did whatever they wanted. But you can't give in to Stalin And FDR did And Churchill was appalled But at that time, Churchill had any power It was America versus the Soviet Union because Britain was depleted after World War II. Churchill knew what Roosevelt was doing was given Stalin everything. So White House had no idea.

Oh, FDR never would have done that, a great prisoner. Look, I don't want to call a sitting U.S. senator names, but that guy doesn't know anything about it, about history, about anything. All he's in business to do is to undermine Trump trying to get a ceasefire in Ukraine. is a good thing. Yes, Ukraine's going to lose about 10% of its territory, and I feel terrible about that. There's no other alternative. That war will never end. Putin's not going to stop unless Trump forces him to, as Trump forced Zelensky to go to the table. Zlinski didn't want to stop the war. I don't know why. His population is being brutalized. He's not going to win.

Yeah, I understand you don't want to give away 10% of the war. territory but sometimes in history you have to do that you just have to okay so when you hear all of this stuff coming out of the Democratic Party you know that it's not true there have been many many times when wars have stopped and one side doesn't get what it wants and it's wrong it's wrong but this is not fair world. The best thing for Ukraine now is to stop the fighting, regroup, sign a mineral deal with the USA, which gets us on their turf, okay? And then hope that the Trump administration, NATO bolster the forces against Putin. I have no confidence Putin will

I got it. Every day it changes. Hopefully in three months it'll settle down and fair trade deals will be in place. I think that will happen. All right. Now, the Canadians sent a big delegation to Washington to meet with Howard Lutnik, who's the Commerce Secretary, but he's a tariff guy. Howard Lutnik. It's a New Yorker, okay, he was involved with 9-11 because his whole firm got wiped out in the World Trade Center. Close friend of Trump. So the Canadians are down, and they'll work it out, I think. So this morning I was on WABC radio, as I am every Thursday morning with Sid Rosenberg,

number one rated news talk radio in the nation's largest city, New York. And Rosembourg, you know, as everybody, because the stock market is crazy. It's correcting and people are getting hurt. So Roosevelt asked me about it, go. The word recession has become part of the vernacular again, which is not a great thing. But he has been honest. He said from day one, President Trump and Elon Musk, short-term gain will lead, short-term pain, I should say, will lead to long-term. but people are scared. Are you? No. In fact, yesterday, President Trump put my analysis of the

tariffs on true social. Wow. Yeah, I caught us by surprise, and I didn't endorse the tariffs. I just explained them. Because again, most people have no idea. So Trump gets elected the second time. He goes, look, I'm going to try to build an economy, not just for four years, but for 40 years. And I'm going to get better trade arrangements, so that happens. I think that's pretty noble of him, if it works. And I don't know whether it will work or not. Enter the media.

The media strategy now, and I know this to be true, and we're talking about all three networks and CNN. And I'm not even going to analyze the New York Times, Washington Posey, LA Times, because they're all in chaos, their economic chaos. But the five network news presentations, I'm including MSNBC, because it's now a part of NBC. Their strategy is every day, pick one or two things and frighten the American people, every day. And that's what they're doing. And that is a coordinated strategy.

By coordinated, I mean, it comes from the mindset that President Trump is evil. See, I say Vlad Putin is evil. Well, I know he's evil. There's no debate. They believe that Trump is evil. They, the media, chieftains, the people who run the operations. So the strategy is every day we're going to scare grandma, and I get the letters. I see how frightened people are.

And that will mount and mount and mount and out, and it will then diminish Trump's power. That is a strategy that's in play right now. Let's go to space. So I'm not a big space guy, but I do know that Boeing screwed up beyond belief under the Biden administration. So Boeing launched a rocket with two astronauts on it, Bush, Wilmore and Sonny Williams. It was supposed to be up in a space station for a week. They've been there for nine months. Okay?

They can't get them back down. The government, NASA, doesn't trust Boeing. And Boeing is falling apart. So it goes into an alliance with Space X, which is Elon Musk Company. It's an alliance, public, private. And Space X was supposed to take off yesterday to rescue these astronauts. Again, it was supposed to be seven days, nine months. Couldn't get them down.

Biden couldn't get them down. down okay all right so yesterday there was some mechanical small they say but who knows so they couldn't go up supposed to go up again on Friday this is Cape Canaveral down in Florida all right I'm actually praying because I take prayers every night on that these astronauts are saving get them back down but I want to play you a sound bite this is President Biden the only sound by we could find remember the astronauts were stranded in space for seven months when he was in office seven months and here's the only thing

we can find that he said go you're cooperating on a space exploration now that's the little right here from senator from Florida very close friend to mine every time my wife thinks I'm getting out of hand she says I'm going to call him and have him to send you to space I'm a little concerned he may want to send me to space because we've got to get some folks back home. I mean, what? Your wife's sending you to space? You got these people up there, you can't get them out.

That's what you got for the American public? I have said this and said this and said this. It's coming out. The horror that was the Biden White House is going to come out. I mean, that's just sixth grade, seventh grade stuff. All right, government shut down. I never cover this stuff because it usually works out in the end.

Talking to a very high-ranking Democrat this morning, can't say who it is. And that's okay. I mean, you know, if I need information, I call certain people who are no. and he says, he thinks the Democrats are going to fold and get this thing done so that the government is funded through September. Who knows? I don't know. That's what he said. I hope that happens. The guy who's holding it all up is Chuck Schumer the most powerful Democrat in the country, Senate Minority Leader. Now, Schumer, boy, I've known him so long, and he's one of those. If it's going to help Trump, we're going to now cooperate. We don't care what it is.

I mean, there's no good coming from shutting down a government when you can extend the spending bill to September. Just extend it. And then in the meantime, negotiate whatever you want to negotiate. But then, you know, shit. But Schumer's getting nervous. He's not a man of courage. but this is T and off Donald Trump

And Schumer is a Palestinian, as far as I'm concerned. You know, he's become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He's not Jewish anymore. He's a Palestinian. Now, that was a gratuitous comment based upon the subject matter. Subject matter was Schumer is trying to hold up the spending. But I wanted to play it because that's in the back of Trump's mind. And then it enters into the guy who's ice rounded up,

which I wrote about yesterday, the Palestinian sympathizer in New York City, who they're going to deport because he's on a green card and now he's in a lockup in Louisiana. But I want his case to be hurt. So there's a lot of intertwining here. But the point of the matter is that Democrats don't want to do anything to help Donald Trump. And it looks like they're willing to hurt the country

in order to carry out that strategy. Migrant front. This is an amazing story. The state of Florida spent $660 million on health care for migrants. According to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, $660 million in 2024, staggering. Thanks Joe Biden for the open border, okay? So now U.S. government is picking up most of the migrant health bills.

government picking up your bills? Maybe, but you paid into Medicare, right? So you're entitled to that. Migrants are paying into anything. Let's keep that in mind. This is crazy. In California, according to the Economic Policy Innovation Center, Epic, the state has gained the federal government to the tune of $19 billion by submitting Medicaid bills to the federal government for reimbursement when they didn't use $19 billion. The feds did give the state of California the $19 billion, sent it to them, and the state turned around and used it for health care for migrants. 19 billion. Medicaid. This is this is so. scandalous. That's Newsom and the state legislatures in Sacramento. In Boston, you remember

Mayor Wu testified last week in front of the House Oversight Committee. She hired a law firm to prep her. You know how much Boston, the city of Boston paid the law firm to prep Michelle Wu, the mayor, for that hearing? $650,000. $6.50. To all my friends in Boston, That's where your tax money is going, $650,000 to tutor Michelle Woolf for a, what, our Q&A? Another scandal, but Boston Globe? No, I don't know. Boy, this is even worse. Listen to this.

So the guy in Indiana named Jonathan Richardson, 42 years old. He kills a baby, 11-month-old daughter, strangles her. There he is. Looks like a nice guy, doesn't he? He's convicted sentence to 55 years in prison. Gets into prison, changes his name to Autumn Cordillone. Okay? Now he's demanding that the state of Indiana pay for his

operation to go from a man to a warrant. Okay, that operation is estimated to cost $150,000. The state of Indiana says, we're not paying for that. All right, we're not, you know, you and your tattoos go back to yourself. Put his face up there again. I mean, this is so outrageous. Enter the ACLU of Indiana. They sue in federal court that this murderer of an 11-month-old baby is in title to changing his gender at the expense of the taxpayers. Okay. Enter Judge Robert Young, U.S. District Court, he goes, yeah, okay, yeah.

You people in Indiana, you got to pay for the operation. All right, Young was nominated by Bill Clinton. He's a liberal guy. Okay, so now this is where it stands. This judge has ordered this creep, murderer, killer to get an operation it costs the folks of Indiana $150,000. Now, it's going to be appealed. All right, the Indiana authorities are going to appeal it, and he'll win.

In the end, this guy's not going to get it. But this is our system. How corrupt is our system? How corrupt is our system? Now, we are spending billions of dollars on migrant health care when working people don't get free health care. We got to pay for it. And a murderer like that wants an opera? I'd give him an operation. Who would I give him an operation? Believeable. Oregon. I used to live there. Beautiful state. Insane now. And it's not the state. It's Moltenoma County. That's Portland.

Because that's where most of the people live. And it's crazy left. All right. They legalize hard drugs. legalize it because it was so horrendous in Pioneer Square in Portland and front of school kids shooting up doing everything selling drugs all over the place. It was crazy. They had to stop it. And they did. Now the governor, Tina Kotech, 58 years old. Let's see Tina. There she is. She says that the state is declaring abortion provider appreciation day. Let me read. it again abortion provider appreciation day okay yeah all right so that's the governor and we if you live in oregon you got to appreciate people who do abortions here's what uh the reaction was go this proclamation is unsurprising but appalling here is the truth there is nothing to celebrate

about an industry that profits from taking advantage of vulnerable women and ending the lives of innocent human beings under the guise of health care. Okay, now the Oregonian newspaper is the only media vehicle that goes state to state. All over the state, you know, write about it. Manchin. It's so appalling that even the liberal Oregonian newspaper will go, you know, We can't make our team look that bad. Smart Life. 25% of Americans under the age of 30 say they are burnt out already, already burnt out, because they can't cope with any kind of pressure because they're weak. that's why and stress obviously the United States I believe is the most stressful free country in the world if you live under Putin okay you know or in Cuba where you can't do anything everybody's on your back but free country I think we're the most stressful because of the competition you know you got to earn a living here and a lot of people don't want that. says that he is going to handle immigration, illegal immigration, in a more humane way. So we're going to offer the following deal. If you've been in America for more than five years, if you have children who are American citizens or legal rights, or legal residence. If you register, pass a criminal background check, and you're willing to pay your fair share of taxes, you'll be able to apply to stay in this country temporarily without fear of deportation. Never happened. No, Obama wanted it to happen, but Congress would

not pass it. Nothing. But President Obama deported more people than any other president in history. In his eight years, he deported three million undocumented migrants with a record. But Congress ought to get past this loss, enough's enough. Back with a final thought about where I'll be on St. Patrick's Day. So here's the final thought of the day. I will not be here Monday, St. Patrick's Day. Usually I spend it in New York, because New York is the big Irish place, right? Parade and all or not. But I got it down to D.C. I immediately. meetings, important high-level meetings down there. I've been summoned.

I can't tell you why now, and I'll be able to report on it. But people value my opinion, people in high places, and they sometimes ask me what my take is, and I, because I love my country, I do it. I do have both Republicans and Democrats. They ask, I tell them. And as you know, I don't butter anybody up, as I told Cuomo, I give it them straight. But I back it up. I back it up.

I say, look, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. So I got to go down there on Monday. And, you know, I don't mind going to Washington. I hate to miss the show. But it's important for the country. And someday I'll be able to lay it all out for you. And, you know, but I got a, some, some of these things are very, very sensitive. But I've to tell you, in the last six months, I think we've done a lot of good here on this program.

We mentioned yesterday that President Trump put us on true social, not endorsing the tariffs because I wouldn't do that, because I don't know, but explaining them. And, you know, it caught us by surprise. And I'm glad Mr. Trump did that. So he thought my explanation of how the terrorists work was good enough to be under his name on true social. And I take that as a compliment, but if Chuck Schumer did it, I'd say the same thing. But he wouldn't do it.

I'm going to just for fun, put in a call to Senator Schumer's office for an interview. By the way, the Republican Congressman Massey, he turned us down. I knew he would. We're going to do a little thing on him next week because he's the one that's really shooting down everything that Donald Trump wants to do. So we're going to tell you why, but he won't come on.
