Starting point is 00:00:00 Governor Hockel says he's going to get that congestion pricing done before Trump is sworn in in January. Why? What is the rush here? Why is Governor Hokel? So adamant now bidding congestion pricing up and running. Do you know? Have you heard anybody tell you why? Here it is. Ready? So the new director of the Environmental Protection Agency is Lee Zeldon, who ran against Kathy Hockel, did very well against Argyne. Okay? Zeldon is in charge of the federal agency after Trump has sworn in.
Starting point is 00:00:46 The EPA can hold up New York City congestion pricing. Did you know that? by saying we need to do, on a federal level, an environmental study of the consequences of having this policy. So you can't do anything until that study is completed, Governor Hockel, which could be in 2005. Now, what needs to be studied? Well, air quality in the districts that are not involved in the tolling, for example, Harlem.
Starting point is 00:01:30 So thousands of cars will now drive to Harlem, park there, idle there, because the traffic will increase tenfold, spew stuff into the air, and then they'll take buses or subway south. or cabs because they don't want to pay nine bucks a day to get into New York City. That's just one example. Queens would happen too. So you'll have all this pollution content rising in certain New York City neighborhoods because of congestion pricing. And the feds want to study that. And the study is open-ended. So there's no congestion pricing under the Trump administration.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Did you hear that before? Did anybody tell you that? That's what's going on. Now, Hockel. So Hockel wants this, even though she is deeply unpopular. And if she had an opponent, she would lose. I think if the election were held tomorrow, Zeldon would beat her. But this is another play to get our money.
Starting point is 00:02:41 It's another tax. It's all about money. it's like the 25 mile an hour speed limit that doesn't make any difference but the city knows most people don't aren't aware that it's a 25 mile and you got cameras and it's stealing money from unaware drivers because you get a ticket in the mail you got to pay it that's what that is that's a theft the congestion pricing you'll know okay is basically we want your money If you have to come into New York City to work or whatever, you've got to pay us to come in. In addition to the state tax, the sales tax, and every tax on everything you actually do. We want more money. That's what this is.
Starting point is 00:03:36 So it's nine bucks, but it could go up and this and that. Believe me, it will go up. New York City doesn't manage its money. Just throws it right out the way. window it always has. My God. So Hogle wants the money and knows that if she doesn't get this thing in motion before Trump is inaugurated, that Zeldon will stop it. Now, there's a possibility that Fes could stop it before, you know, they could launch a suit to block it. And I think that's what will happen. They'll take it to court and say, look, we have an environmental protection agency
Starting point is 00:04:20 has a responsibility, and we don't know the negative aspects of this as far as people's health is concerned in New York City. So federal judge, we need you to block it. That might be successful. I hope it is. We the people don't need to be paying any more money to this state. highest taxes in the union, New York.
