Starting point is 00:00:00 Everybody's on Trump Watch, trial, and all that. And if something breaks, because we tape this program, Common Sense, earlier, just go to Bill O'Reilly.com. And I know W.A.B.C. will have breaking news coverage and all that. So, you know, we're prepared. Okay? So my operation, my news operation, is centered at Bill O'Reilly.com. you go there, you'll see what I say. And W.A.B.C., you know, if it comes in, I'm sure I'll be on
Starting point is 00:00:34 tomorrow with sit or whatever, talking about it. Now, I want to do something tonight kicking off the program that is a little ego maniacal, because I have a big ego, and I admit it. I try to deal with it with humor, but I have worked hard in my life, and I'm well educated, and I'm well and I'm responsible because I take my job very seriously and I've been successful and a lot of that's luck but most of it is hard work so I got a healthy ego you have to have that if you want to be in the media can't be some person who's insecure and sniveling around you got to be up front so I'm putting myself up against Governor Kathy Hogle I'm running against her for the governorship of New York State.
Starting point is 00:01:32 And I'm going to give you my campaign right now. And then you tell me if you'd vote for me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Okay, that's my address. So the first thing is I would have to move to the Albany area, probably move up to Kinderhook, where Martin Van Buren, the infamous President Van Buren, was born and raised.
Starting point is 00:01:57 I like that area up there. Get a little place up there so it can be easy commute to Albany. So the big problem in New York State is taxes. Highest tax state in the union. So my initial program, if I'm elected, and you'd have to elect traditional conservative legislatures so I get the stuff through. I could do executive orders, but I'm giving you a wish list. here. I cut the state income tax 20%. I cut the sales tax 2%. Um, I hike taxes for tourists.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Excuse me. I, but not a lot. There's pollen in the air here. But I'm giving everybody a tax cut right off the jump, all workers. So that's money in their pocket. And that's, money would be spent in New York state and city, right? Or saved, which is a good thing. Second thing I do is get the legislature to have mandatory prison sentences for a bunch of crimes. So you couldn't have the far left judges sent a violent people out on the street. Gun crimes number one. Any crime in New York State committed with a gun 10 years in the state pen. Any crime? Bodega heist, road rage, you name it. Ten years. You got a gun, you commit a crime, and you're carrying, 10 years. Drug dealing, hard drugs, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, meth. You're caught with a certain amount of it on you five years. Mandatory. First offense. Then we have escalators, because drugs are responsible most of the crime.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Okay? Rape, murder, all that. The statutes already cover that. But it's the lower level stuff. You need mandatory sentencing here, because you cannot trust the judges and the DAs. And then it would be rules for the, I'd fire Bragg. I'd fire the Bronx DA right away. And then I'd look at the other counties and the DA's not enforcement law.
Starting point is 00:04:27 I fire them. Governor has power to do it. And I put out a list of DAs, if you elect me, I'm firing these people on day one. They're out. Then I would do traffic congestion. Okay? And there, you would have more regulations on the roads. So if you're going 90, as many people do on the Long Island Expressway, that's a $1,000 fine.
Starting point is 00:04:58 A thousand. I'm giving you the gist of how I would get the state under control. My question to you, the WABC listeners, do you want that? Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com.
