And we are just chugging along here, quick week, a lot of news.
Oh, boy, tremendous amount of news.
So later on the broadcast, I'm giving you stats about how many people have left New York
in the past 10 years, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
And it's a massive amount of people leaving New York, massive.
And I'll give you the reasons why.
but the importance of the story really comes down a quality of life all right so americans the good news is
that we have freedom of movement and in a capitalist society if you are successful you have enough
assets where you can move or buy second home you know you have freedom in this country and you
got 50 states plus territories like the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, even Samoa in the
Pacific, where you can go and live and still enjoy the privileges of the Constitution of the
United States. But more and more and more, the quality of life in the United States is
differing. Okay. And in some states like New York, California, Illinois, the very liberal
states, it is becoming oppressive. The taxation is so high, it is hard to assemble
assets because the government's taking so much of your money, of your check. In addition,
trying to steal stuff from you by phony things like emissions. I had to do this yesterday.
I had to pay 40 bucks to get my car inspected for emissions, whatever that means. That's on top of getting
and the car inspected to be on the road.
And then you got, you know, the speed traps
and every con in the world is trying to separate you,
the New Yorker, from your money.
Connecticut does it too.
Jersey from a lesser extent, but they're in that game as well.
So the quality of life, if we were being taxed to the max
and we are the highest taxed state, New York,
And the quality of life was good.
The roads were perfect.
The traffic was efficiently moderated.
There wasn't so much crime and disorder on the streets of the biggest city in the state.
Then it would be, you know, you'd say, okay, it's a tradeoff.
I'm handing the government all this money, tolls and everything else, but I'm getting something back.
What are you getting back now?
What?
Now, in Long Island, there are some good school districts where the urchings can learn,
but as we reported yesterday in New York City, 36% of school children don't show up,
which is going to lead to a permanent underclass of criminals who will hurt you,
and you see it every day now.
So quality of life really is the determining factor.
on what you do on a daily basis, what job you have, what recreation you participate in, and where you
live. Right? And millions and millions and millions of New Yorkers are going, I don't want to live
here anymore. Even though we have all of the things, we have the best theater, we have the best
sports, I mean, the most teams, we have tremendous nature in the state, you know, beaches and
mountains. We got everything.
But the quality of life is deteriorated so dramatically in the past 30 years under the Democrats in Albany
that we're going to a state that offers lower taxes and more freedom.
Now, I lived in Florida. I lived in Texas. Too hot for me there. I mean, I'm neutralized from living in those states by the climate.
I can't live there. It's too hot for this Irishman.
But there are other places, New Hampshire might be too cold.
You know, there's no perfect place.
But this is going to continue because there is no move to drop taxes and to improve quality of life right now in this state.
And that is the truth.
