As I mentioned to you, perhaps the best news coverage locally of New York City and its suburbs is the New York Post.
Now, you've got to check it. It's a tabloid.
All right, so you've got to check what you read, and I do.
But they are the only ones that are really going into the micro problems that we have and laying blame and pointing out how bad situations are.
So they ran an article a couple of days ago about social disorder.
in New York City, in Manhattan in particular.
And anybody who lives in Manhattan knows what they're saying
is true, that there are legions now
of people wandering around doing antisocial things.
They're going to the bathroom on the streets.
They're using narcotics publicly.
The marijuana smoke, for example, is insane everywhere you go.
Harder drugs are being used in front of children.
There is debris all over the place, people are sleeping all over the place.
It is really obnoxious, terrible.
And it is a decline of social order, which is what the progressives want.
Because society is to blame for the problem, not the individuals who are drug addicted or criminals.
No, not their fault.
Now, that's insane.
You have to hold people accountable.
No matter how mentally ill they are, you can't just let people hurt other people and ruin the most dramatic city on the planet, New York.
And they're ruining it.
And if you go into the boroughs, you've got the same situation as well.
And there's nothing that individuals can do about it.
So you go back to Giuliani and Bloomberg, and we didn't have this social disorder because they weren't.
progressives and it's not hard to clean this up so it is against the law to
consume hard drugs at all that's possession you're breaking the law that's
number one so anybody doing that can be booked it's a misdemeanor but you can
be held maybe overnight whatever the worst thing you can do to a drug
addict is keep them away from the drugs
So if you book them and you hold them for 24, 48 hours, they go nuts.
They don't want that.
And they won't duplicate that.
They will leave and go underground where they were in the Giuliani and Bloomberg administrations.
De Blasio knocked all of this out because he didn't care.
He doesn't care about social order.
He doesn't care about you.
cares about his own stupid theories and they are stupid and then of course Adams walked
into the mess that de Blasio created in eight years and Adams has not solved any of
the problems that I can see none I mean walked on NYU and just look around Washington
Square Park come on that's a park that should be used for residents not drug
addicts so that's number one you can
make it life very difficult for these addicted people and 80% of the problem are caused by drug
addicts. All this social disorder is drug originated. Make it hard for these people. I don't want
torture them, but I want them off the streets. Okay? If you want rehab, I'm more than happy to help you
with that. I am. But wandering around? Causing destruction and mayhem? Grow some people out? No.
You have no right to do that. I don't care what disease you have. If you have leprosy, you have no right
to run around spreading leprosy. Right? Okay. So there are solutions to these problems,
but the progressives won't do it. And so you have seeing a decline. You see it in San Francisco.
You see it in downtown L.A. Chicago is a nightmare. And now New York City. And Baltimore, I mean, come on. They can't even function down there because of the drugs. So that's the truth. You have to hold the individual drug abuser accountable by making his or her life difficult.
Ugh.
