Starting point is 00:00:00 So Tom Swazzi, congratulations to him, wins the congressional state of the third district on Long Island, where I am right now talking to you. And he got 54% of the vote, Mazzi Philip, the Republican 46. Swazi beat Mazzi by 13,000 votes. Snowed, that suppressed the turnout. it did. But looking at the demographic breakdown, I think Swazi would have won anyway. He beat Mazi among white voters, 48 to 46. That was the key. Republicans had to carry white voters, and they did not. Hispanics went for Mazi, all right? 47 to 41. So a Hispanic American Americans who live in the third district on Long Island, they went for the conservative
Starting point is 00:01:05 candidate. Very interesting. Asians went for Swazi, 45, 42. That's Queens. And that was the group that I couldn't call because it's very hard to poll Asians, as we discussed. But not a big difference, but blacks broke big for Swazi, 47, 38. And that's a point. party thing. And blacks support the Democratic Party. Period is that. Okay. Now, Swazi won because he was a better campaigner, and he's a veteran guy's been in this political racket for what? Four decades? I mean, he knows how to do this. Mazi, very energetic, but her first go-around in the big time. And Swazi is more articulate than Mazi. Now, the amount of money that the two parties poured in to this race was staggering. Staggering. About $20 million. The Democrats put more in
Starting point is 00:02:16 than the Republicans by a significant margin. Why? Why? Because the Democrats need to see. Now, We're going to discuss in a national part of common sense, the close tally in the House of Representatives. But Democrats, if they had lost this seat, that would have been a disaster for them. And so all the PAC money, political action committee money, came into help Swazi and it helped. Now, both campaigns lied about the other. We went through that. What are you going to do? They lie and they can't because you can't do anything about it.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Political action committees can raise as much money as they want. They can lie all their long. If they defame you, that's different. But if they just lie about an issue, there's nothing you can do about it. And just for example, I mean, the Democrats in the Swazi campaign were saying that Mazi Philip wanted to ban all abortions. That's not true. Republicans better get a response, by the way, across the country for the abortion issue.
Starting point is 00:03:22 because there are enough women voters who put this at the top of the list. And Republicans got to have a reply to this. And they don't. They don't right now. So what we are looking at, and again, most of the people, I believe, are sincere in their belief systems. and I don't object to anybody voting for Tom Swazzi. The problem with Mr. Swazi, as I told him when I interviewed him,
Starting point is 00:03:58 is he's not going to go up against Biden. He doesn't believe what Biden believes. He's not an open border guy, Swazzi. He's not. He's a moderate. But he's not going to go up against the progressive left that controls the Democratic Party because if he does, he's canceled.
Starting point is 00:04:15 They'll boot him. Remember, he has to run again in November. Swazzi has to run again. And somebody said to me today, why don't you run against them? Because I don't want to do that. I don't want to be in Congress. My job is to watch everybody. And if I were to vacate that job, I couldn't do nearly as much good, believe me, in Congress,
Starting point is 00:04:40 then I can doing what I do. And I was flattered that somebody thought of me, but, you know, But twice he's got to run again, and they got to put a veteran up against them, the Republicans in November. Thank you.
