Starting point is 00:00:00 So President Trump held a town hall in association with the Fox News Channel, all women, in a coming, Illinois, coming Georgia. Why did I say Illinois? I got Illinois on my mind for some reason. Cummings, Georgia. And in said town hall, he was asked about illegal immigration, which is a very, very emotional and volatile issue. And Trump said, if he's elected, he is going to knock out. sanctuary cities, of which New York is at the top of the list, New York City. So number one, my question would have been, why didn't you do that in your first four years, Mr. President? Legitimate question. Had four years to knock it out, the Sanctuary City movement. He did not. And number two, what are you going to do exactly? Now, he touched on it. He said,
Starting point is 00:00:55 I don't know right in executive order, but it's not that hard to do it. Because all big cities in the country, and New York is, again, at the top of the list, get federal money in the form of grants, block grants. Congress appropriates that money, but not specifically. So New York City needs grants for education, policing, things like that, infrastructure, and the federal government sends the city money. Trump can write an executive order saying that if you do not obey, federal immigration law, you are not going to get any federal money. That would be challenged in the courts, but I think Trump would win. Because if you are an outlaw city or state, then you are not entitled to the largesse of the federal government. If you're disobeying
Starting point is 00:01:53 federal law, that's the argument. And I think that argument would prevail. So Trump could had done that his first time around, and I think should have. And I told him that. Because sanctuary cities have ignited this unbelievable immigration chaos we have in every state, every city, everywhere. You got 15 million foreign nationals running around unintended. You got a problem. Every New Yorker knows it. Some don't care, but everybody knows it. You can see it. All right. So Trump said, yeah, I'm going to knock it out. And that's the way to do it. You strangle the sanctuary cities. You prevent them from getting money unless they obey federal law. What is the federal law? If a local or state authority finds someone in this country without proper documentation, they are to turn that person over to the immigration authorities, Homeland Security. That's a law. It's simple. You find them, they go to the federal system, and you take them there. You refuse to take them there, which is what sanctuary cities are all about, then you don't get any federal money.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Now, Adams, mayor, I'm a big cheerleader for sanctuary cities. Hockel also, but not as big a cheerleader as Adams. Hockel kind of just goes along with the progressive movement. He doesn't really tout it. But Adams is waving that flag. You remember his sound bites. Oh, come here to New York, yeah, we have a tradition, we welcome all immigrants, say, okay, welcoming immigrants is good.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Do it the legal way. So it doesn't hurt the people already hear American citizens, because now we're getting hurt. We're getting hurt fiscally, criminally, all over the place. We're not demonizing foreign people. We want them here. They're hard workers. Come legally. And if you want to make it easier to come legally.
Starting point is 00:03:57 changed the law. Congress can do that. All right. So when I heard Trump say that, it got a round of applause because people, they don't delve too deeply into, politicians say something, they go, yeah or no, but they're not really thinking about the logistics, but it's my job to do that. And one of Adams' biggest mistakes was being a cheerleader for sanctuary city policies. And look at his bit right in a butt. Big time. Big time. I mean, he's got a myriad of problems, but that's one of Eric Adams' biggest problems. He cheerleaded this illegal immigration. And now it is hammering, and I mean that word literally, hammering the city. And there's nothing good about it. Nothing. So anyway, if Trump wins, he says he'll do it. He almost has to do it now.
Starting point is 00:04:53 because he saw out on the record. If Kamala Karras wins the presidency, she will do nothing, nothing to stop illegal immigration. And that is the truth.
