Welcome to the no-spin news, Thursday, May 6, 2019. Take your country back. So President Trump lays out another immigration plan, which won't get anywhere. And I say that not cynically, but tactically. The House of Representatives, dominated by the Democrats, not going to pass any bill that doesn't have a quasi-amnesty element to it, and Trump's new plan does not. So basically what this is is merit immigration. The Trump administration says, look, we'll take as many immigrants as we always take it legally.

But it's going to change so that you have to apply and you have to say, I speak English, I have a trade, I have assets, and we'll let you win. Right now, 66% of all the green cards, if you're a legal immigrant, you get a green card. Go to people with family ties, all right, doesn't matter what. whether you can read or write or speak English, if you have family here, 66% of green cards go to you. Only 12% are based on skill level, and most of those are scientists,

medical people, that are working on cures for diseases and other things. Trump administration wants to change all that and say, look, you want to come to the United States legally, you've got to be able to contribute right away. Democrats are only part of that, all right? They're the party of compassion, you know, not the game, but the spiel, okay? They want the poor people who come here and have an opportunity at a good life.

Now, that's compassionate. There's no doubt about it, but I think there could be a split among this. So the president also seems to be embracing Senator Graham's plan of changing the asylum laws so that people would have to apply for asylum in their home country in the American Council. It's there. Just can't walk up, sneak across the border, and say, I want asylum. That's created unbelievable chaos in this country. And it does the new Trump plan give the power of the federal government to hold migrants for longer periods of time.

But really, do we want to do that? No, we don't. It's inhumane. It leads to problems. we just want to stop the flow of illegal immigrants to this country. The asylum law would be big. If you change that, I would just do that. Forget about the comprehensive thing.

You're never going to get it passed. Just the asylum law. Change it. And if Democrats vote against that, that's going to hurt him in the upcoming election. That's what I would do. Peel it off. All right, merit-based, you're not going to get it, Mr. President,

until Republicans control both houses. And even when you had that, you didn't get it. If you are over the age of 50, I have an important message for you. Here's exactly what's going on. You need to listen to me here, because abortion is a life or death issue.

See, that isn't taught to American children. Abortion should be taught in health classes in public schools, but not in a pro or it should be taught in a very scientific way. Here's what abortion is. Here's what happens, right? In biology class. So it's a life-death issue because. there's a termination of a potential human being.

Now, if you believe that life begins a conception as the Judeo-Christian tradition believes, then you say, oh, O'Reilly, what do you mean, potential human being? I'm doing it in science now. This is science. This isn't a belief system. So a fetus conception is going to lead to a human being in nine months. Nobody can dispute that. So at the point of an abortion, it's a potential human being.

Or if you believe that conception means human life, a human being. I have any problem with you defining it that way. And many, many doctors do, by the way. but just in the arena of basically just the scientific facts, that's a fact. So you're terminating it, all right, it's life and death. There is life on conception. There's life. If you take the life out of the woman, it's death.

Life death. That's where you start on abortion. You start there. Then you explain, Christian tradition says, all life comes from a creator, and human beings don't have any right to terminate it. So, therefore, the state can't execute criminals. I don't believe in capital punishment. I've always said, you're a murderer, you're a rapist, you're terrorists, whatever you are, I'm going to make your life worse than dying. That's punishment.

It's going to be a work camp somewhere in Alaska on federal land. You're going to wish you were dead. That's how I would punish those crimes. But I don't believe in the death penalty because it's taking of a life by the state. Right back with the final thought. Something I said on the radio today.

Now, why is this happening? One huge reason. Money, making it and keeping it, is a discipline. It is not taught in school. American children do not learn the basics of finance and money. That is an amazing dereliction of education. Therefore, people think that money is something to spend rather than something to be acquired for your protection. If you don't have money, you have no protection from people who would hurt you, including the government.

I mean, you can buy all the guns you want, but it's not going to stop somebody from destroying you in a court of law or doing bad things to you in other areas. If you have money, you can buy a nice house, have a security system. You can have a lawyer attached to your family who will help you in times of need. You can have a good doctor that can tell you what you need to be healthy. If you don't have money, you don't get any of those things. So money, you know, it's a discipline. If you don't need it, don't buy it. If you want it, think about it.
