Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News, Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, stand up for your country. Well, I guess the government shut that. You know, I hate to even cover this. It's going to work out. been doing this, what, 50 years? I've seen this over and over. It's so tedious, so tedious. And there's no resolution to it. It's just party politics. Will people get heard a few, but everybody will forget about it in a month? And whose fault is it? It's just tedious.
Starting point is 00:00:54 People believe what they want to believe. Now, I was on a Hannity radio program talking about it. today we have it posted on bill o'reilly.com and i made this point the democrats knew when they went yesterday to the white house they were not going to get a deal all right so senate minority leader charles schumer knew that as soon as the democrats said we want the health insurance premiums of illegal migrants paid for by the federal government, it was over. Republicans will never do that. And Democrats know they'd never do it. So, by design, the government shut down because the Democrats wanted it to be shut down. They feel the Democratic Party they'll gain by doing this, because they'll blame Trump and the Republicans. And the Democratic
Starting point is 00:01:56 voter will believe them. But it's all about independence, so I don't know. All I know is its story is boring. It is not being reported honestly. It never has been. The main part of this story for this time, October 1st, is this. The Democratic Party wants socialized medicine.
Starting point is 00:02:21 That's what they want. That's what Obamacare was all about. Now, I supported Obamacare, because I knew, there had to be a safety net for people, poor people. They could not have them wandering into emergency rooms every two minutes. And grandma getting sick can't pay the bills. She's thrown out of her house. It can't happen in this country.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Can't. So Obamacare served a purpose, but the system has been gained. 50 million Americans approaching 50 million are taking the subsidy. and sometimes free health care from the rest of us. That's a ton of people. And I'd say maybe 30% of those people shouldn't qualify, but nobody watches it. Nobody's going to watch it.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So they fill out of form and they do this and they do that, but they're making money off the books or whatever they're doing. There's no oversight. Democrats want that to continue so that the government runs every part of the American health care system, a la Canada, a la Western. Europe. That's what the Democratic Party wants. And this is just a way to push that forward. Publican party doesn't want it. It wants a self-reliance thing going on. I want you to be independent.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I don't want to spend the money. Understands $37 trillion in debt is a threat to the nation. Democrats don't care about $37 trillion in debt. Okay? So that's what this is all about. But again, it'll be solved I hate to be cynical about my own country, but boy, oh boy, what a rotten environment politically right now. Talking points memo, new poll by our pal John McLaughlin, who's an honest broker, but he does lean right. He is President Trump's pollster. But his data pretty solid over the years. thousand likely voters, John asked. Male 48, female 52, that's the voting rolls. First question. I think the United States is going in the right or wrong direction, right
Starting point is 00:04:36 direction 35, wrong direction 57. Now, that does not mean that Trump's doing a bad job because a lot of that wrong direction is directed at radical progressives. So we can draw from that other than the majority of Americans are really happy with the state of the Union as it is now. Generic ballot, U.S. Congress, this is the midterms in November 26, Republican 47, Democrat 41. Oh, undecided 12. Now, I'm not sure about that number, but if it's true, Republicans should be very happy. Okay? Third question.
Starting point is 00:05:20 All things being equal, do you prefer free market capitalism or big government socialism? Capitalism, 65, socialism, 11. Thought that number would be higher, I don't know, 24. And the don't know is an interesting number here, because those people don't know the difference between capitalism and socialism. They don't know anything. They're bubble people. A lot of them. Okay, a ton of them.
Starting point is 00:05:46 what would you describe as the most important issue the U.S. is facing, economy 41%. There you go. Social, 24%. That's, you know, stuff going on in the culture. Security 17, inflation, 23. So you add up the economy and inflation, and you get 64%. That's what's going to tell the midterms. And that's crucial for President Trump. If he loses one or both houses in Congress, it'll be very rough for him. So, got to be honest here. Final question, how would you describe the U.S. economy getting better, 34, getting worse 60, don't know six. Not a good number.
Starting point is 00:06:37 So the Republicans come out with two good numbers and one bad number here from the McLaughlin poll. Unemployment is not a problem in this country right now. It's 4.3% for August, and it was 4.2% last year. It's the same. Most people are working. In my area, in Long Island, people are hiring. They need help. You know, it's not $100,000 jobs, but you can make a living.
Starting point is 00:07:10 But the consumer paying more from insurance, more for utilities, more to commute, pay, pay, pay, and the taxes are up to here. All right, in New York. You guys in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, you don't have to deal with that. We do. And the big population centers do. So, going to be big changes in a year. This poll is just a snapshot of where we are right now.
Starting point is 00:07:37 There are going to be huge changes in this country in a year, which is why you want to stay with us on Bill O'Reilly.com. and the no-spin news, enormous changes. And you know, my prediction is about 90%. Where do you see? A lot of things are going to happen, happen fast. Stay here.
Starting point is 00:07:58 We will always tell you the truth, and that is the memo. Consumer confidence weakens. It is going down. Okay, but I just explain why people are paying more for the essentials of life. life. And the government really can't control prices of insurance and things like that. It can make it harder for the grocery stores and the insurance companies and the utilities companies
Starting point is 00:08:27 that all government can make it harder. But that would require a lot of skill. But the Trump people better take a look at this. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door or place in a tax advantage, gold IRA. They'll even help you roll over your existing IRA or 401K. tax and penalty-free. Starting point is 00:09:20 Business Bureau, you can trust American Hartford Gold as I do. Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text bill to 99-8899. Again, that's 866-326-5-7576 or text bill to 99. 889.99. Did you lock the front door? Check. Close the garage door? Yep.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Installed window sensors, smoke sensors, and HD cameras with night vision? No. And you set up credit card transaction alerts at secure VPN for a private connection and continuous monitoring for our personal info on the dark web? Uh, I'm looking into it. Stress less about security. Choose security solutions from TELUS for peace of mind at home and online.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Visit TELUS.com slash Total Secure. Security to learn more. Conditions apply. The military. So that's a huge expenditure we need it. China and Russia are threats. No doubt about it. Trump's trying to mitigate the threats, but they're there. Jihad is still a threat, not as big as it used to be, but it's still there. All of those have got to be faced. You've got to face reality. So yesterday, as we reported, Secretary of War,
Starting point is 00:10:42 Secretary of Defense, Secretary of War, Gulf of America, Gulf of Mexico, I'm confused. Pete Heggseth, he goes to Virginia and talks to the generals, go. For too long, we've promoted too many uniform leaders for the wrong reasons. Based on their race, based on gender quotas, based on historic so-called firsts. We've pretended that combat arms and non-combat arms are the same thing. We've weeded out so-called toxic leaders under the guise of double-blind psychology assessments, promoting risk-averse go-along to get-along conformists instead. You name it, the department did it.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading, and we lost our way. We became the woke department, but not anymore. Good. I said, okay, I'm a big patent guy myself. He wouldn't be woke if he were around. Now, of course, the progressive left doesn't like the war department or Heggseth or Trump or anything else to do with the military. So they come up with a general, Lieutenant General retired.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Mark Hurtling, distinguished man, served his country, 72 years old, and MSNBC trots him out. and he says this, go. I'm hard to put together my thoughts on this, Anna, to be honest with you. First of all, I think we ought to address the atmospherics. We're talking about a huge American flag behind the speakers. That's reminiscent of the opening scene from the movie Patton, which President Trump has said he absolutely loves. I don't think that flag is normally there at the Quantico,
Starting point is 00:12:35 excuse me, a museum. But we'll see. In terms of what Secretary Hexath has said, those were anticipated, as well as what the president is doing. It's anticipated. These are the kinds of speeches the president has given at Ford Bragg in front of a roaring group of soldiers who all said they were supporters of his. Okay, so who is this guy hurtling? Well, he's a very left-wing military guy. He said, I will honestly say this.
Starting point is 00:13:08 from him, not only as a soldier, but now as a citizen of Florida, I'm woke. Okay, and you have the perfect right to be woke, General. But, of course, NBC News should have another general, right? Who's not woke? Wouldn't that have been good? No other general. Come on, NBC News. I know you cut them adrift.
Starting point is 00:13:33 MS is adrift. I know they're not part of your organization any longer. Come on. You still have sway over there. Stop it. Stop it. Boy, oh boy, you've ruined your news brand. You've ruined it. Drugs. So there's a real war on drugs now. Not a phony war. And the war is that the Trump administration is attacking in the Caribbean, boats leading with cocaine, blowing them out of the water. And that is just the beginning. All right, I expect to see American military intrusion in Mexico. Don't know when that's going to start. Trump doesn't really want to do that, but I think he's going to have to. Cocaine comes out of Central America.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Venezuela is the main transshipment center. So it's grown in Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, could ship to Venezuela. They say, hey, come on in. They're all getting money, including Maduro, the president of Venezuela, the dictator. So they're all being paid. It's a narco state. And then it gets on a boat and it comes into the USA. And then if the intel says the boats are laden, boom, we blow them up. Now, there is a task force in Florida. This is an amazing story. It's called the Joint Interagency Task Force, all right, J-I-A-T-F. They always have an acronym. And they have seized last fiscal year, which ends, I think, today.
Starting point is 00:15:18 One million pounds of cocaine, a record. One million pounds of cocaine headed for the USA. Now, that's a good job, but if they've seized a million pounds, you've got to figure 10 million pounds got in, right? And then the heroin and the fentanyl and the methamphetamine coming across the Mexican border. This joint task force operates out of Florida, cocaine centers. Joining us now from Phoenix, Arizona, is the co-author of a very good book called After Escobar, taking down the notorious collie godfathers and the biggest drug cartel in history. Chris Feistel is a former DEA agent, long time, 26 years. 12 of those years he spent in a
Starting point is 00:16:10 very dangerous situation in Columbia, South America. All right, so I like your book. I have a chapter on Escobar in confronting evil, but if people really want to know the micro, because you get into this thing, the whole book is on Escobar, and that whole cartel down there. There's a difference between the Mexican situation and the South American situation, right? Which do you think is more dangerous? Good to be with you today, Bill. Right now, the Mexican cartels pose the most danger to the United States. They have in February of this year, the Trump administration designated six Mexican cartels as designated foreign terrorist organizations. So at this point in time, they are the most direct threat to the United States.
Starting point is 00:17:04 All right, but he has not taken military action against those cartels, and he could, under U.S. law, but Scheinbaum, the president of Mexico does not want that. Do you have any idea why the Mexican government has allowed these cartels to pretty much run the country? Well, Mexico has an historic problem with corruption that dates back many, many years. And the fact that these Mexican cartels are intertwined with various levels of the Mexican government allows them to operate pretty much with impunity in Mexico. And, you know, a lot of these drug cartels, they cannot operate without corruption, without the help of the government. So that is a problem that Mexico and the United States have dealt with for some time now.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Do you think Overdala is on a take? Because he absolutely let the cartels do whatever they wanted to do, at great expense to his own people. Hundreds of thousands were murdered under over door. Do you think he was on a take? Well, it's hard to say if he was, Bill, but some people in his administration most certainly were. And he had to know about it, right? I would assume so, yes. Okay. Now, Columbia, where you spent an amazing 12 years risking your life, country goes up and down and in and out, now it's another problem for the United States with the cocaine. They were cooperating. Now they're not cooperating. What's going on there? Well, Colombia and Venezuela right now pose a significant problem for the United States.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Both of the countries have recently been decertified by the U.S. government for their noncompliance in helping the United States go after corruption, drug traffickers, extradition, money laundering. So this is a problem that's going to continue right now under the current administrations with President Petro in Colombia. He recently had his visa revoked by the United States. They have not been compliant in helping the United States as well as Venezuela. So I expect drug trafficking, record amounts of cocaine to be coming out of Venezuela, as well as Colombia. Okay. And again, that's the same. Shadows the Mexican thing. A lot of money changing hands.
Starting point is 00:19:26 a lot of people get wealthy in the governments by taking brides, right? Absolutely. And if you look at Venezuela and the Maduro administration and the Cartel de los Soleil, is the Cartel of the Sons, which involves high-level Venezuelan military and government officials, they're complicit in that. There's also been a $50 million reward for President Maduro for his arrest and conviction, and that just shows that the government of Venezuela is complicit in drug trafficking, and they continue to pose a serious problem to the United States.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Do you trust the DEA and the feds to give us accurate information? Because they could say anything. They could say Maduro is a drug dealer and this one's that and that one's this. When you see the information come out to the American public, do you trust it? 100% bill. And it's not that the information that comes out that we trust, they have indictments against various individuals in the Venezuelan government. And in order to obtain those indictments, you need evidence, strong evidence, because the ultimate
Starting point is 00:20:31 goal would be to try and convict these individuals. So we can't operate just solely on the premise of information. We need hardcore evidence to be able to depend these people to significant crimes. And once they come here and are tried, like Escobar, they always get convicted. They never get acquitted. usually they plead guilty, right? Absolutely, because there's overwhelming evidence against these individuals. Now, if you have, like Chapo Guzman to take, for example,
Starting point is 00:21:02 if you have unlimited resources and a vast amount of money to be able to fight these charges, you can go ahead and do that. Obviously, that's their right. But the overwhelming amount of evidence ultimately comes out, and to the men and women who are sitting on these federal juries, they hear that information, they hear the evidence against them. It's overwhelming. just about every time these individuals are convicted.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Yeah, and they can't get convicted in Mexico, Colombia, then as well, because the drug gangs will kill all the jurors and their families, right? Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. Our country's back. We're really back. Candid conversations with the people making the rules and changing the game. Can you see yourself as president one day? I don't think about that. We just had an invasion over our southern border.
Starting point is 00:21:50 My husband is in the corner for the right. I'm pumping his fists right now that you're asking this question. This is real talk with lawmakers, newsmakers, and political disruptors. I think Elon's poor probably fences himself more of a Viking. I think I'm more of a ninja. Starting point is 00:22:55 Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Well, that and as well as the corruption, that's why the United States always pushes for the extradition of these major traffickers to the United States. Right. Chris, I don't think the drug war is ever going to be won, no matter what Trump does or the American military or the DEA or anybody else. Because if you're smuggling 10 million tons of cocaine into the United States, that means millions of Americans are buying it. And they seem to be buying it more than ever before, despite all of the warnings about fentanyl, all of this, everybody knows they're still buying narcotics at a record rate. The United States consumes more illegal narcotics than any other nation on earth by far. So if the consumer demand in our country is that high, you're never going to beat it.
Starting point is 00:24:00 There's always going to be somebody dealing it. Am I wrong? No, you're absolutely right, Bill. And it's the law of supply and demand. So the more the demand that there is in the United States and throughout the world, the more supply that there's going to be. Why do you think there's so much demand in the USA? Why do you think that so many Americans use illegal narcotics, thereby enriching these killers in these foreign countries
Starting point is 00:24:27 and destroying their own situations if you're using opiates? Why? Why are they doing it? That's a great question, Bill, and I wish I had the definitive answer for that. But, you know, I think you see drug usage has increased significantly over the the past several years, especially with youth. I think they perceive this as something cool that they can do. And, you know, the United States, we have a lot of people with a lot of money that, you know, don't have a lot of time to spend. They're looking for hobbies. They're looking for outlets. They're, you know, for a variety of different reasons. But the demand has
Starting point is 00:25:05 continued to rise over the last several years significantly in the United States. There's no stigma attached to it now, particularly in the entertainment industry. in this hip-hop culture. And the second thing is that in New York and Chicago and L.A., you can deal heroin and cocaine on the street, openly, get arrested, and you won't get charged. You'll be out on no bail. I mean, it's easy to do it.
Starting point is 00:25:34 You can make a bloody fortune. And the downside is you get booked. You're in there a couple hours. The progressive DAs don't want to prosecute you. it's a victimless crime, all of that. That's why I think that this drug thing is rising. It's the culture, the permissive culture, and the absolute dereliction of duty
Starting point is 00:25:56 on the part of these Soros-backed district attorneys across the country. Last word. 100%, Bill, and we've seen that, and in some of these cities where they've tried these experiments to decriminalize small amounts of drugs, there are no consequences. There are no harsh penalties. People are selling drugs, using drugs. They're
Starting point is 00:26:18 getting arrested. They're back out on the streets in no time. So without serious consequences, I think that this issue is going to continue. Yeah, Oregon legalizing, they had to then go back and say no because Portland was destroyed and the kids were going wild. All right, the book, again, I recommend it. Escobar, taking down the notorious Cali Godfathers and the biggest drug cartel history. Chris, thanks very much. We appreciate your service. Number one, there's a long history of putting yourself in personal danger to fight these evildoers, and they are evil. It's just why I have them in my book, confronting evil, and we appreciate your service in the book very much. Thanks for appearing. Okay, big spending. We dealt with it up top on the government shutdown, a Democratic
Starting point is 00:27:10 Party forever. This isn't new. wants to spend and spend and spend on entitlements. And FDR started it, had to. I don't blame Roosevelt after the Great Depression. People were literally had nothing to eat. But that has continued. So now we have half the states, 25 states, that cannot pay its bills were their bills.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Half of them. Here are the top five states. that are in debt. Number one, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, California. They cannot pay their bills, and they're running up debt at a record rate. Okay. And they're all heavily tax states. Now, New York isn't in there.
Starting point is 00:28:05 It should be. New York is out of control as well. And the physically responsible states, you know, they don't have the trouble, but it's 25, 25. And the data has been compiled by a group called Truth in Accounting, Chicago-based, Truth in Accounting. You want to go to their website, you can see all the grisly financial details. Cities will go bankrupt. If Mandami is elected in New York City as mayor, New York City will go bankrupt. And what does that mean?
Starting point is 00:28:39 That means if you have a bond, this city's not going to be able to borrow any money, it's going to be Armageddon. I keep telling people, you know, this guy gets in, it's going to be a collapse. Criminal justice collapse, fiscal collapse, I estimate 500,000 New York City residents will move out in four years. That's my estimation. California has lost one and a half million residents in the last four years. One and a half million moved out, California. Most of them affluent taxpayers. Now, L.A. is seeing a decline in tourism, a big one.
Starting point is 00:29:26 So about 10% of people used to go to L.A. and that's Disneyland, Universal City, Hollywood, all that. They're not going. Now, part of that, probably the fire situation, but part of it is the absolute chaos that Newsom has presided over. I mean, when I hear Gavin Newsom, and he is,
Starting point is 00:29:49 going to run for the Democratic nomination for president, I go, are you going to run on what? What are you going to run on? That your state laws, one and a half million people moving out, in the last four years, it's the nicest climate in the country. It's a beautiful state. People used to go there and say, oh, and they finally hit paradise now.
Starting point is 00:30:12 It's a horror show. And you want to be president? Oh, my gosh. So Kimmel was on the air last night, and he had Colbert on with him. And this is not an important story. but it is instructive, and I'm going to tell you at the end, why. Go. You started as a radio, you know, a disc jockey, as you said,
Starting point is 00:30:39 when you were, you know, spinning platters and making it with a banter, did you ever think the president of the United States would be celebrating your unemployment? I mean, that son of a bitch, you know, is really unbelievable. Mr. Son of a bitch. I mean, Mr. Son of a bitch. His royal. Yeah, see, no, I never imagine that we'd ever have a president like this,
Starting point is 00:31:05 and I hope we don't ever have another president like this again. I never even imagine there would ever be a situation in which the president of our country was celebrating hundreds of Americans losing their jobs. But somebody who took pleasure in that, that to me is the absolute opposite of what a leader of this country is supposed to be. Here, hear. Here. Here. Okay, it's just tedious, and I had it mixed up. It was Colbert, I'd come on, but it doesn't matter. So it's tedious, it isn't funny, but they continue to do it. Why?
Starting point is 00:31:44 Now, here is why I'm using that clip. Both Colbert and Kimmel have made a decision, and it doesn't have anything to do with Donald Trump, really. Trump is just a vehicle. The decision is we know we don't have a future in mass media because our numbers are terrible. I mean, it's not drawing enough people to sustain us. So what we're going to do is we're going to establish a business model
Starting point is 00:32:16 and they did it independently. I don't think they colluded. That's going to talk to the progressive group, the liberal group. That's it. We don't want any magas. We don't want any independence. We don't want any of those people. We just want Trump haters.
Starting point is 00:32:33 We just want progressives. And we can make enough money because they both get jobs after they leave their talk shows. And Kimmel will leave. He's not going to be around much longer. And they'll go into social media. They'll go there and they'll make money because you can make money there. But they're going to only talk to one group. and that's what they're setting up now.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Okay, so you know. They say in history, October 1st, 1957, the motto in God we trust appears on American currency. Oh, Dwight Eisenhower ordered it. Congress voted unanimously, wow, unanimously to put in God we trust on the money. Why? Because the Soviet Union was cracking down on Christianity and Judaism. and it was a big rivalry between the USA and the Soviet Union. So we sent a message, and God we trust.
Starting point is 00:33:34 That's why it happened. Now, I asked myself, is there any current court challenges to that? There aren't. I thought there was. But the Supreme Court ruled, you can have it. And there are no current court challenges. And that happened 68 years ago today. Final thought in a moment.
Starting point is 00:33:53 All right. Final thought. It's October. A really nice month here in the Northeast as the leaves change, but they changed a lot later than they used to.
