Starting point is 00:00:00 So we are covering the Democratic National Convention, Chicago from Long Island, because it's much safer here to do that. But the reason is I've been to so many conventions, both Republican and Democrat. I don't need to go anymore. I know what the drill is. and it's easier for me to assemble information away from it. Now, as you know, we don't have a party here. I'm a registered independent. The reason that I've done that for decades is that, of course,
Starting point is 00:00:40 if you are a registered Democrat or Republican, then you have an obligation to that party. You're an apparatchnik, and I don't want any obligations to any political party because my job is to watch both of them so they don't hurt you. Okay? It's very simple.
Starting point is 00:00:57 And that simplicity has led to massive success for the enterprises that we have undergone in the past 25 years. So what we have now is a country that really doesn't understand the massive changes that are taking place. And I'm not being super-silius word of the day. They just the folks don't really know. And it's my job to bring to their attention what's really happening. going to do that tonight. All right. Our coverage of the election has been tough and honest. You know that. When Donald Trump does something that I feel is hurting the country, I say that. Same thing with Joe Biden. And that's the subject of this evening's talking points memo. Mr. Biden's speech last night.
Starting point is 00:01:46 He took to the stage at about 1130 East Coast time. He's usually in the land of Nod by then, stayed up late, but his energy level was good. You know, delivered this speech. He was on a teleprompter. It was long. And essentially, he was telling everybody, hey, I have been a very successful and even brilliant president.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Go. As you're president, I've been determined to keep America moving forward, not going back, to stand against hate and violence in all its forms. to be a nation where we not only live with the but thrive on diversity demonizing no one leaving no one behind and becoming a nation that we profess to be i also ran to rebuild the backbone of america the middle class
Starting point is 00:02:53 I made a commitment to you. That I be a president for all Americans. Whether you voted for me or not, we have done that. Uh, no. You haven't even come close to doing that. You have not helped the middle class, the working class, at all in any way. That's the truth.
Starting point is 00:03:20 And I'll back it up now. If you got a pen and pay, paper, here we go. According to Customs and Border Patrol, 8.5 million foreign nationals have been accounted at the southern border. Another 3 million are called gotaways. Okay, they came over. It's about 12 million people that have crossed into the United States under the Biden-Harris administration. That is by far in a way the biggest influx. in the history of this country, and it's cost close to $200 billion. We have $151 billion on the screen.
Starting point is 00:04:01 That was in May, all right? And it's just overwhelmed the budgets of major cities like New York, of counties, of smaller towns, of border towns. This open border has crushed the fiscal profiles of cities, states, and counties. That's true. Now, who pays for that, working in middle class people? That's who pays. So that's number one on immigration. It's absurd to contend that you did a good job in that area.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Secondly, the economy, personal stuff, all right? Gas prices up 38% under Biden Harris. Food up 21%. Mortgage rates up 148%. Home insurance up 61%, car insurance up 118%, real wages, what you take home, down 2.24%. Does that sound like he's rebuilt the middle class to you? Does it? Let's be honest. All right? The average American does not have $500 in savings. Does that sound like a rebuilding of your security? So it's a disaster.
Starting point is 00:05:22 But the Democratic Party is not going to acknowledge any of that, even though they are in fact stone. They're in stone, and you cannot debate them. Okay? Now, we source the whole thing. If you are a premium of concierge member, you can get a transcript of what I just told you. But I tell you there's no debate about it.
Starting point is 00:05:46 So when you have 50% of all, working people in this country that don't have 500 bucks in a bank, you've got a disastrous situation. And the Democratic Party wants to raise taxes on corporation. That is their centerpiece in Chicago. And the corporations will pass that cost along to the consumer. Now, this is what I'm trying to tell you. All right. Now, socially, drug deaths in the United States are of 36% under Biden. And that stat is low because a lot of people don't even report the ODs. They put them on some other, on a death certificate, some other cause of death. 36%.
Starting point is 00:06:33 That's, again, because the open border, the massive amount of narcotics. And narcotics is the main driver of social disorder. This is an amazing stat. You ready? 68% of convicts in county and local situations are drug-addictive. 6-8, and they have no problem buying any narcotic they want, and it's cheap because of the open border. Does that sound like backbone and middle class to you rebuilding, does it? So this is just a catastrophe of bad social economic stats.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I'm not even going to get into overseas, okay? It's not even worth doing that at this point. So there you have it, and that people are in Chicago on the convention floor cheering and screaming for the success of the Biden-Harris administration. You look at them and you go, okay, we know what it is. People believe what they want to believe. Facts don't get it. You know people like that.
Starting point is 00:07:45 I know you do. I don't have too many them around me because I frighten the hell out of them. Okay? Because, you know, this is my job. My job is to assemble this kind of information. But, you know, look, Joe Biden's the second worst president of American history. My upcoming book, Confronting the President's out, September 10th, will document that. When Trump says Biden's the worst, Trump is wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:13 He's not the worst. Buchanan was worse, James Buchanan. Okay, but Biden's number two. And believe me, I will lay it out so a fourth grader could understand it. Okay, that's the memo. All right, DNC, Night 2, Barack and Michelle Obama, that'll be a love fest. Doug M. Off, that's Kamala Harris's husband, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who has destroyed the state of Illinois.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Destroyed Chicago. Destroyed. Because of that guy. But he's got a featured, and he's going to tell everybody how great it is. Now, Donald Trump was confronted yesterday by a CBS reporter. Where was he? He was running around. I think he was in Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Okay, Caitlin Huey Burns caught up with President Trump. Go. Why insult her intelligence? Well, I have to do that. Well, I don't think she's a very bright person. I do feel that. I mean, I think that's right. I think I am a very bright person.
Starting point is 00:09:20 A lot of people say that. I don't think she's a very bright person. And you know what? A country needs a very smart person. All right, so it's a personal stuff that Donald Trump should get away from. because he's speaking to the choir, not to the independent voters that could put him back into the Oval Office.
Starting point is 00:09:41 You, watching me and listening to me on a massive amount of radio stations across the country, you are perfectly capable of deciding whether Kamala Harris is an intelligent person or not. You don't need Donald Trump or me or anybody else to tell you that. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. national debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets, and meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning I'll bring you the stories that matter, plus the news people actually talk about,
Starting point is 00:11:13 the juicy details in the worlds of politics, business, pop culture, and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Okay. All right. So I wrote a column yesterday, Panic in the Year of 2024, because a lot of people are panicking on both sides.
Starting point is 00:11:42 All right. About if Kamala wins, if Trump wins, they're panic, panic, panic, panic, panic, panic. So I put it in some kind of perspective by saying, look, this country has checks and balances, which is the brilliance of it. And yeah, say Harris wins the presidency, well, if the Republicans keep the House and win the Senate, very possible, she's not going to be able to do very much. So the panic right now is misplaced. You want to panic maybe around Halloween. Okay, but not now. So the Senate races are very interesting. As you know, it's 50-50 now. I think it is, or something like that.
Starting point is 00:12:21 You know, Bernie Sanders says he's independent, but he votes Democrat, all that stuff. So West Virginia is going to add a Republican seat. All right, Manchin says he's not running, and the governor, Jim Justice, will win easily in a landslide. So now I'll add one thing. Montana looks like it's going to flip. Looks like Tester is going to lose in Montana. It's a long way away, but it's a bit. I bet on this guy, Tim Shee.
Starting point is 00:12:50 So that's two gains for the Republicans. There are other close races in Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, Kerry Lake, running as Rubin Gallego, but Ms. Lake has not been able to get over the top in that state. And then there are close races in Nevada and Pennsylvania. I think Baldwin is going to win in Wisconsin, and she's a Democrat. Join us now as a guy who studies all this. very fine political scientist. His name is Douglas Bennett, comes to us from Ivan's Utah, as an associate professor of political science at Southern Utah University. So I'm not going
Starting point is 00:13:29 to ask you to make a prediction now because too many things are going to happen, as I pointed on in a memo, a professor, particularly to debate. But here's what I want to know from you. Usually the down ticket, the congresspeople and the senators, they have a tendency to go with the president who wins, the person who wins the presidency. But this year, I'm not sure that's going to happen. What's your feeling about it? I think it's likely that the presidential race will have a fairly significant down-ballot effect this year, Bill. I think, as you pointed out of the memo, I think Harris has energized the party.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I think there's no question that what happened was a coup. They were anxious to get rid of the president. They jettisoned 14 million primary votes and told Democrat primary voters who their candidate was. The good thing about Harris, from their perspective, is that she has stayed out of sight and is now being remade into the candidate that they would like her to be. And I think that will have some down-ballot effect, especially in places where, where Republicans have gotten a little closer. I agree with your analysis of the Trump campaign.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I think they're in trouble. And I think to the extent that the president talks about who's better looking or questions Vice President Harris's ethnicity, he's making a big mistake because I think she has a record that is ripe for criticism. He has a record with which most Americans disagree. And I think if the Republican Party can focus
Starting point is 00:15:12 can focus on criticizing it will have an effect in the Senate races that are close, but right now leaning toward Democrats, I would put Ohio there, for example. Yeah. Well, what I see is, I see two things. Number one, that Harris's support is not broad in the independent precincts. It's an anti-Trump play, all right? Yes. So they're voting against Trump, not for Harris.
Starting point is 00:15:38 And that Harris herself is weak. It's a very weak candidate. If she was strong, she'd be sitting for interviews, she'd be going out and explaining her philosophy, which you can't explain because now she's backtracking on a lot of it. And if you look at her history in the Senate, she did nothing for four years. And as vice president, she became almost a laughing stock with the border and her approval ratings being in the low 30s. So she is not a strong candidate at all.
Starting point is 00:16:09 they booted her out of the primaries in 2020 because she had no message. Now she's allied herself to the most extreme left in the Democratic Party. So it seems to me that if Trump would refocus and stop with the stuff that doesn't matter, he could zero in on how weak and how radical she is. And that would gain him support in the independent precincts. Forget about the Democrats. They're going to support her. And so I see her support, Harrison's support, is very thin.
Starting point is 00:16:46 And that means the polls could change very fast. I agree. I think one thing that Trump has failed to articulate is this. In 2020, the Democrats chose Biden as an alternative to Sanders, who was regarded as two left wing for the party. the only senator with the voting record to the left of Sanders is Harris. I know. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:14 It's crazy. It's a point that Republicans have failed to make. And I think those independents that you speak of and the people who haven't decided don't know that. They don't know Harris's Senate record. And I think it's incumbent upon Trump to make that front and center. Yeah. I don't know if he's got the precision to do that. He's more interested in the emotion of the game than the tactics of policy.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Now, in the Senate races themselves, I have two Republican pickups, all right? In West Virginia and what was the other one I said? Montana? Montana, thank you. are the Republican senators in danger of losing any seats? I haven't seen any that I think the Republicans are going to lose. The map, of course, favorite. I'm glad you hear you.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And I say I'm glad to hear you say that because I don't want this progressive crew in the White House. I just think it's a disaster. My personal opinion, but I've got to be upfront about it. So you don't see any of the Republican senators. being in jeopardy, and both of us agree that it's likely to pick up two, the Senate's likely to pick up two republics. That would effectively block a President Harris in doing very much, right? Yes, although if President, if Vice President Harris does win the presidency, of course, Governor Walsh would cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate.
Starting point is 00:18:59 But it's 5248. Right now we've got four. Right now we've got four. 48 Democrats, three independents, King, Sanders, and Cinema. And if Republicans pick one, we tie, but they could beat us with a vice presidential tiebreaker. If we pick up two, speaking as a Republican, we hold the majority of the Senate, and the vice president can't nullify the tie. That's what I, that is my crystal ball at this point, that even if Trump goes down, that there will be a bulwark. Now, in the House, it's also very, very close,
Starting point is 00:19:40 but you can't call those local races. There's just too many of them and too many people doing too many crazy things. But do you have any feeling about the House? I am more confident that we will take the Senate than I am that we will hold the House. Now, when you talk about we, are you coming from a Republican point of view here?
Starting point is 00:20:00 Yes, I'm a former Republican House staff before I became a professor. I worked in Washington, and I was counseled to the Republicans in the House of Representatives. So when I say we, I mean, I'm in a Republican. No, I should have identified you as such, but I don't like to do that. I don't want to pigeonhole anybody. Now, Utah will go red across the board. But just to the south, and I've made that board across many times, Arizona, which you would think would be a red state, that looks like it might turn.
Starting point is 00:20:35 into a blue situation. What's a difference between Utah and Arizona? Is it ethnicity? Is it Hispanic votes? What is it? Now, demographically, the two states are quite similar. I think in the case of Arizona, and again, this is just me speaking,
Starting point is 00:20:52 I think the issue is Canada equality. I don't think Carrie Lake is a particularly strong candidate. I don't think she did herself in a favor to contesting her gubernatorial loss. And Gallego is not, a left being Democrat. He's a veteran. He's interestingly, interestingly enough, he sent a letter out saying that no one in his staff could use the word Latin X.
Starting point is 00:21:19 When Latin X was a big word, he said, I'm not going to allow that kind of stuff in this office. No, but he is soft on the border, Gallego. He's not a border warrior. I mean, he says. No, he is, yes. Right. And that's the big issue in Arizona. And Gary Lake is a big border war.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Anyway, look, it's a pleasure to talk with you, Professor. You're a good guy, straightforward, and we'll have you back as we get closer. And thank you very much for taking time today. Appreciate it. Thank you, sir. All right, so Donald Trump is supposed to be sentenced for his New York conviction. As you know, September 18th, I don't believe that sentencing is going to happen. I think that the courts are going to block it because they don't want to interfere in the presidential election.
Starting point is 00:22:05 And he is appealing to have that done. Hey, it's Sean Spicer from the Sean Spicer Show podcast, reminding you to turn into my show every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. Starting point is 00:22:45 I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, newsmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode. But here's a very interesting thing. The judge in the case is Juan Merchant.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Let's get his picture up there. For those of you on a radio, this is a very liberal New York. York City judge. All right. And there's no doubt about it. No two sizes of story. He's got a daughter, Lauren Merchant, 35 years old. There she is. She works for the Democratic Party. In the first six months of this year, the Democrats have paid Lauren Merchant's company $13 million. Let me repeat that. The judge's daughter has been $13 million by Democratic Party. company now if that's not enough to get merchants everything attached to that case thrown out then there's no justice in this case at all 13 million dollars your daughter now did you know that
Starting point is 00:24:22 you listening to me today on radio and television did you know that no you didn't probably because the media won't report it i mean it's really staggering That's upsetting that that kind of thing could happen. Merchand should recuse himself a long time ago. But it helps Trump now. All right, so Walves, I wrote a message of the day and said, look, I don't have anything against Governor Walz. I mean, I think he's essentially a politician, but he has not cashed in. He and his wife are kind of middle class people.
Starting point is 00:25:01 He hasn't used his position to enrich himself, as Joe Biden did, and many, many, many others have. Many others have used their positions to enrich themselves. He must hasn't done it. I don't have anything personal against Walls. He is a very far left guy. His philosophy of governance and of life is so opposite mine, but I don't dislike him for it. I just think he's brutally wrong. and that if elected, he'll do damage to America.
Starting point is 00:25:33 I'm up front of that. All right, so I listened to his speech last night. It was pedestrian. Nobody remembers anything he said. Not particularly important speech, but I chose this soundbite so you could hear it. Go. If you're a middle class family or a family trying to get into the middle class,
Starting point is 00:25:50 Kamala Harris is going to cut your taxes. If you're getting squeezed by prescription drug prices, Because Kamala Harris is going to take on Big Pharma. If you're hoping to buy a home, Kamala Harris is going to help make it more affordable. And no matter who you are, Kamala Harris is going to stand up and fight for your freedom to live the life that you want to lead. Because that's what we want for ourselves and it's what we want for our neighbors. It's a bunch of hooey. The whole thing is a bunch of nonsense. And really, I'm sorry to denigrate Governor Walls, but it's just nonsense. I'm going to go over a line by line. If you're getting squeezed by Patricia and drug prices, Kamala How is going to take on Big Pharma? No, she's not. Why didn't she take it on in three and a half years as VP and four years in the Senate? But seven and a half years, she didn't do anything about Big Farmers. It's not going to do anything. She can't do anything. All right? The only way to bring down drug prices is for the federal government to negotiate with the individual drug competition.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Comalares is incapable of doing that. All right. So that's bull right away. And she's not going to cut anybody's taxes. That's just a lie. All right. Now, that's what Walls wants to believe, but so what? Governor, you're not telling the truth.
Starting point is 00:27:13 As soon as she tries to raise taxes on corporation, all of that's going to be passed on a consumer. Okay, just like the higher prices that Joe Biden stimulated by his massive spending an attack on the fossil fuel industries raised the inflation rate to the highest number in 40 years. Kamala Harris is fine with that. She's not going to give anybody a tax cut. If she gets elected, people are paying far more than they're paying now, if you can believe it.
Starting point is 00:27:39 That's two. Okay, three, buy a home, check the mortgage rates. Okay, they're up like 125% under Biden and Harris. So don't give me that. Governor, that's just bull. All right, I'm getting a little mad now. Okay. He's not going to help make anything more affordable. And then she's going to stand up and fight for your freedom. Ah, baloney. Okay. She's a California Democrat. She wants a huge government to run every part of our lives. That's who she is. That's who she's always been. All right. So that's a speech you should have given, Governor Walts, if you were honest, rhetorically, and you're not. Period. Now, Walt's debates, okay, Vance, on October 1st. It's a CBS debate.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Nora O'Donnell, the evening news anchor who was fired, they say, you know, she let me. They demoted her. I like Nora. I don't think she got a good deal at CBS, but she'll be one of the moderators. And then Margaret Brennan, very left-wing individuals. She just faced the nation.
Starting point is 00:28:41 So two very liberal women, but I don't, I think Vance should easily be able to beat Walson at debate, but I could be wrong, all right? I don't know what they're going to bring. So that's that. Okay, now Walters has had two controversies. The military controversy isn't much. All right, some guys say, oh, well, he resigned because he didn't want to go to Iraq with his National Guard unit,
Starting point is 00:29:04 but he had put in his papers long before that assignment was made. So let's be honest about it. So if the Republicans think they're going to get Walls on military, then not. The other one's a little bit more problematic. He was arrested for DUI, played it down a reckless driving, lied about it. that's on the record. All right, so be that as it may, you evaluate walls the way you want to. A bunch of other BS in the news you need to know about this stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:31 This is a group called the Highland Project, and it did a study of black women voters, and it's a bogus study, 705 African-American women. But how do I know it's bogus? Because listen to this, all right? Who is better on the border security issue? 71% of black women say Harris. That's it. Good night.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Good night. Hello. That's what I talked to Stephen A. Smith about on Tuesday, voting skin color. You think these women have analyzed the border issue and are going to say Harris is tougher than Trump? I'm on. It's not, there's not. So it's supposed garbage. just admit it it's a woman of color and i want a woman of color be president just admit it
Starting point is 00:30:28 where's joe joe biden oh five-day free vacation staying at a guy's house guy is a friend of his joe kiani k i a n i there they are there the buds okay the bros the free vacation bros California, Santa Janette's. Nice place. And Joe was there and they all had a good time. I'm glad they had a good time. No, no. Joe needs a vacation. And now he'll have a vacation for the rest of his life. Bye, Joe. You're not going to see him around much. All right. It goes back to Delaware on Saturday if anybody cares and probably nobody does. jobs, according to the Federal Reserve Bank, highest number of people looking for new jobs in a decade. Why? More money. People can't afford to live on the salaries they have.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Interesting, right? I thought so. There was a mistake by the Bureau of Labor Stats. The overestimated job increase. creation by 818,000. That's a lot. Biden economics. So they overestimated by 18, 818,000.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Free abortions outside the Democratic Convention in Chicago. Pro-Life Group is filed to complain with the IRS, saying, quote, it's impermissible to carry out acts, applying preferences for political candidates or parties. And that's what Planned Parenthood did so they should not have. have tax-exempt status. Not going anywhere. IRS will ignore it. Smart life. Eating meat raises risk of type 2 diabetes. It's true. University of Cambridge in England, very good think tank. You eat a lot of meat. You're elevating your diabetes potential. That's it. I limit red meat two a week, two a week. And I'm cutting back on the coal cuts, too. Eat more tuna. Because as you get
Starting point is 00:32:49 older, you know, it's harder to flesh it out. The University of Cambridge and the Smart Life Sabine says that chicken, turkey, and duck are good. Just keep that in mind. Pot is bad. Gallup Poll, most Americans say 54% marijuana negatively affects society. which it does. Innebriation is not good. And 41% say that no, marijuana positively affects society. They're the people smoking. It's okay. I don't know. Heavy cannabis fuse linked to head and neck cancers. If you're going to smoke pot every day, something's going to go. You know her? She laced Trump unfairly.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Go. The reporting is that former President Trump is on the phone with the prime minister of Israel, urging him not to cut a deal right now because that is, it's believed that would help the Harris campaign. False. Never happened. Untrue. And Ms. Woodruff has had to issue a apology. Okay, this is the PBS.
Starting point is 00:34:14 If you're watching the PBS, you get what you deserve. Here's the apology. I was referring to reports I had read in Axios and Reuters about foreign President Trump having spoken to Israeli Prime Minister. Live TV moment I repeated the story because I hadn't seen later reporting. What a bunch of bull. Hey, Judy, do your job, huh?
Starting point is 00:34:30 Be honest, please. We know you're a very left-wing person. It doesn't mean you can't be honest. The Olympic men's basketball coach, Steve Kerr, who is a coach of the Golden State. State Warriors, gave a rousing pro-Commela speech, roll it. It's why I'm here tonight, and it's why I'll be getting out every day to help people get out and vote on November 5th and elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as the next president
Starting point is 00:35:00 and vice president of the United States. Now, we put in a call to Coach Kerr to come on. I don't like to know why. Now, he lives in San Francisco. Might be one reason, but I'd like a friendly conversation with the coach. People said, oh, you're not doing anything now. Call back. I don't expect him to be here, but I would be very curious to know why he took his time and went to that convention.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Now, before you criticize him, you've got to understand it, Hulk Hogan and Dana White were at the Republican convention. So these guys were entitled to whatever opinion they want to hold. I don't hold it against them. The FBI has announced that Iran hacked into the Trump campaign. Something to do with Roger Stone. I guess they hacked into his computer and Stone is involved with the Trump campaign. Nothing major. Of course, Iran says they didn't do it.
Starting point is 00:35:57 FBI says they did do it. Okay. But the more important issue is you may remember a few weeks ago, all of the pundits on television, We're saying Iran is going to attack Israel. Iran's going to attack, Iran's going to attack. And there was one skeptic, you're looking at them right here. I said, I don't think so. Roll it.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Now, there's a lot of hysteria about Iran's going to attack Israel. Iran's going to do this. Iran's going to do that. I don't report that stuff. I say, I hope it doesn't happen. Obviously, that's trite. Everybody hopes it doesn't happen. Well, not everything.
Starting point is 00:36:43 And I say that it would be bad for Iran if it does. Bad for Iran. And that's why they won't attack, because Iran does not have the military capability of defeating Israel or launching a ground war or launching an air war. They can launch missiles. They can use their proxies, Hezbollah Hamas, the idiots in the Houthis. But they can't launch an attack. And Netanyahu, believe me, wants Iran to attack Israel.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Because that gives him Karp Block to go in and level the place. First thing that would happen is that Israel would bomb their four ports in the Gulf, knocking out all their oil exportation, and the people are not doing well now. I imagine if they didn't have any shipping. And then they go right for the nukes, Israel. Iran's not going to do that. I mean, when I watch this stuff on television, oh, get ready to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:41 I just go, my God, there should be an exam given if you want to do commentary on television. Oh, all right, DNC ratings, first night, Monday night. MSNBC, one. This is great. So if you're a left-wing loon, that's where you go. MSNBNB is because there are other loons there. What's a cliche?
Starting point is 00:38:06 Birds of the Feather? Okay. So they got 4.6 million and then NBC News apart from MSNBC, but worked for the same company. They got one eight. They were the last rated NBC News. Okay. Second was CNN. They must be shocked over there. They got 3.2 million. That's five times as many viewers as they usually get. ABC 2.8. Fox News fourth. 2.4 million. CBS News 2.S News 2.m. And as I said, NBC News of the last. So total first night, 20 million. All right. Watched the Democratic
Starting point is 00:38:44 Convention. The Republican Convention, first night, was 18 million. Not fairly close. As far as a comparison of four years ago for the DNC, about the same, but down about six million from when Hillary Clinton ran
Starting point is 00:39:03 in 216. Smart Life. And this is dedicated to you this segment. So if you have a car and it's not under warranty, and we absolutely recommend our sponsors to get the warranty, you need it. But if you don't, you're going to pay a fortune to get your car fixed now. And here are the five worst cars to fix. Are we ready, smart life people? Ferrari, number one, so most people don't have that. We don't have to worry about it. Bentley, same thing. These are ultra-expensive cars. Porsche. Land Rover. Whoa, Land Rover, very expensive. And Mercedes-Benz is fifth. Of course, I will never, ever buy a Mercedes-Benz
Starting point is 00:39:55 because of their association with the Third Reich, and they got away with it. They got away with it. Mercedes. But I know because I wrote killing the SS. No Mercedes for me. Okay, final thought of the day. Joe Biden is in Neverland. You know that. Not his fault. It's a disease. He's got it and he's going down tonight. Last stand at the convention. As I said, I'll write a message of the day analyzing his speech. I don't expect much. But Donald Trump's making some verbal mistakes too. All right. So he's speaking, as we said, top program in Wilkesbury on Saturday, and here's what happened.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Go. And I feel I have an obligation to speak and speak in a certain way and speak a little bit longer. You know, how would you like it? A guy's waiting with his family for three and a half four days. They have a tent. And the tent is set up. They have hundreds of them. And they wait.
Starting point is 00:40:55 And then I walk in, speak for 15 minutes and leave. I don't know. Somehow, would that be okay, North Carolina? I don't think so, right? But he was in Pennsylvania. He'd make it a good point. I mean, you know, people want to see him, and they spend a lot of time to get in and get close, and he walks in 15 minutes and says goodbye. We understand that. And I also understand the entertainment that he brings, but he has to be careful about what he says because we used against him. But then he says North Carolina. Now, I would have said that. I just made a mistake two seconds ago. by saying the United States of Trump instead of confronting the president. When you're thinking like this, when you're just riffing, because I don't have a script, I just do it up top my head,
Starting point is 00:41:36 you make mistakes, verbal mistakes. But when he does that, then the press go, oh, look at him, he said, you're saying, I'll tell you that. Trump, from me, and I speak to him, very sharp. No other worry about that. Okay. Thank you for watching and listening. to the New Spin News. Have a great weekend.
