Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Chris Hadfield, astronaut and citizen of planet Earth. Join me on a journey into the systems that power the world. No politics, just real conversations with real people shaping the future of energy. Listen wherever you get your podcasts. I'll tell you about it today. We're going to start with high. hijacking American culture, which is the talking points memo this evening. So American culture is divided into two areas.
Starting point is 00:00:38 You've got politicians that shape laws and carry out policies. And they have a tremendous impact on how we all live. Now, we the people have control over that, we can vote for, whom we want to. But if we choose the wrong candidates, then we get host. Okay, it's as simple as that. But that's on us. No outside forces. The second culture shaper is the corporate media, powerful corporations that control the communications industry. Nobody controls them. They do what they want. Now, we the people do have input.
Starting point is 00:01:38 And we'll get to this a little bit later on. You don't have to watch or listen or read any of this stuff. And if you don't, that helps the independence of the country and hurts corporate profits. So, again, two culture shapers. Political, corporate media. because the media gets out the information you depend on. You can't be running around all 50 states and 185 countries all over the world and know what happened.
Starting point is 00:02:11 You have to depend on people like me, okay, to tell you what's happening. There are very few people like me, which is probably a good thing. I will never lie to you. Many in a corporate media will. How would I lie to you for money? This is a true story. It happened right here in my town. One night, 17 kids woke up, got out of bed, walked into the dark, and they never came back. I'm the director of Barbarian.
Starting point is 00:02:41 A lot of people die in a lot of weird ways. You're not going to find it in the news because the police covered everything all up. On August 8th. This is where the story really starts. Weapons. Hey, Mike Baker here, host of the President's Daily Brief podcast. If you want straight talk on national security, foreign policy, and the biggest global stories going on of the day, this is the show for you. We publish twice a day, Monday through Friday, once in the morning,
Starting point is 00:03:11 again in the afternoon, and on the weekend, we go longer with the PDB's Situation Report, with excellent guests, including national security insiders and foreign policy experts. Check us out on Spotify, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts, also on our YouTube channel, President's Daily Brief. Okay, so let's get specific. Since 2016, when Donald Trump entered politics, the national media has overwhelmingly supported the Democratic Party. Under Eisenhower in the 50s, Nixon, landslide victory against McGovern, Reagan, the media didn't like those people, but they didn't outright support the Democratic Party. Okay. Now they justify their support of the Democratic Party by saying Trump's the devil,
Starting point is 00:04:06 Trumps this, Trump's that. That's number one. Okay. Number two, all the surveys say the same thing, that if you want to work for a media corporation, you've got to be left, or at least fake it. You're not going to get promoted or even hired if they think you're MAGA or your you're conservative. Just not. It's not going to happen. So therefore, it is controlled, right? And the message is all left.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Democrats good, Republicans bad, Trump the devil. Now, you will remember on June 10, just about two months ago, an ABC news correspondent named Terry Moran, I believe he worked for ABC for 28 years, all right, was fired because he called President Trump and his top aide, Miller, Stephen Miller, haters. Now, this is a correspondent, not a pundit like me, not an analyst. He's a reporter.
Starting point is 00:05:15 You go out there, haters. ABC had to fire him. Disney had to fire the guy. He segues into the media, social media. He's never going to work in corporation. again. And he put this up, and I want to read it to you. It's a quote. It is no secret. There are hardly any people who supported Donald Trump at ABC News or the other corporate legacy mainstream media networks. And this is bound to impact coverage, not so much out of
Starting point is 00:05:45 malevolent bias as a cartoon version peddled by Trump, Randha, and online MAGA, but more out of what kind of deafness. Yes, from my perspective, the old news networks are biased. But Brendan Carr, the head of the FCC, can go to hell. Oh, that's nice. That's very nice. Federal government has no business dictating the editorial content of news coverage. This isn't Victor Orban, Hungary, or Law and Justice Party, Poland, Putin's Russia,
Starting point is 00:06:17 where free voice is critical to the Kremlin could still be heard before he crushed them. Terry Moran, July 29th. This guy is a troubled guy. I mean, we're trying to track them down, and I'd love to talk to them. And maybe I'm wrong about it. But to say, hey, it's okay that the American corporate media, the most powerful media entity on Earth, it's okay that all of them don't like Trump
Starting point is 00:06:44 in favor the Democratic Party. But FCC shouldn't get involved with this, or Trump shouldn't object to it. Now, let them do what they want. Does that make any sense to anybody? All right, talk about the fix is in, my God. And there are rules, okay? There are rules.
Starting point is 00:07:06 So the, and I'm going to get to those rules in a moment. The FCC has a responsibility, okay? if it allows the networks to take up airspace, then it has to enforce some kind of standards. You can't lie, you can't defame, you can't be in bed with a political party promoting that party. And Brandon Carr is saying, we're cracking down on it because Trump is telling them to say that.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Yes, that's true. But we're not going to let you guys run wild anymore. Not going to happen. And that's why you're seeing changes. CBS news is about the change big time. Disney will have to follow. NBC, they'll stay where they are, I believe. I don't think we're going to see a lot of change there.
Starting point is 00:07:57 And then Colbert's gone. You're going to see others gone. The viewer is going to be shaken up on and on and on and on. Because the federal government does have say. Now, not with cable. The federal government has no sway over cable. Cable do whatever it wants. But the networks, given air time,
Starting point is 00:08:17 space by the federal government. Licensing. They are licensed. And Trump is saying, hey, you've got to stop this. You can't have all the corporations in the media supporting the Democratic Party. And so that's where it is. So the culture has shifted. People go to me, oh, it's not the way it used to be.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You know, and that's true. It's not the way it used to be. I worked for CBS and ABC News. I'm going to write about that. My experience is there in my last book after Confronting Evil. But it wasn't crazy. Rather, it was very liberal, but he wasn't a nut. Jennings was liberal, but he was fair.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Rather wasn't fair. Okay. But I'll just give a little taste today. So summing up, we are responsible for who we elect those people in Washington and in your state capitals shape the culture, okay? And the media also shapes the culture, and it's all liberal, with the exception of Fox News and Newsmax. And it's overwhelming, and that's a memo.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Now, as you know, President Trump has rescinded $1.1 billion in funding for the corporation for public broadcasting. So the C.P.B. Announce is going out of business. And it'll go out of business in January, but it's cutting back now. Now, why does this matter? Because that body, the Corporation Public Broadcasting, took some of the money that tax money that it got and funded little NPR and PBS stations across the country. Well, that's not going to happen anymore. Now, the big ones, like Channel 13 in New York, I think it's South 13 in L.A. They'll stay, but they're going to have to raise their own money, which they should.
Starting point is 00:10:18 But the little ones are going to have trouble. Not our fault. If you're going to be dishonest, and NPR and PBS are absolutely blatantly dishonest. I mean, they look, make the networks look like Rush Limba. That's how left-wing they are. so they're losing their money and that's that other media cnn continues to be a ratings disaster these are the july ratings so he's got named chris chaliza used to work at cnn he posts on x the following these numbers to cnn are disastrously bad the cable news network average
Starting point is 00:11:03 only 497,000 viewers in prime time for the month of July, despite unrelenting waves of major news. Okay, but it's not just CNN. Fox News down big in July. Okay, 30% total viewers in prime time, 48% in the key 25 to 54 demo. Fox News. MSNBC almost is bad, down to 27% in total viewers' prime time, and 40% 25 to 54 demos. So what the deuce is going on? It's boring. That's what's going on. Boring.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Predictable panels, 18 people, you don't know who they are. At the end of the day, how many times go take a pad, watch cable news for two hours. and just write down how many times the cliché at the end of the day is said. Or we'll see. The anchors are scared, almost across the board, frightened that they'll say something to get them in trouble with their corporate masters. Very little debate. Remember the factor? More than 20 years. I brought on the strongest opposition I could find because that was fun. That was back and forth.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Now more, the most penetrating question is, tell me more. They bring on people who agree 100% with them. Boring. That's what's going on. It's as simple as that. And the viewer, under the age of 70, knows how to get this. Social media on their computer or a smartphone. phone. And social media, I criticized it like crazy. There's no standards at all, but it's not
Starting point is 00:13:09 nearly as boring as cable news. And network news, I mean, you want to nap? Forget relaxium. Put on a network to, oh my God. And that's why it's failing. And that is shocking. Because, as the guy pointed out, a lot of news in July. Okay. American colleges getting hammered by the Trump administration. We all know this. Columbia University forced to pay $200 million of federal government for its anti-semitism. University of Pennsylvania to pay something and has banned transgendered women from women's sports. Brown, $50 million to the state of Rhode Island has to pay. Harvard and Cornell. they're going to have to pay big time, big time, if they settle, and I think they both will. So the Trump administration is after the corporate media and major liberal colleges. All right, so I have an interesting guest to tell you about. Breitbart, Alex Marlowe.
Starting point is 00:14:26 I read the book, and I got a thousand books, literally. Okay? So I wanted to see what Marlowe had. And here's what I'm interested in. I'm not interested in right-wing politics. Breitbart is a conservative site. I knew Mr. Breitbart before he died. I liked him. But what I'm interested in is who paid for all the cases against Donald Trump and Marlowe is investigating that. Now, if you don't know him, he is, let me. get your official title here, Alex, so I don't blow it. You are the editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, the host of the Alex Marlowe podcast, and a two-time New York Times best-selling author. Did I have it? Do I have everything? And you want to throw anything else in there on your resume, or do I have it? No, and a three-time guest on your show, Bill, which I appreciate. You have me on for both of my other books, Breaking Biden and Breaking the News. And there's an homage to you in that. I've titled my first three books and a similar theme to what you do with the
Starting point is 00:15:35 killing series. I was thinking about it. I think other than Stephen King, you're the author I've read the most over the years. So congrass to your longevity. And there's an homage to Bill O'Reilly in the book title. Thank you. Thank you. You're going to love evil coming up September 9th. Now, let's start with E. Jean Carroll. And this is probably the least important, but the most outrageous. Yes, agreed. Because I know, I don't know her, but I know who she is. And I know the the people she surrounds herself with. And she won 5 million in damages saying that Trump jumped her in Bergdorf-Gudman. I mean, it's just inconceivable that that would happen with no scream or nobody else around.
Starting point is 00:16:18 I mean, come on. She still won Manhattan jury. And then she won when Trump said she's X, Y, and Z, she sued him for defamation, won there. Cases presently on appeal. who gave eugene carroll the money to go after trump first of all i love that you started with this case of the sixth that i profiled because it is the most outrageous it does seem to be the the least serious but this is a woman who had cats named tits and vagina she basically her claims against trump almost mirrored exactly a law and order plot from an episode that took place a year or two before
Starting point is 00:16:54 this event allegedly took place there are so many implausible moments in the case. I think when people read my retelling of it, they'll actually laugh at certain points. And yet, this was put up as a major example of the sexual predatory behavior by Trump with virtually little, almost no hard evidence at all. The key point being that she had apparently saved this dress that may have had Trump's DNA on it, but then she wouldn't turn it over to authorities so no one could actually examine it. So which I talked to Trump about this and he said, he loved that she had the dress because he could have proved, could have exonerated him. So she kept it a secret. But to answer your question, this was bankroll by Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn billionaire,
Starting point is 00:17:33 frequent Biden White House guest, a guy who has been involved in basically every major Democrat funding operation, period. And he is someone who is part of this revolving door of donors that's involved in so many of these nefarious plots by the left to try to buy portions of the American government. This was the idea of George Conway, the famed legal pundit and ex-husband of Kellyanne Conway. All right, let me stop you there. It was a complex idea, and Hoffman funded it. All right, let me stop you there. Reed Hopp and he said frequent White House guests under Obama and Biden.
Starting point is 00:18:06 I don't even know. Did he visit Biden? Yeah, five times in 2022 alone. And then there was another meeting that they had that same year. So he's deeply embedded. I stopped there. I thought I have what I need at that point. He's deeply embedded.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Now, this E. Jean Carroll thing, do you know if she got money directly from him? Was she paid by him? I don't know if she was paid by him, but her attorneys, and she had the top attorneys possible, the absolute top Me Too attorneys, and this was framed as a Me Too case, that this was an example of Trump praying on a innocent woman in pinning her into a department store dressing room, even though there were no eyewitnesses to it, and apparently Carol hadn't told anyone who would testify about it for decades, That was how was framed, and they got the best lawyers in the game in order to be on her team. Those people are not cheap, and they're certainly not something that E. Jean Carroll as a former comedy writer and columnist could have afforded.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Okay, so it was a civil suit. You have to pay lawyers to file all paperwork. I'd say, estimate $2, $3 million. They might have worked pro bono for her and taking a piece, but you're saying that Hopman paid them outright, but you don't know if he paid her. right yeah i i don't know exactly where the funds were allocated specifically but i'll tell you there was a clip of carol after she had gotten a thing was a 95 million dollar judgment against trump where she was literally announcing she was going to be buying gifts for her attorneys as well as sympathetic tv pundits wasn't it wasn't a serious case um then we go into and you believe uh according to breaking the law your book that the manhattan jury would have found gil trump guilty of
Starting point is 00:19:55 anything and Trump didn't appear on his own behalf right but but the fix was in from the very beginning that's what you believe right yeah and Trump said he probably regrets his strategy and that I spoke to him about this in an interview earlier this year and he says that he's not liked the way that his attorneys handled it he had tough words for a guy named tackapina who's one of his attorneys but he also said that it was hopeless so that once the judge and jury weren't paneled it was over for him and that's part of the problem with the law fair okay uh what is project 65 yeah project 65 are attorneys who who is a well-funded left-wing effort to target attorneys who work for trump and it's essentially legal world cancel culture it's trying to make it
Starting point is 00:20:38 that if you represent trump or someone who is affiliated with trump that you are no longer able to work in polite society again wow and you're pretty nasty out yeah yeah all right who's herb sandler Herb Sandler is a guy who is behind ProPublica. Now, ProPublica is a left-wing activist journalism outlet, and they actually get some stuff right. I know this because I practice some advocacy journalism bill, which I'm happy to admit from time to time. It doesn't make you inaccurate if you have an agenda when you're reporting certain things.
Starting point is 00:21:10 But he's funded this group that has really tried to take either small kernels of news or outright fake news and use it to weaponize against conservative judgment. judges and justices. In particular, he's targeted Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, the two originalist standard bearers on the Supreme Court. And the ProPublica outlet has tried to make their lives a living hell simply because they're originalists. And they've implied this guilt by association stuff that because they have a couple of rich friends, that they must be taking bribes from them to decide court cases in certain ways. And there's no evidence of that at all. It's all speculation and it's designed to harass them. And this comes from the
Starting point is 00:21:50 ProPublica outlet, which is backed by mainly Herb Sandler and the Sandler Foundation, but also George Soros and Lorene Powell Jobs, who owns the Atlantic, and another murderer's row of Democrat philanthropists. Now, Soros is in his mid-90s, his son Alex, is running this operation, open society, or whatever it is. Yes. But how active in your book was Soros in trying to harm Donald Trump? very active in certain ways because he but he's able to act he's able to operate more clandestinely
Starting point is 00:22:24 and he his focus in my book is more on the the the d a races that he bought tens and tens of millions of people in this country are living in a area where their d a is soft on crime and is doing everything they can to try to allow criminals and that was bragg and man that people matt those people were put in power by soros money sores donated millions to and their competition on the other side couldn't match. That's right. Final question for you. Media Matters has been in business, I don't know, almost 30 years.
Starting point is 00:22:59 They're character assassins. I've gone up against them many, many times. They're involved in a lot of this distributing the garbage that comes out of these organizations that want to harm Trump and Republicans. But now it looks like Media Matters is going out of business. Do you hear that? It's amazing news. This was one of Andrew's biggest foils when he was alive,
Starting point is 00:23:27 and I wish he was here to celebrate with us. Sadly, there's a lot of, I think, facsimiles of it that will just replace the work that Media Matters has done. And I grew to find it to be a compliment whenever they would quote me for some reason. So I will miss that to some degree. But this was the original Soros' fun. media operation to try to smear and character assassinate people, basically for having normative conservative views, the type of views that you and I would opine on a daily basis
Starting point is 00:23:55 about Bill. Okay. Did you find any research, and again, I did read Alex's book, and if you're into this kind of want to know the specifics, it's very good, you'll get a lot of information out of it. Thank you. Did you find any corporate media that reported on any of this Trump stuff in a fair way, methodical way? No, absolutely not. And one thing that I highlight right at the top is how Jeff Bezos admitted that his paper completely failed on this.
Starting point is 00:24:24 And this is not a guy who's a knee-jerk pro-Trump person. I think he's mostly a political, if not left-leaning, though I think he's embraced Trump recently to some degree. But he flat out announced that we botched this thing. And this is something that is a point we cannot repeat enough. The corporate media is dead, and we can frankly urinate on their graves at this point. because they're gone and they're not coming back in a meaningful way.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Alternative media is here to stay. All right, Alex. Thank you very much for helping us out. We appreciate a good luck with the book. Impact site located. Entering spacecraft. Contact, but identified life form. We were safer in space.
Starting point is 00:25:14 and Earth. An original series streaming August 12 on Disney Plus. Sign up today. 18 plus subscription required TNCs apply. Joining us now from Washington is Jen Pellegrino, the chief spokesperson for America First Policy Institute, AFPI. She used to be an intern on the O'Reilly Factor. Look, another success story, Jen. You see? That's right, Bill. Listen, I was a college student. watching your program, thanks to my mom and dad, who were loyal followers. And it was unusual back then to be of that. It still is now on some college campuses. But I think things are changing, especially with this president.
Starting point is 00:25:57 So it's great to be back with you and to be able to talk about this today. Well, look, I always tell everybody, you get through me, whether you're an intern or producer or whatever. It's like the Navy SEALs. I mean, you got a Riley factor on your resume or no spend news. people know that you can do the job because we don't fool around. All right, first of all, tell me exactly what America First Policy Institute is. Well, we stand for policies, very simply, Bill, that put the American people first. It's all getting back to common sense, regardless of what side of the political aisle you're on,
Starting point is 00:26:34 looking at policies that are fair. When you speak about our college campuses, having diverse viewpoints, when you look at what's going on in sports, making sure men are, men and women are women and there aren't men and women's locker rooms. Things that I think a lot of people can understand and get on board with when it comes to securing our borders, issues that were top priority in our election. Things of that nature are what the America First Policy Institute focuses on. And we're bringing on board a lot of people who may say, you know what, I'm not maybe following a certain president or somebody, but I can get on board with some of these policies. And we find
Starting point is 00:27:07 that overwhelmingly, even 100 days into this administration, the majority of America are in support of those policies. Are you, would you say you're conservative? I wouldn't say we're conservative or liberal. I say we're in the middle, somewhere in the range of common sense. All right. So you got Kudlow, does economics for you, Brooke Browns, they're both conservatives. I don't see any liberals on a sheet yet. So I'm going to assume that AFPI leans right. Now, did you guys endorse Donald Trump? We do not endorse a candidate or a non-profit C3 institution, so we don't endorse candidates. We're here to support those that advance America First policies. Why don't you put out your donor list?
Starting point is 00:27:55 Well, Bill, that's something that our development team holds secure. We don't put that out. We don't take money from corporations. I will tell you that there are other institutions in this town that do. We only take from private donors, so we keep that secure and private to those individuals. All right. But you might have a discussion about that. All right, now, how would you assess the nation's colleges?
Starting point is 00:28:20 Because I get tons of letters from very worried parents and grandparents are sending their high schoolers to college and they think they're going to get indoctrinated. And I have to say it's a legitimate concern. My old college, Marist, in Poughkeepsie, New York, used to be a working class school that didn't have an ideology. Then I went woke. And I'm going, what, what? How do you assess it? Is it 75% woke or 50-50?
Starting point is 00:28:51 What is it? You know, I couldn't put a number on it, Bill, but I would say it's probably happening on most college campuses around this country. I went to school in the South, University of South Carolina, not as big of an issue as some universities like Cornell or Harvard when it comes to the balance of voices. But I think, you know, there's a level of it in just about every college campus right now. And I think it is something very concerning to parents, to students that are looking at colleges saying, you know, what am I going to be dealing with it? You know, if I'm of Jewish background, am I going to feel safe going to my classes?
Starting point is 00:29:23 Is there going to be an issue if I wear a MAGA hat to one of my classes? So I think there needs to be more balanced in viewpoints and conversations and allowing debate, which hasn't been going on for some time, much like we've seen, as you outlined in the media. Do you, does your organization have a list of colleges that it likes, that if somebody calls you and says, gee, you know, what is the America First Policy Institute? Do they have schools that they, you know, say doing a good job in this area? I think there are some institutions that are doing better than others. I will say, you know, we've looked at universities like Cornell, who have obviously had some, you know, DEI practices that continue to this day. We issued a formal, like Cornell. complaint asking for the federal government to investigate some of the work that they've done illegally in terms of, you know, providing incentives for certain hiring. Give me one example about Cornell. What are they doing? Wrong. So Cornell, one example, $50,000 incentive for hiring of a certain racial background with their medical degree.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Who gets the 50K? Wanting to bring on faculty with a certain racial background, 50 grand. Who gets the 50K? the person who referred them so if i refer won williams to cornell and he gets hired i get 50,000 if you work for the organization if you work for the university oh you have to work for the university because i'd send one up there in a heartbeat for 50k i mean you just get right on a train and go to cornell okay so that's pretty outrageous and harvard my alma mater you know a master's degree they have a 72% hiring of liberals, professors. I think it's even higher than that now,
Starting point is 00:31:13 but it's outrageous. I mean, how they stack the deck against the student. Now, last question for you. If anybody wants to help the America First Policy Institute, they can go to your website and they can see what's going on. Do you believe that your pressure okay has led to anything positive i mean you know or is it all trump see trump is the guy that's hammering these schools particularly harbors it's a blood feud but you're not as quite as militant as trump but
Starting point is 00:31:50 have you changed any minds i think we have bill i would say that we're very much in alignment with the president again being the america first policy institute america first is something this president It speaks about a lot. A lot of that work that we did prior to the election and handed over to the campaign. A lot of that work has been implemented now in what the president has done. So we provide a lot of guidance, suggestion, research for the administration. And they take it to that into place. So credit is due to this administration, not to us.
Starting point is 00:32:21 We're just some of the brains and experts behind the scenes here. All right, Jen. Very good. I'm glad we could, in a small way, contribute to your success. And I hope we can talk again soon. Thank you very much. Thanks, Bell. Epstein latest. Now, I hate the story. I just think it's awful for the country, for everybody involved. I'm not sad that Jeffrey Epstein is dead. I'm fairly confident he is not
Starting point is 00:32:48 in a comfortable place. My religious upbringing. But this is interesting on a number of different levels. So tonight, all right, August 6th, Wednesday, Vice President Vance holding a soiree at his house in D.C., his residence. All right, at that discussion will be Cash Patel FBI Director, Attorney General Pam Bondi, White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, among others. And they will talk about whether to release the testimony of Maxwell. Jelaine Maxwell, see your picture there. She was recently interviewed by the Justice Department.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Now, I don't know why anybody would believe a word that Jolene Maxwell would say. So, I mean, I'm sorry to be cynical, but, you know. And apparently there have been reports that she said, you know, Donald Trump didn't have anything, didn't do anything untoward when he was dealing with Epstein in New York City. I don't care. To me, that woman has no credibility. She deserves a 20-year sentence. And I hope that she is not part.
Starting point is 00:34:11 But anyway, this discussion is underway to release the transcripts of that interview. Now, this is payback for the Democrats trying to tie President Trump in with Epstein in a criminal way. And it's way beyond that now. So the House Oversight Committee, that's James Comer, the congressman, who was a close ally of Donald Trump, has subpoenaed the following. August 18th, former Attorney General William Barr, under Trump, has to show up. All right, then Alberto Gonzalez on the 26th, he was under Bush, A.J. 28th, Jeff Sessions, under Trump. Starting point is 00:36:21 October 7th, James Comey, former FBI chief. October 9th, Hillary Clinton. Ooh, October 14th, former President Bill Clinton. Now, this is some lineup, and it's all payback. It's all payback. Okay, so Democrats, progressives, media tried to tie Trump to Epstein in a criminal way. And now, all these people are subpoenaed. We're going to be real busy.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Still hate the story. Bill Clinton flew 17 times on Jeffrey Epstein's jets. All right, it's documented, and he went to Morocco, China, Armenia, Siberia. Wow. All over the place. On two occasions, Secret Service did not accompany former President Clinton. Very unusual. Donald Trump flew on Epstein.
Starting point is 00:37:28 planes at least eight times okay okay mostly within the United States so there you go we will update you on this story in a fair and disciplined way not guessing not speculating basically telling you what's going to what is happening but it's spiraling out of control. Smart lives. So yesterday I wake up and on my dopey machine, there is a text allegedly from the New York Department of Motorical Vehicles, Department of Motor Vehicles. It says final notice. Here's what the text said. Quote, our record show you have an unpaid traffic ticket per New York Code 15C 1603. Payment is not received by August 6th. 2025, following actions will begin on August 7, violation reported to database, vehicle registration suspended, 30-day suspension driving privileges, 35% fee in all toll enforcement, possible legal action, credit impact, avoid penalties, please pay immediately.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Okay? It's a scam. And I know it was a scam because I know that the state, no state, no city, no town does business on the internet. Okay? That's not odd. So if you get it, it's a scam. And they say you owe this, you send them the money, and they keep it. So the DMV in New York knows about this and has warned on their websites coming out. And that's started in March of this year. But here's a real disturbing part of this. We contacted the FBI, which has enforcement investigated powers over this stuff. And they won't tell you. tell us exactly what they're doing. Nothing. Zero. And I don't think they're doing anything. I think they let these scammers run wild. I don't think there's one mechanism to chase these people down.
Starting point is 00:39:46 And you know how many billions of dollars being stolen, particularly if you're an older person, oh, no, I'm going to lose my license. Come on. The FBI should have television public service announcements telling you exactly what I just told you, right? And saying, report it to here. This is what we're going to do. Doesn't seem like that's happening. That's why these scammers get away with it. If you see anything, smart life segment on your text or email, you don't know who that's from. Do not open it. clear i hope so protect yourself here's a final thought of the day so uh yesterday in new york city massachusetts senator and socialist elizabeth warren came in to campaign for mam donnie who's a communist okay here's what she said go what zarin is saying is i want people to be able to afford to live in new york city that's what keeps it by city. That's what makes people want to live here. Nobody disagrees with that, Senator, but
Starting point is 00:40:58 raising taxes in order to do it? Why is that the answer? Oh, dear. Are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry? No, I'm worried that they're going to leave and spend their money elsewhere. You know, they've threatened to do that over and over. Okay, so I'm on News Nation last night. Here's what I said to that. How did tearing down the success of America become sort of so popular? First of all, Senator Warren is a nitwit. I'm sorry. I don't usually do that, but my God, if Mandani gets elected in mayor of New York City,
Starting point is 00:41:41 she doesn't think wealthy people and corporations are going to leave? You're a nitwit, madam. I mean, that's all I can say. There's no other word to describe you. All right, since 2020, close to 600,000 New York City residents have left. It keeps saying, 600,000 gone, most of whom paid big taxes. You know, we'd like to back up our insults here. But I don't like that invective stuff. I used to do it when I was younger, a lot more.
Starting point is 00:42:23 But what else am I going to say? That word described her perfectly. Thank you for watching. And listening on our radio stations across the country. The No Spin News. See you again tomorrow.
