Starting point is 00:00:00 Election news is dominating everything, even though I hoped that we would get at least part of August off. That doesn't seem to be happening. And we've got a tremendous rundown. We're way ahead of this, as you may know, today. So hold on tight. The talking points memo, however, is the stock market. So predictably, I actually told my advisors, financial advisors last week there was going to be a significant pullback in the market.
Starting point is 00:00:43 It's too much turbulence, and the stock market doesn't like that. So the market in the spring believed Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden, and that's what the market, generally speaking, wants to happen because Trump is a capitalist, and the Biden administration governed far left, almost to the socialist realm. And the stock market doesn't want that. Companies don't want that.
Starting point is 00:01:08 But once Biden pulled out and Harris started to emerge and is getting traction in the polls, people get nervous. But that isn't the primary reason that stocks are going down. The primary reason is that the United States is a consumer-driven economy. That means you and I drive. the company profits by spending. Americans are world-class spenders. We're not savers.
Starting point is 00:01:37 We spend. And over the Biden administration, we've spent a lot because there's been a lot of government money flowing into various things. You remember the COVID payments and all that. Okay. So I'm going to break it down and not be an economic pinhead
Starting point is 00:01:57 because you can't understand what these people are saying. But the American public, the consumer, spends money and spends it at a very high level. That buoys companies and corporations. So their stock price goes up because they make more money. That's simple, right? Okay. Now Americans are running out of money because of the high prices. It's appalling how much that retail stores includes grocery and restaurants and everything are charging, not to mention the gas prices.
Starting point is 00:02:34 So we are running out of money, and every survey says that, that most Americans don't have $5,000 to fall back on in case something bad happens. And so we are forced, to cut back on spending now. Forced. That's why you're seeing, and remember, the stock market is always ahead. It doesn't react to what happens tomorrow. It reacts to what they think is going to happen in November. You're not sure now whether Harris is going to get in. Remember,
Starting point is 00:03:10 Harris has pledged to raise taxes on every corporation and company in this country. And those taxes will be passed on a consumer. That's economic disaster. But most Americans don't understand this, which is why I'm pleased to be delivering this memo to you tonight. Okay, so day one, Joe Biden ignited ferocious inflation. The Democrat mantra is, oh, inflation is coming down. Sure, it's coming down for more than 10%. But the high prices aren't coming down. Just the rate of growth in the inflationary area coming down. So again, people don't understand that. They think prices are coming. No, they're not. They're staying where they were or even going up. Okay. Now, Biden did this in two ways. Number one, attacking the fossil fuel industry on
Starting point is 00:04:08 day one with the executive order, slapping all kinds of regulations on them, stopping all drilling on federal land for oil and fossil fuels, making it very difficult for the energy companies to harvest. Energy companies knew that right away, okay, and then lifted their prices to cover, all right, them not having the product they used to have under Trump. Do you see what I mean? Once the energy price is lifted, then everything lifted. The truckers to the food, to the market, everything went higher. That's number one. And then Biden flooded the market with trillions of dollars in government spending.
Starting point is 00:04:50 There were way too many dollars. Whenever you have anything too much, the value of that anything goes down. Most valuable things in the world are things that are not common. So you've got to keep the spending under control. Harris won't do. Harris will double if she gets elected. Well, double the entitlement spending. that even Biden has.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And fossil fuels, she's the queen of climate change. Only abortion is more important to Kamala Harris than climate change. So you get what I'm telling you here. The stock market knows all that. They know all that. These are smart people. And they're getting nervous. And they're selling off, which is what you see.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Now, finally, in the talking points, remember, what should you do? So back in the spring of 2020, April 11th, to be precise, we had a pretty robust stock market pullback, and I got lots of letters, what should I do? What should I do? Here's what I said. Go. So here's what I'm doing. So you know, and this is the smart life segment. I'm holding about 22% of my assets in the stock market. market. A few individual stocks, mostly mutual funds, hedge fund type of thing. I have a trusted financial team, not just one, because I have a lot of assets. I'm lucky enough to have them. And I have about that in stocks. I am holding that. Now, if you took my smart life advice, you would have made a lot of money. From April 2023 to August, 2004, stock mark is way up.
Starting point is 00:06:47 But I always tell people, if you're going to buy a stock, you've got to put a stop, STOP on a 20% down from where you bought it. So therefore, if the stock declines when it hits the 20% down, it automatically sells. So I hope you followed my advice. Right now, I am holding. I might even add to a few AI positions because AI is now getting there and getting nervous about it. But I'm not going to buy a lot, okay, because I don't trust the election in the sense that I think Harris has got a shot to win. And I'll explain that further coming up. And if she does win, oh, boy, everybody is going to feel massive pain in this country. But Americans are too
Starting point is 00:07:32 apathetic, distracted, or stupid to understand that. And that's the truth. And that's a memo. Over the weekend, Donald Trump was in Georgia and he attacked Republican Governor Brian Kemp. Go.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Somewhere he went bad. And you know what? Your numbers in Georgia are very average. Your crime numbers, your economic numbers, all of your numbers, you're very average. You can do a lot better and you'll do a lot better with a better governor. You can do a lot better, just so you understand. I wrote in a message of the day,
Starting point is 00:08:06 Bill O'Reilly.com. We hope you go there every morning that that was not a good move by Donald Trump. Okay? The Republicans need to take Georgia, and they should take it easy. With the Lake and Riley murder by the undocumented migrant,
Starting point is 00:08:18 it shouldn't even be close. But Kemp has a 60% job approval rating in Georgia. Kemp is the most powerful man in the state. He has a political machine, and he's not going to help Trump. may work against Trump in Georgia. So I know Trump does not like him, but that was not a smart thing to do, period. And I don't know why the former president continues to work against his own interests. I don't. I've spoken to him a number of times. He seems to recognize the fact
Starting point is 00:08:58 that he is sabotaging himself to some effect. He continues to do it. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver. Thoreau, the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. Please call 866-3-2-6, 55-76, or text
Starting point is 00:09:56 bill to 998899. Again, that's 866-326-5576-5576 or text bill to 998899. Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, lawmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:10:49 You don't want to miss an episode. Okay, CBS News poll. I'm giving you this poll because it's all over the place, and you're going to hear about it. The polling does not matter until after the debate. Nothing matters this August. There will be a debate in September. I'll get to that. And until that debate, this is all kind of just emotion, emotion, emotion.
Starting point is 00:11:19 So 3,1002 registered voted sample by CBS, Democrat 34, Republican 32, Independent, 31. Fair sample. First question, if the election were held today, would you vote for? Harris, 50%, Trump 49, that's a dead heat. Second question, if the election were held today, who would be your choice for president in the swing states? These are only the swing states. Tie, 50-50. Third question, do you plan on definitely voting? Democrats 85% say yes. Republicans 88% say yes. Now, that's edge to the Republicans there. That means that Kamala Harris still has not convinced all the Democrats of her worthiness.
Starting point is 00:12:08 The reason that Kamala Harris has surged in the – that one surged in the bad word, come up in the polls, is because of women of color, as we explained last week. They didn't have any use for Joe Biden at all. None. But once Kamala got into race, there was an identification. So that vote mobilized and that has lifted Kamala Harris to where she is now. The Wall Street Journal did a very interesting report. I'm stealing it, but I'm giving them credit.
Starting point is 00:12:36 So there are some very powerful people behind Kamala Harris that you and I did not know. And they are. Ray McGuire, Brad Karp, John Hennis, Mark Lassery. All right, McGuire is the president of Lazzard, all right, he is the highest-ranking black executive on Wall Street. Lazzard is a financial firm. Karp is the chairman of Paul Weiss-Rifkin law firm. I have dealt with them before they are unbelievable partisans for the Democratic Party. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:13:15 You get the other two guys. Hens, H-E-N-S, is. the CEO of the C Street Advisory Group. Okay. So it's another financial deal. They're deeply involved with politics. Mark Lastery, CEO of the Avenue Capital Group. And these guys are all pumping big, big money into Harris Pax. There is big money coming into the Republican precincts as well. It was a Trump fundraiser in Bridge Hampton, Long Island over the weekend. I think it raised $15 million. All right. Elon Musk is going to pump or has pumped 20 million into a Trump PAC, political action committee, and he'll do more so.
Starting point is 00:14:05 So Musk is on Trump's side. Musk is doing this to counteract Mark Zuckerberg, okay, who pumped 420 million into helping Joe Biden in 2020. million dollars, one man. Staggering. So Musk is going to help Trump. Okay, so Walls, a patriot. You can be a patriot and a far left guy at the same time. All right. So personal attacks on walls are useless. And the people that do them are dumb. We're not going to do that here. So Walves served his country, National Guard, okay? Then he was a teacher, he's a football coach, family man, no personal attacks. You don't need it.
Starting point is 00:15:00 The way he's governed is he's a far-level loon. That's who he is. Now, Loon is, you know, that's not a personal attack. That's a description of your political posture. Okay. All right, so I lost some respect for Wall, so last night in Philadelphia. Go. Like all regular people I grew up with in the heartland, J.D. studied at Yale,
Starting point is 00:15:26 had his career funded by Silicon Valley billionaires, and then wrote a bestseller trashing that community. Come on. That's not what Middle America is. And I got to tell you, I can't wait to debate the guy. That is as if he's willing to get off the couch and show up. The get off the couch thing was defamation. And I've lost a lot of respect for Governor Walls.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I didn't disrespect or respect them because I don't know him. But a demented social media person made up a story about Senator Vance that involved the couch. I'm not going to tell you the story because it's obscene. And put it out. And many progressives ran with the story, including Governor Walls. Cheap, poddry. I lost a lot of respect for him. Because he knows the story was debunked. It was debunked right away. And he did it anyway. There you go. All right. Now, the polls are tied. Real clear. The average got Harris at 47-4, trumpet 469, every poll comes in, it's this, a stat. Let's just say it's tie.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Joining us now from Alexandria, Virginia, is Dustin Olson. He's a poster for American Pulse Research and Polling. They work for both Republicans and Democrats, and he hosts a podcast, Political Trade Secrets. Oh, we love that. We love trade secrets on this program. Okay. So you just did a poll, American polls, right? 1,035 likely voters, and likely voters is the category you should be in. Republican 40, Democrat 37, independent, 20, fair sampling.
Starting point is 00:17:27 And the first question was this. Would you say the country is generally headed in the right or wrong direction? Right direction 27, wrong 58. So if that's the case, Dustin, 58 to 27, how can, How can Harris be tied with Trump? It's really quite amazing. Actually, I've been going through the summer and as a pollster and you're tracking things, starting actually with the Manhattan conviction and then ending up with the debate
Starting point is 00:17:56 and then with the assassination attempt and with R&C and then Biden dropping out. There's been so many historic things. It's really been very difficult to actually pull and not have your poll completely thrown out. So after about a week of Kamala Harris being in the race, We thought we'd go into the field and see just kind of where the American people has ended up. And one thing that's clear to me that has had an impact is her favorability. Actually, about a month ago, she was less popular than both Biden and Trump. And she's now more popular than both of them.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Biden hasn't changed much. Trump has actually increased his favorability ever since the assassination attempt. But she's had a really big bump. And I do think it's largely based off of the fawning media coverage. In our survey, we track where people get their news. And if you look at kind of the legacy media, it makes up about 50% of the electorate gets their information from there. And I think that's largely what it was. Also, it's a contrast.
Starting point is 00:18:55 You look at Joe Biden, where he was a month ago, we were starting to see the bottom fallout. And you had states like New Hampshire, New Mexico, Minnesota, Virginia, that were starting to come into play. And if that happened, it would have been a whack-a-mole scenario. for the Democrats where they just couldn't have kept up with all these competitive states. And ultimately, having somebody who wasn't Biden was a big contrast for Democrats. And I do see some intensity and energy back with Democrats, as well as the improved favorability, which is a pollster. We think that's fairly predictive as to where things are going.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Okay. I would expect you to have a little bit of... I think that's logical, but I think you're leaving out the skin color vote. Potentially, though, in our survey, 22.3% of African Americans are supporting Donald Trump, which I was quite shocked at, actually, post-Kamal Harris joined the race. So Harris coming up in the favorability zone, who has shifted into her liking her more than they did? Isn't it's not people of color? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yeah. So there's going to be some of that, though we also had Hispanics where Trump's winning by 5%. And we really worked hard to have a representative sample of minorities. I think it's largely people that weren't really participating that are now more energized. Also, you have postgraduates who were pretty postgraduate anybody who has anything above a college degree. That's where a lot of the intensity is for her. And they seem to be jazzed. up about it. I don't want to get too technical about it, but the surge, I think, has two or three points of skin color voting in it. Now, I'd love to see a survey on whether Americans understand what Kamala Harris is promoting. See, my theory is they don't understand what this Harris Wall's ticket is. They couldn't understand it if, as I spelled out my talking points memo, it's so bad for the working class family and for individual freedom. I mean, it's off the chart that. When you're the governor of Minnesota and most of your constituency are working class farming people and you're the fifth highest taxed state union? It's just inconceivable. And I don't
Starting point is 00:21:32 think most people understand that. I don't want to be arrogant about it. But the dumb vote, I think, is more substantial than it's ever been in modern history. Potentially, you know, when it comes to policy, and I think I've seen you talk about this quite a bit, really Republicans should be focused on policy. We tracked, you know, inflation in the economy, immigration on the border, also abortion. And really on the first two issues, inflation and immigration, Donald Trump, Trump has a majority of Americans trusting him better to handle that over Kamala Harris. Let me give you the- Let me give you the data to the folks that you assembled.
Starting point is 00:22:16 So who do you trust better to handle the economy and inflation? Trump 51, Harris-45. That's a pretty high number for Harris, though. I mean, people are paying 20-25% more now than they did when Trump was in office for essentials. Then you have securing the border, Trump 54, Harris 42. Now, this is the number that comes into play in the dumb vote. Kamala Harris is not going to secure the border, ever. She's going to let all these foreign nationals in,
Starting point is 00:22:52 and the American taxpayer is going to pick up their education, health, and welfare costs. And 42% of Americans don't know. that? Yeah. Well, it's interesting on the immigration issue. We also ask the question about people's approval of the Biden-Harris administration on the border. And the disapproval is higher than the support for Trump handling that, which tells me that there is a difference between that they've been able to give himself enough daylight between the Biden-Harris administration and the Harris candidacy. And I do think there's going to be a closing of that difference. But right now, they've given themselves enough daylight that she can kind of start fresh.
Starting point is 00:23:37 The media is giving it to them. They haven't given themselves. The media is peddling as lies that, you know, Harris did X, Y, and Z. Final thing you have is foreign policy. Trump 49, Harris 47. So we had no wars of any, you know, consequence under Trump four years. Now we got Ukraine, Middle East, blowing up, Afghanistan embarrassment, all under Trump, Harris. and 47% of it, half the people think that the Democrats do a bit of job in foreign policy.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Again, this is the only explanation is the dumb vote. Yeah. I don't think there's any other explanation on earth, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Well, I think it's largely based on the media. Your media gives you your reality for the most part. And if half of America is getting their media from sources that are telling them, you know, that she's great. She'll be great on foreign policy. She'll be great on the economy, et cetera. They're going to start moving in that direction. Now, one thing that I found extremely fascinating
Starting point is 00:24:42 from our poll, we decided to ask people about the cognitive cover-up, the idea that the Biden, Harris, White House, and their allies in the media have been covering up the cognitive decline of the president for the last few years. And 61% of people said that they agreed with that idea and even 47% strongly agreed with it, which my hope is that gives some sense that maybe people are seeing behind the curtain and just how a lot of this impacts public opinion and how the country is being run and that ultimately this could actually be a pretty big factor in the election. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:19 When is your next survey? We'll do another one in August, late August, to see how things go after the DNC. And I think that's going to be the next big move. the campaign. Well, definitely, I'm going to be off the last week in August, but as soon as I get back after Labor Day, we get you on, and we really appreciate it to us, and thanks to our time today. Absolutely. Make sure you tune in. You can find us at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. Media madness. This is a really interesting story. Remember this woman, Cassidy Hutchinson? She had a book, all right?
Starting point is 00:26:52 And it sold a lot of copies. I know that because killing the witches was up against her. Now, witches ultimately sold a lot more copies. did. But out of the gate, she said, did very well because she accused Donald Trump of grabbing the wheel of the presidential limousine and fighting a secret service agent because Trump wanted to go to the Capitol. And according to Hutchinson, he wanted to encourage this crazy thing to happen on January 6th. Hutchinson was a low-level staffer in the Trump administration. She writes all this garbage.
Starting point is 00:27:29 I knew it was garbage from the jump. Okay? Here's what I said. Go. The most important thing, accusation was from this Cassidy Hutchinson. Now, we've done some investigating. It would be physically impossible for a president or any human being, any human being, sitting in the back seat of a limousine to reach across and grab the steering wheel.
Starting point is 00:27:53 It's impossible. Physically impossible. It can't do it. Okay. And that was true. But that's not what the hate Trump media told you. Roll the tape. President Trump ordering them to take him to Capitol Hill
Starting point is 00:28:11 and when they would not do so because they did not believe it was secure, among other reasons, President Trump, according to these Secret Service agents, who relayed this to Cassidy Hutchinson, lunged at the wheel, and then lunged at the throat and clavicle, of his Secret Service agent, Robert Engel. It was devastating testimony,
Starting point is 00:28:37 a portrait of a president who was completely and utterly out of control. And it was a lie. And Tap is the worst. I just thought I'd rub that in, you know that, I'm sure. So now, the Inspector General of the Secret Service, Joseph Kofari, based on more than 100 interviews of every secret service agent around at that time, okay, and said, the whole thing is bogus. It never happened. This is the secret
Starting point is 00:29:12 servant. This is the inspector general, okay? He was in charge of investigating this stuff. All right. So how many lies is a corporate media going to be able to get away with? Because nobody's going to report this inspector general thing you know it's it sickens me that a woman can make a lot of money peddling a falsehood that b cnn and tapper can pick it up and spit it out and they weren't the only ones almost every corporate media tv operation did okay and see that it takes this long for the inspector general could have done this in a month, you might say, no. It's awful. Our system is so corrupt. I'm not cynical. I'm fact-based. It is corrupt. The media is corrupt and the federal government is corrupt. Okay, smart life.
Starting point is 00:30:12 So how do we get here? How do we get here in 2024? It's such a corrupt place. Well, on a political side, it was an evolution throughout the presidents, different presidents. And I've written a book, as you know, called Confronting the Presidents, all right? No Spin Assessments from Washington to Biden. It's out in about a month, September 10th. But the audio is already not available, but it's been made. And I want to run a minute of the audio for confronting the presidents in the smart lines. life, and I'll tell you why it's in a smart life, okay? Go.
Starting point is 00:30:54 George Washington gets right to work. His first task is defining what it means to be president. Problems quickly mount. America has a massive national debt from the Revolutionary War, no standing army, and a navy that has no ships. Yet the greatest headache George Washington endures is the hand-picked group of men he has chosen to advise him. This bickering cabinet,
Starting point is 00:31:20 of four politicians includes Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, Secretary of War Henry Knox, and Attorney General Edmund Randolph. Jefferson and Hamilton in particular loathe each other. At issue is whether the federal government should be a strong central power, as Hamilton believes, or if the states should wield the most strength, as in Jefferson's point of view. This debate will continue for generations to come. For now, Alexander Hamilton will win this argument. And it is George Washington who casts the deciding vote. And so we take each president, all 45 men, and we tell you who is corrupt, who wasn't, and how the corruption evolved.
Starting point is 00:32:12 And right now, I'll submit to you, we're not at the top level of corruption in Washington. We're not there because we're worst presidents and unbelievable corruption in some of the administration. We are in the media. Media's never been more corrupt. So you are going to get so much out of confronting the presidents. And it all pertains to today. All of it. You will learn something on every page and it's entertaining. It's fun to read. You take it to the beach. Okay. So pre-order on Bill O'Reilly.com, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, wherever you get your books. Also on Bill O'Reilly.com is a good poll question. We would like you to, and you don't have to be a premium member to do this. You don't have to do that. Okay. And it's very simple. Can Kamala Harris win the
Starting point is 00:33:03 election? Yes or no? Big, big entry into that poll. We have polls every week. Okay, so we'd like you to vote in that one, smart life. Okay, the squad's fallen apart. part. These are the radical left House of Representative members. So Cory Bush got whacked in the primary. Her district is in eastern Missouri, our first congressional district. All right, there it is. St. Louis County. She got blasted by the county prosecutor Wesley Bell. So she's gone. Corrie Booker. I am sorry. Corey Bush. Cory Booker is still around the Senate. Corrie Bush is gone. And in case you don't know who she is, roll a tape. Yeah, let me tell you, it's not surprising because this place is where 1,700 members of Congress,
Starting point is 00:33:55 this elected body enslaved black people. It's not surprising because they thought it was right. It's not surprising because this is a place where members continue to claim that the insurrection on the Capitol just appear to look like a normal tourist visit. I'm sorry to laugh, but she's out. So she joins Jamal Bowman, New York. He got booted. He's another squad member.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Alexander Ocasio Costez, Alexandria, is safe because she's a district in the Bronx where I'm not going to look down on the district, but let's just say, I'm adding the bottom. She's safe. Okay, California, which is Kamala Harris, wants to make. America, California. That's what you want. So they passed a minimum wage law, 20 bucks an hour. Your fast food, you're anything. Deli, car wash, 20 bucks an hour, okay? Plus tips, plus whatever. So what has happened? One of the unintended consequences. Ninety-eight percent of California fast food restaurants height prices. Ninety-eight percent, according to the employees. Employment Policies Institute.
Starting point is 00:35:17 So their prices, and they hiked them bigger than the minimum wage height. So who does that hurt? The poor, all right, who go to, and I'm generalizing now, but they buy from the lower priced establishments. What it hurts? Not only that, 73% of fast food locations had reduced employee hours. So yeah, you're getting you $20, but instead of working 35 hours a week, you're working 25. Okay? And 70% have outright cut people. Bye. We can't afford you.
Starting point is 00:36:01 This is what socialism brings. An imposed wage brings poverty. Just go to Havana. You got to go to Montreal, get on a plane, and fly down there. Take a look. I did Smart Life. So I am overwhelmed with mail from all over the world, and I like that. That's a good thing. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. I throw some of the mail away because you don't have a name and a town on it, which you have to have to be considered. I can't, it's hard enough for me to read the mail, and I got people helping me to do it. All right. Now, there's a theme emerging in the mail to bill o'Reilly.com and it's anxiety. There are a lot of people who are afraid. So I got a concierge mail the other day from a 75-year-old woman who has some assets, but she's afraid that the government is going to take them away from her,
Starting point is 00:37:10 So she's asking me if she should take her money out of the bank. And I would say, no, that's crazy. Got to be in an FDIC insured bank. Okay? But no, don't do that. Because the wealth tax is going to be very hard to get passed. Harris will try if she wins. But I think the Supreme Court will blunt, which is why Harris and Walls want to pack the court.
Starting point is 00:37:39 That's why they want to. Much easier to impose socialism. But anyway, the elderly woman, I hope that I calmed her down. So I am seeing a rise in anxiety over this election. That is why the concierge membership to Bill O'Reilly.com is becoming a must for a lot of people. If you have a personal circumstance that you are worried about, you tell me what it is. and I will advise you. I can't give you financial advice or medical advice.
Starting point is 00:38:13 I'm not an accountant, and I'm not a doctor. Tell you what I would do. All right? So, smart life. We're giving you this opportunity. It costs a little bit of money, but you make it back if you give anybody a present because you get huge discounts on all of our stuff.
Starting point is 00:38:34 I have tried to make this a fail-safe, all right where you don't lose any money but you gain a year's worth of premium or concierge membership smart life growing number of adults say they don't want kids all right this comes from pure research um and uh under 50 americans under 50 years old 57 percent um they don't want them that's a lot they don't on them. All right. They think they're going to be a hindrance to their economic welfare. They'd rather concentrate on other things. That's a personal decision. Should be no derision in the decision. You don't want kids? That's good because you don't want to have a child who you're not going to care for. It's the most important thing on earth. If you have them, you've got to give them
Starting point is 00:39:30 everything. Okay. But that's the trend. Here is the final thought of the day, and it is an uplifting one. Remember the U.S. women's soccer team at the World Cup? Weren't they obnoxious, particularly that rapping old woman, you know, mocking their country, doing all kinds of awful, awful things? I got me really, ugh, you know. But in the Olympics, we don't see any of that. We haven't seen any of it.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Now, one loon representing the United States, nobody, everybody's been respectful, even the NBA people, which you would expect some misbehavior from. It really is impressive because I think the leaders of the athletes over there have set a tone. Roll a tape. Katie now tied for the most golds and overall Olympic medals of any American. woman in history. When you hear that, what is your reaction? I'm just so honored to represent our country. And those women that have set the standard for so many years have inspired me. They inspired me when I first started swimming. So thank you to
Starting point is 00:40:50 the end. Thank you to everyone that has supported me all these years. Katie Ledecki, leader. She's got a future in politics if she wants it. I don't know if she does. She's got a book out. I know her uncle very well. John Ladecky owns New York Islanders hockey team, co-owner. McCady Ladecky is beyond impressive, and so is that Simone Biles. I mean, she is just lights out.
Starting point is 00:41:18 I'm so proud of them for representing our country in such a patriotic way. And I bet you you are, too, because I'm just so tired of people running down the USA when it is a noble nation. that is through blood and treasure, freed billions with the being of people all over the world. And right now we're, you know,
Starting point is 00:41:40 trying to keep the Ukrainians free from that tyrant Putin. You know, this is all noble stuff. And yet we got bad mouth here, bad mouth there, you know, slave nation. Oh, God, it's awful. But the Olympic athletes across the board and across the pool, and across the gymnastics network have really represented us well, right? And that's even more important than winning all those medals. And, of course, the USA is number one.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Thank you for watching and listening to the No Spin News. We'll see tomorrow.
