The headline is if everything that Donald Trump laid out in one hour and 45 minutes comes true, he'll be on Mount Rushmore. They'll have to make a little space for him or maybe he'll buy his own mountain, but he'll become one of the greats.
Starting point is 00:01:30 But that's a huge if, because a lot of the things he's trying to do are very, very difficult, as we all know. And he's only been in office six weeks. So every president says, yeah, I'm going to do this. I'm going to do, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they all do it. But Trump, he's got this vision. And if it does play out, he catapults himself way up there. The second story, which I think is even more important than at first. is that the Democratic Party is in complete disarray.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Hannity locked into this today as on its radio program. We have that posted on Bill O'Reilly.com, as we do every week, about the disintegration of the Democratic Party in front of the nation and the world. They wouldn't applaud for people who deserved applause. They were mean. And Trump did taunt them. There's no doubt Trump did.
Starting point is 00:02:26 He taunted them. but boy that Democratic Party's in disarray and I'll get into it pretty micro here so this guy Al Green a congressman from Texas he got a lot of attention because he got booted out and he was yelling or something I mean this guy he is a poppinjay there you go word of the day he's a poppin'jay you can look it up uh and he doesn't mean anything he's not a serious man he looks like he's something out at a texas chainsaw massacre this guy all right so he gets kicked out and here's what he says go i'm willing to suffer whatever punishment is available to me i didn't say to anyone don't punish me i've said i'll accept the punishment but it's worth it to let people know
Starting point is 00:03:19 that there are some of us who are going to stand up against this president's desire to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. No, Mr. Trump has no desire to do that, nor has he promoted anything that would result in cuts for those entitlements. Now, is Green lying? Yeah, in a way, he's lying, but he's convinced himself,
Starting point is 00:03:42 because that's what he wants to believe. He wants to believe Trump wants to cut all of these entitlements and give the money of the rich people. You've heard it a million times. That's what he wants to believe. So he's kind of talked himself into it. All right, that's not an excuse. I'm making an excuse for him.
Starting point is 00:03:56 He's still lying because there's nothing on the record at all, and there won't be. Donald Trump's going to cut these programs. He's not. All right. In fact, the programs are going to go on and on and on and on until Congress decides to up the age. And that's what's likely to happen, but not anytime soon.
Starting point is 00:04:15 So Green lives in a world of his own. He doesn't matter for all the reasons that I mentioned. But more importantly, when you, When you have the sister and the mother of Lake and Riley, and they're in the gallery, and President Trump cites the 22-year-old college student in Georgia who was murdered, allegedly by a Venezuelan undocumented migrant, when you have them there and you don't applaud and you don't show any sympathy, there's something wrong with you, roll of tape. Last year, I told Lakin's grieving parents that we would ensure their daughter would not have died in vain.
Starting point is 00:04:59 That's why the very first bill I signed into law as your 47th president mandates the detention of all dangerous criminal aliens who threaten public safety. It's a very strong, powerful act. It's called the Laken Riley Act. So Allison and Lauren, America will never, ever forget our beautiful Lakin, Hope, Riley. No demonstration of assent by the Democratic Party. They don't like that, Bill. That's tough. Then you had a 95-year-old grandmother who asked President Trump at Butler, Pennsylvania,
Starting point is 00:05:56 get his, her son released from Russia because Putin threw him in itself for no reason, and Trump got him out. You don't have any emotion from the Democratic Party on that? Then you had a kid with cancer, you know, on and on and on. You sat there. And one of the really weird, bizarre things was when people, when people were when people, President Trump was again taunting the Democrats about Ukraine. Go. The United States has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to support Ukraine's defense
Starting point is 00:06:35 with no security, with no other. Do you want to keep it going for another five years? Yeah, yeah, you would say Pocahontas says yes. That's bizarre. So I wrote a message of the day on Bill O'Reilly.com said, Vietnam, left was against it, okay? Iraq war left was against it. Afghanistan left didn't want it. Killing Soleimani, left wing objected. Biden wouldn't okay the raid to get bin Laden advised President Obama against it.
Starting point is 00:07:36 So all of that is history. In the modern era, the left, Elizabeth Warren, those people, they don't want war. They want peace at any price. Okay, but now when Trump, and I do believe he will get this deal soon, okay, no, they don't want it. No, uh-uh. And it's all because of Trump. They hate him so much that they won't applaud for Lake and Riley's mom and sister. They won't applaud for a 95-year-old grandmother. And they won't say, yeah, it'd be better to stop this Ukrainian thing, even if we have to fake it on Putin.
Starting point is 00:08:15 even if we have to, you know, patronize him a little bit. So it's disturbing to me. And you're witnessing the Democratic Party fall apart. So Hannity asked me today, and it was pretty interesting. He said, well, did you ever see anything like this? I said, yeah, I have. And in 1929, when the stock market crashed and the Great Depression kept whole, Americans were suffering badly.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And Herbert Hoover was a Republican president. And Hoover basically told the suffering American people, we're not going to help you. And the Republican Congress said, no, we're not going to do anything. You've got to get it out on your own. We're not going to set up a bunch of programs. That led to five terms for Democrats, five, four from FDR, one for Truman, okay? And then finally, Dwight Eisenhower, got it in the 50s. That was a destruction of the Republican Party.
Starting point is 00:09:11 We're watching the same thing play out with the Democratic Party now. And it's a very, very fascinating, and it's almost self-destruction. Because they've got to know. I mean, you had a girl there last night, Peyton, and News Nation had an interview with her, very articulate girl, playing high school sports against a trans guy volleyball. And a trans guy goes up and smashes the volleyball against the girl's head, resulting in brain damage.
Starting point is 00:09:45 And you have this Democrats sitting over there going, we don't want to stop that. No, we want to bring on more trans guys to play against women and girls. That's insane. And that's why the party is unraveling. Trump's one of the luckiest presidents in the United States history because his opposition hates him so much that they're destroying themselves. And hatred will do that to you. You'll destroy yourself.
Starting point is 00:10:11 It's exactly what's happening. Now, the other complicated issue with tariffs, we just announced today that Trump is suspending the tariffs on cars coming from Canada and Mexico. I'm going to reunying to my family, because we're going to Burlington for the event of liquidation candidate. We're going to now same to find the best

Starting point is 00:10:45 because it's very hot to lose Burlington Marks, Rebaugh Wow Flying first class with Alaska

Starting point is 00:11:18 Okay. I knew this was going to happen and the tariff thing will work itself out, but it's complicated. But beginning April 2nd, President Trump said, look, uh, Biden ran up a one point two trillion dollar trade deficit. That means one point true, two trillion went out, all right, to other countries and we were down in the hole. Trump wants to even it out. So he says, if you charge us 20% for Ford or Chevy, we're charging you 20% for Mercedes or whatever. It's going to be even. Not Biden, just saying, I don't care if anybody charges his tariff. We're not going to do anything about it. I think Biden, my God. So that's what this is all about. And I don't know if it's going to work. I don't know if the US economy is going to be impacted negatively. I know the
Starting point is 00:12:18 stock market shaky. Anybody who can read knows that. Business doesn't like it, but 1.2 trillion trade deficit, something's got to be done about it. And Trump is trying. Okay. So here's what he says about the tariff. Go. On average, the European Union, China, Brazil, India, Mexico and Canada, have you heard of them? And countless other nations charge us tremendously higher tariffs than we charge them. It's very unfair. India charges us auto tariffs higher than 100%. China's average tariff on our products is twice, but we charge them.
Starting point is 00:13:04 That means to get American products into China, India, Mexico, and Canada, the companies have to pay those governments to allow the products in. All right. And Trump says, all right, you're going to do that. Then your products from India and China, you're going to pay us the same amount. That's what this is about. Okay. So all in all, I think it was a big win for Donald Trump last night. The snap polls say it was, I don't trust those. But he got his points across. He taunted his opposition into more self-destructive behavior. And the happiest guy in that room last night? That'll be J.D. Vance.
Starting point is 00:13:50 They got no one to put it again. They got nothing. Midterms? I don't know. Trump's got to put a few wins on the board economically, though. He'll get the Ukraine thing settled, I think. But economically, you got to watch that. And that's a memo.
Starting point is 00:14:08 So I asked my producers who are really good. I said, give me a guy who really knows a turf, all right, and knows Zelensky. So there's a former ambassador, American ambassador, to Bermude, to talk about a good job, appointed by Bush the Younger, named Gregory Slateon, who's written a brand new book, Portraits of Ukraine, a Nation at War. Now, the proceeds of this book are going to Ukrainian charities to help the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who've been hurt by Vladimir Putin for no reason. And so this book is A, number one, worthy of your attention. And B, Gregory Slayton joins us now from Dallas, Texas.
Starting point is 00:14:55 So you actually met with Zelensky. When did you meet with him? Well, thanks, Bill. First of all, it's great to see you again. Great to be on your show. Sure. And I agree 100% with your assessment. I was in Kiev last. Monday at the invitation of President Zelensky and his team to mark the third anniversary of the brutal and unprovoked Russian invasion. That was difficult, but I was glad to be there. And it was also the official launch date for the book, and I appreciate your mentioning the book because, yes, all proceeds do go to good Ukrainian charities.
Starting point is 00:15:31 I was also at the White House just on, I was in D.C. on Friday for that meeting, which, as you described was a disaster. And yes, there were mistakes on both sides, but President Zelensky was properly briefed and for whatever reason decided not to listen to 11 U.S. senators who know far better than he does how to work with President Trump. Let me stop you right there. I'm glad that you have affirmed what I said, number one, because I had no idea you were going to do that. Because you didn't know what I was going to say. No, I did not. Okay. Based upon what you and I both know to be true, I think Zelensky is immature. I don't think he's got a lot of impulse control.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Would that be fair? Well, I don't ever want to criticize somebody without being in his shoes. You know, Abraham Lincoln was exhausted by the Civil War. Zelensky's lost in three years hundreds of thousands of troops and literally millions of civilians. of civilians have been either killed, wounded, or dislocated from their homes, their villages. I mean, it's a brutal, brutal battle. Did he make a huge mistake at the White House? No doubt about it. Is he a little impulsive? Yeah, I would say so. But I think also we got to have a little
Starting point is 00:16:55 bit of sympathy for the guy because I do. And I think that's a good point. And I do have sympathy for him. He is traumatized. But he knows the only pathway to stop this madness is for Putin to get something out of it. Putin's never going to stop or walk away unless he looks like a winner. Trump knows that. Trump's got to give Putin something, which is why Trump isn't bashing Putin, you know, between the eyes. Because if he does that, it's never going to stop because Putin doesn't care about his own people. He doesn't care. But he needs to get out because the Russian people themselves are getting restive. Word of the day, rested. Got a million Russian casualties. Putin knows he's got to stop. But he's not going to stop unless he can, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:49 save face, can walk away. And that's what Trump's trying to do. Am I right of my assessment there? I think you are 100% correct, Bill. And the Russian economy is even much worse shape than most Western assessments indicate. But remember, Putin doesn't care about that. He doesn't care about the Russian economy. No, I got to disagree with you, just slightly there, Bill. He doesn't care about the people from the Stans and North Korean soldiers. He doesn't care for anything about them.
Starting point is 00:18:21 But the economy owned by the oligarchs who basically own all these things on Putin's behalf. That's why Putin is the richest man in the world. Yes, he is. According to Western intelligence services, and when you've got your entire hospitality industry, your entire coal mining industry, many of the non-military industries cannot pay the 25% interest rates that are common if you can get a loan at all and can't find employees. Literally the Russian economy is six months, 12 months from a very, very bad reckoning. It's a legitimate point, but if you understand Putin, he will go over the cliff if you don't give him a winning persona, I think. All right? He's not going to pull it back.
Starting point is 00:19:14 But Trump knows that. Trump is giving him a pathway out. But Zelensky is way over his head. He has no blank and clue. Last work. No, I completely agree with that. Bill, I think that we as Americans have to remember that, you know, we are the light of democracy and freedom in this world.
Starting point is 00:19:36 That's why, yes, President Zelensky was out of line. He did not behave himself as he should have, but we still need to be the light and the beacon. Because let me tell you, there's a lot of wannabe Putin's and want to be Xi Jinping's who are, you know, right now thinking, why do I have to bother with elections and judiciary and stuff? let's just make myself the leader, right, and be the leader for the rest of my life. That we always must stand against. Look, the geopolitical landscape is very, very tough. And as I said, are you as, I think they're still going to make a deal?
Starting point is 00:20:15 You concur? I agree. I agree 100%. Zelensky's already said publicly, I want to sign the deal. So be a cult. I hope it happens. I said prayers at mass yesterday that it would. I don't want to see any more suffering over there on a part of the Ukrainian people at all.
Starting point is 00:20:33 So the book is Portraits of Ukraine, National War, and get on Amazon. And remember, the purchase price is going to help suffering people. Mr. Ambassador, thanks very much. I hope you'll come back, and I hope things evolve the way you and I see it. Thank you very much. All right, so Donald Trump is addressed tomorrow night. we don't tomorrow i'll have something for you but it looks at me he's got to do ukraine right he's got to do do do the economy the high prices so we know those three uh it's not state of the
Starting point is 00:21:07 union by the way because he just got elected it's like okay here i am i'm donald trump i'm giving you uh an assessment of what i'm going to do or try to do uh in the house chamber We wouldn't have Nancy Pelosi ripping up anything behind him. And I hope he is disciplined in his remarks, President Trump tomorrow. Obviously, we're going to be all over this. So stay with us. Democrat response is going to be by Senator Alessa Slotkin from Michigan. Don't know her.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Supposed to be a moderate. We'll see. Media madness. So here's a very interesting story. A few years ago, NBC News reported. anonymous sources, which you know how I feel about them, that in a 2022 phone call between President Biden and Zelensky, Biden yelled at Zelenskyy.
Starting point is 00:22:08 All right, this is NBC News reporting this from anonymous sources. Quote, Biden had barely finished telling Zelensky he had greenlighted another billion in U.S. military assistance for Ukraine when Zelensky started listing all the additional help he needed and wasn't getting. Biden lost his temper. People familiar with the call said. The American people were being quite generous and his administration of U.S. military working hard to help Ukraine, he said, raising his voice and Zelensky should show a little more gratitude, unquote. Now, do I think that is true? I do. I think it is true. Because Zolinsky is immature.
Starting point is 00:22:53 not good so again what we do here just so you know is we have usually one guest a program sometimes two but usually one and I said to my people I don't want partisans unless I'm going after somebody I don't really want that okay that doesn't serve anybody I want people who's smart different points of view can state their case it's much more beneficial to you the viewer and listeners so joining us now from Dallas House is a man named Talmadge Boston. He's a presidential historian. He's read a book called How the Best Did It, Leadership Lessons from Our Top Presidents.
Starting point is 00:23:34 And that is been out about a year, done very well. We did not steal from Mr. Boston's book for confronting the presidents. These are two separate books, although there is cross-section about Abraham Lincoln, of course, and people like that. All right, Mr. Boston, do you disagree with anything in my setup to Trump speech tonight? I think it's accurate. I think if you see the Democratic women in Congress are playing on wearing pink, maybe the black Republican, I mean, African American Congressional Caucus is going to wear black. Who knows what other things they have planned in an attempt to draw a table? attention to themselves and thereby draw attention away from President Trump. President Trump
Starting point is 00:24:28 does need to do all the things that you said in terms of take the high road, talk about what he wants to do, what American must do to turn around where we've been the last four years, and to the extent he can keep it professional and under control and not take the bait that will surely come at him from certain members of the Democratic Congress. certainly uh cause him to have a better overall night and uh there's so much going on in the world right now with ukraine and russia with the imposition of these tariffs and what their impacts going to be on inflation as well as relations with mexico and canada uh and china a lot a lot of a lot of important stuff if you were writing the speech because i know you wrote
Starting point is 00:25:16 for the dallas morning news uh would you mention biden or and how much I would minimize it, if at all. I mean, his inaugural address, Trump's inaugural address was thrown exactly at Biden's face with Biden sitting there. So I don't think going back to reiterate those points that were made six weeks ago very emphatically is something that needs to be done. I think it would be a great opportunity for Trump to show that he's past that. He's ready to leave now. He's ready to take the country in new directions. He's not about retribution.
Starting point is 00:25:50 he's not about being critical of somebody who's no longer in the picture let's deal with today and let's move forward tomorrow i have a slight disagreement with you though if he's going to tell the american people about problems he's attempting to solve he's got to define the problem so uh in the bide administration for example uh we're going to do this later on in this broadcast medicaid spending went totally out of control spiral totally out of control spiral totally out of because the Biden administration allowed the states to abuse the federal money. The same thing with Doge. You know, you've got to lay off so many people in the federal apparatus because...
Starting point is 00:26:36 Your local Benjamin Moore retailer is more than a paint expert. There's someone with paint in their soul. A six cents honed over decades. And if you have a question about paint, it's almost as if they can read, your mind. I sense you need a two-inch angle brush for the trim in your family room. Regal selected an eggshell finish and directions to the post office. Benjamin Moore paint is only sold at locally owned stores.

Starting point is 00:27:35 There's way too many, and the budgets are just going through the roof. And he has to apply that to Biden in order to get sympathy for his firings, for example. Am I wrong? Well, I think he needs to address the problem, and obviously the problem was caused by his predecessor, not by him. What I was meaning by my remarks is, don't make it personal. It's fine to define the problem that he's now trying to tackle. We know that he didn't cause the problem his predecessor did, but let's talk about what we're
Starting point is 00:28:06 going to do about the problem. So don't call him sleepy, Joe. You don't need to sleepy in this. You just need the facts. Now, the Ukraine thing, he's got to get that up top. We hear rumors of me an announcement, but I guess they're tamping that down. NBC is reporting that the speech is going to be about rising American power, about how we're, you know, Trump, under Trump's leadership, Americans going to reassert its power
Starting point is 00:28:39 in the world. That's going to be an overarch. But Ukraine is the beginning of that. Now, Trump's kind of caught because he can't see. to the American people, here's what I'm going to do with Vlad Putin. You can't lay out his negotiating tactics, but at the same time he's got to explain why he's not hammering Putin who's as evil as they come, right? How would you handle that? Well, Trump obviously has very specific ideas about how he wants to negotiate this deal. He's met previously with Putin. He's obviously
Starting point is 00:29:13 now met with Zelensky. He's trying to figure out the best possible angle. and gaining information along the way with each transaction, each communication, each observation. I don't think in his own mind, he's established a set strategy for how he's going to deal with Putin. He obviously doesn't want to set anything back. He wants to think that whatever he does moves his position forward. He obviously wants to achieve a peace. I think everybody wants that. The question is under what terms, and is it going to be something that America is going to be happy with,
Starting point is 00:29:46 that Europe's going to be happy with or not? Is he going to look like Putin's foil, or is he going to look like he ultimately wins the negotiation? He darn sure does not want to look like Putin's foil. That would be a disaster. Do you think he has to explain why he slapped Zelensky around? Do you think he has to go into a micro on that? He probably will go into a micro.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Do I think he has to? I think he needs to offer a brief explanation. as to why he thought it was important on television in the Oval Office, something that's never happened before to have this kind of an angry confrontation with somebody who in many respects should be our ally, although he was not exactly on his best behavior. So I think some explanation is necessary,
Starting point is 00:30:34 but hopefully it won't go on and on and be too micro and won't involve too bad of personal criticism of the way Zelensky handled himself because that's not gonna advance the ball. You know, I would, if I were Trump, I would praise Zelensky. I would say, look, I understand why he's so emotional about it. Because country's getting battered. You got a million people lying dead.
Starting point is 00:30:56 You get eight million fled the country. I would almost be generous to Zelensky. That would just discombobulate the opposition, number one, and send a message to the world. It's not personal, where I think it is a little personal myself. I think Trump is offended by Zelensky's, swagger and a sense of entitlement. I saw it. It was visible. You know, Zelensky feels he's entitled to the United States' largesse. Where is it? No doubt that Zelensky, I think
Starting point is 00:31:31 today I saw something he's come out and realizes that he handled it him properly. This was not the time of the place or the manner to deal with this very delicate situation. I do think almost all Americans are pulling for Ukraine, and certainly nobody's pulling for Putin that has any sense at all. And so he knows whether the American people want this to come out. And it's his job to orchestrate it with the best possible deal. And his job to bring an end to this war. It's been going on so long. Well, the president didn't ask me. I have to be up front because sometimes he does. But if he had asked me, I would say, be a little conciliatory to Zelensky. Just send a message that, look, we understand your emotions got the better of you.
Starting point is 00:32:17 And, you know, when you're seeing people die all over the place, and there's no doubt that Putin's the most evil guy on earth, but if Trump wants to deal with him, he can't say it. When you agree with that, if Trump wants to get something out of Putin, he can't call him the most evil. My book coming up is confronting evil. I got Putin right on a cover. But I'm not negotiating a peace deal with the man.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Trump can't do that. Am I wrong? Well, anybody who's ever been involved in negotiation knows you don't start the negotiation by spitting in the guy's face or doing things to aggravate the guy. You know, the old adage, if somebody likes you, he'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and if he doesn't, he won't. Negotiations doesn't necessarily involve compromise, and nobody wants to even think about compromise if you've been personally insulted.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Right, and Zelensky has not been in that compromise zone. I want to be fair and point that out. Final question, you're a presidential historian. I believe that Trump is going for the gold here. And I know that because he's disgusted with me. He wants to be on Mount Rushmore. I mean, can't be on that mountain, but he can buy his own mountain. He put his face up there.
Starting point is 00:33:28 And I hope he's thinking about his legacy tonight when he delivers the speech, which is an important speech obviously, because pettiness. This doesn't get you on Mount Rushmore, right? The great president understand the concept of magnanimity, taking the high road, not taking the bait to your critics, seeing the big pictures, seeing it through, not getting bogged down in petty quarrels, and not that Trump has proven himself to be a student of history, but even with a skim reading of history, you'd know that's the way you behave. has been involved in hundreds, if not thousands of negotiations. He understands dealing with people
Starting point is 00:34:12 in the context of negotiation. And what happens in this Ukraine, Russia will definitely set the tone, I think, for the rest of his presidency. So this is extremely important, and he knows that, and hopefully he's going to come up with the best strategy that doesn't get personal, keeps all the objectives in the front of the mind, doesn't get sidetracked by personal attacks, and gets us to the go line sooner rather than later. That's a good point. That he knows, that this Ukraine thing is a linchpin for the next four years. Mr. Boston, thanks very much. Really appreciate the book again is How the Best Did It, Leadership Lessons from
Starting point is 00:34:49 Our Top Presidents, Talmadge of Boston. Okay, how about some polling, Emerson, that's a college in Boston. And a bunch of my friends went there, it's a good school, specialized in media. So a thousand registered voters, fair sample. First question, do you approve or disprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president? I approve 48, disapprove 43. That's a nice number for the president. Do you think the United States is given too much, too little, right amount to Ukraine?
Starting point is 00:35:20 Too much, 45, too little, 22, right amount 33. So that's another interesting number. Americans are getting a little testing now. Third question. which country do you believe walked away the winner from the oval office meeting USA 35 Ukraine 15 neither 46 I would probably say neither if I have been asked that final question do you approve or disprove the way Donald Trump is handling the war between Russia and Ukraine approved 41 disprove 44 no opinion 15 it evenly split with the
Starting point is 00:35:58 margin of error CNN poll now remember CNN they skewed left. Emerson, I haven't really seen any ideology in that poll, but CNN certainly skews left. Do you approve or disprove the way Donald Trump's handling his job as president? Prove 48, disapproved 52, very different from Emerson. Okay, but the margin of error is three, so it's very close. Second question, you think the policy is being proposed by Trump will move the country in the right direction or wrong direction? Right direction, 39. wrong direction, 45. No opinion, 15. Okay. All right, on a more mundane basis, but he's everywhere. Trump doesn't sleep. Starting point is 00:38:19 So Bowser can't do it because she doesn't want to do it. It's a far left person. She doesn't care if they're homeless campments, drug addicts run around, carjacking, she couldn't get her less. about that you know so trump did sign an executive order um focused on beautification clearing homeless camps tougher prosecutions for gun crimes and nuisance crimes like public urination and graffiti in washington dc that's already in play so now he's going to i guess send out the park service that's what he would use to get all those homeless people out of there And Bowser, you know, does Bowser care about all this?
Starting point is 00:39:04 No. It's like Wu in Boston and Johnston in Denver and Johnson in Chicago and on and on and on. They don't care because their constituency is to hate Trump cadre. I'll read it for the radio people. Main number of the IRS, 800, 829. one zero four zero and the irs says it gets to you fairly quickly let me know if that's true or not if you have a business and you need information about taxes it's different eight hundred a two nine four nine three three if you want to find a free tax clinic and many people need this one

Starting point is 00:41:39 Smart life. Pay it, or go into the system and try to negotiate it. Now, there are tax agencies that negotiate for you, but they charge you a fee. Okay, and I'm not recommending anybody on that. I'm just telling you what your option. are. If you do contact the IRS, and this is important as well, on the table in front of you, you get the phone, got the table, you have your Social Security number, your data buried, the last time you file the tax return, the date, and a copy of that tax return.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Because the agent who answers the phone or the person, I'm going to ask you questions. and you want to be stammering around and get the name of the people you're talking to not just first name not just Natalie I talked to Natalie Natalie who I don't know it was Natalie hey there's a hundred thousand people working for them some of them are named Natalie you get and that just doesn't go for the IRS because anybody you're talking to do about any business at all get their full names if they won't give you the full name, the end of the conversation. That's it. Okay, smart life. ABC News, laying off 200 people. And I'm really sorry, I worked for ABC, and I had a very good experience working for them as a correspondent
Starting point is 00:43:12 under Peter Jennings. Okay, this is, just letting people go because ABC is doing that. That's it. Most of the hemorrhaging is in Good Morning America. So 10 years ago, Good Morning America, average more than 6 million viewers a day. They're down about 2.5 million. And sinking. That's a 56% drop. Why are they sinking? Two reasons.
Starting point is 00:43:41 A, you don't learn anything on Good Morning America. Unless you want to make an omelet. Okay? I mean, they're not giving you anything. There's nobody there. They're just ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. And let's go to the weather. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:43:53 You can get that on your local. You can get that on the Internet. And the second thing is that people who aren't even watching network TV anymore. It's too boring. So they're, you know, when you're down 56%, you can't pay. That's why Doge is cutting all the government jobs because it can't pay. We're bankrupt here in the United States. Now ABC Disney is not bankrupt because of the theme parks and some of their movies,
Starting point is 00:44:19 but they're going, they're hurting on the TV side. here is the final thought of the day older people consume news on television it's always been that way but now it's crazy so the average age of the CNN viewer the median age means half or older half or younger CNN 68 years old Fox News 69 MSMBT 70 whoa A lot of old-timers. And the networks, you know, the evening news and they're about the same. But with us, we're on YouTube now. So our viewership, younger, much, much younger than it was when I was doing a factor.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Because we're worldwide on YouTube. All right. And I can prove it. Put that picture up there. This is Luca. All right. Luca is the grandson of my good friends in Texas outside of Dallas, and Luke is a big no-spin news fan. Way to go, Luca. Now that brings my median age down a lot because Luke is like one.
Starting point is 00:45:41 No, it brings it down. Thank you very much for watching and listening to the no-spin news. See you on Monday.
