Well, let's tell you about on the tariff front with President Trump, but there's a new Pope.
So I think we'll lead with that tonight.
I do not know Cardinal Robert Francis Provost.
All right, he is from Chicago.
He is a protege.
of the Cardinal of Chicago.
And he looks like a good guy to me from my initial research,
but I don't know him.
I don't know anyone who does know him
because he hasn't been in America for 10 years.
So he was the leading Catholic cleric in Peru.
In fact, he holds Peruvian citizenship
as well as American citizenship, two passports.
69 years old, born in Chicago.
First American Pope in history.
I hope that's a good thing.
He looks like a good guy to me,
just watching his demeanor when he came out on the Vatican balcony
and greeted the folks, and here's what he had to say, Roland.
The Pope, who blessed Rome, gave his blessing to the world,
to the entire world, that morning of Easter.
Allow me to follow up on that blessing, God loves us, God loves everyone, evil will not prevail.
We are all in the hands of God.
Therefore, without fear, united, hand in hand with God and amongst ourselves, let us go forward.
I like the line, evil will not prevail.
I like that line.
So I'm going to send them a copy of confronting evil.
My book, that'll be out in September.
Now, the new pope, if you don't read Roman numerals, he is Leo the 14th.
All right.
My Catholic school upbringing, drum that into my head.
I got those Roman numerals.
So he was active in the USA in the early part of it.
of his career, 1982 to 85. And then from 2000 to 2014, the rest of the time he spent in Peru and
Rome, and he was had a good position in Rome, and he was friendly with Pope Francis, who, of course,
was in Argentine. And Peru is right across the continent. Now, Peru is an interesting country,
very poor, not as destable as Colombia, Venezuela.
even Argentina and Brazil, but there's a big gulf in Peru between the wealthy and the poor.
And I think you're going to see a lot of sympathy for the poor from the new Pope.
Now, he was educated Villanova, Philadelphia, a bachelor's science degree in math.
He's got to speak a bunch of languages.
I know he speaks Italian, English, and Spanish.
I am trying to track down.
the other language.
He's 69 years old, as I said.
And it looks like, you know, from the just cursory view that he is a good choice.
Now, why should you care if you're not Catholic?
Because on this planet, there are very few institutions devoted to try to spread peace on earth goodwill to men.
You don't have a lot of that going on.
Do you?
And you can pick apart the Catholic Church.
That's not hard to do.
It's run by men.
A lot of those men are evil.
Okay?
And we saw that over the past few decades.
But the theology is pretty solid, in my opinion.
That's why I am a Catholic.
But we need some kind of tempering of the evil that we see every day.
And the totalitarians, you know, like the Chinese, they don't want the Catholic Church.
Putin says he's an Orthodox, Russian Orthodox adherent, but he's not.
He's a murderer.
He's a killer.
And the Pope really can't do anything about those guys.
If you read Killing the SS, you'll see what the Pope came up against when he tried to temper Hitler.
And it was impossible that he's.
bad, evil people, they override the good people, but we still need to hear from the good
people. And that's why the Pope's story is important. And, you know, if I find somebody
denigrating my religion, I speak up, I don't let it go. And I know that we are a secular
country. I'm not a holy roller. I don't proselytize on this program. I tell you, you know,
who I am, what I do, why I believe, what I believe. But I'm, you know, I'm, you know, I'm
optimistic that this Pope will be a positive force for humanity. And I think that's what we need,
okay? And I'll have more on Monday as we delve into this, but I think it's a positive,
all around, even if you don't believe. All right, let's do the talking points on the UK trade
deal with President Trump. So, this is a fascinating.
story. As I told you, I talked to the Pope yesterday, Wednesday morning, the Pope, the President,
the President yesterday, Wednesday morning, and a lot of it was about the tariffs, and he's
buoyant. He believes he's going to get these deals laid down. And I don't know. How can I
possibly know? All I can do is report what's happening. So today, the UK and the USA made a deal
that the president says going to help our country with ethanol, beef, machinery, and agricultural products.
We do have a trade surplus with Great Britain.
That means we derive more money from them than they, from us, which is one of the few countries in the world,
which is why this deal was easier to make.
But it looks like a good deal to me for both countries, all right?
And it sends a message that this tariff stuff is underway.
way. The British Prime Minister, Kier Starrmer, he's a pretty good relationship with Donald
Trump. And so I'm happy to see this because I want every American to prosper. I want our
economy strong. I don't care if it comes to Donald Trump or Joe Biden or Barack Obama or Bush
the Younger. I just want us to be strong. I want you to make as much money as you can
bank, honestly. Okay, that's my goal. Now, about an hour after the deal was announced, the
Dow was up 650 points. I don't know, you know, we taping before it closed, so the thing goes all
over the place, and that's not good. I want to stable it down. I think in the next few weeks,
you're going to see a number of tariff deals. So here's what President Trump said today,
Roland. With this deal, the UK joins the United States in affirming that reciprocity and
fairness is an essential and vital principle of international trade.
The deal includes billions of dollars of increased market access for American exports,
especially in agriculture, dramatically increasing access for American beef, ethanol,
and virtually all of the products produced by our great farmers.
All right, is there a downside?
Of course there's a downside to the people who hate Trump,
because they don't want him to prosper.
They would rather see you suffer than him prosper.
Just think about that.
All right.
So last night I went on News Nation, Chris Cuomo.
And Cuomo is taking the Democrat line on the tariffs,
that they have not helped the United States so far.
Well, it's only been a month.
My tactic is, wait.
This is a total reworking of the American economy.
And so you can't make any judgments on it in a month other than to hope it succeeds, right?
Roll the tape.
Bill, what am I saying that you don't like? Help me.
Everything.
Really?
It's like fighting the civil war.
Yeah.
It's like fighting the civil war.
The first year was a disaster for the North.
And, oh, no, we lost.
Oh, we can't do this.
We can't do it.
No, you have to let it unfold.
Unemployment, as I told the congressman, auction.
losses from uh in a town home meeting it's 4.2 percent consumer spending is still at the level it
is there's no need to cut interest rates the fed didn't do it today okay the economy is humming
along quomo and you're painting it as 1929 oh no i'm not i'm not i'm not paying it as 1929 at
all and the market is gambling it goes up and down i'm talking about the realities of small business
and people who are trying to borrow money right now.
They can't, Bill.
That's a real.
4.2 unemployment is about as low as he gets.
4.2 unemployment is.
It's almost full employment,
which is why this ties into a different issue
known as immigration.
Oh, the deflection.
Look, the economy, thank God, is pretty good right now.
And Trump says it's going to be a lot better
when these draft deals roll in.
I don't know.
But you give them a little more time.
But the Democrats don't want them to succeed.

Now, Cuomo's not a hater.
See, he's not at the level of MSNBC,
which is just a disgrace.
I've never seen anything like that.
And that's Comcast, NBC News.
I know they're getting rid of it,
but every blanken day,
all they do is sell hate, hate, hate.
Roll it.
It sounds like this is a marginal deal and that it's not that big of a deal when we look at.
I'm curious to see the details of how much there will be in change compared to what we previously had with the U.K.
And then the U.K. officials also know that in order to negotiate the best deal for their country that they need to stroke his ego.
And so that's kind of, I think, what we saw take place there.
Sure.
It doesn't matter what Trump does.
Close the border.
Doesn't matter.
Okay. Get a good deal with UK and tariff trade. Doesn't matter. Oh, no. Just attack, attack, attack. This is NBC.
Not some fringe lunatic website. And these people are paid to do this every day.
That's the memo.
All right.
Latest Harvard Harris poll, run by our pal Mark Penn.
Fair poll, 2,286 registered voters.
That's a big, big crew.
Okay.
Favorability of Donald Trump as president.
Approved 48, disapprove 46.
Right or wrong track of the country, right track 39, wrong, 49.
10-point gap.
Next question, do you approve of the Republican Party
of disapprove, approve 51, disapprove 49.
Finally, approve or disapprove of the Democratic Party,
approve 42, disapprove 58, big gap.
Joining us now, Miami, Florida is Mark Penn.
He's a chairman and CEO of Stagwell, a global marketing firm.
And you do oversee this poll.
But this poll is different than most of us.
other polls, how come?
Sorry, you went in and out of there.
This poll, your poll,
Harvard Harris, is different than
most of the other polling. Why?
Well, look, you know, we interview
voters, and you have to be careful.
Well, there are two things.
One, you have to differentiate between the polls
that tend to interview
all adults, because all adults
tend to be more negative about everything.
And so they're more negative towards
all politicians than voter polls.
We're a voter poll.
The second thing is, I made sure to readjust my sample after the election
to make sure that it represents that the Republicans now are a bigger party than the Democrats.
That was the result of the election.
That's what Gallup found.
And I think a lot of the other polls just, you know, basically had Harris winning
and then stuck with their exact sample.
We had it very close within two points either way.
We've made sure that our samples, we believe, accurately represent the country.
And it's not like Donald Trump's in the 70s or anything, but he certainly has continued to keep his constituency, maybe a little bit more.
He's got some very high approval ratings on some of the policies he is pursuing and some things that people are not as happy with.
Okay. And I'm a kind of guy that puts the polls into perspective as far as data,
is concerned. And you're running an honest poll. I've never had a problem with Harvard
Harris poll. I don't have a problem with Gallup. All right, McLaughlin is always very accurate,
and the guys in Brazil are good. Forget their names now, but they were the best on the presidential
race. Do you believe that there are certain outfits that have their thumb, cliche,
on the polling scale and want to deliver a bad poll number for Trump?
Well, look, I think you've seen the entire media, you know, gang up pretty much on the president and his policies.
You've seen it, I mean, look, imports are only 10% of the country, and a 10% tariff on 10% of the country is 1%.
And, oh, my God, did you see dire predictions of complete economic collapse here?
All right, tariffs, you know, may not be a positive move compared to tax cuts and may have some dislocations, but relatively speaking, you saw this vast exaggeration of their size and impact, and at the same time, it's the same thing I think that you see in some of these polls.
They don't ask the questions, you know, that they don't want the answers to.
we're very clear, you know, people support taking those people who are here illegally and committed
crimes out of the country. There's no question about that. They may not be for renaming the Gulf of
Mexico into Gulf of America, but when it comes to the core immigration policies that the
president is pursuing, that's supported by like 70% of the country, if not more.
Well, I think, and you correct me if I'm wrong, you know more about this than I do, but I'm
around a while. When you are being paid to deliver data, you pretty much want to please your
paymaster. It's a psychological thing. And if there are ways that you can do that, and you point
in one of them out by keeping an obsolete model, that the Democratic Party has a bigger presence
than the Republican Party, when that's not true any longer. But nobody knows whether you're keeping
that or not, except you, and you want to get paid, you'll keep the obsolete model.
That just makes sense, right?
Well, let me say that the Harvard Harris Bowl is done as a not fit.
Purely because I felt that newspaper polls were no longer reflecting the kind of more accurate
polling than I did at the Wheat House when I worked with President Clinton.
Because, I mean, I went back and I saw, well, sanctuary cities.
would you think it's popular that cities don't pick up people who are designated and committed crimes and deport them?
Well, I found out that no poll had asked that question since 1978, right?
So a lot of the polls don't carry the questions they don't want the answers to.
Now, I'm not going to indict the whole profession.
People run honest polls, you know.
But your poll is a lot different than 80% of them.
Let me ask you one more question, forward-looking.
The media, as you pointed out, does have a tendency to try to panic the folks.
You use the tariff example, the import example, is very low.
When the folks hear that and then they see a down day on the stock market or a down week,
they do indeed panic.
And that is reflected in the polling, correct?
Yeah, I have actually found that the voters
are less sensitive to the stock market.
They're mostly sensitive to the prices that they pay
and to the unemployment rate.
And those things very much directly affect politics.
Look, why isn't Trump in the 50s or 60s, right?
Because the most important issue right now is inflation.
and people haven't experienced inflation coming down or prices down.
Even though gas and eggs are down somewhat,
the president is off on a lot of other issues,
particularly immigration, but also on tariffs,
on a number of these others.
But the voters, I think, are really looking for a demonstration
that the economy is going to be strong,
that his economic policies are going to work,
and that their wages are going to grow faster than prices.
That's what he's trying to do, but nobody knows whether that is going to work or not.
Mark Penn, thank you very much.
We always enjoy talking to you, and we'll speak again soon, I hope.
Thank you.
60 minutes.
You know, this really hurts me to report this story.
So Scott Pelley is a good correspondent.
He broke the record for Emmys.
He won 51 or something like that.
He despises Donald Trump.
He puts himself up as Edward R. Merle versus
is McCarthy, Senator McCarthy. That's what Pelley's doing here. And it's peace after piece
after piece. Trump is the devil. Trump is the devil. Trump is suing 60 minutes. You know the
story. All right. So last night, they do a story about Trump threatening law firms denying them
federal business because of what Trump sees as corruption of those law firms. The guy that Pelley
centers in on is named Mark Elias.
he was the top lawyer for Hillary Clinton when she ran against Trump in 2016.
Pelly turns Elias into a hero.
Go.
Donald Trump hates me because I fight hard and I fight for free and fair elections.
I insist on fighting for democracy in court, fighting for voting rights in court,
and insist on telling the truth about what the outcome of the 2020 election was.
that's a bunch of bad word it's a bunch of bull okay Trump does not despise Elias because he fights for
freedom or anything else he despises Elias because of this number one Elias when he was running
the Hillary Clinton campaign hired fusing GPS to do opposition research against Donald Trump
They then hired the British firm that put together the anti-Trump dossier in the Russian collusion fraud.
So Mark Alias is directly responsible for that whole Russian collusion fraud,
which he thought would derail Trump and lead Hillary Clinton to the White House.
That's why Trump hates it.
and subsequently there was an investigation, it was no Russian collusion, an FBI agent went to
prison or was convicted for ginning up phony Pfizer warrants, all that came from Elias.
Okay? Pelley didn't mention it once. Now once, I'm sitting there stunned, okay? In addition, he's got three
lawyers, Elias and two others, pounding Trump as a fascist who wants to destroy the Justice
Department. Not one lawyer who supports Trump. Not one in the whole piece. I tweeted about it.
I mean, I'm sitting there going, what is going on in this country when this CBS News puts this
on the air. And they know what they're doing. They know who Elias is and what he did with
fusing GPS. They know. And they ignored it 100%. They couldn't find one Trump lawyer to put
forth Trump's point of view. 60 minutes. Joining us now from Washington, Victoria
Coates, former... The Red Hot Clarence event is on right now at Burlington. And I'm excited for the
markdowns. It's all about savings on top of savings throughout the store. This is when I stock up
on styles from my closet, home decor, and much more, because there's up to 70% off other
retailers' prices on clearance. I mean, I'm going every day, because these prices, too hot to miss.
Burlington. Deals, brands, wow. Styles and selections may vary by location.
You set the table, put on a playlist, even made the lasagna from scratch, and now you're wearing it.

Deputy National Security Advisor to Donald Trump in his first term. Now works for the Heritage Foundation,
Vice President of National Security. Boy, that's an impressive resume you got. There, Ms. Coates. Very good.
So, look, I don't know what she and Putin want. Do you know what they want?
Well, good to be with you, Bill.
And if you throw the PhD in Italian Renaissance art history on my resume,
then you really have quite the confection going on.
I think we see what's going on with Putin and G
really over the last three years playing out in real time.
And as I look back at this,
this is one of the big geopolitical changes
that President Trump confronts now
that is very different from what we had in 2017 to 2021.
Because this all came about after the fall of Afghanistan,
I think both Xi and Putin realized they had real weakness in the White House and that they could explore what they call their partnership with no without limits.
And that was instigated, I think, in Beijing, just weeks before the tanks rolled into Ukraine, no coincidence there.
And they are trying to set up a poll that will be in competition with the United States and ultimately in their minds defeat the United States and our allies.
So it's not a natural partnership.
They have not historically liked each other, Russia and China, particularly.
well. It's something we've been able to split apart in the past. But right now, they have a huge
vested, both military and economic mutual interests that they have built over these years. And so
I'm really concerned going forward that it's not just going to be them, but there are two other
sort of junior partners around in North Korea, creating a lot of trouble for the United States.
All right. When you say defeat the United States, they're not going to defeat the United States
militarily. If there is a war, then it will be mutual destruction. Everyone will die.
Economically, Russia is a third world country when it comes to economics. They have no consumer
power at all. China can't send its stuff into Russia. They don't make any money. They have to
deal with the United States if they want to keep their economy afloat. So I don't understand why
Xi and Putin, two tyrants, totalitarians, they want to defeat the United States. They want to defeat
the United States. How? How would they do that? Well, I think they saw a much, a much straighter
path towards that in the previous administration. And in terms of goods, the way they're setting
that up right now, Bill, is Russians have to, with the revenues that China gives them for
natural resources, the Russians have to buy Chinese goods. So their imports of Chinese goods
have gone to the historic level. Yeah, but it's all energy stuff. It's not stuff made,
They're not buying the hats, the shirts, the sneaks.
There's no disposable income.
And plus, the Chinese don't want rubles, Victoria.
They want oil and gas.
And so what they're doing is forcing the Russians to purchase their stuff for the oil and gas.
It's almost like a barter arrangement.
Now, I agree with you.
We are currently dominant in a lot of areas.
We are very concerned at the Heritage Foundation, however, about the historic military buildup
that's going on in China.
It dwarfs a number of things that are going on,
or historically, in terms of military buildup.
That's why the president's budget is so important
because he is talking about both reducing waste and bloat
and unnecessary activities in our DOD,
but investing in the kind of things that China is.
That didn't happen under President Biden.
And it's now starting to happen under President Trump.
And we look forward to working closely with Congress
to help him implement that, but that is necessary work.
Because if we stay on the trajectory that we're on, I mean, China has a bigger Navy than we do at this point.
That's a fact.
But again, yeah, I get that and I understand that.
And I know the threat to Taiwan.
And I'm going to China in three weeks.
And I see what they're doing with the military.
But again, with the weaponry that is in play now, it's not about the infantry or the Navy any longer.
You can blow these ships right out of the ocean with the high.
high-tech weaponry that we have. So I guess it's an intimidation thing. Let me ask you one more
question based on history. It used to be that Mao Zizhong and the Soviet leaders wanted
to take over the world and make everybody communist. Well, Russia's not even communist anymore.
It's more totalitarian fascist than communists, although they don't respect private property.
China hardcore communist, is that still in play? Do they still want to make everybody?
communist?
Well, I want to talk to you when you get back from your trip.
That sounds fascinating.
But I think in this case, you're seeing more of a marriage of convenience rather than a likeness
between these two countries.
I agree with you.
There's no cultural bond at all, and they cut each other's throats if they had to.
But the end game is what I am still not, and when I go, I'm supposedly going to give an address
to she's guys at the Beijing Club.
Have you ever been to the Beijing club?
I didn't even know there was a Beijing club.
Maybe I'll play a little racquetball before I give my speech.
Ping pong.
But I'm going to try to find out what,
you know, they're not going to tell me the truth.
I understand that.
But I'm not seeing, you know, I understood what Hitler wanted.
I understood what the Stalin wanted.
Mao.
I got it all.
I knew what Ho Chi Minh wanted.
I don't know what she wants.
It seems that China could improve itself domestically,
and I know he doesn't care about his own people,
if they would just calm it all down.
And Putin into Ukraine, for what?
For what?
That does you no good at all.
I'll give you the last word.
Well, I think it doesn't from our perspective.
I think from Xi's perspective,
it's a distraction for the United States.
States something that's not really in our vital national security interests, but into which we've
poured a ton of money and material over the last three years. So I think he's fine with that. I think
this is more of a death of a thousand cuts kind of thing for the United States and reducing our
influence to expand theirs. That's again why this tariff situation is so important. For economics,
for power, for, you know, you know where I'm going with this. It's just not clearly defined.
But we appreciate your point of view, and I will talk to you when I get back in China.
If I'm not in a gulag somewhere, you know.
We'll come get you out.
Thank you.
I appreciate that, Victoria, very nice.
And thanks for talking to us today.
All right, India, Pakistan.
It's going on since 700 AD, okay, India and Pakistan have hated each other since 700 AD, and it wasn't even Indian and Pakistan that.
It was Hindu, India, Muslim, Pakistan.
They ate each other.
It's like the Jews and the Arabs, it'll never end.
So a few weeks ago, the jihadists attacked a hotel.
Excuse me, this was allergy stuff.
The jihadists attacked a hotel in Kashmir, northern part of India and Pakistan,
and they killed murder 28 Indians for no reason at all.
So India is mad, and it's throwing some missiles into Pakistan,
and they're throwing back.
Now, the press, of course, is, oh, two nuclear nations, or, look, you pinheads.
I know you don't know anything out there, network news people.
I understand you don't know anything.
If you are a nuclear nation next to another nuclear nation,
and you drop or use a nuclear bomb, your own people will die.
Okay, do you understand now?
So you look at the map.
Anyway, flare-ups happen every year or so.
Don't know what's going to come out.
We're following it.
Back home.
Attorney General Pamboni, Bondi announces the biggest fentanyol bust in history.
This is off the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico.
As we said, you have to take care of these boys.
it happened in the southwest okay so Colorado Nevada New Mexico Arizona joint federal local task force
listen to the numbers okay three million fentanyl lace pills three million
okay seven point five kilos of cocaine four point five kilos of heroin
49 rifles and pistols 35
loads of methamphetamine. This is all from Cinaloa. So they use their people. Six of those
arrested undocumented migrants. Okay, there you go, open border Joe Biden. And good for them.
Now, none of these people should get bail. And if they're convicted, they should get, what,
30 years? See, if you would punish these people harshly, it would make it more difficult.
difficult for them to operate.
All right, Ukraine.
So Trump is a little fit up with Putin,
and I told you this last week.
So the first salvo is that the USA is going to send
advanced weapons to systems, defense systems,
to Ukraine.
They're taking the Patriot missile system,
some of it, from Israel.
They're refurbishing it,
and they're giving it to Ukraine.
to Ukraine to stop the drones and the Russian planes.
It costs $1 billion to build the Patriot missile system,
and it takes 90 military people to run it.
I think that means that we'll have US trainers
in the Ukraine, training Ukrainians
how to run these complicated Patriot missiles.
systems. I think that's a signal that Trump is sending to Putin. Again, I hear this reported
widely, you know, but I think Putin's got it. Now, she, the Chinese premier and Putin are meeting
tomorrow through Saturday in Moscow. The Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, she's going to go
nuts in Moscow. There's nothing to do in Moscow. Absolutely nothing to do. How much caviar can you
can you eat? So, four days. Now, those two, what they're going to be talking about is how to
continue to weaken the USA. That's what they're going to talk about. I don't think she
wants a showdown in Ukraine, but I could be wrong. But anyway, they're there. We'll cover.
We'll have a good guest on tomorrow talking about this is important stuff for every American.
You know, it's a dangerous world out there.
Smart lives.
So I wake up this morning and I'm looking at my dopey phone.
And on the tech side, there is, it comes in, it says,

Your local Benjamin Moore retailer is more than a paint expert.
There's someone with paint in their soul,
a six-sense honed over decades.
And if you have a question about paint,
it's almost as if they can read your mind.
I sense you need a two-inch angle brush for the trim in your family room.
Regal selected an eggshell finish and directions to the post office.
Benjamin Moore paint is only sold at locally owned stores.
Benjamin Moore, see the love.
Motor Vehicles Bureau, okay, you have unpaid fees to the New York State Motor Vehicle Bureau.
That's what it has on my text.
No, I don't.
and the MBA doesn't do business like that.
Okay, they don't have my text number.
So it's a scam.
And what they wanted me to do is open it, okay,
so they get all my personal information access.
This is illegal.
Okay, so that happens.
Who do I report it to?
There's no agency in New York State that monitors this.
I can report it, call a police, please,
are going to go, what do you want us to do about?
We're going to call the FBI office?
Who am I going to call?
This is someone who's trying to break into my house through my phone.
That's what they're trying to do.
And you get them too.
And most people open them.
And boom, they're right into your personal information.
Who does you open them?
Smart life.
The problem is, is nobody going after these people.
There's nowhere to report it.
it. And the scammers know it. And that's why you have billions and probably trillions
worldwide of theft through the machines. Smart light. If there is any text that comes to you
or an email and you don't know the address, obliterate it right away. Do not open it.
Harvard.
I'm just up in the, I'm just updating UNS.
We've covered it fairly and extensively, and you know what the story is.
So now, according to Newsmax, I'm going to quote the Newsmax dispatch.
Okay.
A government official in Trump administration accused Harvard of serious failures in four areas.
Anti-Semitism, racial discrimination, abandonment of rigor and viewpoint
diversity. To come eligible for new grants, Harvard would need to enter negotiations with the
federal government and prove it as satisfied the administration's demands, unquote. So as of now,
no more federal money rolls into Harvard. Now, Harvard's suing federal government. It's going to
take some time. That lawsuit's going to take some time. Okay? But boom, it's out. And that's the
power that Donald Trump has. Now, he may lose, I don't think he will.
I think federal government's got enough on Harvard and say, look,
I'm going to send a tax money into an organization like this.
But they could lose.
Harvard could win, but it will take forever.
All right, here is the final thought of the day.
So every morning I take about 45 minutes to an hour to work on concierge members' questions.
All right, and we have a staff for that.
And people write in about problems they're having,
and we guide them to the solution.
That's what we do.
And then people have news questions,
and they have questions about many, many things,
and we answer those questions, okay?
It's a very worthy program,
concierge membership to bill o'Reilly.com.
One of the themes, and I had it again this morning,
is that older people, say, over the age of 60, get in trouble.
Somebody does something mean to them, nasty, unfair, and they have no money to right the wrong.
They're broke.
They're utterly dependent on Social Security, maybe a little bit of a pension.
They have the government entitlements that they paid into, and they don't have any other reserve.
you are powerless if that's your circumstance.
People can do stuff to you and you cannot write the wrong.
Because to do that, you have to hire a lawyer.
You have to file against the bad person.
And if you don't have the money to do it,
you're gonna get screwed.
Now, it's too late for many of the senior citizens.
They're not gonna get any more money.
But here's the scandal in America.
Money management is not taught in any public school
that I know of.
Maybe there's a few accounting courses,
but how to handle money is not taught.
So kids grow up and they have no blank an idea
how to accumulate, save, invest, do anything with money.
And if they have ridiculous parents and watch the parents spend all the money,
that's what the kids are going to do.
Okay?
There's no guidance, no effort on the part of the public school system in the United States of America
to educate citizens about money, which is the most important thing in a capitalist society.
If you do not have it, you are defenseless, as I said.
Now, when I write back to these concierge members who are absolutely screwed,
And a lot of it's horrific.
You know, people are doing stuff to them, and you can go to small claims court.
That doesn't cost much.
You can go to legal aid.
Some of the legal aid stuff is responsible.
Some of it isn't.
That's free advice, legal aid.
Okay?
If you're a vet, you can go to your VFW.
You can get the names of veteran doctors and lawyers and things like that who may help you
because you've got that similarity in being veterans.
There are pathways that I can give you.
But in the end, okay, if you are indigent and you can't cover the bills, you're never going to be able to protect yourself, ever.
And this makes me so sad because a lot of these people are good people.
They just never paid attention.
Yeah, it's their fault, okay, somewhat.
But a lot of them are ill.
A lot of them got hurt by accidents.
A lot of them got swindled.
out of their money.
My friend Billy Joel got swindled out of tens of millions of dollars,
and he's talented enough to get it back when most people aren't.
So you've got to, if you are a parent or grandparent,
you've got to sit down with those urchins and you've got to talk about money.
You have to.
I told you this many times.
My father said to me, whatever you take home,
whether you're shoveling snow, you're babysitting, you're cutting longs,
Right, 10% goes in the bank.
And I have done that since I'm 12 years old.
And then when you get a certain amount of money,
you can invest it cautiously, okay,
interest and all that, bonds that pay interest,
cautiously, and then you're not going to be broke.
How many kids know that?
Very few.
Okay, that is the final thought.
And I hope you consider concierge membership
because even if you're in bad shape,
we can probably alleviate your suffering somewhat.
Thank you for watching and listening to the Nostman News.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. We'll see you again on Monday.
