Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the No Spin News for Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, Fight for Your Freedom. So this is really interesting. One of the most interesting stories that I've covered in years. Impeachment mania, okay? That's fair, right? Everybody's talking about impeachment. So now your humble correspondent goes out and asks people, what's the crime? So if they're Trump supporters, there's no crime right away.
Starting point is 00:00:30 if they don't like Donald Trump, there's a silence. And I've done this, I don't know, 20 people, regular folks. This is a silence. And you go, well, it looks like he was bullying a foreign country or, you know, and it's a million little, but there's no real crime. So I do a lot of radio, right? I'm on the radio promoting the United States of Trump. And I'm on WBAL in Baltimore.
Starting point is 00:00:57 That's an affiliate station of the O'Reilly Up. and I'm on with a very smart guy named Clarence Mitchell. So we're talking impeachment on the radio. And I say to him, so Clarence, what's the crime? And he says, well, there isn't a crime per se, but there's an election violation. I said, that's interesting, Clarence. Tell me about that.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Because Clarence actually ran for office at one point. He said, if you enlist the help of a foreign nation, nation in an American election, that's unethical. I said, okay, I'm down with that. I think that's a good, it's not a law, but a good guideline. However, if there's a reason other than the election to ask a foreign leader about a situation, as there clearly is with Joe Biden's presence in the Ukraine, clearly. You can't say, unless the words are mentioned, help me in election, that President Trump use that phone call as an election vehicle. Because he didn't, really. I mean, I know why he made the call. It's clear to me. He doesn't like Joe Obama. He believes Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:02:16 He believes Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton hurt him intentionally and unethically in a 2016 election. he's trying to ferret that information out. That's why he made a call. Okay, so Mr. Mitchell exceeded that point. So if there's another reason, then you're asking a foreign leader to do me a favor, which Donald Trump did. You can't pin it on an election violation. So that's where we are. We're in a twilight zone, and I'm sorry I use that illusion so much, of there's no crime and the media wants impeachment. And Nancy Pelosi figured out that she can do this under the cover of the media who will cheer her and her party on. You are listening to a free excerpt from
Starting point is 00:03:07 Bill O'Reilly.com's No Spin News broadcast where you can actually see me. We'll be right back after this message. Starting point is 00:03:51 So, um, I'm sitting there in my living room between radio interviews, because I'm doing a slew of them for the United States of Trump. And I'm flipping around cable TV, and I come across CNN. Now, I don't sit on CNN. I never go to MSNBC. Fox News once in a while now, because, you know, let's you say I don't learn a lot. So CNN has a feature on Elizabeth Warren and her husband. Roll the tape. Is there anything you could tell us about the senator that we don't know about? Oh, probably there's a lot. Just a minute.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Just something the average person wouldn't know about Senator Warren. Oh, gosh. Oh, my goodness. Oh, to the rescue. Now, I use Holly the Tara dog, so I can't criticize the dog. Could they have seated themselves any closer together? Now, if you watch the interview, and I did, it was cloying, word of the day, cloying, C-L-O-Y-I-N-G. Now, look, if the Elizabeth Warren husband, who teaches at Harvard law, I mean, if they're happy and
Starting point is 00:05:20 Cambridge and they get along and I'm happy. I am. I want them to be happy. I want every American to be happy domestically. But it was so contrived. I used that word in the coverage of the impeachment. It's just like I'm saying, you know, all right, okay. And I'm just thinking, would they have ever, CNN owned by AT&T, done that with Donald and Melania? No, Mike Pence and his wife? I don't think you're going to see that. So if they did do a feature with Donald and Melania, do you know anything about Donald that we don't know?
Starting point is 00:06:07 Melania probably knows plenty. But instead of a dog coming in, it would probably be a great white shark come in. So I just thought I'd point that out. That is a little bit of a double standard as far as coverage is concerned. You are listening to a free excerpt from Bill O'Reilly.com's No Spin News broadcast, where you can actually see me. We'll be right back after this message. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning, I'll bring you the stories that matter, plus the news people actually talk about, the juicy details in the worlds of politics, business,
Starting point is 00:06:49 culture and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, let's get to some mail on a message board. William says, Bill, I agree that Donald Trump needs to talk directly to the American people and explain himself. Do you think he will? I don't know. You should have done it already. I know he knows that I suggested it, but I don't know if he'll do it or not.
Starting point is 00:07:27 E. Blan, concierge member, and we are recruiting new concierge members here. On the concierge membership, it's a little bit more than a premium membership, but I save you tons of money. You asked me about travel, you asked me about logistics, you asked me about certain things to buy. I tell you, I can save you a lot of money
Starting point is 00:07:46 if you're a concierge member. Okay. Eblan says the president has a point, he should be able to meet the whistleblower. Do you agree? No. Whistleblower should be protected. I don't think, unless the whistleblower is suing somebody, then of course. But if he's just informing, you got to protect the federal whistleblower. Gino, another concierge member, way to go, Gino. Bill, how does the Senate decide whether or not to hold an impeachment trial, in my opinion,
Starting point is 00:08:17 and Mitch the Turtle's decision, then it'll be an impeachment hearing regardless of the fact. McConnell doesn't want this. He doesn't want this. So I can't tell you what he's going to do, but he's shrewd. Diane Fringuelly, Rochester, Massachusetts, just finished the United States of Trump, which was my premium membership renewal gift. Excellent. You've written the book with so much of yourself in it. I felt as though you were in my living room with me as I read it, Bill.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Well, excellent read, couldn't put it down. Congratulations on another hit. Diane, the United States, Trump sold more than 100,000 copies in the first six days. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you all. Really fast out of the gate. Elaine, I bought six copies in the United States of Trump. There you go, Elaine. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:09:09 To give his gifts in a passing on capacity, much like a chain letter. I include a note, read this book, then pass it on. pass it on. Well, we don't want to get that passing on too much. You did the right thing by Biden's six copies. Karen, I just finished the United States Trump in record time. I'm thankful that President Trump is able to withstand so much negativity as he earnestly attempts to save our country. God bless him. And you for writing the book. Well, thank you, Karen. And here's a good idea. Get some of many people that you know and say, look, read the United States of Trump and we'll have a little party to discuss it. That'd be fun.
Starting point is 00:09:46 I think. I'm pretty boring, but I think it would be fun. Betty Joe, Killing the Rising Sun is an awesome book. Even though I knew the ending, I was still on the edge of my seat. Reading the United States of Trump now. Betty Joe, Killing and Rising Sun, out in paperback. We'll see again tomorrow.
