Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Bill O'Reilly here, welcome to the No Spin News, Monday, February 28, 2022, stand up for your country. So what's going on with President Biden, really? That is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. Well, he's engaged in this Ukraine thing. It's not a phony thing where he doesn't really know what's going on. He does. How much he is making decisions on his own is impossible to say. I wouldn't think that that would be at the top of his chart.
Starting point is 00:00:48 He's basically a frontman for the USA. Today, at 1115, he talked with allies and partners about Ukraine. This was a secure call. They call a secure call. That means no transcript. As usual stuff, but there were inroads made over the weekend about Putin. And also Biden today is getting ready for his State of the Union speech tomorrow. Now, I'm going to make a prediction about that speech.
Starting point is 00:01:23 And it's based on my perception of his energy. level. So Trump just never ended, right? It was like he dazed at the state of the union. He goes on and on and on and on. In the inaugural speech that Biden gave last year, it was 20 minutes. And then he gave another speech, April 28th last year. It was an hour, hour and four minutes. Okay. So he doesn't like to go too long and his staff knows the longer he goes, the more trouble he's going to have reading the teleprompter and, you know, that doesn't look good. So I'm predicting 45 minutes maybe for the State of the Union, and that's short. Now, what is he going to say? Let me get to that later. Let me get to that later because I have some ideas. And tomorrow we're going to devote
Starting point is 00:02:18 a lot of the program to analyzing what by and is likely to say at the State of the Union. And, of course, we'll have the best analysis of the speech itself. But there is an interesting poll, ABC News, liberal news organization, liberal company Disney, no doubt about it. I mean, there's nobody in the structure that I know who's conservative at all. All right. So it's straight down the line liberal company. But to their credit, this is a Washington Post ABC News poll.
Starting point is 00:02:48 their sampling is fair. Democrat 27, Republican 26, Independent 40. That is a fair sample. 1,011 adults, not registered voters, not likely voters, just adults. All right? Random poll. First question, do you approve the job Joe Biden is doing an office? 37% approved, 55, disapproved, no opinion 7. That is a disastrous. number for Mr. Biden. Second question, do you approve or disapprove of the way Biden is handling the economy? 37 approved, same as job. Disapprove 58, no opinion five. Another disastrous number. Question number six, do you approve or disapprove of the way Biden is handling the coronavirus pandemic? Approved 44, disapprove 50, no opinion five. Seven, do you approve of or disapprove
Starting point is 00:03:48 of the way Biden is handling the situation involving Russia and Ukraine. Approved 33, disapproved 47, no opinion 20. It's really too soon to evaluate. I would have been no opinion in that if they had asked me. Two, five days too soon. Okay. Next question is the U.S. House of Representatives being held today. Would you vote for Democrats or Republicans in your congressional district?
Starting point is 00:04:18 Democrats, 42, Republicans, 49. So, as I said, election is about eight months away. That it? March, 6th, September. Yeah, about eight months. Democrats are worried. Next question, under Biden, do you think America's leadership in the world has gotten stronger, weaker,
Starting point is 00:04:44 or remain the same, stronger 23 percent, weaker 48? same 26. Do you think Biden is a strong leader? Next question, yes, 36, no, 59. Disaster. These are all disasters. Okay, this number. Now, why? So I wrote a comment over the weekend called Biden, his time, Putin's Biden, his time. And it shows you why. Why Biden's weakness is harming not only the American people, but everybody in the world. I think, I think I laid out a pretty fair case, let me know. All right, Putin's Biden, his time is the column posted on Bill O'Reilly.com. All right, now I'm going to give you a lot of facts about Ukraine and Russia.
Starting point is 00:05:33 So if you do have a pen and paper handy and you're interested, but I get an awful lot of mail that, and I know running this facts by you, you can't absorb like this. That's why I say, you know, write it down if you're really interested. if you're really interested. So they get a lot of mail and they don't get the information flow, but I'm going to speak a little slower so everybody can get. Now, the first one is casualty. So this is according to the Reuters News Service. Do I believe Reuters? I mean, they have reporters in Ukraine in the field. They do. So they say 102 Ukrainian civilians have been killed,
Starting point is 00:06:17 injured. Seems low to me. That's what Reuters says. Refugees, more than 400,000 people have left Ukraine, according to Reuters. Most have fled to Poland. Others went to Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Romania, all bordering countries, obviously, to Ukraine. The refugee number comes from the Washington Post. Yeah, I mean, that's 400,000. and Reuters, they're both in the same ballpark. So I think that's accurate. Casualties, so how many Russians have been killed? There's no reliable data.
Starting point is 00:06:59 The only number we have comes from the Ukrainian government. It's not reliable. They say more than 5,000 Russians have been killed. You know, I can't believe that. I don't think so. but I'm just using my educated guess factor here. Now, over the weekend, I have a lot of stuff that happened. So Putin himself and Lavov and all his stooges are now being sanctioned personally.
Starting point is 00:07:31 That means they can't go anywhere of note. I mean, I guess they'd go to Shanghai, but who would want to at this time of year? But Europe and the USA and Canada and Australia, they can't go. All right. So the EU is going to freeze Putin and his cronies assets. So Putin's got a lot of money in Switzerland, as I reported months ago, and it's going to get frozen. The Swiss have stepped up. I'll tell you about that in a moment because they're not members of NATO.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Remember that. And they're not members of the EU either. Switzerland goes its own way because it's a banking country. It's all money in Switzerland, yodeling and money. That's it. In the UK, Boris Johnson's slapping sanctions because Russia, the oligarchs, have a lot of property in London. Now, a lot of it's, you know, in trusts and under phony names and all that. but Johnson said he's going to punish Putin and his oligarchs who have property in the U.K.
Starting point is 00:08:41 All right, the Russian planes now cannot land in a lot of countries. Still, they can land here in New York and Dulles and Washington because we're trying to get Americans out of Russia. So the Russian planes still are landing, but in a lot of European countries, they can't land. So you can see, you know, it's a news. and the most important thing is coming up. So the swift banking system whereby you can move money fast, Russia can't participate any longer. And that came from the EU, not Biden.
Starting point is 00:09:17 EU dropped that. So now the banks in Russia are paralyzed. They can't lend money. Interest rates have doubled in Russia, if you can believe it. All right, Switzerland, so it announced today that it would freeze Russian financial assets. assets in the country and setting aside its deeply rooted neutrality. So all the assets, all the money that the oligarchs and Putin himself have in Switzerland frozen. Now, there is a wink,
Starting point is 00:09:48 wink on this. They'll be able to get that money back when the situation, I don't know, stabilizes. Is that the right word? But for now, the money that the Russian have in Switzerland's frozen. Good. But here's the worst. Ready? For the worst on Russia? So the Federation International of Football Association, FIFA, is suspending Russian from competing. Can't play any games. Now, you say, well, why is that more important than financial? The people of Russia, all right, remember, all they hear is that Russia is the greatest guy. Russia is doing a right thing. That's all they hear. But now their soccer team can't play. And they're looking around going, what, what? Because that's their only entertainment in the sports realm, these international
Starting point is 00:10:48 games. And there's a big tournament in March 24th in the European World Cup. They were supposed to play Poland. No. Okay. They're not going to have a match. It's kicking them out. So the The Russian people now know that Putin's actions are serious because their football team can't play. If they hadn't known it already, because in Russia, it's bad. The currency declined 30% today on top of what happened last week. The ruble is worth nothing. And the interest rates, as I said, have doubled. there is no win here for Putin. I'll get to that in a moment, but Putin is basically on a road to
Starting point is 00:11:40 destruction himself. It's not like he's going to come back. He's done. But let me not, I don't want to get ahead of myself. So the UN, as we all know, is a symbolic organization. It has no power. But they basically are discussing over there a war crimes tribunal for Putin. Now, China would block that. It's not going to happen, but it's out there. It's like Putin's saying, well, I got my nuke guys on alert. Okay, fine. And that's supposed to scare everybody.
Starting point is 00:12:17 And it does. I mean, you know, Putin, if he's a madman, he could be. You could launch a nuke if he's crazy. So the UN's saying, hey, you know, we're going to discuss a war. tribunal for Putin. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door or place in a
Starting point is 00:13:01 tax advantage, gold IRA. They'll even help you roll over your existing IRA or 401K, tax and penalty-free. With billions and precious medals delivered thousands of five-star reviews and an A-plus from the Better Business Bureau, you can trust American Hartford Gold as I do. Please call 866-326, 5576, or text bill to 99-8899. Again, that's 866-326-5576-5576 or text bill to 998899. All right, inside Russia itself, we don't get any reportage. There's no free press there. It's like China.
Starting point is 00:13:49 You can't get any value information. So the ruble we know, because that's a world market, fell 30% today, as I mentioned. prices have doubled inside Russia. You know, we're talking about prices for milk and bread and vodka. There are double. I mean, people go, whoa, they don't have any money anyway. Okay? And the Russian banks have doubled their interest rate from nine and a half to 20%.
Starting point is 00:14:18 You need to borrow money in Russia. It's 20% big. So all of this is just. And there are protests in 50 cities across, Russia. About 3,000 Russians have been arrested. It is illegal in Russia, all right, to demonstrate against the government. It's illegal. They can arrest you right away. So all it is chaos inside Russia is why Putin is agreeing to peace talks in Belarus, the neighboring country dominated by Russia to Ukraine. So Ukrainian government and the Russian government are talking in Belarus.
Starting point is 00:14:56 It's not going to be cynical about this, because I don't know, you know, what's happening there. But I know Putin had to do it so that he can report, oh, no, we're engaging in peace talks for his own people. You know, this is – people think that Putin can do this and just strut around. Look what happened to Saddam Hussein. He started with invading Kuwait, and he wound up with a rope around his neck. Now, granted, Russia a lot more powerful in Iraq, but it's the same kind of mindset. So Putin was relying on China, right, to throw in with him. No, that has not happened.
Starting point is 00:15:41 So in the UN, China's ambassador says his country supports negotiations. I love this. all right but does not approve any actions that may exacerbate tensions so they're not throwing in with Putin China's not throwing in with them because China knows it could get hurt economically if it does okay that is huge and here is the piece de resistance China's bank in Singapore huge bank controls all the money flow to China from Southeast Asia has stopped financing
Starting point is 00:16:24 Russian oil trades not taking any Russian money to buy oil in Singapore. Now, I don't think you've heard that anywhere. And I give my credit to my staff that I dug that out because I said, watch China, give me a report
Starting point is 00:16:42 on what China's doing. Now, if that Chinese bank, which again is enormous, not taking any Russian money, not, will not broker transactions to buy Russian oil in Southeast Asia. That's huge. All right. So you can see the octopus that Putin has on his neck. All right. And Putin himself is finished as a credible world leader, no matter what happens. He can never come back. This is why I didn't think he would invade. Remember, I made that. mistake because Putin's about Putin. So now he's got all his stolen billions and he stole that
Starting point is 00:17:27 money. It's not government salary money in Switzerland and Putin has. He stole it. All that money's frozen. His reputation throughout the world is in tatters. China's not even backing him up. Where is this guy? Little Vlad. Where is he? And it's not like he can say, oh, I made a mistake, come home the troops from Ukraine. He can't do that. That would show weakness inside Russia, and the world wouldn't accept it anyway as a penance for Putin. So Putin no longer will be able to participate in world events. All right, he won't. He's not going to be at any of the economic summits. His soccer team can't play anywhere. The Russian national hockey team won't be able to play anywhere.
Starting point is 00:18:23 All right. Everything that Russia has has changed in five days. Everything. The entire country. And there is nothing good about it. Again, that is why I'm a logical thinker. I said, he's not going to waste his legacy and devastate his country for a stupid invasion of Ukraine, which doesn't get him anywhere.
Starting point is 00:18:49 He's not going to do that. That was my thinking. Now, there is a school of thought that says he's insane, that Putin's insane. We'll find out. Okay, because if he does invade a NATO country, that's a shooting war. That will happen. All right. And if he's got his nuke boys, one nuke, and Russia is vaporized.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Vaporized. The whole country. That's how serious this nuke stuff is. They don't, not going to play games with nukes. Anybody ever uses a nuke on this planet, their country's wiped out. Can't remember, France has nuclear weapons, Britain has nuclear weapons, Israel has nuclear weapons. The United States is the largest arsenal you could, on the planet, could blow up the planet a thousand times. There's not going to be anybody left standing. in Russia if Putin were to do it. And the only way anybody would ever do that is if they were mad, M-A-D. Insane. Is Putin insane? Now, if he is, certainly the Politburo's got to know it. And the military's got to know it. If he's crazy, they have to know. And that's the only
Starting point is 00:20:10 way you get rid of this guy, this little rodent from inside Russia. He can be deposed by the military. Like that. It's the military that's keeping them there. Military can take them out. Pulip here doesn't mean anything over there because if you don't tow Putin's line and get a bullet in the back of the head, they're going to tow Putin's line until they know that there's a strong presence that can remove them, which would be the Russian military. Could happen. So again, I go back to this question. Where's the positive for Putin? Where is it? There's not one. And that's what we're dealing with, a guy who screwed himself right into the wall.
Starting point is 00:20:59 So now is the time to take him out, Joe Biden, to crush Putin. So he's gone somehow. Now, we have CIA all over the place in Russia. They've got to be reporting back to us how stable or unstable Putin's position is. We've got assets all over the place in that country. Okay? So the CIA and the NSA and all the American intel, they know pretty much how it's going in Russia inside. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:32 All I can give you are the stated facts, which I have in a clear, concise way, which I have. So I'm not optimistic or pessimistic here because I don't know how insane Putin is. but I'm telling you he didn't have any cards when China and China you think Putin's ruthless China but they're basically saying you know we're not going to throw in with this guy because it's going to hurt us too much
Starting point is 00:22:04 so hey Vlad you're on your own pal that's a good thing that's the best thing that happened and again you're not going to hear you're not going to hear this all right now i usually have a guest on this program on monday and i wanted to have one today i could not find anyone and i looked hard that could advance the situation in ukraine so that it would be worthwhile to have that person on this program i mean it's like i think the first time ever i could not find a guest
Starting point is 00:22:44 Because all they are is parroting the propaganda that's coming out, whether it's propaganda from the Democrats, propaganda from the Republicans, propaganda from Ukraine, propaganda from Putin, not too many Putin boosters anymore. There were a few, but now they're gone because their corporations have told them, you better not. And you know what I'm talking about. corporation came right in and said better stop it there's four or five of them that were kind of rooting for Putin that rhymes not rooting for him anymore there's only one entity not a person is rooting for Putin and I'll tell you about that in a moment now internally in the United States this story is being used for propaganda purposes on both the right and the left
Starting point is 00:23:41 And one of the persons who's being used is Condoleezza Rice, okay, who said this on the Fox News channel. Go. It is certainly against every principle of international law and international order. And that's why throwing the book at them now in terms of economic sanctions and punishments is also a part of it. And I think the world is there. Certainly NATO is there. He's managed to unite NATO in ways that I didn't think I would ever see again after the end of the Cold War. he would be Joe Biden. All right. So Rice's analysis is correct. All right, it is correct. I don't know how much it took to, you know, United NATO. I mean, threat on their doorstep. But be that as it may. But the dishonest left-wing media right away said, well, Rice is slamming Trump.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Trump had nothing to do with Rice's analysis. If she was going to slam Republican politicians, Bush, would have been the first one. Bush the younger. Okay, but she said clearly he's managed to unite NATO in ways I didn't ever see again till the end of the Cold War. That's not really true after 9-11. The world was united against the jihad. But anyway, right away you saw headlines. Connoisseurizes Donald Trump, you know, this raw story.com. Look, it's the Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, raw story, and there's a bunch of others. I mean, if you're reading these things, and what gets me angry is that the aggregates, the news aggregates, carry them. They spread this crap.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Just really unbelievable. All right, Donald Trump. So, first of all, Mr. Trump would be wise to stay out of this because you can't win, Mr. President. no matter what you say is going to be used against you. So there are two soundbys. The first one is taken from the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton radio program on February 22nd. Now you've heard this before, but I'm going to run it so just as a refresher. Go.
Starting point is 00:25:56 So Putin is now saying it's independent, a large section of Ukraine. I said, how smart is that? And he's going to go in and be a peacekeeper. that's the strongest peace force we could use that on our southern border that's the strongest peace force i've ever seen there were more army tanks than i've ever seen they're going to keep peace all right no but think of it here's a guy who's very savvy all right so trump is talking about putin's positioning of the invasion i disagree i i don't think that was smart in any way but the way Putin did it in his propagandistic way
Starting point is 00:26:36 impressed Trump. It wasn't Trump saying, oh, I love Putin. This is great. Putin's the greatest guy. He was analyzing how Putin positioned the invasion. And I disagree with it. But it wasn't propping Putin up, as the far left would have you believe. Second soundbite was Saturday at CPAC. Go. which of course he's smart, but the real problem is that our leaders are dumb. Dumb. So dumb. And they so far allowed him to get away with this travesty and assault on humanity.
Starting point is 00:27:28 That's what it is. This is an assault on humanity. All right, so Trump believes that he were president. This would never be happening. He's entitled to that belief. He can back that up with. I was in office for four years. Putin didn't do anything like this. And on and on and on.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Again, is Putin smart? Yeah. He's smart in a feral kind of way. Word of the day, F-E-R-A-L. Yeah. But it's not like Putin, like Trump is saying, I love Blad. He's not doing that.
Starting point is 00:28:01 He's using this, Trump is, to denigrate the Democratic. agree the Democratic opposition. I think, again, I'll say it, that Trump would be wise to set aside on this until it unfolds. All right, in the CPAC straw poll for president, Trump got 59 percent. DeSantis 28, Pompeo 2, Mike Pence won. But I think Donald Trump has lost a little momentum, which isn't unusual, not unusual, all right? And he doesn't have to regain the momentum until this time next year. You know, so maybe he wants to, he can make his comments,
Starting point is 00:28:39 but I don't know if I would be forefront in this. Doesn't seem to be a big upside for Donald Trump right now. Okay, let's go to USA economics. All right, that's us. So in two weeks, guess, a gallon up 10 cents average 364 per gallon in USA right so we're going up five cents a week here highest price 486 in San Francisco lowest Houston three dollars 14 cents big gap between Houston and San Francisco because primarily of the California gas tax we have it here
Starting point is 00:29:27 in New York as well all right so the stock market goes up goes down in out, you know, very spooky. Don't do anything. I got stopped out. You know, I told everybody to put stops on their stocks. I hope you listened to me. I got to, I lost about 25% of my individual holdings. You don't, you can't have stops on mutual funds. And that's fine. I took profits in 90% of my positions, all right? And it's fine. Now, I'm going to use the money that came in to look for bargains now, because there are bargains out there. But I am so conservative when I invest, and I can't give you investment advice. That's against my personal rules.
Starting point is 00:30:12 But I can tell you what I'm doing. It's exactly what I'm doing. Got to protect what you have with stops. And then when the stock gets taken away, even though you might not want, you can always buy it back. Okay? Or look around for bargains. Okay. Democratic Socialists.
Starting point is 00:30:29 It is a movement. All right, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Talib are the poster ladies for the Democratic Socialist Movement. Bernie Sanders, not a member of the movement, but on his website, he's got a place where you can donate to the Democratic Socialist Party of America. All right. Elizabeth Warren not involved. All right, here is what the Democratic Socialists of America put out. Put it on the screen, quote, DSA reaffirms our call for the U.S. to withdraw from NATO
Starting point is 00:31:10 and to end the imperialist expansionism that's set the stage for this conflict. We call on anti-war activists in the U.S. and across the world to oppose violent escalations, demand a lasting diplomatic solution, stress a crucial need to accept any and all refugees resulting from this crisis, unquote. Oh, so they want for us to pull out of NATO. So the Democratic Socialists of America want to weaken this country. That's what they want to do.
Starting point is 00:31:41 All right. That is Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. The House of Representatives have lifted the mass mandate just in time for the State of the Union address. So Pelosi said, you don't want to all Americans. to see all the Democrats wearing masks when the Republicans weren't going to wear them. She didn't want that. Optic. So the day before she goes, no, no, no, no, we don't have to wear masks anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:16 It's unbelievable. However, some Democrats, the far left in particular, will wear the mask. You'll see it. To virtue signal. Very funny. And also, they're putting up a temporary fence. and also the guard is in Washington. We will have the best analysis before the speech and after.
Starting point is 00:32:37 So I'm going to go on live at the first TV right after, and then Wednesday we'll run everything down for you. But tomorrow, believe me, if you don't know that we are the best of what we do now, then you're never going to know because we are. And I don't say that with any conceit. We work hard. Okay, we work hard. say in history, February 28, 1994, the first NATO military action. Do you know where it was? Can you
Starting point is 00:33:03 think back? 1994? Where was the first NATO military action ever in the Balkans? All right? U.S. fighter planes shot down four Serbian war planes engaged in a bombing mission that violated Bosnia's no-fly zone. You remember that? That conflict was ugly, terrible, and, you know, that was the first action. story. So we usually go to a break, but we're going to do the Disneyland story tomorrow. Okay. But I have to mention that I predicted that Katangi Brown Jackson would be the nominee. You'll remember I predicted. I can play a soundbite. But if you want to see it, January 27th, I predicted she would be that. She's going to get confirmed. Judge Jackson, she is an ardent liberal. But what do you expect from Biden? But she'll get confirmed, no doubt about it.
Starting point is 00:33:58 And Disneyland will do that story tomorrow. This day in history, you've already done. I'm going to take a quick break. Back with your mail in a moment. Vince says, thank you for your reason, conversation about Putin and Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I was blaming Biden for this, but after listening to you, I agree now it is not that it is Putin's fault. And it is. And again, please read my column on Bill O'Reilly.com. Tell you, Bill's show was on fire last night. However, I respectfully disagree. Biden does bear responsibility for the Russian invasion. Putin was allowed to do this. I don't know the word allowed there, Taya. You know, he's charged. He's a dictator of a independent country. Joe Viglione, Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I watch the notes of the news every day in Thailand. So Joe is in Thailand. He's from Pennsylvania. And your segment today on Biden's weakening of the U.S. was outstanding. You stated passionately everything I feel about how Biden's. Progressive Virginia is affecting us. I'm not making any excuses for Biden, just telling you the truth about what's happening. David, concierge member, Bill, for my money, and for as long as I've had premium member status, 16 years. Today's No Spin News broadcast was your absolute best. Well, I hope I can top it this week. Starting point is 00:37:16 Robin Cornick, West Hills, California, is my money safe in the bank? Yes, it is. Don't take your money out of the bank. nothing good can happen. Barbara Mangus, Woodsfield, Ohio, the only good thing that progressives have done is strengthen the Republican Party. We will see. If the grand old party, the Republicans can't win in November, they're never going to win again. Veronica Mantegno, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Hey, Bill, can a president's executive order be overturned by the Supreme Court? Yes. Certainly.
Starting point is 00:37:55 The president can do things that are unconstitutional. Carolyn, I love you, Bill, but every day more evidence comes out about how the election was riddled with fraud. Why can't you admit that? Carolyn, the only way an election gets overturned or labeled a fraud is if in a court of law that is ruled on. If you have evidence, and believe me I have looked, if you, Carolyn, have evidence that proves the election of 2020 was a fraud, please pass it along to me. But you should know that no evidence of an incredible fraudulent experience has ever been presented. individual fraud in counties yes but every court has said it doesn't rise the big thing and keep your eye on this is Mark Zuckerberg and what he did but as far as fraud is
Starting point is 00:39:05 concerned that would overturn an election does not exist Carolyn and but if you have it send it to me Wally Clark Roseville California bill do you think Trump can change his demeanor that has polarized so many Americans. I do not. If he was going to change it, it would have changed already. However, he did change it in the four history shows. Though he can, will he? I don't think so. Okay, some touts. Great word, but I can't say it. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, name in town if you wish to opine. And if you're watching us in Russia, send me an email. I won't tell them.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Okay, quick break back with the final thought that I think you'll enjoy. Power, politics and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode.
Starting point is 00:41:52 All right, time now for the final thought of the day, blaming others. So you saw it in Ukraine right away when the invasion happened to people by Biden. They'll be Putin, this, and the NATO and that, everybody's blaming everything. Okay, so we're used to this in this world. But personally, I have to say that sometimes I blame others for stuff that's my fault. Now I have tried and I have improved on that. Just this morning some stupid thing happened, annoying, but it was my fault. But my first thought was, who did that?
Starting point is 00:42:30 And then I went, it was you. I hate making mistakes. I mean, that's a character flaw in my part. I did a, you know, self-forgiveness thing a few weeks ago. I have trouble with that, forgiving myself or just saying, ah, everybody makes mistakes. When I make a mistake, I like brood about it. It's that Irish brooding thing.
Starting point is 00:42:52 But the tendency is to try to blame somebody else right off the bat. Kids do that. I mean, my urchins do that all the time. They screw up and, I don't know, it's not my fault. You know, you know. All right. But that gets us nowhere, because if you make a mistake, the most important thing is you don't want to make it again, right? And if it's your fault, the only way you're not going to make it again is to not do what you did or didn't do.
Starting point is 00:43:19 So it's easy, but it isn't easy because human agent dictates it's always somebody else's fault. And then if you're a narcissist, and we got a lot of them in America, then you can never admit it. your mistake ever that's the mental malady of narcissism can't ever admit a mistake if you know somebody who will never admit he or she is wrong and notice i do use the pronouns he or she then you know a narcissist and you better be very careful they will turn on you thank you for watching and listening to the no spin news we'll see tomorrow
