Starting point is 00:00:00 Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News, Wednesday, May 15, 2014, stand up for your country. I told you things would happen before November. And I got to say, I was surprised when President Biden announced he wants to debate. Donald Trump two times. I'm really surprised. I don't know if that is going to work out. And I'm going to have extensive analysis on it. But when I heard it, I went, hmm, why is the White House doing this? And the obvious answer is, the White House knows it's in trouble. And that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. So first, the hard news, CNN
Starting point is 00:01:00 debate. Okay, June 27th, Thursday. Don't know where it is yet, but they'll find a place, I'm sure. Both candidates have confirmed now. Donald Trump said he would do it. Both candidates insulted each other in the process of this. Here's what President Biden said. Go. Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then he hadn't shown up for debate. Now he's acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I'll even do it twice. So let's pick the dates, Donald.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I hear you're free on Wednesdays. Snide, right? That's a reference to the trial in New York City. And Trump didn't lose two debates to Joe Biden in 2020. Purely subjective, people believe what they want to believe. But, you know, that's ridiculous. And now he's acting like he's. wants to debate me again, and Biden says he hasn't shown up for debate. What do you mean he hasn't
Starting point is 00:02:03 shown up for debate? When did Trump not show up for debate with Biden? I mean, it's ridiculous. But he just made my point for me, President Biden. Both of these men will say anything. So how can any human being moderate this debate? I mean, my suggestion is get Dwayne the Rock Johnson with a threat of menace. But even the Rock couldn't do this. In order to stop the exaggeration, by herperbola, the misstatements, you would have to interrupt both of them. constantly and that that would just ruin everything so I have a solution and I debated it with Sean Hannity on his radio program today Hannity disagrees with my solution but I'm telling you
Starting point is 00:03:06 it's the perfect solution but let me just lead up to it now so CNN doesn't have the personnel to moderate any debate and I know that sounds like I'm insulting CNN? I guess I am. But Wolf Blitzer, no. Okay? Anderson Cooper, pretty low-key. All right? Jake Tapper hates Trump. Hates him. Viscerally hates him. The ladies of CNN? Who? We saw what Caitlin Collins went through. She couldn't control Trump when they had that town hall. So who, who are they going to trot out? There's nobody. Nobody even close. Now, the one thing that they said, they set up some rules for the debate, that when one of the candidates has asked the question, the other candidates, Mike, is cut off. Because you remember
Starting point is 00:04:03 back in 2020, the Trump interrupted Biden all the time. Biden did the same, but not to the extent that Trump did. So that's good. So you don't want the other candidate just, you know, blasted away, let the guy finish his statement. I like that. The conditions are the same pretty much. But here's something interesting. RFK Jr. is eliminated. It's one-on-one only. Okay?
Starting point is 00:04:34 Poor RFK Jr. He doesn't get in it. And there are time limits. You know, they always run through them, but you've got to have that. And, you know, basically it's the standard procedure. So I'm going to give you, an example now of how both candidates stretch or ignore the truth. Roll it. Other people aren't
Starting point is 00:05:00 good shit. I think inflation has gone slightly up. It wasn't 9% when I came in, and it's now down about 3%. In a state of the union this week, Crooked Joe told a total fairy tale about the economy. But the fact is, under Biden, we have a three-year inflation rate of almost 50%. Under me, you had no inflation. You had no inflation. Okay. First of all, Biden keeps saying that he inherited a 9% inflation. It's absolutely false. The White House itself acknowledges it's false. It's 1.4%. And then Trump says Biden's 50% inflation. The number is 19%. Not 50%. All right. So this is what any moderator, is up against. Then you have the malice factor. These guys hate each other's guts. They are going to get personal down and dirty. You are going to see attacks on families. It is, and that's why it'll be the highest rated debate of all time. Never in our history have two presidential candidates hated
Starting point is 00:06:14 each mother as much as Biden and Trump. Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams came close, but there was no TV and radio back then. They had to, like, yell out the window, like the guy on the movie network. But these guys hate each other. So there's not going to be any boundaries of civility. So it's a mud fest. I'm not going to say it's a cat fight, because these guys are much big.
Starting point is 00:06:44 bigger than cats. Now, here is the solution. A, I have me the moderator, but that'll never happen to millionaires. My former network wouldn't let me debate. You know, I went one day to Roger Ells who ran Fox News. I said, why don't you let me run a debate? And he looked at me, he goes, because we'd like to have some in the future. If I moderated, there would be no nonsense, but it would devolve into maybe a Barney Frank moment. You know, if you don't know what I'm talking about, Google O'Reilly, Barney Frank. Anyway, there should be a different format, and here is the format. And I'd like to get your point of view, because Hannity disagrees with me on this. It's bill at bill o'Reilly.com name and town. You have a one hour and 10 minute debate, okay,
Starting point is 00:07:35 where a human being, again CNN's got nobody, ask questions, and follows up. Then the two, but the two can't interrupt each other. When it's their turn, they can say, hey, that's a bunch of BS. They can do that, but they can't interrupt while the other's speaking. Okay, so we get through an hour 10 of that. Then there's a 10-minute intermission,
Starting point is 00:08:01 where they get water and combing their hair, whatever they want to do. They come back for another 30 minutes of a fact check. So I'm the moderator, okay? I'm sitting there. My cracked staff, which could do it, has then given me 10 misstatements by Biden, 10 misstatements from Trump. And that'll just scratch the surface, trust me. And then I'll say to Mr. President, you said this.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Here is the fact. Do you want to reply? So you've got 30 minutes at the end of the debate to fact check it. Doesn't that make sense? Nobody's going to turn it off, right? So instead of a 90-minute straight debate, you have 90-minute, you have a little bit more than 90 minutes of action and a 10-minute intermission so the moderator can get the stuff in front of him.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Okay, my solution, it's perfect. There's no downside to that. But listen to Hannity's argument. I told him it was like two Irish guys in a pub and write me and let me know what you think. It will not happen. It's way too out of the box for CNN. They're way too frightened to do it. And again, they don't have anybody who can do it on their whole entire staff, which says something.
Starting point is 00:09:29 And that's the memo. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver. Theroux, the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning, I'll bring you the stories that matter, plus the news people actually talk about,
Starting point is 00:10:47 the juicy details in the worlds of politics, business, pop culture, and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, joining us now. We're pleased to have Kimberly Guilfoy. You remember her, my old colleague. She's not old, but, you know, when we were at Fox News together, she now works for the Trump campaign.
Starting point is 00:11:20 He's got a brand new book out, The Princess and Her Pup. We'll talk about that at the end of this interview. All right, so I'm going to let you take this. You heard the announcement today. Were you taken by surprise, first of all, about Biden wanting these two debates? Well, a little bit because I think he was going to continue to sort of dodge and duck and obfuscate
Starting point is 00:11:46 because he really does not relish the idea of debating President Trump. He's already making misstatements, like you pointed out, in your memo. He did not win those debates. President Trump has not ducked him. He has said anytime, anywhere, any place. Yeah, that's outrageous. Thank you. Thank you. And this is why I used you on the O'Reilly Factor, if people remember. Thank you for pointing that out. I mean, the President of the United States gets up on a videotape that's going to go all over the world
Starting point is 00:12:16 and says Trump's ducking him on debates. And it's 100% false. But that just, that just makes my point that these two, and I'm sorry, but Donald Trump embellishes and exaggerates, you know he does, everybody knows, not to the extent that Biden does. I think Biden leads the league in that, but that's just my opinion. All right, go ahead. So you were caught by surprise as I was, and now you say, well, let's see if he even actually shows up to do it. I think that it shows sort of the desperation and the current state of affairs with his campaign right now, with his plummeting poll numbers. I think he had to do something to show that he cannot hide from the president before he hit in the basement. We had a lockdown, a bunch of things
Starting point is 00:13:04 going on. So he really was able to avoid that. You know, they wrote a little nice speech for him there. I get it. Human beings are prone to hyperbole. So they're both maybe get exaggerated a little bit, but what's factually accurate is President Trump would love and is relishing the idea to debate Joe Biden. Joe Biden doesn't have the stamina. He doesn't have the cognitive ability to be able to go forward and debate President Trump in a meaningful way. Now, as it relates to your idea, which I think is very interesting, and I love this as a former prosecutor, and yes, I used to do, is it legal? Very highly rated segment on the O'Reilly fact every Tuesday. fact check them.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Yeah. Do the 10-minute intermission and then come back with the facts and say, hey, this is where you made a statement. It's sort of like a Pinocchio thing. And when you were doing your memo and talking about it and saying, well, who can they get? There is no one. There is no talent left in the building at CNN. I'm not sure at what prehistoric time there was talent there, but it's certainly not there now. I don't know who's going to be able to control either one of them, quite frankly.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I mean, you know the president in a long time. President Trump, that is, and he's a very commanding presence. You saw when he debated Hillary Clinton. He was walking around on the stage. They couldn't control him. He's moving around. It was actually quite funny to see. And Hillary was like, silent screaming inside because she found it very unnerving.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I know you could handle it. And that's a funny story about Roger Ailes because I 100% could hear him saying that. I'm thinking, well, if O'Reilly did a debate, guess what? I could handle it. But I want to throw out a few. I'll throw out a couple of names of other. people so that people know where I'm coming from and where you're coming from, because we're professionals, we're, this is inside baseball. The late Tim Russert could have absolutely done this.
Starting point is 00:14:56 He worked for NBC, meet the press, and the late Mike Wallace at CBS 60 Minutes. Absolutely could have done it, okay, because these are men or were men, people. All right, I think Barbara Walters, if she wanted to, which she wouldn't, because she didn't like to get into controversy, You might have been able to do it, but you have to look them in the eye and say, even if you favor one or the other. Now, I favor Donald Trump for re-election. My audience knows that, because I have to tell them, and I have on the no-spin news, why? I think Joe Biden's a second worst president in the history of the United States. And I'll back that up in my upcoming book confronting the president.
Starting point is 00:15:45 president. But anyway, even though I want Biden to lose because he's damaging the country in ways that people don't even understand yet, I have to treat him fairly. I can't go in the tank for Donald Trump. And if Donald Trump, as I just pointed out, says inflation under Biden's 50% when it isn't, I have to say that. All right. But at CNN, it's not a matter. of these people being in a tank, they're not MSNBC. I mean, that's the absolute worst. CNN just doesn't have the skill set, the people over there, to do it. I mean, I think that Aaron, what's her name, is probably the best of them.
Starting point is 00:16:33 She's on at 7 o'clock. But, I mean, I'm looking at the roster, and I don't see anybody there who could possibly run this debate. so the American people benefit. See, the candidates shouldn't, that's what the moderators should be doing. We don't care what the candidates. I mean, the partisans do. Now, here's another question for you. Even before the debate happens, and we assume it's going to happen on the 27th of June,
Starting point is 00:17:05 80% of the country has already decided who won, even before they turn out on the television. So no matter what Trump does, the MAGA people go, Trump want to debate. And no matter what Biden does, even if he collapses on the stage, they'll say Trump had a secret potion, and that's why he collapsed.
Starting point is 00:17:24 But it's the 20% in the middle who don't know who are going to make the decision. And that's the importance of these debates. I totally agree, because that's where it is. That's a sweet spot, that 20%, the people that are undecided, the independents that are looking to make a decision. There's people out there that are saying, you know what, I'm going to put, you know, my family first over partisan politics and my party.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And I want to see which one of these people that can actually lead the country out of this economic and financial abyss that we're in with a lack of any kind of superiority in national security, foreign policy. America is definitely not safe these days. It was much safer, far less geopolitical conflict under President Trump. And so I think people are looking at all these things. But I hope they get it because I'm not confident that CNN can bring this off. All right, tell me about it's kpupp.com, by the way, if you want to buy Kimberly's book, The Princess and her Pupp. I should have just called it Gilfoilfoyle. Gillfoil puff.com.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Tell me why you wrote the book and why people should read the book. I'm going to give you about 45 seconds a straight plug. Go. Generous. I wrote the book. is a passion project. My mother worked as an educator with special needs, children, and I feel more than ever with what's happening in the country, children need something that is pure, that is inspirational. It's about rescue dog and a little princess that have fears. Together, they face
Starting point is 00:18:55 their fears. You're more courageous with a little friend, and it's a very sweet book. 10% of the proceeds go to furry friends for animal rescue to prevent animal abuse and find forever homes for animals. This is a real rescue dog, little Jack. with his little eye patch, the little pirate patch that Don Jr. and I have. So it's a very nice personal message, and I dedicate it to my son Ronan and in memory of my parents. All
Starting point is 00:19:20 very admirable. And where again can people get the book? KGPUP.com and also on Amazon. And then guess what? This is what President Trump is going to get when he debates Joe Biden. The weakly toy in the brain.
Starting point is 00:19:39 You can get this for your favorite cup along with the book and my dogs they just love they can't get enough of this guy so let me get the straight it's the president of the united states is now reduced to a chew toy is that that's right with the squeaky okay and you know what trump's going to do with that he's going to smash it against the podium or something all right Kimberly thank you for appearing we really appreciate it good luck with the book i hope you saw a lot of copies okay hey it's sean spicer from the sean spicer show podcast finding you to turn into my show every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. Starting point is 00:21:18 You don't want to miss an episode. Here is the president's schedule. It's Law Enforcement Day at the White House, which is worth. Okay, so he's got a bunch of stuff to honor law enforcement, and we're all for that. No Trump trial today. Tomorrow, the Michael Cohen thing, more cross-examination. I have melded Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen into Stormy Cohen. Just a safe time.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Okay, just so when I refer to that, you know what I'm talking about. On Friday, no trials because Baron Trump, the president's son, graduates from high school. Now, last night, there was an interesting back and forth on News Nation, not involving me. It was Leland Vitterd interviewing Anthony Scaramucci, former Trump communications director, who now does not like Trump. Roll a tape. Is Donald Trump guilty of improper use of campaign finance money and hiding something that needed to be disclosed prior to that presidential election? And I think he'll probably be guilty of those things.
Starting point is 00:22:20 But that's not what he's charged with. He's charged with falsifying business records, not disclosing it. Exactly. Oh, okay. So whatever he's being charged with Leland, the facts are there, he's guilty of what's being charged. But Scaramucci doesn't know what's being charged. But he's guilty. I don't know what's being charged.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Joining us now from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is Bruce Michael Rivers. He is a high-powered attorney. He's been in the courtroom for 20 years. I mean, that's a long time. And he's been watching this trial unfold. And the reason why we booked Mr. Rivers is that he has predicted a lot of stuff that's come true. So, first of all, I read your POV point of view before we went on the air. You feel that Donald Trump's in some kind of jeopardy right now.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Is that correct? I do, and I think that the defense has made some mistakes, and I think they've made some mistakes because they're playing to their boss, basically. It's a case that should be very narrowly tried. they've gotten into the weeds with the stormy Daniel stuff and going after Michael Cohen. And they're really the only issue in this case is whether Donald Trump knew how things were recorded and what the purpose for the recording of them was. Okay, but there's more, though.
Starting point is 00:23:49 So Scaramucci doesn't know what the crime is, and Bill O'Reilly doesn't know what the crime is. It's 34 felony counts. So what is the crime? So the crime is falsifying business records, which is a misdemeanor. but if you're falsifying business records to cover up another crime, then it becomes a felony. What's the other crime? There's two other crimes. One is tax because they're disguising these payments as legal fees.
Starting point is 00:24:19 That's the allegation anyway. And then the other crime that we're dealing with is if it was used to cover up something for an election and you have federal election campaign finance laws. All right. Now, first when you say tax, but he's not charged with any New York state tax violation. That's never even been discussed. No, no, no, he's not charged with that. But that's what I want to stay in, the realm of what crime he committed.
Starting point is 00:24:48 So that goes out the window, counselor. The second one is campaign, misusing campaign funds. But these were his personal funds, his business funds, not from any donations that came in to help his campaign. These checks were written off his business ledger. Correct. But it's not misusing them. It's not reporting them. It's campaign finance law violations. So you have to report these expenditures and report them as campaign. Why? He's not using his own personal money to advance his campaign. He's using his own personal money to protect himself against allegations. Remember, a guy who was a doorman at Trump Tower got $30,000 from the Trump Organization through the National Enquirer for bogus fictional garbage.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Okay? So the reason that he got the money was because the Trump organization didn't want to deal with the media in any of this. That's why. Well, that's true. But if that was related to the election, then it was an in-kind contribution. to his campaign. When you say related to the election, what does that mean? He's running for president in 2016, but he's still a businessman, a family guy, wife, child,
Starting point is 00:26:18 you know, extensive family. I mean, how can you make that determination? Because I haven't seen it. And if you have, I want you to tell me that what Trump did in cutting these checks to his lawyer, not directly to these people. How can you say that Trump's intent was to mislead voters? How? That is the question for the jury.
Starting point is 00:26:42 That's exactly the question for the jury. But it hasn't been answered. I don't think it's been answered by the prosecution, do you? Well, Michael Cohen did testify that the whole purpose was this because of the Billy Bush thing that came out. And this came out right after that. And so they were trying to keep this hush, hush, because of the election and not because of his paper. Well, Michael Cohen says it's because of the election.
Starting point is 00:27:08 But there's a reasonable doubt about that. It could be because he didn't want to embarrass his family. He didn't want to hurt his business. He didn't want to be trashed by the media. I mean, Michael Cohen can say anything he wants. All right. So the jury's got to decide that. But it's still murky, very, very murky.
Starting point is 00:27:28 The second thing is, if Trump, Okay, had criminal intent, that is to mislead New York State voters. Where is that? Is it just hinge on Michael Cohen? Is that it? Is there anything else? No, I think it's bookended by Michael Cohen and David Pecker. David Pecker was the first witness testified.
Starting point is 00:27:55 But he was just a conduit. He doesn't know the internal workings of Donald Trump's mind. I think he did, actually, because he met with him several times, and he knew the purpose for which these payments were made. And he would correct me if I'm wrong. Peckers' testimony was they didn't want the story out, not that Trump consciously wanted to mislead voters. I didn't hear Pecker say that, did you?
Starting point is 00:28:23 I didn't actually hear or read his testimony in the full. Thank you. Thank you. But he didn't say it. So that goes out. I'm putting myself on a jury. Now, there's a man named Alan Whistleberg, who's in jail, who was in charge of all the Trump money. Why didn't the prosecution call him to back up Cohen? I think they didn't call him because he has an agreement with Trump, and they didn't know what he was going to say.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Oh, they didn't know what he was going to say. So he could have blown up Cohen's testimony. He very well could have. Okay. So again, reasonable doubt, reasonable doubt, reasonable doubt, right? Or am I wrong? Well, I think the case is a bit stronger than you're making it out to be, but it really does hinge upon Donald Trump's intent. And if the Whitney, and you also have to look at circumstances, not just the exact thing people say. The circumstances under which every thing came to pass. So you take the whole package, all the people testifying, together and can that lead you to the conclusion that he was doing this for the purpose of keeping
Starting point is 00:29:36 this from the voters? And if they come to the conclusion, he's sunk. Well, that's true. But if I'm on the jury and I'm talking to my peers, the other 11 people, I say, yeah, you can come to that conclusion, but you can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. To use a cliche, there's no smoking gone that said Donald Trump did this solely to mislead voters of New York State. It doesn't exist. Last word. Well, I think you hit the nail right in the head bill. And I think that is the question for the jurors. But I do think that jurors are allowed to use their common sense and we'll see what happens. All right. But appeal is guaranteed because of the shenanigans of Stormy Daniels and the judge and all that. So even if they come back with guilty, it goes into the state, then it goes to
Starting point is 00:30:31 the feds and all that, correct? Yeah, but I think on the Stormy Daniels saying the Trump's own attorneys invited that error. So I don't think that's going to be an issue. All right. Very good, counselor. Thank you for the debate. We appreciate it, giving us a lot to fill you to think about. All right. Let's go to the media. Robert De Niro, Trump Hater, on the view. Now, if you invite somebody like Donald, like Robert De Niro. Very fine actor, by the way. If you invite someone on, you know what he's going to do. Roll the tape.
Starting point is 00:31:04 What more do you need? It's almost like he wants to do the worst that he could possibly do to show this country to f*** with us. His slogan should be, America. I want to fuck America. Okay, so why would you invite someone like that to demean the former president.
Starting point is 00:31:27 If I had a guest and that person said, F. Joe Biden, that person's gone. The interview's over. I would not permit that. They knew ABC News, which runs the view, knew that De Niro was absolutely capable of doing that, because he's done it a hundred times before. Why would you put him on your air ABC News?
Starting point is 00:31:53 You know, I take this personally because I just, I used to work for ABC under Peter Jennings. And I had a very good two years there. I know on World News more than a hundred times. Okay. What's happened over there hurts me. That was wrong. Catholics against Biden. I want to show you a picture.
Starting point is 00:32:16 All right. Throw that still a Biden up. He's making the sign of the cross. but he's making the sign of the cross at a pro-abortion rally in Tampa, Florida. Okay, just digest that for a minute. Come back to me. So the president of the United States, an avowed Catholic, blesses himself at a pro-abortion rally. Now, we all know that Joe Biden doesn't believe in. any restraints against abortion at all and promotes it as something noble, reproductive rights,
Starting point is 00:32:59 all of that. That's between him and his confessor, if you're a Catholic. But in public, making the sign of a cross at a pro-abortion rally has angered some American clerics. Roll the tape. Alicante in Spain, said that making the sign of the cross in support of abortion constitutes a sacrilegious gesture and the desecration of the sign of the cross. Bishop Munilla said that crossing oneself is meant to be used as a sign in which we remember that Jesus gave his life for us. He gave his life for all the innocence. He gave his life to restore innocence and to make us saints, end of quote. To use the sign of the cross as Biden did, however, is to invoke the cross in a sacrilegious manner.
Starting point is 00:33:56 All right, that was Bishop Thomas Proprakke, and he is in the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois. Biden is losing support among American Catholics. I'm not quite sure it's because of the abortion thing. Could be economy like everybody else, but got my attention. All right, the FBI says there have been assaults on law enforcement. across the country, stayed and local at the highest level in 10 years. Okay, last year, there was 79,000 assaults on police officers in America. 79,000.
Starting point is 00:34:32 That's up from 47,000 in 2021. So in two years, you go from 47,000 to 79,000 assaults on police officers. That's pretty startling. Okay, 194. police were killed in these assaults. Why is this happening? Social disorder. When you let the criminals run wild, when you don't incarcerate violent people, and the police confront them, going to have more of this. And that's what's happening. University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, booting out DEI and bringing in tougher security on campus.
Starting point is 00:35:19 $2.3 million, the university spends, is being suspended from diversity, equity, and inclusion and given to campus law enforcement. Way to go. That's just a start. Harvard reaches a truce with the protesters who are in Harvard Yard. They say that they will listen to the protesters regarding disclosure and divestments of the Harvard Management Company. what they want is no investment in Israel. That's what they want.
Starting point is 00:35:50 So they're discussing it, and the people occupying Harvard Yard are going to leave. I told you this would happen. The end of the college year, protests go away. They all want to go home and have some fun. Let's see. Smart life. Saving money is hard. I'm going to rush through this because I got a couple of things that I want to do here.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Here are the five hardest places to save money in the United States of America. Number one, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, suburbs of L.A. Then, L.A. itself, Long Beach, Anahon. Third, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Florida. Those prices in Florida are going through the roof. Then New York, Newark, Jersey City, Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta. Five best places to save money. Detroit, Chicago, D.C., Dallas, Seattle.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Now, saving money is crucial for your well-being. You've got to have a budget and stay within the budget. You have to do that, or you're going to go down. The state in history, May 15, 1978, George Wallace, campaigning for the presidency, he's a third party, okay, shot by an assassin, would be assassin, in Laurel, Maryland. Wallace was the governor of Alabama and a odious racist, will it take? It is very appropriate, but from this cradle of the Confederacy, this very heart of the great Anglo-Saxon Southland,
Starting point is 00:37:29 that today we found that drum for freedom as have our generation of four bears and for us done time and again down through history. Let us rise to the call of freedom-loving blood. freedom-loving blood that is in us and send now answer to the tyranny that clanks it changed upon the South in the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth I draw the line in the dust and tossed the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny and I say segregation now segregation tomorrow and segregation forever
Starting point is 00:38:11 1963. Oh, boy. So a guy named Arthur Bremer shot him. Wallace was paralyzed. The rest of his life, suffered, suffered grievously. Bremer is still alive. He served 35 years in federal penitentiary, released in 2007. He's 73 years old. Wallace died at 79. That happened. What was it again? 82 years ago today, let me, I threw it away and I got it, 52 years ago today, the old memory, O'Reilly, 52 years ago. I got a good mail segment and a final thought. We'll be right back. Here is the mail. We got Joe Sully, Sedona, Arizona, love the show. I like Trump, in your opinion, how he deal with inflation. The reason inflation is so painful for us, the consumer is because the federal government under Biden is printing too much money and the federal government is spending too much money. When you put more dollars in circulation, okay, the prices
Starting point is 00:39:16 go up because the dollars aren't worth. There's too many of them. So Trump would have to stop much of the discretionary spending, and I think he would. Michael Pelt, Jacksonville, Florida, the national crime wave and general disrespect for law and order started at after the George Floyd killing. Yes, it did. But it accelerated when the progressives got into the attorney general seats and the district attorney,
Starting point is 00:39:47 and they wouldn't prosecute crimes. But you're right about the origin of it. Jerry Abjeman, Salida, Colorado, when the government justice system overextends itself, why can't you appeal immediately to a higher court? Trump can afford his legal team, but everyday people will go bankrupt. That's right. If you're charged with a crime and you're convicted, you're going to cost you so much money to appeal it and all that.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Very few Americans can do it. That's absolutely right. Jay Keith Haynes, Anniston, Alabama. Bill your analysis of the situation between Israel and Palestinians, spot on, thank you for being brave enough to actually state the truth. It's not bravery. It's my job. I don't feel particularly brave.
Starting point is 00:40:33 I mean, I'm just doing what I have to do. David Brooks, Fair Dealing, Missouri. I recently said if Ukraine falls, then Putin will go on to try to dominate other states in Eastern Europe. That's the domino theory. But they said the same thing in the Vietnam War, and that never happened. That's not true, David. Cambodia and Laos were communists. and when communist, because of the North Vietnamese,
Starting point is 00:41:04 and there's a big difference between Hanoi and Moscow. Putin is a thousand times more powerful than Hanoi. So we're not going to stop. If he gets Ukraine, the world is in really bad shape. Kevin Gatrell, Wall Lake, Michigan, I'm interested in purchasing the killing books. Are they still available in hardcover? Well, welcome back to the United States, Kevin.
Starting point is 00:41:28 I guess you've been in Borneo for the last five years, All of my books are hardcover. All of them. You get them on Bill O'Reilly.com. We got them bundled up for you. We'll go to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I mean, the back list of my books still sell all the way back to killing Lincoln. So anyway, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:41:47 I'm making fun of you a little bit, but the hardback's available if you want them. And the new book, Confronting the Presidents. And, boy, we have good stories in there. Then we have a more upscale gift for dad, leather bound, limited edition, a killing patent, one of our most popular books. This is beautiful. It's a little bit more expensive. but you want to consider it if you like dad or granddad. Then we got the self-reliance mugs
Starting point is 00:42:37 twinned with the not woke mugs for the graduates. Self-reliance is the message you want to give them. And finally, we have a book bundle, and this is for anybody who wants a great gift, killing the witches, the legends, the killers, the mob, Crazy Horse, 33% off all of those books. We'll send them all to you. Where they do not be mockish, M-A-W-K-I-S-H.
Starting point is 00:43:05 We'll be back with the final thought in a moment. All right, the final thought goes back to the talking points memo on the debate. It's going to be a fiasco. There's no way it can't be a fiasco. Record audience, June 27, okay? As I said, 80% of the country already has the winner in the debate before it takes place because people believe what they want to believe. that isn't that's one of the things that I said something's going to happen that's one of them
Starting point is 00:43:34 something else is going to happen but I don't know what it is because I didn't know this surprised me this morning this debate thing but you know this election boy this is quite something I don't think I've ever covered something this intense in my entire 50 year career thank you for watching and listening to the no spin news we'll see you on Monday. No, we'll see you tomorrow. It's Thursday. I will be here on Thursday. I'll see you then.
