Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News. Tuesday, October 22nd, 2004, stand up for your country. Two weeks from tonight, and it'll go fast. I'll be on News Nation analyzing what happens. in the presidential vote. Two weeks. Exit polling is everything, as you know, once the polls close in the states, there will be almost instantaneous results from, I'd say, 40 out of the 50 states. We know pretty much where they're going to go. The other 10 will be back and forth.
Starting point is 00:00:53 But that's where I will be. We will not do a news news that day because it's obsolete with everything going around. However, we are going to have the night before the election on November 4th, Monday, another live Q&A where you can ask me anything about the election. Okay? You have to be a premium or concierge member of Bill O'Reilly.com to participate, but we are asking you to send questions now. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com,
Starting point is 00:01:28 Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, and we'll get to as many as we can. It will be live. And I think we're going up eight or nine. I'll check the time, but we're going to go live on it. It'll be a close one now. And remember, if you sign up for premium
Starting point is 00:01:45 or concierge membership, you get confining the presence or any of my books free. So it's really, I hate to use a cliche no-brainer. I hate that, but that's what it is. Now, back to the election. So my opinion is Donald Trump's going to win, but that's just an opinion. It's not a prediction. I'm going to give my prediction on Halloween, which is appropriate because this is a bizarre election.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Now, don't believe the stories about early voting tally. States are not allowed to give that information out. It would be a violation of a federal election law. So this is just ginned up, made up speculation by the corrupt media. Do not believe those stories. Okay? Votes are being tabulated, but again, can't put them out. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Finally, the whole election is way too emotional at this point, and we're all over. this and I've got a whole bunch of stuff in the hopper. So stay close to us because you'll get the truth here no matter what it is. Talking points memo is about a key vote this year. I believe Latino voters will decide the presidential election. Let me back that up. So there are right now an estimated 36 million Hispanics eligible to vote in the USA. That's a big crew. And that's according to Pew Research, and we believe that's accurate, all right? The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Projects that 17.5 Latinos will actually vote.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Half will vote. Okay? Now remember, undocumented migrants, whether the Latino or anybody else, cannot vote. If they do, it is a felony. federal. So just remember that. All right. The top five states with Hispanic voters are California. That's going to Harris. Texas, that's going to Trump. Florida, that's going to Trump. New York, that's going to Harris. Arizona is the fifth, and that is up for grabs. All right? There are a lot of Hispanic voters in Nevada as well, and that's very, very close.
Starting point is 00:04:17 So when you add all this up, the Latino vote is crucial. Here is the latest poll. This is a Suffolk USA Today poll. All right, Latino voters. Donald Trump, 51%. Kamala Harris 44. Now, in 2020, Latinos broke for Biden big. 65 for Biden, 32 for Trump.
Starting point is 00:04:46 So you could see a humongous difference there. If Trump gets 50% of more of the Latino vote, he wins. There's no doubt about it. So keep your eye on it. Now, final question on the talking points memo. Why are Latinos turning against the Democratic Party? There are two reasons. First one is money in your wallet.
Starting point is 00:05:12 And every American knows that they were better under Donald Trump. economically than they are now. That's indisputable. You had more cash. The second thing is cultural. And I'm generalizing, of course. But the Hispanic culture, and I know it well. I mean, I spent a lot of time south of the border from Tijuana all the way down of Buenos Aires. I mean, I know the area. Spanish culture is much more conservative than the San Francisco values that Kamala Harris represents. I mean, much more. Okay? There's not a lot of transactivity being promoted in Latino countries with the exception of Brazil, which really is, you know, that's a whole different thing, Brazil. But Latinos tend to be Roman Catholic. There are much more
Starting point is 00:06:13 observant Catholics than Anglos, and the culture is more conservative. I think they like this radical stuff the progressives are bringing on. So it's economic and it's cultural, and that's the memo. All right, schedule as President Biden greets the president of Slovenia. That's Melania Trump's home country. Then he goes to New Hampshire to tell everybody to vote for Kamala. Okay. is in D.C. doing two interviews, which we will analyze extensively tomorrow, NBC News, and Telemundo. That is the key Latino thing. Both campaigns know it. Donald Trump is having a roundtable with Latino voters in Miami. Okay? Then they know, just what I told you. And then he's going to Greensboro, North Carolina for a 7 p.m. rally tonight.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Carmel Harris has raised more money than Donald Trump in September by a pretty significant margin, $220 million for the vice president, $63 million for Mr. Trump. But it doesn't really matter because both campaigns have more than enough money into whatever they want in the next two weeks. All right, so Harris has $400 million on hand. Trump has $300 million on hand. They can buy whatever spots they want, do whatever they want. They already have their people in place on the ground and all that.
Starting point is 00:07:50 So it's my job to report what's happening in the election, but that's not a significant factor. Here's a very interesting story. The committee for a responsible federal budget. We've had their president on Maya McGinnis a couple of times on the no-spin news. They're not partisan. I had my producers check again to see if there's any. bias left or right. And there isn't. We can't find any. They say if Donald Trump is elected and gets what he's promised done, that Social Security funds will run out in six years. That's pretty
Starting point is 00:08:24 frightening. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text bill to 998899. Again, that's 866-326-5776 or text
Starting point is 00:09:27 bill to 998899. Power, politics, and the people behind the headline. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, newsmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week. on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode.
Starting point is 00:10:13 All right. However, Trump's not going to get what he wants because what he wants is anybody getting Social Security, and remember, we paid into it, doesn't have to pay tax on the money. That's never going to happen. Congress will never do that. Even a Republican Congress wouldn't do that. And no tax on tips and all that other business. So Trump may want to do it, but it's not going to happen even if he is election.
Starting point is 00:10:42 And you heard it here first. However, the spectre of Social Security running out in six years is real. But even if that happened, the federal government would have to inject money into that system. Take it from somewhere else. If you really want to know how crazy things are, you look at the food stamps. in America. And how much that's gone up in 10 years. I'll give you the stats tomorrow on the food stamps, right? There's a signal of my producers. Let's do a food stamps thing. I mean, the amount of money going out. And look, if you're hungry, okay, I got it. Fine. I want the
Starting point is 00:11:23 safety net, but you've got to have some regulatory oversight on it. Crazy. What the Biden people it. Now, this election is really not about Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. They are the figureheads. And Trump is a force of nature. He's a head of a movement, the MAGA movement. Harris is just a machine politician. What this is about is a drastic change in traditional America. If Trump wins, traditional America comes back to some extent. If Harris wins, it's all going. on. The America that we grew up with, particularly the baby boomers now in the 50s, 60s, early 70s, Vietnam shook it up a little. But it's gone. Progressives don't like the country. They feel that it's a white patriarchy and all of that. So it's just gone. And we've gone over this.
Starting point is 00:12:23 But that's really what this election is all about. It's very historically significant. all right it's not nearly what the biden trump was this is way beyond that because progressives feel that they've got it they got the power all right we're going to with this close to whacking out the supreme court to whacking out the filibuster in the senate to changing the tax code to punish success we're this close to getting those white guys out of there and opening the border to millions of foreign nationals, this close. That's what this election's all about. All right, two divergent political philosophies. Here's what I said on my YouTube commentary, which was filed yesterday. Go. If Harris wins, it'll be a continuation of the progressive
Starting point is 00:13:18 movement. We're really not a great country, so we've got to change everything to bring social justice to the Americans who have been harmed by the white patriarchy. That means white people rule. That's what the progressive movement is. You're going to change everything. All right, so that's on our YouTube channel, and you can sign up free on that. It's YouTube.com slash O'Reilly. I do two a week, and I'm going to up it to three, if anything break, that's important.
Starting point is 00:13:55 So YouTube.com slash O'Reilly free YouTube channel. You might want to check that out. All right, media med. There's 60 Minutes thing. This isn't going away. And I said yesterday, if it is proven that CBS falsely edited the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris, that was Bill Whitaker. If they falsely edited that and it comes out, Harris will lose. Because Americans can only take so much corruption.
Starting point is 00:14:22 This would be the most corrupt act ever. the history of the national media if it's true. So let me run it down for you. October 7, 15 years ago, 15 days ago, 60 Minutes ran the interview with Harris. There are accusations that they falsely edited the interview, and there's some data to back that up. And so there has been a course of demands
Starting point is 00:14:50 for 60 minutes to release the full transcript to see if there have any false editing. Makes sense to me. They should release it. Now, Donald Trump is a suing now, or threatening to sue CBS. Here's a statement that he put out yesterday. Quote, we therefore demand that you immediately provide him and publicly release the full unedited transcript of 60 minutes interview with Kamala Harris. Additionally, in contemplation of possible litigation, we demand you preserve all
Starting point is 00:15:19 communications documents relating to this interview together. than he edits of communications or documents, unquote. Okay, so Trump now is using this as a campaign hammer. And again, CBS could stop it immediately by putting out the transcript, which it should do. There's no reason not to do it. It's the right thing to do for the country. The CBS is a liberal network. They want Kamala Harris to win.
Starting point is 00:15:53 I understand that, and so do you. But you don't deceive. And I'm not saying CBS did. All right, I believe in due process. But I am saying they're making a horrendous mistake. Roll a tape. 60 Minutes is not putting out the transcript of the Kamala Harris interview so that the folks, the people watch CBS in 60 Minutes,
Starting point is 00:16:16 can see if there's a. any chicanery word of the day involved. And I'm saying to myself, what the paramount duty of any reporter, any journalist, any network news is to have the people consuming that news product feel confident about it. And to not release a transcript when you are under now lawsuits, Trump is threatening you, everybody's coming after you for allegedly helping Kamala Harris in an interview by editing it falsely. To not put that to bed immediately. It's shocking to me.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Now, in addition to Trump, there is a lawsuit already filed, or an action, by the Center for American Rights. Okay? They filed a formal complaint with the FCC Federal Communications Commission. to have the transcript put out. Joining us now is Daniel Sir, who is the president of the Center for American Rights. It looks at me like you're a conservative organization. Would that be accurate, Daniel? I think that's fair, Bill. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Okay. So what has driven your organization to get involved with this? It's really the lack of trust on the part of the American people with our major media institutions. We, as the American people, own the public airwave, and we trust the FCC, the Federal Communications Commission, to ensure the public is protected when it comes to what goes across the airwaves. One component of that is that news broadcasters have a responsibility not to manipulate, suppress, or distort the news. And we think CBS failed that responsibility here. You know, CBS is basically saying, look, everybody edits interviews, which is true, and our policy is not to do our internal stuff publicly.
Starting point is 00:18:21 That's a little more dubious. They have put transcripts out in the past. But the key question here for you, Daniel, is do you have any indication at all? Only if you do, I want you to show it to me or tell me about it, that they did falsely edit this interview to help Vice President Harris. well here's what we know bill on sunday of last week they aired the 60 minutes clip bill whittaker asked one question and got one answer on 60 minutes the next night bill whittaker asked the exact same question on the tape but got a completely different answer that is it seems to me the definition of manipulating the news when you have the same question
Starting point is 00:19:02 with two completely different answers and let me jump in CBS says it did that because to shorten it up, they didn't have time for the complete answer. You know what obloviator Kamala Harris is. What do you think of that reply? I think CBS has a duty to be honest with the American people. It's the American people's airwaves. It's something that they're licensed to use. And they owe the American people transparency.
Starting point is 00:19:31 It's so simple, Bill. Like you said, just release the transcript. And we'll put this issue to bet. There's no doubt about that. I'm just trying to get into the fabric. You don't have any information that says directly that the fix was in. They tried to help Kamala. You haven't seen anything like that, correct?
Starting point is 00:19:46 All we've seen is what the American people have seen. And that's two different questions, the two different answers to the same question. Now, you know that the FCC under President Biden, who's in office until mid-January, isn't going to do anything. You know that. What I know, Bill, is that when a Fox affiliate in Philadelphia aired a story that was supposedly biased on January 6th from a few years ago, the Federal Communications Commission kept the investigation open. The Biden-appointed chair ordered public comment
Starting point is 00:20:21 on the complaint that was filed by a left-wing media group. So if the FCC is going to take that complaint seriously and order an investigation, it needs to apply the same standard to the complaint we found. Yeah, but it needs to, is never going to happen. You know how political games are played. question. You guys are also after ABC News for their debate bias. Explain that action to me. Absolutely. The Federal Communications Commission, again, has a standard in law that says debate
Starting point is 00:20:54 moderators must be neutral, impartial, and nonpartisan. They can't favor one candidate over another. What we saw in the ABC News debate was consistent bias in favor of one candidate, and we learned afterwards from public comments from the moderators that it was designed that way, that the fact-checking system ABC used was intended to target just one candidate, President Trump, which is why it shouldn't be a surprise during the course of the debate. The moderators intervened, intruded into the debate again and again on behalf of the vice president and against President Trump. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning, I'll bring you the story.

It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Make sure you tune in. You can find us at Apple Podcast, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. And what do you, do you expect the FCC? This is different from the, from the CBS complaint. It's a different complaint. Do you expect the FCC?
Starting point is 00:22:43 See, they're going to say, hey, that's your opinion. Daniel, sir, is a conservative. He's going to get an opinion. So, you know, we're not going to really do anything. Is there any hope that the only thing that I can see is the congressional hearings when they finally come back on all this stuff. And that'll be after the election. I'd welcome Congress to look into that. I think it is indicative of where the American people are at, Bill. You say this all the time. There is such distrust with our major media institutions because of the bias we see. And somebody needs to do something about it, whether it's Congress or the FCC or President Trump, the American people deserve better than what they're getting.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Well, I hope so. But I don't know about Trump because he wants it all his way. I don't know if he's going to go in and demand fair and balance. that's for another day. So you and Trump have filed with the FCC will follow the story. How can folks get in it, you know, follow your organization, the Center for American Rights? How can they follow it? Yeah, it's real simple. We're American rights.org. Find us on the internet and read about the complaint for yourself. We're transparent. I hope CBS will be too. Okay. American rights.org. Thanks, Daniel. Appreciate your time today. All right. College faculty members, this is going to come as no shock. There's a poll conducted by inside higher education and Hanover research. Thinking about the
Starting point is 00:24:08 election, these are college professors, okay? 1,133 at 739 schools. Will you vote for Harris Walls? 78%. You go, yeah, 78%. Trump, 8%. I don't know who the other 14, probably. I'll be free to say what they're going to vote for. So Trump might get some of those. But 78 to 8. When thinking about the falls election, do you plan to discuss the election one-on-one with students? 20% yes, 61, no. Will you discuss with students in your class?
Starting point is 00:24:49 30, yes, 58, no. Will you encourage students to vote for a certain candidate? 2% yes, 96, no. So it's a C.Y.A. there. They're covering their butts. But, you know, when you have 76% of any group voting a certain way, you know what the indoctrination is. I was in Middlebury, Vermont over the weekend. In Midderbury College is Loonville. It's insane. And it's $80,000 a year to be crazy. And I'm walking in through the town. I'm looking at all these signs. And the Black Lives Matter and the rain, this and if you live in Middlebury don't even we're not even talking about students if you're just a person you couldn't exist there that's how pronounced and of course Middlebury Vermont is built because of the school which was once a very prestigious school no longer
Starting point is 00:25:54 okay now smart life very simple tonight. When you make a mistake, admit it. Smart life. I made a mistake recently, and I'm going to tell you about it. So it was a terrible political ad by this hater, George Conway, all right? A despicable, you know, it's helpful. And he got money through a political action committee and put it on a bunch of stations. a bunch of networks. Now, I said that Newsmax was one of those who ran the ad. They did not. My mistake. Not blaming anybody. I did it. Okay. So Newsmax got in touch with me, and I'm happy they did. And they asked me to read a statement from them, which I will now. Quote, the anti-psychopath
Starting point is 00:26:53 PAC did submit an ad relating to President Trump. After careful review, Newsmax rejected the ad because it included unsubstantiated allegations. He had never aired on Newsmax, unquote. Well, good for them. Good for them because a whole bunch of other people, including Fox News, ESPN, Golf Channel, CNN, MSNBC. They all ran it. But Newsmax didn't take the cash. Good for them.
Starting point is 00:27:23 But the overarching on this, smart life for you, make a mistake. mistake. Washington State, you know what it is out there. Oregon, Washington State, Pacific Northwest, very left wing. Now they're paying for it on the roads. So traffic fatalities in Washington State of 51% in five years. Fifty-one percent. Why? Two reasons. Legalized pot. Oh, everybody stoned. Was that Bob Dylan's song? Everybody must. gets stoned, well, here we are. Fifty-one percent traffic fatalities up in Washington State. The other reason is law enforcement. I mean, Washington State's a big defund the police place on the western side of the state. Eastern side of Washington State, they're team normal.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Western side, Seattle, King County lose. And so the cops saying, you know, there's not enough police, they're cutting back, you know, all of that. But Washington State, if you're driving there, be careful. NBC sports, Sunday night football. I love this story. So Trump goes to the jet Steelers game, which was a good game for a half, and then the Steelers waxed the jets in the second half. And Trump's in a box. He was invited there by the owner of the box, all right? And you can see the crowd. The crowd was, you know, thrilled that he was there. NBC showed him one time during the game, once. Some conservatives got very upset by that.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Roll it. The crowd went wild, but you wouldn't know that if you were watching the game on NBC network last night, which showed the president for only a few seconds. I think it was about three seconds at the end of the first quarter, and then that was the end of showing Trump. This is the same NBC,
Starting point is 00:29:24 like every other television network broadcasting, you know, like Kansas City. Chief's game has a camera practically entirely dedicated to capturing Kamala fan girl Taylor Swift and her reaction to every down, every play when she's in attendance. So I see it differently. I mean, of course you're going to go to Taylor Swift 85 times because she's a pop icon. I don't think it has any political component at all to do that. She's just there she is and gets women more interested in the game. I don't know. but if I'm the director of the game and there's Taylor, I go two, three times to her.
Starting point is 00:30:01 With Trump, NBC, like CBS, very liberal culture, extremely so. They didn't want to show them at all. They had to show them once, but they didn't want to show them at all. Now, I kind of understand you don't want to inject politics into a sporting event. I hated it when that happened in the Olympics and when the NFL players were kneeling down. hated it. So you got, you know, a wide variety of people watching a football game on NBC and you don't want to just overdo the Trump thing. I think maybe twice would have been good, but it's NBC. Now, if Fox had been broadcast in the game, Trump probably would have started
Starting point is 00:30:45 at wide receiver. So that's where we are. Stay in history, October 22nd, 1986. Ronald Reagan, signs a tax reform act this is really interesting and if you're watching with a pen and paper you might drop this down all right so that was 38 years ago and and Reagan's big on tax reform particularly because he wanted to gin up the economy in his last two years in office so the reform act comes in and it drops all the tax rates for wealthy individuals goes from 50% to 385 okay then it goes down to 33 in 88, the last year of Reagan, okay, which is lower than it is now. Okay. Businesses is dropped from 50% to 35.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Now, that's higher than the corporate taxes now. And the individual tax rate, when you average in all the deductions, the mortgages, all that, is 15%. That's the average back in 1986. Now, it's about 15% as well, but you pay a lot more because you are taxed in more areas. So the average American workers paying about $14,300 a year to federal government and various levies. Okay? And back when Reagan signed the Tax Reform Act, the country had a $2 trillion. dollar debt. That was 38 years ago. Now the debt is 36 trillion. Thank you, Joe Biden. And to some
Starting point is 00:32:35 extent, Donald Trump in his first four years, but you had COVID, you had all that. Not an excuse making, just reporting. Anyway, Reagan was a tax cutter, as was JFK. All right. My philosophy is fair share is a lie. We should pay our taxes. Everyone should. but they have to be reasonable. We don't work for the government. The government works for us. I'm back with a final thought in a moment. All right, here is the final thought of the day.
Starting point is 00:33:10 So we have poll on bill o'Reilly.com. We'll keep it open, by the way, if you want to weigh in on Brett Baer's interview with Kamala Harris. Was it? Good, fair, or poor? 64% say, Bear did a good job. 31, fair job, 5% poor job. So Brett Berry scores on that.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Now, Saturday Night Live, which obviously is a deeply entrenched in a left-wing culture, but there's a lot of talent over there. I mean, there is. I watch pieces of it. But Alec Baldwin, my pal from Massapequa, Long Island, returned as Brett Baer and went up against Maya Rudolph, who just, she slays me. I mean, I think this woman is hysterical. So it's Baldwin as Bear and Rudolph as Kamala.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Go. And now when I interviewed President Trump, my first question was, what do you think is the most important issue facing our nation? So my first question for you is, give me the exact number of murderers you let loose in this country. Brett, I'm glad you brought up the topic of immigration. A million, two million? Okay. The first thing we did in office was to introduce a bill. Ten million? Give me a number.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Brett, we came up with a bipartisan bill. But did it have a number, though? May I please finish? I'm asking you to. Well, then you have to listen. Well, I can't because I'm talking. Well, when will you stop? And maybe when I go to bed?
Starting point is 00:34:43 Okay. And that's hard to do. Okay, it's boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. You got to, you know. So anyway, satire is satire, and I appeared on Saturday Night Live in that What Up with that, Keenan Thompson skit? That was a great experience for me. It was hysterical.
Starting point is 00:35:09 And I still, you know, even though they got a little mean with the anti-Trump stuff, and I didn't like that. Now they're back to more satire, and I hope they stay that way. Again, a recap, we will be on News Nation tomorrow night with Cuomo. Then there is a J.D. Vance Town Hall on News Nation on Thursday, which I will be a part of. Plus, I don't want the progressives to take over the country.
