Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News for Wednesday, June 12, 2024, stand up for your country. Lots of stuff going on today, too much. So I have a tendency to, a lot of energy, go quickly. I'm going to try to slow it down a little bit. Because there's so much, and it's important to you, to understand what's really happening here. So number one, politics is just overwhelming
Starting point is 00:00:39 everything else in this country right now. And most people don't even know. They don't pay attention, and they're watching news operations that are being dishonest. They don't really know what's happening. So today, the Attorney General Merrick Garland and Congress, but it heads.
Starting point is 00:00:57 So the Republican House is three, threatening and probably will issue a contempt citation to Garland. And Garland doesn't care because he knows that the Supreme Court, if it gets there in five years, which they know the executive branch, which is what he's under, doesn't really have to honor subpoenas by Congress because they're two separate legislative Congress and executive the presidency and his cabinet members. Ireland knows that. But nevertheless, Congress was going to go, you're in contempt because you can't give us or won't give us the audio recording of President Biden being interviewed by Robert Herr about the documents in his garage in Biden's garage. And her says, I'll give you the transcript, but I'm not going to charge Biden because he's to be fuddled. He's an old man. That's a quote from her. Well, Garland doesn't want you or me or anybody to see on tape how befuddled Biden was.
Starting point is 00:02:07 So he's holding it back. That's wrong. All right, Merrick Garland is a public servant and should release that video so that everybody, every voter, can see the president's mental state. There's no question about that. This is a suppression of information. And the Republicans in the House are right to issue a contempt citation, but it's got going anywhere. That is our system, okay, checks, balances, and all that. And sometimes, many times, the truth is the casualty.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Okay. So the talking points memo is about we, the people being overwhelmed at this point by political controversial controversy. Okay. So what's a difference between the Trump trial and the Hunter Biden trial? There really isn't much difference because both situations would never have come to a trial if it were anybody who was ordinary. All right? So New York City never would have conducted a felony trial on business situations they never have. So we know that. But because it was Donald Trump, and these were progressive judges and prosecutors and attorney generals and district attorneys,
Starting point is 00:03:39 they did it to get Trump. Everybody who's honest knows that. Hunter Biden, same thing. very few Americans, even if they lie on their gun forms, even if they are drug addicted, okay, would be charged of the felony by the federal government. They don't take the time. Those are low-level beefs. But because Hunter Biden had a laptop where he said all kinds of crazy things and he was seen
Starting point is 00:04:13 with the gun and everything else, the feds had to bring the case. Garland didn't want to bring it. He tried to, as you remember, sleaze in a plea deal that would have exempted Hunter Biden from any other prosecutions. And the judge says, I'm not going to do this. So Hunter Biden wound up being convicted of three felonies. But if his name were Hunter Simon, he would have been slapped on the wrist or not prosecuted at all. Okay. So when you report this, you don't get an honest take because the media is rooting, not reporting, it's rooting for one side or the other.
Starting point is 00:05:01 And when you root, your objectivity flies out the window. It's impossible for you to relate the truth to the American people. Now, let's take me, for example. I don't root for anybody, okay? I want the best for you, the American people, and for the country. Not rooting. All right? I have clearly stated on this program and backed it up a thousand ways that Joe Biden is the second worst president in our history.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And when you read confronting the presidents, I will lay out that evidence so clearly. Now, people believe what they want to believe. I understand. I'm not going to convince everybody. But I know, and I can prove that Biden is as incompetent as anyone, any president, other than James Buchanan, who nobody knows anything about. All right. So in the face of that, I don't want Joe Biden to be president. I don't want it. He's hurting everybody. His policies are insane. mental acuity is tragic at this point. And we have proved it over and over and over and over again.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But I'm not rooting for a party. I just want him gone. And on the other side, the argument is made that Trump is just as bad or worse, and those people, those hate Trumpers, want him gone. But in my assessment, the way Trump governed the nation, light years better than the way Biden has. And again, we will prove that tonight. So both the Trump and the Hunter Biden trials were politically motivated. There's no question they were.
Starting point is 00:06:59 All right, we have to accept that because that is a truth. Now, obviously, the Trump situation, 10 times, 10 times, 100 times. It's more important than Hunter Biden. But the upcoming tax evasion trial in California, that begins in September, okay? September 5th is really important because this could implicate President Biden. That's why Hunter Biden will plea this out.
Starting point is 00:07:30 He will plead guilty. He will not go to trial here because his father will be dragged in. Now I have a shootout with, Sean Hannity on Hannity's radio program today, and you I want to hear this. So I'm Bill O'Reilly.com. Because Hannity comes at it from a far different place than I come at it from. We arrive at the same conclusion, Hannity and O'Reilly, but we're coming at it differently.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And it was a pretty lively debate, I have to say. So Hunter Biden is important only because he may have participated in the United. corruption with his father, the then vice president, and then now the president. If that is proved, and the only people looking at it are the House committees, this is the biggest scandal of all. The FBI and the Justice Department not even investigating whether a former vice president, Joe Biden, took money in relationship to his brother and his son, even investigating it even though on that laptop hunter Biden it clearly says i got to set aside money for the big guy now everybody thinks the big guy is Biden in a court of law you couldn't prove that
Starting point is 00:08:54 the big guy hunter Biden coming oh no is uh pony soprano i was talking about or whoever you know you know You know what the game is. All right. So forget about the tax evasion thing. Hunter Biden's going to plead guilty. And after the election, if Biden wins or loses, he will pardon his son. No matter what he says now. That will happen.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Now remember, I'm making predictions here. Okay. Enter the media. This is a final part of the memo. So because the media is rooting, all of them, all of it is rooting some more obviously than others. They're going to suppress information that hurts their guy and exploit information that helps their guy. We don't do that. All information is presented to you for your consideration.
Starting point is 00:09:58 okay which is why we are prospering beyond belief i said to somebody today at my advanced age i'm working harder than i have ever worked in my entire life i'm running three corporations here okay tv radio and books and the amount of um uh incoming from all is staggering because we're worldwide now And it's because people are catching on. They can't trust the networks or the cables. They can't trust them. And this is serious stuff. This affects your life directly.
Starting point is 00:10:40 If Biden gets four more years, all of us will suffer grievously. Every American will suffer if he's reelected. And that's a memo. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. national debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets, and meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door or place in a tax advantage, gold IRA. They'll even help you roll over your existing
Starting point is 00:11:22 IRA or 401k, tax and penalty-free. With billions and precious metals delivered thousands of five-star reviews and an A-plus from the Better Business Bureau, you can trust American Hartford Gold as I do. Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text bill to 99-8899. Again, that's 866-326-5-7576 or text bill. Bill to 998899. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays. Every morning I'll bring you the stories that matter, plus the news people actually talk about,
Starting point is 00:12:06 the juicy details in the worlds of politics, business, pop culture, and everything in between. It's what you want from the New York Post wrapped up in one snappy show. Ask your smart speaker to play the NY Postcast podcast. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcast, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, so Biden's off to Fisano, Italy.
Starting point is 00:12:29 That's on the Adriatic Sea. Very beautiful on the eastern coast of Italy. He's there to participate in the G7. The G7 are Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the USA, United Kingdom, and the European Union out of Brussels. And they talk about, you know, Israel, they talk about Ukraine, talk about the economy. Biden will be there.
Starting point is 00:12:51 two full days. I don't know why he came back from France. He should have stayed over there and then gone, but I don't know what he's doing. But he'll be back on Friday. Then he stops in D.C., I guess to get a soda, and he goes to L.A. to raise more money. It's really, and he'll be with the Hollywood swells, who are so stupid it's beyond belief. These people in Hollywood, I have come to the conclusion are so dumb, D-U-M-B. They have no blank an idea what's happening in this country. They live in their castles. All they do is talk to people who tell them how great they are. They know nothing, but they can raise big money. And Biden, boom, boom. So he's going from Italy to Washington for 10 minutes and then out to L.A. Trump, not much. He's going to do something
Starting point is 00:13:46 this weekend, and I'm giving you both Biden and Trump schedules on a daily basis. How about the border? All right, big executive order, okay? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, since that executive order, 5,000 migrants are here, since it was issued, and that is 72% of all migrants crossing since the executive order been released into the USA. Good job, Joe Biden. You're really on. What a ruse. What a ruse. What a, uh, Oh, my God. And this comes from the Border Patrol itself, all this data. Okay?
Starting point is 00:14:24 What are you going to say? Border agents in San Diego say they have been given instructions to exempt citizens of more than 100 countries from being removed. So Biden signs the executive order and then secretly says, don't enforce it. Nice. Now, here's a big story. Okay. So, Tajikistan, you know where it is, right?
Starting point is 00:14:54 I think there's a club med there, right? All-inclusive. Let's go to Tajikistan. It's a Muslim nation. And it borders China. It's in that eastern part of the European land mass. Eight Tajik's have been arrested coming across the southern border. got in here, okay, they're ISIS people. So Homeland Security and the FBI arrested eight of them
Starting point is 00:15:25 for plotting a terror action inside the United States. Hey, Joe Biden, hey, how's that open border working for you? Tajikistan. Now, network, all that, suppress the story. Boom. Tell you what, a terror attack is launched, Biden's through. Okay, he'll be impeached, but he'll have to resign. Now, this story is, was welcome by the New York Post, a reporter named Jenny Tar. And she says, I can't confirm, this is what the New York Post is reporting, that the FBI picked up these guys and were monitoring them with wiretaps. is what she says. Do I believe it? Yes. Do I believe there are terrorists here right now plotting to kill us? Yes. Do I believe they came across the open border between the USA and Mexico? Yes, I do. That's why I would never, under any circumstances, even consider voting for Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Some stats. But first, as you know, Hunter Biden's attorneys tried to pray on the jury by saying, oh, you can't hold Hunter accountable. He's a drug addict. That's called the substance abuse excuse. Oh, no, no. Yeah, he did it, but he's, you know, you got to feel sorry. And he's rehabbed. So, no, no, we don't hold him accountable.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Well, I believe that's very dangerous. And you know that. Let me give you some stats. All right, this year alone, federal government will spend $44 billion, on drug addiction, just to address the situation, law enforcement, rehab, everything, $44 billion. In 2019, last out's available. $442 billion was lost in the marketplace and in various activities because of drug and alcohol use. $442, that's almost a half trillion dollars. One year, drug abuse is associated with 33% of all crimes committed in America,
Starting point is 00:17:39 according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, 80% of prison inmates abused drugs or alcohol, 80%. And 10% of all on welfare are involved with substance abuse, according to Politico. So, do I feel sorry for drug abusers? Yeah, I do. Do I have some admiration for people who rehab and get clean? I do.
Starting point is 00:18:06 But I also tell those people, you are to be held accountable if you hurt other people. And that means shoplifting everything. Any crime you commit, any crime, you have to be held accountable for. Addicted or not. But most importantly, the federal government, the state government, and the local governments all have to protect innocent people, particularly children. Remember, 70% of all children,
Starting point is 00:18:38 child neglect and abuse in America is caused by substance abuser. Seventy percent. The kids are getting hammered. The governments have to protect innocent people from substance abusers. They have to. Joining us now is a man who might see it differently. He is Dr. Daniel Bober, psychiatrist, chief medical officer
Starting point is 00:19:04 for the Mental Health Television Network. I'm going to know us from Hollywood, Florida. So I don't, I'm not giving any, any Attica pass. I know about the disease. I know about the predisposition. You hurt somebody else. You got to pay a price. Where am I going wrong?
Starting point is 00:19:20 I think it's a complicated issue, Bill. I agree that you don't absolve people of responsibility because they're substance users. But we know addiction is a brain disease. It does affect people's self-control, their ability to exercise, restraint, their judgment, their insight. And sometimes they do hurt other people. But I do think that you're correct that we should not give them a free pass and that people who commit crimes, whether they be substance abusers or not, need to suffer the consequences of their action. And in fact, even in dealing with addicts on a daily basis, we tell them you have to experience the natural consequences of your actions.
Starting point is 00:19:57 So I don't think that they are. Yeah, it's just a matter of implementation. So let's run it down a few things. Number one, all human beings have a free will. Even if you're predisposed to addiction, and I may be because I've had addiction to my family, and every single person watching me, all millions, watching and listening tonight, Doctor, have had addiction in their family or among their friends, everyone. But just because you're predisposed doesn't mean you're going to become an adult.
Starting point is 00:20:24 You have to choose to enter that life. You have to make a choice to do it. Nobody's forcing the booze down your throat or the needle into your arm, okay? So you choose, and in this day and age, every single human being knows the danger of addiction, particularly with the fentanyl. Everybody knows it. Yet millions of Americans still choose to give up their life for substance abuse. Am I wrong?
Starting point is 00:20:57 You're not wrong, but I think human beings are deeply flawed, just like people choose to eat fried chicken and they get a heart disease. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't approach them with compassion, with dignity and respect, but obviously they're still responsible for their actions. All right. The best way to handle this, and I did my thesis at Harvard on this very subject, is mandatory substance rehabilitation for criminals. So you commit a crime, and you're an addict, you come into the court, and the judge says, You either get a year or two, whatever it may be, or you go through the system, and we hold you while we're going. Or you go to rehab. Now, that's going to be a big investment on the part of the federal government and the state governments to build humane rehabilitation centers.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And they should be humane, staffed by people like you. Okay? But it's already happening. But it's not happening on a national level. In Singapore, it does. Now, they're not real touchy-feely over in Singapore. So if you're caught under the influence of substance, you're gone for 22 months. It takes the market away.
Starting point is 00:22:11 The pushers are nobody to sell to in Singapore. Plus, if they catch the pushers, you can be executed. They're going to hang you. Okay. So there's no drug problem in Singapore, none. And I extensively, I went there to that country, extensively documented how Singapore eliminated all its drug problem. at one time opium overran that country gone that is the way to deal with substance abuse is it not
Starting point is 00:22:42 listen i i understand you're taking a hard line approach but addiction is about so many things as you said it's about genetics it's about trauma it's about poverty uh it's a line that runs through every social ill in society so you certainly can take a hard line approach but it is a disease that needs treatment. There are drug courts that have diversion for people that are willing to get treatment, and a lot of times it's mandatory. But I think it's a very, very complicated psychosocial issue. All right. But final thing. If a drug addict or alcoholic says, no, I don't want to be rehabbed, I like living in a state of inebriation. And most, according to all the studies, don't want rehab. Then you have to be really tough or innocent people get.
Starting point is 00:23:30 hurt last word i agree with you i think addiction uh is a very complicated disease there's certainly an element of choice that's involved in it and if people aren't willing to get help then they have to experience the natural consequences of their actions all right doctor appreciate it good to see you again thanks for helping us out take care now okay now here's another story you don't hear anything about but it's going to come back and it's going to bite us all hey it's sean spicer from the sean spicer show podcast reminding you to every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. President Trump and his team are shaking up Washington like never before, and we're here to cover it from all sides, especially on
Starting point is 00:24:10 the topics the mainstream media won't. So if you're a political junkie on a late lunch or getting ready for the drive home, new episodes of the Sean Spicer Show podcast drop at 2 p.m. East Coast every day. Make sure you tune in. You can find us at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. Power, politics and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors,
Starting point is 00:24:46 lawmakers, newsmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode. Government spending. So this year, the federal government will have to borrow more than $1.2 trillion. Can you imagine that? So our federal government in Washington is borrowing that money.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Where? Anywhere. They're selling bonds to foreigners, to people in the United States, U.S. savings bonds. They have to sell $1.2 trillion, they being the federal government, the Treasury Department, in order to make bill payments that we have, unsustainable. All right. So Joe Biden, biggest spender in our history, okay? Three and a half years, he has racked up $6.3 trillion in debt.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Trump in three and a half years, $3.3 trillion. But Trump was a big, big spender as well. Okay? So just keep that in mind. The combination of Trump Biden has lifted our debt from $20 trillion to $28, no, to 37. It's unbelievable. from $20 trillion to $37, the combination. And now we're going to have to spend all this money
Starting point is 00:26:28 buying planes and ships to counter China. Now, I can't predict how this is going to hurt us economically, but it will. Congress needs to first pass a balanced budget amendment. That's the first step. And then you're going to have to take a look at national defense and you're going to have to cut entitlements. You can't have the socialistic programs
Starting point is 00:26:51 that the Democratic Party wants. You can't. We can't afford it. Awful. Smart life. If you lead a life of delusion, your life isn't worth very much. Drug addicts, alcoholics, they live in a diluted state.
Starting point is 00:27:22 They don't care about doing good things or being patriots or any of that. All I want to do is get high. It's a waste of a life. Those of us who are responsible, though, some of us live in a diluted state as well. No matter how much evidence you see, you're going to drink five Coca-Cola's a day. And then you're going to get diabetes or whatever,
Starting point is 00:27:45 and then you're going to go into the... You're going to go into the health care system and on and on and on and on. Now, as far as knowing what's happening to your country, if you don't pay attention to it, you're not a patriot. It's very simple. Don't be waving a flag on a 4th of July if you don't know what the deuce is going on. You should be disqualified from even watching fireworks. But if you do know what's going on, it's getting harder and harder and harder to find the truth, as we said in a talking points memo. So there is a study by newsguard, newsguard.com, and we've checked at this place out, and they seem fair, okay, newsguard.com.
Starting point is 00:28:27 And it says now there are 1,265 pink slime news outlets on the net. That means there are liars. Okay, 1,265. That's a lot. By comparison, local newspapers in the USA, 1,213. So there are more dishonest websites dealing with the news than actual newspapers, and a lot of those newspapers are dishonest. So you have a very hard time getting what's really happening.
Starting point is 00:29:09 That's why you're here. I know that. Okay? And that's why I continue to do. this. Because you've got to be a place, right? We're the place. Five most dangerous cities in America, here they are. Bessemer, Alabama, that's south of Birmingham, 16 miles. Odds of becoming a crime victim in Bessemer, one in nine. Memphis, Tennessee, totally out of control. A much bigger city. 237% higher crime than the national average. Memphis is
Starting point is 00:29:44 really a troubled city. St. Louis, right behind it, one in 50 chance of being a crime victim in St. Louis. Detroit, we know about. Urban decay, chaos, drug addiction, poverty, everything. You're going to Detroit, you're wandering around, might not work out well. And Birmingham, Alabama. So Alabama, you've got a big crime problem down there. 98% more crime than every other community in Alabama, Birmingham. Well, okay, this day in history is not actually a day. This is one of my favorite stories, because it's a little lighter. I know it's been a grim, no spin news tonight. I want to give you something. So baby boomers like me, we were there, at least alive, when rock and roll began in the mid-1950s.
Starting point is 00:30:43 The most prominent rock tune was released in 1955, which started the rock movement, was a song called Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets. Go. When the Coxpikes, 12 will cool off and start a rock and around the clock again. We're going to rock around to rock tonight. We're going to rock, rock, rock till broad daylight. And that started at all. That song was featured in a movie called Blackboard Jungle, classic movie. Sidney Portier, Vic Morrow.
Starting point is 00:31:28 You haven't seen that movie, Blackboard Jungle? It's black and white, but you should watch it. Okay, so then after Rock Around the Clock, and it was a tsunami of rock songs, the most successful individuals that capitalized were, of course, Elvis Presley, the king of rock and roll, a guy named Fabian Forte. There's Fabian. Couldn't sing at all, Fabian. But very successful. I met him, a good guy. Frankie Avalon, all right, from Philadelphia. Frankie's still around. He was a beach party guy, too. Paul Anka, Big Vegas guy wrote a lot of great songs, including My Way. He's still around. Buddy Holly, he died in plane crash in 1959
Starting point is 00:32:18 with Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. They were going around to concerts in their private plane crash. And Ricky Nelson, who was very influential because he was on Ozzie and Harriet. And every week, that was a sitcom in the 50s, he would sing a song and he was a big rock idol too. Well, from 55 to 1964, okay, rock just swept the world, not just the United States, and then the Beatles showed up, and then it kind of changed and transitioned. But that was 69 years ago today, not today, but this spring, that rock around the clock and the rock movement was ushered in. I remember that so vividly.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Some of my favorites were Chuck Berry, all right, sweet little 16, Johnny B. Good. Boy, he could play the guitar. I love Chuck. The killer, Jerry Lee Lewis, loved him. I like the flamboyant guys, you know. But I had a record collection. I still have them. The 45s. And in my garage, I got tons of them. But I was big into that. I was, what, 7, 8, 9, 10, and that really. And then the beach, boys came in. I love the Beach Boys, still due to this day. What a great sound. So I've got a final thought about book reading and how it improves your life in some ways that you don't know. Right back with it. All right. Final thought of the day, obviously I'm invested in books and
Starting point is 00:33:55 want you to read my books and other books as well. So we are the best-selling nonfiction authors in the world. And I'm bragging, I know, but isn't that incredible? I remember way back when, when I couldn't get a book published, I go, am I ever going to get a book published? My first book was a novel, those who trespass. I love that book, by the way. We still lose that way. You can get it. But anyway, we sell more copies, nonfiction, anybody else in the world. And now there's a study by an outfit called Real Simple, online source of practical information, the benefits of reading. Here they are. Increases intelligence, okay, makes you more empathetic. Wow. Helps you better understand the world content, reduces risks of Alzheimer's. That's true.
Starting point is 00:34:49 It stimulates the brain. Helps you relax, improves your sleep, encourages your lifespan, increases your life. and encourages long time reading. Now, at night, before I go to sleep, I always have a book. And I know a lot of people read on the dopy machines. That's not the same thing. But I have four or five books stacked. And I can read for about anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour, but then my eyes can every go right to sleep. So I'm learning before I go to it. I'm a practical guy. And it's dying out now. All right, the book reading thing, it's dying out because of this dopey machine. Because here, you only have to read three, four minutes, and you get what you want, and then you get a book that's 300 pages. Oh, no. Come on. Older people,
Starting point is 00:35:38 mostly older Americans, buy books because they like them. You can get addicted to book reading. That's a good addiction. So keep that in mind. Now, we will be off tomorrow. As I said, top of the program. I just, I need a day off because there's so much bedlam here. I got to get a whole bunch of stuff in order.
